Miz and Mrs renewed for season 3. It's an announcement Mike and Maryse both had been teasing for a few days, and it's kind of a relief to finally just have it out there. Before the Dancing with the Stars casting notice, he and AJ had discussed it in length. It'd mean more interruptions to their day to day life, and the kids are all older now, more aware of things- not just Sara and George, but Heath and Maryse's kids as well, and he knows they had similar conversations too. But, somehow, some way, both AJ and Heath had agreed. Mike thinks now, perhaps, because AJ knew she'd be delving into the Women of Wrestling relaunch, and Heath... who knows, perhaps his own distraction between the end of his rehab and returning to Impact. Either way, it's on, and it's happening, and that means Maryse has to be present at Dancing with the Stars regularly for footage for the show.

"Well, that's out there," he tells her after she meets Witney and they excuse themselves for a few moments during a break between rehearsals. "Season 3 renewal." The confused look on her face clears up and she nods.

"That's good," she murmurs. "Felt annoying sitting on it for so long."

"Tell me about it." He sighs and settles in next to her on the ledge she'd commandeered once they'd removed themselves to an abandoned room not far from where he and Witney are training. "You're still good with it, right? I know it's a lot of stress, especially with Heath and the girls."

"Yeah," she murmurs. "I'm good with it. My girls love you, you know they do. I'm not sure how much longer I can do it, considering it's not really fair to Heath, but for now."

"I feel the same way about AJ," he says. The show had begun to help solidify Maryse's finances, and he knows those probably took a hit between Heath being released from WWE and the surgeries needed and his lengthy rehab after getting such a horrible injury, but he thinks- hopes- maybe one more season will do it, will be all she needs to keep afloat, especially now that Heath's back at Impact.

She smiles and nudges him slightly. "Well, either way," she says off of a sigh. "We're both lucky and have much too gracious significant others. And we will get through this, as we have everything else in the past."

"Damn straight," he says with a smile.

Still, everyone being accepting over the announcement doesn't really keep him from feeling jittery. He breathes in and out, fussing with his hair, trying desperately to feel cool, calm and collected, as though he was in Grease, but it only works to a certain extent, and he knows it shows in his dancing when all four judges tell him fun and high energy, but too rushed, and he feels some control slipping through his fingers, his grin frozen on his face as he nods and tries to absorb their suggestions, aware that even when they're picking apart his dance, four 8s across the board isn't a bad score, just not good enough to last for this stage of the competition.

Witney is calm, however, and they're not even in the bottom two, so Mike tries to breathe, follow her lead. Still. STILL. It rankles, deep down inside, and he struggles just to keep afloat as he considers all of this that night, laying in bed, trying to figure out what he could do better. How to control his emotions in the dance, and not move too fast, or too slow, and...

He falls into a restless sleep before he can find much of an answer.
