Taking a sip of sweetened iced tea, Lori was relaxing on a recliner in the backyard, trying to unwind without a care in the world. Even superheroes had to relax themselves some time, or they will burn themselves out. And a burnt out superhero can do poorly in his or her job. It was a nice, sunny day out here in Royal Woods with the birds singing, the gentle wind blowing in Lori's direction. Lori felt accomplished in herself, stopping a crazed, ice-themed supervillain from turning everyone around him into icicles for his sick and twisted collection. Snow Flaker was a real challenge for Lori, and it had to be the hardest villain she had to fight, but she gave it her all and stopped him from hurting (and or traumatizing) anyone else with his sick sense of so-called "fun."

One thing she was certain of, it would be that the police and the legal system would never allow Snow Flaker to be released for as long as he was criminally nuts.

But that was all aside now and she deserved a nice little break. Lori also brought some green grapes for her to snack on as she was bathing under the sun, and ate them nonchalantly. She put her hands behind her head. Suddenly, she was approached by Lily, who gently touched Lori's lower right arm by wagging it. "Poo poo." Lily said one of her usual phrases.

"Oh, you need a change, Lily?" Lori sat up from her recliner. Before she could say another word, a very foul smell caught her nose's attention, a smell she could never ignore at all. "P.U!" She exclaimed while covering her nose. "Yep, you literally need a diaper change." Lori felt like throwing up afterwards. No one could blame her though, for Lily has put a record for stinkiest feces in the family. "Come on, baby sister, time for a usual change.

Lily clapped her hands happily and Lori picked her up, though she pulled out a clothes pin on her nose so she wouldn't have to smell any more of that awful... surprise Lily made.

Awful and pungent, Lori finally finished this terrible task, and gave Lily a kiss on the forehead before giving her to Leni so she can relax some more.

"Now that that's out of the way, let's see what my Boo-Boo Bear has been up to?" Looking at her phone, she frowned at seeing that the bodega was incredibly busy with more customers than usual, so Lori had to wait a little while for her to talk with Bobby again.

"Hey Lori!" Said a voice that sounded like an elderly man. Lori lifted her sunglasses and looked at the direction where the voice came from. It was none other than Mr Grouse, the grouchy but well-meaning neighbor who constantly puts up with the Loud family's shenanigans. "Can ya help me with somethin' really quick?"

"Sure Mr. G. What do you need from me?" Lori called back to him

"I got myself a new chair for the living room. I would lift it myself if I could, but... I'm not as young as I used to be. Not very good for my back. You'll understand that when you get as old as me."

"OK. Give me a moment."

"Thank you, Lori."

It was a very short walk since her house was just right across from Mr Grouse's own maison. "We'll pull it up together in the count of three, ok Mr. G?"

"Sounds good to me." They both grabbed the chair on one side and lifted after three. Out with the old couch and then comes the new one that the cantankerous neighbor had ordered two days ago. "Thanks again, Lori." Said the old neighbor. "The trash truck comes later today, so don't worry about the old chair next to the road."

"OK."

As soon as Lori went back inside the house, she was greeted by her only brother.

"Hey Lincoln, what's up?"

"Lori, look at this cool laser gun that Lisa made for me so we can fight crime together."

The eldest sister made a frown. Well, this was something unexpected for her. "Fight crime, together?" She asked

"Well yeah. I'm a big comic book fan."

"I literally notice that every time." Lori noted. "But fighting crime with me? Lincoln, I appreciate you trying to help me out, but... you can't fight crime with me."

Lincoln frowned. "What? Why not?"

"Why not?" Said Lori. "You don't have superpowers for one thing, and besides, it's way too dangerous for you to fight crime. The last time I stopped a villain, he was planning to turn everyone in town into ice sculptures. And he almost literally froze my head off. You wouldn't stand a chance against someone like Snow Flaker. And before him, I face a police shootout against armed gang members. There can be even more crazy dangers than those, like mafias or powerful gangs that control a portion of town."

"Lori, I'm not a little kid, you know." Said Lincoln. "And Lisa thought you could use a helping hand in taking care of multiple bad guys at once. And, another thing; not every superhero has powers. A hero can be a superhero hero without Powers. Just a look at Batman and Robin. They're heroes and they don't have any superpowers."

"I never said you were a little kid, Lincoln. But you're still my little brother and I love you." Lori knelt down and put a gentle hand on his right shoulder. "And I know you are a big comic book and superhero fan, but it's a little too dangerous for you. Besides if you get hurt or injured, mom and dad will literally kill me."

Lincoln looked away for a moment, and then back to his oldest sister. "Look, i know our family can be a little... over the top, and we've got ourselves into the craziest kind of situations, but i'm not like Lynn, who would be looking for dangerous recklessly."

"Oh i know." said Lori. "You're literally more responsible than Lynn is, but it's still too dangerous."

Lincoln bowed his head. "But a hero can still be super without super powers. Why do you think Lisa let me have this."

"I said no, Lincoln!" Lori sounded a little stern, making Lincoln take two steps back, looking a little startled by that sudden response. Lori realized her mistake and looked remorseful by that outburst. "I'm sorry, Lincoln. Didn't mean to literally snap at you like that, but i just don't want you to get hurt."

"You're starting to sound like a parent a little." Lincoln said.

Lori sighed, and said: "Yes, i know. I am the biggest sister, and that means you and your other sisters are still my responsibility. Like i literally mentioned; if mom and dad found out if you got injured, then they would blame me since i would be in charge of you if you fight crime with me."

Lincoln was silent, but ultimately, he gave up because he saw how his big sister was being persistent at not allowing him to fight crime alongside her like a sidekick. "OK." he sighed. "Just wanted to help you out."

"I know. I literally thank you for being helpful, Lincoln, but it's just too risky for you. Just want you to understand."

"I do. Well, i'm going to put this under my bed just in case." Walking away sadly, Lori looked at Lincoln. She felt like she went a little too far, but she was being as gentle as possible. All she was doing was trying to be responsible and do the right thing. She didn't want Lincoln to get hurt or end up in a freak accident or land in the hospital for fighting crime with her. Anything could happen without knowing it.
