Chapter 16: Hell on a Hill

Hill Zone, Sark Dimension

Sonic and Amelia had hopped out of the ring to arrive at Hill, Sark's Green Hill Zone.

"Well, here we are. This is Hill." Amelia said.

"It looks like a normal Green Hill Zone to me." Sonic said.

"It does for the moment, but if we continue ahead, we'll run into Flickies that Sark has turned into his underlings. They may not seem it at first glance, but they are very dangerous." The dark pink hedgehog explained.

"Just like when we first met. Yeah, these guys don't play." Sonic added.

"Very true. Unfortunately, we'll have to head underground to the caverns to avoid the majority of them. Let's pray that we don't run into a huge amount of Flickies." Amelia added.

Sonic nodded as the two made their way toward the underground caverns. They did pass a few flickies, but had no issues due to the said animals only attacking in groups. They were just about in the home clear until a familiar laugh was heard.

"Sark!" Amelia yelled.

"Yes. So you two think you can retrieve the rest of your friends, do you?" Sark said.

"Yes, actually, we do. Enjoy my world while you can because I'm taking it back the first chance I get." Sonic told him.

"Oh, I will. In fact, I can't wait to see you try to take back your world. In the meantime, how about you enjoy MY world! I'm sure there are things here you'll love, I insist. They are to DIE for!"

Sark whistled and a huge mob of Flickies appeared.

"Oh, crap." Amelia gulped.

"I know you've already met the Flickies of my land, but you haven't fully met them yet, so why don't I introduce them to you. Get them!" Sark commanded as the mob rushed toward Sonic and Amelia.

"Run!" Amelia took off while Sonic stood his ground.

"Bring it on!" Sonic yelled as he spin dashed toward the fleet of crazy animals.

"Sonic, are you nuts? Oh, you beat them already." Amelia said.

"What the hell?" Sark said, surprised.

"Nothing to it." Sonic smiled, wiping his hands.

"Hmm, interesting. Well, Sonic, let's get you a new challenge, one that's a little more difficult." Sark snapped his fingers and all three vanished.
