Rocking back and forth in the corner of Lisa's room, Lori was freaking out over the freakish mutation she had underwent in the tanning bed. She felt like cursing at the tannnig bed for giving her fire power like this. How will Lori continue her life? Can she make it in life? Will she be outcasted from normal society just for having pyrokenesis? Only one person can try to reverse these effects of these effects, possibly... Lisa. That girl was the smartest member of the family after all, and she can even discover an element on the periodic table that nobody else has ever discovered before. Looking on her machine, Lisa began looking deeper in the tanning bed.
"Lori, everything is going to be ok." Leni tried to comfort her older sister.
"You don't know that!" Lori snapped, still freaking out over what is going on. "What if i accidentally set the city on fire?! I don't want to burn anyone!" then she made a gasp. "I might turn someone to ashes if i literally touch them with even my fingers!" then she began to freak out even more by rocking back and forth even faster. "I'll literally have to stay in Lisa's bunker for the rest of my life!"
"Whoa whoa whoa, elder sibling." Lisa pointed. "My bunker is a place for emergencies only, not a man cave or a woman cave, and or a place for reckless recreational-" she was paused by the oldest sister grabbing her by the green turtleneck.
"As the oldest sister," Lori seethed in anger with literal fire in her eyes, "I literally order you to give me your bunker right now!!"
"Lori!" Lynn Sr and Rita scolded her in unison.
"You put Lisa down right this minute!" Rita pointed her right finger downwards.
"But my life can literally be over!" Lori panicked some more. "I'm going to-!" Then she felt her light-blue tank top get yanked by Lynn, and she gave her a hard slap across her face.
"Snap out of it, woman!" Lynn. "You're spiraling!"
All was quiet in Lisa and Lily's room, but Lori managed to calm down. "I... I'm sorry, you're right, I'm literally losing my mind."
"It wouldn't be the first time." Lola sang, making everyone glare at her afterwards. "What? I've seen her go completely-" then the girly-girl twin felt silenced as Lana placed a toilet plunger on Lola's mouth to shut her up.
At first, Lola began to freak out and let out a muffled scream. Rolling her eyes, Lana said to her twin sister: "calm down, it's a clean plunger."
Nevertheless, the girl-girl twin growled through the suction cup and narrowed her eyes at the tomboy twin.
"Lisa," Lori sighed, "you can try and fix this, can you?"
"I can certainly try to do so." The genius sister answered. "But it might take a little bit of time to find a cure. This is... unlike anything I have ever seen before. But to help you understand, it appears the tanning bed has caused some kind of genetic mutation in your DNA."
"I literally lost track of time. That thing was so relaxing and it felt like being in the most comfortable hot tub or steam room to sit in without a literal care in the world." Lori explained. "Come on, it felt like the most comfortable bed."
"Well being in there for a prolonged period of time has caused the sudden mutation." Lisa pointed
"Yeah, I got that." Lori sarcastically said as she rolled her eyes. "But what can I do? How long will a cure take?"
"From my calculations, this can probably take a little while. Probably around... weeks to months."
"What?! Weeks to months?!" Lori shrieked. "Nononononononono! I literally need a cure now!" Then she felt her tank top grabbed by Lynn, who, once again, slapped Lori. "Sorry. I'm spiraling again. But Lisa; can you try and find a cure ASAP?"
"Look, you cannot rush science, especially a new discovery that is remarkable beyond comprehension, Lori."
"But what if I literally burn the house down by accident?"
"We can always rebuild it." Lynn Sr. "Come on, Lori. Just let Lisa find the cure. In the meantime, why not just tell-?"
"Babe!" Said a male voice. It was Bobby himself. "What happened? Why aren't you answering my-" then he felt himself hugged by his girlfriend, who began crying into his shoulder.
"Oh Boo Boo Bear!" Lori exclaimed. "I am so sorry for sleeping through our date, but something really bad happened to me!"
"What?!" Bobby exclaimed. "What happened?"
"It's a long and complicated story." said Lincoln answered for his big sister. "But to shorten out: the new tanning bed Lori got caused some kind of mutation inside her body."
"Like the fire in the machine got into her DNA." Lucy pointed.
"That's terrible!" Bobby said. "Babe, I understand. And don't worry, everything will be ok, right Lisa?"
"Yes, just leave finding a cure of this mutation to me. Lord knows how long it will take.
"I want nothing to do with that tanning bed-" Lori pointed in the hallway and a small beam of fire emitted from her pointer like a mini flamethrower. Bobby was quite surprised and yelped as he was startled.
"whoa! What the?" Her boyfriend didn't exactly know what to make of that stunt she accidentally pulled off. "did that just happen?"
"Look Lori, we know you are scared right now, but maybe you can try and put those new powers of fire to good use."
"Good use? Like burning down a building? Or burn someone to death?"
"No? I mean like being a superhero with those powers."
Lori was quiet and slowly began thinking in her train of thought. Maybe... maybe Lincoln was right. She can definitely put those powers of pyrokenesis to good use and help people with them. "I never thought of that." A smile began to appear on her face.
