AJ and Sara are waiting for him in London when he arrives, and he scoops his daughter up, spinning her around before leaning in to kiss AJ hello. "Flight go alright?"
"Yep," she says, brushing their daughter's shirt down. "She slept most of it." She grins as Mike makes faces at the baby, hoisting her up into the air and making puttering noises before settling her back into his arms securely. "So Marine 6, huh? Jake?" She smirks and Mike leans in, kissing her.
"Yep. Mind maybe spending Christmas in London?"
"Uh, let me think about this for a minute," AJ says. They pause, staring at each other for a moment, before she laughs and grips his hand. "No I don't mind! Come on!"
It's not Vancouver, and he's a little disappointed about that, wanting to bring Sara here when she was a little early, showing her where he and AJ left their love-lock, and the park where they'd spent so much time, the hotel that had been the site of their honeymoon. But still, London has its own vibe, a sense that's so different from LA that he thinks this may become another of their places, somewhere special that they can claim as part of their journey as a family.
He waves a taxi down and they throw their bags inside before getting in and directing the driver to their hotel for the next few weeks. It's gorgeous and tall, well-lit and all around perfect. AJ hums and looks up at it, resting her head on her husband's shoulder. "You always get us into the best places with your acting ability," she says with a small smile, following him into the building once they've paid the taxi driver and collected their things.
Getting their room keys takes only a few moments, Mike only needing to sign since their room's already paid for by the movie crew. He then guides his girls upstairs, AJ immediately settling Sara into her crib before sacking out on the king-sized bed, stretching out and still not taking up the whole mattress. Mike chuckles and pulls her shoes off, tickling her lightly, before ducking into the bathroom to splash water on his face and brush his teeth. He then collapses into bed next to her and falls asleep almost immediately, having an early morning to get settled, start reading lines. Becky Lynch and Shawn Michaels are around here somewhere, he imagines, but it's not at the top of his list of things to be concerned about as he wraps an arm around AJ and hums sleepily, enjoying the peaceful thought of getting to share a bed with his wife for a few weeks in a row, spending more time with Sara than he's managed in the last few weeks.
AJ laughs when he's told that they're going to give him a haircut, but it's definitely worth it. He has to admit he'd been letting himself go, getting a bit burnt out in wrestling. This break will be nice, starting with this trim as they shorten his hair and then layer it so it looks fuller and shinier on top. "Now I'm Jake officially," he says, looking at himself in the mirror.
"Damn straight you are," AJ tells him, running her fingers through his hair before kissing him warmly. "I like it."
He smirks and squeezes her before standing up, kissing her properly. "Meet you for dinner after we go through a few scenes?"
She pouts but leans up and kisses him again. "Alright. I'll go shopping with our daughter, I guess." He looks fearful for a minute and she laughs. "Come on, Mike. It's me. I'll probably be buying mostly books." This does relax him a little and she leans up to kiss him a third time. "Have fun getting back into Jake's head. See you later, husband."
"See you," he sighs, watching her go, before turning to the people scattered around, watching. "Alright, guys. Let's get this party started."
