Apollo
I'm currently sitting in the infirmary at the local police station, I'm having my wounds treated that haven't healed all the way. I planned to seal a lot of my power when I return to the R.I landship, as I waited I pulled out an empty notebook and a pencil.
#1
I likely should have made this earlier when I arrived in this world but better late than never. I'm looking after another child, a little girl named Marth. She is currently one of my students learning magecraft from me. I am not sure if she will surpass Shinji when it comes to learning it, but I sensed a similar feeling to her when we ate dinner a fair bit ago.
Her and Shinji appeared to be similar, both of them being kids that are coping and coming to terms with themselves. Shinji was someone who wanted to prove himself to everyone, to show that he isn't the failure of the Matou family. This struggle was something that was present in all versions of Shinji I met in various timelines. While Marth is an existence of being a Sarkaz who got infected in a world that hates both.
I hope that by leading Marth and placing her in situations that allow her to meet people from all walks of life like the culture at Rhodes Island, that she reaches a phase in her life where she accepts herself. I truly do not wish for Marth to walk down a dark path like the Shinji I grew up with went. I will record my experiences with her as I create more entries for that is my purpose.
I closed the journal and returned it back to my chest. I got off the bed and walked towards the door, the doctor told me while I'm not healed all the way my passive healing allowed me to heal enough that I can leave. On the other side I saw a woman and a white shield across the hall. I pulled out two suckers and threw one at them..
"Aren't you supposed to be with Silverash as a bodyguard?" I asked.
Aurora looked up at me then the sucker before putting it in her mouth. " and Lady Pallas agreed that I should be with you when you wake up, Courier and your partner, Shining I believe, are still on duty." She explained to me.
"Is there anyone else?' I asked.
"Other members from Rhodes Island are waiting in the main lobby, follow me." Aurora said.
Upon reaching the lobby I was greeted by a crab lady approaching me and kicking me lightly in the knee.
"Oh the pain, Akafuyu, why do you harm your defenseless supporter." I say as I slowly fall to the floor like a cheesy movie villain.
"Shut it." Akafuyu stated.
"Only if you can beat me in a fight." I replied.
Akafuyu didn't say anything but her eyes were basically screaming 'I will beat you one day.' I could only release a slight chuckle which only made Akafuyu's eyes scream louder.
"Either way Apollo I was told you will be off guard duty for the rest of the day due to your injuries, Leizi is taking over for you." Akafuyu said to me.
"I see, then in that case I'll be off. If you need me I'll be at the Hero's Tomb." I said as I walked out the building.
I soon found myself back at the Tomb of the Twelve Heroes, it was more crowded here than it was at night but the place was still silent, no one dared to talk at the burial site of the nation's heroes. I pulled out the medallion again and poured mana into it.
"Good to see you are in good shape. It seems like the bad feeling I got wasn't wrong if you suddenly cut the connection."
I looked up to see Cyana standing right in front of me in all her glory, but hearing her voice in my head.
"Good to see you too Cyana, do you have any idea who those guys were?" I asked.
"I don't know what happened to you, I didn't know what was happening after you cut off the connection. It's like I said, I'm not a god or deity to Minos. I'm more akin to a protector that was given a better sense of what was happening." she explained.
"So you know nothing, some protector you are." I said jokingly.
"If I could kick you I would for that comment." Cyana looked away from me and towards the tombs in the center of the room. "I didn't come because I have faith in the people who lead the nation. Plus you see me in this spirit like form so-"
"I'm guessing that it will take a lot of energy to give you a physical body, much less using your abilities" I said.
"You understand this pretty quick." She said.
"Talking with the dead like this isn't that new to me. Back where I'm from fighting them is commonplace in my line of work. Kinda throws the saying 'Dead man tells no tale' out the window." I said to her through my mind.
"Either way, what do you wish to talk about? I don't think you came to the tomb for no reason." Cyana asked me.
"I'm going to ask you to sense if anything else is going to happen." I asked.
"As of now, I don't sense anything but that doesn't mean my word is golden. After all those guys who attacked you all must have had some backing behind them." Cyana pointed out. "Sargon wouldn't surprise me." She said.
"Still think they are hateful towards losing against you guys 400 years ago?" I asked.
"I imagine that while most of the people living there don't care, the nobility are petty and don't lay down when things are done." She replied.
I looked at her with a shocked expression. "That was a lot more tame than I imagined. I was thinking you were going to go on a rant about Sargon, not that I would blame you for it." I said.
Cyana looked towards the graves. "Trust me when I say that I have deeper feelings of hate for them for all the nameless soldiers and innocents that died. I believe people who enjoy such things aren't worthy of life, nor to be considered human." She turned back towards me. "However times have changed and my era is over, I no longer have much say nowadays." Cyana's eyes showed a beautiful blend of anger, sadness and acceptance. "My job now is to protect what we all fight for, that is the role of a hero."
As I listened to the words of a great hero from this world I looked around to the many people who's gazes were fixed on the tombs. In many of them I saw hope, admiration, justice. I didn't bother to think before I answered.
"You are right Cyana, Those who enjoy the death of countless people, innocent or not, aren't deserving of the title 'human'. For they are the villains, the monsters, the tools meant to be discarded, defeated or destroyed by heroes that push the people forward." I closed the distance between the two of us, I barely raised my hand towards her. "Cyana you are truly an embodiment of a hero in my eyes." I said.
The Ark
I soon found myself outside the building where I met Pallas for guard duty. I finished talking with Cyana and decided to roam the streets, next thing I knew I found myself here. I was enjoying a sucker as I watched the various people come and go.
"Perfect, just the one I'm looking for."
I turned around towards the low yet confident voice to see the one and only Silverash, behind him were Aurora, Courier and another person. It was a man in business attire.
"It's nice to see you Aurora, Courier and Silverash." I said.
Before anyone could get a sound out the business man spoke up. "It's Mr. or Lord Silverash." he said.
And this is why I hate dealing with formalities, the small mistake with certain people and next thing you knew they hound you for being disrespectful and so on.
Silverash raised his hand causing the man to drop all sense of aggression. "It's no big matter, I was informed by Aurora that this man has done a great deal of things for my and everyone else's safety today. I will not support rudeness towards him."
The man, understanding he messed up, bowed his head. "My apologies Lord Silverash."
"It's no big issue, I'm just not used to or a fan of formalities so I tend to slip up with that stuff. I didn't mean anything negative." I said so no ill feelings spawn somewhere that will affect me later on.
"Apollo was it? Correct me if I'm wrong but you work with the pharmaceutical company Rhodes Island?" He asked.
"That's correct, is there anything you need?" I asked.
"I would simply like to ask you a question. What are your thoughts on progress even if it means destroying traditional beliefs?" Silverash asked.
I took a moment to think of a good way of phasing my answer. "It largely depends on which beliefs you are destroying. If it blind faith in said tradition, religious or not, is causing things to stagnate then you should destroy or at least bend them.."
Silverash didn't say anything for a moment but his eyes showed a clear spark in them although well hidden under his neutral gaze.
"An understandable answer. Let me thank you again for helping my subordinate and entertaining my question just now." he said.
"I have no issue. Would you like one, Aurora seemed to think they were enjoyable." I said as I pulled out a single sucker for him.
Silverash took the sucker, as he looked at it the business man spoke again.
"Lord Silverash, what if the candy is poisoned?" He said.
"That's a fair concern I will admit. If you don't want it, that's perfectly fine." I said to him.
Silverash looked at the man. "That is possible but I will admit I've taken a liking to Apollo as a first step in building trust. I will trust this piece of candy is not of ill intent, but a friendly gift." He said as he placed the candy in his mouth.
The man didn't say anything. Courier could be seen behind Silverash hanging his head slightly down as if he knew something like this was going to happen. A small smirk appeared on Silverash's face.
"Quite a delicious piece you have. However I must take my leave to finish some business with Lady Pallas. Pray that Kjergandr let us meet again." He said as he walked away.
Deciding that I stood around long enough here I head back to my room. I reached into my chest and pulled out the fan Nian gave to me. "Time to take a crack at this."
Overhead
As Silverash and co. sat in a room waiting for Pallas, Courier wanted to ask something.
"Sir Silverash correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Rhodes Island the place where Lady Ensia is receiving medical treatment?"
"You are correct. I knew the organization Apollo is working for are the ones treating her. I simply wanted to see who Apollo is as a person, he received great praise from Aurora." Silverash looked at the wrapper of the sucker he received. "His answer to my question interested me." Imagery gears could be seen turning in his eyes. Silverash didn't ignore the fact he knew. He gained a interesting in Apollo's views on this matter.
Back on the landship Kal'tsit was sitting at her desk as usual with another pile of paperwork that needed to be looked over. As she went through the pile two files stood out in particular mainly because she plans to write notes on them.

Medical Analysis
Apollo medical examinations or rather the journey for the medical department is very similar to Nian's own situation . To make a long story short, it failed multiple times although in a different way.
'Poker, Blackjack, Chess, Shogi, Fighting games. Anything that isn't physical intense he would barely win. It was as if the world would throw him a bad hand but still let him win. It caused Elysium to end in a similar feeling of annoyance, and determination like have Gavial currently is with Nian.
I wish both of them the best of luck.'
