Randy: Nothing says perfection the creating robots who can think on their own and try to destroy their intended nemesis, don't ya think? He's Adam, that's Nakano and I'm Randy.
Adam: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win... a DEATH BATTLE.
The Age of Ultron begins in DEATH BATTLE

Adam: Hank Pym was a founding member of the Avengers, the creator of the revolutionary Pym Particles, and designated Scientist Supreme by Eternity. He was also the "father" of one of the greatest mass murderers in the universe.
Randy: Guess which one he's most remembered for?
Nakano: Eager to push the boundaries of science, Hank constructed an artificial intelligence which could learn and evolve on its own, modeling it on his own brain patterns.
Randy: Just one problem: Hank wasn't in the right of mind back then and just a few years from going full-on Looney Tunes.
Nakano: Maybe not the best time to base an A.I. off your mind, but still, Hank's project was a success. Ultron had been born.
He grabs Black Panther and zaps him.
Ultron: Your destruction is inevitable.
Wiz: But since Ultron's consciousness was based off Hank's struggling bipolar one, he inherited his creator's issues, and magnified them into absurdity. With a new thirst for power, coupled with a severe inferiority complex, Ultron escaped the lab, bent on destroying his father... the Avengers, and... basically all organic life.
Randy:... Would it hurt for them to just get an appointment for a therapist?

Nakano: Ultron first made a new body out of a durable metal called Adamantium, the same stuff Wolverine has one his claws. But in order to move, he uses a Molecular Rearranger which allows him to shape and form his body at will as well as repair any damage he takes. In addition, he's got the ability to siphon energy, form blades an explosions from his body, jet boosters to fly and a fusion reactor to boot.
Popup: Ultron has the Ultron Virus, which can infect both other robotic or organic beings with a simple touch, assimilating their minds into his.
Randy: He can control any technology he comes into contact with. He can fire energy beams from his hands, eyes and mouth as well as create forcefields. He also has an Encephalo-beam which can put his enemies into a coma, erase memories, read and control minds or even one-shot other robots. And since Ultron is technically an AI, he doesn't rely on one body.
Adam: He can put his consciousness into another body and boy does he have a lot of them, like the giant Ultron-7, Ultron-20, or even Ultron-19, who resembles The Wasp Janet Van Dyne, don't ask us why. And while many of them are weak compared to his own body, he can use them as an army as he commands.

Hank even admitted that Ultron is smarter than him and this is the same guy who was dubbed "Scientist Supreme" by the abstract being Eternity. He also assimilated the Phalanx to conquer the entire Kree Empire, which spans an area as big as the Magellanic Cloud, a real-life satellite galaxy made of a thousand planets across 14,000 lightyears, in just a few hours.
Nakano: And he's battled and overpowered many Avengers at once multiple times. That includes Thor, Scarlet Witch, Hulk and Hercules who possess universe, no, multiverse levels of power. Ultron could even tank hits from Mjolnir several times and we're talking about a hammer that's harboring a cosmic storm-shaped god inside.
Adam: In Ultron Forever, one of the two timelines where he's conquered the world, Ultron even killed Odin to become the All-Father and brought both Earth and Asgard under his rule. And during the Heroic Age event, Ultron took on the warlord Kang who built various teams of heroes and villains to battle him. Yet not only has Ultron been able to tank their attacks and beat them back, but consequently, the universe was collapsing from how many times from his continuous time travels. The only reason Ultron lost because he chose to.

He even self-destructed once after reading the phrase "thou shalt not kill" since he inherited Hank's insecurities. And many of his creations like Vision and Jocasta ended up defecting to the Avengers.
Nakano: Not to mention his insides aren't made of Adamantium and more vulnerable, like how The Human Torch's flames and Scarlet Witch's chaos magic can directly attack his internal organs. But even his own Adamantium body far from invincible. Anti-metals like Antarctic Vibranium renders it vulnerable and it can be dented with enough brute force like hot Thor and Hulk did.
Randy: But no matter how many times Ultron has been destroyed or contained, he'll always be back, ready to recreate the universe in his own image.
Ultron: I am the summit of perfection in this universe!
Metal Sonic Maximum Overdrives on DEATH BATTLE
(Vs. Metal Sonic (Stardust Speedway Bad Future JP) - Sonic Generations [OST])
Nakano: Doctor Eggman was a genius with a dream. A dream of a world ruled by his own iron fist. However, there was just one small problem. A speedy blue problem.
Randy: Sonic the Hedgehog. He's the fastest thing alive~!
Adam: *clears throat* No matter how many times Eggman tried taking over the world, this Freedom Fighter just kept getting in his way.
Nakano: But like any respectable scientist, Eggman was a problem solver. Thus, he developed the ultimate hedgehog killer, a machine which would not just equal his speedy nemesis, but surpass him.
Randy: And Doctor Tubby called his greatest creation... Metal Sonic. It's even got a sweet chest speaker to blast Slayer all day long.
Adam: Speaker? What? No, no, no, he's just made of metal.
Randy: Oh. That's cool, too.
Nakano: To contend with his cool blue rival, Metal Sonic was built to reach and maintain incredible speeds. And unlike most of his wacky inventions, Eggman actually got this one perfect.

Maximum Overdrive where his speed doubles and able to power through most obstacles, the Black Shield is nearly impenetrable and can fires laser from his chest with his Plasma Pulse Attack. Then there's his Copycat ability, were he can use the techniques from those he scans.
Randy: From Shadow's infamous Chaos Control and Chaos Spear to Silver's ESP, almost nothing is off the limits to what he can copy. Then he's got his Neo Metal form which amplifies his powers further and more so with Metal Overlord, a form he got when he rebelled against Eggman to seek world domination on his own with an bigger and stronger version named Master Overlord.
Nakano: But even those pale in comparison when he gets his hands on either all 7 Chaos Emeralds or a Master Emerald, in which he becomes Super Neo Metal Sonic! Just one Chaos Emerald can shift continents, but all seven can break the universe! Granted, the form only lasts a minute without Power Rings, but it gives the one using it a massive boost in power and gives thoughts reality.

Nakano: He's easily one of the blue blur's toughest foes. Metal Spnic has dodged attacks from Knuckles, Amy Rose and Espio at the same time. He's fought Sonic multiple times and overpowered and outsped him on several occasions and during of the their fights, they caused a huge chunk of stone from a mountain to dislodge. Hebested Silver after using Chaos Emerald to shut down his psychic powers and his Black Shield is tough enough to withstand Shadow's Chaos Spears.
Adam: And with the copied data from Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, Team Chaotix, and Chaos, Metal gained enough power to become Metal Overlord. Metal Overlord is so powerful, that it required the combination of Super Sonic along with Tails and Knuckles to take him down. And Super Sonic has competed with equally powerful threats like Perfect Chaos, Time Eater and Dark Gaia.
Randy: Not just that. Remember those Chaos Emeralds? It took Supers Sonic, Silver and Shadow to teaming up to beat Solaris, a entity that threatened the entire multiverse by trying to consume time itself. Meaning Super Neo Metal Sonic is likely in the same ballpark of power.

Nakano: But while he's definitely one of Sonic's most formidable foes, the copycat is no stranger to faults. Moves like V. Maximum Overdrive and Ring Spark Field risks permanent damage if used for too long and while he can copy abilities, he can't use all of them to their greatest potential.
Randy: What's more, Metal Sonic is designed specifically to combat Sonic. While he has fought foes who're not the blue blur or someone who resembles Sonic, like say Silver or Shadow, this had led to bite him in the metal ass. And even then Sonic defeated his robotic clone multiple times.
Adam: Still, you can't deny that he's one of Eggman's most successful creations. No matter many times he's failed, Metal will doing anything to destroy Sonic once and for all, even if it meant rebelling against his creator to do so.

Adam: All right, the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all.
Adam, Nakano and Randy: It's time... For a DEATH BATTLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Shadow: D-Damn you...
The Ultimate Lifeform muttered before collapsing on the floor. Littered across it were Tails, Knuckles, Silver, Blaze, Rouge and Amy who were all defeated by Ultron, who held an unconscious Sonic the Hedgehog by the throat.
Ultron: Hmph, you are nothing more than bugs waiting to be squashed.
Ultron's eyes and mouth glow crimson red as he prepares to kill the hedgehog once and for all. But just before he's about to fire, something similarly blue slams into him, causing him to drop Sonic as he and the unknown assailant fell to the next segment.
When Ultron recovers, he sees a robot that resembles Sonic, only more meaner: Metal Sonic.
Metal: If there's anyone who will destroy my faker, it will be me and me only!
Ultron: Then you will die!
Metal Sonic then begins to charge up a Spin Dash as Ultron begins charging his energy attacks.
FIGHT!
Metal Sonic spins towards Ultron and avoids an energy beam in the process. Metal Sonic then leaps in air and fires a chest laser at Ultron, who takes it out with his own laser via his mouth
Ultron activates his wrist mounted laser guns and began firing lasers at Metal Sonic, who activated the Black Shield and blocked the energy beams. Metal Sonic performs the V. Maximum Overdrive and flies towards Ultron, which hits the robotic villain and sends him flying backwards.
Metal Sonic rushes up to Ultron and starts comboing him with punches and kicks before performing the Knuckle Slam, which stuns Ultron. Metal Sonic then performs another Spin Dash, but this time, Ultron catches Metal Sonic while he's spinning and punts him, sending Sonic's robotic doppelganger away.
Ultron: Die you waste of scrap metal!
Ultron shoots multiple energy blasts at Metal, who uses Black Shield to block them. Metal then uses Silver's telekinesis ability to lift multiple blocks and throw them at Ultron, who destroys them with energy blasts. Ultron then rushes up to Metal and starts attacking him with punches and kicks, before grabbing Metal and slamming him into a wall.
Metal hops on top of a platform and transforms into Titan Metal Sonic. The giant robot then tries to slash Ultron with his claws. Ultron dodges the first one, then grabs the second one and rips it off Metal's arm. Metal then shoots a laser beam from his eyes, but Ultron absorbs it and fires a laser beam from his eyes, which causes Titan Metal Sonic to lose his other arm.
Metal shapeshifts into Neo Metal Sonic and fires a lightning bolt at Ultron, which stuns him. Metal Sonic then rushes up to Ultron and starts rapidly Homing Attacking him over and over, before firing Ultron's Concussion Blast at Ultron, who absorbs it. Metal shoots more lightning at Ultron, but Ultron absorbs it.
Metal, seeing that his Neo Metal form is not working, proceeds to transform into Metal Overlord.
Metal Overlord: ROOOOAAARRR!
Metal Overlord grabs a chunk of Stardust Speedway and throws it at Ultron, who activates his jet boosters and flies off the road. Metal Overlord sees Ultron and starts firing crystals at him, which all hit Ultron and severely damage his armor. Metal Sonic then grabs an airship and throws it at Ultron, who dodges.
Metal Overlord: All living beings will kneel before me!
Ultron: No, they shall all bow to me!
Ultron then flies up to Metal Overlord's chest and starts blasting him with his Encephalo-beam, does serious damage to the mechanical monstrosity. Metal Overlord uses one of his arms to swat Ultron backwards. Ultron continues to fire laser blasts at him, but Metal uses Shadow's Chaos Control and stops time. While time was stopped, Metal grabbed Ultron and rammed him into the ground multiple times.
Time then continues as Ultron is thrown into across the battlefield, but remarkably, his body remains intact. Metal Overlord fires more crystals at Ultron, who fires his Encephalo-beam to destroy them. But before he can attack again, multiple Ultron Sentries descends from above and began to cover Metal Overlord.
He roars and swats them away, but there are way too many and he was being overwhelmed. Ultron watches from above and scoffs. He is about to turn his back before a bright golden flash followed by an explosion caught his attention and sees Metal SOnic transform into Super Neo Metal Sonic.
Super Neo Metal Sonic: I'll crush you!
He flies forward and rams Ultron via Spin Dash. Ultron fires another Encephalo-beam, but Super Neo Metal Chaos Control to teleport behind Ultron and attacked him via Knuckle Slam. Then, copying Ultron's abilities, fires his own Encephalo-beam straight into Ultron, sending crashing into the floor. Before Ultron could get up, Super Neo Metal fires thousands of Chaos Spears at Ultron while unleashing another copied Encephalo-beam.
By the time he was done, Ultron is badly damaged, several circuits exposed and half his face destroyed. Super Neo Metal grabs Ultron by the throat, and channels another energy blast on his free hand.
Super Neo Metal: Any last words?
Ultron didn't answer. Instead, Super Neo Metal is surprised when Ultron suddenly power down. But then, Super Neo Metal grabs his head in pain as he feels something taking over his mind. It was Ultron's AI hacking into him.
Super Neo Metal Sonic: N-No!
Try as he might, he was eventually overwhelmed by the AI and self-destructs, causing a huge explosion. When the smokes, Ultron is seen online with 7 Chaos Emeralds floating around him.
Ultron: Interesting items. Perhaps they shall serve me well.
KO!
Ultron flies off with the Chaos Emeralds in tow.
Metal Sonic's body parts are scattered across the battlefield, his red eyes going out.
Results

Randy: Oof. Tough luck Eggman.
Nakano: While Metal Sonic could copy Ultron's abilities and his Metal Overlord form gives him the size advantage, that's pretty much the only thing Metal has going for him. Ultron was just way too much. Base Metal had nothing in his arsenal that can even come close to denting Ultron's Adamantium body given he can withstand hits from Thor's Mjolnir. And while Metal Sonic could fight Super Sonic, that's only at his Metal Overlord state.
Popup: Unlike the Metal Virus Eggman created, which only infects organic beings, the Ultron Virus is capable of infecting robots. Even the godlike Eternals fell victim to the Ultron Virus.
Adam: And Ultron could fight Ant-Man, who can grow big enough to enter the Overspace, which transcends infinite universes, timelines and more. So Overlord is simply nothing new. Metal Sonic could match Sonic outrunning that black hole, but Thor could travel the universe in under a minute. Also what's stopping Ultron from just using the encephalo-beam to one-shot Metal given it's ability to put down other robots like Vision before?
Randy: Sure he can copy that shit too, but really, how's he gonna replicate Ultron's ability to create explosions without killing himself? Ultron's molecular re-arranger allows him to mold his body in any shape while Metal doesn't have anything similar to that. But wait, what about the Chaos Emeralds and Super Neo Metal Sonic?
Nakano: The Chaos Emerald scales to Solaris, who threatened the multiverse with his power. This is similar to how Ultron could fight powerhouses like Thor and Hulk. Seems equal no?
Adam: The big difference is Ultron could contend with the strongest heroes in his multiverse in base form, something Metal could only do in either as Metal Overlord or Super Neo Metal Sonic. Not to mention that the Marvel multiverse is much bigger than the Sonic's. It doesn't help that Super forms have a time limit while Ultron doesn't have the same limitations. And really, there was nothing Metal Sonic could do to stop Ultron from simply controlling him with his technoforming ability. If he uses that to conquer an entire techno-organic race and conquer an empire spanning a galaxy, then Metal's good as dead.
Randy: Hell, in one future timeline, Ultron took Odin's power for himself and became the All-Father. Way beyond what the Chaos Emeralds can accomplish. And while there's Archie Comics, not only is that a different continuity from the games, but believe or not, Archie Metal is way weaker.
Nakano: While Metal Sonic could keep up with base Archie Sonic, who has displayed insane speed feats, he really doesn't have any notable strength feats apart form beating Shard, who is the very first Metal Sonic. And Metal has been destroyed more times than not in the comics compared to his game counterpart.
Randy: The final nail in the coffin is that Ultron is much more smarter. Both are created by very brilliant scientists in the form of Hank Pym and Eggman. However, Metal does not possess the same intelligence as his creator whereas Hank admitted Ultron surpassed him.
Nakano: Metal Sonic's no pushover. But Ultron simply had the stats, versatility and intelligence to overcome Sonic's metallic doppleganger.
Randy: You could say the Age of Ultron begins after turning Eggman's creation into scrap Metal.
Adam: The winner is Ultron.

* The connections between Ultron and Metal Sonic is that both are antagonistic advanced robots who are created by one of the most brilliant scientists in (Ant-Man/ Hank Pym and Doctor Eggman respectively) in the hopes of reaching their goals (Hank modelled Ultron after his own mind to create an AI that can learn and adapt on its own, while Eggman made Metal to surpass and destroy his rival Sonic the Hedgehog)
* Both have rebelled against their creators. The contrast is that Eggman is able to reign Metal in at times while Ultron is completely free from Hank's control and acts independently
* Both also have numerous forms in which one is a giant (Ultron-7 and Metal Overlord respectively) and another is colored gold with magical or god-like powers (All-Father Ultron and Super Neo Metal Sonic)
