"They were not kidding about using this much of the city." Rosa said, noticing crews setting up cameras around the city.
"Seriously, makes you wonder just how big of a project this finale will be." Ash said in surprise as they made their way to where they were set to meet Stu Deeoh.
"Ash, Rosie, Elliot, wonderful to see the three of you finally make it." Stu Deeoh said as the trio approached the trailers.
"It's, never mind, it's good to see you too Mr Deeoh." Rosa said.
"So are we all set to start filming?" Ash asked.
"Not quite, we have a bit more cleaning and setup to do for some of the fight scenes." Stu Deeoh said.
"I thought the climactic fight would go where they took it?" Elliot asked.
"Yes, the final battle will be, but the other matches will be in certain locations, leading to the start of the fight that will start in the Opelucid city gym." Stu Deeoh said, before taking a close look at Ash. "What happened, is this a new choice?"
"Uhh, can we talk somewhere in private?" Ash asked. "How about my trailer."
Inside of Ash's trailer
"Are you positive about what you are saying?" Stu Deeoh asked.
"I wish things weren't as bad as we make them out to be, but they are and if we could get this message out with the film then more people would know about the trouble that Team Plasma is causing." Ash said.
"I can't argue that, I will make sure to put in a PSA about it, I believe both Brycen and the local gym leader will be willing to help in the message." Stu Deeoh said. "Which reminds me, I would actually like you to take on the gym here so you can get a feel for the gym's layout for the filming."
"Don't have to ask me twice for that." Ash said with a smirk as a knock came at the door.
"We aren't expecting anyone else are we?" Rosa asked, before Pikachu hopped off the table he was on, running to the door.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu cheered, opening the door with his tail.
"Hello Pikachu, it's so good to see you're doing well." A woman said, lifting him as she walked in.
"Mom?!" Ash said in shock.
"Hi honey." Delia said with a smile.
"What, what are you doing here? Not that I'm complaining, but this isn't exactly a short trip from home." Ash said.
"Well Mr Deeoh invited me to see the filming of the movie." Delia said. "So Mimey and I made a special trip out to see it."
"That's incredible, and you'll get to see me in a gym battle while you're here too!" Ash said excitedly.
"And you two must be Rosa and Elliot." Delia said.
"You know about us?" Elliot asked.
"Of course, Ash talks about you both all of the time." Delia said. "Elliot one of the smartest people Ash has ever met, and Rosa from what I've heard you still keep Ash in line from doing anything dangerous."
"I try, it doesn't always work." Rosa admitted, looking at Ash's face.
"As for you Ashton." Delia said, now taking note of the two scars. "Did you win?"
"No mom, I, I lost bad." Ash admitted.
"Then what do you do?" Delia asked.
"Get back up and don't let them get away with it." Ash responded.
"Good, and Pikachu make sure when you do fight them again, get a good hit in for me." Delia said. "Now you said something about a gym battle?"
"Did she just gloss over the fact that Ash more or less got beaten up and left for dead?" Rosa asked.
"Well I see where Ash gets his personality from." Elliot commented.
Outside of the gym
"Alright next badge time." Ash said with confidence.
"You think you're good enough for the Opelucid City gym badge?" A boy asked, sauntering up. "If you're traveling with Elliot, I doubt your skills are that up to snuff."
"Elliot do you know him?" Rosa asked.
"It's the BB League champion, Drayton." Elliot said. "He has skill in battle, but as far as academics go, he rarely attends class."
"Well he should learn to not judge a book by it's cover, Ash, Pikachu, show him just how strong you are." Delia said.
"Gladly. I took on Crispin and you'll be no different." Ash said confidently.
"Crispin is little leagues in comparison to me, but I'll take your challenge, just a one on one battle to prove yourself." Drayton said.
"Alright then, Pikachu I choose you!" Ash said, as the electric type leapt from atop of Mikey.
"Archaludon let's go!" Drayton exclaimed.
"I, have never seen that Pokemon before." Ash admitted, hoping Elliot had some information.
"Don't bother, I evolved my ace since Elliot has been away from the school." Drayton said with confidence.
"Pikachu use Charge Beam!"
"Archaludon use Electro Shot!"
Pikachu fired a beam at Archaludon, static electricity building up on both of the Pokemon.
"Archaludon fire!"
"Pikachu dodge it with Quick Attack!"
Pikachu took off, dodging the electric attack being fired at him, easily outspending Archaludon's sweeping range.
"Pikachu use Iron Tail!"
"Archaludon use Snarl!"
Pikachu leapt into the air, bouncing off a light post as he swung his tail at Archaludon, crashing through the snarl before making contact, striking Archaludon atop its head.
"Archaludon use Draco Meteor!"
"Pikachu dodge it and use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu leapt back, bouncing from meteor to meteor before sending out a bolt of electricity down on Archaludon, sending sparks across the metallic Pokemon.
"Pikachu use another Charge Beam!"
"Archaludon use Flash Cannon!"
Pikachu fired a beam of electricity out, piercing through the flash cannon like a needle as he was fully engulfed in the attack while Archaludon only took some minor damage.
"Archaludon use Electro Shot!"
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu fired off a powered up bolt of electricity, striking through and zapping every point of Archaludon along the way as the steel type collapsed to the ground with a thud.
"Archaludon!" Drayton exclaimed.
"Hey it was still a good match." Ash said, offering his hand out.
"I was wrong about you not being good, but you'll still have a hard time beating my grandfather." Drayton said confidently.
"You're welcome to watch and be amazed." Ash offered.
"Sure, we'll call it amazing if you make it past his first Pokemon." Drayton retorted.
