In the training field part of Lisa's bunker, Lincoln pulled out the laser blaster that Lisa was more than obliged to build for him in fighting Lori against, and he was ready to shoot at some robot dummies with it to prove his skills. From behind the safety plexiglass, Lori was watching nervously as she was about to see her only brother in action with that blaster.
Lisa gave her a gentle touch on her right hand so assure her that Lincoln has this in the bag. It was silent in the room, but a buzzer was heard and a line of non-hostile robots came out from a conveyer belt and landed on the floor.
Because Lori didn't want the robots to hurt her brother, the genius sister programmed the robot dummies she recently created to do some weird, silly dances to look like weirdos. At first, Lincoln looked a little weirded out, but remembered not to be distracted, and fired his blaster at the crazy robots, and he even did a bunch of backflips that looked similar to the Matrix.
"I wish Keanu Reeves was here to see this." Lincoln thought to himself as he was blasting some of these robots to oblivion.
Shooting and shooting at these robots, the white-haired boy did a slide on the floor with his calves and kicked a few robots in midair, knocking their heads off their bodies.
The disembodied robots looked confused as they were looking for their heads, accidentally bumping into one another.
"Come on, I would like a challenge. I am going to be fighting some bad guys that are not going to be like these robots."
"Lincoln, I don't know." Lori said. "I don't want any of them to give you a black eye.
"Come on, Lori." Lincoln said. "We've been over this. I'll be fine."
Still looking reluctant, Lori gave Lisa the signal for her to turn the robot dummies hostile on Lincoln, and their black eyes were glowing red. At first, Lincoln was regretting wanting a challenge, but got over it and just went along with some more training.
Lori's heart was pounding and felt like something going to go wrong, terribly wrong. "Lori, I can perfectly understand your overzealous attitude and your paranoid behavior about this whole idea," said Lisa, "but in all fairness, I believe he has got this under control. We have seen his athletic abilities while pretending to be David Steele himself."
"Paranoid? I'm not literally being paranoid, I am just... looking out for him, and making sure he doesn't get hurt or hurt himself." But Lori sounded like she was lying to herself about it what she just stated to Lisa. Perhaps she was being a little paranoid about this idea. "And the robots won't disintegrate him with their laser beams, right Lisa?"
"Come now, why in all of Heaven would I ever program my robotic creations to do that, eldest sister?"
"Remember when Lynn ate your sandwich that you were going to experiment with one of your inventions? You got so mad that you installed a security system in the toilet with a security beam and the toilet would shock Lynn as she was using the bathroom."
"Well, in my defense, this is Lynn we are conversing about, Lori. You and I both know how insane and rough she can be with."
"Fair enough, but she couldn't use the toilet for a week after the prank you pulled on her."
"Bottom line, the main topic is that my robot comrades are never going to severely hurt or maim Lincoln. As a matter of fact, look at how well our only brother is handling himself."
"Well, he is doing good." Lori crossed her arms. "Yeah, why am I even worrying to much anyway? Lincoln does literally have this under."
Indeed, Lincoln was doing rather well out in the training with his new blaster, and he was dodging some arm swings from the robot dummies and it was like he was living in an action scene in a David Steele movie. This wasn't a movie, of course. This was real, and he needed to take this seriously without any slip-ups. He was as focused as a cheetah stalking an impala as its next meal in the plains of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
Lincoln was dodging and avoid as much non-lethal lasers from the robots, and swooped his head under any arm swipes from the dummies so he wouldn't get hit. To Lori's surprise and amusement, Lincoln was doing very very well against these dummies. There were no skirmishes and or any serious injuries against Lincoln, and the more he was getting the hang of this, the more slowly Lori was starting to worry less in this kind of idea. Maybe this wasn't such a bad decision after all.
"You want me to tell him that I set the lasers to 'ticklish' mode for you, Lori?"
"nah, let him have it, Lisa." The eldest sister crossed her arms with a smile as she was looking on and on at how well her brother was doing in the combat training. "You go, little bro." She said to herself with a smile.
The David Steele movies and comics were really paying off for the white-haired boy, and he can probably do well in fighting off the bad guys in the field.
When training was over, Lincoln was sweating and covered his neck with a sweat rag as he was drinking a few sips of iced lemonade. "So, what did you think, Lori?"
"I think that... you are ready." Lori smiled. "As long as you be careful."
Later on in the day, there was a bank robbery in the central part of town, and the alarm was going off within the bank. Three men were coming out with black suits and black masks on their face to keep their identities a secret.
"Well boys, I hope you like real money." Said the leader.
"Who doesn't like real money, boss?" Said the smaller one in a gruff voice
"And I can't wait to open up my own thrift shop." The larger one pointed. "Let's get out of here before the cops or Volcano Girl comes
"Too late." Lori sang, coming from the smoke, and Lincoln was next to her wearing a futuristic outfit with a face mask. "I already came."
"Volcano Girl!" Said the leader, then looked at Lincoln. "And who is this?"
"Call me Laser Boy."
"Laser Boy? What is this a comic book convention?" The lead robber scoffed. "Halloween is not for a few more months."
"I thought you guys would laugh at me. Watch this" Lincoln pointed his laser at the robbers' getaway car and blasted it making the car turn into a pile of ashes.
"Our car!" The second robber said.
"Now you're dead." The third robber looked angry.
This is when the battle commenced and Lori melted the guns of the goons so beg wouldn't be able to use them anymore and they were left to fight melee style.
Lincoln was fighting with the second robber and dodged many punches from the baddie. "Hold still so I can swell your face, kid!" He grunted
"No can do." Lincoln said as he was punching his opponent in the face multiple times. The goon pulled out a small handgun and aimed it at Lincoln's face, but Lincoln was faster and dodged the bullet by tilting his head and kicked the gun with his left foot out of the opponent's hand, and gave him a painful knee kick to the chin.
Lori was using fists of flames to try and punch the leader, but the leader was quick on his feet. "My mama swings faster than you, little lady." He taunted.
Feeling his face getting pounded with fists over and over again, Lincoln was showing no mercy as he was pinning the second robber to the ground. He felt himself being picked up by large strong hands, and he was in the grip of the third robber.
"Let's see if I can squish your head like a lemon, kid." The third robber evilly stated. Before he could do so, Lincoln bit his right arm, making him howl in pain as he was forced to let go of the white-haired boy.
It didn't take long for Lori to fully subdue the leader and she decided to help Lincoln with the other goons. "Don't worry, Laser Boy. I got this!" She said.
She formed flames with her fists again and punched the second goon multiple times until he was unconscious. For the third leader, Lori simply blasted him with a flame blast with her two hands, ending the fight."
"So how did I do?" Asked Lincoln.
"You did great, Li- I mean, Laser Boy." Lori patted him on the head. It didn't take long for the police to arrive on the scene and book the three robbers
