Henry's Choice
Henry goes to the loft to get something he needed for a school project he was working on while he was staying at his other mother's house that weekend.
When he overhears Snow's plans for his mothers, he make a decision that would change both of his mother's lives forever.
Henry had just walked into the loft as he needed to get something for a school project he was working on.
He couldn't wait to see his mom again as she was going to spend time with him that weekend starting tonight even though it was only Thursday.
He could hear voices coming from the kitchen.
As he approached the kitchen, he could clearly hear his grandparents arguing about both of his mothers.
"You can't assume Regina is trying to turn Emma against us Snow, she's changed for Henry you know that!"
"I really don't think Regina's changed, it's all an act.
Ever since she started training Emma in magic, I noticed that Emma has been acting strangely.
And when Emma does something magical, the look she gets is similar to when she was the Evil Queen.
And that smile she has is unsettling.
Like she was proud of Emma when she was doing magic.
David,I…I think Regina is teaching Emma dark magic.
Emma is becoming too powerful under Regina's guidance.
I think we may have lost Emma to Regina.
We need to get Emma to the Blue Fairy and undo whatever Regina has done to her.
"Snow you don't know that!"
Regina has done nothing but good and you're assuming that she has Emma under her control and that she's planning to turn her against us!"
"She is David, and I have already taken steps to stop Regina.
Henry could hear dread in David's voice.
"Snow…you didn't…"
"I did and Emma should be out by now and two of the dwarfs should be getting Emma out of the station and taking her to Blue as we speak.
As for Regina, once Emma has returns to her old self, she will be dealt with and we will take control of Storybrooke for the better.
And if Emma can't be reasoned with, she will meet with the same fate as Regina.
Henry Couldn't believe what he was hearing. He quickly left to warn his mom and hopefully get to Emma first.
When he got to City Hall, he was out of breath but ran past his mother's assistant who yelled at him to stop.
He opened the door to his mother's office where a meeting was taking place.
"Mom!" But stopped short when he saw that she was in a meeting. Upon hearing Henry's voice, she quickly looked past the man looking at her son who looked out of breath. She knew her son wouldn't just barge in without a good reason.
"Henry? What's wrong?"
"Mom! (gasps)It's Ma,(gasps)she's in danger!"
Regina looked at the man she was in a meeting with and spoke with authority.
"The answer is still no George, I trust you know your way out."
Then used her magic to teleport both herself and Henry in a cloud of purple smoke and reappeared in front of the Sheriff's station seconds later.
Hidden away near entrance of the station, they both could hear two men arguing.
"Sleepy, come on lift her legs up while I get her upper part of her body."
"Why do I have to do this? I'm too tired to lift her up Doc, get someone else to do it!"
Then both Henry and Regina could hear snoring coming from Sleepy.
They could hear Doc yelling at Sleepy to wake up.
Regina and Henry looked at each other realizing that the two dwarfs would be in there for a while.
Henry was so angry that he balled both his hands into fists.
Regina noticed this and could understand how he felt.
She needed to know what was going on.
"What's going on? Tell me everything Henry."
He quickly explained to his mom what he overheard Snow tell David.
To say she was lived was an understatement.
But she had to think clearly for Henry's sake.
What she hadn't expected was Henry's
question.
"Mom?"
"Yes, Henry?"
"If you were still the Evil Queen, and everything that Snow said were true,
That you were turning Ma dark, how would you have handled this?
And mom, please answer honestly."
To be honest, Regina was just thinking about what she would do as this was a golden opportunity she was seeing here.
"Well Henry, if I was still evil, I would have seen this as a golden opportunity to take one or both of the dwarf's hearts.
They would have no choice but to obey my every command. They would become my slaves.
And yes Henry, I do miss being evil.
And the freedom that comes with it.
Regina watched silently hoping she wouldn't lose her son after admitting how she missed being evil.
She saw Henry nod his head as if he was deciding something.
Looking at his mom, he smiled at her reassuring her that she wasn't going to lose him.
Taking his mother's hands into his own and looking her in the eyes.
"You once tried to show me your ways.
That you could teach me to be more like you, that I can have everything I have ever wanted.
I wasn't ready then.
But after what I just heard from my so-called grandparents, I'm ready now to be your little dark prince.
Starting with those two, teach me."
Regina was surprised to hear her son say this and couldn't help but ask.
"Are you sure this is what you want Henry?
Once I do this there's no going back and I don't want to lose you."
Henry's smile what's so devious that it made her evil half proud.
"Once we do this, and I really don't care. Only that you Ma or safe.
And you won't lose me because this time I'm siding with you.
Regina smiled evilly her son was with her and
that he wanted her to teach him everything she knew. And once Emma joined her and Henry, she will make plans to make everyone in Story Brooke who follows Snow White suffer.
"Oh Henry, you have no idea just how happy you made me."
Now Henry, watch and learn."
She winked at her son then walked out of her hiding space which was behind the exit door of the sheriff's station.
She walked confidently into the sheriff's station to deal with Snow White's two idiots.
Now in the Sheriff's Office Regina looked at Doc and Sleepy with disgust who has yet to notice her.
Then yelled at the two men in front of her.
"What do you two think you are doing?
And why is Miss Swan lying on the floor unconscious?"
Sleepy and Doc jumped at as they heard Regina's voice.
Doc turned to Regina nervously realizing that they were just caught trying to kidnap Emma.
W…w…well you see M…M…Madom Mayor we were just ch…checking on Emma and W…We found her this way.
Sleepy and I were t…trying to get her to the H…hospital before you cau….found us arguing…
Regina got tired of the excuse she was hearing from Doc and had enough.
"Enough'!
Sleepy and Doc Jumped at her yell, but rolled her eyes as she watched Sleepy fall asleep seconds later leaving Doc to fend for himself.
An evil grin appeared on her face as she stepped forward and readying her hand to take Doc's heart.
This was the perfect opportunity.
Doc stepped back as he sensed he was in danger.
"Regina what are you…"But was cut off as she plunged her hand into his chest quickly taking her heart.
"Now you belong to me."
She smirked, relishing the feeling of taking a heart once more.
Watching as Doc had true fear in his eyes and it excited her.
"Regina, y…you don't want to do this again.
Think of Henry…"
Doc suddenly heard Regina laugh in a way that sent chills down his spine.
"Trust me, I don't have anything to worry about with Henry.
Now tell me the real reason you two were trying to take Emma's unconscious body, why was she unconscious to begin with?"
Now under the queen's control, Doc had no choice but to tell her the truth.
"It was Snow she drugged Emma's food.
We were told to wait until she was asleep to bring her to the Blue Fairy where she would undo whatever spell you put Emma under.
We had no idea what she was going to do after.
Just that she was going to stop whatever you had planned.
Regina's face darkened as she heard this.
"I see, as of now you work for me.
You are not to tell Snow White of our encounter or warn her in any way.
You are going to report everything that has something to do with me, Henry, and Emma. Snow White has betrayed us and now you, and everyone who follows her will suffer the consequences.
And as of now…" Regina turns slightly towards the exit where Henry was watching. raising her hand towards him gesturing for him to come to her.
Henry walked up to his mother and Regina's arm wrapped around his shoulder hugging him from her side but he didn't say anything to Doc as his eyes went wide seeing that Henry was siding with Regina.
"Thanks to Snow White, Henry is now siding with me. And soon, Emma will also be by my side."
She kneeled in front of Sleepy and waved her hand over his head to wipe his mind of his brief encounter with Regina in the Sheriff's Office.
"If Snow asks why you don't have Emma, tell her that she and I took Henry to Granny's for dinner.
Now take this useless idiot and go!"
They both watched as Doc woke up Sleepy and ran out of the station as fast as he could pulling Sleepy as he did.
Now that they were gone, Regina kneeled over Emma and hovered her hands over her body to check and see what was put into her food and make sure it was nothing magical affecting Emma in any way.
Thankfully it was just a small dose of sleeping pills.
Henry stood behind Regina as he watched her work her magic.
"Mom, is Ma okay?"
Regina could hear the worry in her son's voice.
She stood up and looked at Henry with a reassuring smile on her face.
"Yes Henry, Emma will be just fine.
Snow only drugged her with sleeping pills.
Let's get Emma to the mansion and allow her to wake up on her own.
Once Emma wakes up, we will explain to her of Snows betrayal.
Then go to Granny's for dinner that way if Snow ask Ruby or Granny, they can't say we weren't there."
Thanks to Regina's magic, it didn't take long for Emma to wake up confused by her surroundings.
She could have sworn that she was at the station.
Sitting up in the bed, looking at her surroundings when she turned towards the door where she heard it open to see her son standing there with a concerned look on his face.
Walking into the Henry sat in a chair next to the bed Emma was currently sitting in.
"How are you feeling Ma?"
"Honestly Henry, I feel a bit confused.
Snow came into the station and brought me a late lunch.
We talked for a bit then she had to go because she had errands to run before David got home.
After I ate my lunch, after about thirty minutes I started to feel sleepy.
I don't know what happened after that.
Then woke up here. Umm…how did I get here anyway?
"I brought you here." With magic of course.
Emma looked up to see Regina standing in the doorway.
Regina stepped into the room as she continued speaking.
Although, things are about to change after I tell you everything that Henry and I found out.
And believe me you're not going to like it."
Henry knew it was best to let his mom tell Emma what happened, so he got up out of the chair he was sitting in and kissed both his mother's cheeks.
"I'll let mom tell you everything that happened.
Just know I have already made my choice."
Then walked out of the room into the hallway and into his room.
Emma looked at Regina confused at what was going on.
"Regina, what's going on?"
Regina's face turns dark as she began to explain to Emma what happened.
"Well basically, your parents betrayed us all because of Snow White.
She feared that I'm turning you dark just because I'm teaching you magic.
Henry overheard Snow tell David her plans that concerns me and you.
Regina explained everything to Emma of the events that occurred earlier that day.
Emma didn't know what to think she just sat in the bed Trying to comprehend of what was just told to her.
"Emma, before Henry left this room he told you that he had made his choice. Do you know what he's chosen?"
Emma whispered, "No." Realizing what it was.
"Yes, Henry has chosen evil."
Regina grinned as she said this.
Taking Emma's hands into her own.
"Now you need to choose, and I'll give you something to think about.
Regina leaned forward and kissed Emma passionately.
When they broke apart Emma Was in a daze.
"Choose me and Henry, Emma you and I can have a lot of fun together."
Regina's fingertips trailed down Emma's face down the her neck then traveled lower to her chest and stopped just where her breast were, indicating what she had in mind.
"Now that's enough for now, we need to make an appearance at Granny's so that Snow White won't think that anything is wrong.
We will talk more later."
"Yes, later"… touching her lips in the dazes.
Regina smiled knowingly as she walked out of the room.
"Come on Miss Swan we really need to go,
our son is hungry.
"Coming!" Then quickly got out of bed to do as told.
When she got to the stairs, she couldn't help but smile at Regina who was standing next to Henry waiting on her. "I'm ready let's go"
both Regina and Henry smiled at Emma but didn't say anything. The ride to Granny"s was quiet as everyone thought about what was to come.
Once at the diner, they quickly got out of Regina's
car and went into the diner and sat in a corner booth.
Once they ordered their food, they talked about their day and laughed about random things going on around town and in school. An hour later, Regina paid for their food then left the counter only to see Snow White talking to Emma and Harry both looking annoyed with her.
Regina walked back towards the table and stood behind snow who was unaware that Regina was standing behind her.
Listening to what snow was saying only made her blood boil.
"I talked to Blue, and she says she can help teach you magic.
You don't need Regina to teach you magic anymore."
"And just what can she teach me with a piece of stick? She knows nothing of my kind of magic mom, Regina does.
Now if you don't mind, I'm spending time with Regina and my son please leave.
"But Emma…"
"I do believe that Emma asked you to leave."
Startled by Regina's voice coming from behind her, Snow turned around to see Regina with her arms folded over her chest with a look she hadn't seen in years.
It was as if she was still the evil queen looking at her with pure hatred.
"I won't ask again Snow White."
Snow quickly left without another word knowing Regina meant business.
Her only thoughts were that she was going to save Emma one way or another.
Emma watched her mother leave Granny's, realizing how Snow was trying to keep her away from Regina. And by extension Henry away from his mother.
That's never going to happen ever again. Knowing what to do next she looked to her son who was her world.
"Hey kid, let's get you and your mom home. There's something she and I need to talk about while you watch TV."
Henry nodded his head and walked out of the diner with both his mother's following behind him. It didn't take them long to get to Regina's and to get Harry settled to watch TV.
Now in Regina study. Regina was sitting in her chair behind her desk watching Emma pacing back and forth in the room. Finally tired of watching Emma pacing, she spoke calmly but with authority.
"Miss Swan, sit down now!"
Immediately Emma sat down as told, making Regina smirk.
"Sorry." Blushing with embarrassment.
"It's Find Emma, care to tell me why you were pacing back and forth like a caged animal?"
"Regina, I have never told anyone this before.
For as long as I can remember, I have always felt like something inside me was missing. But a few hours ago, when you kissed me, I can't explain it but for the first time ever I felt… I felt whole, and I think that somehow some of your darkness entered my body.
But now that feeling is gone, and this time that feeling is even worse now that I know what is missing."
Looking down into her lap she continued.
"I probably sound crazy."
Looking up at Regina, whose face was unreadable.
After hearing what Emma had said, Regina only knew of one spell to get rid of the darkness from a person.
And the price was high as they needed a vessel to put the darkness in.
She really hoped it wasn't that spell.
But if it was, then everyone is damn lucky that Emma hasn't gone crazy, you have to have both as light and darkness balances each other out.
To take away one's darkness meant to take away their freedom of choice.
Not even Rumpelstiltskin would touch that kind of magic and that's saying something as he was the dark one himself.
"Emma, do you mind if I check something using magic to scan your body? I might know why you feel this way, but I want to make sure if it's what I think it is." Trusting Regina completely.
"Do what you must, I trust you, Regina."
"Thank you, Emma. Now lay down on my sofa and relax."
Not in her head, Emma laid down and relaxed and closed her eyes.
Moments later, she felt Regina's magic and sighed at the feeling of completeness once more.
Regina ignored the sigh and concentrated on her task.
A moment later Regina found what she was looking for, then anger coursed through her before she found something interesting.
It wasn't much, but she could tell that it was there all of Emma's life which would explain how Emma never went crazy as a child.
Somehow Emma absorbed some of her own darkness just enough to keep her sane.
It would explain why Emma felt whole when she kissed her earlier and that their magic is stronger when they work together.
In some ways, they were soul mates.
Yes, so mate looks like fairy dust was wrong.
Emma whispered" I choose you, Regina."
"What's that dear?" Not sure what she heard.
Speaking a little louder, Emma repeated herself.
"I said I choose you, Regina.
You and our son or all I care about.
Whatever you do next I will side with you no matter what you decide to do my queen.
I never wanted to be the savior anyway."
Regina smiled at hearing her title coming from Emma's lips.
"I'm glad you feel that way Emma, because it's going to make it easier to tell you what I found.
I believe your parents did something to you that should never have happened.
How they did it and who helped them I don't know.
Then explained to Emma about the spell and the price that was made in the process. When Emma was told about the vessel in another innocent child, she was livid.
Emma got off the couch intending to pace again unaware that her magic was beginning to get out of control.
Regina stopped her in her tracks by kissing her passionately putting at stop to accidentally destroying her study with her magic.
Feeling Emma calm down and her magic, as well, Regina pulled away and put her forehead on Emma's.
"What was that for?"
"Be mindful of your feelings Emma, your magic could have destroyed my study. Emotion is everything and with your magic untrained…"
"I could have hurt you and Henry."
Realizing what could have happened.
Emma's eyes wide before speaking.
" Oh my God Regina! I'm so sorry!
I thought our magic lessons were to prevent this sort of thing from happening…"
"It is Emma, but you were angry just now, and still have a lot to learn including how to control your magic even when you're angry.
It will take time, but I promise you… you will do fine.
Regina glanced at the clock and noticed the time.
It was time for Henry to go to bed.
Looking back at Emma and smiled.
Now… Let's go put our son to bed and then we can talk some more after he's asleep.
Emma nodded her head in agreement with putting Henry to bed with Regina by her side.
When they went into the living room, they saw Henry sound asleep with the TV on.
Regina smiled at the sight before her and walked up over Harry's body and moved his body to lay on the couch with magic so he could be more comfortable while sleeping and then put a cover over him so he can be warm and then kiss his forehead.
"Sleep well my Prince."
Emma, watching this scene unfold before her smiled at just how good of a mother Regina really was to their son.
When Regina joined Emma near the stairs she could see a smile on Emma's face.
"You really are a good mother to Henry Regina.
I'm glad it was you who adopted him."
"Me too, if I hadn't adopted him, I'd be lonely, and the curse would have never been broken. And I wouldn't have you at my side.
A grin appeared on Regina's face, and besides, the look on your parents face will be so satisfying when they realize that you are by my side and not them.
And it's all Snow White's fault.
To watch them realize, you and Henry on mine.
The question is when the time comes, how far will you go for me?
Now that we're alone, let's have some fun."
Before Emma could say anything, Regina kissed her hard indicating what she meant by fun.
The darkness inside Emma grew and Emma didn't want it to stop. And she knew where her loyalties lie. She was Regina's mind, body, and soul.
Hope you all enjoyed this story, and should I continue it or not?
But for now, this a one-shot story.
