Lincoln struggled in the embrace of who he could tell was Charlie's mother and the queen of all of Hell herself; the being who despite her youthful appearance can he considered his grandmother.
Lincoln looked amused and Luna muttered out "no kidding..."
Vaggie put her hand in Charlie's hand and Charlie herself saw that her mother was expecting her to say more.
"Sorry Mum... I really did plan on letting you know... At some point... But you were on your vacation and I didn't want to disturb..." Charlie told Lilith struggling with words as Lilith gave her a look.
"Charlie darling; I would gladly end any vacation I am on if the news was something like you had become a mother. I would leave a rebuilt Garden of Eden for that news; I would leave Heaven..." Lilith said as Vaggie coughed coming up to Lilith. "Vaggie; aren't you? Charlie loves to gush about you in her messages." Lilith said with a smile as Charlie's eyes widened.
"First time meeting your girlfriend's mother?" Lori asked as Vaggie nodded; Lori thought about what it felt like meeting Maria Santiago.
"You listened Mum..." Charlie asked as Lilith sighed.
"I am not one for replies dear but I do listen; just like I heard when you sent me that message about you opening this place up... Rehabilitating sinners... The damned vermin you are still trying to help..." Lilith then replied as Vaggie glared at her with Lincoln taking notice and Charlie frowned.
Sibella, Emily and the Louds frowned; "Try living in the Pentagram for 10 thousand years and disrespected by the locals despite being queen of the whole plane of existence and see if you have a high opinion of the sinners after that..." Lilith then spoke out and Vaggie looked her way.
"Still; you didn't have to insult her dreams like that..." Vaggie said as Lilith grinned at her.
"Still a fiery one Vaggie..." Lilith said as Lucifer nodded with Lincoln frowning as well; he then remembered what ended up happening in this meeting...
"Don't take it personally Vaggie as I am sure that you are a lovely girl..." Lilith said as Vaggie shook her head.
"Well changing the subject of you insulting your daughter's dreams like that... Maybe you can put Lincoln down and he could get his breakfast?" Vaggie pointed out as Lilith nodded and put Lincoln down as Vaggie came to show the dazed Lincoln back to the lobby.
"You can join us Mum..." Charlie offered showing her a hand as Lilith simply followed them to the seats at the TV and Lincoln sat down at the breakfast for him. Lilith as she walked looked around her and came to look at her daughter.
"Was so impressed how much you copied the look of the interiors of our manor." Lilith said as Charlie nodded despite knowing how run down it still was at the time...
"I see that you copied our home's designs for the interiors... Not too bad but it could do with a little makeover Charlie dear..." Lilith then said as Charlie smiled but then Lilith came to look at Vaggie. "Please tell me about yourself Vaggie; how were you like as a human?" Lilith asked as Vaggie almost jumped and had a little bit of a panic as Charlie frowned with Lincoln watching intently.
"Great... This again..." Vaggie groaned as the Louds gave her looks.
Vaggie looked at Lincoln and carefully chose her words and said "this... Isn't related to how Charlie and I met before you get any ideas when I explain... As a human... I worked on the streets..."
The older Louds and Emily blinked at this; "So you were a street performer? Isn't that cool Luan?" Lana asked with a smile as Vaggie looked away and Lana and the younger Louds including Lincoln were confused.
"So that's why she spoke up for her earlier..." Rita muttered to Lynn Sr who gave a nod.
"No shame in that Vaggie..." Angel Dust then told Vaggie who nodded.
Lincoln looked on in confusion as Lilith just nodded.
"Don't worry; I wouldn't assume and I won't judge... So did you get roped into Charlie's little project?" Lilith asked as Vaggie raised an eyebrow.
"I got roped into into nothing... I volunteered to help Charlie through this to achieve her goals." Vaggie said intently as Lilith sighed with a smile as she faced Charlie.
Lincoln sighed frowning; "You didn't have to talk like that..." Emily muttered frowning herself as Lilith sighed.
"Come on... It's not maliciousness from my parents when they don't believe in the goal..." Charlie said trying to change the mood causing the Morningstar couple to sigh.
"So wonderful that you found a girl that is willing to waste both of your times together trying to do something as fruitless as redeeming those sinners... Again; no offence Vaggie..." Lilith then said as Vaggie grew angry as Charlie gave a sad sigh.
"What is your fucking problem?" Vaggie asked as as Lincoln was going over what Lilith was saying and the look on Charlie's face. He began thinking to himself.
"Remember who you are and who you are speaking to; a subject and her queen... Plus why wouldn't it be my problem if my daughter was choosing to waste her time trying to help those that don't respect her and doesn't realise even if she can make a sinner a better person... Those snobs in Heaven won't hear a word for it so it's doomed for failure..." Lilith then explained as Lincoln was practically jumping.
Lincoln braced himself and the Louds and Emily thought about how Lilith talked to Vaggie about her daughter's dreams.
"It's tough love... We have one of those angels here and I know she doesn't think much of Charlie's plans..." Lilith thundered and Sera was silent with Emily shaking her head.
"Do you have to be like that?" Lincoln asked suddenly as Charlie and Vaggie looked at her.
"Lincoln dear... I am afraid to have to let you know but Charlie isn't looked positively by most of the population... My Charlie is a darling; don't get me wrong but her good qualities don't appeal to the sinners who are selfish violent monsters... They don't respect her or her title...Not just her; they don't pay respect to me their queen... They don't even have respect for Lucifer's title; they follow him and watch themselves because they are terrified of him and know that he could make them suffer without even trying." Lilith said firmly as Lincoln just continued staring at Lilith.
"Yeah... It's fear that keeps them in line... Not just the sinners but most of Hell as well..." Lucifer then said.
"Still; the way you said it..." Lincoln said with a glance towards Lilith.
"Sorry Lincoln but yeah... They have their good sides hidden but I want to give them the chance to open up and be better people..." Charlie said as Lilith just sighed which Lincoln found condescending.
Lilith frowned; she didn't mean it like that...
He found feelings growing within him and he roared out "even if you think that she is choosing a hopeless dream... You don't have to be so judgemental and dismiss her dreams so uncarefully! How do you think she feels to hear this; is this because you wish that she was different?"
"Woah Stinklyn... Where did this come from..." Lynn Jr muttered as the Louds jumped at hearing what Lincoln said to the literal queen of Hell; Lincoln was just silent looking away as Charlie and Vaggie pulled him close while giving them looks which just made them confused. Lucifer and Lilith shook their heads.
Lincoln had stood up looking angry and let out a surge of dark magical energy that turned the TV on and he now was standing with his skin changing to the white color of the day before with the rosy red cheeks. They were all staring at him and he jumped and looked at himself shocked.
The Louds blinked at this; "This would have been a sight..." Sibella said with a smirk and Alastor thought that this did sound impressive from the new prince and even Husk was amazed.
"I did this again and now... Wait..." Lincoln said as he tried to calm himself and tried to focus on changing to look as a human again. Charlie was in awe as Lilith stared.
"Wow Lincoln... I haven't taught you anything about magic yet and you seemed to be able to figure out on your own how to shift between forms." Charlie said with pride as Lilith looked down at Lincoln.
Charlie then nodded smiling at Lincoln who looked flattered.
"About what I just said... Sorry..." Lincoln said as Lilith...
The Louds gulped in fear...
Started laughing as she ruffled his hair.
Fear turned to confusion.
"You look adorable in your new form Lincoln dear; really looking like Charlie's child and the fire... You too Vaggie... I'm impressed as I think that the apple didn't fall from the tree in regards to Charlie... Them both finding strong willed women with fire to fall for even if I do say so myself..." Lilith then said with a smirk.
Lucifer got looks; "What? The Mrs speaks the truth..." Lucifer said as Lilith smirked.
"I can't wait to get to know you some more Lincoln and spoil you rotten. Please call me 'grandma' and Vaggie; feel free to just call me 'Lilith'..." Lilith said making some papers appear in her hands. "Here you go; your father asked me to deliver these personally when he found out what I planned to do... Lincoln is legally your ward... I can't say the same in his human world but your father and I have been running Hell longer than the human courts were ever a thing so I don't think that they can overrule this..." Lilith then said getting up to give the papers to Charlie.
"You can do that..." Lori asked as the Louds stared at Lilith with Lucifer snorting while nodding.
"Wait... They better not be thinking about keeping Lincoln with them in Hell..." the Louds thought in their heads.
"Wow; thank you Mum. Please feel free to visit any time and please say so to Dad... I want him to meet Lincoln as well..." Charlie said as Lilith smirked which made them pause.
"You may hear the news soon but your father... Has already scheduled a party to show his new grandson to Hell's elite. Please don't fight us on this but we really must insist on you coming. He wants to show off his daughter and her new child after all plus her consort..." Lilith then said as Charlie and Vaggie stared at her with Lincoln being surprised.
"That's where we met..." Sibella said smiling to Lincoln who nodded.
"So you're part of Hell's elite?" Lucy asked as Sibella smirked with a giggle.
"Something like that..." SIbella said as Lincoln could just imagine Lucy's reaction...
"We were hoping to have Lincoln settle in and start to help him adapt to his new environment" Charlie said as Lilith got up.
"Well help him see how Hell is like. Nice meeting you Vaggie and Lincoln. Please give my number over." Lilith said getting up and waving to them as she went to the door.
"Great... We are making this complicated than it is... Should have Lincoln stay close to us as Hell's elite can be... Well... OH NO! Dad will invite the Von Eldritch's and..." Charlie sighed and then looked in a panic.
"Family friends..." Lucifer explained as Charlie, Vaggie and Lincoln cringed at the reminder of the party and what happened...
"What's wrong?" Lori asked as Charlie sighed.
"One of their children is Charlie's ex Seviathan..." Vaggie explained as they started to understand.
"And his sister... I HATE HER..." Charlie snapped surprising the Louds and Emily that she was acting like that.
"It's warranted..." Lincoln muttered remembering the brief amount of time that he had the displeasure of seeing her in person.
"If Helsa starts something... I can't stop myself from making a bad example for Lincoln..." Charlie groaned holding her head as Lincoln frowned.
"It did happen..." Charlie whispered and the Louds imagined what must have happened at this party.
"About my outburst earlier... I am sorry and..." Lincoln said as Vaggie looked at Lincoln with a frown.
"I can't help but wonder... If there was something personal in what you were saying... I was going into defence for Charlie but how strongly you said... Don't say anything if you don't feel comfortable but..." Vaggie said as Lincoln sighed.
Lincoln groaned and looked away from the Louds who began to stare at him.
He wanted to stay silent and not speak ill off his family but with them looking at him and the feelings from his outburst; wanting to get them off his chest...
"Huh?" the Louds asked.
"At home... I like a lot of things like comic books, video games and... Well... My sisters don't really think too highly of my interests... They can be quite dismissive at best but some of them like to make fun of me for it... Plus they all have their talents and I feel that I am plain... They have won trophies and I haven't... Pus I think that my parents don't think highly of my interests either..." Lincoln admitted as Charlie and Vaggie were speechless at this.
The Louds stared at this; "Come on son... It's not that bad... Not like you are some sort of black sheep for the family..." Lynn Sr said as Lincoln kept looking away and the Louds didn't think it was this bad. Rita was speechless at the last thing Lincoln said. Sibella, Angel Dust, Sera, Emily and even Alastor looked at him in sympathy while his Hell parents pulled him closer.
"He actually is..." Emily admitted with a sigh as they looked at this.
"How would you know?" Lori demanded as Sera snorted.
"We're Heaven and I'm the head seraphim and in the elder council... We have files on EVERY human living. so so could we not?" Sera retorted shaking her head causing Lori and her family to be speechless.
"I am sure that they don't..." Charlie said trying to reassure as Lincoln sighed.
"My sisters made fun of the not too good mugs that I made for our parents as gifts and from them I found out that they kept them up in the attic... In a box saying not to touch..." Lincoln said as they were speechless and open mouthed.
"WHAT?" Sibella asked out loud as the Loud parents with guilty looks on their faces looked down and the sisters looked uncomfortable.
"Fuck... Just fuck..." Angel Dust whispered hearing this again.
Charlie then enveloped Lincoln into a hug and Vaggie then joined in. There was Angel Dust coming down the stairs and watched the whole thing and frowned at the story.
Angel Dust gave Lincoln a sad look as the Loud were just dealing with us.
Unbeknownst to everyone else Lilith was listening from the door and then opened the front door to go through.
"Please don't judge us..." Rita begged to Lilith who scoffed with her husband.
"Too late for that..." Lilith retorted as Charlie frowned at this.
Emily the Joybringer; one of the seraphims of Heaven loved her job of bringing joy to the human souls that ascend to Heaven.
"Wow... Here's where I come in..." Emily said cheering up a bit to be included in the story.
"I just realised... That's a lot of souls to be bringing joy to..." Lincoln said as Emily smile and nodded.
"Hard work but I love my job... Both of them..." Emily then said and then added to Lincoln and he sighed.
From those that lived a full life, to those whose lives were unfortunately cut short to those that faced hardship and despair and definitely deserved a carefree afterlife filled with joy.
She had many duties in Heaven but she had another one that she got her big sister Sera to relent in allowing her to partake; one that she was considering taking up for a while. Being a guardian angel to a child on Earth!
"You were the first one that I got to be one for..." Emily said towards Lincoln who managed to smile at her.
Looking out for them and protect them from any harm.
She got her first child to protect: a bright and determined child called Lincoln Loud who came from a big family. Though while selfish at times; didn't really mean harm and always wanted to try and fix problems that his schemes would cause and did want to help others when he could.
"Yeah... That's right..." Lincoln then said with a nod and the Louds smiled at him.
Plus overwhelmed by his big family. Plus he was imaginative and creative and wished that she would be able to introduce herself to him fully but cases that called for that was for some situations where he would be considering...
She would rather not think about that and it didn't look like Lincoln ever considered that.
Just about everyone blinked and realised what was meant by that... The Loud parents didn't even want to consider Lincoln contemplating that...
She couldn't wait to watch him grow up and have his own family and join her in Heaven; where they could be fully friends and she can spread joy to him without having to hide herself.
"Wow... So you really think Lincoln will join you there when the time comes?" Rita asked as the Louds smiled and Emily nodded.
"Not so sure about you both and some of your daughters..." Emily thought in her head.
A weekly visit this morning as she went down from a portal to outside his house and then flew up to his window; the smile plastered on her face fell into a frown as she saw his empty room.
"Just had to make my usual weekly visit that morning..." Emily said shaking her head.
"What you must have thought..." snickered Emily who frowned.
"They were about to hear what I did think right about now..." Emily then realised to herself and gulped realising that this was going to be awkward fast...
"Oh come on... Please Louds... I know you didn't mean ill but... Sera was quite clear... Another incident like the luck one and they would intervene..." Emily sighed shaking her head as she knew that Lincoln's family did love and care about eachother but they tended to be carried away.
The Louds and Lincoln blanched at this while everyone else except for the angels, Lincoln's Hell parents were confused.
"Luck incident..." Sibella asked as Lincoln shrank into his seat.
"Do you know what this is if you've seen his file Sera?" Lucifer decided to ask his old friend who had her head down.
"I can't tell you..." Sera said as this got Lucifer and Lilith confused to hear her speaking like that as the Louds were wincing and the Loud parents were imagining more ire directed at them.
"Why ever not?" Lilith asked as Sera then faced them.
"Because I fear that if I did... You would both want to kill Mr and Mrs Loud along with the younger Lynn but your daughter and her girlfriend would have gotten to them first..." Sera explained as they caught them by surprise as they stared at the Louds accusatory as Charlie and Vaggie were open mouthed speechless about this.
"I don't think that I would like this story myself..." Sibella said speechless.
"Must be some story..." Alastor muttered.
"Not going to be pretty when they hear..." Vaggie whispered to Charlie who then nodded back at her.
Far more than other families and more often than not... It's Lincoln getting the short end of the stick...
The Loud parents and their daughters blinked; even Lincoln's guardian angel thought so...
"Why does he get a guardian angel?" Lola asked as Sera looked her way.
"Considering all the times that he almost got killed... Plenty of times by a sadistic prankster on April 1st every year and experiments done by a toddler." Sera then stated.
"My pranks aren't that bad!" Luan snapped.
"Neither are my experiments!" Lisa then said breaking out of her denial phase but their parents and siblings stared at them as if to silently ask 'Did you two really say that with straight faces?'
Trying not to rush to conclusions she floated to the downstairs and went through the door; making herself invisible and there was Lincoln's best friend Clyde meeting the Louds who looked dejected. "Come on now... Please stop pulling my leg... He has to be alright..." Clyde said sounding like he was in denial as the depressed looking Loud parents shook their heads.
"Oh man... How Clyde is taking me being gone and how would he take me being down here..." Lincoln said alarmed and the Louds frowned knowing that the McBride boy still wasn't taking it well.
"Sorry Clyde but... It's the truth... Lincoln is stuck and... Until Lucy and her friends can fix this... He might be in the realm of darkness for some time..." Rita said as Clyde was close to outright panicking as Emily had her mouth looking like she was gasping.
What happened? Lucy was there looking guilty; her love of darkness and gothic things were cute but if she was one of those who tried summoning dark entities... Fortunately those that were temporarily summoned from Hell didn't try to start anything major.
"Mostly during Halloween..." Lucifer said as Lucy shook her head that she caused all of this to happen but it looked like as she glanced at her brother; he ended up enjoying himself with his new parents and friends in Hell...
"I am working on trying to locate where he is actually but the tracking procedure is not showing any results yet. Still I wonder about who could have gotten in and took everything he had without being seen entering on my surveillance cameras." Lisa said as Emily thought that her experiments and the lengths she would go...
Lisa just looked towards Emily and then realised that they knew why they didn't work now...
She was worried about her but if her technology wasn't able to locate him.
Emily decided to investigate and decided to see about Lucy's room; she was concerned as there seemed to be some leftover dark energy there and gulped. "What is..." Lucy said as she spotted a book on a table and she looked at it. She felt the energy off it and it wasn't just a book written by humans but an actual grimoire from Hell.
Wait...
If Lucy said she accidentally sent Lincoln to a realm of darkness...
She gasped out in shock with tears in her eyes; her charge being accidentally sent there when she wasn't able to be there...
Sera and Emily sighed sadly as Lincoln, Charlie and Vaggie frowned and looked towards her realising just how much Emily was worried about him like his Earth family and friends.
"Hang on Lincoln; I am taking this back and we are gonna find you and get you out of there." Emily said taking the grimoire and opening up a portal to return to Heaven.
"So you took it..." Lucy said as the Louds all turned to Emily who sighed.
"Sorry... It was a panicked reaction..." Emily said.
"Would we be able to have it back... It was a family heirloom..." Lynn Sr asked as Charlie shook her head.
"Sorry no... Considering it's a Hell grimoire..." Charlie said apologetically.
"Belonged to our great grandmother..." Lucy muttered as Lincoln and Sibella thought about what they knew now about Harriet. Husk was doing the same himself...
Rita and Lynn Sr then realised that the Luck incident being brought caused them to panic and not really notice what was said right after; they remembered and what did Emily mean by they would intervene?
