Chapter 20 A Brothers Resoldierve and Decision

On the outside, Anos's face was calm and stoic and wasn't betraying anything but the ones who knew his true identity knew his eyes were telling a completely different story. They were his true emotions, since coming to this world they very few things that set Anos or truly mad, and one at the top of the list was people who made his sister cry.

So when he watched Riser mock, belittle, make fun of, or harass his little sister he wanted nothing more but to show him what true power is. Back in Delsagde when his people would come to for help or guidance with tears in their eyes, he wouldn't waste a moment helping the best he could.

So when all he could do is watch as Rias and the people who he grew up with get beaten it stung more than he wanted it to because he had the power to help but he couldn't in order to keep his identity secret but he understood he couldn't fight all their battles.

It was times like these when he wanted to say screw keep it secret and lend his support but this was his sister's battle so he had to stay calm.

During the rating game, Mittelt was as silent as a mouse since she was in the presence of high-class devils and one of the Devil Kings, so she really didn't have a place to speak on anything even though no one said she couldn't.

But for a majority of the rating game, she kept glancing at Anos at certain moments and he wasn't reacting but his eyes were telling her everything she needed to know. Mittelt wasn't the only one Grayfia, Sirzechs, Zekram, and Venelana noticed also from time to time too, they knew he wouldn't jump down there and help.

But in all honesty, what could they do if Anos tried to, at this point in time he exceeded every faction in the world, with the only ones who could face him now being the two Dragon Gods and the Trihexa.

Shiva could probably hold his own for a while but in the end, he would defiantly lose, Shiva could have beaten Anos in the early years when he first arrived.

After the game ended everyone was talking except for Anos who definitely hadn't gone unnoticed, they were discussing the time for the wedding. So when Anos stood abruptly grabbing everyone's attention and started walking toward the door with Mittelt following behind.

"Anos where are you going," says Lord Gremory, "I am going to go check up on Rias and her peerage I bet they aren't in high hopes right now, and plus I doubt you all need my assistance planning a wedding."

Anos then leaves abruptly but no one stops him, "hey Anos are you okay you seem a little mad," Anos glances down at Mittelt while they walk to the medical bay, "I am fine I thank you for your concern."

Even though Anos said that MIttelt could it wasn't true he had the same look in his eyes when he made that promise to her. After a minute of walking they reach the first room which happened to be Akeno's, Anos knocked a few times then heard from the other side her say, "come in."

He opened the door to see Akeno wrapped in bandages with a smile, her eyes were closed and her sleeve was wet. "Hello, Akeno I see your smile is as fake as the day we first," Akeno's eyes snap open and they were red showing that had been crying and her smile turns to a frown, "excuse me…IIIII don't know what you mean," she says tilting her head reforming her smile.

A Few Minutes Earlier

After being forcibly teleported from the rating game Akeno had been treated for her wounds, for a while she was unconscious and she finally awakened right when Koneko slammed her Rasengan.

She was happy because it seemed like they were going to win but her excitement was short-lived as seconds later she watched as Kiba and Koneko get retired in the most horrifying way.

Then that horror changed back to excitement as she watched Issei go into his balance breaker and high Riser one-on-one, and found herself leaning forward waiting in anticipation after Issei unleashed his final attack.

She was hopeful she wanted her friend to prevail but his hope was short lives as she watches Riser rise from the crater with a smirk that made her feel sick inside. So when Issei started walking toward him she could nothing but cry and scream at the screen for him to stop but her words weren't going to reach him.

So when Rias accepted defeat her heart shattered as waves of tears started flying from her face, then a new emotion formed in her heart hatred.

The hatred wasn't directed toward Riser but toward herself, she hated that she couldn't do more, she hated that she wasn't able to do more. She wasn't able to even retire one person, she was the queen, she was supposed to be the strongest person in the peerage but she basically did nothing.

So she hated that she was so useless to everyone then she started thinking that maybe they actually didn't need her help. Akeno was completely absorbed in her emotions at this point she could even hold her voice back as all of her emotions came flooding out.

She wanted to do more and she could only blame herself if only she would have just disregarded her hatred for Mittelt and just accepted Anos's training she would have been strong enough to defeat Yubelluna on her own and help everyone ganged up on Riser as planned.

Akeno stops crying when a knock comes to the door, she wipes her tears with her sleeve and says, "come in," putting on a fake smile and closed her eyes to hide the evidence that she was crying.

The door opens to reveal Anos and Mittelt and Anos says something that completely surprises her, "hello Akeno I see your smile is as fake as the day we first," Akeno's eyes snap open they were red showing that had been crying and her smile turns to a frown, "excuse me…IIIII don't know what you mean," she says tilting her head reforming her smile.

Anos grabs a chair from the corner and puts it in front of her bed, "I said your smile looks as fake as ever…now how are you really doing?" Akeno's smile drops and as she opens her eyes revealing that they were red confirming Anos's theories that she had been crying.

Akeno looks away, "terrible…I tried…I really did I fought tooth and nail to defeat her but it wasn't enough and now Rias is doomed to marry Riser."

Akeno snaps her head to Anos unable to hold back her tears at this point, "everyone fought their hardest and what did I do nothing, everything I basically did amounted to nothing. I am useless a disgusting halfbreed who can't even protect her friends, I am weak and don't deserve to stand next to Rias I should just."

Anos then does something that catches Akeno off guard he pulls her into a tight embrace rubbing the back of her head and stopping her tears from flowing.

"Uhhh…Lord Anos what are you doing," "Akeno you are being to hard on yourself," Akeno clenches her fist and starts crying again, "how can I not be everyone contributed more to fight than me, but what did I do nothing that's what. I'm sorry I should have protected Rias and I didn't."

Anos then lets Akeno go and stares into her eyes they were cold and she was scared thinking that he was mad at her. Then the tone of his eyes changes as a soft smile forms, "I'm not mad at you Akeno everything that happened today is not your fault."

Akeno then fires back while staring into his eyes, "how can you not I wasn't able to fulfill my role as Rias queen and she has lost her freedom, and plus I am a Fallen."

Anos does something to Akeno's complete confusion, he flicks her forehead, "ouch," "let me make one thing clear I am not mad at you Akeno you are like family," Akeno was about to respond but Anos continues.

"And I have never cared about you being a Fallen frankly it didn't matter to me but what I cared about was how you were dealing with your anger. You never talked about it to anyone and barely spoke to Rias about it. I wanted to help but Rias long ago told me to let you deal with your emotions yourself so I did."

For years Akeno thought Anos held slight resentment that she was a Fallen but now she was finding out he didn't. Anos then rubs Akeno's head easing more of her frustration and worry with every stroke, "and plus how could I be mad at someone I see as a sister."

Akeno's eyes went wide in surprise, "I'm proud of you and I doubt anyone would say you didn't give it your all." Akeno then wraps Anos in a warm embrace and says in a soft voice, "thank you," as tears start to fall from her face.

The two stay like that for a few seconds with Anos pulling away and standing in his chair, "well I have to be going, I need to check up on everyone else." Akeno nods and Anos walks to the door but stops when Akeno calls to him, "uhhhh…big brother," Anos then turns with a raised eyebrow, "sorry I just," but he raises his hand getting her to stop, "it's fine how can I help?"

"I want you to train me in how to use true lightning," says Akeno in a tone that she was ready to do anything to get stronger. Anos smirks and nods then walk out to go to the next room which happened to be Kiba's, he knocks and doesn't hear an answer.

Anos and Mittelt wait a few seconds and were about to walk away thinking that Kiba must have been sleeping then he answers, "come in." Anos opens the door to see Kiba with bandages around his arm and legs and a cast around his neck, "how are you going Kiba."

Kiba responds in a strained voice, "fine the nurses left a while ago to get me Phenex tears since healing magic can't fix a lot of my injuries." Anos lifts his hand toward Kiba with a green magic circle forming completely healing all of Kiba's injuries in seconds, "whoah how did you do that not even the nurses could heal me?"

"Nothing is impossible with magic, remember that, as long as you have an imagination then you can do anything with it. Now that your injuries are healed how are you feeling mentally."

Kiba sits in the bed and rolls his shoulders finding no discomfort and responds back by saying, "well we lost so I'm not in the best of moods due to that but honestly I have no regrets so I don't feel completely miserable. Probably because I fought tooth and nail to the end."

Anos finally smirks which didn't go unnoticed by Kiba since he walked in, "glad to hear is there anything you need from me?" Kiba nods, "yes sir…I want you to train me more," Anos tilts his head in confusion, "I suppose you mean in your swordsmanship but why isn't your master teaching enough?"

"Yes he is but I want to learn even more sword techniques and when we spared your style was unknown to me, so I want to learn from you," Kiba then bows his head, "so please Lord Anos take me under your wing?"

Anos then thinks for a moment he really didn't have a sword style but he could lend a little advice here and there and plus Kiba reminded him of someone, "fine I teach what I know but this won't be like you're training with Souji I will be taking off the training wheels."

Kiba sweet drops a little but nod anyway, "thank you, Lord Anos," "no problem now rest I healed your injuries, not your fatigue," Kiba nods a lays back down in his bed now that sleeping should be easier.

The duo walk out the Kiba's room and to the next, "you really can't help helping those who need you can you," Anos looks down to Mittelt who has a goofy smirk, "I never knew it was so wrong to help those in need," he says back to her.

"I'm just saying, it's a rare trait to have in this as a devil or well you know," "if you think that devils are only fueled by their desires then you need to broaden your horizon." Anos and Mittelt approach Koneko's room then see five nurses rush inside with Anos stopping one of them, "excuse me ma'am what's going on."

The nurse stops and bows, "hello Lord Anos, well it's not good the girl is failing and we are struggling to keep her alive. We were given one Phenex tear just in case people got injured but we never thought everyone would get this injured."

The nurse then runs back into the room to help the others, Anos looks into the room to see Koneko unconscious with different tubes connected to her body feeding her oxygen and fluids.

Her entire face was wrapped in bandages, the nurses were doing everything they could to heal Koneko but they were losing her due to her face being burnt to a crisp along with the numerous holes in her body from the holy swords which were making it harder to heal the wounds.

"What are you waiting for go help Anos," says Mittelt with worry forming on her face Anos's eyes narrow and he closes them and says, "give me a second." In a flash of red Anos then teleports leaving a confused Mittelt then reappears again but now he wasn't alone, Asia was with him.

Without saying a word Asia then darts into the room, the nurses were about to stop her but noticed as soon as Asia started using her sacred gear one by one Koneko's wounds stopped bleeding and started healing.

"I see so went and got Asia so she could heal her," "yes I already assessed Koneko's situation and if it was a lot more life-threatening I would have healed her right then and there but I saw she would have survived for a while. Then I figured this would have been great practice for Asia and I sensed where she was and teleported her here."

After healing all of the holes in Koneko's body Asia moved on to Koneko's face and started to heal her and after a few minutes the nurses look on in amazement and bowed to Asia thanking her, "good job Asia I knew you could do it," says Anos as Mittelt and him walk inside with the nurses clearing out to give them privacy to talk.

Mittelt then lunges from behind Anos to hug Asia rubbing her face against her cheek, "that's right Asia you're a healing genius," "ahhh geez thanks Mittelt that means a lot, and thank you too, Lord Anos."

But Anos's attention was completely directed toward Koneko who was still unconscious he then rubs her head and she unconsciously smiles feeling his touch, "you did good Koneko I will return when you are awake," says Anos in a soft whisper.

"No," says Koneko making Anos chuckle softly, "I see you are already awake," "I awoke the minute Asia finished healing my face and was just acting sleep when I felt your presence."

"Oh really glad to see you are doing better now how are you doing," "I was careless if I wouldn't have hesitated then I wouldn't have gotten pierced by those holy swords and I would have been able to help better."

"It's fine Koneko you fought a hard fight but if it wasn't for those holy swords the battle would have gone differently," when Anos said that he had a caring smile but there was a spark of something in his eyes that Koneko didn't miss.

After a few more minutes of talking they all leave Koneko's rooms allowing her to get some rest, then they made their way toward Issei's and then to Rias.

The door to Issei's room was wide open and Ddraig was talking, "partner you fought to your last breath there was nothing left for you to accomplish." "I know but I can't help but wish if I would have," but Anos cuts him off, "would have what exactly Issei? From my point of view, you fought to the last breath meaning that you put everything on the line along with the rest of your peers."

Issei slams his fist on the bed making it shake, "I know but I still wasn't strong enough to save anyone I'm a failure and I don't deserve this power."

Then Anos says something that makes Issei's morale drop further, "true you are weak and you probably don't deserve that power," but Anos continues bringing back light to Issei's eyes, "but so what it is your power make it your own, what I saw today wasn't the power of a weakling but a preserver and maybe even a hero in some twisted way."

Anos smiles warmly but Mittelt eyes widen in surprise as they bounce from Anos to Issei, there was only one person Anos considered a true hero and from what Anos told her about him even she couldn't deny that he sounded like more of a hero than anyone she knew.

Issei then jumps from the bed and bows at a perfect ninety-degree angle, "please make me stronger, I want to be able to protect those close, first I was too weak to save Asia and she died, and now I was still not strong enough to save the president. So please Lord Anos continue to train me I want the power to save my friends."

Anos smirks and places his hand on Issei's shoulder, "with that much determination in your voice how could I say no," Issei smiles and Anos continues, "but saying that there are some major qualities that are you lacking but we can discuss that later as well as this," says Anos while pointing at his chest where his heart making sweet bullets, "uhh…yes sir I understand."

Anos walks out and was about to close the door but stops, "by the way I see you used that move again we will be to talk about that later," Issei's entire body goes limp and his entire body shivers.

Anos walks out and looks at Asia who he figured was staying with Issei, "you're not staying with Issei," Asia glances at Mittelt who was holding her hand looking off the side nervously, "well Mittelt asked me to walk with her."

Anos smirks at Mittelt and coughs to clear her nervousness, "well it's kind of boring just walking in silence with you, and plus I find Asia's company more enjoyable," says Mittelt as her cheeks turn crimson.

"Along as Asia fine with it I don't have a problem," the three then make their way to where Rias should have been but there was a problem, when they turned the corner they were presented with Sona talking to some nurses with Tsubaki standing in silence and it was clear that a disagreement was happening.

"I don't see how that matters to me, we have been friends since we are little," says Sona getting a little more ticked off, "I understand Lady Sona but we are under orders to not allow any in." Sona's eyes narrow then to her curiosity the three nurses blocking the door to Rias room looked up from her as their expressions rapidly turned to horror.

Sona turned around along with Tsubaki to see Anos standing down the hall, he wasn't smiling his normal smile, his eyes were cold and he wasn't looking at her but at the door, like he could see what was inside.

Anos walked toward them casually not blinking as everyone watched him, every footstep was soft but in a silent hallway, it carried volumes so when he stopped in front of Sona and Tsubaki all he said was, "excuse me," and both girls just took a few steps back.

"Ummm…Lord Anos, you aren't allowed in in in in uhhh…" but she loses her words as Anos looks down at her and back to the door, "move or be moved I won't say it again." The girls back into the door and step out the way as Anos lifts his hand and walks toward the door completely knocking it off its hinges to see Riser kissing Rias who was obviously not enjoying herself.

She was squeezing her skirt with tears running down her face, next thing that happened was faster than anyone could comprehend, one second Riser was on the bed next there was a hole in the wall followed by a sound scream.

There was a crack on the floor where Anos was standing and now he was standing defensively in front of Rias staring at the giant hole in the wall. Riser steps through the hole looking around frantically to see who dare touch him then his eyes land on Anos who was glaring at him, "do you have any idea what you have done?"

"What I have done you say…what do you think you were doing," says Anos in a calm tone but deep done he was anything but calm, "she is my wife so back off we had a deal or should I kill you here and now," Riser then lunges at Anos igniting his fist to strike Anos in the face, everyone present yells at Riser to stop but to everyone's surprise, he catches the punch.

Riser increases the flames causing Anos's hand to start burning making Riser smirk, "trying to act tuff are we," Anos then uses his opposite hand to grab Riser by the neck and uses his other to yank off Riser's arm, he then slams Riser into the wall while his eyes glowed dangerously.

"Congratulations Riser you have done something no one else has in a long time but luckily for you, killing you here and now would cause more problems than necessary, so I will say this once and never again. You touch Rias again without her permission and there will be no force on earth or heaven that will stop me from killing you and if you don't believe me I dare you to try it again."

Anos's tone wasn't demanding or threatening nor was he yelling he said it like a statement like he was reading a script, but the fact that he was still strangling Riser on the wall along with him being cold Anos threat was made clear.

On the outside he was as calm as a sleeping baby which is probably why everyone else was so calm, anyone would else would have raised their voice or done something to show their anger but, Anos had been in a war that lasted two thousand years straight so he has had plenty of time and practice to keep his emotions in check.

Then Riser said something that awoke something in Anos, "you wouldn't dare," Anos's eyes widen as a new emotion formed on his face that made Riser slightly wet himself, thanks to Anos's back being toward everyone they couldn't see his face but they all had a cold chill run down their back, from the presence Anos was releasing.

Riser has seen a lot of Anos's facial expressions but this was new, his head was tilted to the side and he had a predatory smirk that said he was hoping he said something like that, then what Anos said made him take a deep gulp, "really…let's make a deal," Riser was going to say yes but something deep down told him not to, "Anos the bird get its."

Anos sighs and drops Riser he knew that dry expressionless voice all to well, "like I said Riser you touch my sister with her permission again you're a dead man," Anos turns to walk away but pauses, "that also applies to anyone in her peerage," Anos then walked to Rias who had dried tears on her face, "Rias, sorry I didn't arrive sooner?"

Rias nods while wiping away her tears, "I didn't know what else to do he said if I didn't place nice my friends were going to be killed," Anos took a deep breath and sighed, and looked out the door to see Rin standing in front of Mittelt and Asia.

While this was happening the nurses attempted to sneak away to escape punishment but was stopped by Sona, "and where do you think you were going," Sona was absoldierutely livid, she was already aggravated because the nurses wouldn't let her inside so when Anos revealed what was going on inside she was ready to attack Riser.

She had a hand raised ready to release a burst of water toward him but before she knew it Anos was standing in front of Rias and now there was a hole in the wall, so when she saw the three nurses walking away her anger was diverted toward them, "apologies Lady Sona we have duties to attend to so we…"

But she narrows her eyes as her aura flares, "you do know endangering a noble devil is punishable by death," the girls start to plead for their life, "you will not speak of anything you saw do you understand."

After the devil civil war, there was an unwritten rule that pure-blooded devils were supposed to handle all disputes through rating games or any other form that didn't involve fighting, so if it got out that Anos attacked Riser even though he did it to defend Rias, it could still be frowned upon but she was ready to attack Riser as well.

The nurses nod furiously and Sona waves her hand for them to leave, Sona turns back to see a new face standing in front of Mittelt and Asia, "Rin when did you get here," Rin turns her head to Sona and says, "just now," then looks back to Anos who was walking out the door.

"Before I leave Riser that threat extends to everyone in Rias peerage," but before Riser could protest Anos walks out, "Anos where are you going," says Rias, he stops and turns to her, "cheer up Rias I know you are marrying this guy but it's your engagement party day, plus I have something to attend to," Anos then looks to Sona, "could you keep an eye on Rias for me?"

Sona nods then her eyes widen when she finally remembers why she came here in the first place, "I almost forgot," she then positions herself in the front of the door, "come Rias I know this is going to suck but we have to go buy your dress."

Rias nods and stands from the door reluctantly and walks toward, "Mittelt, Asia go with the devils I need to have a word with Anos," everyone raises an eyebrow as they look toward Rin, "what," says Rin as she tilts her head curiously at Anos, he nods and says, "you guys go with them apparently this is serious."

Riser walks out of the room and fixes his clothes before narrowing his eyes at Anos and saying something under his breath before leaving, "it's fine they can help us pick too."

Anos watches as the girls leave leaving him with Rin, "how can I help you," "let's go somewhere secluded," Anos nods and teleport them both to the forest where they fought last time with Ophis raising a barrier.

"Now what did," but he stops and catches a punch aimed for his face, "what are you doing," but Ophis doesn't say anything and opens her mouth with purple flames building up.

He raises an eyebrow and tosses her to the side throwing off her aim, "Ophis what's going on," "helping," Anos raises his eyebrow and says under his breath, "helping?"

She nods and lungs at Anos in less than a blink of an eye but that was more than enough time to turn to the left dodging her attack. "How is fighting me helping," "I have seen over five hundred years' worth of your memories so I can read your emotions as clearly as I see you now. The others couldn't but I could sense your rage and blood lust. Then I thought of two things entire I give you my body or I can let you vent your emotions through combat. So I chose combat since mating isn't ever on your mind."

Anos smirks, "I see so you really put a lot of thought into this," "yes you almost lost control of your emotions which could hinder my plans of getting my home and visiting your world."

Ophis's aura then explodes from her body, "I know you rarely got to release your full power without restraints…so you can fight me or sit there and get beaten to a pulp," Ophis then without giving Anos a chance to answer lunges at him ready to blow him away with a single punch, inches before striking his face.

Anos catches Ophis's punch and smirks, "you didn't give me a chance to answer, you really that eager to fight me again," in truth Ophis was deep down had been waiting to fight him again.

Ophis looks down and sees a magic circle over Anos's heart, it was spinning rapidly and slowing down by the second, she breaks out of Anos's grasp and watches the magic circle slowly stop spinning like a timer ticking down.

She knew what the magic circle was, it was the spell Anos had been using to suppress his power since coming to this world and he was now releasing it. The magic circle stops spinning as a shock wave of power bursts from his body, causing the surrounding air to grow a hundred times heavier but to Ophis she couldn't tell the difference.

Before the magic she always sensed was never as dense and powerful as this she could now clearly sense the difference between normal devil magic and his own magic. It was more potent and powerful darker and yet mysterious, "so this is what the power of the founding ancestor feels like," Ophis says mentally.

Usually, it was a like a fog over his true power she could tell it was there but she could never feel it, but now she could clearly sense Anos full power and all she could do was widen her eyes slowly in respect, Anos lets out a deep breath as a combination of black, reddish, and purple aura starts to emerge from his body.

Then in an explosion, his aura erupts with a smirk forming, "if you survive this don't let me forget you to thank you I have sixteen years' worth of built-up aggravation."

Anos cracks his fingers with Ophis just waiting patiently, Anos lifts his hand with a magic circle forming that Ophis has never seen before with a black sun forming like last time.

Unlike last time this didn't radiate nearly anything close to the power she sensed last time, it was ten times more powerful. In response 100 snakes this size of Titanoboa's erupt from the ground with Ophis releasing her wings and horns with her teeth and horns getting sharper.

There was silence as the two just watch each other then Anos released his attack with Ophis extending her finger to Anos with the snakes slithering at high speeds toward him. The attacks collide creating a flash of a white light engulfing the entire barrier.

One Hour Later

The area inside the barrier was a complete wasteland with a single tree standing, there were hundreds of craters in the ground along with massive flames everywhere, in the center of the battlefield were Anos and Ophis, Anos was bleeding from his head with one of his arms missing while Ophis wasn't bleeding but her horn was cracked, along with one her wings being broken along with a massive hole in her stomach.

"What does that make this four to three," Ophis's eyes narrow, "no it is three to three that other time didn't count I wasn't paying attention." Anos chuckles as steam emits from his body healing his wounds, "not my fault you can't counter all of my attacks," "my flames are then enough to burn away anything that you threw at me," "if that were true then our battle would have gone differently."

Ophis's horn reforms along with her wings healing, "how about another round," "I wouldn't mind but I have a wedding to get to so I can't play around with you anymore."

Ophis looks around at the area and then says, "won't this raise alarms if someone sees a barren wasteland in the middle of a forest," Anos looks around himself at the barren wasteland created by their fight but he wasn't worried, "it's fine this forest is magic it will grow back in a few minutes."

Ophis nods and Anos teleports them back to his room to get ready, "you may want to fix your clothes they are a bit burnt and torn," Ophis nods as her body is engulfed in a purple glow as her clothes are repaired, "will this suffice or should I change clothes to fit the occasion more."

"No, it's fine as far as anyone knows you are my maid so the maid uniform is fine for now," Anos then walks to the bathroom to get ready and starts a mental conversation with Rin, "so how are things going with the organization, " "apparently the fallen angel leader Kokabiel wanted my assistance for something but I arrived too late to find out what but luckily Vali was tasked by Azazel to look for him so once I see him again I will ask for more information on what he is planning."

"Interesting I have a feeling it may have something to do with Kuoh along with Sona and Rias but as of now it is still unclear but I am certain it has to do with restarting the war," Anos walks out of the shower in a towel making Rin's eyes widen slightly then return to their normal position, "true but I have a question for you."

"And what might that be," "you said you didn't plan on killing Red, so what if you aren't going to kill him then what is your plan." Anos walks to a drawer and puts on pants and a dress shirt, "as far as I know dragons only acknowledge power and respect power so I plan to fight him, and if I win he leaves, and if he wins then that's that but by the time I am ready to fight him. It will certainly be my victory and will you only be watching or will you join the fight."

Rin nods as Anos walks to the mirror to fix his suit and tie, "I never considered it but I wouldn't mind joining the battle but the problem is the world may not survive our two-on-one battle," Anos smirks, "true but I have an idea for that," "do you care to share or leave me guessing," "I will share once the time comes can't have you getting too excited."

Rin raises an eyebrow as Anos does his hair, "excited? I don't…well that used to be true to a certain extent but you can't possibly know that once I hear your idea," Anos shrugs and walks to the mirror for a final checkup, "who knows," "I see you are still as cryptic as ever but fine as long as you perform your Zecht I have no worries. I see you have finished changing are you ready to leave?"

"Yes and again how do think I look," Rin tilts her head and she was silent for a few seconds then walks toward Anos and sniffs him twice, "I am still not adept at telling fashion but as a dragon, my sense of smell is high so you smell different."

Anos raises an eyebrow, "would you say in a good or bad way," "well I don't dislike it so...good," Anos nods and walks toward the door, "by the way Anos where is the Fallen," "Mittelt...is most likely with Asia probably already there or on the way," Anos and Rin where about to leave but stop as a communication circle forms next to Anos and he answers it, "hello brother if you are asking where I am…I am headed there now…okay then what is it…you and Grayfia came up with a plan that could free Rias, involving Issei…okay then do tell…not bad but this plan depends on the strength of Issei…well I guess we can just hope."

The line ends and Anos walks out with Rin "what was that," Rin says as they make their way to the engagement party, "it appears the Devil King Lucifer has a plan to free my sister and it requires a bit of my interference as long as a certain red dragon emperor doesn't oppose."

Anos and Rin walk for a few minutes and arrive at two double doors with two butlers standing in front of it, they approach and the doors open to reveal an enormous party for more than a hundred high-class devils inexpensive dresses and suits, Anos looks around to see some familiar faces first he sees Rias and Riser standing together talking to some member of the devil council, Rias and his eyes connect and he sends her a teasing smirk with a wink.

Rias rolls her and lifts her arm faking a stretch to secretly flick him then she adopts a similar teasing smirk, then he finally sees his Mittelt talking to Rias peerage along with Ravel, he starts to walk in that direction but is stopped when a young man with black hair and violet eyes steps in front of him with a humorous smirk, "how's it going Anos its been a while. When are we going to spar again, I have taken your critiques to heart and I have gotten stronger?"

Anos chuckles, "Sairaorg it's good to see you as well and, let me make some time in my schedule and I will let you know," Sairaorg glance to the left of Anos and sees Rin, "whose the maid," "she is my personal maid," Sairaorg raises an eyebrow, "interesting."

Sairaorg face becomes more serious while crossing his arms and gestures toward his parents with his head along with Lord and Lady Phenex talking a few feet away, "so how do you feel about this whole arranged marriage thing?"

"Well at this point my opinion doesn't matter but I would be more open to it if she was marrying someone else besides Riser or if she actually cared about him," Sairaorg nods agreeing with everything that Anos was saying, "yea I completely agree," then a smirk forms on Sairaorg's face, "I heard you have a peerage now so does that mean you will be competing?"

"No that's not why I started my peerage," "I see keeping all the secrets to yourself, well that's good enough for me we all got them right but I don't want to take up to much of your time it was good seeing you talk to you soon."

"Yes it was good seeing you as well," Sairaorg walks away with Anos walking towards his mother and father, then hears Rin speak to the telepathically, "Anos the devil you were talking to is he good at concealing his magic because I could not sense any."

"You can't sense any devil magic because he doesn't have any. My cousin was born without any magic of his own," "I see that makes more sense and where are you going now," "I am going to go talk to Mittelt who is with Asia and everyone else a few feet."

After greeting a few devils along the way Anos reaches everyone in a semicircle around a standing table, "hello everyone how are you feeling," says Anos waving at everyone at the table grabbing their attention. "I am fine I just have an annoying chicken in my ear," "shut it Koneko it won't be long until I am your new master," barks back Ravel bitting a slice of cake.

Anos raises an eyebrow, "new master" "yes Lady Ravel offered to be our new master if Rias is unable to continue being our king so we aren't labeled rogues and sent to death," says Kiba earning a nod from Ravel.

"I know my brother said a lot of hurtful stuff during the rating game is I figured once I got Rias permission as well as theirs I would bring up to my parents to ask Devil King Beelzebub for my pieces as a sign of good faith."

"Lady Ravel I don't think you should hang around a bunch of losers they could rub off on you," says Shuriya but gets immediately punched by Karlamine, "shut it Shuriya," Shuriya was going to yell at Karlamine for punching her but Siris pinches her arm, "ouch what is with you too," the three girls stop in front of everyone earning a glare from Ravel.

"I am not the only pureblooded devil here girls show some respect," finally having realized Anos was standing there they bow their heads respectfully, "apologies Lord Anos we didn't see you there," says Siris and scoffs when she hears Shuriya say under her breath, "I mean who would notice a devil who lost his birthright."

Karlamine and Siris both elbow Shuriya causing her to yelp, "apologies Lord Anos she will be reprimanded later," "it's fine if I cared about what every weakling said I would probably be made at almost the entire underworld," says Anos earning a chuckle from everyone except Shuriya who just smacked her lips.

"So what are you three doing here," says Ravel getting defensive, "well Siris and I came to say something to Kiba and when Shuriya heard that she tagged along too," Kiba raised an eyebrow and sat his drink down and walked forward.

"You three came to speak to me why," Karlamine and Siris glance at each other than say together, "we declare you our rival and will come back one day to challenge," then Siris speaks for both of them.

"At first the both of us thought of you as nothing more than a weakling who could barely swing a sword but we were both wrong, you outclassed us both in every aspect," then Karlamine picks off up where Siris left off, "yes, so we have decided to get stronger in order to beat you one on one in the future. So make sure your skills aren't lacking when we decide to fight you again."

Siris then reaches inside her skirt pulling out a pen and notepad, "I have one question before we leave who taught you how to wield a sword," Kiba chuckles nervously while rubbing the back of his head, "

sure I would be happy to take you guys on and anytime and for my teacher well I can't really say because it's supposed to be a secret but Lord Anos is actually the second person to train me and is the reason why I awakened my two new swords."

Karlamine and Siris snap their heads to Anos with Karlamine pulling out her own pen and pad and start bombarding him with questions, "who taught you how to wield a sword," "what is your sword style," "are you left or right-handed," "what kind of sword do you use," "can you teach us too," Anos sighs and glances at Kiba who nervously looks away.

Anos then looks back to Sirs and Karlamine who were eagerly waiting for his response with their pen and pencils ready, "if you want to grow your power as a swordsman all you have to do is strengthen your speed, power, and skill nothing more nothing less."

The girls raise an eyebrow with Shuriya bursting out laughing, "really that's the most basic answer you could have given," Kiba then interjects saying, "it may sound basic but that's all Lord Anos helped me with and if it wasn't for that I wouldn't be as strong as I am now."

Karlamine and Siris nod and bow their heads toward Anos and thank him for his advice as Shuriya just rolls her eyes, "well it's my turn step aside girls," but Ravel steps between Shuriya and Kiba, "you are dismissed Shuriya."

Shuriya rolls her eyes and walks away with Siris and Karlamine following suit, "allow me to apologize on her behalf Kiba and to you as well Anos. There are some people in the peerage who don't like you."

Anos just shrugs, "it's fine nothing, I already know I am not the most popular devil to some people," "Lord Anos do you know where Issei is," says Asia while looking around anxiously, "he also asked me if I had a cross for some reason." Anos feigns ignorance and shrugs grabbing a glass of wine as a butler walks past, "no sorry I don't have a clue."

Anos takes a sip and sees out the corner of his eye Sirzechs who was talking to some other devils with Grayfia standing behind him in silence, he was about to connect their thoughts when Sona walks up to him after conversing with some Devils, "hello Anos you're looking a lot more relaxed than the last time I saw you," Anos glances at Rin, "well I did have some time to blow off some steam."

Sona tilts her head while smirking, "should I be expecting to see a missing mountain on underworld news tonight," "No I wouldn't go as far as obliterating a mountain to vent my stress but I have considered once or twice," says Anos slightly joking more so serious.

"Well how are you guys enjoying the party," says Sona gesturing her question more so to Rias peerage than to Anos himself, and while they spoke Anos took the time to connect his and Sirzechs thoughts making Sirzechs jump slightly, "Lord Lucifer are you alright," "yes…yes just had a chill run up my back," says Sirzechs easing the devil's worries he was talking to.

"Bloody hell Anos you scared the hell out of me," "sorry but how your plan progressing," "I have done everything I could it's all up to Issei," "I see then we will just have to wait for his grand entrance."

Anos cuts the link and the two go back to their separate conversations, Anos looks down at Ravel and Koneko talking, while Sona, Akeno, and Kiba were deep in a conversation about the events of the rating game.

Asia then says grabbing Anos's attention, "Lord Anos is everything okay you seem distracted," "I'm fine but I…," but then Anos is cut off as a devil soldier is sent flying through the doors that lead into the engagement party.

With everyone hearing an all too familiar and unfamiliar word, "BOOST," "get the fuck out of the way you cock suckers," there was another yelp as another devil was sent flying into the air across the ballroom, "halt," screams numerous guards but they too are sent flying, "give me Rias."

Demands Issei grabbing every devil's attention in the ballroom, Anos turns his attention to Kiba, Koneko, Asia, and Akeno, "well are you going to let Issei fight alone," their eyes widen in surprise then they smirk and rush toward Issei, numerous guards surround Issei with spears and spells ready to subdue him.

"Surrender we have you surrounded," demands a guard but Issei doesn't back down, "come on then I will take you all on," The guard was about to thrust his spear stops when Kiba, Koneko, Asia, and Akeno jump in front of Issei forming a defensive semicircle, "go Issei we will hold them off."

"Thanks, guys," Issei leaps over them while everyone else distracts the guards, and while this was happening Anos just watched in slight amusement, "what are you smirking for Anos did you know Issei would crash my brother's engagement party," says Ravel with a questioning look on her face but there wasn't malicious intent in her statement more like she found it amusing as well.

"My Lady I have no idea what you mean I find everything just as shocking as you do," says Anos while Ravel rolls her eyes playfully, "Ano…I mean Lord Anos…" "you don't have to call me Lord when we are in gatherings like this," says Anos cutting Mittelt off, "oh thank Father I didn't want to say that but is Issei challenging Riser for Rias again, won't it just go like it did last time?"

"I don't think Issei is that stupid to try the same strategy again don't you remember who trained him," says Anos with an innocent smile making Mittelt sigh, "well let's just hope its a decent one," she says as Issei finally reaches Riser and Rias, "listen here chicken nugget I want Rias and I'm not leaving until I get her back."

Riser lifts his fist to punch Issei then remembers Anos's hidden threat and lowers his hand coughing into it, "what is the meaning of this can someone escort this trash out of here he is ruining our party?"

Sirzechs nods to Grayfia and he springs into action, "this is just some entertainment I created for the party I hope you don't mind," Riser shakes his head and bows it slightly in respect, "no my King not at all but may I ask what sort of entertainment."

"Well, your game against Rias was a little disappointing since you are supposed to be a veteran player and you let my sister no offense. Put up so much of a fight on her first try almost defeating you." Riser clenches his fist he really shouldn't have underestimated Rias and her peerage and the training that Anos put them through to make them so strong so quickly.

"I understand my king what do you want from me," "come now King Lucifer you should voice your true intentions instead of using some boy to do your bidding," Says Zekram with an amused smirk on his face then it turns neutral when he looks at Issei and Riser, "but I can agree that your performance was very disappointing especially certain parts that I'll be discussed in private."

Hinting at Riser using holy swords in the rating game, Riser looks away and Zekram snaps, "did I give you permission to look away from me," Riser snaps his eyes back to Zekram giving him an apologetic nod, "and my king I don't think we will find fitting entertainment with having Riser fight an appointment he already defeated," Sirzech raises an eyebrow in curiosity, "I think it's fine plus I think some people like to the mighty Phenex fight the Red Dragon Emperor for the first time."

Many of the surrounding devils gasp in wonder and in belief as lifts his arm into the air summoning the boosted gear, "well I think the people want to see the Phenex fight the Dragon for themselves," Zekram crosses his arm and nods in agreement, "that is true and what would you give this reincarnated devil if he wins this time."

Sirzechs already prepared for this question says, "I am willing to give him anything within my power," Zekram nods half-heartedly, "sounds fair but what if Riser wins what will he get," "he would get the same thing," "I see…who doesn't like a comeback story but we already saw the outcome of this why not…," Zekram trails off looking around then a smile tugs on the corner of his mouth.

"But you know act might be a more interesting fight," Zekram then lifts his hand toward Anos still standing at the table, "having the strongest member of the rookies six go up the Phenex who defeated the Red Dragon Emperor."

The crowd of devils bursts into chatter with some looking forward to such a battle while others just seemed less motivated to watch such a fight, "Lord Riser versus Lord Anos is that even fair I mean Lord Riser has a full peerage with combat experience and Lord Anos I know he's a prodigy but that doesn't mean anything against battle experience," says one devil to his wife.

"True but Lord Anos studies magic directly under King Beelzebub so that has to stand for something plus his brother is Sirzechs he has to have picked up battle skills from him," After Zekram made that proposition all attention shifted from Issei possibly fighting Riser to Anos fighting Riser, "Anos do you think you could be my brother when Issei couldn't do it," says Ravel not taking her eyes off Zekram and Sirzechs.

"I think Anos could easily but the problem is he only has one member of his peerage which is a lot less than Rias so technically he doesn't have enough members to participate." While this was happening Anos was silent but he was a mental conversation with Sirzechs, "what's the move now Zekram has flipped things around," Anos says watching silently.

"I know but I have an idea to turn this around," Sirzechs comes out of the mental conversation and says out loud, "this doesn't concern my brother only her and the members of her peerage." Zekram shrugs, "I mean this is a family affair," Zekram then glances at Anos slightly then back to Sirzechs, "and when Rias marries Riser we have been considering having her step down as the new head of the Gremory Clan and make Anos the new head."

Sirzechs eyes widen in surprise along with every devil as they look toward Anos, "Lord Bael I don't think that is a decision for you to make," says Zeoticus feeling now being the right time to interject into the conversation. "As the head of the Gremory Clan it is my decision who will be the next head, not yours, and no offense Lord Bael but that isn't your decision to make."

Zekram raises an eyebrow, "excuse me Zeoticus I don't think I asked for your opinion and at certain situations yes the council can make these decisions."

Zeoticus narrowed his eyes and was going to say something else, "think about this logically Zeoticus when Rias and Riser wed and have children they could create a new type of devil that harness the powers of hellfire and destruction. Which would cause us to create a new house so to save time we are going to do that immediately after marriage. Leaving the Gremory once again now having an heir to replace you as the head, so the council has decided to make Anos also immediately upon the marriage will be made the new next head of the Gremory clan."

Zekram then turns to Anos extending his hand, "so Anos what is your decision, stand in the shadows like usual and let your sister be married to someone she despises or fight for your sister's freedom and continue your days of sloth."

All through Zekram was a few feet away the room party had gone completely silent as everyone waited for his answer, the way Zekram worded it also put Anos on the spot, on one hand, he could deny the challenge but for personal reasons, he couldn't become the head and by saying sloth Zekram was basically calling him lazy by always being distant from devil society only working at Ajuka's laboratory.

Then on the other hand if he did accept the fight it would appear he only fought for his sister so he could dump the responsibility onto her, in hindsight when he stepped down he didn't put up a fight but due to that other devils, it was perceived as weak.

Everyone's attention was now on Anos awaiting his answer, Anos was silent even Ophis disguised as a devil named Rin was very curious since his decision would get him more involved in the supernatural world, which was something he constantly avoided.

Anos then takes silence to have a mental conversation with his mother, father, and Sirzechs, "what's the verdict," Zekram says, "I don't know but your mother and I will support any decision you make."

Venelana says, "your father is right we will support whichever decision you make," then Sirzechs speaks, "Anos, mother, and father said it best." Anos opens his eyes ending his mental conversation to see everyone staring at him in anticipation, he was considering declining the fight so as to not attract more attention.

Then glances at Rias she had desperation in her eyes and was trembling in anticipation, waiting to find out his answer, Anos then looks back to Zekram who was patiently waiting for his answer. "Fine Zekram I will fight Riser for my sister's freedom," the crowd burst into commotion, "the strongest magical youth up against the conquer of the Red Dragon Emperor."

Was said by a random devil then more people started to say it as it started to catch on the Sirzechs raised is aura slightly not enough to scare anyone but to just silence everyone, "okay we have our fight, Anos step forward, and you too Riser," both Riser and Anos stand in front of Sirzechs and he nods to both.

"Riser if you win what is it that you desire," Riser was about to say nothing but remembered something, "I wasn't Anos's servant and maid." Sirzechs was going to say only one but Anos speaks first, "fine I agree and I want my sister to be able to choose whoever she wants to marry."

Sirzech nods and looks past them to Zekram, "is this suitable Lord Bael," "yes I find nothing wrong," he nods again and looks toward his father and Lord Phenex, do both heads of the Phenex family and Gremory have any problems with this agreement they shake their heads but Lady Phenex speaks up, "I just have one but it isn't a complaint my King."

Sirzech raises an eyebrow and she continues, "my son has asked for two things while Anos has asked for one I think Anos should be given another reward to compensate," Anos turns to Lady Phenex and was about to say he doesn't need an extra reward but she says one word pausing his response while Riser's eyes almost jumped out of his head.

"Ravel…I think my daughter should be given as a gift to Anos," Ravel's face turns red but she tries to keep her emotions under control and says, "I agree," after being momentarily caught off guard Anos finally says, "that isn't necessary I am fine with just my sister's freedom."

Along with Riser saying, "absolutely not I will never give you my little sister," Anos raised an eyebrow, "I hate to agree with you Riser but I agree I don't," but Zekram cuts him off, "that decision is not up to you Riser well not anymore," Riser does a complete one-eighty and looks at Zekram in surprise, "wait but our deal."

Zekram's eyes narrow as he looks at Riser in disgust, "I remember our deal boy you are the one who failed to upkeep it so your sister will be married to Diodora," After hearing the name Anos's eye twitches, he knew Diodora all too well since Diodora has tried to kill him numerous times in secret after supposedly stealing Ajuka from him.

He was also one of the people Anos was disgusted by since the rumors he heard regarding Diodora and his servants were quite bad well bad wouldn't be the right word more like perverse, Anos came out of his thoughts to see Riser turns in disgust while clenching his fist, then glares at Anos, "I will never allow you to have my sister, and remember this here and now I am going to end you."

"I will leave marrying me up to Ravel after the rating game," Anos says leaving no room for discussion, Riser's eye twitches as a vein forms on his forehead, "fine I can agree to that," Riser snaps his eyes to Anos and he takes a step forward toward Riser cracking his fingers, "now shall we begin I'm ready when you are."

Riser stands and cracks his neck while flexing his aura, "now boys how about waiting until tomorrow, unlike you Anos, Riser was already in a fight," although Zekram said this it was further from the truth, Riser had already recovered and was primed and ready to fight but Zekram had other plans.

"I think a game like this can't be rushed don't you think," Zekram says something attempting to grab every devil's attention in the room and continues, "as we all know Anos is our revenant prodigy of the underworld whether some of you like it or not and this will be his first rating game and wouldn't we want the conquer of one of the heavenly dragons to be at his best."

The minority of the crowd wants the fight to happen now while others understood where Zekram was, and while this was happening Sirzechs was watching everything with slight respect, he hated to admit it but Zekram was definitely good at his job, the way he was able to sway others to follow him without using his power or magic was truly respectable.

But that ability is the reason why he didn't trust Zekram, he was able to become the temporary leader of the devils after the four original devil kings died and then became the leader of the devil council for being one of the last progenitors and a major influence in the underworld.

He was the only devil in the underworld who held as much power as him without having the same amount of magic as him, "Zekram you saw more motivated than normal?"

Zekram smiles at Sirzechs but it was obvious that it was a fake smile, "well don't you want your brother to finally receive all the respect he deserves."

Sirzechs raises an eyebrow this whole scenario was fishy and screamed of something more but he couldn't figure then he glanced at Anos he was usually quiet, probably trying to determine Zekram's true motives as well but if he figured them out Sirzech couldn't tell his expression was neutral.

"Everyone I think that we should conclude today's party and have this rating game tomorrow, and don't forget to tell every devil far and wide about this one-in-a-lifetime battle that will be held tomorrow."

Riser looked at Anos and smirked thinking this battle will be an easy win since he did defeat the Red Dragon Emperor like Zekram said, "I won't hold back like I did today and I won't forget everything. I am going to make you beg for your life in front of the entire underworld and show them that you really aren't that special."

Anos's expression remained neutral and didn't say anything for a few seconds and just watched Riser stare at him in pure rage, then said something that made Riser step back cautiously, "I'm going to break that little pride of yours."

Like last time Anos said it so casually like he was speaking of the future and it made Riser cock his head in confusion, but for some reason, he couldn't refute the claim, and all he did was glare and then Anos walked away. While this was happening Rias had been looking at everything that was happening but when Lady Phenex said that Anos would marry Ravel in exchange her attention went to Sona as soon as he accepted.

So when she saw her she could tell she was hurting and was barely able to hold everything together, so when Sona abruptly walked away toward the bathroom after the discussion was over. She snuck away to make sure was alright, before even opening the door Rias could hear soft sobs from the door which made her heart sink to the floor.

She opens the door but the moment the door creaked the sobbing stopped in one of the stalls with Rias calling out to her, "Sona I know you are in here," for a while there wasn't an answer then Sona spoke, "yes I am in here how can I help you Rias," "well I came here to help you," says Rias as she walks past each stall to listen for Sona's voice.

"I am fine thank you for your concern but you should get back to the party," says Sona with her voice cracking slightly, Rias then stops in front of her stall and knocks once, "Rias please I just need to be alone for a minute I will come out in a second," but Rias doesn't stop and continues to knock annoying Sona.

With Sona opening the door with Rias handing her a tissue, "I don't need a tissue," but Rias just wipes her face startling Sona slightly, "your makeup is running," then Rias pulls her hand to the sink to help her wash her face, "ouch you're pulling too hard but thanks," says Sona after almost being flung at the sink.

Sona looks in the mirror and notices that her makeup indeed was running and started to wash her face while Rias spoke, "so you ready to talk," "what is there to talk about one or two things are going to happen tomorrow Anos is going to win and will marry Ravel or he will die to tomorrow at the hands of Riser."

Replies Sona trying to act strong but was obviously struggling to let out the words, Rias looks away that was true her brother was strong and some people haven't realized it but, "I think you should have more faith in my brother, remember he fought both of our peerages and escaped without breaking a sweat."

Sona grabs a paper towel to dry her face, "yes but you saw the power Issei released upon Riser and that wasn't enough to bring him down and Riser has more combat experience, I lo…v… I mean respect Anos and his wisdom but how can he overcome Risers regeneration when all of you couldn't."

Rias smirks softly at Sona's slight slip up, "I used to think the same way but when we were little about twelve years old when I was declared the new head of the family instead of Anos I felt that I needed to protect him because he has health problems and I always thought he was weaker than me."

Sona checks herself in the mirror to make sure she looked fine while Rias continued, "but one day that changed, he had just taken the accelerated course to graduate middle school and start high school and these older devils were jealous or something and tried to bully Anos but like usual her just ignored them. While this happened I hid behind the bushes, I planned to help him if things got physical but I'm glad I didn't.

I heard one of the devils say something about me I couldn't really remember but then I felt such an overwhelming amount of power and killing intent. I looked from behind the bushes and Anos back was towards me while the three boys were sitting on their butts crying and peeing on themselves.

For the first time, I felt my brother's power and I saw it, his aura it was as crimson as his hair and he said something that I couldn't make out but the boy's pale faces nearly turned purple and they passed out."

Sona's eyes were wide she never heard of this incident before and wondered why she was just now hearing about this, "bottom line Sona I underestimated my brother's strength and have never since, and if you believe in my bother then you should too.

But I can't lie I am worried I don't know how this battle is going to go and we may finally see the extent of Anos abilities. So don't give up I'm pretty sure Ravel is okay with sharing along with Koneko."

Sona looks down at her feet and says in a soft whisper, "is it really okay for me to love another man when he might be wed to another," Rias then hugs her friend from the back easing some of her stress, "honey we are devils polygamy is very normal now come on before the party ends."

Sona rolls her eyes and she leans forward to Rias, "are you, okay your nose is bleeding?" Rias turns to the mirror and just like Sona said her nose was indeed bleeding, "here," says Sona handing RIas a paper towel. "Thanks, I guess I pushed myself harder than I thought at the rating game," Sona didn't say anything and just watched Rias wash her face, "I just have a slight headache that's all."

"Yea I saw during the game it was weird to see you collapse like that," says Sona handing Rias another paper towel, "what happened?" Rias took the paper towel and started to wash her face and said, "I honestly don't know, it was weird I felt strange my heart and my head mostly like my face was hurting. No hurting is an understatement more like a pain I never felt before but the thing is I also felt stronger and the stronger I felt the more it hurt. Then suddenly it disappeared like it was never there so I guess I used more magic than usual when I fought Riser?"

Sona rubbed her chin in thought but was interrupted as Rias pulls her out of the bathroom but this time she was a little okay with being pulled out.

Two Hours After the Party Zekram Bael's Office at His House

After the engagement party ended Zekram had gone home to wrap up some finishing touches for the Rating Game tomorrow, in order to have the biggest coverage for the game he had to make sure he had a lot of people watch, so he had begun to set numerous events into motion.

On his desk was a file on Anos that he had been working on for about four years just a few years after it became public that he was working under Ajuka at his laboratory after graduating college earlier than expected.

"I wish I had more concrete information on his magic types so far only I only have proof that he has learned Spirt magic and from my spies, in Sirzech's office he might have learned Nose or Greek."

If this was any other person Zekram would have dismissed that Anos could have learned either one but thought he could have actually learned both. "Well for now I will stick with only Spirit and go from there, now let's see magical capacity unknown, has mastered fire and lighting, and is believed to have mastered all other elements as well as branching elements."

Zekram flips the paper and continues, "physical strength and speed unknown but has been spotted intercepting a punch for Grafia that was supposed to hit a nurse, swords skills unknown but believed to have some since he trained Rias knight. High intellect which has been confirmed by numerous people so that's not really hard to believe."

Then he finally looks to the bottom of the report, "official rating high-class devil on par with Sairaorg but could be low an ultimate class devil," Zekram frowns at the ultimate part he was a high ultimate class devil a little below Devil King Class and he had twelve wings while Anos has only been seen with one pair.

It wasn't unheard of that he could be hiding other wings but he has had numerous individuals watching and he has yet to show signs that he has more wings. "Well it still wouldn't be that outlandish for him to just be hiding them," but that also made Zekram wonder why to hide his wings unless he had more which would mean he could be above low ultimate class.

When Zekram first started this file he wasn't sure he would find anything but the lack of anything made him more suspicious, Devils loved showing off their power but Anos didn't he was so secretive and the Devil Kings rarely gave a good explanation on why Anos was given so much attention compared to other devils.

For instance, had private councils Sirzechs, works directly under Ajuka who has never taken any students, he was able to get time out of Serafall's busy schedule and somehow found favor with her and is even able to get in touch with Falbium who mostly focuses on his job with military affairs.

The more he looked into and couldn't find or found just didn't make sense and made sense at the same time, Zekram sighed and looked at the time, "hmmm I think now would be a good time to call him."

Zekram stands from his desk and walks to a bookshelf pulling a book revealing a hidden room, and crouches down touching a magic circle on the floor, it glows then after a few seconds a man appears as a projection, "well isn't this a surprise for a while I thought you wouldn't call how long has it been three or four years."

"It has been four," the man smirks and nods crossing his arms "yes did you find what I was looking for?" "Obviously or I wouldn't have contacted you," the man shrugs and Zekram continues, "well your suspicions all have merit there are a lot of things about Anos that don't make sense and you're intuition about him was correct."

The man's eyes narrow, "I need details of what have you learned and confirmed," but Zekram was no pushover, "watch your tone with me boy, unlike your father I will not tolerate your foolishness," the man's tone and demeanor changes, "fine what did you learn," Zekram adjusts his tie and speaks, "nothing much which is actually a lot but I didn't call about that. Anos will be participating in a rating game against Riser tomorrow. So this will give you insight on some of his abilities."

The man nods, "and what about him learning different types of magic, "well regarding him knowing Egyptian, Greek, and Spirt magic I have only confirmed him using Spirt magic during a training session with his sister's rook but after that, it was never observed again." The man pauses then says something that catches Zekram off guard, "do you know if it's divine magic of the ones you just told me?"

Divine Magic is considered a sanctified and or sacred form of type magic and variations, for instance, normal rune Norse magic is nowhere near as powerful as the same runes used by the Norse gods, but Divine magic is very powerful so normal humans are unable to wield it with being a descendant of. a god or having a catalyst to channel the magic.

"No...only gods and their descendants can use divine magic," the man smirks and Zekram raises an eyebrow, "why do you ask?" The man shrugs, "I was just asking, think nothing of it but I do have one last question do you think he has super devil potential." Zekram smirks, "why do you ask do you fear there will be another super devil stronger than you…Rizevim," Rizevim scoffs as his eyes narrow, "watch yourself Zekram."

Zekram crosses his arms, "you hold no power over me Rizevim you lost all my respect when you lost the war." "I didn't answer your call to be insulted Zekram," Zekram doesn't say anything and Rizevim continues, "I have things to attend to so call whenever you gather all of the information I need."

Zekram sighs and shrugs, "I will as long as you deliver on your deal," Rizevim nods and the protection fades away as the magic circle stops glowing. "Now back to planning out this rating game…should I make it an open game or make it available to devils only? So much to do so little time," Zekram leaves the secret room and finishes his preparations.

Later at the Devils Metting Room

After everyone dispersed when the party ended Rias and her peerage went to be except for Anos, Sirzechs, Grayfia, Zeoticus, and Venelana were sitting in a conference room waiting for the rest of the Devil Kings.

It was late and they purposely waited for everyone to sleep so as to not draw attention, Anos had told Rin to wait for him in his room and had sent Mittelt to her room to go to sleep.

The room was silent then a green transportation magic circle formed on the ground, and after the flash died down Ajuka was revealed in a lab coat, "well this conference is happening earlier than expected I thought it was going to be a little while after the rating game."

Sirzechs stood, "yes but we have a different matter to discuss once everyone else arrives I will explain the situation," Ajuka raised an eyebrow the sighed, "well judging by the mood in here I can't really tell if it's good or bad."

Anos glanced at his mother who exuded a sense of pride and happiness unlike everyone else was exuding slight uneasiness.

Then a magic circle formed on the ground as Serafall came flying out toward Anos with him leaning to the left dodging her completely, "Anos you're getting married," screams Serafall after pulling her head out the wall.

Ajuka slams his hands on the desk kicking his chair back as his eyes almost pop out of his head, "excuse me," Sirzech sighs, "please just wait for a minute so we can discuss this in detail," Falbium then walks through the doors with a communicator next to his ear.

"Exactly which are we discussing in detail the fact that Anos will be participating in a rating game or that he is getting married when he wins."

Sirzechs raises an eyebrow, "your ability to gather information is impeccable since it hasn't been released yet," Falbium raises his own eyebrow to match his, "I didn't have to its on every channel of the underworld news."

Serafall nods in agreement, "yes that's how I knew he was getting married, and plus you and I need to talk about that later."

Says Serafall more so saying that last part toward Anos and he acknowledges with a nod, Sirzech messages his forehead and stands, "okay let's get this meeting started shall."

The meeting lasted well into the night and little to the next day, so when it was over a decision was reached that Anos would have to entertain or hold back considerably.

And appear that he was actually trying, Serafall offered to give him acting sessions on how to fake being hurt but he quickly shot it down saying that he could handle that much.

He didn't want to but to make it seem like he was trying he was going to have to let Riser and his peerage "push him to his limits," as stated by Sirzechs.

Then there was the matter of the marriage between him and Ravel, Anos wasn't dense to Ravel's feelings but there has always been one reason he never perused anything close to a relationship.

He was too busy with family and trying to find ways to get to his own reality, so that meant he wasn't going to be here long enough to start a family.

It has been seventeen years and he still hasn't located his reality and if his theory was correct it was going to take a lot longer.

During the meeting Venelana said something that made Anos raise an eyebrow, "what if we just asked if she wanted to go with you, it's no secret Ravel likes you Anos so she could possibly leave her life to be with you."

It wasn't a bad idea but if he did that he would have to tell her and most likely her family his real identity but the downside is that he doesn't know the current state of his world.

So when he returned they could immediately pop into another war zone, he didn't have doubts that he couldn't protect Ravel he just didn't want to expose her to the sight of war.

Also during the conversation, there was something tugging at the back of Serafall's mind that she wanted to voice to Anos but held off saying something since this wasn't the time nor the place to do so.
