So far all of the new students' attempts to take on the student council members had ended terribly.
They were going easy on them by using their newer Pokémon and it was still an easy sweep for the student council members.
Cherry and Nashi had already been defeated and it would be Julianna's turn next.
"Next up Julianna, you'll be against Nemona"
Julianna swallowed thickly.
Of all people, it had to be Nemona.
"Hey, Julianna I get to battle you isn't that cool!" Nemona waived excitedly.
"You sure you want to go again right now?" Rinto asked "You just finished your last battle"
"Rinto don't be silly I'm always ready for a battle!"
"Shouldn't you ask Julianna what she thinks"
Nemona paused "Oh ya you ready Julianna you ready?"
"Sure let's get it started"
"Quaxly vamos!"
"Pawmi I choose you!"
Both trainers threw out their Tera Orbs creating a bright burst of light.
"Begin!" Dendra announced.
"Use Thunder Shock!" Pawmi let off a Thunder Shock the Terastillization causing it to crackle with electricity.
"Water Gun!" Quaxly's move was unable to overpower the Thunder Shock, which burst through the stream of water and shocked Quaxly.
"Now use Charge Beam!"
"Dodge it!"
Quaxly twirled around the beam of stored electricity.
"Use Charge Beam again!"
The two kept going like that but it was clear Quaxly couldn't keep going dodging everything forever.
"Water Gun again!"
"Dodge it with Agility!" Pawmi moved quickly around to avoid the Water Gun.
"Use Charge Beam again!"
With the speed boost, Pawmi was too fast to be dodged conventionally.
She would need to get creative.
"Water Gun on the ground!" Quaxly shoots the water on the ground propelling it through the air.
The water formed a jet around Quaxlys's body slamming into Pawmi sparks from the water Tera flying into the air.
Quaxly had just learned Aqua Jet.
The crowd roared in applause and Jair loved every second of it.
"Aqua Jet again!"
"Counter with Quick Attack!"
The two Pokémon traded priority moves, the boost from Tera gave Quaxly another strength to overpower Pawmi.
"Water Gun!" Quaxly pelted Pawmi well it was on the ground.
"Use Charge Beam!" the Charge Beam cut right through the Water Gun, Quaxly didn't have time to react and was struck directly.
Quaxly fell and fainted on the ground the Tera Crystal dissolved into a thousand tiny blue particles.
"That was impressive for your first battle" Nemona cheered.
"Oh thank you" Julianna chuckled.
"No, I'm serious I think that was the best performance I've seen all day"
"Everyone keep an eye on this one" Nemona announced "And because she's the young student that showed the most promise I want to give you this personally"
Pneumonia reached into her pocket and pulled out a Tera orb "This is for you, you've clearly proven you can handle this"
Julianna stared a gap at the small glowing orb in her hands.
Had she really done enough to get one from Nemona personally? But it wasn't like she could just say no in front of everyone.
The crowd cheered.
Julianna's face went red at the amount of attention she was getting.

"Alright, here they are" Rinto strolled over to the table Ash was sitting in the library.
"These are all the Oculture books that I have"
Ash flipped through the books and was flabbergasted.
They were full of a bunch of outlandish claims like UFO sightings, secret plots by secret organizations, and strange Pokémon.
"Wow this is some pretty crazy stuff" Ash stated in disbelief.
"I've never been sure about how true all of this stuff is but it's something I've enjoyed reading" Rinto replied.
"Well I don't know about all this alien and secret society stuff but I do believe that these Paradox Pokémon exist"
Rinto looked at him skeptically "Really what makes you think that?"
"Because I saw one with my own eyes" Ash flipped through the pages of the magazines until he found Great Tusk.
"This one here I saw it, it attacked me in The Great Crater"
"Why were you at the Great Crater?"
"Geeta's orders there were more of these Paradox Pokémon that sometimes get out of the crater"
"You swear this is all true?"
"Yup I wouldn't have a reason to lie"
Rinto's eyes lit up. "Yes, I knew it! I knew Rika wasn't Going out on a date." I knew there was more to that Crater than what they were letting on!"
"Hey keep it down would ya" Ash could feel the librarian's eyes burning into his soul even through the bookshelf.
"Sorry, sorry just got a little bit excited"
"You need to take me there" Rinto ordered.
"Wo now no can do" Ash replied.
"Why not?" Rinto deflated.
"I just told you I was attacked by this Great Tusk and there's way too many things that I don't know about what's down there for me to feel safe taking you there"
Ash was all for bending the rules but something like this was too dangerous to be getting other people involved.

Julianna had decided to get some late-night training in with Quaxly and Wooper.
Quaxly fired up from his last battle was very determined to train managing to learn another new move, Wing Attack his wing started glowing right and he slashed it across the dummy.
This was also the first time she had seen Woopers attacks.
Poison Sting, Mud Shot, and a move she didn't expect Toxic Spikes.
Wooper opened its mouth and a purple orb formed inside of it she then launched the orb which burst into many small purple spikes that layered the battlefield.
She made a note that it could be very useful in battles.
Her training was interrupted by a text from her friend Rinto.
Hey, I got something planned want to come?
Isin't curfew in 15 minutes
Privileges of being on the student council :)
Who else is gonna be there?
Those two you were hanging out with we'll be there and a couple of other kids

Sorry if it's taking too long to get to the meat of the story but I generally like to write long stories
