"So," Morrison says slowly. "That footage of Gargano."

Mike rolls his eyes, sips from his coconut water and peers up towards the sunset, enjoying how it casts a orange glow over the view of the beach from John's balcony. "You really listening to Gargano now?" he drawls lazily, enjoying himself as Morrison examines him quietly.

"Not necessarily," he says, "but you have to admit something in this story never quite added up."

Mike rolls his eyes. "I don't have to admit anything, john. it made sense to me because I lived it."

"So make it make sense to me," John encourages him. You paid Lumis off?"

Mike groans, rolling his head along the back of the lawn chair he's sitting in. "Fine, fine," he huffs. "I..." He picks at the label drink and shrugs. "Look, it's pathetic, but Maryse got everyone going on about the size of my... well, my balls," he forces out. "I'm not ashamed or anything, but it just felt like... something really personally, especially after how public we made my getting a vasectomy, you know?"

"Yeah," John says slowly.

"So I paid Lumis off," Mike says in a rush. "Because I felt like it could lead to better drama if there's another season of Miz and Mrs. than episode after episode of trying to get talk about my ball size past the network's censors. You know?" He cringes. "That's all I wanted. A season where we weren't walking in with something I did weighing over me from the very first moment they said "annnnd.. action!' But then he betrayed me, went after my family, and ..." He sighs. "Here we are."

John nods slowly. "I guess i get it, it sounds kind of weird and complicated but you always do, so maybe this makes as much sense to me as anything else I've experienced because of you."

Mike makes a face at him and laughs mockingly before kicking his feet back up on the balcony railing. "Right," he says lazily. "Well, you know. I can never make things easy for myself."

"That's true," John says, shrugging when Mike tosses a glare over at him. "So. Have you heard anything new from AJ? How are Alicia and the babies doing?"

"Last I heard, they're doing really well," Mike says. "AJ says if things continue to progress as well as they are, she'll probably be home in a week or so."

"That's great," John says. "You must have missed her and the kids so much."

"Yeah," Mike breathes out. "I can't even explain how much, it's like an ache that nothing can touch. Especially with everything going on with Lumis. But soon enough it'll all be behind me, one way or another."

John nods. "Well, if you need anything, I'm always here for you, you know."

Mike smiles. "Yeah, I know."

They smirk at each other and turn their gazes back onto the purple tinged sky before them, talking quietly about the babies and figuring out a good way to work out a visit to go to Pennsylvania and visit them all.
