"Dad, what're you doing here, does Bentley know you're here." Deadly heard Kaley ask him. It was early evening and Daphne and Kaley had just returned from their first day of working plus Kaley had brought home shoe buns from the Gucchi cafe making them smile seeing Gwen wearing Gucchi sneakers which Daphne foubd adorable along with Deadly. "I figured since I'm no longer King and you two are having adventures here, I figured I should do the same." Deadly told them makihg Kaley smirk at this.
"You know what, we've got plenty of room, so yeah you can stay, as Gwen might need her great-grandpa around when we need him." Kaley told him making Deadly grin, revealing his dragon fangs and wisdom fangs which Daphne noticed seeing Kaley sitting on the couch with a sleeping Gwen on her tummy which Deadly found cute headibg upstairs to set up his room, feeling Toast brush up against his leg making Kaley giggle softky at the kitten's antics trying not to wake Gwen up but Toast climbed up onto the couch whispering into Gwen's ear. What Kaley didn't know was that Toast was Gwen's Protector and watch over her and her moms like her mommy, Loaf had did for Kaley so wanted to make her proud.
"I made PSLs for us honey, but Toast seems calm around Gwen which is a good thing. I thought she might get jealous or scratch her." Daphne said making Kaley grin at this. "I could never do that to Gwen, I am her Prorector after all." Toast said to herself softly which Kaley heard remindibg her of Loaf guessing she'd inherited Loaf's magical blood seeing Toast nodding.
"Yes, and like my jom beibg yohr Protextor, I'm Gwen's which is why she's so calm aroubd me and you and Daphne." she said to her making Kaley smile at this drinking her PSL seeing Deadly join them thinking Toast watching over Gwen adorable which he had noidea aboht that Toast was the female frost-giant's protector.
"Well at work, the ghosts got excited, and freaked customers out, when that happens we're supposed to say it's the pipes. Maybe since Deadly's a phantom, he could befriend them and keep them in line." Daphne said making Deadly excited about meeting other phantoms trying to suppress a manical laugh so he wouldn't wake Gwen which Daphne and Kaley appreciated seeing him nod. "You're welcome guys." Deadly told them.
The next morning, Deadly was going with Daphne to the Last Bookstore as he was excited seeing books floating in the air majing the owner facepalm needing to get things calmer before openibg for the day, but the second they saw Deadly, theywere in awe impressing the owner. "I think you have fans. Lead them into the Ghost Stories section and keep them calm." Daphne whispered to him as henodded leadibg them to said section going through the bookshelves astounding the owner asking Daphne who her friend was.
"That's mine and Kaley's father in law who's a phantom dragon. Don't worry aboht it." she tokd him impressing him realisibg she wasn't from Norway hearing manical laughs from the Ghost Stories section making Daphne guess Deadly was entertaining the phantons seeing the owner open up the bookstore relieved that Daphne's father in law was taming the phantoms that got out of the vault but added mystery to the location hearing things quiet down.
