As the people from LDS leave, the action field deactivates.
"That was pretty amazing, wasn't it? To think he could even use Pendulum..." Sora says impressed at Reji's skill.
At that moment Yuya leaves the field, her goggles covering her eyes.
"Yuya!" Yuzu says as she runs over to her concerned.
"Big sis Yuya!" Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi say as they walk over to her with Gongenzaka and Sora behind them.
Right before they reach her Yuya falls to her knees making them stop.
"How could he know how to Pendulum Summon... Pendulum Summoning is... unique to me..." Yuya mutters in disbelief.
"Yuya..." Yuzu says concerned for her friend.
"Man... anyways, good for us!" Shuzo says with an awkward smile as he walks toward them while scratching the back of his head.
"Good for us?" Yuzu asks, rather frustrated at her father's tactless behavior.
"Yeah. The LDS left. First and foremost we managed to protect our school thanks to everyone's efforts." Shuzo says.
"Even if you say "everyone", the only one who actually won was Yuya..." Sora points out, making Gongenzaka grit his teeth in shame and Yuzu look down in disappointment.
"You didn't even fight for us! How can you complain?" Tatsuya lashes out at him.
"Yeah, you weakling!" Ayu says as she turns around, voicing her own complain.
"You Show Duel School doesn't want someone like you on board!" Futoshi says.
"Yeah, yeah. Sorry." Sora halfheartedly says before he starts walking out.
"Hey, where are you going, Sora?" Shuzo asks before turning his attention to the kids.
"And you guys shouldn't be saying things like that!" Shuzo says scolding them.
"Whatever! That guy... We don't need weaklings anyway!" Futoshi and Ayu say.
"If LDS tries to attack us again, I'll protect us next time!" Tatsuya says.
"Me too!" Futoshi joins in.
"Me three!" Ayu says.
"So please, train us again! With your Pendulum Summoning!" Tatsuya tells Yuya as he tries reaching for her but
"Pendulum Summoning isn't just "mine"!" Yuya lashes out at him, giving him a slight scare, she shoots up and tries to run away but is stopped by Shuzo who grabs her by the wrist.
"And where do you think you're going? Reality won't change even if you run from it. Just as you said, Pendulum Summoning isn't something unique to you anymore." Shuzo tells her in a solemn tone.
Meanwhile at LDS Reji enters the control room with Himika and Nakajima.
"President! Good work as always." An employ greets him.
"Report to me the detail of the Marco assault incident." Reji says, cutting straight to the point.
"Yes, sir. The incident took place in Maiami City's District NDL-038. The incident took place at 17:54. We detected a fairly strong summoning reaction." The employ next to him says as districts schematics are pulled on screen.
"What was the summoning method?" Himika asks.
"It was an Xyz summon." the employ replies.
"At that time, Yuya Sakaki was with us..." Himika says.
"Above all, she had neither the knowledge nor the power necessary to perform an Xyz summon. It should be clear that Yuya Sakaki is not the culprit here." Reji points out.
"Nakajima. Where is Marco now?" Reji asks.
"Right away. His whereabouts are still unknown. Just... Section chief! Bring the items." Nakajima says as he calls over the section chief who brings over a plastic bag.
"This was found at the scene of the incident. His team got to the scene before anyone else found these." the first employ says as the section chief shows them the bag that contains a broken violet duel disk along with three cards. Fusion Recovery, Instant Fusion and The Last Warrior from Another Planet.
"They're significantly damaged, but there's no mistaking that they belong to Marco." the section chief says.
"Use all of LDS's resources to locate Marco. Do not stop until you find him." Reji orders
In the LDS lobby Masumi, Hokuto and Yaiba are left waiting.
"If he's okay, why won't they let us see him? Professor Marco would surely be happy if he saw me!" Masumi angrily questions.
"I bet he is wrapped up in mummy bandages just like Sawatari and doesn't want anyone to see him in that state." Hokuto guesses.
"Don't liken me to that piece of trash!" Masumi snaps at him, making him sweat drop.
"But for him to get hurt even though he wasn't playing on an Action Field..." Yaiba wonders. At that Masumi gets a determined look on her face and starts running off.
"Ah... hey, where are you going?" Yaiba asks her.
"To find out what really happened, obviously!" Masumi tells him as she turns her head back while still running.
Back at You Show Duel School Shuzo is still talking to Yuya.
"Pendulum cards were a power granted uniquely to you. Despite that, more people who use them have shown up. That's a shock to you, isn't it? I don't know how Reji Akaba got his hands on Pendulum cards. Maybe his company developed them." Shuzo says, the last part shocking everyone.
"Company?" Yuzu asks.
"Reji Akaba is the CEO of Leo Corporation. For his company which boasts the worldwide number one share in duel systems, decrypting the secret of Pendulum cards should be child's play. If that is true, one day the world will be overflowing with Pendulum cards." Shuzo explains, shocking Yuya who shakes out of his grip.
"Duel me, right this instant! I'll beat that pessimistic personality of yours into shape with my hot-blooded guidance!" Shuzo declares as he challenges her.
"Wait, what are you saying, Dad!" Yuzu tries to protest.
"That's why you couldn't beat Reji Akaba! Now, duel me!" Shuzo says as he pulls up her goggles.
"Yuya won at first, didn't she? I'm the one who lost! If you're going to get mad at someone, get mad at me!" Yuzu says trying to protect her friend.
"No need for interference." Gongenzaka tells her as he puts a hand on her shoulder.
"The principal is challenging Yuya to a serious duel. You can tell just by looking at his eyes." Gongenzaka explains as he lets go of Yuzu's shoulder.
"No way..." Yuzu says and walks away to make a call.
"I still haven't agreed to this!" Yuya protests as Shuzo drags her into the dueling arena.
"Are you ready, Gongenzaka?" Shuzo asks, ignoring Yuya.
"Yeah!" Gongenzaka replies, now in the control room for the solid vision system.
"I still haven't-' Yuya tries to argue but is cut off by Shuzo.
"Okay, do it Gongenzaka!" Shuzo says.
"Got it! Action Field On! Activating Field Magic: Magical Broadway!" Gongenzaka says as the field activates, a big city setting illuminated by bright lights.
"Woah, awesome! It's so pretty!" Tatsuya, Futoshi and Ayu say as they marvel at the sight of it.
"Could this be..." Yuzu says as she walks over to them, recognizing the field.
"Dad's..." Yuya says, recognizing the field as well.
"Yes, it is. This is the field that your father, Yusho Sakaki, held as his forte. In place of him, I'll show you what a real Entertainment Duel looks like!" Shuzo declares.
"Are you saying my duels are fake?" Yuya exclaims, slightly insulted.
"Your duels aren't even comparable to those of your father! They're not even comparable to mine." Shuzo states.
"If that's the case, I'll show you!" Yuya says as she activates her duel disk, now fully insulted.
"Duelists locked in battle!" Yuya starts
"Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" Shuzo continues
"They storm through..." Yuya says
"this Field!" Shuzo cuts in
"Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling! Action..." they say together
"Duel!" "Duel!" Yuya and Shuzo say as the action cards are dispersed.

"I activate Guts Master Fire's effect! Once per turn I can Special Summon one Guts Master from my hand! I summon Guts Master Heat!" Shuzo explains, as his first monster creates a fire ball from which his second emerges.

"I activate Guts Master Heat's effect! Once per turn I can Special Summon one Guts Master from my hand! I Summon Guts Master Red!" Shuzo explains as his second monster throws a ball that ignites and from the flames comes his third monster.

"Hot-blooded monsters on the Broadway..." Tatsuya says impressed.
"It's kind of unfitting..." Ayu says, unimpressed.
"It's so stifling!" Futoshi says.
Yuzu meanwhile is embarrassed.
"Those are the principal's fighting spirit monsters!" Gongenzaka notes.
"I set two cards and end my turn! Now come at me, Yuya!" Shuzo says as his facedowns materialize.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuya says as she starts her turn.

"I activate my Continuous Trap, Full Throttle Soul! When I control a Guts Master, both of us must reveal our hands!" Shuzo explains as his trap reveals Yuya's cards, surprising her.
"He said both of them, but the only hand that's been revealed is big sis Yuya's!" Futoshi says.
"Look carefully! The principal's hand is at zero, isn't it?" Ayu says.
"That's it! That's why he Set all his cards!" Tatsuya deduces.
"Oh, oh! Look what we have here, Stargazer and Timegazer... So, of course you're going to Pendulum Summon, right?" Shuzo says in a slight mocking tone as he looks at Yuya's cards.
"Come at me! Unless what? It's not like you're afraid of being compared to Reji Akaba and can't use them, is it? Isn't that right, Mrs. Sore Loser Yuya?" Shuzo says, now straightly mocking her.
"That's horrible! Why would he harass Yuya like that?" Yuzu yells, enraged at her father's behavior.
"You're the worst!" Ayu says, agreeing with Yuzu, as she sticks her tongue out.
"I Summon Entermate Friendonkey!" Yuya says as her monster appears.

"When this card is Summoned, I can Special Summon one Level Four or lower Entermate monster from my hand or Graveyard! I Special Summon Entermate Whip Viper!" Yuya explains, as the box on Friendonkey's side opens and Whip Viper pops out.

"Hey now, are you really not going to use your Pendulums?" Shuzo asks condescending.
"Shut up!" Yuya replies.
"Battle Phase! Friendonkey, attack Guts Master Red!" Yuya orders as her monster jumps at its target.
"I activate Guts Master Fire's effect! Once per turn I can prevent another Guts Master that's in attack mode from being destroyed in battle!" Shuzo explains as Fire jumps in front of Red to protect it.
Shuzo: 4000 - 3900 LP
"I activate Guts Master Heat's effect! Once per turn, when a Guts Master that's in attack mode battles, I can destroy the monster it battled after the damage is dealt!" Shuzo says as Heat tackles and destroys Friendonkey.
"Uhh... big sis Yuya's monster! It got destroyed!" Tatsuya and Ayu exclaim.
"Hmm... a spectacular combo by three monsters. This is truly the technique of a professional." Gongenzaka comments.
"What are you saying? I'm just getting started!" Shuzo says as he grabs onto a ring, swings on it, leaps and grabs an action card.
"Dammit... But I've still got Whip Viper over here! Attack, Whip Viper! Take out Guts Master Red!" Yuya commands.
"It's about time... for me to show you a real Entertainment Duel, isn't it? I activate the Action Magic, Illusion Dance! All monsters on the field are changed to defense mode!" Shuzo explains as Whip Viper's attack stops and all monsters start dancing as they change mode.

"That's right! Shake it, shake it! This is the true original way of making the entire audience smile, the Yusho Sakaki style Action Duel!" Shuzo says as he starts dancing around himself, like a fool.
"Dad... you're really full of yourself!" Yuzu says in a mix of anger and embarrassment as she readies her fan.
"Oh dear, Shuzo is just as tactless as always." a voice from behind her says.
"Mrs. Sakaki!" Yuzu says as she looks back toward her.
"Our guy would certainly be able to get the message across more stylish." Yoko says.
"Message? What message?" Yuzu questions.
"I end my turn." Yuya says.
"At this moment Illusion Dance's effect ends and all monsters return to attack mode." Shuzo explains as the monsters switch modes again.

"Exactly! Yusho Sakaki was an entertainer far cooler and more magnificent than anyone else. But it wasn't always like that." Shuzo states.
"Yusho Sakaki brought thrills and speed to Action Dueling. However, his acrobatic style attracted a lot of criticism. But eventually, the jeers turned into cheers, and Yusho Sakaki became a real shining star of the Action Dueling world. The door to a new world won't open unless someone with courage pushes it! And now, Yuya! You've opened a new door called Pendulum! But now, Pendulum isn't exclusive to you anymore! Eventually, anyone will be able to Pendulum Summon!" Shuzo explains.
"My turn! Draw!" Shuzo says as he starts his turn.

"Got it!" Shuzo says as his trap reveals his card.
"Exchanging Diary of Youth?" Ayu and Tatsuya question.
"What's that supposed to be?" Futoshi asks.
"I activate the Magic Card, Exchanging Diary of Youth! When I control a Guts Master I draw two cards and add them to my opponents hand, then I can add two cards from my opponent's hand to my hand!" Shuzo explains.
"What?!" Yuya asks.
"I drew Guts Master Fire and Guts Master Heat! First I'll let you have these!" Shuzo says as he tosses them at Yuya.
"And the ones I'll take in exchange are Stargazer and Timegazer Magician!" Shuzo declares shocking Yuya.
"The monsters I add to my hand can't be Normal or Special Summoned this turn. In addition, I activate the Magic Card, Youth Call! When my Guts Master cards are on my opponent's field and or in their hand, I can return those cards to my hand! The monsters I add to my hand through this effect can't be Normal Summoned this turn." Shuzo explains as his last set card activates, and he reclaims his monsters.
"HOWEVER! I can Pendulum Summon them! Using Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale! With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon multiple monsters from Level Two to Seven!" Shuzo says as Yuya's magicians appear in scales on his field, shocking the audience.

"Pendulum Summon! Light the flame of my soul with your burning red blood! Guts Master Fire! Heat!" Shuzo chants as his monsters appear.

"What is it? Shocked that even I can Pendulum Summon? Yusho Sakaki would never feel that way. When everyone started Action Dueling like him, he was overjoyed!" Shuzo says.
"Overjoyed?" Yuya questions.
"That's right, and he undauntedly polished his skills. Everyone around him followed his example and created the prosperity of Action Duels we know today through diligent training!" Shuzo explains.
"He said so, too..." Yuya mutters to herself as she remembers Reji calling her father the pioneer of Action Dueling and that he respected him.
"Only the best know what it's like to be the best! You have to become the best, Yuya! As the first one to open the door called Pendulum Summoning, you need to set an example for those who follow! Fearlessly hone your skills against Reji Akaba!" Shuzo tells her.
"I end my turn!" Shuzo says.
"What? He's not attacking?" Futoshi questions.
"I told you he's tactless didn't I?" Yoko tells them.
"That's it! Even though he didn't have to go through the trouble of Pendulum Summoning..." Tatsuya says.
"He's always said that there are things more important than winning. If he didn't think that, he would have been more successful as a pro duelist." Yoko says before she starts walking out.
"Huh? Mrs. Sakaki are you leaving?" Yuzu asks.
"It's okay now. It's not my turn to chime in yet." Yoko says as she winks at her.
"The cards exchanged by Exchanging Diary of Youth return to their owner's hands at the end of the turn." Shuzo explains as his two Guts Masters return to his hand and Yuya regains her magicians.
As she looks at her hand Yuya thinks about what Reji said about the evolution of Pendulum Summoning.
"Reji Akaba was trying to go beyond the limits of Pendulums... But I was..." Yuya thinks before she remembers her father's advice to move forward and not curl in fear if she wants to win.
"Have courage and step up front!" Yuya says out loud.
"I can't see the next evolution of Pendulums." Yuya says as she clutches her pendant.
"However! My turn!" Yuya says as she starts her turn.

"Ladies and Gentleman! Now I'll show you the true original Yuya Sakaki style Entertainment Duel!" Yuya declares as a spotlight shines on her.
"Come, Whip Viper!" she says as her monster coils around her arm. Yuya then uses Whip Viper to swing up to a ring and swings toward a rooftop where she grabs an action card.
"All right! I activate the Action Magic, Illusion Dance!" Yuya says as she grabs onto a ring to stop herself from falling and all monsters start to swing around as if they are dancing as they switch to defense mode.

"Why use that card now?" Ayu questions.
"Guts Masters can only use their effects on each other while in attack mode." Yuzu clarifies.
"If you put them in defense mode, their effects don't activate!" Tatsuya says understanding it.
"But even Whip Viper is dancing!" Ayu says.
Yuya swings from the ring and leaps from platform to platform until she lands on another roof where she picks up another action card.
"All right, perfect!" she says satisfied with what she got.
"Now, the moment you've all been waiting for: today's main event!" Yuya announces as she spreads her arms while standing on the tallest building on the field.
"That girl..." Shuzo says.
"With Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya says as her magicians appear in the scales.

"With this, I'm able to simultaneously Summon multiple monsters from Level Two to Seven! Swing, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth my monsters! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Entermate Spike Eagle! and Entermate Plusturtle!" Yuya chants as her monsters appear.

Yuya then swings on a ring and lands on Odd-Eyes neck.
"I activate Spike Eagle's effect and target Odd-Eyes with it! This turn if Odd-Eyes attacks a monster in defense mode he will be able to deal piercing damage!" Yuya explains as Spike Eagle soars around them and Odd-Eyes's eyes glow.
"A piercing effect?" Gongenzaka exclaims surprised.
"Moving on, I activate Plusturtle's effect! Once per turn I can increase the Level off all face up monsters on the field by one!" Yuya says as her monster stamps a paper and the levels of all monster's increase.

"And now I activate the Action Magic, Illusion Fire and target Odd-Eyes with it! Because of that other monsters I control can't attack this turn, but Odd-Eyes can attack once for every monster I control!" Yuya explains.
"Odd-Eyes is going to attack three times?!" Tatsuya asks shocked.
"Battle Phase! Odd-Eyes, attack Guts Master Fire! Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya declares as she and her dragon jump of the roof. As the attack flies it envelops Spike Eagle and they become one.
"Woah, it's a real phoenix!" Shuzo says amazed at what he sees.
"At this moment Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's effect activates! When it battles a Level Five or higher monster the damage is doubled!" Yuya says as the attack destroys its target.
Shuzo: 3900 - 2300 LP
"Next one! Attack Guts Master Heat!" Yuya says, as Plusturtle skips over the flames as it retracts into its shell and crashes into Heat destroying it.
"The damage is doubled!" Yuya points out.
Shuzo: 2300 - 500 LP
"This is the end! Attack Guts Master Red!" she says as Whip Viper slithers into the flames and collides with Red destroying it.
"The last one is double damage as well!" Yuya says.
"I'm burning, I'm burning! I've burnt out!" Shuzo yells as he is blown backward.
Shuzo: 500 - 0 LP
Winner: Yuya
At that Yuya and her monsters take a bow and the action field deactivates.
"Principal!" Yuya yells as she rushes over to him.
"Hang on! Are you okay?" she asks as she lifts his head slightly.
"You've done well Yuya. Everything I wanted to convey has been conveyed..." Shuzo says before falling unconcious again.
"Principaaal!!!" Yuya yells at that.
Three seconds later Yuzu's fan smashes Shuzo's face.
"Don't just die like that!" Yuzu yells at him before her calm demeanor returns.
"This is youth!" Shuzo says as he clutches his face in pain.
"Thanks Principal!" Yuya tells him.
"I'll train harder than anyone else. I'll get better and stronger! So one day I can become like my dad, a duelist that puts smiles on everyone's faces!" Yuya declares.
"Yuya..." Yuzu mutters at that, her expression becoming determined.
The next day at school Yuya and Yuzu are sitting on a bench having lunch, with Yuya eating her food with a lot of gusto.
"Hey! Slow down you're going to choke!" Yuzu tells her. Suddenly a hand offers Yuzu a handkerchief. When they look up they see its Sawatari.
"Hey there." Sawatari greets them.
"Sawatari!" Yuzu says before turning her head away from him in disgust.
"Sheesh, you're so uncouth for a lady! Your eating habits and Dueling are both so dirty!" Sawatari tells Yuya.
"Dirty?! My eating habits aside, what about my Dueling is dirty?!" Yuya questions, insulted at his statement.
"I heard you ambushed someone again." Sawatari tells her.
"That wasn't Yuya though! Are you really that stupid that you can't tell apart a guy from a girl!" Yuzu denies making Sawatari click his tongue.
"But... what do you mean again?!" Yuzu asks.
"An LDS lecturer was attacked... by someone who uses Xyz Summons." Sawatari clarifies, surprising the duo.
"That's why he left in a hurry like that!" Yuya tells Yuzu, to which she nods.
"I was kidding about you being the culprit this time. The victim was an LDS teacher. You couldn't have beaten him even with those cowardly Pendulum Summons." Sawatari says, irritating Yuya.
"First I didn't attack you either. And second what about my Pendulum Summon is cowardly?!" Yuya exclaims angered.
"The fact that only you possess it is unfair!" Sawatari points out as he leans closer to her, before backing away with a slight blush that he instantly buries with his arrogance.
"But that'll end soon. There are rumors that Leo Corporation is independently developing Pendulum cards. I'm going to get my hands on those... and defeat you!" Sawatari says as he points at her.
"That's all I came here to say, see ya. I'll be waiting at the Junior Youth Championship." Sawatari says as he walks away.
"Junior Youth Championship?" Yuya says before she realizes her predicament.
Later after school Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi are waiting for Yuya and Yuzu at the school gate.
"Big sis Yuya! Big sis Yuzu" Ayu greets them.
"Had fun at school?" Futoshi asks.
"Let's hurry up and go to Duel Sch..." Tatsuya tries to say before seeing the expression on Yuya's face.
"What's wrong big sis Yuya?" Tatsuya asks.
"You're not qualified? For the Junior Youth Championship?" Futoshi and Ayu ask on the way to You show.
"That's right... In order to qualify, you need to have at least 50 matches with 60% win rate..." Yuya confirms.
"What's your current record?" Ayu asks.
"46 matches with 26 wins..." Yuya says.
"So that's... 26 divided by 46... 56.5%, it's not enough." Tatsuya says after doing the math.
"But you still have four matches until 50 right? If you win all of them, you'll have 30 wins, putting you at 60% ratio right?" Tatsuya asks.
"That's right, but... we searched around for those last four... but..." Yuzu says as she explains that nobody wanted to duel Yuya because she beat Strong Ishijima, which they think gets her a free pass to the championship.
"I didn't get a free pass at all! That was just an exhibition match, everyone's getting the wrong idea I don't even have pro qualifications yet!" Yuya yells.
"In order to be a pro, you have to win the Junior Youth Championship. then pass the Youth Exam and win the Youth Championship... and then you have to pass the Pro Test right?" Tatsuya, Futoshi and Ayu say.
"And to think that I can't take that important first step forward...! Dammit! If it's come to this, I'll just find four people and duel them!" Yuya yells before looking at her friends and getting an idea.
"That's a no! No way!" Ayu and Futoshi say.
"Why?!" Yuya asks.
"Because we're elementary schoolers we're still in junior class! Junior Youth is for middle schoolers!" Tatsuya explains.
"Then at least you Yuzu!" Yuya says to her last hope.
"I'm saying no to." Yuzu says.
"Why?!" Yuya questions as she loses hope.
"Because I've already qualified. And besides, we've had plenty of practice matches. What's the point of playing now?" Yuzu states.
"Then who else is there?!" Yuya asks panicking.
"How about getting Gongenzaka to help you? It's thanks to the Gongenzaka Dojo that you've gotten most of your matches this past year right?" Yuzu suggests.
"I'm thankful for that... He always has helped me whenever I needed it. Even the fact that I'm aiming to become a pro now is thanks to Gongenzaka. But that's exactly why... I don't want to rely on him anymore! Instead, I want to become someone who Gongenzaka can rely on! With my own strength!" Yuya says.
"With your own strength... You're right!" Yuzu says before she runs off.
"Hey! What're you doing!" Yuya asks her.
"Don't worry about it! I just thought that I want to get stronger too!" Yuzu tells her.
"Stronger...?" Yuya questions.
"Big sis Yuzu? What about Duel School?" Ayu and Tatsuya ask her.
"Tell my dad I won't be going today!" she says as she vanishes from their sight.
"What's up with her?" Yuya asks confused.
"It's because you were only praising Gongenzaka isn't it?" Ayu guesses.
"That's true. You didn't have any words of thanks for big sis Yuzu..." Tatsuya points out.
"You just don't get it, do you, big sis Yuya?" Futoshi chimes in.
"Wha?! of course I'm thankful for her! Just like I am for Gongenzaka... no, even more!" Yuya panickily says.
"You're too late!" Ayu chimes.
At that Yuya freaks out with tears in her eyes, the children snickering at that.
"Way to go Yuya... You hurt her feelings. And acted like you don't even acknowledge her help." Yuya thinks as she mentally facepalms.
"Yuya is trying to change. Now I know I can't stay like this! I have to get stronger! Strong enough to be able to protect You Show Duel School!" Yuzu thinks as she keeps running.
At You Show Duel School Yuya is currently going up the elevator with the children.
"Although I said I wouldn't rely on Gongenzaka... how should I start looking for the other four...?" Yuya inwardly questions.
"Oh, my girl!" Yuya hears as she exits the elevator and before she can react Nico Smiley is in front of her shaking her hand.
"It's been so long since I've seen you!" Nico says.
"You're-" Yuya says recognizing him.
"Nico Smiley!" Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi say, recognizing him as well.
"Why are you here?" Yuya asks.
"He brought your ticket! Congrats, Yuya you can enter the Junior Youth Championship, no strings attached!" Shuzo says excited as he stands up.
"Huh? No strings attached?" Yuya questions.
"That's right, Yuya! Even if it was just an exhibition match, the Maiami Duel Association has allowed you to enter the Junior Youth Championship because of the abilities you displayed when you defeated Strong Ishijima!" Nico explains.
"Wow! Congratulations, big sis Yuya! To think the Duel Associations is giving you permission... gives me shivers!" Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi say.
"Something stinks about this." Yuya thinks while remembering what her schoolmates said when she tried to find someone to duel.
"What's wrong?" Shuzo asks her.
"Well, I'm really graetful, but... I'll pass on that, I'll have to refuse." Yuya says, shocking everyone.
"What?! Why?!" Nico asks.
"It feels kind of unfair, that's all..." Yuya says.
"Non, non! It's not unfair at all! You should be proud that the Association is giving you its approval!" Nico says trying to sway her.
"I feel bad for Ishijima too... Oh yeah, I haven't seen him in a while. How is he doing?" Yuya asks.
"He is no longer the Champion." Nico says with a rather petrified expression, confusing Yuya.
"After losing that match, he forfeit his title, and went overseas to train himself from scratch!" Nico says with tears streaming down his face. The information shell shocking everyone.
"Because of that I am now free... A manager with no Duelist to manage! So, Yuya, how about you aim for the top with me?" Nico exclaims dramatically.
"I'm sorry." Yuya says with a bow, causing Nico to fall forward on his face in an anime way.
"Now I get it, he was betting on the council's approval... to make some money for himself? He's the worst." Tatsuya, Futoshi and Ayu says, unimpressed by Nico's reason.
"That's not it at all!" Nico says as he gets up and grabs Yuya's hand.
"I fell head over heels in love with your talent, Yuya!" Nico explains.
"If you truly feel like that, then I have a request for you..." Yuya says as she gets an idea.
"A request?" Nico questions.
Outside LDS tower Sora is standing around looking at the building.
"I never thought he was Leo Corporation's President... Then that means he's the Professor's son?" Sora mentally questions.
"But man, there are really a lot of guards out... it doesn't look like they'd just let me meet him if I walked up and asked." Sora thinks as he looks at the security.
"Dang it, I really want to fight him." Sora says frustrated before starting to lick his lollipop.
"I knew you'd be here!" he hears a voice and then sees Yuzu walking up to him.
"The reason you haven't been at the Duel School is because you were after Reji Akaba, right?" Yuzu asks him, already knowing she's right.
"Ah no, I'm not after him, I'm just..." Sora tries to argue but
"Just like when you approached Yuya... whenever you get interested in someone, you just go after them!" Yuzu points out.
"That's because he seems really interesting! The way he just slammed out Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Pendulum like that!" Sora admits.
"But he's not someone you can get close to that easily!" Yuzu points out.
"Because he's Leo Corporation's President, right?" Sora asks alreaday knowing the answer.
"Oh, you actually know! Anyways, come with me!" Yuzu says as she grabs his arm and drags him behind her.
"Huh? Hey, wait, where are we going?!" Sora asks.
"Just come with me!" Yuzu answers.
Unbeknownst to them, the masked duelist who fought Sawatari was watching them from an alley.
Meanwhile Masumi, Hokuto and Yaiba stand in front of the crime scene Marco was attacked.
"I heard it happened around here." Masumi says.
"That's about it for the suspicious part." Yaiba says.
"Maybe there's something they don't want to show us." Hokuto comments.
Inside LDS staff are analyzing the location with the section chief. Talon marks all over the walls.
"H-hey Masumi!" Hokuto says as Masumi passes under the caution tape.
"Hey! What are you doing here!" an employe that exits questions them.
"He's got our uniform!" Yaiba points out.
"I-I'm not anyone suspicious! I'm a student of Professor Marco's Fusion Course class at LDS, Masumi Kotsu!" Masumi says as she introduces herself.
"Marco's?" the section chief mutters as he hears her, turning toward the door.
"And you?" the employe asks Yaiba and Hokuto.
"I'm-! Ah sorry... Sir, I'm Yaiba Todo from the Synchro Course." Yaiba says introducing himself.
"And I'm Hokuto Shijima from the Xyz Course, sir." Hokuto says introducing himself.
At that the section chief comes to the door and motions the employe to let him handle this.
"The three of you are students from the school?" the section chief asks.
"Yes, sir!" they all reply.
"I see, and did someone tell you what happened here?" he asks as walks toward them.
"No... we just heard that Professor Marco was attacked by someone... and the LDS Secretariat said we can't see him yet... We want to know what happened to him too!" Masumi states.
"Was he really attacked by someone during a duel?" Yaiba asks.
"I heard the culprit was an Xyz user... I use Xyz as well, so I don't like hearing about people abusing it..." Hokuto says.
"Sorry, but we can't discuss the details about it. We're still investigating ourselves you see." the section chief explains.
"Is he alright? Is Professor Marco okay?" Masumi questions.
"I can't discuss that either, sorry!" the section chief says.
"But you don't have to worry. The top brass of LDS will definitely figure out what happened here." he reassures her as he puts a hand on her shoulder.
"You all should keep on improving your dueling skills... I think that would make Professor Marco the happiest. Got it? If so, leave this to us and hurry back to the school." the section chief says.
"Yes, sir!" Hokuto and Yaiba agree.
"Yes, sir..." Masumi reluctantly agrees.
The section chief enters the building again with the employe from before closing the door behind them.
"Man, the Uniformed Unit is really cool!" Yaiba exclaims.
"That's because they're the super-elite unit who passed the pro test at the top of their class!" Hokuto says.
"I wanna hurry up and wear one of those uniforms myself!" Yaiba says.
"I want to be part of LDS's top team!" Hokuto says.
At that Masumi runs off.
"Now where are you running off to?!" Yaiba asks her.
"You guys can go home! I'm going to check out other places!" Masumi tells them while still running.
"Check, she says..." Hokuto says, left a bit dumbfounded.
"Sheesh, she's really..." Yaiba says, also a bit dumbfounded.
Meanwhile Yuzu brings Sora into a warehouse at the pier.
"Why'd you bring me to a place like this?" Sora asks, as Yuzu closes the door.
"Please! Teach me how to use Fusion Summoning!" Yuzu says as she walks up to him and bows slightly.
"Huh? Here? Why..." Sora asks.
"I want to get stronger! I'm not strong enough as I am right now!" Yuzu says as she looks up, while Sora holds his lollipop in front of him to keep her at distance.
"Umm... are you still upset that you lost to that lady...?" Sora asks.
"Reji Akaba said he gave us the win! I want to become strong enough to protect You Show too! I want to win against Masumi Kotsu!" Yuzu declares with determination.
"That's why-" Yuzu starts before Sora interrupts her.
"You want a Fusion user like me to teach you? Is that it?" Sora asks.
"Yes, so I'm begging you! Teach me!" Yuzu says repeating her request.
"What should I do..." Sora ponders.
"You can't?" Yuzu asks.
"No it's not like I can't, just... Is it really okay? If I taught you then you'd definitely get stronger..." Sora says. Unknown to them the masked duelist is watching and eavesdropping on them from a higher level.
"Then all the better, right? Make me stronger so I don't lose to anyone!" Yuzu says.
"But I just don't know if it's okay..." Sora ponders.
After thinking about it a bit he agrees though.
"All right, well, this is the Fusion card." Sora says as he hands her a copy of the Magic Card.
"This Magic Card allows you to fuse Fusion Materials. This is the bread and butter of Fusion Summoning, got it?" Sora explains.
"Yeah, I do." Yuzu says as she takes the card.
"Ah jeez, I'm really teaching her... being too nice is my only flaw, isn't it..." Sora thinks.
"The Fusion Materials can be on the Field or in my hand, right?" Yuzu asks.
"Huh? Oh! Yeah, that's right." Sora confirms as he regains his focus.
"What's important is that you have all the Fusion Materials for the monster you're summoning! Though, there are some exceptions..." Sora explains.
"When you activate Fusion the materials go to the Graveyard, and the Fusion monster is Summoned from your Extra Deck." Yuzu recalls.
"That's right." Sora says, before noticing they're being watched.
He jumps upward to reach their observer who dodges him, much to his frustration. He then puts on his duel disk as he jumps at his target, chasing him through the warehouse.
"Wha... what the?" Yuzu asks, confused at what is happening.
The masked duelist activates his duel disk while running, before propelling himself of the wall to jump at Sora while the blade of his duel disk activates. Sora jumps at him doing the same. The blades clash like swords sending sparks around. When they land they jump away from each other, and are in position as if ready to duel.
"And just who are you?" Sora questions the masked duelist, who doesn't answer.
"You're not from here are you?" Sora asks.
"Neither are you!" the masked duelist says.
"Ah- You're from before-!" Yuzu says as she recognizes him.
"Huh? Yuzu, you know him?" Sora asks.
"Yeah, when I was with Sawatari before..." Yuzu clarifies.
"Are you behind the incident this time, too?" Yuzu asks the masked man, who remains silent.
"Incident...?" Sora questions.
"Apparently an LDS teacher was attacked." Yuzu explains.
"An LDS...? Oh, that explains why there were so many guards." Sora mutters.
"So... you're the culprit then?" Sora asks the masked man.
"Just who are you...? Was your Duel with Sawatari to save me? Or do you have a grudge against LDS?!" Yuzu asks.
"That's..." the masked man tries to answer but
"So you're the culprit!" a voice interrupts as the door opens.
Looking behind them Sora and Yuzu see Masumi at the door.
"What did you do to Professor Marco?! Answer me!" Masumi yells at the masked man as she walks in.
"What are you doing here?!" Yuzu asks her.
"I thought I might find something if I went to the scene of the first incident... But if you were lurking here all along, you saved me the trouble of searching!" Masumi says as she puts on her duel disk.
"Wait, I'm still talking to him!" Yuzu tries to stop her.
"I've got things to say to him first!" Masumi shouts at her.
"What are you talking about?! And besides, it hasn't been proven that he's the culprit yet!" Yuzu states.
"Once we see whether he uses Xyz or not, we'll know the truth!" Masumi says.
"Xyz...? Oh... is that so?" Sora says as he gets interested.
"I'll find out myself, fight me! Here we go, let's Duel!" Masumi says as she activates her duel disk.
"Hey, cut it out! Give it a rest already!" Yuzu says as she tries to stop her.
"Hey, Yuzu! If you're there answer me!" She hears Yuya's voice from outside.
"Yuya!" Yuzu says as Masumi pushes through her and gets ready to fight.
"Ah, Yuzu! Thank goodness, Principal was worried and send me out to find you!" Yuya says out of breath as she stands at the door.
"What's going on here?!" Yuya asks as she looks up and sees the fight ready to break out.
At that the masked duelist glances at the door, his eyes widen in shock when he sees Yuya.
Before anyone can react he throws something at the ground and a cloud of smoke blocks everyones view. A bright light shines through the smoke at the point the masked man stood and when the smoke clears, he is gone, much to everyones shock.
"Can someone explain to me what just happened?!" Yuya asks, lost as to what she ran into.
Before anyone can answer Masumi rushes out of the warehouse with a furious expression, though Yuya could see faint tears in her eyes.
"Could you finally tell me what's going on? Or at least what you are doing here in the first place?" Yuya asks her friends.
"Oh we were just training." Sora says.
"Training? Here, with Yuzu?" Yuya questions.
"Yeah Yuzu said for sure she'll... Did you want to keep Fusion lessons a secret from Yuya too?" Sora starts explaining before turning to Yuzu.
"Yuzu learning Fusion? So this is for the Junior Youth Championship...?" Yuya asks to see if she got that right, the last part catching Sora's attention.
"Oh, that's right! Yuzu, I found my next four opponents! Well, actually someone found them for me but... Nico Smiley helped me out with it!" Yuya exclaims filled with determination.
"Oh that's good..." Yuzu says, though her mind was still with that duelist.
"Yeah, now all I've got to do is win them all! I'll definitely be fighting in the Junior Youth Championship!" Yuya declares.
"Hey, hey, you've been talking about the Championship, but what is it? Can I participate too?" Sora asks.
"Umm, I don't know... You haven't played 50 matches since coming to Maiami, right? You need at least that many matches with 60% win record to participate..." Yuya explains.
"So I can't?! No! I wanna play in the Championship with Yuya!" Sora exclaims in disapointment.
"Ah, now that you mention it... Even if you don't have enough matches, you can enter if you get six straight wins." Yuya recalls
"Really? Awesome! If I just gotta beat six guys then that's a piece of cake! Can you ask that Nico person to help me get in? Just introduce me to six people!" Sora says as he gets excited.
"S-Sure..." Yuya says, slightly overwhelmed by Sora's enthusiasm.
"I see... Yuzu felt like she needed to get stronger after that duel..." Yuya thinks as she looks at Yuzu with a fond smile.
"I don't want to lose to him either! I don't know what Reji Akaba has seen beyond Pendulums, but... I can too..." Yuya thinks with newfound determination.
"This is the second time... Just who is that guy..." Yuzu thinks as she stares at the sunset.
At night, another masked duelist in a trench coat uses his duel disk to spy on LDS from the roof of a building, but even his goggles can't conceal the hate in his gaze.
