"I don't know what to think about him half the time," Mike says, blinking out of the window at the rain as it pours down outside. "No, correction, 90% of the time."
John huffs a laugh. "I was about to say, how was that number so damn low? He's ridiculous." He rolls over on Mike's couch and eyes him. "You fight to protect him from the Judgement Day and the very next week, he's back in their hideout, draping himself off of them and acting like they're his besties. I mean, Truth's never really been stable, but damn. He's making Dalton look sane."
Mike sighs. "Yeah," he mumbles. "Speaking of, are you ever going to wrestle him so Wisconsin can stop worrying about all of that wasted cheese?"
John rolls his eyes. "God, absolutely not. Have you seen what he does with those Boys? It's degrading, I refuse to let that anywhere near me."
Mike hums. "Well, you know he's just going to continue to chase you around until you give in. I've heard enough about Dalton Castle to know he's not easily swayed. Dude wrestled for months with a broken back, you know."
John exhales, rolls his shoulders impatiently. "Yeah, well, maybe he should've stayed doing that instead of harassing me. Besides, he thinks he's soooo tired now, I'm going to full on exhaust him soon and he won't be able to consider doing anything against me ever again. It'll all work out in my favor one way or another."
"Think it's weird how we both end up having to deal with the absolute most unhinged parts of the companies we're in at the exact same time?" Mike wonders, finally turning fully away from the torrential downpour to frown at John. "It's almost like it's karma for all of those years we spent tormenting people."
John shrugs. "Maybe, maybe not. I'm not concerned about it though." He glances outside. "Think AJ would kill us if we took the kids outside?"
"Yes," Mike says, crossing his arms over his chest and staring at John.
"Hm. Yeah, I guess," He says slowly. "What about if just the two of us went out?"
"Oh god," Mike sighs, arms dropping to his sides. "What do you have planned?"

The house has been quiet for a suspicious amount of time, Taya and AJ finally having succeeded at getting both George and Sara down for naps when they hear something outside- a thud, followed by yelling. "That isn't," Taya mumbles.
"I'm afraid it is," AJ says, shaking her head as the two of them go to the front door and peek out to find both of their childish men sitting in the middle of the heaviest rain California has seen in a long, long time, laughing and pushing each other into the puddles, getting mud everywhere. "God, I swear, my children aren't this misbehaved," AJ sighs, already marching off to get towels.
"Maybe we should've put them down for naps instead," Taya cracks, following her to find a change of clothes for both of the ridiculous men outside.
"Probably would've been less aggravating if we had," AJ agrees, stacking everything up. "C'mon, let's go get them before they catch cold."
Taya smiles and follows along, exasperated but amused all at the same time.
