Chapter 7 Welcome to Your New Life as a Devil

After Rias and Anos finish eating at the restaurant, they start walking down the street in the direction of the old school building where Rias was staying. "Hey, Anos I have a question?" Anos looks down at his sister who was pressing her fingers together with a small blush on her face. Anos raises his eyebrow saying, "yes, you can ask me anything."

She perks up a little then looks away and blushes more saying, "uhh you know I used to have the hardest time sleeping alone and when we were younger I would sleep in your bed all the time." Anos continues to walk next to his sister now understanding where this was going.

"So I was wondering could you stay with me tonight until I fell asleep." Anos stops walking and burst out laughing in amusement, Rias who was standing there was blushing in both embarrassment and anger. Rias with a pout on her face looks at Anos, "why are you laughing, if you didn't want to you could have just said no."

Anos wipes a small tear from his eyes saying, "I didn't realize that you were still a child after all this time." Rias stares at her brother regretting even asking her question. "But if you need me to hold your hand while you sleep I can do that," Anos says with a teasing grin on his face.

"Could you be any more annoying Anos...is it so bad that I want to spend time with my twin? I mean I know you are busy working with Ajuka on developing new spells, I just wish we could spend more time together like we used to do when we were little." Anos then walks to Rias rubbing her head but Rias just moves his hand away, "hey stop you're messing up my hair." "Fine, I'll stay with you for the night."

Transition to the Old School Building

Both Anos and Rias arrive at the old school building and Anos walks to sit on the couch with Rias walking to the back of the room to shower. Anos looks around the room and after a close examination, he can tell his sister lacks taste when it concerns decorating.

A few minutes pass and Anos can hear the shower stop signaling that Rias is out of the shower, "Hey Rias, when you get dressed there is something I need to talk to you about before you go to bed." A few seconds pass and Rias screams from the shower, "kay, but about what?"

"It is about your pawn," his answer is met with silence then, a few seconds later she comes out in a white bathrobe with panties and a bra. She walks to her desk with a towel on her head to dry her hair, "so what would you like to know about him?"

"Did you let the fallen angels kill that boy so you could reincarnate him as a devil, " Rias caught off guard by the question takes a more serious demeanor, "I mean yes and no, I planned to talk to him for a while but then I found out the fallen angels were targeting him so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to reincarnate him as a devil. While gaining his loyalty for saving his life. "

Anos closes his eyes and nods in understanding his sister's reasoning for letting the boy be killed, "But Rias there are few flaws in your plan…" Rias raises her eyebrow in curiosity as to what could be the flaws in her plan, "one flaw is what if he founds out that you let him die to make him your servant, two what if he grows to hate all fallen angels and have you forgotten your queen is half fallen, third what if he decides not to follow even though you reincarnated him? Now, this means that's we would have a rogue or stray devil with an unidentified sacred gear. "

Rias who was listening closely to his words thinking up a proper response, "Anos why do you always jump to the biggest conclusion, well for your first scenario I didn't intentionally let him at the moment I didn't know if he was in league with the fallen and I didn't wanna risk a fight, for your second scenario I don't believe he would hate all fallen angels just the one who killed him, and for your last, I would just have to persuade him into staying my peerage."

Anos curious about how she would persuade him into staying in her peerage tilts his head slightly, "and how would you that." Rias adopts a cocky grin and looks at her chest slightly then says, "I would let him…" but she stops midway thinking to herself wait if I tell Anos that he will blow a fuse.

Anos was waiting patiently for his sister's response and just waits patiently unaware that his sister's inner turmoil. Rias then looks back up to Anos and with an innocent smile say's, "well don't be alarmed he is a pervert but before you say anything I would tell him if he becomes a high-class devil in my peerage, he could get his own and I know for a fact it would be a harem. "

Rias was waiting for her brother to blow a fuse finding out that her new servant was a pervert. But to her surprise, he is just sitting in silence staring at her picture on the wall and a few seconds pass by and Anos lets out a sigh, "Okay if that is how you want to handle things in your territory I won't protest. Just remember that he is being brought into a whole new side of the world so just take it slow when you start unloading information onto him."

Rias stands from the desk and lets out a yawn and says, "yea I hear you...now can I go to sleep I have school tomorrow?" Anos looks at her with a smirk, "would you still like your big brother to tuck you in?" Rias raises her hand to protest then drops it walking toward her bedroom, "do what you want I'm going to sleep."

"Well, in that case, I shall take my leave," but before Anos could teleport to the underworld Rias pops out of the room saying, "wait I thought you weren't gonna leave until I went to sleep?" Anos turns around and laughs at her saying, "so you do need your big brother to tuck you in." "Just come on and I shouldn't have to say this but tell no one about this," as Rias says this a large blush was forming on her face from embarrassment. Anos just shakes his head grabbing the nearest chair and follows Rias into the room.

Three hours later

In a whisper barely audible, "I have been here for almost three hours and Rias fell asleep almost instantly. So why can't I leave your side little sis." Anos scotches his chair closer to Rias slowly rubbing her head and as he rubs her hair a small smile forms on her face after feeling her brother's warmth.

"How will I ever tell you that I am leaving this world? If there is one thing I don't want to do is break your heart Rias. I have never had a true family so I don't want to lose you but, I can't leave my people behind. I have thought about giving up numerous times but I couldn't live with myself if I didn't try. I have too many people to look after."

Anos chuckles to himself softly, "look at me the Demon King of Tyranny being indecisive but can you blame me Rias I have a family now and a brother who is a king, a father who is the head of the family, a mother who is a strong independent yet, a loving mother. Where do I even fit in, this isn't even my world? I'm not supposed to even be here I'm just intruding on all of your lives. So that's why I can't stay in your world, my little sister."

Anos then stands kisses his sister on her forehead, "I have time before I need to report to Sirzechs, but I still don't know why the fallen are here. But there is something I need to do in Ajukas laboratory." Then Anos teleports to Ajuka laboratory.

The next day with Rias

Rias wakes up with her crimson red hair all over her face and dried drool on her right cheek. She lets out a stretch and yawns while looking around. She then crawls out of bed letting out another loud yawn. She then thinks to herself as she walks to the bathroom to freshen up, "I need to stop by Issei's house to inform him of his new life."

Rias then looks up while brushing her teeth thinking what would have happened if she would have healed him in his room last night and spent the night. Then chuckling a little wishing that she could have seen his reaction to her naked body.

One hour passes and Rias can be seen in her Kuoh Academy uniform standing on top of a teleportation circle. Thinking to herself, Issei should be up by now I think but if he isn't, he will be now. In a flash of red, she then teleports to his front door and knocks on it, then a few moments later a woman's voice can herd saying, "I'll be right there."

Transition to the Hyoudou Residence

The door opens and a couple of seconds later a woman in a white short-sleeve collared shirt with blue pants and white slippers opens the door with a warm smile, "Hello, how may I help." Rias bows slightly and says, "Hi, I am Rias Gremory and I have come to pick Issei up for school."

The woman's eyes go wide and she slowly closes the door. From the other side of the door, Rias can hear the same woman screaming, "Gorou get down here, there is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen at the door and she says she has come to pick our Issei up for school."

Gorou yells back from upstairs in equal amazement, "impossible she must have come to the wrong house ask her again it must be a mistake." The door opens again and the same woman can be seen with a warm smile, "just for clarification do you mean Issei Hyoudou?" Rias just nods with a warm smile on her face and chuckles a little at this whole scenario.

Then once again the door closes slowly and she can hear the same woman yelling, "Gorou she just said she is picking up our Issei. Quick go wake him up and make sure he showers and puts on cologne." "I can't believe it this must be a dream!" From the other side of the door, Rias can hear a loud gasp in disbelief and then footsteps running up some stairs.

The door then opens with the same woman and with her same warm smile saying, "come on in Rias Issei will be down shortly he just woke. Would you like some breakfast? " She then opens the door wider gesturing for Rias to come in, "please come in miss Rias, Issei will be down shortly."

A few minutes pass and both girls are sitting at the table in silence, "umm excuse me miss Hyoudou but I never caught your name," says Rias with a kind smile. The woman who had been sitting at the table looking at the stairs in anticipation looks back to her and with an apologetic smile says, "apologies for my rudeness my name is Miki Hyoudou."

Rias bows slightly, "it is a pleasure to meet you, ma'am." Suddenly two sets of footsteps can be heard coming down the stairs. "Dad I don't know why you keep rushing me but what I don't understand is why you made me put on cologne," says Issei but as he finishes his statement he looks to the table and his mouth drops almost kissing the floor from surprise.

With his dad slapping the back of his head getting him to close his mouth, "you're uhh friend Rias is here to pick you up from school? " Rias gets out of her seat to look at him and greets him with a smile saying, "Hello I have come to pick you up from school." Issei who was still in shock just nods not really understanding what anyone had said since he first saw Rias after coming down the stairs just moments ago.

Rias then walks toward Issei with a warm smile, "you smell good is the cologne," Issei just nods with a dumb-founded look on his face, "good are you ready to leave for school?" Issei shakes his head to get rid of his confusion says, "'uhh...yes ready when you are."

Both Rias and Issei walk out of the Hyoudou residence with both of Issei's parents looking at there with a girl and finally think, "yes maybe our son has finally changed his ways." Rias and Issei have been walking in silence for about ten minutes now, with Issei slowing trailing behind, "uhh hey Rias, not to make it seem like I'm not grateful but why are you walking me to school? I didn't even think you knew I existed."

Rias glances back at him with a smile saying, "well I just wanted to make sure that wound on your stomach healed nicely." Issei who was confused by her answer scratches the back of his head then remembers thinking to himself. How does she know about the dream he had last night, suddenly appearing as though she was reading his mind Rias says, "it wasn't a dream love, though I am a little surprised you are able to move your body even after being healed. Your body must be very resilient to magic."

Issei who is even more confused chuckles saying, "magic? You make it sound like the dream I had was real. Wait how do you know about my dream?" Rias chuckles in her hand at his statement stops and turns to him, "well because it wasn't a dream Issei. Everything that happened last night was real." "Wait are you saying everything that happened last night was real? "

Rias nods, "yes it was all real, and I will gladly answer your question after school. But before we walk onto campus I ask that you tell no one about what happened last night." After saying that I give Issei a warm smile and blushes a little scratching the back of his head, "sure I won't say anything and if what you are saying is true then you must have saved my life. Also, I doubt anyone would believe me if I told them what happened last night"

People can be heard gasping, "What is that pervert doing," "No Rias get away he will get pervert on you," "there's no freaking he must have done her homework," "what is happening is he supposed to be cool now?"

All of this gossip is understandable if you were to see the most perverted person in the school walking onto campus with one of the most beautiful girls in school. Issei who was hearing all of this could do nothing but sigh while thinking to himself, let the gossip game begin, whatever.

Guest that is what happens when you start hanging out with the hottest pair of jugs at school. While thinking this Issei was about to stare at her chest but suddenly felt a cold chill run down his neck and turned around to see what that was then turned back around after hearing Rias say she was going to send someone to fetch him later.

Unknown to Issei a certain older brother was watching the whole scenario after being brought out of his work because he felt someone was about to look at his sister seductively, and as quickly as he came he left to go back to his work in Ajuka laboratory.

Kiba POV

"Hey Kiba," "hello ladies how are you two doing this fine day." After saying this I sigh internally not really caring about their day, so I just do what I usually do and just smile and nod. "Apologies ladies I would to stay and chat but I have something important I need to take care of." I render them both a slight bow and continue towards Issei's classroom. While walking I can hear both girls squealing and all I can do is just shake my head at them.

This is really starting to get out of hand how many times have I been greeted today not even counting the girls who have greeted me more than once in the same day. I look to the left seeing the door to a classroom open and mentally prepare myself for the amount of attention I am about to receive. As I walk into the door like it was expected I can see stars in every girl's eyes and hatred in all the boys.

I address everyone in the room with a bright smile saying, "Hello," while at the same time looking for Issei. I find him by a window seat with the same face as the other boys, I walk to him and greet him with a warm smile, "ahh...there you are," kind of on autopilot after being bombarded with different girls confessing their love, some saying "hey", numerous times to me, with even one of them apologizing for the room not being any cleaner or something.

I see Issei move his mouth and just respond by saying, "excellent, I'm here on an errand from Rias Gremory."Issei was asking me something but at this point, I really just wanted to get away from the girls behind me so I just say, "would you mind coming with me?"

After hearing that I feel a lot of hostile intent being thrown towards Issei, I just turn around with my warm smile and just walk out with Issei behind me. After walking for a while we get to the old school building. I open the door to see Koneko who was already there eating her usual snacks alone.

With Issei saying, "I think I know her." I chuckle to myself about to enjoy what I am about to do, "oh, Koneko Toujou is a first-year and a valued member of the Occult Research Club. My friend Issei here thinks he might know you." After saying this I chuckle to myself with Issei denying it and Koneko just looks at both of us for a few seconds then turns back to eat her snacks.

I can hear the shower running and I can tell what Issei is thinking it can't at all be decent, and if Anos ever finds out he just might kill the boy. I silently think to myself, apologies in Issei advance for what's going to happen when Anos finds out you're a pervert. Koneko also had a sinister look in her eyes saying, "I hope for your sake you aren't thinking anything perverted about our president."

I chuckle at her statement knowing the hidden meaning behind the words. The next to show their appearance is Akeno walking towards Issei and giving him a slight bow introducing herself. Soon after Rias emerges from the shower drying her hair with a towel then.

Normal POV

Rias was standing currently while the rest of her peerage were sitting on two couches, Issei was sitting next to Koneko and Akeno and Kiba were sitting next to each other. Rias starts off by saying, "we'd like to officially welcome you to the Occult Research Club," with Issei giving her hesitant thank. Rias then continues by saying that the name of the club is just a front and that is supposed to be something that looks like some sort of hobby.

Issei leans forward slightly on the couch waiting for her response. But Rias pauses and thinks about the conversation she had with her brother last night. "Well, you should brace yourself because what I am about to tell you will come as a shock." Issei just nods, "I am a devil and at the moment I am not the only one here." Issei's eyes widen a little, "wait is this some kind of a joke because I don't get it?"

Rias just nods expecting this reaction then she extends her bat wings from her back then she gestures to the rest of her peerage and they do the same. Issei stands from his seat taking a few steps back from the shock that they are all devils. Rias tells her peerage to put their wings away because she could tell Issei was freaking out she then takes a few steps toward him and in a soothing voice gets his attention, "hey Issei it's okay we aren't going to hurt you. Unlike how history has portrayed us. Most devils aren't as evil as you may think. " Issei then relaxes a little, "so why am I here?"

"This is about everything that has happened to you in the last few days." "So you are saying that Yuma was real do you know if she is okay?" Rias just shakes her head, "this is going to take a minute...so would you like to sit back down." Issei nods and slowly walks back to the couch sitting next to Koneko glancing at her as if she was about to bite him. Koneko notices this and looks at him out the corner of her eye saying, "don't worry Issei I don't eat perverts."

Issei then slowly scoots in the opposite direction from where Koneko was sitting, "uhh...thanks I appreciate that. So what were you going to explain." Rias nods, "How familiar are you with the bible?" "Not that well. I had a friend who went to church alot but I never went. I just know that God created angels and some fell creating fallen angels. And I think Devils are like evil spirits or something and God hates devils"

"Well, that's a start and the enemy of all devils are Angles and God himself, and there are the things that have attacked you twice, Fallen Angles." Issei slouches down on the couch, "wow so God, Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils are all real. But why are you telling me all this?"

"It's because of the power inside you." After hearing this Issei tilts his head in confusion, "power?" Rias nods understanding his confusion, "yes, long ago the God of the Bible created sacred gears or Gods Artifacts. These are items with powerful abilities bestowed upon humans." "So you think I have one of these Artifacts?"

"The fact that the Fallen have tried to kill you twice lets us know that you have one and it must be a powerful one at that," after saying that a small smirk started to form on Rias's face. Rias then turns slightly picking up a picture then placing it on the table pushing it toward Issei, "do you remember this girl?"

Issei picks up the picture then his eyes widen, "wait you know Yuma is alright I haven't seen...her...since that night?" Rias sighs noticing that Issei hasn't realized who Yuma really was, "Let me be blatantly honest Issei. Yuma doesn't exist the girl you were on a date with was a fallen Angel sent to kill you."

Issei looks back at the picture with him and Yuma talking sadden that his first girlfriend wasn't real, "so what you are saying is the last two days were real and not a dream, but how am I still alive because I thought I died both of those nights? "

"Good question I was hoping you would ask that. Like I said earlier we are all devils but unlike everyone else, I was born a devil while everyone else was reincarnated as devils...just like you." "Issei then stands from the shock wait what I'm a devil how I never agreed to sign my life away."

Rias then remembered again what her brother said from last night, "what if he decides not to follow even though you reincarnated him," Rias walks towards Issei to try and calm him down, "I know, and let me apologize for not asking for your consent first. I was planning to talk to you about reincarnating you but the fallen got to you first. So in order to save your life I had to reincarnate you as a devil so you wouldn't die."

Issei nods then raises's his eyebrow, "thanks but I have to ask you something...did you let them kill me?" After saying that Issei's eyes started to narrow, Rias just shakes her head already prepared for this question, "no I didn't, and if I knew they were going to kill you. I would have already approached you sooner."

"I understand you didn't know if I was working with the Fallen or not so you probably didn't want to pick a fight. So how come no one remembers Yuma?" Rias then walks back to the desk behind her leaning against it, "We can erase human memory and it usually ends up being the best thing for everyone," Rias then pauses noticing that all this information was starting to overwhelm then continues, "after a fallen Angel accomplishes their goal, they erase all memories and records of herself from everyone around the target."

Issei nods understanding Yuma's goal was to kill him because of his sacred gear. "This is why she tried to kill you. Humans with sacred gears can become really powerful and could threaten the underworld. Now Issei would you do me a favor and lift up your left hand? "

Issei then raises his hand stating that he is not very good at catching. Rias tries to get Issei to summon his sacred gear and with his looking between her legs. Akeno gains a teasing smile noticing where Issei was looking, "for your own safety I suggest you look away." Issei then diverts his eyes with a slight blush apologizing. Issei for his part thought that she was passively telling him not to look which was half true, but on the other half, she did it to keep her promise to Anos.

A few hours earlier in the underworld

"Hey, Anos where did you go?" Anos who had teleported back from Kuoh Academy and looks at Ajuka, "nothing I just felt something was off and went to go check on my sister." Ajuka's face was filled with worry and confusion, "is she okay? You were only gone for a few seconds? "

Anos just sits back in his chair reading a book to create spells and combine magic and after a few moments, "yes she is fine but I can't say the same for a certain individual. " Ajuka just rubs it off as Anos being overprotective again of his little sister knowing that if somebody tried messing with her he was as good as dead, "hey Anos how has your progress come, I am almost done over here?"

"Anos looks up from the magic circle he was currently messing around with, "yes I have things about wrapped up ready to begin?" Anos creates a magic circle teleporting both of them to the dimensional gap then casts a few barriers around Ajuka so he doesn't get crushed by the pressure of the gap. Then both Anos and Ajuka raise their magic circles to each other, currently, Anos had a modified greek teleportation circle while Ajuka had a modified Norse teleportation circle after Anos taught him how to use it.

Anos current theory was since the dimensional dap was the world between worlds. So all he had to do was find his in between this one when the magic circle collided nothing happened for a few seconds but then there was a small spark of light that began to swirl and a one-way window appeared revealing a forest being consumed by a massive thunderstorm. Both men look inside through the window at the new unknown world in front of them.

There was a shack that look like it had seen better days with a hole in the top there was snow all around indication that snow had fallen recently but that's not what captured Anos and Ajuka's, there were two men no Gods and from the power emanating from both of them powerful ones at that. One man had red tattoos all over his body and was holding an ax that appeared to have Norse runes on them. While the other man was in a black coat and was reaching for something on his hip.

Ajuka looks to Anos in concern, "is this your world Anos?" Anos shakes his head with his eye's narrowed, "no but I believe we have stumbled across another world." Then a crack appears on the mirror grabbing the devil's attention, Anos turns to Ajuka, "quick cancel your magic circle and I will do the same for mine." After saying that both Anos and Ajuka cancel both their teleportation circles and teleport back to the underworld, Ajuka had a puzzled look on his face, while Anos had his eye's clothes thinking to himself, "Anos I think those were gods from another world. I could sense their magic it was similar to the Norse magic from ours but was slightly different."

Anos nods then open his eyes in realization, "now this is starting to make sense. There have to be other worlds other than ours possibly an infinite number of worlds." "Yes, that would make sense, because we tried a demon magic circle but nothing happened probably because it wasn't specific enough to your world specifically. So if we want to find your specific world we have to get as specific as possible when it comes to finding it."

Anos nods in agreement, "but it still doesn't make sense how we got through that world specifically I have tried demon teleportation circles in the past but nothing worked so why did those two work? But that doesn't matter we finally made a breakthrough and a setback." Ajuka tilts his head in confusion, "set back and confusion can you elaborate more?"

Anos nods, "We just found out there are more worlds than just mine or yours which means there could be an infinite number of worlds. This means in that infinite number my world is somewhere in there but that is also the problem with the infinite worlds they are always growing every second which is going to make it harder to find my specific world." Ajuka sighs, "yea I see your point but this is progress, so I can't complain." Anos nods, "well let's get back to work."

End Chapter

Hope you guys liked the ending someone of you may recognize what Ajuka and Anos saw through the window. It took me a minute to come up with a way to make it harder for Anos but also one that makes sense.

Also after chapter ten I am doing a Q&A about the story but won't be giving away any spoilers.
