Hiruzen Sarutobi wished he knew how it all began, but when it came to the issues between Danzō Shimura & Kenji he knew there would eventually be a violent outcome. Kenji was wearing Konoha's standard infantry clothing, a redesigned flak jacket, dark blue pants, and a short-sleeve white shirt. He also wears fingerless gloves with metal plates on the backhand of his right hand & his left hand is bandaged in chakra cloth from his fingers to his shoulder blade. The red armband on his left bicep & boots instead of normal shinobi sandals helped Kenji to stand out just as much as his skin of bronze clay that was almost never seen within the land of fire. Currently Danzo was strapped to a stretcher with multiple IVs running into his left arm. What was left of Danzō's right arm was cut into pieces on the council room floor. The pool of blood from Kenji ripping out his right eye while using a kunai to split the middle of his head open was just another sign of how dangerous Kenji truly is. All it took was 1 minute for Konohagakure's Anbu Chief to attack Danzō. This meeting was only supposed to be a chance for everyone to voice who they believed would be a good candidate to replace him as Hokage. He didn't expect Danzō to push so hard for Orochimaru nor did he expect the entire civilian council to agree with him. Konohagakure's council consisted of 20 shinobi clan heads, 20 civilians from various economic & business dealings within the Hidden Village, the 3 Hokage Advisors, the Hokage himself & Konohagakure's Anbu Chief. Between these 45 individuals the rules that govern the Villages military & civilian population was decided. Even though the Hokage has the final say as Konohagakure is a shinobi village Hiruzen always took into consideration the opinions of everyone within the council. While this made governing the Village more than difficult Hiruzen always tried to use this time of peace as a way to bridge the gap between the civilians & the shinobis even going so far as to make it easier for civilian children to join & graduate from the shinobi academy & join the ranks of the village's soldiers. Hiruzen was no fool, he knew that no civilian would ever understand what it meant to fight in a Shinobi War thus their opinions on some items meant nothing to him but the next leader of the village affected everyone. Danzō was well aware of the actions of Orochimaru as was all of the Shinobi Clan heads but the civilians were left unaware of the rumors of Orochimaru's experiments. Hiruzen knew that Orochimaru would never become Hokage, he knew that no matter how hard he pushed his former student to abandon his obsession with power & knowledge, the child he trained was no longer capable of simply "moving on". Orochimaru would continue down this path & soon even he would have to intervene. But Danzō knows this. He knew that Kenji was currently investigating Orochimaru's actions so why would he push so hard. Why take a man he knows stood toe to toe with both Hashirama Senju & Madara Uchiha & make yourself the target of his anger? "Orochimaru is a Sannin" stated Danzō "Not only that but he's the strongest of the three. This man has been hailed as a genius since birth." It was this small & almost unnoticeable moment that first caught the attention of every shinobi present, "He has a perfect record" stated Danzō with a small smirk on his face while looking at Kenji "& there is nothing anyone can say or prove that Orochimaru is not the best candidate for Hokage." In that instant Kenji moved, he was behind Danzō with his kunai drawn. Within the first 20 seconds Kenji cut Danzō's right arm off first severing his wrist as he past by him, then with a turn he cut off the limb right below the deltoid. With another practiced spin Kenji focused chakra into his pointer & middle finger ripping out Danzō's right eye the ramming the blunt end of the kunai between Danzō's eyes all within the 60 seconds he was moving. Luckily the Nara Clan head Shikachu was able to temporarily bind Kenji long enough for the Akimichi clan head Chozo to pull Kenji away. The Namikaze clan head Daiki used a standard space-time ninjutsu to get Danzō to Nola Hōki who was able to use fire ninjutsu culturize the areas with missing limbs & medical ninjutsu to heal the damage done by Kenji. Kenji spoke no words, not even as he mutilated Danzō. He knew what Danzō was attempting to do. Danzō was an avid supporter of Orochimaru & Kenji knew that he was the one covering for many of Orochimaru's actions. Kenji had 1 individual who was willing to provide all the proof he needed, but that shinobi was suddenly sent on a C Rank escort mission that turned into an A Rank massacre. He wasn't suppose to go, Kenji had him monitored by ANBU to make sure he was able to confirm his suspicions but Danzō pulled his team without notifying anyone. Hiruzen Sarutobi had admonished Danzō for over stepping & sending out a team without his permission & by the time Kenji made it to the meeting spot there was nothing but death. The bodies of the escort team & the civilians were left on the ground, no items were taken but the shinobi were brutalized. "No proof", Danzō saying that was a slap in Kenji's face & while Kenji had no proof that it was Danzō's fault, he would not let the snake take the seat.
