"Are you alright?" AJ asks quietly, running her fingers through Mike's hair.

He hums absently, lost in thought. "Yeah," he mumbles. "I'm good." He is, really. His ... team, for lack of a better word, had won at Wrestlemania- not in the way he would've preferred, thanks to damn Logan Paul stealing the pin, but he'd made him pay for it in the end, with a solid Skull Crushing Finale to take that smug look off of his face.

Not that it had all been about Logan, nah, he'd heard on the kick off, Jake Paul running his mouth and insisting that he'd come pay back anyone who dared to boo his brother, all but threatening a vast majority of the Texas crowd.

It had been a test, Mike, unabashed, responding to Jake through his brother and waiting to see which of them would blink first. Considering he hadn't seen any sign of either of the Pauls since leaving Logan behind in the ring, he thinks he has the answer to his question.

Getting a maddeningly quick victory against Dominik the following night, and leaving he and Rey behind to deal with the debuting Veer, had been icing on what was already a pretty fantastic cake.

"I'm doing really good," he clarifies, as her fingers scrape a little more insistently against his scalp. "Just thinking about how I proved to the Pauls that I don't need them to defeat the Mysterios." He pushes up on one elbow and cups her face, kissing her slowly. "I mean, not that it's a shock to anyone, but you know. Still nice to prove it to the world."

She chuckles softly, leans in to kiss him and hums. "Well, I'm glad you're glad. So what's next on the agenda?"

"Your guess is as good as mine," he says, tangling their fingers together. "See where things take me I guess."

"Post-WRestlemania void," she says, enjoying the feel of his skin running against hers. "Never great."

"No, but it can lead to pretty great things eventually," he says, turning to press his face into her stomach, pressing a kiss there before lightly scraping his teeth against her flesh, causing her to shiver and exhale out a slow breath.

"So can other things," she murmurs, causing him to smirk as he once more sits up to face her.

"Anything you have in mind?"

"A proper celebration of your numerous victories from the past few days," she offers and he immediately moves to kiss her, easing her down against the pillows.

"Have I ever mentioned I like the way you think?" he asks before delving back in.

She doesn't get the chance to respond.
