Chapter 23: No Mercy for the Fallen Part 1: Devil Kings Conference Part II
Two Hours After the Post-Game Interview in the Gremory Mansion
The air was tense, the Gremory's and the Phenex have been sitting in silence awaiting Grayfia's arrival for the final finalization of the agreement.
Anos sat in between his father and mother while Rias sat next to Venelana, Mittelt was standing behind Anos and the members of Rias peerage were also standing behind her.
On the opposite side of the table sat Ravel in between her mother and father, Riser was next to his mother with his head hung low, he had suffered a completely one-sided loss, it was fair to say it wasn't even a battle.
Unlike Rias whose peerage stood behind her most of his members were still in hospital suffering severe physical and mental damage.
From no other than Anos who was sitting as calm as ever next to his mother with his eyes closed thinking to himself.
If Anos felt any remorse for the damage he did to his peerage, Riser definitely couldn't tell and he couldn't demand an apology he was the one who put his peerage in danger.
The doors to the room open and Grayfia walks in and stands at the head of the table, "apologies for the late arrival I had some last-minute errands I needed to do," says Grayfia bowing apologetically.
"So let's begin as agreed upon by both parties, the engagement between Lady Rias and Lord Phenex has been canceled and has been replaced with Lady Ravel choosing if she wants to be engaged to Lord Anos," says Grayfia.
After saying that Ravel looks toward Anos, "I wonder if he gave me the choice to choose who I want to marry is because he doesn't want to force me into something like Rias was but, it's like I don't want to and I'm pretty sure he knows I like him?"
Ravel's thoughts wander for a bit as Zeoticus speaks, "yes we still stand by the agreement," Grayfia looks toward Lord Phenex, "yes we stand by it as well."
Grayfia nods, "good now if either party has any last words now would be the time," Lady Phenex coughs slightly to gather their attention, "when will the wedding be?"
"Let's hold off on that conversation for a second but if no one has anything I believe we are done," Venelana says trying to end the meeting so they can start the actual meeting.
Lady and Lord Phenex why is she in such a rush to end the meeting and why not talk about it now at the very meeting that would be the right place to talk about this particular subject.
"Yes I agree that conversation can be handled in private without the participants that don't need to be here," says Grayfia.
"I agree there's no need to waste any more time my brother won but I think it would make sense to talk about a possible wedding date," says Rias crossing her arms and sending a slight glare towards Riser.
"If Lady Rias and her peerage could leave along with Lord Riser since the remainder of this meeting does not concern you," says Grayfia in a somewhat apologetic tone.
Rias raises an eyebrow, "what...now that I'm not the one getting married I don't have a say in this matter, Anos was allowed to stay during the meetings for my engagement."
Riser abruptly stands and leaves, "yes my Lady," to his parent's slight surprise he didn't even utter a word of protest, the room was silent and Rias just scoffs, "Rias I'll tell you what happened after the meeting," says Anos giving her a warm smile.
But she just waves him off tell me tomorrow I have to get caught up with ORC business so come by after school and we can talk and you better not leave a single thing out."
"Also can you take Mittelt with you," says Anos and she snaps her eyes to him in surprise, "I don't want to," Mittelt whispers back trying her hardest trying not to cause a scene.
"I haven't had time to explain but for now just go with Rias I'll come by tomorrow and get you," says Anos, with everything that has been happening he hasn't informed Mittelt that Death has the ability to take control of her body and even now he doesn't know if he is talking to her or Mittelt.
But after the meeting, he plans to study Mittelt more to see what Death has done to her soul and to find a way to reverse it.
Mittelt sighs in resignation the way Anos was looking at her made her feel like there was some deeper meaning behind this but it seems she wouldn't know until tomorrow, "fine whatever."
Anos then turns his attention toward Rias, "will it be alright for her to come with you." "I guess I will just have to inform Sona that's all."
Says Rias glancing at Mittelt than Anos, "thank you Rias I appreciate it truly," "yea…yea whatever. Come on guys it's time to go."
Mittelt leaves with the rest of Rias and her peerage leaving only the Phenex family sitting in awkward silence which is broken by Grayfia creating a communicator next to her ear.
"They left my King," immediately afterward four magic circles appear behind Grayfia, and in a flash of red, blue, and green Ajuka, Serafall, Falbium, and Sirzechs appear.
The Phenex family abruptly stands at the sudden arrival of their Kings and drops to a knee as everyone does the same except for Anos which causes Lord Phenex to raise an eyebrow out of the corner of his eye.
Grayfia turns and bows to them, "please stand there is something important that needs to be discussed before this engagement can be finalized," says Sirzechs.
"What might that be," says Lord Phenex as he looks down at his daughter and then back to Anos very much confused. "Before the Ajuka could you cast a few barriers," Ajuka nods as he creates numerous around the entire room so no one can spy on their conversation of hearing from outside the room.
Trying to be as respectful as possible Lord Phenex demands a second time, "my Kings what is the meaning of this," Sirzechs raises his hand to try and ease his concern.
"I am getting to that just one second," Sirzechs then looks to Anos, "are you sure about this, I trust your judgment on who you want to tell you're secret but we don't have to there is always another way."
Now the Phenex family was even more confused about what secret they were referring to, "what is King Lucifer taking about what secret is Anos in some kind of trouble," thought Ravel as she watched Anos more closely.
"Yes I trust Ravel and if this engagement is going to happen then it's best for her and her parent to know," says Anos completely erasing the doubt inside of Sirzechs and the rest of the Devil's Kings.
Sirzechs then looks to Ravel, Lord, and Lady Phenex, "you may want to sit down because you are about to learn one of the most or second most protected secrets in the underworld depending on your point of view."
Three of them sit down and look between themselves and Anos, Zeoticus, and, Venelana sits too.
Lady Phenex awkwardly chuckles, "so whatever you are about to tell us is not or slightly less important than you know what," she was referring to the death of God but was vague because of Anos and Ravel being in the room.
Sirzechs, "yes precisely, currently there are to my knowledge only ten individuals who know his true identity."
"Actually eleven and maybe twelve but that can be discussed tomorrow in detail," Sirzechs raises an eyebrow but decides to leave it for tomorrow, "actually eleven and an uncomforted twelve. So what you are about to learn can not and will not be shared with anyone you know under any circumstances is that understood."
Now they were even more confused and curious at the same time, "if this is such a huge secret as you said why to tell us I doubt we are important enough to warrant you telling us," by us he meant more so Ravel.
If this secret was on par with the secret regarding God's death then she doesn't need to get involved, "yes this involves all of your futures but more so Ravels because depending on her answer it will determine whether or not you will remember what we are about to reveal," says Sirzechs looking directly at Ravel.
"To cut right to the case Anos's true name is Anos Voldigoad a Demon King who came from another world and had the power to make Great Red a pet," says Sirzechs in a matter-of-fact tone.
Lord and Lady burst into laughter while Ravel just looks at Anos waiting for him to laugh but he doesn't he just sits there adopting the same neutral expression as his parents.
Ravel then looked at the Four Devil Kings none were smiling or laughing even Serafall who was always joking about something, "are you two done," says Falbium slightly annoyed.
"Come now Falbium we had slightly similar expressions let them get it out before continuing," says Serafall giving them the benefit of the doubt.
The two Devils abruptly stop laughing seeing that no one was laughing at Sirzech's statement, "wait you are joking correct," "ummm…dear, I don't think this is a joke."
Sirzechs was about to speak but Anos stood, "thanks but I will take it from here Sirzechs," Anos then snapped and the eyes of Ravel, Lord, and Lady Phenex rolled to the back of their heads, "what are you showing them son please be mindful Ravel is still too young to see the reality of war," says Venelana.
"No need to worry she won't see anything like that but I can't say the same for Lord and Lady Phenex," says Anos as he snaps again, and the memories he shared with them stop as they come back to reality.
Lord Phenex stands and falls back on his chair in surprise, "such destructive power that entire city completely annihilated by a single spell," Lady Phenex just stared at her hands in disbelief, "wait that couldn't have been real. I was fighting on a human army led by numerous gods by myself."
In contrast to her parents Ravel did not see the extent of Anos's power on the battlefield but a different side to Anos who know as the Demon King of tyranny but his protective side.
She saw how did everything he could to protect and save his people even to the extent of sacrificing his own life, Anos didn't show himself getting pierced by the sword but it was obvious what was about to happen before the memory ended.
"Why," says Ravel as she starts to tear up but Anos heard her, "I was the spark of human hatred in my world so in order to extinguish that hatred in the hearts of the humans I allowed myself to be killed."
"Whatever Anos showed you was not an illusion and trust me that isn't the tip of the iceberg of his true power," says Serafall with a slight smirk.
"Now that you know there is something you must know about Anos, unfortunately, he is not staying in the world. Anos was not supposed to reincarnate into this world and so since his birth, he was been with King Beelzebub to find a way home for the past seventeen years," says Venelana very much hating the fact that Anos could at any time leave this world.
"Now do you see why this pertains to Ravel, Anos could very much find his world right after this meeting ends or in the next thousand years," says Zeoticus.
Their threes eyes widen in surprise and realization, Anos gave Ravel the choice because it's not guaranteed that he will be staying in this world so, "judging by the looks on your faces it seems you understand. Ravel I have to get back to my people and that could happen at any time," says Anos.
"So you want to know if I will go would go back with you or not," says Ravel as her parents snap their heads between her and Anos.
"Wait a minute you aren't taking my daughter this is not what we agreed upon," says Lord Phenex slamming his hands on the table.
"That's Ravel was given the choice to turn down the arrangement and she," "I want to," interjects Ravel as a massive blush forms on her face, "I'm fine with that…I mean I'm not okay with you leaving but uhhh well…my you know feelings," Ravel's face then turns bright red as steam bursts from her head.
Lady Phenex rubs her daughter's head, "I believe what my daughter is trying to say is that knowing that you will be leaving hasn't deterred her from being wedded to you," Ravel's eyes widen slightly as her blush takes a deeper shade of red.
Lord Phenex sits down and ruffles his hair, "so what will you abandon my daughter Lord Voldig…I mean Anos leaving her alone forever," "I could go with him father," Lord Phenex's eyes dart toward Ravel, "Ravel are you really okay with leaving your home to possibly live in a whole new world."
Ravel just nods, "I see, are you sure Ravel there is a possibility I won't be able to travel between our world and my original one? So are you sure you want to be engaged and possibly come to my world?"
Everyone's eyes fell on Ravel, she already knew her answer but everyone looking at her was making her nervous, "yyyyy….eee…sss I aaammm okayyy with thththhthat," stutters Ravel trying not to slur her words mentally cursing herself for messing that up. A small smile forms on Anos's face and he nods at her, "well I believe that the engagement is now on," says Lady Phenex as she looks between Anos and Ravel.
Time Skip to the Next Day
Anos awoke the next day feeling nothing but relief at the fact everything was over, last night his family held a celebratory party for his victory it small as he requested.
So the only ones involved were his family and Rias peerage, following the dinner party Rias immediately took her again to leave the human world since she and everyone else had school the next day.
So he didn't have to worry about waking up with his sister in his bed or so he thought, when Anos noticed a lump in his bed that didn't come from him he sighed and pulled the blankets back, "what are you doing Rin?"
Rin was laying on her back with his hands clasped together on her chest, "sleeping," "did you try closing your eyes," Rin turned her head toward Anos, "if I do that I can not see, so I was sleeping with them open. Is that a problem?"
Finding this conversation going nowhere Anos decides not to ask further questions and just gets out the bed to start the day.
He had a lot going on today so wasting time questioning everything she was doing would keep him here probably all day.
Anos walked to the bathroom as Rin pulled the cover back over her head to go back to sleep, while out of the shower Anos got a call from Sirzechs from a communication circle, "I hope this isn't bad news I just woke up?"
"Actually yes and surprisingly it comes from the devil council," "really you don't say," "yes I'm just as surprised as you are. Apparently, Zekram was impressed by Rias's peerage member's performance and has requested that some of them be promoted to mid-class devils."
Anos raised an eyebrow with a smirk, "well isn't that interesting, would you like me to tell them now or after the meeting," "after the meeting, Rias has school so good news like this can be saved to later today."
The conversation ends and Anos turns his attention toward Rin still so-called sleeping under the covers, "Ophis how are things going with the Vali team," he says telepathically.
"Vali himself has been busy with a matter with Azazel," Anos raises an eyebrow, "what matter with Azazel," "apparently the fallen Kokabiel is up to something and Vali is secretly using his team for help," Anos rubs his chin in contemplation.
"What you do have something on your mind," Anos raises an eyebrow in response, "nothing for now I will bring it up at the meeting and you will be attending correct?" Ophis nods, "if it is truly necessary then I will be there," Anos nods, "well there is some time before the meeting so I'm going to do more research."
Transition to the Human World
Mittelt was very much aggravated while also being calmed down by Asia while she sat at the breakfast table, earlier that morning Mittelt was showering and was a thousand percent sure she locked the door.
Last night she asked to stay with Asia but she didn't know that she was staying with the guy who ripped her clothes off just a few days ago which is Issei.
She told him that if he perved on her, she was going to kill him and no one was going to stop her not even Anos. So when he walked in on her walking out of the shower, she didn't hesitate to create ten bolts of lighting ready to end his existence right then and there.
But luckily for him Asia just happened to be walking past and jumped in front of him defensively begging Mittelt to calm down.
It took a lot of restraint to calm down Issei was two things that she very much hated and found annoying, he was a devil and a pervert at the same time.
So of the list of people she would rather see dead than alive he was very close to the top, "uhhh…Mittelt would you please stop glaring at Issei," says Asia rubbing her shoulder while Mittelt glared at Issei from across the table while stuffing food in her mouth.
Mittelt looked at Asia out the corner of her eye and let out an annoyed sigh, "fine but I am zapping him later," "Mittelt it was an accident I didn't know you were in there," Mittelt snapped her eyes to Issei, "excuse me…was the door not locked and did you now hear the shower through the door?"
Issei nervously looked away and thought to himself, "but it wasn't locked I checked the door twisted easily or," then Issei thought some more wait the door was that click sound he heard the sound of the lock breaking.
"Fuck the door was locked and I just used my new strength to open the door by force," Issei came out of his thoughts and was about to apologize but his father came down the stairs.
"Honey the lock to the bathroom door is broken and needs to be replaced," says Gorou holding the door nob in his hand and showing it to her while she cleaned the kitchen.
"See Mittelt the door was broken that's how he got in so it's not entirely his fault," Mittelt looked up from her food and just nodded while still really pissed off.
Once the three finished breakfast they made their way to school which was another thing Mittelt found to be a waste of her time, "Issei I will tell you this now if you're friends so much as look at me the wrong way they're dead."
Issei took a big gulp while clenching his book bag, "yea got it no peeping on you," "and Asia," "I would never peep on Asia," "Mittelt please calm down I am sure you are going to like school," but Mittelt just rolled her eyes, "I am over a hundred years there is nothing they will be teaching that I don't already know."
Saying that caused Issei to raise an eyebrow, "really," "yes why are you looking like that," "well because you look younger than me," "well after the…I mean after falling from grace Fallen Angels age a lot slower."
Says Mittelt almost shattering their entire world with a simple slip-up but was able to correct it with a half-truth, "so in terms of Fallen years how old are you," Mittelt raises an eyebrow in response, "excuse me don't you know you shouldn't ask a lady their age," "oh yea sorry," Mittelt abruptly turned around sensing they were being watched.
"What's wrong Mittelt," Mittelt said nothing and held her gaze down the street, she felt a mix of killing intent, rage, and something else but familiar, "did I sense something holy."
"Can you stop fooling around we are going to be late," says Issei growing impatient, "it's nothing let's go," before turning around Mittelt reached out with her improved senses with the help of Anos.
She defiantly felt the residual aura of holy magic but the owners were long gone, Mittelt stayed quiet but would let Rias know when she got to school.
Rias left early in the morning apparently Sona needed to tell her something and it couldn't wait until after school judging by how frantically she left the house.
"Have you guys checked on Kiba he seemed upset," said Asia, "Kiba," says Mittelt raising an eyebrow, "you guys should check on Koneko she is the one who got hurt." "Yea but he seemed really distracted after the encounter with the stray and I think before that as well too," says Issei rubbing his head.
Transition to the Meeting Room of the Devil Kings
Sirzech along with Grayfia were walking to the meeting hall specifically for the Devil Kings but the meeting that would take place would involve his brother at his request.
It is unknown what his brother wanted to discuss but he had a feeling that this was about the information that he had him look into a few days ago.
Both devils open the doors to reveal Serafall's annoying Falbium with information about her show that he didn't even watch and spent more of his time working or just sleeping which he wished he could be doing right now.
Sirzech chuckles grabbing both Devil King's attention, Falbium uses this brief moment of silence to let out a sigh of relief but it was short-lived as Serafall turns back to Falbium to continue their conversation.
Sirzech takes his seat with Grayfia standing behind him in silence, "does anyone know where Ajuka or Anos is, they have another five minutes but they are cutting it kind of close."
Then at that moment the double doors to the room open with Ajuka, Anos, and Rin walking in, Serafall then raises her hand and waves at Anos with him waving back.
Ajuka had three envelopes in his hands and puts all three on the table, "thank you all for coming there is a lot of information so let's get started now.
Which document does everyone want to get started with," Ajuka then points to the document to the left, "this one has to do with the information Anos found on the Fallen Angels and what they could possibly be doing in Kuoh," then moves his finger to the middle document, "this one has to do with a terrorist organization as well as some other mind-blowing information."
Ajuka then rubs his forehead the last two documents really made him nervous reading the contents, "and this one is about Ereshkigal the personification of Death." After saying that Falbium stands and walks to a wall making everyone raise an eyebrow in confusion, he lets out a sigh and pushes it.
Then walks back to his chair and sits down with an annoyed look in his eyes, "do you find enjoyment in making my job harder."
Falbium then points to the first document about the information about the Fallen in Kuoh, "I wanna hear about that first," Sirzech nodded he was interested in that one as well but the other two had him even more curious since Ajuka was eyeing both in concern and worry, "I want to hear about that one as well."
Serafall was rubbing her chin in contemplation over the one about Ereshkigal or the one on the terrorist organization, "I choose," but Ajuka picks up the one about the Fallen in Kuoh, "so it's agreed let's start with this."
Serafall slams her hands on the table in frustration, "wait I didn't choose yet," but Ajuka just ignores her, "okay I will begin please wait until I have read all the information before asking any questions or giving any comments."
Serafall then sits down while crossing her arms putting up a pout, "also Anos please restrain Serafall while I relay the information in the report," Anos smirks as black chains shoot from his hands trapping Serafall in her seat, "hey what's the big idea," says Serafall as she struggles to break free of the chains.
Sirzech raises an eyebrow, "is that necessary it can't be that bad," Ajuka sighs, "I would ask Anos to do the same but Grayfia should be able to keep you under control." Sirzech looks up to Grayfia and she narrows her eyes daring him to try some as a shiver runs down his spine.
Ten Minutes Later
Ajuka went into detail regarding the information he compiled from Anos about what he learned from Anos, he then explained in detail how it's believed that they orchestrated the attempts on Issei and Asia's life, finally Ajuka closed out the document by saying it's believed Kokabiel is trying to restart the war by killing the sisters of the Devil Kings.
Just like Ajuka predicted Serafall was squirming in the restraints trying to escape yelling that she going to go to Gregory and erase every Fallen from existence starting with Kokabiel.
Even though Ajuka explicitly stated numerous times that it is speculated that he is involved there is no actual evidence that he is and since Azazel hasn't named him a rogue we can't act with accidentally starting a war.
For Sirzech he had the fakest smile in the world while he while holding back his frustration but thanks to Grayfia squeezing his shoulder she was keeping him from lashing out and for the moment he was under control.
Falbium had an amused smile on his face and was staring at the ceiling making Ajuka raise an eyebrow, "and why are you smiling Falbium, "because this has nothing to do with my jurisdiction nor do I have any family in Kuoh," Sirzech's and Serafall snap their heads toward Falbium and he nervously chuckles, "no offense of course."
"So where is this information coming from," ask Sirzechs, "we need to get into contact with Azazel to confirm if he acting alone. No need to accidentally restart the war." A magic projection of Mittelt appeared on the table, "what does this with your pawn Anos," ask Serafall.
"Mittelt was originally a Fallen and that went rogue due to personal reasons and we believe she was secretly working under Kokabiel," says Anos.
"Hmmm there is a lot of speculation with this report but before doing anything we need to defiantly get into contact with Azazel," says Sirzechs rubbing his chin.
"Has Sona or Rias said anything to you yet," ask Ajuka putting the report down and grabbing the next, "no both of them have a habit of downplaying bad situations, so I don't think they are in any trouble but I could be wrong."
Ajuka then turns his eyes toward Serafall, "Sona never calls me I have to call her but she rarely ever picks up," says Serafall very hurt by that fact.
Sirzechs turns his attention toward Serafall who was still squirming slightly, "we are gonna need you to contact Azazel and make sure that Kokabiel is acting alone along with those rogue exorcists because the last thing we want is to attack a leader of Gregory starting another large conflict or even another war."
Serafall turns serious and nods, "sure but it may take some time he has a bad habit of not answering his communication circles no matter who it is so I will have to send a letter through Penemue even though she doesn't like it."
Ajuka then looks between the next two documents first he reaches for the one on Ereshkigal then stops halfway and decides not to open that can of worms just yet, "next will be the terrorist organization."
Ajuka then looks toward Rin and sighs Anos told him earlier that she would be explaining everything, for some reason he felt some instinctual fear whenever he rarely locked eyes with her.
"Rin would you mind," says Anos extending his hand toward the table signaling that she had the floor to speak, "fine," says Rin as she takes a step forward, "hello devils you have known me as Rin but that is not my true name. I am Ophis the Infinite Dragon."
The room was silent for a while they first looked to Anos and he just nodded then back to Ophis robotically, Ophis then created a purple serpent that wrapped around her neck, as her eyes also turned to slits resembling the dragon eyes.
Ajuka stumbles backward while Grayfia, Serafall, and Sirzechs immediately jump out of their seats with barriers up, "Ophis could you put the snake away you're scaring them?"
"I wasn't going to attack them I was just proving my identity they are the ones who didn't believe me when I said who I was," says Ophis unaware that magic snake wrapped around her neck with enough power the level a large city.
Which was the actual reason why they were creating barriers, "Falbium why are you just sitting there," says Serafall after Ophis puts away the snake, "honestly if she was going to blow us all to kingdom come, either we all were going to die and those nice little barriers weren't going to do a thing. Or Anos would have intervened to stop the attack which is why there is no was no need to do anything."
Falbium then props his head up with his hand and turns his attention to Ophis, "interesting you don't seem at all frightened by my presence," "oh I am but running won't save my life."
"True if I wanted to assassinate The Four Devils Kings I would have done it but I doubt Anos would have let me and plus I have no reason to do so," it takes a few minutes for everyone to settle down after realizing that a Dragon God was standing just a few feet away, "I created a terrorist organization in order to kill Great Red, it is called the Khaos Brigade."
"It is a mash-up of Gods, Devils, Angels, Fallen, Youkai, Humans, and many more, although they all joined knowing they will have to fight Great Red many have their own personal plans that they want to accomplish. For example, the Old Satan Faction is apart and is led by three of the original Devil King descendants."
Instantly the Four Devil Kings look at each other, "is Rizevim among them," ask Sirzechs with eyes narrowed, "don't know but he could," "have heard anything at all," he says as he leans in.
"No, but I am only acting as their leader because I have given up on using that group to complete my goal and have made a deal with Anos so he'll be more than enough."
Says Ophis as an ominous emotionless dry smirk forms on her face causing Ajuka who was standing right next to her to have a chill run down his back.
Sirzechs raises an eyebrow, "what deal," as he glances at Anos ominously, "I said I will remove Great Red from the dimensional gap," at that revelation everyone's eyes widen in surprise.
Falbium was now fully awake as he couldn't fathom what a battle between those two could entail, "so much for not getting involved in this world's affairs. Do you know what will happen to our world if a battle between you two would happen?"
Anos crossed his arms, "yes a battle like that could possibly destroy the world but who said anything about fighting? Sometimes a simple conversation is the best solution."
Even though Anos said this with absolute confidence that would have soothed their uneasiness if they were talking about anything else, "Anos so you are going to talk to Great Red and ask him to leave the gap and if he says no then what are you going to kill him?"
Says Serafall normally she would have been joking but talking about fighting Great Red wiped any humor from her face, "no, you all know killing is not something I do anymore. So please put your trust in me I am not going to bring a battle to this world."
Everyone holds Anos's gaze for a long minute to ascertain if something like that could be possible but Falbium sighs breaking the silence, "as long as you promise not to bring a large-scale battle to our world then I guess there is nothing left to discuss about this matter."
Sirzechs nods, "yes you are right but circling back to this terrorist organization, I don't believe that it has gone unnoticed by Azazel that some of his people have gone missing. Which gives us another reason to contact Azazel."
Serafall then turns to Ophis very nervous speaking to her, "Ophis, are you sure there are Angles in your organization, as far as I knew Angels that betrayed Heaven become Fallen," "they have white wings so they are not Fallen," says Ophis tilting her head to the side.
"I believe it is? Lucifer was still an Angel when he and his followers rebelled and only after the fact did they become Fallen. So I don't believe it is as cut and dry as you all think."
Serafall pondered the statement as she rubbed her chin in deep thought, "if that's the case then the Khaos Brigade could have already infiltrated Heaven then I will need to contact Michael or Gabriel as well."
Falbium snickers, "if that's the case then we might as well have a meeting," "Not a bad idea Falbium I believe it is time that we create a permeant treaty and tackle this threat together," says Sirzechs gesturing to everyone.
"Yes, I should be able to contact Gabriel easily enough and getting in contact with Azazel through Penemue should be simple as well. Once this meeting is over I will start the process."
Says Serafall starting to take this even meeting more seriously while taking notes, "so this organization where are they located and is there anything else we need to know about them?"
Ophis then spent the next hour and a half going into detail about everything she knows about each organization and took care not to mention the Vali Team to keep their identity secret but information regarding their location was hard to give since they did indeed have a may base there were many bases that each group used to operate in.
Everyone was in deep thought this was an unprecedented event, "a terrorist organization that has a combination supernatural from every mythology including even gods is truly terrifying."
Says Sirzechs earning a nod from everyone else, "it seems I need to start running checks on the underworlds defenses to make sure we aren't already compromised," says Falbium.
Ophis steps back from the table and Ajuka steps forward picking up the last file eyeing it with caution as if opening it would unleash the contents of the words inside, "finally is this file the one on Death and Anos will be taking the lead on the last portion of the meeting," says Ajuka picking up the file and handing it the Anos and he opens it.
Anos then gives a brief background on Mittelt's resurrection then a sparing session when she combined holy and demon magic damaging her soul, next, he spoke on how Mittelt's soul was damaged and onto the weird dreams he was having about a Parthenon of gods.
Then, he spoke of how Mittelt's soul was replaced by something and in the process, she lost everything that made her Fallen.
Finally, Anos brought up everything they learned from looking at Mittelts soul, "so after that, we took Mittelt down to the laboratory and started running numerous tests on her which yielded nothing. But at the end of the test, I sensed something was off with Mittelt no it's better to say that wasn't Mittelt anymore but someone who is known as Four said his master wants Mittelt's soul back."
"I take it his master is Death or Ereshkigal," Anos nods at Falbium, "yes it appears so but it seems she doesn't acknowledge herself as Ereshkigal just Death as if she is a different god altogether."
Serafall raises an eyebrow, "you talk as if the two have spoken," "I have but only for a while. I confronted her twice in my dreams and Ophis encountered her when she took over Mittelt's body during the rating game."
An alarm suddenly fills everyone's face but Anos raises a hand, "I know and I don't know how she does and neither does Ophis. But the real problem is that it appears that Death has broken part of the seal I placed on Mittelt."
"How much does she know," says Ajuka, the seal that Anos is referring to is the one he placed on everyone who knows his true identity, except for Ddraig since he is already sealed inside of the boosted gear, "also unknown, according to Ophis it seemed like she knew something but she was mostly phishing for information."
"So depending on what she knows she could end up telling the entire supernatural world," says Falbium rubbing his chin, "I don't think we have to worry about that," comments Ajuka, "according to history her father sealed her in the underworld unable to enter the outside world and since none of us have seen or heard anything. So I suspect she is cut off from the outside world and parts of the underworld. But the main problem is we don't know how to get to her domain even though it should be in the underworld."
Anos interjects after doing some research before the meeting, "apparently there was an entrance to her domain from the human world located somewhere in the Zagros mountains but it has been centuries so the terrain from that era is gone."
Falbium and Sirzechs raise an eyebrow and Ajuka explains, "according to mythology she apparently the only entrance to her domain from the human world is through the city of Kur in the Zagros mountains."
"I see but if she is in the underworld then just by going to the lowest level of hell we should run into her domain correctly," says Falbium thinking he found a simple solution to a hard question.
"True but the lowest part known to us is Cocytus and I doubt she is in Cocytus," says Sirzechs, "but we could ask Michael if he knows he has been around since creation or even Azazel."
Ajuka sighs, "true but that information will probably take a while to find I doubt they remember something like that off the tops of their heads, and plus they would probably want to know why we want to know."
"Why not ask Zekram," everyone turns their attention to Grayfia in confusion and she bows in apology, "excuse me for the interruption but Zekram is the last of the Devils who used to be an Angel and according to Lord Anos's story about Fallen Angels being sent to Ereshkigal so he should know where it is."
Realization forms on eye ones face except for Ophis, Anos then closes his eyes to try and remember the memory that she showed him with the Fallen's.
He saw the original Satans kneeling but pays more attention to the other Fallen behind them then he sees a Fallen with golden red hair that looked like a younger version of the current Zekram.
Anos opens his eyes after a few seconds and says, "Grayfia is correct I didn't notice it since I wasn't looking for him but he was there but do we really want to ask him?" They shake their heads no and decide to just ask either Michael or Azazel and going even further to consider telling them about Anos if it is necessary.
After a few more discussions regarding the matter the meeting draws to a close, "well that concludes the meeting does anyone else have anything else they want to say or discuss before we end this meeting," says Ajuka stacking the files on top of each other.
"How are things regarding finding a way home," says Serafall while waving her hand in the air, "fine a while ago Ajuka and I made a breakthrough but it seems I can tap into other worlds but for my own world I can't find it."
"I'm not doing anything," says Serafall very interested in the matter about new worlds, "Grayfia do I have anything planned for this afternoon," "it depends on how long Lord Anos's explanation last, you have a two o'clock appointment and it is currently one o'clock."
Sirzechs rubs his chin for a moment, "Anos how short can you keep this explanation," "I can just give a formal demonstration rather than just a long explanation," Falbium abruptly stands, "okay well I have no interest in this matter so I will be leaving," but Anos snaps his finger with a grin as they are teleported to the dimensional gap inside a barrier.
"I wish you would have said that sooner we are already here," "but I did," says Falbium as he sits back down in his chair very much annoyed that he was dragged here.
Anos recreated an identical table, floor, and chair inside the barrier, "well let's start off with a modified demonic transportation circle from my world," Anos sticks his hand out the barrier, the magic circle twirls flickers then nothing happens, "and that's the usual. Whenever I use a demonic transportation circle from my world this happens but when I was a combination of Devil and Demon magic I usually get another world."
Anos then combines devil and Demon teleportation circles, the area around the magic circle distorts as a small window reveals a black dimension with, and in the middle was a floating platform with a round table.
At this table sat and stood ten individuals, a man with red hair stood and extended his hand toward the sky as the others who sat around the table scooted back except for someone with blue hair.
It appeared as though he was about to bring his hand down on the table but he stooped inches from striking it and just paused there for several seconds. He stood straight and rolled his shoulders then turned his head toward the invisible window created by Anos.
Anos then waved his hand and the window disappeared, "did he see us," said Sirzechs slightly concerned, "I doubted it he probably sensed us but I doubt he actually sees us," "but that happens sometimes."
"But should we be worried," "no unless someone has the ability to copy or recreate magic that doesn't exist in their world," Anos looked at his hands then back to where the window was, the individuals he sensed from the other side were strong incredibly strong.
The one with red hair and the one with that had the aura of a dragon was just as strong too, "I should take care not to reopen a window to their world, two were strong but the one who caught my eye was the one with blue hair."
Anos then teleported them all back to the underworld while in deep thought, "Anos you okay you seem in deep thought," "no it's fine don't worry about it but that's usually how our tests go. We can open windows to other worlds but as for my world nothing comes up."
Sirzech stands with a clap and says, "thank you for the demonstration Anos but I think that is enough for today," "well this is eating into my nap," says Falbium as we waste no time teleporting out the room.
"Seems that has gotten easier for him," says Serafall as she takes her leave as well, "hey Anos could you go tell Rias the news I told you?" "Sure I need to go get Mittelt," says Anos as he teleports to the human world, leaving Sirzechs, Ajuka, and Grayfia alone in the room, "did you see that look in Anos's eye," "yes it seemed like caution."
Meanwhile in the world that Anos opened that world's sequence of events has been altered, "Great Sage what was that it felt like we were being watched," "an unknown magical signature was detected above the area of unknown origin."
"What really but why weren't you able to analyze it? Was because they canceled the spell before you could analyze it," "no the spell was completely analyzed but the magic signature, is unknown to this world except for a small portion that was demon magic but the rest is unknown."
Rimuru looks around cautiously it seems the only ones who recognized that they were being watched was Milim since her eye was glowing with an amused smirk.
While Guy was directly looking toward the spot where he sensed he was being watched from, "I guess I wasn't the only one who sensed that weird magic," "yes," Rimiru then looked toward Luminous her eyes were closed with her arms crossed but her head was tilted in the same direction as well.
Dino then abruptly said, "seems we have something else to talk about for Walpurgis," Guy narrowed his eyes this was a dimension of his creation, and no except with power that was equal or greater to his should be able to break inside, "yes it appears so."
Transition to Outside of the Old School Building
Anos was standing on top of Issei with his foot on his chest, in his right hand was Kiba's with his poison blade with an intense glare in his eye, and in his left hand was a girl.
She had chin-length blue hair with dark yellow eyes, there was another girl with brown hair running at him with a very familiar holy sword in her hands, "I don't know who you are but let Xenovia go."
Koneko had Mittelt pinned to the ground underneath her knee, Anos came here to deliver good news and found himself confused but good thing he arrived because it seems things would have taken a turn for the worse if Issei would have finished his attack or if Kiba stabbed this girl who was wielding a holy sword.
Lets go back thirty minutes earlier Mittelt, Asia and Issei were on their way to the old school building, "hey Mittelt did you ever get to talk to Rias," asked Asia, "no I was too busy getting harassed and annoyed by Issei's perverts and the rest of the male population," says Mittelt glancing at Issei.
"You could have left us alone no one told you to stay close to us," argues Issei, "correction I didn't hang around you I was protecting Asia from you perverts."
"Please stop fighting," says Asia grabbing both Issei and Mittelt's shoulder, "fine," growls Mittelt, "huh I wasn't even fighting," says Issei.
The trio walks through the double doors to see Rias sitting at the desk while Akeno stood next to her, Koneko was sitting on the couch eating food but Kiba still wasn't there.
"I see Kiba still isn't here," comments Mittelt under her breath but Asia pinches her arm causing her to yelp, "hey President wassup why are we here?"
Rias stands, "Sona informed me this morning that we have some guests that wants to speak with us," Mittelt raises an eyebrow, "do they happen to be Angels or people from the church?"
In response Rias raises her own eyebrow in response, "and how would you know that," "this morning I sensed someone watching us with a residual holy aura from the spot I sensed someone watching us."
Rias hums, "well you would be correct there are members from the church that are coming to speak with us about something," Koneko then looks towards the door, "they're here," Rias walks to the couch and Koneko stands behind the couch.
"Please stand behind me just like when Riser was here and Mittelt," "don't worry I'm standing in the corner just pretend I'm not here," right after saying that a knock comes on the door and Rias says, "come in," the door opens to reveal two girls in robes with their hoods on with a mysterious case on one of their hips but were giving off a holy aura that sent a shiver down Rias back.
Rias stands with a smile and extends her hand, "hello I am Rias Gremory and you are," the girls remove their hoods, "I am Irina and this is Xenovia," says the girl with twin tails.
"Yes it's a pleasure and you can put your hand away we don't shake hands with devils," says Xenovia with a slight edge in her voice, then Irina waves at Issei, "hey Issei it's been a while hasn't it," everyone instantly snaps their heads to Issei in confusion.
But he raises his hands defensively, "hey now I have never seen that girl before trust me I would remember," "Don't be like that Issei it's me I used to act like a boy but don't you remember your closest childhood friend," Issei takes another look at the girl that was starting to look vaguely familiar.
"You know what you are starting to look familiar," Xenovia sighs, "geez we are getting off track you guys can catch up later. We have something we need to discuss."
Rias nods and sits back gesturing for them to sit as well, "now how can a lowly devil like myself do for the followers of God," says Rias with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
"Yea it is weird but we have our reasons so as you may know the church has six holy swords three are in their passion while the other three have been stolen by Fallen Angels," after saying that Rias glances at Mittelt.
She shrugs in response and decides to question her later on, Irina and Xenovia turn around finally noticing Mittelt standing in the corner in silence, "who's that and why is she over there," asks Xenovia.
"Mittelt is a member of my brother's peerage who is staying with us for today pay her no mind she is just an observer," "fine but why did you glance at her when I said Fallen's took the swords," questions Xenovia with a raised eyebrow.
"Mittelt had a run-in with some Fallen a while back along with some members of my peerage that's all," out of respect for Mittelt and her brother Rias kept her identity secret.
Xenovia's eyes narrow but Irina slaps her back, "stop being so tense Xenovia," Xenovia sighs and reaches for an item wrapped in cloth, "this is one of the holy swords, Excalibur Destruction that was given to me."
Irina then extends her arm to the side revealing a cloth on her upper arm, "and this is mine Excalibur Mimic," Rias glances at both but doesn't reveal how both were making her very uneasy.
"So what exactly can we do for you," without missing a beat Xenovia says, "to stay out of it," Rias smirks, "what did you think we would side with the Fallen," "this is an altercation between us and the Fallen so we don't need devils getting involved."
Rias nods, "yes but it benefits us if the both of us fight it will just make the devils stronger, so please go ahead and fight but don't worry we have no need for holy swords so letting you two fight is the best solution for my family."
Xenovia's eyes narrow, "really if that's your thought process then we should cut you down now here and now," Rias eyes start to glow but then her nose starts to bleed as she starts coughing.
Xenovia smirks, "hmmm, it seems the devils aren't as strong as you think," exhaustion forms on Rias face but she pulls herself together as she wipes her nose, "don't worry this is nothing but to clear your anxiety the devils have no intention of getting involved in this altercation between you two."
Xenovia smirks, "good I was saying what our superiors were thinking, I honestly didn't believe you would," "well this means I won't be helping your side either," "that's fine as well so if you would excuse us we will be leaving."
Rias was about to ask if they wanted tea but Xenovia glanced at Asia with a raised eyebrow, "aren't you Asia Argento the witch."
Mittelt's eyes narrow along with everyone else she didn't like where this was going, and Irina abruptly stops walking and looks directly at Asia, "what no way that can't be her."
Irina then blinks rapidly, "wait it is her oh my gosh I heard she had the power to heal Devils and Fallen Angels so the church kicked her out for it."
For the next few moments, Mittelt was losing it and couldn't really hear what they were saying but one thing did cause her to snap, when she heard the trembling in Asia's voice and when Xenovia said you should let me execute you here and now.
Mittelt cast a bolt Jirasd so fast at Xenovia she didn't realize she had done it herself until Xenovia reflexively put her sword up defensively.
"What the heck do you know what you have done," barked Xenovia unleashing her sword, "who do you think you are saying you can execute my sister right in front of me."
The Jirasd in Mittelt's hand sparked more wildly as it grew more powerful, "you dare insult her and call it mercy I should kill you," Mittelt then extend her hand toward Xenovia as a burst of Jirasd strikes the sending Xenovia flying through the wall to the ground below.
Mittelt chases after her through the hole in the wall and instinctively Irina revealed her own sword, "Koneko go stop Mittelt and Irina wait let us handle this, we don't want to escalate things any further."
Irina looks around cautiously, "fine let me go stop Xenovia what she said was rather rude," Irina runs toward the hole and jumps out to see Koneko running toward Mittelt.
Mittelt was hurling lightning bolts at Xenovia as she swiped left and right cutting lighting bolts in half, "Mittelt you need to calm down," says Koneko as she jumps in the air kicking her to the ground.
Irina jumps in front of Xenovia stopping her from running at Mittelt while Koneko held her back, "out of the way these devils betrayed us."
"I know but we weren't sent here to start a war but to ask to operate in their territory," Xenovia glares at Mittelt, "I didn't start this she did."
"Then how about I finish it," Irina and Xenovia look to the left as Kiba walks up with a sword in both his hands while glaring not at Irina and Xenovia but at the swords in their hands.
Xenovia raises an eyebrow, "and who are you supposed to be," Kiba twirls both swords, "you're superior," Rias along with the rest of the peerage finally arrive on the scene, "Kiba stand down," "sorry president I can't do that."
Things were getting out of hand, Mittelt and Koneko were in a full-on confrontation now, "Akeno can you create a barrier we don't want anyone finding out what happening?"
Things were escalating too fast so she decided to let things play out instead of trying to defuse the situation, "fine if you guys want to fight then fight but please reframe from anything lethal."
"Fine but I will be erasing that disrespectful look in his eyes," says Xenovia pushing Irina aside, "and Issei play with your childhood friend," says Rias waving off Issei she would have defused the situation herself but anytime she exerted herself she got headaches and started bleeding from her nose.
So this was the best she could do for now until a better opportunity presented itself, "Koneko step aside I need to teach that brat some manners," but Koneko didn't budge she just stood there with her fist raised.
"Can't do that you are being emotional right now," Mittelt rolled her eyes, "she threatened to kill Asia I just can't let that slide and you know that," Koneko cracks her fingers, "fine if you get past me then you can do what you want," "don't you mean when I get past you?"
Suddenly three clones appear behind Koneko and they start to circle Mittelt, "you do know I can tell who the real one is right," says Mittelt as her eyes start to glow.
"There goes another sword Knight of Gremory. I thought you were my superior," says Xenovia after shattering another sword created by Kiba, "I was only testing the sword to see if it was the real deal."
Xenovia then rubbed her chin, "this ability looks familiar. Ahh yes, sword-birth you were a part of the holy sword project ?"
Kiba then creates another long sword as he dashes toward Xenovia but she just rolls her eyes, "futile it seems talk of you being superior was nothing more than talk."
Xenovia raises the flat side of her sword to block his attack but when Kiba brings his sword down she is caught off guard by the weight behind his blade.
Her knees start to buckle as the earth cracks a little under the force of Kiba bringing down his blade, "I see someone was holding back," grunts Xenovia.
"I haven't even gotten serious yet I'm still testing the waters," Xenovia starts to channel holy power into the blade as Kiba's sword starts to crack.
Kiba jumps back as his blade completely shatters, Kiba tosses the stump and then creates his sword of reflection and absorption, "that blade seems different from the last one but I will shatter it just as easily with my Excalibur," both dashes toward each other crossing their swords together, Kiba smirks and Xenovia notices something off about the sword.
Meanwhile, Irina and Issei's fight started off on a weird start, "ummm Irina we don't have to do this I mean…" "but we must because this has to be a trial from God?"
While Irina started spouting nonsense about how friends have become mortal enemies, Issei started a mental conversation with Ddraig, "so what are my chances of beating her," "from what I can tell easily if she didn't have that sword. Holy swords were created by the Biblical God to kill devils a single slash is enough to critically injure most devils."
"Good to know but what about me my skin is harder thanks to the dragon blood so I should be fine right," "not entirely you are still a devil and your skin isn't tough enough to protect you from a holy sword."
"Cool thanks," Issei then summons the Boosted Gear and gets into a battle stance, "wait is that the Boosted Gear? So you guys have twilight healing, sword birth, and the boosted gear, you guys have a lot of God's treasures."
Irina says this while looking at Rias but that split second gave Issei the time to cover the distance between them in an instant, "woah you're fast," says Irina as she cartwheels away, "almost had me there."
Issei retracts his fist and shrugs, "I was taught to take advantage of any situation presented to me." "Hmm the tactics of a coward I would expect nothing less of a devil," says Irina with a goofy grin, Irina then dashes toward swinging her sword trying to cut Issei in half.
Issei jumps…dives…leans right and left dodging Irina's attacks, "that was close I see you actually know how to use that sword."
"Yes just like you, my masters taught me well but they didn't teach me how to be a coward," "refrain from calling my master a coward, now if you were to say he is ruthless then I would be forced to agree with you."
"Oh sorry didn't mean to offend," Issei shrugs, "it's cool no harm done," Rias abruptly interrupts their conversation, "Issei enough, flirting, and get to fighting."
Issei nods without taking his eyes off Irina, "fine," "BOOST," roars the boosted gear and Issei feels his strength rise.
Issei then narrows his eyes as he dashes toward Irina faster than before catching her off guard as he plants his fist in her stomach.
"BOOST," lifting her off the ground slightly and then kicking her with his leg sending her lying into a tree, suddenly Issei feels light-headed as he feels pain in his arm.
"BOOST," there was a small scratch no more than two inches long but it hurt like hell, "it seems I was able to get you," says Irina using her sword to pull herself up ", BOOST". Issei drops to a knee as unimaginable pain washes over him but compared to the exhaustion he felt during the rating game was nothing compared to this ", BOOST".
Issei rolls his shoulders and stands back up with a defiant look in his eyes, "oh looks someone has strength left to fight but I suggest you surrender just one more cut like that and you might not survive."
"BOOST," Issei snickers, "thanks for the concern but I'm tougher than you think," Issei rolls his shoulders as a red orb appears in front of him, "Issei I don't think that's the best idea," "it's fine there isn't a lot of power in it so the best it can do is knock her on her ass."
"I don't know what you are planning but I will but I will slice that thing in two," "no I don't think you will," Irina and Issei look to the right at the familiar and unfamiliar voice, suddenly a fist grabs Issei's orb crushing it.
In a split second Issei is sent flying toward Xenovia and Kiba as they dash toward each other.
A few seconds earlier Xenovia stood there staring straight into Kiba's eyes as confused as to how his sword was draining the holy element in her sword, "what sword is that and how are you draining the holy power in my sword."
"I haven't come up with a name yet but I'm thinking of calling it Absolute Counter like an absolute counter to Excalibur," says Kiba as he narrows his with a smirk. "But I'm sure even that sword of yours has limits up against my Excalibur," Xenovia tightens the grip on her sword as it starts to glow.
Suddenly the white side of Absolute-Counter starts to glow brighter as the sword starts to crack, at that moment Kiba jumps back then while in the air he swipes the sword at her.
A burst of holy power shoots toward Xenovia as utter surprise washes over her, she jumps backward as the burst of power slams into the ground, "it seems that sword is full of surprises but I see that crack on your sword it seems there are limits to the amount of power it can absorb."
Xenovia twirls her sword around as it starts to glow brighter then she takes off in a full sprint at Kiba, "you're slow," says Kiba with a smirk, he then disappears in a blur as he gets behind her and slashes her in the back making her stumble, "that skin suit is thicker than it looks," Xenovia stabs the ground sending a wave of holy power into the earth.
Kiba is momentarily caught off guard but jumps back in time to dodge the attack getting slightly burnt by the holy magic, "you're a fast little devil aren't you," Kiba then creates his rapier in his left hand, "let's see if it can withstand this guys piercing power? You're only human so I don't need a lot."
Xenovia raised an eyebrow, "what do you mean," "once I bring you down I will destroy that sword and avenge my friends," "I doubt you will," both dash toward each other Kiba had rapier reeled back as the tip started to glow while Xenovia channeled holy power from the sword into her body boosting her speed and strength.
Suddenly a blur crashes in front of them as they abruptly stop, "does someone want to explain to me what's happening," says a very neutral voice, Kiba tries to pull back his rapier but it doesn't budge, he wipes the dust out his face, "Lord Anos," says Asia in a surprised tone.
"Hello Asia would someone like to explain why you guys are fighting members of the church," says Anos not really annoyed but more so curious, Anos attention is drawn to the individual who was fighting Issei as she says, "I don't know who you are but let Xenovia go," while running toward her with her Excalibur.
Anos looked to the individual who was fighting Kiba as she attempted to pull her sword the tip of her blade out from between both of his fingers, "fine here," but before Anos could toss the church girl at her friend Rias interjected herself between the both of them with her hands raised up.
"Stop brother don't do anything rash and Irina please stop. Let me handle this," Rias then looked toward Anos, "brother I had this handled before you interjected yourself into the sparing session."
"Under normal circumstances then yes but Issei and Kiba are stronger than they look. Issei's attack would have nearly killed the girl and I don't know which poison Kiba imbued into his sword but it would have killed this one."
"Wait master I made sure to," but Anos pushed his foot deeper into Issei's back, "you have the heart of a Dragon Issei so I don't think you understand just how strong you have become."
Rias turned her attention toward him in surprise, "and Kiba, I see that look in your eyes you need to calm down," Kiba was about to protest he wasn't going to kill her but Anos kept talking, "I can sense the amount of poison magic welling up in that blade and I can tell you for a fact that whatever it is it would have killed her," stated Anos.
"So the Devil King Lucifer came all the way from hell to protect his darling little sister," says Xenovia as she struggles to pull back her sword, "Lucifer," says Anos with a raised eyebrow but Irina gasps, "Xenovia he was in the brief about Rias before we left," Xenovia then raises her own eyebrow, "all I remember is Rias is the little sister of the current Lucifer?"
"Yes and she has a twin brother named Anos who is ummm…" but Irina trails off to avoid saying something she shouldn't, "who is what," says Anos as he lets go of both Xenovia and Kiba's swords giving Irina his full attention.
"Anos that's beside the point," says Rias trying to get everyone back on subject, "Anos why are you here," "well our brother asked me to deliver some good news," Anos then becomes more serious, "By order of the Devil King Lucifer and the Devil Council, Issei, Kiba, and Akeno are to be promoted to Mid-Class Devil. But Koneko and Issei will be recognized as upper mid-class devils."
Anos then removes his foot from Issei's back then picks him up by the collar, "but after the recklessness, I have seen from Kiba and Issei it seems I should ask to have this new rank revoked."
Anos then points to Koneko who was still holding down a struggling Mittelt, "and as you can see Koneko has subdued her appointment with little injury to herself or her opponent. Granted she trained for a lot longer under me but the strength between your opponents is great enough to have achieved this same result."
Anos then drops Issei, "and why are there members of the church here," Anos had a sneaking suspicion that it had something to do with Kokabiel but confirmation would also be nice to know.
"Nothing that I can't handle," says Rias glancing at Xenovia and then back to Anos, then he leans toward Rias with narrowed eyes in response to this weird gesture she steps back, "why are you being weird."
"Are you okay you look pale," says Anos rubbing his chin, Rias coughs in her hand to clear her throat and sees small drops of blood, "yes just feeling a little under the weather," Anos then places his hand on Rias forehead, "you may be the first devil in existence to have a fever," Anos then smiles, "don't forget to find time to have a little rest."
Rias brushes Anos's hand aside while rolling her eyes, "I don't need rest I have work to do," "well Rias we will be on our way, and don't forget what we said," says Xenovia as she walks away while gesturing with her hand for Irina to follow.
"I'm leaving too," says Kiba walking away before anyone could tell him to stop, "Kiba is giving off the same aura he had when I first met him. Did something happen recently?"
Rias glances at Kiba as he disappears into the forest, "last night after we left I got a call that there was a stray that needed to be felt with so I had everyone converge at Issei's house then leave from there. So while I was briefing everyone about everything we knew about a stray Kiba was going through Issei's baby pictures. He happened to see one that had a picture of Issei sitting in front of a holy sword and I'm betting that has brought up some painful memories."
Issei finally stands from the ground after being dropped and Koneko continues to hold Mittelt on the ground since she was still trying to fight Xenovia, "wait did something happen to Kiba," says Issei with confusion and concern in his voice, Rias was about to answer but a communication circle appears next to Anos ear, "excuse me," says Anos as he takes a step back allowing Rias to explain Kiba's situation to Issei as Asia takes this time to listen in as well.
"Hello, mother how can I help you," "I need you to meet me at the Phenex estate," "yes I can do that I just," but Venelana cuts Anos, "no now," Anos raises an eyebrow, "why the rush," "you have a habit of talking your way out of situations but I doubt you will do the same here."
"Okay fine I'll be there in a second, which part of the estate are you at, let me just tell Rias I am leaving," "I am at the main gate and okay I'll be right here," the communication circle disappears and Anos turns his attention to Rias stopping her story, "hey I have to go to the underworld but I will return for Mittelt," Mittelt stops her struggling and snaps her head to Anos, "wait what about me?"
"Apologies Mittelt but I have to take care of something with my mother," then Anos connects their thoughts, "I need you to be my eyes up here I have a feeling something is about to go down with Kokabiel," "yea I know that's why the church girls were here to tell Rias to stay out of it," "I doubt she will keep me updated if something happens," Mittelt mentally sighs, "fine whatever."
Anos ends the mental link and creates a magic circle underneath him, "Rias if you need me don't hesitate to call," "I'm not your responsibility but I'll hold you up to that," in a flash of red Amos disappears and reappears in front of a large metal gate that leads to a massive mason and when Anos turns around he is greeted by his mother.
She is being escorted by numerous security guards that are keeping back a horde of paparazzi as they start taking pictures of Anos at his sudden arrival, Anos looks down at his mother and she just smiles giving him a wink in response to the situation, "well shall we," says Venelana as she walks toward the gate with Anos following right behind.
"Am I going to be left in the dark or are you going to tell me what's happening," says Anos giving his mother a playful smirk at everything that's happening, "oh can't you just read my mind," "funny," since they were walking up to the doors to the mansion alone it was fine to talk freely until they reached it.
"Come now don't look like that it was just a playful joke," says Venelana patting Anos on the back, "yes accidentally putting your mother in the hospital is a good joke," says Anos with a simple roll of the eyes, then Venelana punches him in the shoulder.
"Did I not say I it's alright Anos now stop looking so down," "this is my normal face mother," says Anos keeping his normal neutral laid back expression, "but the reason for our visit is our families need to spend time together," they slow their pace as they near steps to the four story mansion, "I see but couldn't you just tell me," they reach the door and Anos knocks.
"Do I really need to answer that," says Venelana with a raised eyebrow, Anos tilts his head in response, "So what am I doing exactly," "Anos I don't think I need to explain to you why our families need to get along, " the door opens and Anos shakes his head with a smirk, "no I know. I did do a number on Riser."
A butler gestures for them to come in and they walk inside to see a large group of maids and butlers standing shoulder to shoulder leading all the way to a spiral staircase and at the bottom stood Lord and Lady Phenex with Ravel in a dress with a massive blush on her face.
"Where father I feel he should be here," whispers Anos to his mothers, she waves at the trio, "he has other matters to attend to," "welcome Venelana and Anos, " says Lord Phenex, he then coughs while slightly pushing Ravel and she jumps slightly, "welcome to our home Anos glad you took the time to come by it is greatly appreciated."
Venelana chuckles and Anos smiles warmly, "hello Ravel it's nice to see you as well. Would you like to see something interesting and Lord and Lady Phenex you are welcome to come as well," Ravel looked visibly torn it seemed she wanted to protest but also seemed very curious about what Anos had in mind, "well we did have something planned but I am intrigued about what you have in mind since you didn't know you were coming until moments ago."
Anos smirks while tilting his head toward his mother understanding the hidden implication that this was a secret kept hidden well, "yes," Anos creates a teleportation circle, "now would you all please gather around," the trio step inside the transportation circle and in a flash they were gone and reappear in front of a forest.
"This is a nice forest but I don't think this is what you wanted to show us," says Lord Phenex a little curious as to why they were brought into a forest. Anos says nothing and walks into the forest but suddenly he vanishes as part of the forest he walked into ripples, Venelana then follows right behind and the same happens.
Leaving the trio outside the forest, Ravel reaches out her hand to touch a tree branch and to her confusion, she grabs it thinking she would have touched a barrier or something.
Then abruptly her hand disappears up to her wrist and she pulls back instinctively checking her hand to see nothing wrong with it, Anos then reappears a few feet to the left, "you guys are good to come in now," Anos then outstretches his hand toward Ravel she takes it as Anos pulls her inside with her parents following right behind.
Ravel's vision distorts but then her eyes widen in surprise to see a massive medical castle, "wait I have seen this before isn't this your castle from your world, Delsgade," says Ravel.
Lord and Lady Phenex look at Anos in complete surprise, "how did you get your castle here," Anos then points to his mother's necklace that he gave her, "I have the power of creation so creating my own castle is nothing but a cakewalk."
The castle gates open after a wave of Anos's hand, "it's nothing like the original but visibly it's the same," and Anos gives them a tour of his castle, they went out of the empty city inside the castle walls than to the main castle itself.
Anos showed them the massive dining room, the empty weapons vault that would have normally housed thousand of weapons with almost god-like abilities but now only housed swords that were only visibly similar.
The last room Anos showed them was his throne room and for Ravel, it was nice to see but she couldn't move her eyes away from the spot where she saw Anos die, "is that the spot," "yes this is the spot where I gave my life for my people," after hearing this revelation Lord and Lady Phenex look to Anos in surprise as far as they thought he couldn't die so they were very curious how he came here if he couldn't.
"In my world, there is only one blade that can truly kill me the Thunder God Sword Evansmana," Anos then waves his hand from the throne room door to the throne itself, suddenly a magical projection of Hero Kanon, the Great Spirit Reno, and the Goddess of Creation, Militia, appear walking toward the throne everyone looks toward the throne to see another Anos.
But his hair was black and he hand on his normal attire from his world, the trio then hear the plan Anos offered to stop the war and bring peace once and for all. Hero Kanon accepted the deal and then thrust the sword toward Anos after his two partners poured their magic into the spell.
Anos then paused the memory of the moment before he was stabbed by the sword just like what he did with Ravel, "keep it going," she says to Anos, "I want to see the rest."
Anos stares at her for a second then gives her a nod continuing the memory, Kanon's sword goes through the magic circle and straight through Anos's chest causing Ravel and everyone to wence in pain allowing Anos to cast Beno Leven using his life force, thus creating four walls to separate the races for the next 1,000 years.
Before dying, Anos told Kanon that he would reincarnate in 2,000 years, promising him to be his friend when they met again, "so you died for the sake of peace," said Lady Phenex looking at Anos with pity in her eyes, Anos was going to respond but a communication circle formed next to his ear, "apologies one second. Yes Mittelt," there was silence for a few seconds, "hello is everything alright?"
"Yes everything is fine I called by accident," Anos raised an eyebrow, "you called me by accident," "yea and there is no need to come here everything is fine," Anos glanced at his mother, "I never said I was coming back are you sure everything is fine," "yes gotta go bye," Mittelt then abruptly hung up ending their call.
"Is everything alright," asked Venelana, "don't know but if there is a problem Mittelt will let me know," "why not wipe the humans out completely you certainly had the power to destroy them," asked Lord Phenex, "I considered it for some time and made plans but in time I decided that it really didn't matter. In time I lost interest in war with humans too many of my people were dying and I grew tired of killing humans which is why I stopped killing altogether."
"Do you hold any regrets since you didn't reincarnate after two thousand years," says Lady Phenex, "no because I have met so many amazing people and I'm more than positive that my people are safe and are awaiting my return." The conversation ended and Anos along ended the tour of his castle and teleported the Phenex family and his mother back to their estate the back teleported his mother and himself back home.
The Next Day
After everything died down Anos finally had more time to work on finding a way home, Ajuka wasn't with him this time he had prior engagements that needed his attention.
Anos had been working for a while and was completely engrossed in his work, Anos was currently looking into the reason why he opened windows to other worlds but finding his own was providing problems.
Ophis was back at one of the secret bases of the chaos brigade checking up on a few things, a knock comes on the door pulling Anos out of the spell he was working on, if it was Ajuka he would have just walked in and his servants don't come here either, Anos opens the door to see Serafall with an innocent smile on her face.
"Hey are you busy," Anos looks back inside and then back to Serafall, "always, how can I help you," "cool I bet you have been working all day do you want to grab lunch," Anos narrows his eyes in suspicion, "what are you planning?"
"Nothing," she says with a pout, "is it wrong for me not just want to hand out with," "no but this is pretty random but yes I could go for some food," Anos walks out and shuts the door, "what did you have in mind," Serafall then creates a transportation circle, "I have food in my office," and in a flash of blue they were gone.
Anos looks outside the window after the flash from the teleportation circle disappears, "didn't realize how late it was the suns coming down," "oh yea did I say lunch I meant dinner," says Serafall with a nervous smile, "you okay," "yes just nervous never been on a date before," Anos raises an eyebrow this was getting weird, "what's going on your acting weird even for you."
"I don't know what you mean I'm acting perfectly fine," she says as she starts to sweet, Anos was about to comment again on her weird behavior but a communication appears next to his ear.
"Hey, mother ho…" "Anos it's Mittelt she just teleported into the mansion and is badly hurt," Anos looks at Serafall and says, "I'm on the way, so I see you were stalling, my brother should have chosen Ajuka, " before serafall could respond Anos teleports away he reappears in front of the estate then senses where Mittelt was finding her in her room.
"Oh um hello uhhh honey," Anos looks down as his confusion rises, "Ravel...why do you have suitcase," "umm..well our mothers thought it would be best for us to move in together to get more acquainted."
So many things to unpack right there but Anos needed to go to Mittelt, so Anos grabbed Ravel by the hand startling her, and abruptly teleported to Mittelt, upon his arrival it had gone unchecked since they were too busy trying to save Mittelt, Ravel looked on in utter concern and worry as Anos outstretched his hand to her.
While his father talked on a communicator with a very concerned tone while his mother hovered over Mittelt while servants attended to her wounds but stopped when they out of nowhere they started to heal at a rapid rate.
"Lord Gremory the girl's wounds have completely healed it's a miracle," says one of the female servants, he does a complete one-eighty and grabs Mittelt who moments ago was missing three fingers. "
Would someone like to explain what's happening," says Anos as everyone finally notices his presence, Mittelt groans and sits up rubbing her head. Then her eyes widen as unimaginable worry forms on his face, "where's Anos we need his help," Anos takes a step forward, "right here what happened?"
