"...so what do you say?", Alex asked the visibly irritated Charlotte in front of him. He didn't notice her fast glance to his right. He hadn't expected her to react as… distressed to his invitation – to be honest, he thought she might be more than happy to accept.

"umm… I think…", she stuttered and looked behind Alex once again. This time he noticed and turned around. What he expected even less than Charlotte's nervousness was Sebastian right behind him. Alex could tell that he tried to look like he was just ordering something at the bar – but he had seen his tense facial expression. Alex looked back at Charlotte whose eyes wandered from Alex to Sebastian and back. She almost looked helpless.

It was a catastrophe. Charlotte knew it was when she saw the look on Sebastian's face – on her face. Alex had just asked her – well, Sebastian in that case – whether she wanted to go for a morning run with him for his birthday the next day. Of course, she wanted to! She had been thinking about opportunities like that – there was no better way to get to know Alex than doing sports with him.

"I think it's a great idea!", Charlotte exclaimed and Alex raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Well, too bad I asked Charlotte and not you.", Alex replied and smirked. "I didn't even know you could run at all.", he joked and Charlotte almost laughed if this wouldn't have made the situation even worse. She looked over to Sebastian, who couldn't decide whether he was amused by this situation or severely annoyed. He could have just said no and let it pass. Now, Charlotte had embarrassed him – and he wouldn't let her slip through this. Even though there were so many things that he would rather do than spend even 10 minutes with Alex, this was a perfect opportunity to annoy the hell out of Charlotte – and this would be worth it.

"I also think, it's a great idea.", Sebastian finally replied. Alex's attention immediately switched from Charlotte to him and he smiled.

"I had hoped you would say this. So. I'll be at your farm at 8 – so don't go to bed too late!", Alex announced and Sebastian regretted accepting this invitation.

Charlotte didn't know whether to thank Sebastian for accepting Alex's invitation or damn him – but she knew she couldn't let Sebastian meet Alex without her briefing him first – and doing his hair, of course. She wanted to say something to Sebastian but noticed, that not only his friends were watching the three of them – but half of the other guests as well. What Charlotte couldn't see was Shane, who watched Sebastian's every move – and emptied his beer in one big gulp.

When Sebastian woke up the next morning, it wasn't because of an alarm he had set for his morning run with Alex – he didn't plan to go anyway, so there was no alarm. But when he opened his eyes, it appeared to him that he had no choice but to go. He blinked and decided that he was still dreaming when his own face hovered over him. This was the second morning he woke up in Charlotte's body – and as the day before there were those three seconds when waking up and not remembering what had happened to him.

"Wake up!", Charlotte hissed annoyed and Sebastian opened his eyes for good.

"What are you doing here?", he groaned and got up slowly. He stretched.

"It's almost 8 and you were still sleeping!", Charlotte exclaimed and pointed at the clock. "Alex will be here any minute!"

Sebastian shrugged. "I don't care. I won't go anyway." Charlotte shook her head in disbelief.

"Why would you accept his invitation and not go?", she asked. When Sebastian shrugged again, she felt the urge to hit him.

"You can't make me.", he said. But when he looked at her and saw the spark in his own eyes, he knew this was a mistake.

"I could show your Mum what your Dad sent you though.", she insinuated and wandered to her wardrobe.

"You wouldn't.", Sebastian was suddenly very awake.

"It's a heavy letter you know? Weighs more than just paper.", Charlotte continued. Sebastian jumped up from the bed and clenched his delicate fists.

"Don't you dare!", he hissed – and Charlotte smiled triumphantly.

"I won't. If you go on this date with Alex and not embarrass me further.", she replied. Then she went to her wardrobe and got her sports underwear, her shorts and a light shirt. She handed everything to Sebastian and pointed at the bathroom door.

"You know how to put on a sports bra, don't you?", she asked. Sebastian couldn't help but comment flippantly.

"Usually I take them off - but this shouldn't be too much of a challenge.", he grinned. Charlotte rolled her eyes.

When Alex arrived at the farm, Sebastian already sat on the stairs in front of the house. He had put on Charlotte's runners and wondered, how long ago the last time must have been that he had worn some of those. High School maybe? He didn't have much time to do sports – and honestly, there were too many other things to do when there was time.

"Morning!", Alex shouted cheerfully and ran towards Sebastian. He had already started his run it seemed. "Ready?" Sebastian sighed. As ready as one could be for the worst torture on a hot summer day – even this early, the sun had already poked down at them. Later that day, he would hide in his basement again where he at least wouldn't burn alive.

"Happy Birthday", he muttered and tried not to stiffen up, as Alex pulled him into a hug.

"Thank you, Charlotte. You know, this was one of my wishes this morning.", Sebastian looked at him questioningly. Alex laughed. "I wished that I could spend time more time with beautiful girls – and it came true just like that." What was wrong with him? Sebastian tried not to look too irritated – but Alex had already turned around anyway.

"Are you coming?", he asked over his shoulder and started running towards Cindersnap Forrest.

Instead of turning into a big puddle of sweat immediately, Sebastian noticed that Charlotte's body was capable of more than he had anticipated. He couldn't tell how long they were running already. It was the most boring thing he had done in a while, but at least he wasn't dying. After a while, he even noticed how his muscles got used to the movements and everything flowed even smoother. But datewise, he acknowledged that there was no worse way to spend time with each other than running. Even if Sebastian had any desire to talk to Alex and any topics in mind to chat about – he saw nothing but his back the whole time. Even when he tried to keep the pace, Alex seemed to run even faster – and he didn't care to look back at his running pal. When they finally arrived back at the farm, Sebastian wanted to slip back inside as fast as possible – but Alex wouldn't let him. He took his hand, squeezed it a little bit – and smiled at Sebastian in a way that even he had to admit that the sportsman looked good. He was even annoyed by how good he looked after what had felt like an eternity of running.

"Charlotte, it was a pleasure.", he said and Sebastian tried to play along. He nodded. Alex smiled. "You know, you're a great runner – of course, not as fast as me but I don't think anyone else in this town could keep up with us. We should team up more often.", Alex suggested. Sebastian shrugged. If Charlotte wanted to repeat this, she would have to tell him herself.

"Yeah, have a nice birthday, I guess.", Sebastian said and almost groaned as Alex pulled him into another hug – longer this time. And a lot sweatier. Hell, he reeked. Sebastian ruffled his nose. When Alex let loose, Sebastian thought that he would finally leave – but there was something else on his mind.

"May I ask you something?"

"You already are.", Sebastian replied and looked at Alex waitingly. The sportsman didn't notice the annoyed undertone and laughed.

"Well… I just wanted to ask… As you know Sebastian came up to you yesterday. What's going on between the two of you?", Alex asked and Sebastian looked at him in surprise. He didn't think Alex would care for his presence in any way.

"Nothing. I mean, we don't really know each other.", Sebastian replied and wished this was the truth. Alex didn't look too convinced.

"Yeah, I mean the two of you are exact opposites. And no way you would be interested in such a loser.", Alex smirked. At this point, Sebastian gave up his acting skills.

"Alright. Bye Alex.", he muttered and turned around. "Have a nice birthday.".

"You're STILL here?", Sebastian asked irritated, when he entered Charlotte's farmhouse and saw her sitting on the table, reading in a gigantic, dusty book. She looked at him.

"First: This is my house. I can spend as much time as I want here. And second: You were only 1 hour away. How far did you run? 10 kilometres?"

"No idea. But Alex is a dick and running is the worst thing one can do as a date.", Sebastian answered and went to the bathroom door. "And I'm having a shower. You reek."

He undressed quickly and stepped into the shower when he heard the bathroom door being opened again.

"Hello? I'm naked?", Sebastian noted. But Charlotte didn't mind.

"I know well enough what my body looks like naked. On the other hand; I hope you don't watch too closely. So tell me: What did you talk about?"

Sebastian pulled back the shower curtain and looked at Charlotte irritated.

"Am I not allowed to have a shower in peace?", he asked. But when he saw Charlotte's expression, he knew that there was no way she would let loose. He sighed. "We weren't talking. We were running."

"What do you mean? You weren't talking? Didn't you say happy birthday to him?", Charlotte questioned.

"Well, of course, I have. But Alex just ran in front of me and I followed. But I guess congratulations: You're in good shape!"

Charlotte grinned. "At least this morning helped me stay in that shape. I can't believe you didn't talk at all!"

"But you should. Oh my god. Oh my god!", Sebastian suddenly shouted. Charlotte jumped up from the toilet seat she had placed herself on.

"What is it?", she asked hastily.

"I'm bleeding! I must've hurt myself while running!", Sebastian shouted. Charlotte pulled away the shower curtain and traced the blood drops that mixed into the soapy shower water and flowed into the drain. The blood was dripping from Sebastian's leg – but there was no wound whatsoever.

"What day is it?", Charlotte asked, already knowing what was happening.

"What?"

"What day it is!", Sebastian looked at her in confusion. But then, realization hit him and he felt the blood that didn't drip out of him creep up into his cheeks.

"Congratulations, Sebastian. You're becoming a woman."
