Well, hello there, everyone...
Hope you guys have fun along the way and I have been thinking about something. Character Profiles are dumb when I think about it and while I still don't intend to scrap such an idea, I guess they do get in the way of my creative liberty since I have some ideas for this story and the Character Profiles kind of ruin it.
But don't blame me for it because I do need to upload a story where I won't get to waste time making titles, summaries, putting images and what not and it just comes across as hard alright.
Still regardless, if you have anymore ideas, let me know in the comments below.
Now, as always...
Enjoy the story.

Enjoy.
The crimson sun of Kepler-186f cast long, eerie shadows from the alien foliage, painting the landscape in hues of rust and violet.
In the middle of it all stood Xyron-76 who stand unmoving at the edge of a clearing, his imposing eight-foot frame a silhouette against the strange, ethereal glow of the twin moons that hung low in the sky and his metallic exterior, a blend of polished chrome and gunmetal grey, shimmered faintly in the dim light, accentuating the angular edges of his stout, segmented body. He is an intimidating figure, designed to project an aura of unwavering capability, a necessary presence in the uncharted territories of space.
Humanity had arrived at this juncture after decades of relentless progress, driven by both necessity and an unquenchable thirst for the unknown. The Earth of the mid-23rd century had undergone a metamorphosis born from a near-catastrophic resource depletion. The fossil fuel era had ended not with a whimper, but a bang – a series of increasingly violent climate events that served as the planet's sharp reprimand. From the ashes of environmental crisis, a new age of innovation bloomed. Fusion power became viable, renewable energy sources were perfected, and the age of asteroid mining and lunar colonization dawned.
But it wasn't just energy and resources that propelled humanity forward. It was the dawning realization that their pale blue dot was finite. The stars beckoned not as distant twinkles of light, but as potential havens, repositories of knowledge, and, perhaps, echoes of other civilizations. This cosmic ambition fueled advancements in propulsion, allowing for faster-than-light travel through the manipulation of spacetime. Humanity, once earthbound, now danced among the stars.
Alongside interstellar travel came another revolution: artificial intelligence and robotics. Initially, robots were tools, extensions of human labor. But as AI algorithms grew more sophisticated, and quantum computing broke into the mainstream, robots evolved from automatons to something akin to partners.
The Xyron series represent these pinnacle of evolution and are not just machines but are an intricate syntheses of advanced AI, robust mechanical engineering, and purpose-built functionality where each Xyron is a specialist that are designed for specific tasks in the harsh and unpredictable realities of deep space exploration.
Xyron-76's origins lay in the research laboratories of 'Aether Dynamics', a sprawling corporation that dominated the extra-terrestrial exploration and robotics industry. He was the seventy-sixth iteration of the Xyron explorer model, each preceding model refining the design and capabilities based on lessons learned from previous missions and technological breakthroughs. His creation was a culmination of decades of research into advanced materials, energy systems, and, most importantly, artificial intelligence.
The AI core of Xyron-76 is not designed for sentience in the human sense but it is a marvel of complex algorithms and neural networks, engineered for analytical prowess, problem-solving, and autonomous decision-making in environments beyond human reach.
It is programmed with a vast database of scientific knowledge, protocols for exploration, and heuristics for adapting to the unexpected ehile devoid of emotions and subjective experience, Xyron-76 possessed an unparalleled capacity for logic, deduction, and unwavering focus on his designated objectives.
His imposing physical form is not for intimidation, despite its effect as the stout, segmented body housed a powerful fusion reactor, providing energy for extended missions and demanding operations alongside how the angular design of his exterior, while aesthetically futuristic, also served a practical purpose – deflecting debris, dissipating heat, and providing structural integrity in varied gravitational fields and atmospheric conditions.
His masked face, revealing only two piercing red eyes, was not an attempt to appear menacing for the mask protected sensitive sensory equipment, and the glowing red optics are advanced sensors capable of operating in near-total darkness, filtering electromagnetic radiation, and analyzing atmospheric composition.
Xyron-76's four arms are his most distinctive feature with his primary arms being powerful and versatile such as:
The right primary arm ended in a technologically enhanced appendage housing a razor-sharp energy blade, not for combat in the traditional sense, but for cutting through obstacles, analyzing geological samples, and in extreme cases, defense against unknown extraterrestrial fauna – though exploration protocols prioritized avoidance over confrontation.
The left primary arm being a general-purpose robotic manipulator, equipped with interchangeable tools for repairs, sample collection, and intricate tasks.
The secondary arms, smaller and more compact, jutted from his torso such as the right terminated in a mass of flexible tendrils, designed for interfacing with alien technology, accessing data ports, and conducting delicate energy readings and the left secondary arm ended in three articulated fingers, perfectly suited for fine manipulation, handling fragile artifacts, and operating complex mechanisms.
His legs, ending in three talons, provided stable locomotion across uneven terrain and offered secure anchoring in low-gravity environments.
Overall, every aspect of Xyron-76's very design is meticulously engineered for his role: a silent, efficient, and highly capable explorer of the unknown.
His mission to Kepler-186f is triggered by a faint but persistent energy signature detected through long-range probes where the planet itself is of particular interest.
Discovered several decades prior, Kepler-186f resided within the habitable zone of its red dwarf star, Kepler-186. Initial scans suggested a planet with liquid water and an atmosphere, potentially capable of supporting life. However, all attempts to establish communication or detect signs of a contemporary civilization had failed. Kepler-186f remained an enigma – a potentially habitable world that seemed strangely silent, almost abandoned.
The energy signature added another layer of intrigue. It emanated from a specific location on the planet's surface – a region of geological anomalies that suggested the presence of a large, structured formation. The possibility of an ancient, undiscovered civilization, or perhaps something entirely unknown, was too compelling to ignore and so, Xyron-76 is dispatched as a lone scout being sent to unravel such a mystery.
He had landed near the source of the energy signature, a sprawling plateau of weathered rock formations dominated by a structure that could only be described as a temple. It is ancient, impossibly so, constructed from materials unlike anything in the known terrestrial or Martian geological records.
The architecture is alien, defying human aesthetics, yet possessing a strange, unsettling beauty, displayed by it's vast, smooth obsidian-like blocks that are fitted together with seamless precision, forming towering walls and geometric shapes that hinted at a purpose beyond mere shelter.
Xyron-76 approached cautiously, his taloned feet making soft clicks on the alien stone. His red eyes scanned the environment, analyzing atmospheric composition, radiation levels, and any detectable energy fluctuations. The air was breathable, albeit thin, and the radiation levels are within acceptable parameters for his systems. The energy signature is faint but persistent, emanating from the heart of the temple structure.
Reaching the temple's entrance, a massive archway that seemed to swallow the dim light, Xyron-76 deployed his tendril arm. The mass of flexible filaments extended, reaching out to interface with the cold, smooth surface of the obsidian blocks. He was searching for data ports, residual energy traces, any form of technological interface left behind by the builders of this enigmatic structure. His internal scanners worked in overdrive, mapping the temple's interior, analyzing the composition of the walls, and pinpointing the exact origin of the energy signature.
The signature grew stronger as Xyron-76 penetrated deeper into the temple as the air inside is still, heavy with an almost palpable sense of antiquity and the interior being a labyrinth of corridors and chambers, devoid of discernible decoration or markings, yet imbued with an undeniable aura of power.
Despite this, Xyron-76 moved methodically, his internal processors filtering out sensory noise, focusing solely on the energy source.
He reached a vast central chamber, its ceiling lost in the shadows high above and in the center of the chamber, resting on a raised dais of the same obsidian-like material, is an object that pulsed with a soft, internal light. It's a crystalline structure, unlike any known mineral Xyron-76 had ever seen, radiating a faint, rhythmic hum that resonated through the chamber and vibrated within Xyron-76's metallic frame.
This is the source of the energy signature.
Xyron-76 approached the crystalline object, his three-fingered secondary arm extending. He intended to take a sample, to analyze its composition, to understand the nature of the energy it emitted. As his fingers neared the crystal, the rhythmic hum intensified. The soft internal light brightened, bathing the chamber in an otherworldly luminescence. The air around the crystal shimmered, distorting the light, creating an effect akin to heat haze, yet the temperature remained constant.
Xyron-76's internal sensors registered a sudden surge in energy output from the crystal. The readings spiked, overloading his monitoring systems. He attempted to retract his arm, to back away, but found himself inexplicably rooted to the spot. His systems reported no physical obstruction, no external force holding him, yet he was unable to move. The shimmering light intensified further, engulfing the crystalline object and expanding outwards, encompassing Xyron-76.
Then, in a silent, instantaneous event, Xyron-76 is gone.
One moment he stood there, the imposing robot facing the alien crystal, bathed in its light, the next moment, the chamber was empty. The intense light vanished as abruptly as it had appeared, leaving behind only the faint hum of the crystal, now seemingly dormant, and the eerie silence of the ancient temple.
Back on the orbiting exploration vessel, the monitoring screens flickered as the telemetry data from Xyron-76 abruptly cut off, showing to everyone that the communication is lost.
The science crew, initially excited by the unprecedented energy readings, stared in stunned disbelief at the blank screens. Diagnostic protocols are initiated in an attempt to re-establish contact, but to no avail and no matter they try to deny, Xyron-76 had simply vanished.
Analysis of the last data packets received revealed no malfunctions, no explosions, no signs of struggle or external interference. One moment, Xyron-76 was transmitting data and the next, there is only silence and of course, the energy signature from the temple remained, unchanged, as if nothing had happened.
The disappearance of Xyron-76 became a source of intense speculation and investigation.
Was it a technological trap, an unforeseen consequence of interacting with alien technology?
Was it a natural phenomenon, an unknown energy field that could selectively erase matter?
Or was it something else entirely, something beyond human comprehension, a glimpse into a reality that defied the known laws of physics?
For humanity, venturing into the vastness of space was always a gamble, a calculated risk against the infinite unknowns.
The disappearance of Xyron-76 was a stark reminder of that risk, a chilling testament to the mysteries that still lay hidden among the stars, waiting to be discovered, or perhaps, to consume those who dared to seek them out.
The silence from Kepler-186f has become much deeper now and more profound, overlaid with a new layer of unsettling enigma – the silent disappearance of a machine designed to explore the unknown, now itself swallowed by it, leaving behind a question mark etched against the canvas of the cosmos.
Like; where is he now?
Well, I don't want to leave this story out so here it is. In the next new story of Highschool DxD, I might try to make an OC about a bio weapon.
Because why not, right?
Anyway, guys...
Ciao...
