Gender-bender AU- When you learn about conflict, whether it be something as large as full-scale war or something as small as two kids fighting over a play-toy, you always hear about what was won. Never talked about, though, is what was lost. Where what we lost is invisible to our meager reward. What I lost left me with the burden of my entire's country's fate and of my kin's blood.

Riza and Roy are invited to a baby shower celebrating Winry and Ed's first child. Riza helps Winry bake cookies and their conversation leads to a discussion about marriage and families.

Roy Mustang is currently investigating homunculus activity with a thief on the run. He ends up finding a boy who is hard headed and brave, Roy never intended to develop feelings for the orphan. Bad summary is bad.

Edward hated Roy for always badgering him and treating him like a child, knowing full well that he could take care of himself and his brother like an adult. But sometimes just because you can be an adult in some things, doesn't mean you can in others. Making a rash decision like a child at the wrong time could have horrible consequences... and could lead to more rash decisions.

Post-series. Riza Hawkeye was acting weird, and the colonel was determined to uncover the truth.

A little one-shot fic I had written for a competition. The prompts used are posted in my profile if you are interested. The story is about Riza finding out about Pride and how she deals with it.

Now, 11 years later in an all or nothing attempt at revenge, she joins the military as the Lightcaller Alchemist, working as the subordinate to Edward Elric. When she's forced to confront her past by the least likely of sources, she finds that revenge might not be the best thing after all.
