Inside the defunct auto factory that passed for the Autobot base, the Autobots were sitting on one side of the main room while the three enormous dinobots sat on the other side. The dinobots were in their robot forms, which Grimlock tried to use to his advantage. Since he figured he was biggest, he would sit close to Lancex and shoot angry glares, daring anyone to try and take Lancex away from the mechanical T-Rex.
"So, does… anyone have any questions for me?" Lancex asked, not exactly sure what the dinobot was doing, but wanting to explain things if they needed it.
Optimus didn't like the scene he was watching, but he had more pressing matters at the moment. "I have a question- what is up with your sword? I mean, I saw you fight Megatron and then you sword turned back into a katana sword. I have never seen a sword be able to shift like yours does."
Lancex sighed, as he hadn't wanted to reveal that secret, but he also realized that as the de facto leader of this group, Optimus would want to understand the capabilities of those under his leadership. Slowly and carefully, Lancex removed his katana sword from its sheath. "This sword is my spirit sword name Ryu" Lancex explained, though it meant little to nothing to the others. They were respectful though, as they knew weapons could hide what real power they had.
"You make it sound like your sword is alive" Bumblebee responded, a bit doubtful of what he was hearing.
"Well, that is because it is alive" Lancex replied.
"How is that even possible? That can't happen!" Ratchet questioned, really not believing all of this, as this was unheard of in this realm.
"It is possible, and I speak the truth. You may not believe me, I don't care, but I do asked you respect the sword whether you believe me or not" Lancex replied, not liking how the medic responded to all of this.
"So, if it is alive, as you say, what abilities does it possess?" Ratchet asked while the others were all shocked to hear what Lancex had said.
"Well…Ryu is the ultimate fire spirit, he can turn all the water on earth and in its atmosphere on fire if he wanted to" Lancex explained. The others nodded but were still confused, but Ratchet had a thought about something.
Ratchet was about to ask his question when Bulkhead butted in to make a comment, "so, if your sword has all that power, how come you haven't helped us in our fight against the cons?"
"If I am not careful and wield the sword in a disrespectful manner, I could reduce this city to ashes" Lancex explained. The others were stunned but nodded, well except for Ratchet, he had one further question to ask, and Lancex sensed he wasn't going to like this question either.
"I got one more question" Ratchet finally piped up. "I checked our database. I could locate no such bot ask you as either an Autobot, Decepticon or neutral. Why wasn't I able to locate you in our files?"
Lancex let out a heavy sigh, "truthfully… I am not from this dimension. I am from…elsewhere" Lancex answered, hoping they would accept this, but he knew they may not. All he could do now was wait for the others to react to his revelation.
