Chapter 4

Hamster flashed into the creepy dark space, and Dragon stepped forward and grabbed her golden tail. Immediately, he felt a sense of weightlessness. The rest of his contingent formed a chain and grabbed onto him. He gave a nod to Hamster, and the magnificent phoenix took flight. Within moments, he was stepping into Myrtle's bathroom.

He unfurled the Map and murmured, "Hinny!" The way ahead was clear. Everybody was still in their beds. His orders were to move to the chamber beside the Great Hall and take position there.

He unlocked the door of the bathroom and stepped forward, jutting his chest out. The Great Harry Potter, the Savior of House Elves everywhere, had advocated him, the lowly Dobby, for Headmaster. He still couldn't believe his ears. Great Master Harry Potter was very great, and very kind. Dobby wouldn't let him down.

He checked the Map again, and continued on the way. All of a sudden, he heard an angry, "Incarcerous!" behind him, and a huge net came flying out of nowhere. It caught him and his contingent unawares. He couldn't believe his eyes!

A bushy haired woman came into view, and she started casting Stunning spells left and right. The last thought Dobby had before succumbing was, "Oh no! Bad Dobby!"

Deep down in the Chamber of Secrets, everyone was in an uproar. Lord Potter cast a Sonorus charm and bellowed, "Ladies and gentlewizards! Do not panic! I'll myself go up there and take care of the situation."

He glanced at his map and gave a jump. There was no sign of Hermione Granger and the Dragon contingent!

He called Hamster and had her fly him to Myrtle's bathroom. Cautiously, he stepped forward and prodded his wand at the air. Two temporal discharges lighted up, along with a flurry of Incarcerous and Stunning spells. Oh, the crafty witch! He had to proceed carefully from now on.

Casting an obsure tracking charm on the lighter temporal discharge, he immediately noticed a beam moving towards Hogsmeade. He pocketed his wand and grabbed onto Hamster. She took him back to the Chamber of Secrets, and then flashed him to a dark alley behind Hogsmeade. Following the beam of the tracking charm, he stopped in front of a prim and proper two storeyed house, warded to the gills and trapped like a tomb. Within it sat Hermione Granger, a half-Kneazle dozing at her feet, and a monstrous book open on her desk. On the second floor, a second Hermione Granger was cooking breakfast, and a still hot Time Turner lay sizzling beside her.

For a moment, he considered his options.
