MADDIE'S KNOCKOUT
Maddie runs over to David who is lying in the corner of the boxing ring all bloodied and bruised,
MADDIE' "David, are you alright?"
DAVID" "Are we talking fun evening or what"
MADDIE: "Oh, baby" as she caresses his head.
Maddie's eyes glisten with tears as David tries to get up from the canvas of the ring to go back to the locker. She bends down to help him get to his feet by taking his arm and putting it around her shoulders. "Here David, lean on me", she says gently knowing he is in pain with every step he takes. She manages to get him to the American locker room where doctors check him out, bandage him up and give him some pain pills. "Stay off your feet and rest" the doctor tells David if you want to heal completely inside and out. "Thanks doc", David mumbles, half conscious, as they leave the auditorium.
Maddie manages to pile David into a taxi and gives the cab driver her address. On the ride to her house the pain pills start to take effect and David has his head on Maddie's shoulder chuckling about how great their "fun" date was and how they should always make sure terrorists were involved in their plans or the next time they go on a "fine" date they should definitely go to a Russian Ballet. Maddie smiles listening to his ramblings, just thankful he didn't get killed in that ring. When they arrive at Maddie's house the cab driver offers his assistance getting David to her front door.
Once inside, Maddie decides to get David into her bedroom and onto her bed. They struggle going up the stairs and at one point on the stairway David looks at Maddie and says "Where are we going?" "To bed" Maddie answers and David gives her a smirk and says, "Is this my reward for saving our country?" "Don't forget to wear that black nightie I liked". She ignores the remark and finally manages to get him into her bedroom and sit him on the edge of her bed. As she tries to take his shirt off David opens one eye and smiles at Maddie. He immideatly starts to reciprocate the gesture by unbuttoning her blouse. "No, No, David", she says, "You need to lie down and get some rest". "Okay" "As long as you rest with me" David replies as his head crashes into her chest. Maddie lays him down and removes his pants, leaving his boxers on and covers him with a blanket. David starts to snore and Maddie shakes her head thinking, "Two disastrious dates and somehow he ends up in my bed".
Maddie showers, puts on a nightgown and gets in bed next to David who has now turned onto his stomach still snoring. She lays on her back, staring up at the ceiling feeling many different emotions having David lying next to her in her bed, granted, he is out cold and snoring but still, he is THERE. "Why didn't I put him in my guest bedroom?" "What was I thinking?" The answer was clear, when it came to David Addison she was never sure what to do or what she really wanted. "I think I better get up and go to the other bedroom before he becomes aware of the situation" she thought, but before she could move David's leg crossed over hers and the minute she felt his skin on her she became aroused. Maddie stayed frozen to the spot on her side of the bed as David continued his onslaught. His arm stretched out and flopped onto her chest and she gasped as his hands cupped her breasts and tweaked her nipples. She shut her eyes, enjoying the sensation she was feeling, not knowing if David knew what he was doing. He then turned his face towards her but his eyes remained closed and he was mumbling in between his snoring. "I'd like a quick feel next time I go through all the trouble", she heard him say and realized at that moment he had no clue he was getting his wish as he spoke. Although David's fingers stopped playing with her nipples, his arm remained over her breasts and Maddie, to her surprise, liked having it there. "GET UP" her mind screamed and she moved slightly to slip out of the bed but David's arm moved from her chest to her waist and held her tight. "Where are you going?" he whispered with one eye open. "Stay here and help me feel better" and after uttering those comments fell back, once again, into a deep sleep. Maddie obliged and decided he was so out of it, he was truly harmless and besides, she liked the feel of him holding her.
Maddie woke up the next morning spooning David with her arm around his waist. He was holding her hand and she softly slipped it out of his grasp. Thankfully, he just kept snoring and let her hand go and she quickly got up and ran downstairs to make coffee. As she was waiting for the coffee to brew, her mind went back to the events of the night before and how much she enjoyed the feel of his hands on her body and she sighed, but the bigger question was, how much did he remember and how does she respond to him if he recalls what he did.
Maddie carried a tray with two coffee cups up to her bedroom and when she entered, David was awake and sitting up. "How do you feel?" she asked. "Are you in pain anywhere?" David winced and answered "I'll be alright". "It only hurts when I move". "Thanks for taking care of me last night". Maddie smiled and handed him a cup of coffee. "No problem, It was the least I could do". "I mean, you did try and stop an international incident" she quipped as she took a cup of coffee for herself and sat in the chair near her bed. Maddie was dying to know how much David remembered about them being in bed together. "You were so out of it, do you recall anything specific after I got you here?". "Not really". "I did have some wild dreams, though", David said. "Like what?" Maddie asked nervously, looking down. "Like things were flying out of control, and finally holding tight onto something for dear life before it flew away" and then David added in a silky voice, "Something I wanted for a long time to cling onto". Maddie slowly looked up and met David's eyes and smiled. David did, in fact, remember her lying next to him, holding her, but wasn't going to make her feel uncomfortable about it. He just hoped she knew at that moment that she was his lifeline, now and forever. That night, after taking David home, Maddie lied on her bed trying to sleep but realized for the first time, something, or more to the point, someone, was missing and secretly wished he was there holding tight once again.
David, on the other hand, fell asleep with a smile on his face.
