Glad you liked the incompetent guards joke. Yes it's an overused trope, but I love the idea of a villainous organization being a well oiled machine everywhere EXCEPT the prison guards. Also the joke about Cherry and Josh was clearly the grunt complaining about his girlfriend leaving him for someone else. It meant little other than the fun gags of having them in the story.
"This is gonna hurt!" Ash shouted, as he and the three Pokemon fell into a snowbank, causing a crew nearby to become rather startled.
"What was that? A satélite coming out of orbit?" One asked.
"What else could it be, we should find out who's it is and report it in." Another said.
"Pbthhh." Ash said, digging back out of the snow bank. "I'm not a satélite."
"Ash?" Jeb asked, noticing his somewhat friend's head sticking out.
"Jeb! Hey, good to see you, sorry for dropping in, is this a bad time?" Ash asked.
"Come on let's get you out of there and into the cabin to warm up." Jeb said, pulling Ash out, with Deino still on his back, Lucario digging his way out shortly after.
"Wait, what about Golett?" Ash asked, looking around noticing the various other holes in the snow, and a few pieces scattered about. "Oh no, I rescued them only for this to happen."
"What do you mean, Golett do this all the time." Jeb said, as Golett began to reform.
"Wait, what?" Ash asked in confusion.
"They're artificial bodies, spirits inhabiting mechanical fixtures from long ago, their bodies can break apart and come back together with ease." Jeb said. "Now come on let's get you all inside."
Inside the research cabin
"So you're saying you fell from an AirShip, piloted by Team Plasma?" A researcher asked skeptically.
"I understand your skepticism, but I've seen Ash face off against the legends Tornadus and Thundurus, if he says he jumped off an Air Ship, I believe him." Jeb said. "So where are Rosa and Elliot, and Pikachu?"
"Safe, and back in Opelucid, same with my mom." Ash admitted. "Any idea how far we are from Opelucid City?" Ash asked.
"Well, you'd have to head out of the mountains east towards Icirrus City, from there you'd go across Tubeline Bridge, and then passing the Cloud 9 shopping mall, you'd make it to Opelucid City." Jeb recounted. "But going through here is dangerous, I told you that."
"I didn't really plan on dropping by." Ash pointed out.
"You don't get it, even getting out of here is risky, especially if you keep Golett and Deino out of their Pokeballs." Jeb said.
"And not Lucario?" Ash asked in confusion.
"How do you not know your own Pokémon's typing?" Jeb asked.
"I do, Lucario is a fighting and steel type." Ash pointed out.
"I meant the other two!" Jeb said in exasperation.
"Oh, right, yeah they aren't mine, I kind of did a jail break when escaping the air ship." Ash admitted.
"Of course you did." Jeb sighed. "Look even if you captured both of them, getting out of here is seriously no joke, one wrong step and you're falling through a snow drift, again."
"I have to try Jeb." Ash said in a serious tone.
"Umm, you two might want to get out here." A voice said from outside.
"What is it?" Jeb asked.
"It would be easier for you two to see." The voice responded.
"Well, might as well check it out." Ash said, sitting up with Lucario.
"Ash, are you sure you should be moving so soon right now?" Jeb asked.
"Won't get out of here just sitting around." Ash responded as Deino hopped on Golett, following the duo out of the cabin.
Outside Ash found a familiar stranger.
"You're Terrakion aren't you." Ash said, remembering them beside Cobalion and Virizion.
"Terr." Terrakion said, their voice booming.
"Are you here because of it?" Ash asked, not revealing he had the stone to everyone around.
"Akion." Terrakion responded.
"Are you here for it, or to get me and it somewhere safe?" Ash asked, as Lucario took an offensive stance ready for the first possibility.
"Rakion." Terrakion said, turning around, looking eastward.
"Ash, I'll be honest, every time I meet you, I get more and more confused, but are you sure you'll be alright?" Jeb asked.
"I understand your concern Jeb, but honestly if I don't do this, all of Unova is in danger." Ash admitted. "Golett and Deino, you two stay here where it's safe."
"Golett!" Golett denied, standing between Terrakion and the exit of the mountain range.
"Dei." Deino said in agreement, biting down on Ash's head.
"I think they're saying they don't want to leave you." Jeb admitted. "Seems only fitting considering how stubborn you are."
"Okay, but there's no way even Terrakion could carry all four of us." Ash admitted.
"Groff!" Lucario said, already leaping ahead.
"Well Terrakion, can you carry the three of us out of here?" Ash asked.
"Terra." Terrakion said in acknowledgement.
"Alright, come on you two, I guess I don't get more of a say in this for now." Ash said, helping Golett onto Terrakion's back before the fighting type leapt over the mountains with Lucario.
"Jeb, that is one strange friend you've got there." Another researcher said.
"Yeah, but I think for how strange he is, he's telling the truth and has an honest chance of beating the league." Jeb admitted, knowing just a bit of how much stronger Ash had gotten in very little time. "I just hope he's careful in what he's about to do."

Authors notes, Golett and Deino, these are the last two Pokemon Ash will be getting before the league, and these were mostly planned. Originally Deino was going to be Druddigon, with them and Golett flying Ash and Lucario out of the airship, but one commenter asked for Deino, and I was like, why not go with Deino, I don't have to make it a Hydreigon and it still gives him a dragon without copying a Pokemon from a rival directly. Not to worry, next chapter we'll see some of theirs and Lucario's new moves.
