Very impressive duel Dan, Kit but up a good fight and came close to beating you but Jack Atlas's ultimate monster earned you a victory. Still that was just the second duel and I have a feeling the remaining four won't be any easier. That said I am a bit surprised Kit didn't know about being able to use two tuner monsters since XX-Saber Gottoms can technically be summoned that way due to how it's requirements are listed. Still an impressive duel and Kit's declaration that Dan isn't allowed to lose is support, in it's own way. Definitely a great match. As for Sylvio... he's up to something, but then again it'll hopefully be resolved soon, and same with Yuto and Shay though I have a very bad feeling Dan's going to be badly injured by the latter, until you earn his trust Shay doesn't tend to hold back at all. Awesome chapter, looking forward to the update. Oh, and next up is a Pendulum Deck? That's a bit surprising considering how rare Pendulum Cards are at this point... I have a feeling Declan might be behind this to test Dan's abilities?

As for a question of the chapter... I guess something a bit random but well, actually it's a question to someone who hasn't reappeared yet, but Yuri (If you can answer questions) would you ever consider just showing off your skills after absorbing one of your counterparts by playing their deck instead? With how much of a duelist extraordinaire you are I'm sure winning with Phantom Knights, Speedroids, or Performapal/Odd-Eyes would be simple for you right?
Yuri: Don't forget Vendread as well from Yuji here. And while it will be simple as Yuya had been shown to use Yuto's Phantom Knights in the canon story, I prefer to stick with my Predaplants until circumstances deem it necessary. Same with the anime Ultra Polymerization I had.

If he can't answer then I'll just ask Dan if he has any thoughts on the upgraded signer dragons that aren't Stardust Dragon or Red Dragon Archfiend.
Dan: Bloody Rose Dragon, Black-Winged Dragon Assault, or whatever else? Well I haven't seen them yet as I am trying to be kept in the dark until all of that so can't say for certain yet.

Summary: Dan, Zuzu, and Sora made there way towards the last of Sora's duels which is against a student of Melodic Opera Duel School, a unique Duel School that specializes in singing musical acts while also dueling at the same time. Sora takes care of his opponent easily enough but just when they were about to leave to try catching Yuya's next duel, someone from the Duel School had challenged Dan. Ricardo Rovera, is the name, and not only is the biggest musical sensation of the school, he also has a Deck that does something that they didn't think of having.
Now we are onto one of the new additions of the remastered version of this fic! Taking place of the duel with De Silva will be a new opponent using a Pendulum Deck. Ever since I seen A Date with Fate with Sora's opponent dueling while singing, I love the idea so much. Only done it one time in a fic I done with Ulrich probably cause how hard it is for lyrics. Hope you guys will enjoy this, I know I will thanks to this.

It was early morning where Yuya, Dan, and Yoko were enjoying a simple breakfast together. Just pancakes like how Yoko fixes them alongside orange juice. Today is a busy day for them where Yuya's next duel is decided. After dealing with Pierre, Yuya settled in to relax for his next match. Plus after two successful quick duels, Dan is on a good lead himself. But things happen while waiting ahead as Yuya had been told by Nico that dueling his previous opponents that he had to be flexible, and that his mind is his greatest weapon to use while dueling to entertain, and surprise the audience like a true Dueltainer should be. Now he is given the task by Nico to surprise him with something original, and well... that can be tough to come up with. His Pendulum Summoning is getting old as it was born a while back, and Declan had some development from how his Deck against Dan is looking.
Like Declan's duel against Dan has him use all the Extra Deck methods alongside Pendulum Summoning which took them all by surprise. He had thought that Pendulum was a skill only he can do but not anymore. And that it looked as though there will be even more around the corner, so he needs to come up with something that can really kick the pants off of everyone. He tried asking Skip for advice but he was more distracted by Zuzu being aware lately which was seeing Sora's duels involving a Japanese Shogun like figure alongside her training with him for something against Julia. Then there was the part where they had seen Dan's duel against Kit in LID, and went out for Ice Cream alongside that part where Sylvio came up.
Then when they left with Dan heading back to Yuya's place to relax, Julia was doing something, and had questioned Sora, and Sora the other day while alone to ask them about some disappearances where the victims are all Leo Students being attacked. Otherside them there was also a teacher that Julia is fond of named Professor Marco, and assumed Zuzu knew about who the culprit was but Zuzu didn't understand until Julia points it out to be the duelist that attacked Sylvio that started the School Duels between LID, and You Show. Zuzu makes it clear she knows nothing despite Julia's objections, and attempts to duel her until Sora taunts LID's Fusion Course which she promised she'll make him regret messing with LID that caught the attention of someone.
It was the masked Shay, who Julia realizes was the culprit who had been attacking the Leo Students, and tried to duel her only for Yuto to step him, and interfere arguing this won't help their cause. While Shay argued that she's with them, Yuto reminded him this isn't their battlefield to fight on, and can't get anyone unrelated involved which Shay argued he will fight this battle to get Lulu back no matter what it takes. And if Yuto will stand in the way, he will be his enemy before Julia calls Kit, and Dipper for back-up that Zuzu brought up asking how she can be sure they are the culprits.
Shay hearing her voice turned, and was stunned seeing her but mistakes her for 'Lulu' before Yuto landed a punch at his gut to restrain him calmly telling his friend she's not who he's thinking of. Knowing they need to get away before all of the Leo Institute's security personnel will find them, Yuto carries Shay to keep them out only to spot the Polymerization card in Zuzu's Deck that she dropped when Shay pushed her out of the way. He tells her that she's not suited for it, which Sora spoke up to prove him wrong, and Zuzu tries breaking it up only for Yuya, Dipper, and Kit to run in which triggered Zuzu's bracelet that transported Yuto, and Shay away before they could confront them.
Zuzu was confused about the mixed of identities, and why people vanish when her bracelet glows when Yuya appears, and helps Zuzu gather her Deck before they all left, and Yuya notices Zuzu's Polymerization that he haven't placed in her Deck, and planned to give it back to her. During the night he also tried figuring how to max out his Pendulum Power but lays down stumped, and frustrated just staring at Zuzu's Polymerization. But he overslept, and quickly changed, and assembled his Deck accidentally adding an extra card into it.
Which brings us to where they are eating breakfast for Yuya to be ready.
"Sorry, I can't see Sora's Duel, Dan I'll be late!"
"It's fine, I'll tell them you wish them luck! Hopefully we make it to your duel in time!" Dan spoke after seeing Yuya quickly finishing his breakfast, and ran off to head to the Duel School that Nico sent him the address of. Said boy sighed from this before looking at Yoko. "He really is scrambling around isn't he Mrs. Sakaki?"
"Yes he is... this is the second duel where he appears distracted by something. First was starving against Reed Pepper, and the next was this." Yoko chuckled just as amused as he was. She then looked to Dan. "So Dan, has Nico found you a Duel yet?"
"No, not yet. I think he is still looking around." Spoke the boy admitted over. That, and managing Yuya's next opponent is why Nico is a bit distracted right now. "I hope I can apply soon though."
"There's not a doubt in my mind you will." Yoko softly smiled towards him. "So who is Sora's opponent?"
"From uh... Melodic Opera Duel School, I think is the name. My guess, is that it's a Duel School that's music themed."
"Well, that would be interesting." Yoko chuckled. "Have you ever gotten involved in music Dan?"
"Uh, let's see... well I do sing... but kinda. I sometimes sing songs like Black Betty, the Joker, Bye Bye Bye, or Don't Stop Me Now." Dan recalled some of the songs he sang during his time back on his world. Among those sounds he really liked singing Bye Bye Bye, and Don't Stop Me Now. They are so catchy, and sound really invigorating. There are other things like The Bird is a Word which he doesn't really like as it continuously spouts the same lyrics over, and over again. Then again probably Peter Griffin is to blame for that...
"Sounds like the Duel School will be something of your ally."
"I'm not really that good a singer."
"I don't know, you probably are." Yoko softly smiled before she turned over seeing the clock showing 10 minutes before Sora's match can start. Turning back to Dan she informed him about it. "It's almost time for Sora to start his match, you better head over."
"Right!" Dan nodded, finishing his late bite, and got up. He waved to Yoko once at the door. "Sorry I can't help with the dishes, Mrs. Sakaki, and thanks for the meal!" He opens the door, and ran out to try finding Sora, and Zuzu. Yoko stares before she sighs, smiling softly. She knows Dan's type, he doesn't have any parents, and that is sad to live on not knowing the people who brought you into this world. She hopes he can have a happy life with his friends, and family. She is also considering taking him into their family, as he is growing close to Yuya. Maybe she should start thinking about it. Yeah, good idea.

A few minutes later Dan managed to find Sora, and Zuzu arrived at a building. Already they begin to hear music with it looking like the appearance of a play theatre. Making their way inside they see duelists are dueling while carrying on musical acts while the monsters or spells, and traps work in harmony for the acts, and songs being played. Dan looked around feeling in awe from this. He isn't much of a music guy but he likes listening to some catchy tunes every now, and then like listening to Put On Your Sunday Clothes from this play 'Holly Dolly' whenever he is cleaning up stuff.
So seeing this Duel School being musical themed is a surprising part of the world he is in now, and wonders what kind of duel he will see here. As if on cue a man wearing a conductor outfit walked over towards the bowing. "Evening to have you here. One of you must be 'Sora Perse' correct?"
"Yup, that's me. I'm supposed to have a duel here." Sora grinned over popping a lollipop in his mouth.
"Well the opponent is waiting for you right now." the conductor gestured to them to follow him as they walked together. While walking someone noticed Dan with narrowed eyes. He can't help but feel he has something about him that makes him interested. Maybe he should find out soon when he gets a chance.
Arriving at the area they see that the Action Field is already waiting for them with Sora's opponent on the field grinning turning over. Sora smirked, walking, and jumped onto the field to prepare for the duel while Dn, and Zuzu sat together wondering how this would go. Dan knows that this is Sora's final duel so he is interested how this duel will go, and how Sora will adapt to this singing aspect this duel should have with this Duel School's rules. Though he can't help but feel that something is gonna happen... like something will step in when this is over-
Oh crap, has the duel already started?
"~Sorry, but there won't be an encore! My Frightfur Bear's giving you the hook! Go, Pummeling Paw!~"
In front of Sora who is wearing a Takarazuka garb was a pink bear having stitches around him with red eyes, and some tears of cotton with his limbs held by golden scissor like rods alongside it's abdomen opened with a pair of scissors out with red eyes on it on the field readied a paw launching it towards Sora's opponent striking head on. "~Which means all of my Life Points are going...~" He finished with a normal "Bye-Bye." before he had yelled melodically landing on the ground his life points depleted.
"Wow, didn't know Sora had a talent for singing." Dan admitted while Sora, and Zuzu celebrated over it. That was certainly interesting on how that duel went, singing while playing some sort of musical act for your audience while dueling the opponent. He doubts he can be into something like THAT so he's kinda glad he isn't gonna be dueling in a Duel School like this. Now they have to worry about Yuya's own match. Sora, and Zuzu made their way back as they nodded, turning to leave only for the man in the conductor outfit to stop them.
"Excuse me, but I'm afraid you're not done here."
"We're not? But I won my duel."
"Of course, however I'm afraid a Duel Challenge was issued to your friend here." the conductor explained looking over towards Dan.
"Me?" Was the only thing the boy could speak off-guard. He has a Duel Challenge? But why? This Duel School isn't what Nico selected right? So why would a Duel School challenge him?
"Yes, you young man. One of our brightest musical sensations had seen an aura around you, and had decided to challenge you to see." the conductor smiled towards him before then gesturing back. "He will be waiting for you at the Duel Field." He turned walking back to head to his seat after that leaving the confused three there. Dan shouldn't have any opponent here, he wasn't told by Nico about it. So then why is someone challenging him here? Deciding not to dwell on this more they walked back as Zuzu sent a quick text to Yuya that they will be a little later than originally thought.
When Dan made it on the field he looked around for his opponent. But he's not seeing anyone. At least that's what he assumed before smoke started to fill the other side of the stage.
"Ladies, and gentlemen! We have here a second round between You Show, and Melodic Opera! One of our biggest sensations has challenged this young man, Dan Kizami, in a duel for the next spot within the Arc-League! Now let us introduce him to the biggest sensation of the school, the singing wonder, and the extravagant man who will lead broad-way itself, Ricardo Rovera!"
Someone was raised in silhouette while they heard a drumroll. When the smoke starts to clear where a small music beat begins to sound of as the silhouette lights up which is a young man with his back turned moving his body to the beat before turning showing he has bowled orange hair wearing a fancy suit that's blue, and a rose at the left side of his chest, and a rose in his mouth having a grin before he then takes it out tossing it in the air singing. "Ricardo Rovera is here, to d-d-duel..." He spins around before giving a pose, "Be ready for the musical expertise that awaaaaittss!" He bowed over while most of the girls had hearts in their eyes cheering out for him with only Zuzu not affected who blinked alongside Sora, and Dan.
This guy is pretty fancy, and if he is wowing pretty much every girl then that probably means he is a lady's man. Dan is reminded of the lady's man he knows within Yu-Gi-Oh!'s run, Atticus, Jack (if he counts), and probably Alito as well. Also Ricardo looks to be a pretty-boy, the arrogant lady's man type who don't show true skill in dueling just caring for impressing the ladies. They are also really arrogant because of how rich they are always thinking they are better than everyone else. You love to hate them...
"Thank you, thank you. That was only a starting performance." Ricardo bowed as he waved a handkerchief around with a smile towards the cheering audience, mostly the girls before he pockets it in his breast pocket. Then he turned over towards Dan with a grin. "I am glad you accepted my challenge."
"Well actually about that." Dan spoke over towards him. He wants to know why he has this Duel Challenge by someone other than Nico, and Ricardo is who he can ask at this point. "Why did you send me this challenge? I mean, my Duel School already had a match with one of your classmates so why?"
"I suppose that would be a fair question to ask." Shrugging his shoulders Ricardo begins to speak about this. "See young man it's like this, I can feel something from you. Something that speaks in the air about you being important." Dan blinked from this. Something important about him? How was this guy able to tell? "And I know from that glance, I do need to see it for myself. So that's why I decided to send that duel challenge to you. To test you out against what I can do, to see if you are as important as I feel."
So he can feel like Dan is important for some reason, and wants to duel him to see what he can do, basically. Well Dan might've misjudged this guy with his pretty boy like appearance, and attitude towards the ladies, he seems to be a pretty decent guy. Of course it could be an act, or something, he doesn't know. Well at least he doesn't have to week a few days for this, and can get a duel now for his third duel in a row for him to attend the Arc-League. So Dan nodded over towards him grinning.
"The selected Action Field for this Action Duel is..." the conductor searched over which field would be suitable for this match up. Then he smiled while pressing the button. "Here we are! Opera Palace!" The spell appeared where they appeared in the Action Field that Sora, and his opponent dueled on earlier while Dan looked around recalling this location. It really makes it look like they are going to be part of a Duel Monsters play singing duet which is... weird to say the least. Well this will be a new experience for them.

"~Kicking the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!~" Zuzu added over with a smile.
"~They storm through this field!~" Sora also followed through with a grin despite Dan's confused gaze.
"~Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling!~" the conductor himself added to keep going on.
"~ACTION DUEL!~" Ricardo started which Dan quickly joined on the Duel part still really confused while the Action Card sphere broke apart around the field to start the Action Duel.

"...What was that?"
"What was what?" Ricardo before he can take the first turn stopped hearing Dan asking him something wondering what it was.
"That saying you, and the others were doing."
"You mean you never heard of it? It's the Action Duel Chant."
"This type of dueling has a chant now?" Dan blinked. Then he turned over towards Zuzu, and Sora looked confused with a frown towards them. "How come you two never told me it had that, and said something different before Action Duels begin?" Ricardo blinked, hearing that Dan's classmates had failed to inform him, and not only that but also said something different each time they Action Duel.
"Well uh..." Sora, and Zuzu looked at each other feeling pretty stupid that they never explained this to Dan. He brought up a good point, and why exactly were they saying things differently? Zuzu rubbed her head admitting. "We... forgot."
"Yeah... just forgot... sorry little buddy." Sora also was sheepish looking pretty embarrassed. And who can blame him for it when something that important slips his mind?
Dan sighed before he turned over towards Ricardo. "Well now, Ricardo we should start dueling now."
"Indeed but as per this Duel School's customs we have to sing while we do so." Ricardo spoke over with a grin before he cleared his throat. "~Okay, I begin my turn! Summoning FaSolfachord Fancia to take the stage!~"
Raising up was a short blonde haired girl with blue earrings, and a red hairpiece in her hair with a belly less tank top on with a red suit the same as her tank top connected to her waist as a skirt with a pair of black shorts. She has on a pair of brown boots with a red bow onto them while she holds what seems like a baton while floating beside her is a small girl with the same appearance as her but smaller, and holding an accordion that's made of pale green energy.

FaSolfachord? That's a new Deck. Dan couldn't recall a Deck like that, and doesn't know what it's about but from the looks of it, it fits the music theme aspect that this Duel School is known for. Not only that, he also sees Ricardo's ladies man aspect through this monster being a girl.
"~Now, end the turn in 1, 2, 1 2 3!~" Ricardo made fingers up as he said the numbers. "~Really gonna bump over, and pass the turn along for the next, next turn!~" Ricardo ended his turn simply with just a monster on his field.

"Okay, it's-" Dan almost drew until Ricardo cleared his throat gesturing a hand to him as if reminding him of what he needs to do. Dan blinked before remembering what it was which he cleared his throat. He isn't sure if he can sing all that way but if he needs to duel like this, then he will do so. "~My turn begins with a draw!~" He admits it's weird to be dueling, and singing at the same time. He wonders how Ricardo, or anyone in that matter can do that. Now he has to focus on dueling checking over.
Since that time he had dueled against Yuto he had been getting his Hieratic Deck more prepared from Yuto's advice on him to get better with the Deck. He isn't sure where the cards he wanted to improve his Deck with are from but he will take them anytime of the week cause these can help his Deck. Which is why his hand shows, Dragon Shrine, Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Swing of Memories, Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet, and Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit as his drawn card.
"~~Okay, time for a sensation! While there is only a monster on your field, I can summon, Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit!~" Dan shows the card summoning his selected monster that Tefnuit appears from the Hieratic Seal roaring, spreading its wings.

"~As Seal of the Dragon King is sent to the graveyard, it is a Normal Monster as it's a Gemini, and allows it to have Hieratic Dragon of Eset to the graveyard too!~" He shows another monster card sending it which Ricardo nodded before turning to run around the stage for an Action Card.
Seeing this Dan run to find one while taking his other spell. "~Then I use the memorable, Swing of Memories!~" The spell itself shows a young girl beside a swing set that's connected to a tree while looking out at the sunset.

"So as Dragon Seal is a Normal Monster while in the graveyard, he can not only use Dragon Shrine's effect when he sends a Normal Monster but also use effects that need Normal Monsters like Swing of Memories to revive." Sora spoke seeing this nodding in approval for Dan's moves here.
"Though... he used the Hieratic Deck already, why didn't he use his Red-Eyes?" Zuzu notices that Dan isn't using his Red-Eyes Deck since he had used his Xyz, and Synchro Decks already. She is wondering what kind of other secrets Dan's Fusion Deck had, and was a bit surprised that Dan isn't using it.
"Well... his Fusion Deck had won against me but when he used his other Decks, he probably wanted to try improving on them, and seeing what they can do when he edits them. If you lose a duel, you would want to improve the Deck." Sora suggested that is probably the reason why Dan's Synchro, and Xyz Decks lost to both Declan, and Yuto when he first used them but his Fusion Deck won against Sora. So Dan trying to improve the Decks like that would make total sense, and a chance to show how he uses them now.
"~I Normal Summon, Hieratic Seal of the Dragon King to make him gain his abilities!~" Dan spoke as, Dragon King Seal glowed a bit powering up slightly from being summoned like it's supposed to.

"~Then I activate its ability! I Tribute it to summon a Hieratic from the Deck to summon another from my Deck in Defense!~" Dragon King Seal broke apart transforming into a new dragon which was a second Tefnuit roaring beside its copy.

"~With the power of the thousand cosmos~!" Dan spoke while moving for an Action Card himself. "~Joining here are 2 Hieratic Seals of the Sun Dragon Overlord as both Tefnuits are Tributed!~" Two Hieratic Seals appeared before raising up showing the two seals orbs.

Sora stares over at Dan's Deck feeling that the Deck is sorta an homage or some kind of Deck related to said Egyptian God from their gimmick as seals, and evolving parts from them replacing themselves. He of course knows the Winged Dragon of Ra won't work itself into the Deck although he wonders if it can.
"Is Dan bringing out Neo Photon Dragon at the first turn?" Zuzu was more focused seeing Dan has 3 Level 8s like before, and can summon Neo Photon Dragon at turn one like before.
"~Now we have two other players! Time to bring it down by Overlaying the two Seals!~" Dan raised his arm as the two Seals flew up towards the Overlay Network and Ricardo widened his eyes seeing this. The Overlay Network then exploded forming his selected Xyz Monster.
"~From the brilliant shining of the sun lays the dragon sealed for an eternity that desires to protect the light! Now with the seal broken may it go down to this earth to defend all from the coming forces of darkness! Xyz Summon! Rank 8, Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis!~"
The remains of the Overlay Network were flapped away revealing Heliopolis roaring loud as it flew beside Photon Dragon against the only monster girl who looked nervous seeing the dragons.

Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis: (ORU: 2 - 1)
Heliopolis takes a unit, and called the Hieratic Dragon being Tributed which looks almost a complete copy of Eset with the armor, wings, crest, and body but the difference is that its wings are violet rather than Eset's red, and a different crest on its helmet. It flew up into Heliopolis' core before firing a blast that destroyed Fancia but Ricardo had used his Action Card before anything else. "~Too bad they have no attacking power as with Battle Lock, they are locked!~" The card itself is a colorful sword wrapped in chains while chains appear around Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, and Hieratic Dragon of Nebthet.

Dan looked over to his monsters seeing they can't move to attack. So that was an Action Card version of Threatening Roar. Much more convenient, and easier to get than trying to have the real Threatening Roar on the field if you get lucky enough to grab one. Well he can't attack but he can still use an effect. "~Still can't get enough as Nebthet was Tributed to summon the final Seal of the Dragon Overlord from my hand!~" He shows the card in his hand placing it on the field as it appeared from the seal but chains appeared around it from Battle Lock's effect.

"Looks like Dan is really starting to take the singing part." Sora spoke over hearing how creative Dan is getting to be singing while dueling. Like Dan, he himself found it was a bit weird to duel, and sing at the same time but he got used to it. Although Dan's own voice while singing is something he couldn't match even if he tried.
"Yeah, he has such an amazing, and adorable voice." Zuzu admitted smiling over holding her hands together hearing Dan's voice feeling in love with it. She then blushed turning to Sora who raised an eyebrow to her. Embarrassed, she spoke over to him. "I-I mean, his voice is so amazing that's all!" Sora looked suspicious before sighing, shrugging, and turned back to the Duel, Zuzu too after sighing quietly in relief.
"~Xyz is unexpected but not enough! Draw time to start the count!~" Ricardo draws to ready his turn checking over, and grinned seeing his hand. He had gotten this Deck from someone, and it quickly made him one of the top sensations of this Duel School. He wishes it was Yuya who was dueling him right now but a student who goes there is fine. "~Time for the spell of elegance, Solfachord Elegance!~" A spell showing Fanica, alongside two other girls appeared on the field looking to be standing where a vine-like circle is around them like a mirror.

"What!?" Zuzu yelled as she, and Sora stood up shocked while Dan himself widened his eyes.
A Pendulum Deck!? But how- the only ones who use Pendulum are Yuya, and Declan, and while LID is developing Pendulum Cards, they didn't think the perfected models of those cards are already done. But why does someone from a rival Duel School have a Deck of them? Probably more importantly, what kind of Deck is it? They are about to find out in this duel here.
"~The stage is set for Scale 3, LaSolfachord Angelia, and Scale 8, DoSolfachord Cutia!~" Ricardo places down the cards which made his Duel Disk light Pendulum on it while two girls rose up in between him.
Angelia, who is one of the monsters on Solfachord Elegance was shown as a woman with long pink hair wearing a large yellow dress with a white sleeveless/shoulderless undershirt with a necklace on her neck, and flower hairpins in her hair. She has long yellow gloves reaching to her shoulders with diamonds on the ends alongside a baton in her hand. The bottom of her dress has flower patterns underneath it. A young girl beside her has mostly the same dress with a lighter flower picture on it while playing a yellow energy trumpet in her hands.

She also has on the same white shirt as Angelia's while holding a baton with what looks like a donut that has been bitten off of, and blue eyes. With her is a younger version of her playing a harmonica.

"~Onto the field comes the monsters befitting performance! Now to start this P-P-P-P-Pendulum Summon! Take the musical field, my monsteeerrrssss!~" The two monsters opened the Pendulum Portal as three lights exit out forming onto the field.
"~Emerge to the grand play, and show everyone your best performance! May the crowd dazzle at the beauty! Pendulum Summon! Ready to sing, TiSolfachord Beautia!~"
The card he added to his Extra Deck with Elegance's effect was an older young woman having long blue hair curled together lowered down in a light blue/white dress with musical notes on it while holding a baton like sword with its scabbard on her waist. She has a blue undershirt with a white sash across her shoulders with a dark blue bow on the back of her head, and a blue collar with earrings of teardrops. Beside her was a baby wrapped in a blanket the same color as her dress playing a soft green harp.

She also has black puffs on her upper arms that have gray sleeves down to black hands on her black gloves. With her is a younger version of herself readying a purple energy Saxophone.

Dragon Seal is the only monster all three of them can defeat... though given it's a Pendulum Deck, I shouldn't think it's easy.' Dan gives some thought over being careful of what Ricardo is up to with all three of those monsters on the field. His dragons have the advantage in terms of ATK but anything could happen as he remembers the kind of effects Yuya managed to work with his first Pendulum Summon that had dropped a 5000 ATK Battleguard King to a 500 ATK monster.
"~Gracia likes to make some performances last! Gracia adds the next part of the script to my hand from my Deck!~" Ricardo takes the ejected card out of his Deck which is a different spell adding it to his hand while he takes an Action Card to his hand. Then he gestures his hand over to Fancia. "~Fanica meanwhile fancies more cast members for a performance of a life-time as she adds a Solfachord to my Extra Deck from my Deck!~" He shows a card before placing it in his Extra Deck before taking the card he added, and activating it. "~Now the script in question, Solfachord Scale!~"
Cutia, and another Solfachord was on the card's artwork with their younger forms seeming to be practicing some solos.

It was the same woman on Scale that wore a large baggy black dress with a conductor stick like wand with white frills on her chest, and short pink hair with a light blue hair tie. She has a black bow on the back of her head with black sleeves on her arms disconnected from her dress sleeves, and a black sash around her waist. Her younger version has the same appearance while having a green energy violin playing.

'Four of them now...' Dan thought seeing how serious Ricardo is going onto this. He wonders what all the extra monsters are about, and he still has an Action Card at hand. Based on this, now they can know.
"~Time to battle oh great opponent! First off, we must give Beautia her time to shine!~!" Beautia meditated as her younger self started playing the harp expertly while musical notes appeared around the seal on the field. "~Should your monster leaves the field this turn, it gets banished!~"
Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord: (Banished when leaves the field this turn)
"~FaSolfachord Fancia attacks Hieratic Seal!~" His weakest monster charged in ahead to attack while Dan moved, and grabbed the Action Card. Seeing this Ricardo grinned as Dan attempted to activate it. "~Hold it!~" Dan stopped confused as Ricardo gestured towards Angelia who grinned while her younger self was playing the trumpet. "~As a Solfachord is attacking while there is an odd Pendulum Scale on my field, Angelia stops any Spells or Traps from activating! That includes Action Cards!~"
Dan widened his eyes, turning as Fancia struck home against the seal destroying it. Since Beautia used it's effect on it, Dan grunted, forcing to take the Seal's card, and placed it in his pocket. Ricardo then continued on pointing towards Heliopolis. "~TiSolfchord Beautia will now use it's power of music on Heliopolis!~" Beautia charged in moving her conductor stick that her younger self starts playing the harp more while Sora, Zuzu, and Dan looked confused wondering what he's doing. Ricardo soon grinned as Heliopois is surrounded by music notes that begin to attack him that it roared over. "~As Beautia is attacking a monster with higher ATK than the lowest Pendulum Scale on my field times 300, it's destroyed!~"
"What? How does that work?"
Zuzu looked worried as she explained to Sora. "What he means is that if Beautia attacks a monster, Ricardo does a math problem with the monster with the lowest Pendulum Scale in his Pendulum Zone which is Scale 1, DoSolfachord Coolia. 300 times 1 is 300 so if the monster it's attacking has higher attack points then the result it's automatically destroyed."
"Huh, but wait, that isn't fair, that's every monster Dan will summon from now on!" Sora argued, turning back as the notes ultimately destroyed Heliopolis easily while Dan stepped back grunting before turning back over.
Well this is a great spot to be into... he can't use Action Cards to protect his monsters, then next a card on his field will be banished if they leave the field... What else does Ricardo have on his field to give him a hard time? Well all he has left is Galaxy-Eyes, and as long as he has that he will be alright hopefully. Still his hand is empty otherside the Action Card, Evasion, so he needs to be careful over what to do here. But with all of this he should be fine now right? He sees Ricardo taking another Action Card, and frowns upon seeing it. Probably not a card he needed right now.
Taking one of the cards in his hand he sets it on his field. "~For the end of this chapter, I set a card, and activate Angelia's ability! I sacrifice a monster on my field for a magician to take her place 2 levels higher or above! I sacrifice Gracia to summon MiSolfachord Eliteia!~"
Gracia morphed down into a young girl with short curly dark blue hair with a light blue bow on the back of her head with gold decorations on it. She has blue sparkled eyes as well wearing a light blue, and white dress with the same music notes on the bottom. It also has some snowflake patterns on it as well. She also has a robe that's blue with flower designs on it. Her younger self is wearing the same robe while playing what looks like a Cello.

"~And that ends this performance~!" Ricardo bowed with his turn done for now. Well good thing because from all the things he is doing, it is getting more difficult for Dan to manage how to face this. The other good thing is that he had nothing to beat Galaxy-Eyes but he needs to find a way to break through this before Ricardo can manage to break through that as well, and win against him.

'Okay... strong monsters? Check. Effects that hinder me? Check. Lone monster on my field? Check. That Deck is good, real good...' Dan thinks in his mind while he wipes his mouth to focus. He turned back towards his own Deck after that knowing that he had something in his Deck that could help. He hopes he does cause this looks to be really precarious. Still he believes in his Deck against whatever this is. He only has this Action Card that he can't use as long as Angelia is on the field. So now he has to believe to have a chance. "~3, 2, 1, drawing time~!"
Dan drew checking, and smiled seeing it was, Hieratic Dragon of Sutekh. While he draws Ricardo raised an arm. "~Angelia performs her best solo on Galaxy-Eyes!~" Angelia has her younger self play the trumpet that starts having musical notes around Galaxy-Eyes to know when it leaves the field, it will be banished.
Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon: (Banished when leaves the field this turn)
"Now Galaxy-Eyes will be banished when it leaves the field..." Zuzu spoke worriedly, holding her mouth watching the duel while Sora frowned.
Dan however grinned, raising up his drawn card. "~Here is a surprise cast member!~" The card glowed bright which takes them all off guard before seeing the cards of Dragon Seal, and the two Hieratic Seals appear in front of Dan before vanishing which shows they have been banished. "~By switching the cast of three Hieratics in the graveyard, I can summon a new cast member!~" He places down the card as the Hieratic Seal appeared that started forming the monster. "~Come to the stage, Hieratic Dragon of Sutekh!~"
Appearing was what seemed like a large golden like dragon wearing the same armor only in certain places like shoulders, chest, and tail as the other Hieratics alongside the Hieratic Crest on its chest plate armor alongside having black talons. It roared upon being summoned on the field.

"Did Dan banish the rest of his Normal Monsters?" Sora realized how Dan summoned this dragon, he banished the rest of the Normal Monsters he had left to summon this card. They had quickly realized that the Hieratics depend on Normal Monsters to work, and since Dan just got rid of them all, he doesn't have any monsters to make his Deck work right like how it's intended. He hopes Dan knows what he is doing.
"~Sutekh likes to get rid of unwanted cast members! By banishing Tefnuit from the graveyard, he can let out a solo of his own by destroying a card on the field!~" Sutekh readied over a large golden orb blasting it over that struck on Cutia in Ricardo's Pendulum Zone. He can take out one of the monsters Ricardo has now, but he needs to take care of Ricardo's ability to Pendulum Summon, and getting rid of that will allow Dan to have an advantage if Ricardo can't summon them again. And he could use the effect on Coolia but he has a plan that depends on Beautia's effect. With that done Dan sets his Action Card so he can grab another one for this battle pointing ahead. "~Time to make time to battle ahead! Galaxy-Eyes attacks Angelia!~"
His large dragon charged a blast moving in before blasting over at Angelia. Ricardo raised an arm to defend against this attack. "~Fancia lets out musical solos to defend the bigger stars! The backlash of the attack blew over towards Ricardo who grunted from the attack reaching him. (Ricardo: 3300/Hand: 2 (Action Card)) He had depended on Eliteia to defend him from the battle damage but Dan had gotten rid of that as with Cutia gone he has no Even Pendulum Scale to have the effect to apply. Dan moved seeing an Action Card riding down the rails like he would with a skateboard only no skateboard involved. Taking it he activates it showing a smiling face with some stars, and a wink. "~There is an encore play! Angelia only prevents me when a Solfachord attacks which means now is the chance I needed! Wonder Chance gives it that!~"

"~So Galaxy-Eyes can give another shot!~" Galaxy-Eyes roared moving in while Ricardo grunted from this looking at his Action Card. He still can't use this Action Card here which means he's gonna get hit with some barrages here. "~Go, Photon Stream of Destruction!~" Galaxy-Eyes charged a second blast, firing it over, and striking against Angelia who yelled out shattering, destroyed by the attack while Ricardo stepped back. (Ricardo: 2600/Hand: 2 (Action Card)) "~Now Sutekh takes us down to the river below with Hieratic Sealing!~" Sutekh charged up a blast of its own roaring charging up. Once charged Suketh blasted over which struck Eliteia destroying her too leaving Ricardo with Beautia on his field, and Coolia in his Pendulum Zone. He didn't take damage as Eliteia is in Defense Position at least.
"Alright, little buddy managed to work things around!" Sora admitted he was scared just a sec for Dan but seeing this had reignited his support for Dan, and is glad that he had the right moves on hand to hinder Ricardo but also weaken his field for a bit.
"But still Beautia is in the end with her special ability. Why didn't Dan use that effect to destroy the Scale 1?" Zuzu spoke wondering why Dan hadn't done that as it could allow him to destroy Beautia.
"Probably because lower scale cards are easier to have than higher scales?" Sora guessed why with a shrug, not sure himself. They turned back towards the duel where Dan had settled up with a grin.
"~You put on a grand performance but that isn't enough to win this match.~"
"~No but I have another act on!~" Ricardo blinked from this as Dan raised an arm with a large grin. "~By going to Main Phase 2, we go onto our next act! Level 8 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon will overlay with Level 8 Hieratic Dragon of Sutekh!~" The two turned to golden light flying towards the Overlay Network. A sword appeared on the ground near Dan that he took before with a large yell threw up into the Overlay Network where it broke apart transforming into the monster.

An orange 62 appeared as a form materialized on the field. It was Photon Dragon only it's in a different new form looking larger, and more powerful with it equipped with large blue biological armor around it's form with giant wings spewing light with a orange 62 on it's left wing. It also has 2 tails with spear points on them, and yellow diamonds around its form roaring above accompanied with two Overlay Units.

Sora meanwhile was staring at the dragon in shock as his lollipop dropped out of his mouth. Not so much cause it's a powerful Xyz Monster, or that it looks beautiful (which it kinda is) but cause of what it is.
...A Number.
'But-But... the Number Xyz Monsters are exclusive to the Xyz Dimension! How did Dan get one of those!?' was his thought trying to find a reason how Dan has one of them. First was Dan Fusion Summoning like a pro, then he can Synchro Summon a monster with 2 Tuners, and now this; having an effin' Number!? There are SO many questions he wants to ask Dan now. But he needs to keep appearances, and maybe he can report to the Professor on this development.
"~So Galaxy-Eyes evolves to its greatest splendor!~!" Ricardo, despite being shocked, kept up the show by singing more.
Dan grinned. But since his Battle Phase is over, he can't do much else here now. He would summon Prime Photon Dragon earlier but he had 2 strong monsters so he needed to take care of some of Ricardo's monsters before that. Now with Prime Photon Dragon he is ready for what's next. "~Turn ends in 3, 2, 3 2 1!~"

"~1, 2, 3! Pendulum Summon! Come back my monsters!~" Ricardo spread his arms as four lights shone down which showed Fancia, Eliteia, Angelia, and Gracia back onto the field without trouble. Alongside Beautia, they are already in Attack Position.

Add 1 musician to Extra Deck!~" Fancia played the accordion as Ricardo added a card to his Extra Deck before then Ricardo activated his added card which is a second Solfachord Scale. "~Then I use Solfachord Scale to return Dreamia to the hand, and place Cuita back on the field!~" Dreamia waved with a grin before vanishing allowing Cutia to be placed back onto the field.

So his scale is back to normal... Hardly managed to do anything to stop his Scale only slightly hindering him. And now he has 5 powerful monsters on the field that can really do a lot against Dan when they battle. So Dan better be prepared he only has one shot, and to last in the duel he needs to time this right.
"~Now Beautia's effect activates! If your dragon leaves the field this turn, it's banished!~" Beautia's younger form starts playing music as the notes appear around the giant Xyz Monster.

"~Battle! Solfachord Beautia attacks Prime Photon Dragon!~" Beautica charged energy as musical notes around Prime Photon Dragon. As it's ATK is 4000 which is WAY higher than the math problem in question (300 * 1 = 300) then, Prime Photon Dragon will be destroyed. It roared loud as the musical notes collided all around it destroying it hard, and instantly while Dan raised an arm. On top of that it's also banished as well. Okay, things are going to plan... Now he has to wait 3 more turns.
"~Now fellow Solfachords time to lower the curtains!~" All four of the other Solfachords started to charge magic as they all blasted over towards Dan who starred determined as the attacks struck, triggering a large smoke cloud.
"No way, Dan..."
"Lose?"
While Sora, and Zuzu are contemplating this Ricardo turns to the crowd bowing over. "I hope everyone enjoys the grand show! Quite a spectacle, and he fought well but even he couldn't handle the curtains closing-"
"Hold on Ricardo!" The conductor man spoke over which Ricardo turned over confused towards him. "Look over."
Ricardo turns over seeing Dan is gone but he is on the railing of the palace his arms spread with a large smile before he grinned cheekily at Ricardo blinking over. "Gotcha! This duel isn't over yet!" (Dan: 4000/Hand: 0)
"What!?" Ricardo widens his eyes, breaking Duel School protocol from seeing Dan's life points weren't damaged.
"It's thanks to this." Dan reveals a card activated beside him. It was the Action Card he set that shows a silhouette of a woman jumping out of a heavily locked chest.

"No but I activated it in response to an effect that activated right before your monsters attacked." Dan explained. He is well within the rules, and this is the timing he had been waiting for just waiting for it. "Prime Photon Dragon has an effect when it's destroyed. When it's destroyed by your effect while it has Galaxy-Eyes as an Overlay Unit, when it's my second Standby Phase, I can re-summon it back from the graveyard or if it's banished but with twice the attack points!"
"So then... 8000 attack points!?" Zuzu gasped at how strong Dan's Xyz Monster will be if it comes back. Although this strategy is risky, because Dan needs to last 2 more turns, and against the kind of potential that Ricardo's monsters have that can be difficult.
"Well... not bad but Eliteia blocks all damage I take from battle as long as there is an Even Pendulum Scale in my Pendulum Zone. So even if you summon it back, it won't do anything!" Ricardo spoke as Eliteia smiled waving over. "To get to me, you need to get pass Eliteia first, and it won't work!"

Ricardo thought over before being ready for this turn. "~My turn!~" Ricardo drew, not checking his drawn card before pointing ahead. "~Battle! Beautia attacks Galaxy-Eyes!~" Beautia charged energy as the musical notes float around Galaxy-Eyes to destroy him. "~Beautia's effect activates! It destroys the monster it's battling!~" The musical notes around charged in attacking all over Galaxy-Eyes as it roared loud being hit by each of the notes. But it formed a shield that defended it as Ricardo grunted seeing a card slipping out of Dan's graveyard.
"~Return of the Dragon Lords has a second effect! I can banish it to keep a dragon from getting destroyed!~"
"Dammit..." Ricardo grunted over viewing his hand of Dreamia, a second Gracia, and his Action Card which was Burning Barrel. Burning Barrel can't be used as no monster on the field is being destroyed in battle. The guy who gave him this Deck sure doesn't know what he's doing to supply him with cards that can assist against this kind of thing. Galaxy-Eyes attacked at Beautia which didn't destroy her from Fancia taking the hit instead, and Eliteia kept Ricardo from getting damaged. He raised his arm. "~Pendulum Summon! Come back Fancia!~" Fancia shot from the portal on the field to defend.

"So it really can come back with 8000 points." This is reminding Sora of someone who can summon a monster with 8000 attack points. Although unlike this one, the person he is thinking of can summon it with a spell card the moment it's summoned for the first time. He isn't sure what it could result in if those two monsters fight each other although he is sure the person he is thinking of can easily take it. I mean, he is the Hell Kaiser after all...
"But there is still Eliteia on the field that can stop all damage. How can Dan break through that?" Zuzu said that the monster is still a big problem. Even if both powerful monsters are there they won't deal any damage due to both it, and Fancia in the way. If Dan can get rid of her first before attacking...
And that's precisely what Dan has in mind. "~Now here is the final battle phase! Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon attacks Eliteia!~" Eliteia looked over afraid as the giant dragon charged in towards her. Fancia looked over moving to defend Eliteia with Ricardo readies himself to use Fancia's effect. But Dan had a different objective in mind. "~Now Photon Dragon use your special ability! When it battles a monster, at the start of the battle both monsters are banished! Photon Escape!~"
Galaxy-Eyes with Eliteia vanished off the field while Fancia widened her eyes looking around to look for them while everyone widened their eyes seeing that. Galaxy-Eyes had an effect to banish itself, and a monster that battles it? This would mean that nothing would defeat it in a one-on-one battle if it'll save itself each time. Not only that as the effect doesn't involve battle destruction Fancia's effect can't defend Eliteia, and with Eliteia gone...
"Dan can damage him now!" Zuzu spoke with a large smile, seeing that thanks to the original form of Prime Photon Dragon, Dan has a clear road now.
"~Now Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon attacks Angelia! Due to its effect, any damage you take is halved as Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon isn't an Overlay Unit!~" Even if the damage is halved, it's still more than enough to win the duel as Ricardo stepped back shocked seeing the attack against Angelia. "~Prime Photon Stream of Destruction!~" Prime Photon Dragon charged its large attack blasting over at Angelia as she yelled out enveloped by the attack as Ricardo watched before screaming out landing on the ground defeated.

Silence overtook as the entire Action Field vanished. Dan stared over before he grinned, raising an arm to the air. "Yeah, I owned the zone!"
Ricardo slowly sits up looking at the Deck that he had. He had challenged Dan with this Deck, and he had lost with it. Each turn was filled with victory but he survived each one of those attempts, and outsmarted him on several occasions. And when he thinks he got it, Dan manages to break through. Then this could mean Dan is important for a later cause... He gets up walking to Dan who is bowing to the audience before noticing him. They stare at each other for a few seconds before Ricardo gives a bow.
"I wish you congratulations on your victory, Dan Kizami." Ricardo spoke with a smile towards him. He raised up looking at him. "Seems like my assumption was correct. You are important."
"Well yeah, that was a pretty fun duel, and you would've had me, if I didn't have Big Escape, or Prime Photon Dragon at that moment." Dan admitted with a shrug with a smile of his own. Then he asked the question plaguing his mind. "Though Ricardo?" Said boy listened to his question. "Where did you get your Deck? Pendulum is supposed to be something Yuya has, and Declan has it himself."
"Yeah, I suppose I can give you an answer." Ricardo spoke with a shrug before he looked at his Deck. "The Solfachords... they were given to me."
"By the Leo Institute?" A pretty much well thought of guess as they would give Ricardo the Deck although why...
"Actually no, not by them." Ricardo revealed looking at Dan who blinked surprised. "A man encountered me one evening, and gave me the Deck..."
He proceeded to explain that one evening after Yuya had Pendulum Summoned but before all of the trouble with the Arc-League Qualifications someone had visited Melodic Opera asking for the top student which was Ricardo. Ricardo can't recall the man's face for any reason, and didn't say his name, where he is from, and that he isn't with the Leo Institute but had supplied him with the Deck, the Solfachords. All he had told Ricardo is to test the Deck to the full extent as a trial run to see how it performs against powerful duelists. Ricardo tried asking for more but when he went outside to ask, the man was gone like vanished into thin air. All that was left as proof for him was the Deck within Ricardo's hand.
So Ricardo is doing the task of dueling with the full power that the Solfachords can do, and was shocked it was a Pendulum based Deck but it made him excited that he is able to use Pendulum, and unlike the Leo Institute's prototypes, they are performing flawlessly like Yuya's. He applies, and becomes qualified for the Arc-League thanks to it, and readies for the time it happens but when he spotted Dan a while ago, he had felt something important from him. Like he was meant to use the Deck against Dan.
That last detail surprised Dan, Sora, and Zuzu. Someone not from Leo had brought a Pendulum Deck that works flawlessly, and given it as a test for Dan? But why? There are so many questions that they have far too little answers.
"...And that's how I got the Deck, and I think it's meant to be used on you." Ricardo finished his story to them. "I'm sorry, I can't tell you anything about that man. But I think he gave me the Deck for that reason. Whoever he is though, I can't say he is from Leo."
All three of them looked at each other from this. They don't have clear answers, and this confuses them. How did a man like that have a Deck of Pendulums, why did they give it to Ricardo, and what did he mean by 'trial run'? All of this is so confusing, and they need some answers over it. Maybe it's someone working against the Leo Institute?
No, that can't be it. Leo has some of the most successful scientists, duelists, and employees, and they can create prototype Pendulum cards to work, and perfect the formula. So it wouldn't make sense if one person can do what they can't, which is create fully operational Pendulum cards without trouble. So who is the man then? If he's not with Leo, or working against them, then who?
While thinking, Sora sees the time on Zuzu's Duel Disk, and widens his eyes. "Holy smokes, we're late!" They turned over confused as he pointed out to them. "Yuya's duel is going on, and we are just standing here for nothing!"
Zuzu, and Dan widen their eyes. Yuya's Duel is going on, and they are wasting time! It might be over at this point so they turned to Ricardo, and bowed, apologizing for leaving so suddenly, and thanking him for the duel quickly running off leaving Ricardo blinking over before he smiled, chuckling slightly. Well that was interesting... Now what should he do now until the Arc-League?
Hey, sometimes duels in real life happen where one player doesn't get damaged the entire time, so why shouldn't it happen for here? As Mage of Hope said, we don't need to have duels happen where one player has low LP when they win. Onto this one, Solfachord was a pretty interesting, and powerful Deck when it was realized, and for a plot point within the future I had replaced De Silva with Ricardo here, and he has the Deck from someone not from the Leo Institute that seemed to have perfected Pendulum before them.
We can perhaps see what man it was in the near future, cause next will be a new chapter separated from the rest of the fic where one mistake I made was not including Yuya, and Aura's duel. I fucking love Aura (not my top favorite character in Arc-V; that spot belongs to Zarc, and Yuto), and I slapped myself seriously when I forgotten to include her duel as Ritual is also a core-focus in this. Well time to fix that with the next chapter, especially since she has new cards a while back including what the Vendreads, and Drytrons can do.
