Chapter IX: The Eraser.
Last Time.
Once catching up, they saw the dolls attacking people before catching up to Vladimir. Alex then repelled out into the rocket and tricked him into taking his last toy doll and had it change him into a kid before forcing him to turn everyone back to normal.
Beverly Hills High School –11:10 AM.
"No way."
"Way."
Alex said as the girls walked out of the school, Clover now dressed in a business suit.
"Clover, did I really act like a kid?" Sam asks her.
"Only slightly more than usual." Clover then runs to Naruto who is sitting at a bench.
"Hi, Naruto. I have two tickets to the opera. Would you care to join me?
"Opera?" He blinked as he looked up from checking on his shooters. "Nah, too boring."
"But I thought you liked mature stuff? The other day at that mall."
"Just thought that woman looked mice." Naruto shrugged. "Doesn't mean I'm into that style."
"Nice outfit. PTA meeting?"
Clover bristled as Mandy walked by with a laugh. "You wanna go see a movie though?" Naruto asked as he stood. "Provided you change-!" He stopped as Clover disappeared leaving a dust cloud before reappearing in a denim skirt a pink top and strapped heels.
"Bein' mature is overrated anyway!" She says, pulling Naruto to his bike to go to the movies.
Now.
Bora-Bora –09:43 PM
A group of men in suits sat at a hut outside a resort while a man filmed them.
"Eh, eh, ahem, ladies and gentlemen, the Bora-Bora Resort Hotel is proud to welcome the recipients of the Achievements In Science Award. Enjoy your retreat." The man said to the camera as the cameraman walked over to him.
"Look!" One man pointed to the shore where pink blobs washed up.
"They're beautiful!"
"I've never seen anything like that!"
"It's a new species!"
The scientists all spoke before the blobs turned a dark purple and jumped up to attach to the heads of the group. They all screamed as electricity covered the blobs and the group's eyes glowed.
Later, they all woke up with no memories as the last blob went back into the water as periscope watched from the sea.
Beverly Hills High –10:35 AM.
"Don't forget, students, Monday is school picture day. Let's all try to look our best."
Naruto sighed as he was modeling wearing a pair of shorts for the art class as the girls were at the ceramics part on the other side of the room.
"I am so not ready for picture day!" Sam said as they made vases.
"Tell me about it! I totally don't know what to wear!" Clover said to her.
"Should I smile this year or go for the classic pout?" Alex asks doing said pout.
"Hello, pathetic wannabes."
Mandy walked in ad flipped her hair and stopped in front of the girls. "I'm getting my hair done by Maurice Maurice, the greatest stylist in the world. Only a master such as he can do justice to my beautiful locks!"
They all rolled their eyes before Mandy's hair got stuck in Clover's turning vase and screamed. "My hair! Help!" Sam got up turned Alex's table off and freed Mandy's hair. "Oh, thank goodness! Sam, you... you saved my life!"
"I saved your hair, Mandy." Sam deadpans before Mandy hugs her.
"My hair is my life! I am forever in your debt! From now on we are friends! I'll pick you up tonight to go to that new dance club, best friend." Mandy said as they changed and walked out to the cafeteria.
Naruto meanwhile walked to the bathroom to change. As he put his pants on, he was pulled through the mirror as the girls when Mandy wasn't looking pulled into the ceiling.
He then fell on the floor of Jerry's office. Standing he groaned as the girls gasped seeing him while Clover ogled him, the others closed their eyes and brought their hands to cover their blushing faces. Though they peaked through their fingers before Jerry cleared his throat. "Hello, spies!"
"That was perfect timing. Thanks, Jerry." Sam said to him
"You're welcome. I have something to show you. Ten of the world's top scientists were at a conference in Bora-Bora when something very odd happened." Jerry showed the [ink blob on a screen at that.
"Those are so cute!"
They turned to dark purple and the attack at that before Jerry continued. "Yes, well those cute gross blobs erased the scientists' memories completely. W.O.O.H.P. needs you to find out who is behind this and stop them. This could potentially have dangerous global ramifications. Now, let's get your equipment." He then showed them a scuba suit for each of them. "This is M.U.C.A. Multi-Use Cranium Apparatus."
"Everything you need to sustain yourself underwater."
"Cool, do you have one in fuchsia?" Alex asks as they walk to the suits Jerry shows boots, spear pistols, and a case holding red balls. "Nuclear Powered Jet Boots, for underwater propulsion. Waist Restrainers containing titanium grappling hooks, a repellent spear pistol, and infusion exploders."
"Naruto you'll have your web bomb, the drone, and impact webs." Jerry then pulled a suitcase and opened it to show a small lab. "And L.I.A.B. 9,000. Lab In A Briefcase" for on-the-spot analysis. And, you'll need to bone up on your marine biology." He said holding a book up.
"We have to study?" Clover asks blinking in disbelief.
"Last but not least, Super-cycles. Voice-activated." He showed them a motorcycle that was colored in their suits. Each cycle recognizes your own particular voice. Simple commands, such as "go", "faster", etc. You tell the bike what to do and it does it. Allow me to demonstrate. Start!" The bikes revved up at that before Clover got on hers. "There's no time to lose. You must leave right-"
"Wait! I can't go!" Clover stops him at that.
"Why not?"
"I left my new sunglasses at home." She replied as the others stared at her.
Clover's House –07:44 PM.
"You didn't expect me to go to a tropical island without my new sunglasses, did you?"
Clover asks putting her yellow sunglasses on.
"Come on, Clover!" Sam sighed from the window where a rope ladder was.
They got on before she stopped and closed the window as she heard Mandy. "Hey, girl! Ready to hit the dance club?"
"Uh, Mandy... I can't. I've got to visit my, my... Uh... Sick aunt."
"Ew! I hate sick aunts! But, OK, I can help. Any relative of yours is a relative of mine!" Mandy smiled as Sam started to sweat.
"No thanks. She's got...uh… Monkey-nucleosis. Very rare and very contagious. I wouldn't want you to get it. Gotta go!" Sam pushed her out and ran to the window, opened it, and got on the ladder.
Bora-Bora –02:00 PM
"Now, this is where the attack took place."
A man in a suit told Sam who was wearing a pink top with matching floral skirt and heeled sandals.
Alex was putting a towel down wearing an aqua blue tube top and matching skirt and heeled sandals.
Naruto who was wearing his swim trunks put lotion onto Clover's back as she wore an orange bikini. Before she smiled and turned around. "Could you get my front~?"
"We're working girls." Sam deadpanned as Alex laid on her stomach.
Clover sat up, took the lotion, and applied some to Alex's back. Naruto took a calming breath as Alex then turned to lay on her back and stretch her arms out. Blinking she then sat up and brought her left hand up to see dark purple goo on it. "OH! Ew! Blob juice!"
She started shaking her hands before Sam knelt. "Don't! That's evidence!" She took the blob into a test tube and put it in the L.I.A.B. between her legs. "Huh, the blobs aren't organic. They're man-made. Somebody manufactured these things! We'll send this to W.O.O.H.P. for further analysis. Now, let's check out those scientists."
Later that night they were in a room where the scientist walked in a daze not knowing anything at all. Suddenly, the blobs dropped from vents got together, and created a hologram of a man in shadows with blue eyes. "I will only say this once. One billion dollars must be left at Black Death Cove by tomorrow morning at dawn. If not, I promise you will regret it." He said before the blobs then went back to the vents.
"This is the most horrible thing I could ever imagine!" Clover said before Mandy in a sun hat and dress walked inside.
"Hey, Sam! Hello!"
"No, that is the most horrible thing you could ever imagine!" Sam sighed at that as Many walked up.
"What a totally amazing surprise! I needed to get a tan for the school pictures. I look like a mime! And this is my favorite tanning beach in the whole world! Where's Auntie Monkey-nucleosis?
"'Auntie' who?" Sam blinked before realizing her lie. "Oh, oh, yeah! She-she got better."
"Great! Now we don't have to take care of that cranky loon! We can hang out together cos that's what best friends are for, right? So, what exactly are you all doing here, Sam?" She asked before Naruto spoke.
"The hotel hired us to give dance lessons!"
The girls then got a scientist to start dancing as Mandy yawns.
"This is the lamest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Mandy needs her beauty sleep! Night, Sam. Meet me at the bazaar tomorrow morning. We'll go shopping. Just lose the losers. See ya!" She left as Alex looked at Sam.
"You better get rid of your friend!"
"She is not my friend!"
Black Death Cove –06:00 AM
Clover in her catsuit dropped a suitcase full of money on the beach before running to a boulder at a cave entrance where the others in their suits hid with Alex suntanning.
"OK, we wait here with the money till somebody shows up," Sam said looking through a binocular as Alex tilted her head towards them.
"Just let me know when the bad guys get here."
"The bad guys are here!" Sam spoke seeing two men in green uniforms walk up to the briefcase.
"What?" Alex got up to look as well. "Only two of them? This should be easy."
"Yeah, too easy," Sam said as the men grabbed the case and the four ran up.
The men saw them and then tossed the case up to a guy with a jetpack. He took it to a taxi that left before the spies got on their motorcycles and gave chase. The taxi had thrusters come out to go faster having the spies follow suit before he suddenly hit the brakes having the spies go past him as he went to the left down another road.
The spies turned and followed the taxi into town. Getting to a traffic jam, Sam got on a truck and looked before seeing the man. "There he is!"
She jumped over, only to get hit with a blob and sent into a nearby fountain. "Sam!"
"Sam!"
"Are you alright?"
The others ask running up before Mandy in her car stopped by them.
"Sam! I've been looking all over for you! Look at these fabulous things I got! I am going to look gorgeous in these!"
"W-who are you?" Sam asks as Alex gasps.
"She got blobbed!"
"'Blobbed'? Ew! What is going on?" Mandy asks as Naruto looks over.
"Sam just got hit on the head and now has amnesia…"
Later, the spies are in the resort talking to Jerry. "Jerry, Sam got hit by a blob and lost her memory!"
"Don't let her out of your sight. She's safest with you." Jerry replies as he types on a keyboard. "Listen, I have new information. We analyzed the blob residue and traced it to a man named Lester Crowley." He brings up a photo of a man in a janitor's uniform.
"A janitor?" Alex asks raising an eyebrow.
"Well, he was a janitor at The Brooks Marine Biology Institute. He wanted to be a scientist. He tried some experimenting on his own. At night he secretly worked on a cure for memory loss using sea creatures. He was discovered, fired, and arrested. He escaped, stealing millions of dollars worth of equipment. You need to find him. Fast! Good luck!"
Later, the four flew above the ocean just in front of the resort. "I wish someone would tell me what is going on!"
"OK. Your name is Sam," Alex said as Sam was riding with her.
"'Sam'? Am I a man?"
"No! You're a girl." Clover said as their helmets had their coverings drop and they started to drop in the water.
"You sure these are made for water landing?" Clover asks as they get in.
"Of course they are!"
They swam off the motorcycles and had jets come on the bottom of their boots having them start to propel forward. "Follow us, Sam," Naruto said as they came up to a building and went inside by blowing a hole in the door.
"The Lester Crowley Underwater Research Institute."
They all climbed into the vents and crawled to see Lester making, more blobs with guards. "That's our man!" Clover whispered before Lester turned to talk to his men.
"We will now implement the final phase. I will unleash my vengeance upon the world and then... utter chaos. I will hold the world's memories in my hand-"
"We have to sneak back out, get reinforcements, and then-" Alex stops as Sam opens the vent to yell out.
"Hey! You in the white coat! Do you know who I am?"
"Seize them!"
"Was that a bad thing to do?" Sam asks as Naruto drops down fires two tasers and has his drone fly up to start shocking the guards.
And had Sam drop on him before they were caught and toed up to go to the hangar with pods in front of them. "I think you'll enjoy a demonstration of the hatching process of my blobs, observe. After hatching, they search for the closest human brain and suck the memory out! I must go, but I do hope you enjoy the demonstration."
Lester then walks off at that as Sam looks at Naruto. "Is this like an initiation into a secret club or something?"
The building went up to the surface where Mandy, jet-skiing crashed into it and hit the blobs that came out of the pods away. "Ow! I can't believe I'm saying this but, thanks, Mandy.'" Alex said before Mandy came over to unhook the four.
"What is going on here?"
"Playing a game," Naruto said before Alex shot her grapnel up to the ship that left and the four grabbed it and were lifted.
"What about Mandy?" Clover asks before Alex looks at her.
"No time to worry about her. She's safe below and more importantly, she's not following us!"
They climbed up as they got close to New York City before Naruto shot the guards with tasers and had his drone watch them while he went up and knocked Lester out as Mandy walked up getting caught on the grapnel. He saw a scanner drop out before using it on Sam to hive, her memories back. "Heh, two missions in a row where you had your mind messed with Sam. Hope it's not a thing that'll keep happening."
Beverly Hills High –11:10 AM
The four spies sat on the bottom bleacher waiting for the others to come for their group pictures. Mandy walked in after getting her memories erased before sitting on the one behind them. The photographer took their pictures where the girls all hugged Naruto, and Clover from the back blocking Mandy from the shot.
"CHEESE!"
