Yes and no, the TR and genies plot is one of like three left, and it will take a back burner building up for a bit. However it will be a bit before its climax as well as another plot happening in the meantime.
"So where are you two off to now that you have this mirror?" Ash asked, as Burnet piloted the boat back to shore.
"From here I have a bit more research, but with the ruins above water it should be easier, and then I'll be heading to the Abundant Shrine, just a few miles off the coast of Driftveil City." Burnet explained.
"I'll also be heading to Driftveil to do some work and preparation." Cynthia said. "You were good in there Ash, quick thinking and actions helped us out greatly."
"Thanks Cynthia, I was happy to be a part of this." Ash said, as the boat docked.
"Ash, stay back for just a minute." Cynthia said.
"Go on ahead guys." Ash reassured, as Rosa, Elliot, and N left the boat. "If this is about N."
"Ash, I trust your judgement and if you say he's good, then I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but that's not what this is about."
"Pillar of light." Ash asked rhetorically.
"Partly yes, you've been around enough to know that something like that will attract attention, all the more reason to make your way to Driftveil City." Cynthia said.
"Yeah, we're headed in that direction, just a couple of stops in Opelucid and Icirrus." Ash listed.
"Okay, and of course there's more than just world ending threats, there will be a competition held there soon, and as a newly minted champion, I think you would enjoy the challengers that are coming to it from all over." Cynthia said.
"The PWT, right?" Ash asked. "I had a situation unfold where they were doing construction and saw enough of the signs to know it was an arena being built."
"Yes, the Pokemon World Tournament, I'll make sure to put your name on the list for the opening ceremony." Cynthia said.
"Thank you Cynthia." Ash said with a smile.
"Now go catch up to your friends, we'll be in touch I'm sure." Cynthia said.
"Cynthia, do you really think my research could be a beacon for trouble?" Burnet asked.
"Hard to say Burnet, but you know as well as I do that for every researcher wanting to better understand legendary and mythical Pokemon, there are three who want to use them for their own goals." Cynthia reminded.
"And those four have quite the repertoire of legendary and mythical Pokemon so chances are, we're already outmatched."
"My hope is that those legendaries will give us an edge if the time comes." Cynthia admitted, watching the four young trainers head off on their way.

Yes, incredibly short, I know this could have been tacked onto the end of the previous chapter, but I didn't want the whole reveal and then like oh look at where everyone is going. Originally this was going to have a second half to it with a side story at Village Bridge, but I tried three separate ideas and all of them just felt boring and forced, so yes a very short chapter for now if nothing but to get us moving again.
