Transformers Prime: Siren Prologue

For eons, the war between the Autobots and Decepticons has ravaged Cybertron, making it practically uninhabitable. The conflict's embers have spread throughout the cosmos to other corners of the galaxy.

The leaders of the two separate factions, Optimus Prime and Megatron, have been at each other's throats as they battle for control.

Neither side has given ground. Not now or anytime soon.

But it wasn't always this way between the two leaders.

There was once a time when Optimus and Megatron weren't sworn enemies. While few would believe it to be true, Optimus and Megatron were once very close.

You see, before this dreadful war broke out, there was a time back on Cybertron, in the twilight hours of the Golden Age, when the two renowned mechs were very good friends.

Before Optimus became a Prime, he was simply a clerk in the Iacon Hall of Records with the designation Orion Pax. But as he learned more about Cybertron's past, he grew increasingly concerned about the present corruption in high places and inequality among the masses. Orion became inspired by the words and leadership of a gladiator. One who had named himself after one of the 13 original Primes.

Megatronus.

Megatronus vowed to challenge Cybertron's leadership and demand that all Cybertonians be treated as equals.

This Gladiator-Turned-Revolutionary rapidly gathered a loyal following, Soundwave chief among them.

Orion began corresponding with Megatronus, who came to be something of a mentor to him.

In this process, Orion encountered a young femme linked to Megatronus through a club that he and other Gladiators would regularly frequent when no bouts were scheduled.

This is where Orion first met the elegant and talented performer called Siren. The star singer and main headliner for the establishment is a small, slender, and graceful femme with silver and blue paint coating that is the same radiance as energon.

One look at her and Orion knew immediately he was in major trouble especially when he heard her sing for the first time.

Just listening to her voice, Orion became lost in its beauty and radiance.

And it's abundantly clear that he wasn't the only one.

Orion could see right away that Megatronus and Siren had a strong bond and attachment toward each other. So, without making his feelings known, Orion backed off and instead settled for friendship between himself and Siren after they were introduced.

Although Siren's kind, gentle, and compassionate nature made it extremely difficult for him to comply with his stern instruction.

Soon after meeting Orion, Megatronus left the Gladiatorial Arena for the political. In doing this, he saw fit to shorten his name.

Before long, Megatron appeared before the High Counsel to propose his vision for a just society. And it was here that he began to reveal his true colors, proclaiming the need to overthrow the Old Guard with brute force and arrogantly demanding to be named the next Prime.

However, Orion did not believe in violence as a means of achieving justice. The sparks and minds of the Counsel were moved by Orion's words. Here, for the first time since Cybertron's Golden Age, stood someone worthy of being a Prime. But that honor could only truly be achieved by earning the Legendary Matrix of Leadership.

The Counsel were not the only ones moved by Orion's passionate words.

As Megatron's true nature made itself known on the surface, Siren felt herself pulling away from him and becoming more drawn to Orion. Believing full heartedly in the vision that Orion held close to the chassis, Siren became determined to help Orion see that vision through with peaceful means instead of violence. In a matter of days, Orion and Siren became inseparable, the love growing between them undeniable to those who laid optics on them.

Combined with this and his thwarted ambitions, Megatron spitefully severed all ties with Orion and the Counsel and came to wage war on all who opposed him. Through his growing army of followers, which he named Decepticons.

Megatron vowed to claim the Matrix for himself, wherever it may lie, and reclaim Siren for his own.

In time, warfare consumed Cybertron, poisoning the planet to its core. Drastic action was needed to save it. Orion journeyed there, hoping to reverse the ill effects, and found himself before the very spark of Cybertron's very life-giver.

Primus.

The ailing Primus sensed the innate nobility within Orion and bestowed the Matrix upon him. It was thus that a surprised and humbled Orion Pax came to be Optimus, the Last of the Primes.

Following this, in a fierce and devastating skirmish that Optimus and Megatron found themselves locked in, tragedy struck.

Unable to bear to see two mechs she cares about fighting each other, Siren sought to prevent them from killing each other.

This proves to be her downfall.

As Siren got in between them, she got caught in the middle of the crossfire. When this happened the unthinkable occurred.

Siren ends up getting hit. The poor thing survives the blast but at a heavy cost.

Siren's voice box is badly damaged, beyond repair, with absolutely no way to salvage it.

Both it and her voice are lost forever.

Siren will never talk or sing ever again.

No one knows whose shot had been the one to relieve her of this precious gift, only Siren does.

Siren will never tell for fear of the catastrophic blow that would be dealt to the one who committed it.

And this is a secret that Siren is determined to carry down to her grave.

Authors Note:

Siren's appearance here is the same as it would be in Transformers One: Siren.

Huge shout out to reader Uniatra De La Torre 24. It's no secret how miserable I was with how there was no sequel with the Transformers One film. In a recent review of the latest epilogue, I put down for Transformers One: Siren they saw fit to remind me that there were other Transformers series that I could've worked with to include Siren. Like my favorite Transformers series growing up, also, known as the Unicron Trilogy. The names for the three-part series start with Transformers Armada, Transformers Energon, and last but not least Transformers Cybertron. I grew up with these and loved each and every single one.

As luck would have it all the episodes for three parts of the Unicron Trilogy Series recently just became available on iTunes for purchase where they haven't been before. The moment I saw they were available I jumped on them right away and now I'm able to give you guys a whole lot more without having to wait for a sequel that may or may not be coming to us in the future.

This is something I am very thankful for.

And, not to be left out, Transformers Prime is among the best, too. After they suggested it to me, I couldn't get this out of my head. So now we have this wondrous beginning.

I really look forward to working on all of these for you, big time.

I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D

For those of you just starting out with my stuff there are other works on my profile that may catch your interest. I highly recommend you take a look as soon as the opportunity presents itself to you. Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you discover.

Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.

So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.

I know I am. ;) See you guys next time.
