Why hello there. It's sure been a while, like over 7 months give or take? And I wanna say I've been busy but I really haven't. I've been writing bits but I've never really gotten anything done. Thankfully between that timeframe two new seasons of one of my favorite shows have finished airing and have given me a reason to start writing again. So thanks for that Total Drama! I absolutely loved both of the seasons and it's given me that writing itch to try my own Total Drama story.
Fair warning, there are OC's in this, which is something I hate doing when writing about cartoons with already existing characters since they seem like shameless self inserts. But I promise they're here to help develop other characters and who knows? Maybe people will actually enjoy them. I have doubts that this story will grow any legs but anything's worth a shot, right? These characters may be written a little differently and that may be off putting for some people but I'm hoping this'll stick the landing.
So happy reading!

EPISODE 1: REBOOT TO THE FACE
A familiar looking host standing on a familiar looking dock came in to view. "Yo, we're coming to you live from Camp Wawanakwa. Somewhere in Muskoka Ontario!" He begins. "Deja Vu kicking in yet? Man, it feels good to say that again after so long". He clears his throat before getting back on track.
"It's been 15 years since our show first aired, but now we're back. Back to the rundown cabins" Chris states as right on queue, one of the cabins collapses on itself.
"Hungry bears, hungrier bugs". A bear was shown tangled up in a spider's web with a few of the giant bugs closing in on it.
"And the more fun parts of this camp. The stinky confessional outhouse where contestants air their dirty laundry". The confessional opened with a newspaper reading bug who closed the door on the host who shrugged, viewing this as seemingly normal for the camp.
"And last but not least, Chef's disgusting food". A few of Chefs noticable delicacies made it on camera, including jellyfish pizza, toenail and snail slime soup, and a pot of animal remains.
Chris was then seen walking across the Island, approaching the familiar looking case. "Today's 18 new contestants arrive and battle to be the last one standing over this 30 day rough and tough season and win one million dollars" The stacks of green backs came raining from the sky and piled up around the host. "Someone's gonna pick this up right?" He says, turning off to the side.
The host then not so subtly stuffs a stack in to his pockets before continuing. "But winning won't be easy" He said with a smirk. "This isn't just a reboot, it's a reboot to the face! Not only will they have to survive these deadly challenges, but also the cruel twists that put the Drama in Total Drama!".
"As always, I'm your host, Chris McLean. And welcome to the Season Premiere of Total! Drama! Island!" He said with an echo as the scene zoomed out, displaying Camp Wawanakwa in it's disturbing entirety.
DOCK OF SHAME DAY #1.
Chris was standing by the dock, seemingly awaiting the contestants arrival "Welcome back! Now let's meet the victims!" He lets out a laugh before correcting himself "I mean campers"
"First up, Millie!" He says. The camera then pans to an intern driving a speedboat towards the dock, on board was Millie, the first camper.
Millie was shown in the library of her college looking through the books.
"I'm studying in one of the Top 10 college buildings in all of Canada!" She says with a gleeful smile "My dream is to one day be a successful journalist!"
"In my parents generation, to achieve fame, you had to write a novel, win a gemmy, or cure polio." She continues with images of each example being displayed. She was then sitting down at her desk with her phone. "But my generation? They can get famous livestreaming themselves eating hot peppers and vomitting while they cry."
She pulled up a video of a guy crying in to a bucket, face pink and eyes watering. "And all they need is a ringlight and a WiFi connection." She adds with a chuckle.
She exited the building and pulled out an empty notebook. "So for my first novel, I want to research the epic fails of my generation so I can get an A on my assignment." She displays her empty notebook with the title on the top being called "Generation Devolved". "And I thought what better place than Total Drama Island to research and write my paper."
"Welcome Millie, just over here is fine." The host said with a polite tone.
Millie nodded and walked along to the other end of the dock with her suitcase.
"Next up, Axel!" Axel was on the front of the speedboat, looking through a pair of binoculars with an intense glare on her face.
Axel was jogging through the town, likely somewhere near her home area.
"I'm a Survivalist with a primitive score of 9.7." Axel began, pointing at her average score displayed on the top right. "3 years of boot camp and gym class and I'm ready for anything."
She was then shown boxing and breaking cutouts of what looked like zombies. "People are taught to be self defensive, I'm self offensive. Boxing, Karate, Zombie Apololypse, you name it."
After her workout, Axel proceeded to her weapon stash in her room "I'm not scared, but the other campers should be."
Axel chucked her duffle bag where all her weapons popped out, creeping out the host slightly.
"Wow, you came prepared for... everything?" Chris asked. She then stepped off the boat, wielding a pair of nunchucks.
"Everything" Axel simply responded with.
"Over there please" Chris ordered.
Axel repacked her bag before proceeding next to Millie, also looking slightly disturbed.
"Next up, Priya!"
Priya was excitedly waving her hand, seeming barely able to contain herself.
"My parents are huge Total Drama fans!" Priya started as she looked through one of her many trophies like a mirror. "They've been training me my entire life, just in case there was a reboot."
Her parents in question were shown through out, training her through numerous obstacles such as bungie jumping and the monkey bars. "Starting with my first bungie jump when I was 6 months old!"
"There's nothing I'm not ready for. Scary challenges?" She was then rock climbing with someone dressed in a bear suit chasing her, managing to outclimb it and reach the top "Done them all."
"Other players?" Next was her defending herself against her father dressed like Owen from the first season. They were on logs, fighting with batons with her coming out victorious. "They'll all be toast."
She was then packing her things and doing her stretches. "I'm gonna go all the way for them!"
"Welcome, you'll be with Axel and Millie." Chris said as Priya excitedly shook his hand. She nodded and walked past.
"Next up, all around fun dude, Zee!"
Zee was relaxing at the back of the boat, using his suitcase as a rest.
Zee's mini fridge opened with him seemingly there to grab a drink.
"Sup? I'm Hezekias, but my peeps just call me Zee. Something to do with the alphabet." He says with a shrug.
He grabs a can of orange soda and cracks it open "Breakfast soda" he points out before taking a sip before proceeding back to bed.
"I might not be the strongest or the fastest or like, try super hard, or remember what I'm talking about..." He trails off in to thought. "I'm down to do whatever, and this show looks like fun."
Zee seemed more lively when he was on the dock, meeting with the host himself however.
"Chris, my man! Bring it in" He starts.
Chris however cuts him off "Nope! I don't do hugs. Over there" He points back with his thumb.
"Our next camper is Ripper!"
Ripper was shown giving a noogie to the panicked intern which gives more context to the both of them wearing life jackets.
Ripper was in front of his locker at what seemed to be his school. "There's only two things that make a man look weak. Caring about other people and eating mild chicken wings. I'm the strongest guy I know, I don't care about anyone! And I always order my wings bum inferno hot."
To prove his point, his toilet was shown to be on fire.
He was then relaxing in his room, trying to flex his arms. "I used to rule High School. Even scored myself a criminal record for getting in to a fight." He says proudly as if it were an accomplishment.
He was then posing in front of a camera as he was getting his mugshot taken.
"My mom wanted me to give this show a try, says it'll 'make me a better person'." He adds with quotation marks with his fingers.
"It was either this or military school with my Dad." He says, seemingly fearful at the thought of his father "When I win the million, I'm gonna rub it in the faces of all the nerds at my school!"
"Time for beast mode!" Ripper exclaims, ripping open his shirt and flexes his arms.
"Eugh" Mille said, him and Priya sharing disgust over the scene.
Zee meanwhile stared cluelessly after another sip of his soda "Woah, his shirt disappeared."
"Take a long dreamy gander ladies" He says as he approaches them. "Cause once I win the million bucks, I'll be out of your league."
"Like we need to be in your league." Axel retorts with an eye roll.
Chris was scratching his head in confusion. "I don't see a suitcase. Was that your only shirt?" he asks, mildly concerned.
Ripper's eyes grew wide as he yelled "Aw fart nuggets!"
"We'll find you something." Chris reassured as he got back to introducing everyone. "Next up, Damien!"
Damien was looking around, taking in the views of Muskoka.
"Heya! It's Damien time!" Damien said confidently, standing in front of a desk with many chemical flasks and a blackboard, presumably in chemistry class.
"I've never heard of Total Drama Island before." he confessed. "But my friends dared me to make an audition tape!"
The camera switched sides briefly to show Damien's friends, both of which clearly trying to contain their laughter. "And if there's a million bucks up for grabs, count me in! If it's just a summer camp where I have to live with some other people for a bit, how hard can it be?"
He grabbed a flask and shook it around only for it to catch fire, causing him to run around with it yelling "Ah! Fire! Fire!"
"Ey what's up man? I'm here for that million bucks. Where it at?" he asked, seemingly clueless about the show's premise.
"We don't just give it to you" Chris states with a raised eyebrow. "You have seen this show before, right?"
"Nope! How do I get the money?" He repeated eagerly. Chris then chuckled at this.
"Oh you are gonna be fun! Speaking of fun, here comes Lauren!"
Lauren was giggling to herself as she was sitting on the back of the speedboat, the intern clearly nervous for his safety and keeping his life jacket when he brought Ripper here.
Lauren was in her dark, dismal room with candles lit up as if a ritual was taking place.
"People call me Scary Girl but I don't think there's anything wrong with letting your pet bats roam free around your neighborhood." She says, her smile stuck to her like glue.
She was then sitting in an amusement park next to what looked like a detonator. "I wanna come on this show and make a lotta new friends." She said, casually walking over and held the handle to the detonator.
"And then watch them get really hurt." After finishing, she pulled down the handle and an explosion went off in the distance with screams echoing through out the park. "Yeah, I'd like that. Shame they don't allow bats."
"Welcome!" Chris said excitedly.
"You should stop looking at me..." Lauren said eerily.
Going along with it, Chris covered his eyes and signalled her to move along. "Okay, Everyone, this is Cassidy!"
Cassidy had her headphones on, listening to some music as she had her eyes shut.
"I run a small livestream channel all about video games!" She said, clearly busy playing on her controller as she was playing what looked like a first person shooter.
"I once ran a 48 hour challenge stream without falling asleep." She said with her clock moving in hours per second. "I had to be at the doctors for a week after that..." She confessed, giggling anxiously with her arm scratching her back.
"I also work as a kick butt DJ blasting tunes down the block!" She was then playing on a music set with her headphones on and a DJ said in front of her, causing one of the neighbours to yell out "Keep it down!"
"Sorry!" She responded, feeling embarrassed. "I've been watching Total Drama forever! My parents say I could use the time out of the house but what do they know?" Cassidy asks with her arms crossed. "I make a living out of doing what I love. And that's how you win."
Chris made note of the electronics poking out of her back pack including her MP3 player which is currently plugged in. "You know we're gonna have to confiscate those, right?"
Cassidy glanced back at her duffle bag of handhelds. "Aw, really?" she asks, clearly upset at the news.
Before anything else happened, The host's earpeace went off for a couple seconds which he listened in to. "Ugh, fine, you can keep the MP3 player." he decided. Cassidy seemed relieved by this news.
"Go ahead and join your team. Your last member is about to arrive. Here comes Chase!"
People at first wondered where he was since they couldn't see him on the speedboat but then heard cheers as he was pulling up behind it, skiing a lot like Tyler did in the first season of the show.
In his video, Chase was flying over his hometown in a helicopter. "What's up? I'm Chase! You probably know me from my livestream."
What follows was a jingle to the intro of his livesteam channel "3 guys and a girl in a beachhouse!" The banner of his livestream displayed all of their faces until he proceeded to scribble out the girl in the picture. "Except now it's just 3 guys in a beachhouse."
He then walked in to his house, annoyed at the topic "Because my girlfriend, Emma out of nowhere dumped me!" He exclaimed with a clip playing of Emma's finger pointing at Chase whilst he looks heartbroken.
Seemingly ignoring this fact, he continues. "Anyway, Brody, Miles and I? We prank each other, dare each other to eat crazy stuff and do wicked stunts." A compilation was shown of all three guys doing dares such as feeding a crocodile or eating bull testicles.
"Watch this!" He then opened his helicopter door and leapt out, landing on an inflatable crocodile with his legs split as it slowly sank, with the helicopter eventually crashing without a pilot. "If you liked this video, don't forget to subscribe..."
Chase then lept on to the dock with a perfect landing "Chris Mciean! Let's do this! Woohoo!"
"Right over here. The 9 of you are our first team." he announced as the group of 9 all high fived in excitement.
"Alright, now let's take a look at the other team, starting with our next camper, Bowie!"
Bowie was standing at the back with some pink shades on.
Bowie was at his school gym, jogging with a basketball. "I'm Bowie and I'm coming for that Total Drama Crown." He said with a confident smile. He then made a touchdown in to the hoop.
"If you cast me, I'd be your first openly gay contestant on the show." he points out, effortlessly chucking a bowling ball down the lane in the bowling alley and scoring a strike.
Bowie then walked through his room with numerous trophies and medals on display, similar to Priya's room. "I am very competitive. Last year I won both prom king and queen."
He reached the end where he kept his crowns. "You can never have too many crowns" He brags, wearing one for the camera.
"Welcome Bowie, you'll be the first member of the other team." Chris instructed. Bowie carried his luggage and stood on the other side of the dock.
"Up next, Mary Kate!
The woman in question had a duffle bag on her as she looked fairly neutral.
"Heya! Call me MK!" she said, standing outside a cafe as she entered and sat down.
"People think you win Total Drama Island by being strong but nah, people see that!" She pointed out, taking a sip of her smoothie before continuing. "What you need in this game is a secret talent. Know what mine is?" She asked as a couple walked past her lonely table, texting.
She took this opportunity and reached down for a couple seconds. "People are always on their phones nowadays, makes it a lot easier." Right on queue, the guy was frantically checking himself in all areas. "Hey, where's my wallet?" he asks in a panicked state.
After a couple seconds, she pulled out said wallet and shook it valiantly. "I'm always underrestimated."
MK finished up her smoothie before exiting the cafe, exclaiming "I'm coming for that prize money!"
"MK, just over there please."
MK walked past and joined her team, Chris then checked himself quickly, likely making sure she didn't steal anything before carrying on.
"Here comes our next camper, Harvey!"
Harvey came in with a couple bags in tow, looking nervous.
Harvey was relaxing in a chair outside his house. "High school got way too much so I decided to ditch it so I'd have more time having fun!" He began with, seemingly happy with his current life.
He then got up and walked around. "I live in a small area and I make a living out of working in some side gigs." he informed as some photos were then took of all his ocupations as he was listing them. "Babysitting, chores, fashion roles, cooking, setting the stove on fire, oh wait..."
Harvey was then in his room glancing at a map. "I want to be on this show so I can use the money to see the world." He states as he spins the globe he has in his room. "I'll do anything to win. 16 years in a small area makes a guy pretty sharp." He then points at his brain with his finger, seemingly determined to come out on top.
"Harvey! Get downstairs and finish washing the dishes!" He heard his Dad yell from downstairs.
Harvey sighed in response "Yes Dad, cut the cameras." he informed before exiting the room.
"What's with all the bags?" Chris quizzed, as he wasn't expecting someone to bring that much to the game. Even Axel had only 1 bag of weapons.
"What? This is a summer camp, right?" He asked in defense. Chris let out an almost demonic sounding laugh, making the teen nervous as he walked by.
Damien also felt uneasy about this and turned to Priya, whispering "Why is he laughing like that?".
Priya herself responded with "That's his 'I can't wait to torture you' laugh.
"Huh? Torture?" Damien asked, turning towards her in concern. Chris meanwhile wiped the tears off his face from laughing.
"Alright, let's continue. Next up, Emma!"
Emma was leaning on the front of the speedboat, clearly excited to be there. Chase meanwhile turned around in shock after making small talk with the other team, only being able to make out the words "What the who now?"
Emma switched on a blender and was jumping on a trampoline in her kitchen. "Hey there! I'm Emma. I'd be great on Total Drama Island." She introduces herself. Jumping off the trampoline and chugging the contents of her blender.
It then switched over to her sitting in her living room. "I'm not scared about the challenges." She says while pulling out her tablet. "After all, I used to be part of a fun livestream with my boyfriend and his buddies doing all these crazy dares." She then scrolled through a list of some of their videos. Until she stopped on one in particular, making her angry. "I'm not a part of that group anymore. I left 3 months ago." She said through gritted teeth.
She then went outside with a bow and arrows in tow, stopping at a picture of Chase on an arrow board.
"Why? Because my stupid boyfriend Chase is now my stupid ex boyfriend and I am never going to see him again." She yells, pointing at the picture, piercing it with each arrow. "Much better" She sighs, much calmer than her prior state.
Emma then stepped off. "Hey everyone! Nice to meet you!" She greeted in a friendly tone. Her eyes went all over the place until they stopped at Chase when she was filled with anger yet again. "What is he doing here!?" She pointed and yelled
"Babe?" Chase asked with a smile, oblivious to his ex's rage. Not wasting any time, she tried to leap at him, only to be held back by Chris as Chase looked petrified.
"Oooh, I like this one." Bowie pointed out, clearly happy to have her as part of his team.
"Wow, wow, intense." Chris chuckled as she guided Emma to be with her team as it was slowly filling up, her teeth gritting. "You'd almost think we brought you both here on purpose." He added with a cocky smile.
"At least you're not on the same team." Harvey whispered anxiously. She seemed slightly calmer about this but still didn't respond.
"And now, Caleb!" The host introduces as over half the cast is left speechless at the male model coming towards the dock. Caleb seemed relaxed as he started attracting looks.
"Oh my" Priya began, blushing at the site.
"Woah" Emma followed with, gazing at him along with Bowie.
Caleb was using weights with coconuts on both ends as he had his shirt off with the camera crew evident. "I work for a fashion agency, they hook me up with all the best deals." He began with a smile.
After the shoot was done, he was walking on the beach. "I work out on the daily and make sure I spend every day looking like this." He said with a flex in his arm. As he walked along, people on the beach were all looking at him in a dreamy gaze. "There isn't anybody I don't get along with, that's why I know I'm gonna win." he said, seemingly sure of himself. "Get the brand out there and show everyone what I'm all about.
Even the intern was staring at him dreamily which lead to the speedboat crashing in to the dock. "Wow, sorry, I just... um... I've never seen anyone as handsome as you." She stuttered.
Caleb merely placed a hand on her shoulder, reassuring her "No worries, it happens all the time." as he got off.
"Oh great, competition" Ripper said, trying to make the sarcasm evident in his voice even though it went over the group's heads.
"Wow, it's pretty clear who's gonna win this thing. 20 bucks on that guy." Zee pointed out, Priya looked over at him with concern.
"Betting against yourself seems wrong." She points out, Zee however was struggling to see her point.
"Disagree! If I win, I get the million. But if I don't win and he does, I make 20 bucks." He exclaims.
MK who was standing next to him, gives his statement some thought "Hey, I'll shake on that bet" she suggest with her hand out as Zee, not thinking once, let alone twice, decides to shake on it.
"You're on!" he cheered.
"Our next two players came as a package deal" Chris pointed out. "All the way from Northern Alberta, Wayne and Raj!"
The two players both glanced at the waters while in the speedboat. "Dude, imagine winter time, this lake turning in to ice." Raj says.
"Biggest hockey rink ever bro." Wayne agrees.
Both of them were standing in front of their usual ice rink. "Raji and I are part of only the best hockey team ever!" Wayne exclaims.
"Go snow owls!" Raj cheers as the two of them go "Hoot Hoot!".
A compilation was shown of their hockey games together as they scored goals. "We know how to win, we've gotten our team to finals for 3 seasons straight". Raj brags as the two bros are held up by the rest of the team with their trophy.
"We're gonna make it as professional hockey players and turn Alberta in to one epic hockey rink!" Wayne says excitedly.
"Right on!" Raj says, matching his hype as the duo high fived.
The two of them jumped off and met with Chris.
"Sup man, we're here eh?" Raj greeted the host.
"Boys, your team is over there." Chris points to the forming second team with it's first five members.
"Oh sweet, thanks coach." Wayne thanked as the duo left for their team before deciding to analyse their opponents. "Guess that makes this the other team then. Whatcha think, Raji?" The hockey bro asks.
"I'd be more impressed with a clogged toilet." Raj retorts.
Ripper then got mad at the taunting, trying to think of a comeback on the spot "Oh yeah? Well... you two are... you're both... then look out cause..." he stammers, trying to search for the right words before the brothers cut him off.
"Oh no, I think this half naked one's broken" Raj fake panics and laughs along with Wayne.
"Oh be nice Raji, maybe it's his first day with a new mouth hole." Wayne points out. The two of them burst out laughing.
Ripper growls as he approaches the two, seemingly about to start another fight before Axel stops him. "Save it for the game." She states.
"Don't tell me what to do!" He argues, only to be met with more growling in response. "I'm gonna save it for the game." he muttered.
"Our next camper is a bit of a big deal" Chris talks up, gaining everyone's attention. "Welcome, Nichelle Ladonna!"
Nichelle arrived at the dock almost immediately, catching the eyes of almost everyone just like Caleb. "Yes, hi, it's me!" Nichelle responded with a flip of her hair.
Many people stared at her in awe, specifically Bowie, Emma and MK.
"Nichelle Ladonna? Star of the hit TV show, hot teen ninja detective squad?" Bowie asks, seeming lost for words that they'll be on the same team.
"I loved her in gorgeous people high." Emma adds.
Nichelle was shown in her makeup cabin, getting ready for her next big shoot. "I started acting back when I was just 14. And I've made it big on a lot of shows and movies." She began.
Magazines and posters were shown to be slowly piling up. "I've won 3 Gemmy's and 7 awards for my awesome stunts fighting against ninjas and animals." Her awards were displayed in her mansion.
"I want to win this show and be the biggest actor in all of Canada!" She reveals, seeming set on this goal. "These people won't know who they're messing with until it's too late."
Nichelle walked past Chris to join her team.
"And last but not least, Julia!"
Julia was seen laying down on the front of the speedboat, striking a pose.
"So a little bit about me, I think this show is such an amazing platform for me to share my personal light and positive energy with the world." Julia starts with as with every few words, her scenary changes, from meditating in the middle of a forest on a carpet before transitioning in to different parts of her house including her room with a ringlight, in a hot tub and in a stump in the middle of a lake.
"I've been an influencer for 2 years, a Mandy Belleville Brand Ambassador and a proud citizen of Mother Earth" She lists as she was then getting ready in a makeup cabin before showing up on a fashion walkway in various clothes.
Afterwards, she was even filming herself returning to her house. "I can't wait to embark on my Total Drama journey of self discovery!"
"Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air. Crystals are real. Prayer hands emoji." She concludes.
"Welcome Julia, you can join the other..." Chris began before getting cut off by the influencer.
"Sorry, could you...?" Julia says as she grabs Chris in for a selfie, the host frozen in place. "Growing, #MyJourneyBegins."
Chris however was not amused. "Um, remember the legal blah blah contract you signed?" he said, pulling out a copy of the contract to show her. "There was that bit about no phones on the island."
Julia seems taken aback by this. "But how am I supposed to grow as a person if I'm not telling my followers I'm growing as a person?" she asks. Chris however seemed like he couldn't care less.
"That is a question for someone who cares about that question. Give Chef your phone please." He said as Chef turned up with a box, already full with most of Cassidy's electronics. She then points at the girl in question.
"What about her?" She asks as Cassidy was now holding her MP3 player tightly.
"Not a phone or a gaming console." He specifies as she caves in, handing over the phone in her hand.
"Fine, I'm stronger than you think." She points out as she walks away.
"Wonderful. Now all your phones." Chris continued, clearly unamused.
"Julia rolled her eyes as she placed a couple more phones in. "That's it, I swear on the planet." She promised with a hand on her chest.
Chris, still not believing her, brought out a security scanner, with it going off almost immediately. "On the planet, huh? Wow" Chris states sarcasticly as Julia looked down and took out her last phone.
"Bye babies, don't worry. Mommy will be back for you." Julia promises as she glances back down to her phones. Chef then walked away with the box.
"Wow, that was so cold you could hang ballcaps on my nipples" Wayne commented out of left field.
"Now that you're all here. Let's get down to business. Chef?" Chris signalled as Chef returned with the team flags, handing them out to the two groups of 9 depending on when they arrived.
"First 9, your team is the Ferocious Trout." Chef informed as Zee unrolled the red flag which looked similar to the Killer Bass logo.
"The other team, the Frogs of Death."
Emma caught the opposing green flag which was shown to have a frog with a skull and crossbones on it.
"Your teams will compete head to head in challenges. If your team wins, you're all safe." Chef began before Chris walked in to talk about his favorite part of the show.
"The losing team however will attend a marshmallow ceremony at the fire pit where they'll vote on which team member is the losiest loser of the losers." Chris announced, with the infamous plate of marshmallows being displayed as one by one, they disappeared until it was empty.
"And the person with the most votes is eliminated. They will immediately head to the dock of shame and will be flown home by the drone of despair." An intern who was busy cleaning the dock was then taken by the drone and flown out, clutching his hat for dear life.
"You'll find your cabins marked with your team flag. Go and get settled, you'll have your first challenge tomorrow. Any questions?" The host asked.
"Are the cabins co-ed?" Ripper asked suggestively, chuckling before Axel dropped her weapon bag on his foot, shutting him up.
"Can I vote now?" She followed with.
"I assume challenges get postponed if it's too hot?" Millie asked.
"Can I get switched to the team that has death in the name?" Lauren chimed in.
"What is there to do around here?" Cassidy wondered.
"What if I don't have a question?" Zee asked with a panicked expression. Chris then cut them all off with an air horn.
"Time's up, no more questions. Oh yeah, one more thing. You can find the outhouse confessional to the far end from the communal washrooms." He informed, the camera pointing to the stenchy outhouse. Now beat it." He ordered as everyone made their way to their cabins.
CONFESSIONAL: MK
MK glanced around at the confessional before speaking "So this is the confessional, huh? Looks a lot smaller in person but so does everything on a cheap budget show" she laughed before continuing.
"Still, people do seem to love talking in this thing. I've gotta figure out how I can use that to get me far".
CONFESSIONAL: PRIYA
"Hi Mom and Dad!" Priya waves excitedly. "This is so cool! I've dreamt of sitting here my entire life!
She then paused for a second. "Uh, I meant here as in Camp Wawanakwa, not in an outhouse. They've had plenty of those in Summer Camp!". She smiles awkwardly while smacking her forehead.
CONFESSIONAL: CHASE
"Love that Em's playing hard to get. She was exactly like this when we were in school together." Chase pointed out with a laugh. "I know all her queues".
FEROCIOUS TROUT CABIN DAY #1.
The girls of the Trout entered their side of the cabins to find 4 sets of bunk beds. Priya settled on the one on the top right. "Ah, this is perfect!" she relaxed. "A lot comfier than I thought too".
Her comfort was short lived however when Axel turned up. "I'll take the top" she announced, chucking her luggage on the top bunk, bending it like a hammock. Priya managing to dodge in time.
"Oh, uh, okay. I-I'll grab a different bed" She stammered, wandering to the bottom right bunks.
"Whatever..." Axel responded in an unimpressed tone.
A few seconds after Priya sat down on the bottom bunk, Lauren peered over her on the top. "Do you scream in your sleep?" She wondered.
"N-no" Priya responded, finding her gaze slightly off putting.
"Huh, we'll see" Lauren thought out loud, re-emerging back in to her bunk.
"Oh, Uh, I'm gonna try the one way over there." Priya pointed out, going over to the left side where Cassidy and Millie settled on to their beds. "Either of you wanna be bunk buddies?" She asked timmidly.
"Depends if you want my tunes keeping you up" Cassidy responded, one earphone still in.
"You can bunk with me!" Millie said eagerly, pointing to the bottom. Priya smiled and sat down.
"Uh huh, yup, this one's way better!" she determined. She laid down before the bunk sandwiched itself with her inbetween.
"Do you need help?" Millie asked, mildly concerned.
"I really do" Priya muffled.
Meanwhile, on the guys side, Zee had his bag next to one of the beds on the top right until Ripper turned up behind him.
"Hey! I call dibs on the bed behind the window!" He yelled, causing Zee to turn around.
"Oh, I didn't hear you call it. You want the top or the bottom?" Zee asked in response.
Ripper then grabbed him and turned him around to face him "I want whichever one you want! Maybe we should fight for it."
"Uh, I'll just take a different bed" Zee said, leaving with is bag with a smile.
"Yeah, you will. Good call". Ripper grinned.
CONFESSIONAL: RIPPER
"Boom!" Ripper yells. "No one messes with an alfalfa male" he said with his arms crossed.
FROGS OF DEATH CABINS DAY #1.
Wayne and Raj already claimed one of the bunks next to the window, glad that they got to share one.
"Our team has some real hotties" Wayne said.
"For sure, eh? Which one's your favorite?" Raj asked before getting interupted by Bowie who threw his bag on the bunk in front of the duo.
"Okay, if you're gonna talk about me, I'll give you some privacy" He inputed, leaving the cabin. Harvey meanwhile was busy unpacking his extra pillows.
In the girl's cabin, Julia was busy decorating next to her bunk, putting up flowers by the sun.
"So much more aesthetic now. Flowers always make my soul feel happy" She said, adding the finishing touches. While her back was turned, MK, who was sitting on the bunk behind her, reached out and pulled out a locket from her pocket.
"Oh yeah, I'm much happier now" She grinned. Pocketing the necklace.
Emma meanwhile was sitting outside on the steps with Bowie sitting next to her. Harvey then came out with a couple pillows in hand.
"Hey, you guys want a pillow? I think I brought one too many" He offered.
"Awesome, thanks!" Emma said. "Mine was feeling a bit flat".
"So..." Bowie started, clearly wanting to go gossip digging. "Your ex. What's up with that? "
Emma's mood immediately went sour again over the thought of Chase's name. "I cannot believe Chase is here. This is my competition. He must've known I would sign up for this" she specculated.
"Let it out, what did he do? Tell me everything" He pushed.
"I don't want to get in to it". Her face covered her hands. "All I'll say, is if I win the million, I'm donating half of it to an animal hospital."
"Aw, that is something I'll never do" Bowie admitted.
"What do you guys want to do with the money?" Emma asked.
"I would love to put some of aside to get my fashion degree!" Bowie revealed, taking off his sunglasses. "I even had these handmade."
"Wow, those look awesome." Harvey pointed out. "As for me, I just want to travel for a bit. Haven't left Canada all my life" he added, slightly embarrassed.
"Aw, that's so cool!" Emma said, excitedly. "Holidays for me meant waking up to an airhorn and water every morning" She said with an eye roll.
CONFESSIONAL: HARVEY
"Since I'm at home a ton, I watch a LOT of livestreams so I know who Chase and Emma are." Harvey stated, seemingly excited that he's on the same island as them. "Emma left the channel a few months ago, just hasn't been the same" he shrugged. "With her and Bowie, I'd say we have a good shot at killing these challenges!"
CONFESSIONAL: BOWIE
"Our team seems to have a lot of influencers. Typical" he says, while rolling his eyes. "But with the others, maybe I can start working on alliances. After all, that's Survival 101 in this game" he explains confidently.
The loudspeaker then came on later on in the day with Chef's voice present. "Listen here, maggots. Dinner will be served in 10 minutes. Get your buts down to the mess hall. You don't show, you don't eat."
MESS HALL NIGHT #1.
All 18 campers lined up for Chef's food. Dinner consisted of suspicious white paste and a burger with mystery meat inside. Everyone looked somewhat grossed out by this.
"You're telling me we have to eat this stuff for an entire month?" Damien asked while sitting down with his tray of food. "Pass!"
"Did they even taste taste this?" Millie wondered.
"Heh, you guys are wimps" Ripper butted in with his tray of food. "They serve you this kinda food all the time in juvie."
"I sincerely doubt that" Millie's eyes rolled as she kept prodding at her food.
"That's awesome man" Chase interupted and fist bumped Ripper. "One of my best videos was when Miles downed an entire bowl of meat testicles. He had to go and get his stomach pumped!" him and Ripper both laughed together at this while Millie raised an eyebrow.
CONFESSIONAL: MILLIE
"Bonding over testicles? I'll have this novel finished in no time!" Millie quickly scribbled down notes in to her book.
"My plan is simple, any time any of these people says or does something dumb, I make note of it for my research. Then I'll be able to write out my full analysis on these people and summarise my thoughts on my generation" She explained. Then shook her hand uncomfortably. "My hand is already cramping!".
On the opposite table, Caleb wasted no time finishing his dish, Julia watched in awe.
"Wow, you're really good at eating that stuff" She pointed out.
"When you're in the modeling world. You've gotta have a balanced diet to be in good shape" he brags.
"I respect that." Julia commended. "If I win, I wanna launch a special health and self care program for all my awesome fans. Just so they can appreciate Mother Earth a lot more".
"The earth is a beautiful place" Caleb agreed.
CONFESSIONAL: JULIA
"I love Caleb's energy, we have a lot in common!" Julia observed. "I want to move forward with a team with positive energy, that's how we can win!"
CONFESSIONAL: CALEB
"Julia seems like a good ally to have. If I can get a couple people like her with me, who cares about challenges? I'll be all good" Caleb smirked.
Axel, Lauren and Zee were sitting at the far end on one of the tabels.
"Come on guys, eat up. We need to be strong for tomorrow" Axel ordered.
"Am I gonna feel weird after this?" Zee wondered, not sure what the side affects of the food would be.
"I'm used to eating things that used to be alive" Lauren shrugged.
"Oh yeah? Like what?" Axel's eyebrow raised.
"Some rat, scorpion, even tried some roasted squirrel." Lauren listed off. Zee and Axel seem fairly unbothered by this, likely due to their nature.
CONFESSIONAL: AXEL
"Our team's never gonna make it if we're living off that stuff. First rule of the apocolypse, the weak ones are the first to die. That's not gonna be me." Axel crossed her eyes as she practiced with her nunchucks.
Chris then came in whilst one of the interns, Michael, was wheeling in a large, rectangular covered item. Placing it to the right of the mess hall entrance. "How's everyone enjoying their food?" he asked, trying to seem interested.
"How can you say this is food with a straight face?" Bowie curiously asked while pointing with his fork.
"Seriously, where's the good stuff at?" Emma added.
"Any other questions that I'm not gonna answer?" Chris interogated with a stern look. Silence followed and his usual smile followed "Good!".
"Now, in seasons past, we've had fun themes to go along with each season. From an Island, to a film lot, around the world, toxic waste, All Star players and even artificial life." he listed. "This season, as part of a reboot, we're going with the one thing that teenagers today are obsessed with."
Chris paused for a second for dramatic effect before continuing on with "Money!"
"But we're already competing for money" Cassidy interupted.
"A million big ones, sure. But Camp Wawanakwa has it's own currency." he trailed off before reaching in to his pocket, pulling out green bills with his face on it, primarily identical to the ones from the Bank Heist episode of Action. "Drama Dollars!"
"What do we need phony money for anyway?" Ripper rolled his eyes.
"After each team wins a challenge, you'll get some to spend on this bad boy!"
Chris then proceeded to uncover the item.
"The Total Drama Island Vending Machine!"
Everyone gasped as they found many slots filled with many different snacks, some including pieces of paper and mysterious cards.
"To make your stay here a little more interesting. This Vending Machine will be available through out most of the season. If you have enough Drama Dollars, you can use them on whatever you want, snacks, supplies, contact home, and even some special clues". Chris explained.
"Clues for what?" MK asked with a deadpan expression.
"Oh yeah, that's another thing. During the show's history, you might've heard something called the Mclean Invincibility Statue." Chris answered, leading a lot of gasps of excitement.
"This season, we've rebranded again." An intern walks over with a plate with two statues, one of a red fish, the other of a green rat.
"We have two Immunity Statues hidden through out the Island. One for the Rats, one for the Trout. Find your respective statue and you can use it at any elimination ceremony to claim your marshmallow before you guys go and cast your ballets. Or if you merge, either statue is fair game. So while not as powerful, should still come in handy if you find yourself in a tight space. You can buy clues from this machine to help you out."
CONFESSIONAL: RIPPER
"That Immunity Statue is as good as mine!" He boasted. "No one's gonna mess with me when I get my hands on it. I can kickstart my plan of taking charge of the team."
"Go ahead and get some rest. Trust me, you're gonna need it" The host warned before leaving the contestants to their own devices. They slowly left the mess hall one by one to get ready for bed.
During the middle of the night, Cassidy was kept up with her teammates unusual sleep talks.
"Stay back you rotten corpses" Axel growled, hand movements visible as she seems to be fighting the air around her.
"Hehehehe" Lauren was giggling to herself loud enough and within earshot. Cassidy rolled her eyes, lept out of her bunk and went outside.
CONFESSIONAL: CASSIDY
"Usually I can handle loud noises when sleeping with other people with my music but it's like they aren't even asleep" Cassidy groaned. "I'm never gonna be able to get some shuteye if I don't get rid of these people soon.
She headed over to the campfire area which was the most lit up place all over the island. Within a couple seconds she could see that she wasn't alone.
"Heya, Cassie right?" MK asked.
"Eh, kinda. It's what my friends call me" Cassidy pointed out.
"Can't sleep either, huh?" She asked MK as she sat beside her.
"Nichelle keeps murmuring lines from her movies and Emma's talking about death threats to send to Chase" She responded dryly. "Lemme guess, zombie girl and doll house?"
"Huh?" Cassidy wondered cluelessly.
"Axel and Lauren" She specified, a tad annoyed that her nicknames went over her head. Cassidy nodded as the two stood by the campfire, admiring the radiant heat.
"It's not like I wanna turn up my music on this thing and wake the whole cabin up. That'll get me toast. I'm trying to lay low here." Cassie sighed.
"Smart move" MK found herself glancing over at the MP3 player that Cassidy was holding and started thinking to herself "Say... you ever tried downloading stuff other than music on to that thing?" she curiously asked.
"Eh, not really. Still got quite a bit of space on it. Why else would I need it?" Cassidy wondered, not knowing where MK was going with this.
"I've got an idea that can help both you and I out, but what say we agree to an alliance first?" MK offered. "We can keep tabs on both teams and keep each other safe. What do you say?". MK extended her hand
"Hm... a cross team alliance would help me out. Okay deal!" Cassidy decided, shaking MK's hand.
DAY #2.
It was around 7am in the morning as Chris stood outside both cabins with something in hand. "Another Total Drama throwback, the airhorn megaphone. Can't beat the classics." He whispered with a wink. He then switched the megaphone on and let out the airhorn which rowded the wildlife and woke almost everyone up.
"Ugh, what do they think this is? Boot camp?" Millie asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Up and attem, soldiers! We've got a challenge to win!" Axel ordered, already outside the Trout cabin. Everyone got up one by one and left the cabins.
"Breakfast in the Mess Hall then meet me down at the beach for your first challenge." Chris said over the megaphone.
WAWANAKWA BEACH DAY #2.
After only an hour of waking up, everyone met up down by the beach, standing on their team mats, on the other side were Chris and Chef.
"Ferocious Trout, Frogs of Death. Welcome to your first challenge" Chris said.
Chef then took the reigns to explain how this challenge would work. "This challenge is all about learning to communicate and trust your new teammates. 3 players from each team will run out one at a time and navigate this obstacle course to get a flag with your team color on it. Then return to the tower and the next person goes."
"Nice, that sounds super easy" Zee said calmly, about to crack open his next soda.
"Zee's right, it does sound easy. That's why the courses will be loaded with booby traps" Chris revealed, causing Wayne and Raj to giggle.
"He said Booby Traps" Wayne whispered between laughs.
"Shh, the coach is talking" Raj chucked.
"Randomly scattered posts, lobster traps, messy mud puddles, nests of murder hornets, hot coal roads and deep pits that'll trip you up." Chris listed with a smile, clearly excited about the challenge structure. "These'll all be very easy to avoid if you weren't blindfolded. Which all flag carriers will be." Chris then held up a couple blindfolds whilst everyone looked at each other nervously.
"Blindfolds, makes it hard to see" Ripper informs Zee who took a sip of his can.
"It does" Zee nodded.
"Hey man, where'd you get the soda from?" Ripper questioned.
"I have no idea" Zee said with wide eyes. "Want some?"
"Pfft, as if." Ripper pushed away. Millie meanwhile looked on, writing more in her notebook.
"Each blindfolded runner will rely on the voices of the last two teammates. Who from the top of these towers, will get them to the flags and back again safely. You will use these pullees to raise all 3 flags to the top, and make sure not to drop one or you'll need to start again." Chef continued before he tagged out with Chris yet again.
"The first team to get all 3 flags to the top, wins this challenge, immunity, 5 Drama Dollars each and dine on pizza and wings for dinner tonight." Wayne and Raj fistbumped, excited mainly about the wings. "The losers will be stuck with Chef's food for another night and will be sending someone home. Teams, decide who's doing what, and we start in two minutes." Chris then left the teams to deliberate amongst themselves.
Everyone decided on their roles. For the Trout, it was Ripper, Axel and Chase running for the flags while Millie and Damian were the callers. And for the Rats, it was Wayne, Nichelle and Harvey running for the flags with Emma and Bowie doing the calling. Everyone else was pulling the flags up.
"Campers. Ready... Set..." Chris then pulled out an orange pistol and shot it at the sky. Wayne and Ripper were the first to run out for their flags.
"Straight on! Then go right"
"Straight! Straight!"
Millie and Emma's voices filled the air as the first two runners started making progress. "Good. Now left! I said left!" Millie yelled at Ripper who continued going right.
"Your left is my right!" He argued and went crashing headfirst in to the lobster cages.
"Ugh, your other left." Millie slapped her forehead.
"Oh that looked like it hurt" Damien cringed at the site.
Ripper stopped in his tracks to try and get all the lobsters out who were sticking to him. One stuck to the back of his trousers which he ripped off, exposing his butt to the world.
"Ah! Gross!" Millie covered her eyes in horror.
"Woah, bum!" Zee pointed and giggled.
Ripper proceeded again before stopping. "I think my shoe's untied" he bent over again, exposing himself to all the non blindfolded players. Damien and Millie screamed and looked away.
CONFESSIONAL: DAMIEN
"Ah, no, no, no! You cannot put that on TV!" He yelled at the camera with his eyes still closed.
Wayne then felt around and found a flag. "Hey! I got one!"
"Great, hurry back!" Bowie clapped his hands.
"The Frogs of Death have the lead!" Chris commentated.
"Woah, hold it!" Emma called out as Wayne stopped with the green flag in hand. "Hornets nest, right above you!"
"Murder hornets. Don't forget the murder part. It upsets them" Chris reminded As the hornets continued to fly around their nests.
Wayne managed to make it through the nests by army crawling and raced back to the Tower.
"Woah! Wicked moves bro!" Raj called out as the two high fived and Wayne placed the flag on the platform. Ripper meanwhile was running back with his first flag and Nichelle tagged out and stopped in front of the same hornet's nest.
"Just stay low and keep moving" Bowie reccomended as Nichelle listened and tried sneaking around.
"If I get stung, can you make sure it's not on my face?" The actress asked.
"Um, no?" Chris chimed in.
A hornet found itself on her finger and stung it, causing her to jump and get a nest stuck in her head. "AHHH! GET OUT OF MY HAIR!"
"Ripper, move forward at a 45 degree angle" Mille called out, which made the self proclaimed alpha male all the more confused.
"I don't speak nerd!" he yelled back.
"Just start heading towards the right" Damian specified as he was able to dodge the obstacles and made it back to the tower. This signalled Axel to start sprinting off to retrieve her flag.
CONFESSIONAL: AXEL
"Blindfolds? Pfft, even 3 year old me can handle that" She boasted. "They don't each you to rely on your instincts at army camp for nothing."
Axel was able to leap across one post to the other with ease. Slowly catching up to Nichelle.
"Wow, she's good" Millie commended. She didn't even need her or Damien's directions.
"Pfft, that was easy" Ripper claimed as he stepped forward, only to walk in to a rake that struck him and caused him to pass out in front of both towers.
Bowie's eyes widened as his sunglasses shattered from view, he then attempted to cover Emma's eyes. "Do not look at Ripper right now!"
Emma however, lifted his arm and immediately closed her eyes "Ew! Turn around!"
Nichelle immediately stopped, not too far away from her flag. "Aren't I supposed to get the flag?"
"Not you! She was talking to Ripper. He tore the back of his pants open and there is a full moon out there!" Bowie responded.
Ripper then stumbled back on his feet and watched as Axel tore her way through the course. "Pfft, show off" was all he could say.
"Things are evening up!" Chris said as Nichelle and Axel were both running back with their flags and Nichelle ran head first in to another conveniently placed rake, causing her to trip up.
"Woah! Remember, slow and steady wins the race!" Bowie yelled.
"Exactly!" Emma said.
"Nah, we should pick up the pace." Caleb spoke in his soft voice, causing Bowie to admire him.
"Caleb's right. Move!" He ordered.
"You got it!" Nichelle said with determination before bumping in to one of the posts.
CONFESSIONAL: NICHELLE
"Okay, not even in my stunt movies am I tossed around this much!" She complained, trying to pick splinters from her arms.
Axel was the first to reach the tower and added her flag to the platform which was when Chase tagged out to get the Trout's last flag. Nichelle meanwhile could only crawl back to the platform and threw her flag on before she laid in the sand. Harvey then took off to try and make back time.
Chase still held the lead until the callers halted him in front of a mud puddle.
"There's a mud puddle. You should go around it!" Millie spoke out.
"Pfft, a mud puddle?" Chase asked as he casually walked inside of it. "I think I'll be fi-" he spoke before getting cut off by the mud, not expecting it to be that deep.
"Yeah, unlike Julia's social media posts, we made sure those puddles were deep." Chris said not so passive aggressively.
"You're like, really funny" Julia rolled her eyes.
Chase re-emerged from the puddle, covered and coughing up mud.
"Just keep moving, c'mon!" Millie called, trying to get him to move closer to the flag.
"He could've drowned!" Damien argued.
"You got this! Straight forward!" Emma interupted as Harvey ran forward past the mud puddle.
"Thanks for the help, babe!" Chase responded as he waved at his ex, who could only groan in response.
"I wasn't talking to you! You are doing awful. And you don't get to call me 'babe' anymore." Emma growled.
"Why are you so mad at me?" Chase shrugged, seeming genuine.
"Uh guys-" Harvey called out, trying to get some sort of direction advice.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" Emma yelled at the top of her lungs, cutting Harvey off.
CONFESSIONAL: BOWIE
"Oooh!" Bowie cooed as he clapped his hands together excitedly. "Here's where we find out what he did. I bet he kissed another girl, one hundred percent! Straight couples, am I right?"
"YOU CUT THE BREAKS ON MY CAR!" Emma continued to yell, causing an awkward silence amongst the group.
CONFESSIONAL: BOWIE
"Straight couples are messed up..." Bowie was at a loss for words.
CONFESSIONAL: LAUREN
"He's got good taste." Lauren giggled to herself.
"You're still mad about that?" Chase questioned as he made his way towards the flag.
"Of course I am! You made me crash in to a pet store." Emma cried.
"Say what now?" Bowie asked awkwardly.
"Ugh! That's why I'm donating 25% of the million to an animal hospital" She revealed to the group.
"Hold up, I thought it was half." MK wondered with a smile.
"Well I need money for a new therapist somehow!" Emma said.
"I'd hate to interupt but..." Caleb pointed towards Harvey's direction.
Her and Bowie turned their attention to Harvey who ended up on the hot coals and was running around with his feet on fire. Meanwhile Chase was running back with the last flag for the Trout. Harvey eventually bumped in to the last flag. "Oh, bingo!"
"Harvey! Run!" Bowie yelled out, causing Harvey to panic and try and make a full sprint back.
Chase was able to get the third flag on to the platform.
"All the Trout's flags are on the platform. They can go ahead and start raising it!" Chris instructed as they started the raise.
"Pull..." Priya said as her and Cassidy were on one side and Lauren and Zee were on the other, raising the platform carefully.
Harvey was partway through before coming up on the pits.
"He's heading for the pits!" Bowie exclaimed. "Harvey! Wait!"
"No! Keep running! I'll tell you when to jump!" Emma instructed.
"Wait, what?" Harvey panicked.
"Pull!" Priya continued timing everyone's pulls as they inched closer to the top.
"JUMP!"
Harvey tried leaping across but came short as he fell in to the pit of water and got attacked by crabs. "GAHHHH!"
"And the Ferocious Trout have won the challenge!" Chris announced as Damien and Millie held up all 3 flags. The Trout all cheered as the 4 lifters all high fived as Chase and Ripper fist bumped.
Harvey then stumbled back to the group, managing to escape the crabs.
"Ferocious Trout, you can head to the dining hall for a reward feast" Chef announced as they all started heading off in high spirits.
"Frogs of Death. Meet me at the campfire pit tonight. One of you is heading home." Chris concluded as they all shared nervous looks with each other.
"Game over boys, game over" Wayne had his head held down.
FROGS OF DEATH CABINS DAY #2.
The Frogs of Death arrived at their cabins, trying to recover from the challenge. Nichelle and Harvey stood outside, seemingly dejected and annoyed.
"I mean who does that girl think she is? Complaining about her ex when we're the ones getting all banged up out there." Nichelle complained, still picking out splinters from her arms.
"I was stuck in those coals forever and I'm probably gonna end up with crusty feet for a week" Harvey shuddered.
"I talked to Caleb and Julia, they seem on board so, whatever" Nichelle shrugged as she walked off to use the washrooms.
Inside the cabins, Emma was seemingly annoyed at herself as Bowie tried comforting her.
"I can't believe I let him get to me! Again!" Emma yelled out as her pillow covered her head.
"Exes are the worst" Bowie reassured.
"What am I gonna do? The whole team is probably mad at me!" She asked.
"Oh I've got an idea or two" Bowie responded as he had an evil look in his eyes.
CAMPFIRE CEREMONY 1: NIGHT #2
The Frogs of Death all made their way to the dreaded elimination ceremony where Chris and Chef were both waiting for them. They each took a seat on one of the stumps next to the bonfire.
"Frogs. Welcome to the first elimination ceremony of the season. I'm sorry to say one of you will be going home. In a few moments, you will all cast your votes." The host opened with. "But first, let's recap on what happened, just for funzies." he said with a smile.
Chef then stepped forward to address the group "Emma, you let your emotions get in the way and it cost your team the lead." he said which gave the former influencer a couple glares as she looked down.
CONFESSIONAL: EMMA
"Story of my life, Chase messes everything up for me" she states, infuriated at her situation. "If I get voted off first, I will never forgive myself. From now on, my focus is on helping my team win." She says, hoping her team haven't lost faith in her already.
"Nichelle, you slowed the team down when they had the lead because you were focused on your looks. Which let Axel catch up" he followed as many looked over at the famous actress.
CONFESSIONAL: NICHELLE
"So what? Don't be playing like I wasn't trying to win. My hair got ruined!" She yells while crossing her arms.
"Caleb, you didn't do much to help your team and haven't spent a lot of time connecting." The model seemed generally unphased by this, seemingly bored by this entire process.
CONFESSIONAL: CALEB
"Who cares about the challenge? All that matters is that I get enough control to send who I want, home." he states with a tone of confidence and determination.
"And Harvey. You lost your team the flag after falling in to a ditch. Ruining any shot you guys had of winning". Harvey sighed, as if the bruises wasn't punishment enough.
CONFESSIONAL: HARVEY
"Hey! You try leaping over a pit of crabs with your feet as burnt as the sun." He said as a way of defending himself.
Chris took the plate from Chef as everyone finished up in the confessional.
"You've all cast your ballets and your votes have been counted. I have 8 marshmallows on this plate. If I call your name, you get a marshmalow and you're safe. The camper who doesn't receive a marshmallow, their time is up and you must immediately leave the island."
Everyone seemed nervous for one reason or another as Chris held up the first marshmallow.
"The first marshmallow goes to... MK."
MK smiled as she caught her marshmallow in both her hands.
"Bowie"
"Julia"
"Nichelle"
"And... Harvey"
"Phew..." Harvey let out, relieved that his blunder didn't cost him his spot in the game.
"You are all safe. The rest of you all got at least 1 vote each."
Wayne then turned to his fellow hockey bro "Who'd you vote for, Raji?" he asked.
"You dawg! How about you?" he asked while pointing back
"You! Hope we win!" Wayne said, seemingly excited as they fist bumped. This confused Chris and most of the players.
"Seriously? You know you're supposed to vote for who you want to eliminate?" he specified.
"Oh that's our bad. Sorry coach." Wayne admitted, seemingly embarassed as many rolled their eyes. Chris shrugged in response as he grabbed two more marshmallows. "Not that it matters, you are both safe." he said as he chucked them to the bros.
"Campers, this is the last marshmallow of the night" he said as he looked at the duo. "Caleb, Emma. One of you is about to go home."
Emma gulped and stared down the marshmallow whilst Caleb simply sat there and looked on, relaxed and smiling.
"The last marshmallow goes to..."

"Emma!"
Emma looked relieved whilst Caleb's eyes widened and his body froze in place. "What?" he yelled.
Emma caught her marshmallow and started dancing. "Yes! In your face! Oh... sorry." she said in response, seemingly feeling bad about his position.
"Caleb, time to go." Caleb got up as Chris followed him out. Julia watched in shock and looked back at Nichelle who merely shrugged.
Caleb made his way down the dock with Chris following, still trying to wrap his head around his elimination.
"I don't get it, look at me, I thought everyone liked me. Why am I the one going home?" he asked before stopping at the end of the dock and turned around, fuming at the whole thing. "This is garbage! I should go back and give them a piece of my- woah!"
Caleb's rant was cut short as he was grabbed by the back of the shirt by the drone and taken off the island.
"Wasn't sure how that drone thing was gonna work out but... I like it!" The host admitted with a smile.
The others meanwhile were leaving whilst Bowie looked on with a smirk.
CONFESSIONAL: BOWIE
"Yeah... I might've managed to convince Harvey and MK that Caleb looked unbeatable and voting him off now might be our only chance." he bragged. "I told you, I came for the crown."
CONFESSIONAL: MK
"I personally thought he'd be happy with leaving. Not sure if being on this show any longer woulda helped his future modeling career." MK shrugged. Not feeling too bad about Caleb's departure.
"Even better, I'm now 20 bucks richer!" she cheered with her hands in the air.
"Well that wraps up our first episode of fun. Will Emma's petty feud with Chase seep in to future challenges? I sure hope so. And will Cassidy's and MK's secret alliance actually work out for them? How much of Millie's book will have been filled out at this point? What's in store for challenge number 2? That's for me to know and you to find out, on the next episode of Total Drama Island!" Chris said as the credits started scrolling.
VOTES.
Bowie - Caleb
Emma - Caleb
Harvey - Caleb
MK - Caleb
Caleb - Emma
Julia - Emma
Nichelle - Emma
Raj - Wayne
Wayne - Raj
18TH - CALEB
Yup, different writing, same outcome. Don't be surprised if that happens a bunch. Hope that ain't too much of an issue. I called it Deluxe for a reason. I tried to give Caleb more to do and add more of a story so his exit shook things up more (Bare in mind this was written before Season 2 even started coming out.) This is kinda like a trial run where I'm not too sure if I'll release the rest of the episodes as I like to see how the whole thing looks before I start releasing it in parts. But we'll see how this does I suppose.
And for those wondering about Survivor, I have plans for future episodes and seasons, it's more of a case of seeing those plans through since it'll take a lot of time and commitment and I'm hoping taking some time out writing a different story is the kinda break I needed. I'll try and get back on the Survivor bandwagon later in the year. Doing the same season for 3 years definitely means I need a change. I just wanted to release something as I really enjoy these kinds of stories.
Also this is the first time I'm writing something without the script format so if it seems a bit clunky, that's why. I prefer the script format just because it's easier but for this story, I'll try it this way to see if that'll improve it. But if you can, please let me know what you think. Is this a good start? Are there areas I should work on?
And we'll see if it takes another few months for me to update. Until next time, see you whenever!
