Chapter 5 How do You Truly Feel

Anos POV

Koneko and I take our separate ways when we enter the mansion. I can hear yelling echoing in the halls. I think to myself sounds like father and Rias are fighting again. I make my way to the dining hall where I hear yelling, I stop in front of the door listening to what they have to say before coming in.

"I don't want to marry that jerk I would rather marry someone I love. Why can't you understand that?" Through the door, I can hear my father sigh in annoyance, " the head of the Phoenix family and I have been planning this for a long time."

"That doesn't seem fair why should I have to get married why not Anos? He can easily marry Ravel it doesn't have to be me." I can tell through the door that Rias is slowly getting more and more aggravated as the conversation carry's on, "that is true but he doesn't have the power of destruction like you do."

I can feel Rias flare her aura out in annoyance saying, "why do you guys keep doing this to him? First, you take away his birthright just because he doesn't have the power of destruction.

Then all you ostracized him for it as if he is not part of the Gremory family. Are you guys just blind Anos is so smart it's scary, his sword skills are amazing, and not to mention people call him a prodigy with magic?"

Through the door, I can hear her voice strain as if she is about to cry. "The only difference between me and him is the fact that he doesn't have to power of destruction." "Rias, you don't understand there are things behind the scenes you can't see.

But don't miss understand I am proud of Anos more than you think but, we need to carry on our family's power, and since Anos doesn't have the power of destruction it has to be you."

The argument goes on for five more minutes before I enter the door with a grin on my face saying, "Hello I'm back from Ajuka's." I look at my sister and I can see both relief and excitement in her eyes.

"Anos you're back," Rias darts to me giving me a huge hug burying her face in my chest then looking up to me with a bright smile saying, "why didn't you call in advance I would have met you at the door."

I pat her on the head and look to my father who was rubbing his forehead as if he just had the biggest headache. I then look back down to Rias who was still smiling and hugging me with a grin on my face I looked at both of them saying, "hope I wasn't interrupting anything important."

Both Rias and my father's expressions change taking a darker tone. Rias lets go of me lowering her head trying to mask her frustration, "it's nothing Anos, father was trying to make me do something I didn't want to so I told him no. "

She looks back up to me and I look into her eyes as if I am searching for something then I tell her, "okay if you ever need anything just tell me I would be happy to help." She smiles and nods and asks me, "did you master a new magic while working with Ajuka."

I shook my head no in disapproval with a cocky grin saying, "no I mastered three new magics. Norse, Olympian, and Fairy Magic." Rias looks at me in amazement, "wow really I didn't know devils could learn other types of magic."

I smile at her, "it's possible. It's just on a different wavelength, and all you have to do is find the correct wavelength." She looks at me with hope in her eyes saying, "do you think I could learn other types of magic? I want to learn transformation magic."

I chuckle at her saying, "why, so you can transform into your anime characters," and before she can say anything in retaliation; I teleport out the room into Konekos's room.

She looks up at me with a blank expression and just shakes her head at me already knowing why I am here. Then she just turns back to the show she was watching while continuing to eat her sweets.

I can feel the mansion shake and I can sense Rias' power of destruction flaring out. I can also hear maids screaming, "oh no Lady Rias is throwing another fit", with another one saying, "do you think it was Lord Anos again?" With another saying, "probably, knowing him her probably said something about her otaku addiction."

I chuckle to myself and sit next to Koneko on the couch, she offers me some of the candy she was eating and I gladly take it and begin to wait for Rias to calm down from her fit.

I think to myself I really shouldn't tease her like this then again I can't help it she makes it too easy. A few minutes pass and I can feel her aura diminish over time until it's gone showing that she has calmed down. I get up from my couch stretching my arms, sending Koneko a wave with her waving back to me.

I then teleport to the door of my father's study, I knock once and wait for an answer a few moments later I hear him say, "enter. " I walk in, my father looks to me with a smile on his face, "I'm glad to see you. I have been meaning to talk to you."

I chuckle, "that's funny same here. " My father raises his right eyebrow showing that he is curious about what I have to say, "so do you want to go first or shall I, Anos my boy?" I walk to the chair in front of my father's desk, "you are the head of the family so you can."

"Thank you I shall. So how are things going with finding a way to get home?" "Do you want the short or the long story? " My father looks then looks to the ceiling and says, "I'll take the long story since we have time until dinner is ready."

I nod jokingly saying, "you're gonna need a notepad," he looks at me confused then I continue with my explanation. "When I arrived at Ajuka's we both did research on different magics that are used to travel between dimensions….ten minutes later…So my studies lead me to learn about Norse Magic because of the Bifrost.

So I thought I could try and use something like that to get home… thirty minutes later….After seeing that I could use Norse magic Ajuka stops in his research and fanboys over the fact that I learned another magic than one way led to another I learned both fairy and Olympian magic but, the only reason I chose those two was because I thought they could be useful for getting back home… another ten minutes later… So that's all that happened and we got nowhere but nowhere is somewhere in my book."

I look at my father's face and I see on his face that he's relieved after hearing my story. "I see so you are still in the same position as last time. Ummm Anos don't you think it's time to give up you have been trying to get back for 16 years now.

I know you are very smart and if anyone can figure out how to get back it's you but at this point maybe it's not possible even for someone like you." I shake my head in disapproval, "I'm sorry father I understand how feel truly I do but, I can't give up on my people."

My father nods in understanding with sorrow in his eyes and tries to change the subject by saying, "it is your turn what did you have to talk to me about? " In a flat tone letting my father know I am not joking, "why are you making Rias get married to that disgusting, incest-loving Riser? "

My father pinches his nose and sighs, "Well for starters he isn't in a relationship with his sister." "Then why is she in his peerage? " "Anos how many times have we been over this Ravel was traded by her mother to Riser because their mother doesn't participate in rating games anymore. And so Ravel can gain experience on how the games work."

I raise my eyebrow doubting his word, "I doubt it, he looks like he will mate with anything that has a pretty face and a nice body. " My father smirks, "so you think Ravel is cute and has a nice body.

Maybe I should arrange for you to meet. " I stare into my father's eyes with a cold gaze. He waves his hand, "calm down it was only a joke but, I assume you have already talked to your brother, and whatever he told is the truth partially.

Another reason I am making her get it engaged is for a few personal reasons." "And what are they," I say this while leaning back in my chair and crossing my arms. " The most important reason is because of you and Sirzechs."

I raise my eyes brown in confusion, "look Anos you and brother both give something to Rias that she doesn't need to look for in other guys. " I continue to stare at my father wondering where he was going with this.

"For Sirzechs he completely spoils her and is looser around her. With you, it's the opposite you are more defensive while at the same time you show gentlemen should treat a lady, so if a guy doesn't fit the standards that she sees from both her brother. This isn't a bad thing but now Rias has a high standard when it comes to boys and if they don't meet those standards she doesn't notice them."

As my father tells me his reasoning, I start to contemplate everything he has told me and I can't lie Rias has been in a protective shell for almost all of her life, "so is that part of the reason why you are allowing her to go to the human world? You want her to learn to grow on her own without having me and Sirzechs around."

My father nods his head yes, "but father I still don't understand why it has to be Riser. If there is one man I don't approve of marrying my little sister, it's Riser. "

"Well Anos this agreement goes back long before you and Rias were born and the devil council also has their foot in this marriage so even if I wanted to end the marriage I can't."

I roll my eyes in annoyance that the devil council has a hand in this. "The Devil council is also trying to push the marriage forward, your brother has been stalling them but as you already know his hand is basically tied at this point."

Another hour passes and we continue to talk all the way up to dinner time. When father and I reach the dining hall, I see my mother and Rias are already there. With Rias sitting on the right with an empty chair between them.

I take the empty chair between them with my father sitting at the head. My mother looks at me out the corner of her eye, glancing at me then looking away. I notice this a few times and so does Rias.

I look to Rias for an answer she shrugs showing that she doesn't know either. She glances at me again and I catch her eyes saying, "yes mother is there something I can help you with?"

She scoffs in annoyance, "why would I ever need anything from you." I raise my eyebrow and then I look to everyone at the dinner table, both Rias and my father look just as confused as I am, then it clicks I look to my mother with a grin.

I lean to my mother giving her a hug and kiss on her forehead, "Apologies mother I sho…" but before I could finish my words. She hugs me back and starts littering my face with kisses and kept saying between kisses, "Anos I missed you so much, you should have come back sooner. "

A few minutes pass and she finally lets me go and I then pick up a towel to dry my face and she says in a flat tone, "if you want more, I suggest you put that towel down. " I raise both hands with the towel in my hand then dropping it signaling I surrender. My mother turns from me with a smile on her face saying "shall we eat? "

Transition to Ajuka's Laboratory earlier that night

A red crimson red circle can be seen in front of Ajuka's laboratory and in a flash of crimson red Sirzechs appears. Sirzechs knocks on his door patiently waiting for his best-friend Ajuka to answer.

From outside the door, Sirzechs can hear something break and Ajuka screams then says, "damm, give me a second. I'll be right there. " About five minutes later Ajuka opens the door and smiles," Oh Sirzechs it's just you come in."

Sirzechs nods and walks in whiling smiling at his friend. Sirzechs looks around at the room and says, "I can see that you have been busy with your experiments again." Sirzechs looks to his friend who seems to be blushing and trembling, "Umm… Ajuka are you alright…do you feel sick."

Sirzech takes a step forward then back as Ajuka's eyes are covered by his hair.

Then suddenly Ajuka looks at Sirzechs with eyes almost popping out of his head with drool coming out his mouth. He wipes away his drool lunging at Sirzechs placing both of his hands on Sirzechs shoulders staring into his eyes.

As this happens Sirzechs is completely caught off guard at a loss for words and stutters out, "Ajuka…what on," but before Sirzechs can finish his statement he puts his finger on his mouth saying, "no words yet look at this."

Before Sirzechs can respond Ajuka pulls him to a podium with a rock with at least ten different magnifying glasses in front of it and says, "look having you seen anything more amazing."

Sirzechs is now completely lost, as he looks to his friend who is drooling in excitement, "it's a rock." Ajuka's face does a 180 going from a face filled with amazement to one of shock as if I just told him his brother died. He yells out, " no come here and take look into one of the magnifying glasses."

I sigh and look to Ajuka, "sure I'll play along." Sirzech then walks to one of the magnifying glasses then looks through it, a few seconds pass and he takes a step back wiping his eyes, and walks to a different magnifying glass. His face starts to grow faster and faster from amazement.

Then turns around with utter disbelief in his eyes, "how did you make a replica of the Gremory domain, better yet how is it so small and detailed? " Ajuka looks like he has just won the lottery, "It is amazing isn't it, but sadly it wasn't me. It was Anos who made it."

Now it's time for Sirzechs to be surprised, he knew Anos had extensive magical knowledge but at this point, you would think that Anos would run out of surprises, then again he still doesn't know the depth of Anos powers.

He sighs standing up straight and looks at Ajuka saying, "I guess I'm not the only one that has grown fond of him. "

Ajuka with realization in his eyes understands the hidden meaning in his friend's statement, "you know when I first heard Anos's story 16 years ago I was still a little in disbelief at his story thinking, are really you are a Demon King from another world but as I got to know and learn more about his story him I started to fear him a little.

Then when he requested my help to get back, I was more than happy to send him back because if the supernatural world knew of his power there would be people who would come and challenge his power maybe even some wars might start. "

As he hears Ajuka's true feelings all he can do is just nod in agreement. "But how do feel about him now Ajuka?" Ajuka sighs with a grin on his face scratching his cheek, "now honestly I would miss my science partner if he left. I've grown to know that Anos isn't a bad guy but someone I can trust to save my life if the time ever came.

His understanding of how magic works is far superior to mine. It kind of feels like I have an older brother sometimes." Sirzechs nods agreeing with everything that Ajuka is saying, "I agree but, I can tell you this Anos is torn between our world and his world. "

"Yes, he works diligently on trying to get home all the while living life as if he belongs here. It amazes me how he can bounce back and forth like it's nothing. "

Sirzech then starts to think to himself while listening to Ajuka, as a devil king I should be doing everything in my power to help this foreign entity get home but, as a brother, I don't want him to leave our family behind.

I understand why he has to go back but from what he told us, in his world he was feared by all and ruled for 2,000 years straight while protecting his people. Does a man like him not deserve a break at least.

I couldn't imagine doing something like that all while being in a constant state of war. I finally come out of my thoughts with a puzzled look on his face, "so Ajuka I have to ask have you been stalling him?"

Ajuka's faces take a more serious tone staring daggers into Sirzechs eyes, "No I wouldn't do that to him. Well, it's more like I can't, for one it is Anos's choice to go back to his world, not mine, and second well I wouldn't know how to stall him if I could. We are trying to create something that hasn't ever been thought of so trying to stall his progress wouldn't affect how much progress we have made, which is little to none after 16 years."

I wave him off, "sorry I meant no disrespect I just had to ask. So after these past months since he has been working here, has any progress been made?" Ajuka takes a more serious demeanor walking to the nearest wall and leaning on it saying, "it's hard to say, I'm sure he has already told you that he has learned three new magics.

At first, I thought he was out of his mind but I showed him the books on Nose, Olympian, and Fairy magic, then a few weeks later he mastered all three. With Norse magic he is trying to create something similar to the Bifrost to get home but, it's taking longer since we don't know how the Bifrost was created or even how it works."

"Do you think it could work?" Ajuka rubs his chin and contemplates what Sirzechs said then responds to me saying, "honestly I don't know but I won't be surprised if he finds a way to make it work." Sirzechs just nods in understanding saying, "I see, I just hope Anos will decide to stay here when the time finally comes."

Time Skip to the day Rias departs from the underworld with her peerage at the Gremory train station

"Hey Anos are you gonna miss me, aww don't cry I'll come back and visit," says Rias with a mocking grin on her face. Anos adopts a similar grim on his face and stares back at Rias saying, "yea I'm gonna miss you a lot so I might just have to go in your room."

Ria's grin disappears and starts screaming with her voice louder and louder, "stay out of my room and don't touch my stuff especially my uh, my well you know what I mean."

Anos's grin grows a little longer, "oh you mean you're…." but before Anos can finish his words Rias runs towards him her cheeks flushed, tears coming out of her eyes, with both her hands on Anos mouth stopping him from finishing his sentence. "

Both of you need to remember we are in public and one of you is the head of the family while the other is the Crimson Magical Boy," says Venelana with an exasperated look on her face.

Anos's eye twitches at the name his mother just said, "mother my name is Anos." "I know your name, is something wrong," Anos look up to the sky silently to himself and curses Serafall.

"Achoo," Serafall rubs her nose looks around, and smiles with a cocky grin, "ohh one of my fans must be talking about me." "Sister please stop talking to yourself it's weird."

Serafall jumps onto her sister into a bone-crushing hug, "Oh Sona I'm gonna miss you please call me every hour…wait no every minute…NO, I'll call you once and we can stay on the phone forever and ever just talking about how much we love each other."

"No my schedule would be too busy to do that." "But Sona what if I need to tell you something?" "Then call me." Serafall then twirls with sparkles flying off her body, and at the same time, the train arrives with Sona signaling to her peerage it's time to go.

Serafall finally comes to a stop after twirling around saying," also one more thing bring toilet tissue with you so you won't forget to…wait where did she go?" Lady Serafall "she has already boarded the train with her peerage," says lady Sitri in an annoyed tone at her daughter's antics.

Transition back to the Gremory Family

Zeoticus who is standing right next to his wife touches her shoulder with a smile on his face saying, "it's all right dear they are just having some fun."

Venelana looks at her husband out the corner of her eye and he removes his hand and takes a more serious demeanor saying, "but you two should remember where you are and keep in mind that both of you are royalty and should act that way in public."

Rias nods reluctantly while staring at Anos as if trying to signal to him that this is his fault. Anos closes his eyes with a smirk on his face and nods to his father.

Sirzechs who had been standing in silence chuckles at both his younger brother and sister's little display of affection towards each other, then speaks up saying, "Grayfia, and I will miss you while you are gone."

While Sirzechs is saying this Grayfia is nodding in agreement at her husband's words. Grayfia says in a blank expression but her feelings can be felt through her voice saying, "Yes, lady Rias you will be missed." She says this while giving her a slight bow.

Anos takes a small device with one button on it and says, "Rias here take this, if you ever find yourself in trouble just press the button and I will be there instantly." Rias takes the remote and raises her eyebrow looking at Anos, " just keep the remote on you always you never know what might happen while you are up there.

Also, a little advice doesn't let your pride go to your head." Rias rolls her eyes while shoving the remote in her pocket, "geez you are way more protective than mother and Sirzechs combined. "

Even though Rias says this deep down she always loved how her twin was always trying to protect her from how harsh the world was. The rest of the peerage had been smiling and not interrupting the family as they said their goodbyes to Rias.

Anos steps from in front of Rias and then says to her, "l let me have a word with each one of your peerage members." Rias looks back to her peerage and just shrugs at her brother knowing that he didn't actually ask and was just stating that he was going to.

Anos walks past Rias and to her peerage members minus Gasper since he was sealed in the train already. "Kiba," after being addressed Kiba turns looks up to Anos and gives a slight bow "yes sir," with a questioning tone laced in.

"You are my sister's knight so I need you to protect her for me up there. I also want you to remember the promise you made me, so just remember you have friends you can count on in your time of need. "

Next is Koneko, she looks up to him eagerly waiting for his response but not giving it away with her blank expression. "Koneko your Senjutsu powers have grown since we first met but I know you still feel your powers could betray you but, I can levitate your stress with Rias' permission."

Rias walk up to Anos with a questioning look on her face, "what do you plan on doing?" "With your permission Rias, I have a way to help keep her Senjutsu abilities in check. " Rias looks to Koneko, "it's okay I trust Anos," "sure if Koneko is okay with it I am."

Anos looks down to Koneko with a magic circle on his heart with a stream of magic leaving him then going down to her and a similar magic circle appearing on her chest above her heart then disappearing.

Koneko looks up to him saying, "what did you do?" Anos grins, "I connected your devil powers to mines. I promised you that I wouldn't let your powers go berserk and that's what I'm doing.

Now by connecting our powers I can monitor your Senjutsu and I detect if you are losing control. This spell I created will allow me to suppress it using my magic." As the magic disappears Koneko looks down to her heart with a slight blush on her face then says, "thanks."

Akeno speaks up covering her mouth saying, "well...well sir Anos if you keep doing things like that you might break her little heart." Anos turns to Akeno and his grin disappears, "my sister's queen, you have known my sister longer than the rest of peerage so I have high hopes for you. Protect my sister from the perverted male gender."

After hearing that even Akeno could tell he wasn't joking in the slightest, so her face takes a more serious demeanor knowing that he is deadly serious, and just nods in understanding.

Anos continues by saying, "also a little advice life is short even for immortals, holding anger in life will only hold you and eventually holding your friends back. " Akeno nods at his words understanding what he meant.

"Okay, that's all I have to say I wish you all a safe trip." Anos takes a few steps away and the train that's supposed to take Rias and her peerage to the world above finally arrives.

Rias and her peerage board the train but before the doors close she turns around and looks back at her family and waves at them saying, "bye, hope to see you all soon." Everyone reciprocates her waves and continues waving even after the train finally departs.

Anos walks to Sirzechs and whispers to him, "let's hope your plan works out and our sister doesn't end up hurt." Sirzechs doesn't look at Anos just continues waving at the train while slightly nodding his head.

Hey, guys hope you are enjoying the story so far.

I decided to do a little update on how everything is going.

So first I plan to release chapters on the first and fifteenth of the month and if I might be a little late on releasing a new chapter I will let you guys know ahead of time.

Second I am currently am thinking about doing another fanfiction but haven't figured out how I want the story to go, but don't worry I am currently four chapters ahead on this story and I don't plan on dropping it.

Lastly, I just wanted to thank everyone for reading my fanfiction I am having a lot of fun writing this. See you guys next month.
