HOMER POV

"One beer please." I ask the bartender at the gay bar.

"Same here." A voice said. A familiar voice.

I turn my head to see Ray Magini. Ray the roofer.

"Ray?" I ask.

"Hey, Homer." He says.

"It's been forever. How are you?" I ask. I don't hear what he says, I can't stop staring at his face, his beautiful face.

I lean in closer to him until my lips are on his. He kisses me back.

I can't believe this is happening! We sit at the bar and drink our beers, catching up. I told him about my separation with Marge. He told me how he opened his own roofing business. I ask for his number. He gives it to me. Looking at him, I had hope that I could be happy. He stands up. He extends his hand out to me. I'm confused.

"Do you wanna dance, Homer?" He asks. I nod excitedly. I stand up, taking his hand.

We dance to the music.

MARGE POV

I call Homer. Ring, ring, ring. No answer.

I try calling the home phone in his apartment. Someone answers.

"Hello. Is Homer there? This is Marge."

"Oh, hey, Marge. Homer isn't here, I can tell him you called though." Julio answers.

"Is it possible that I can come over and wait for him, this is kind of urgent."

"Of course, Marge." Julio says and gives me the address.

HOMER POV

Ray and I drink a few beers. He pulls me into a corner. He holds me close. I put my lips on his. When we are out of breath, we pull apart. "Wanna go back to my place?" I ask him. He agrees.

We reach my apartment, he kisses part of my lips while I unlock the door. I push him against the door and kiss him. I open the door and we go inside.

"MARGE!?" I asked, shocked. Ray and I immediately pull apart and are beet red.

Marge also blushes a bit upon witnessing them.

"Homer, I'm sorry. I just needed to talk to you. And I couldn't wait." She says.

"I better be going, bye, Homer." Ray whispered to me. I nodded and greeted him goodbye.

"Sorry about that, Marge." I said, "What did you want to talk about?"

"Homer, I'm sorry. I should have accepted you immediately. I was selfish, thinking about myself. When it's you that was important in that moment. You were brave enough to come out to me and I was wrong. I hope you can forgive me."

"Of course, Marge, thank you." I put my hand on her arm.

"So, who was that?" Marge asked.

I blush, "You don't want to hear about that." I chuckle nervously.

"I do. Come on."

I sigh in defeat. "Ray. Y'know the roofer?"

"So you gonna see him again?" She asks.

"Probably not. It was just casual." I say, rubbing the back of my neck.

"How are the kids?" I ask.

"I hardly see them. They're so distant. I don't even know what's happening in their lives."

"Make a point of asking them questions and trying to connect." I suggest.

"When'd you become father of the year?" Marge jokes.

I'm so happy she can be honest and not in denial about me being a good father/husband.

We talk a bit more then Marge leaves.

MARGE POV

"Bart, Lisa!" I called down.

"Yeah?" Bart asked from the stairs.

'Come down here."

"Lise, mom's calling us." He called to her room.

They sit down at the table in front of me.

"Lisa, Bart, if there is anything you ever want to tell me, you are always welcome to. No matter what it is. No judgement from me, unless it's like a like illegal thing or you know what I mean. I love you, kids, and nothing will change that."

"Thanks, mom." Bart said. "Since you say that, I need to tell you something. I'm gay."

"Oh, sweetie. I'm so proud of you." I hug him.

"And mom, I'm pansexual." Lisa said.

"That's great, honey." I say and hug her. I make a mental note of searching what that means later.

A/N: hope you enjoyed. Hope there are no spelling mistakes, I wrote it without my glasses lol.
