Dan, do you have any plans for if the Sacred Beasts make appearances?
Dan: Not really, I don't. Though, I guess I should expect them since the Nordic Gods, and Earthbound Immortals do.
Question 2 from Tony Anderson:
Last month, in Japan anyway, the Phantom Knights, Raidraptor and Xyz Dragon archetypes got new support cards in the booster pack Phantom Rage. How do you think Yuto and Shay would feel about this?
Dan: I haven't seen them yet but I can tell their gonna be extra stronger.
And now for part 4, and possibly the final part of Dan vs Sergey. Sorry bout last chapter being a bit rushed but I promise I will make up for it in this chapter here! Let us see what is going on here.
Summary: Sergey had summoned his strongest creature, and Dan's final opponent to free Nick - Earthbound Emperor Talzakin. It's mere presence alone is enough to set off everyone with fear, and doubt along with the strongest kinds of abilities it has with the union of all seven of the Earthbound Immortals. But from Dan's efforts he is able to break Roget's hold over Sergey, and is now determined to finish off Talzakin, and set Sergey free once, and for all!

Previously on Ascension of the Dragons:
"Dan only defeated two of the seven monsters he has to clear out to free Nick. If he isn't careful Sergey would crush him." Declan reminded to the Lancers of the obstacle Dan has to take over.
"Come forth! Level 10! Earthbound Immortal Cusillu!" Sergey called as the monkey appeared growling.
"Activate Detour!" Dan called to the shocked crowd getting past Sergey, "It negates Chacu Challhua's ability, and you take 500 points of damage!"
"Impossible! No-one could match Sergey's speed the way he is now!" Roget protested seeing Dan broke through, "No-one!"
Aslla Piscu was destroyed by Darkrage as Sergey grunted, "Aslla Piscu's ability activates! All monsters on your field are destroyed, and you lose 800 points!"
"Come forth! Level 10! Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua!"
Ccarayhua appeared growling only to be destroyed by Abyss as Sergey then called, "Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca!"
Wiraqocha Rasca rose up cawing only for Sergey to destroy both it, and Abyss to be destroyed by Sergey's Dark Hole as they looked on wondering what Sergey has planned as he stared at Earthbound Longings.

"Welcome again everyone. Right now Dan has defeated all seven of Sergey's mega-monsters but it seems Sergey still has something planned." Melissa Trail said staring at Sergey's field, "All he has is Earthbound Longing, and an Action Card."
Sergey was still staring at his Trap Card.

Once per turn, when an "Earthbound" monster, except an "Earthbound Immortal" monster is destroyed: Special Summon 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster from your hand, or Deck. If you control no "Earthbound Immortal" monsters you can banish, "Earthbound" monsters from your GY as Tributes for the Tribute Summon of an "Earthbound Immortal" monster (You can only activate this effect once per turn). If you have 7 "Earthbound Immortal" monsters with different names in your GY, send this card from the field to the GY, and banish those monsters: Special Summon 1 "Earthbound Emperor Talzakin" from your Extra Deck. Sergey soon said to Dan, "Dan..."
"Nick?" Dan asked him hearing that.
"This is your TRUE obstacle!" Sergey told him before declaring, "I activate Earthbound Longings effect! Since I have seven Earthbound Immortals that have different names, by sending this card to the graveyard, I can banish those monsters! Then I can Fusion Summon a new monsters!"
"Fusing all seven Earthbound Immortals!?" Crow asked in shock as Longings shattered while the seven defeated Immortals appeared before entering the Fusion Vortex.
"All Seven Earth Deities who walked this very earth! Join together to form yourselves into the true form to bring havoc, and devastation to all over the Earth! Fusion Summon! Level 12, Earthbound Emperor Talzakin!"
Who rose was a huge fiend humanoid that is dark purple lined, and crimson red eyes growling raising up to be even larger then the Earthbound Immortals themselves.

Ray admitted to him stunned, "It's power is off the charts Dan."
The Lancers, and Signers were all stunned seeing it as Jack stand up in shock seeing Talzakin. Meanwhile Roget was laughing manically seeing Talzakin, "Yes Sergey! Crush him! Murder him!"
"Talzakin's ability! This card's attack, and defense points becomes equal to the combined attack points of all 7 of the Earthbound Immortals!" Sergey revealed as Talzakin gained great power.
Earthbound Emperor Talzakin: (ATK: ? + 3000 + 3000 + 2900 + 2800 + 2800 + 2600 + 100 = 17100/DEF: 3000 + 2500 + 2400 + 2400 + 1800 + 2500 + 100 = 14700)
"O-Over 17,000?" Dan asked in shock seeing that.
"That's WAY more then enough attack power to finish Dan off!" Sora cried in shock.
Allie tried to say something, "B-But he has Spirit Barrier..."
"It won't work." Yuto grunted to them, "Spirit Barrier only works if Dan has a monster on the field. But since he doesn't then Spirit Barrier can't block any battle damage."
Tate cried, "Then Dan's got ta get an Action Card!"
"And now I activate another of Talzakin's abilities! Once per turn, I can summon 1 Earthbound from my graveyard! Revive, Earthbound Servant Geo Grasha!" Sergey called as Geo Grasha rose up roaring.

"Geo Grasha again!?" Quattro asked seeing that grunting.
"Geo Grasha gains 500 attack points for each Earthbound on my field!" Sergey called as Geo Grasha roared. (ATK: 3000 + (500 * 2) = 4000) "And now Talzakin attack Dan directly!"
Talzakin at that rose op charging an attack at Dan who quickly looked around finding an Action Card grabbing it, "I activate Evasion! This negates your attack!"

"I activate Talzakin's other ability! Once per turn, while there is a card in the Field Zone when you activate a Spell or Trap Card by discarding that same kind of card your card's activation is negated!" Sergey revealed discarding the Action Card he was keeping as Talzakin stopped Evasion as Sergey added, "In addition your Life Points are cut in half!"
Talzakin fired a ray blast as Dan cried out. (Dan: 0100)
"Oh no Dan!" Zuzu cried seeing that as Dan was stunned as Talzalkin neared.
Quickly shaking off Dan reach for an Action Card, "Then I activate Damage Banish!"

"This nullifies are damage that I would take from this attack!" Dan called as Talzakin's attack did no good.
Sergey told him, "The turn that I used Talzakin's abilities all other monsters on my field cannot attack."
"Okay that's good for Dan." Yuya said hearing that, "Geo Grasha can't attack so Dan has a chance to turn things around!"
"But what are the odds of him managing to have a monster strong enough to destroy Talzakin?" Declan asked him which made Yuya stop to think hearing that.
He does have a point. Dan's monsters don't stand a chance against attack points that high, and who knows what else Talzakin can do. Plus Sergey can stop any of Dan's cards that activate, and halve his Life Points which serves as a big blow since it not only disrupts Dan's strategies but also gives him a big drop of LP as halving Life Points serves as a powerful engines in Duel Monsters. Not to mention reviving an Earthbound Monster in the graveyard also serves to make it tougher for their effects to activates, and devastate Dan even further.
"He has a card."
They turned to Riley who said to them, "If he manages to pull it off. Then we won't have to worry about Dan further."
"I hope your right." Crow said as they turned back for Sergey ending his turn.
Dan 5th Turn:
Dan grunted placing a hand on his Deck drawing looking to see it's the card Celina gave him which surprises him as he remembers about Celina giving it to him.
Flashback:
"I think this can help you out."
Celina handed him the card as he asked in shock, "Battle Fusion? Your giving a card like this to me?"
"Yup. I figured it can help bring you good luck against that creep." Celina grinned as he looked up at her in shock, "It helped me out against a lot of situations even against the Chazz as he calls himself so it should help you out as well."
Flashback End...
'I'll make sure I'll put it to good use.' Dan remembered what he said to her when she gave her the card as he smiled, "And I will... I need a Fusion Monster to use this, and I don't yet. It'll come sooner though. I activate Pot of Avarice!"

Dan called shuffling the five monsters as he drew twice looking seeing their Unexpected Dai, and Botanical Girl, and said, "Alright, and now I'll activate Unexpected Dai!"

"Ancient Pixie Dragon." Luna said seeing Dan's version of her Ancient Fairy Dragon.
Dan called, "And now I activate Pixie Dragon's Special Ability! I desatroy 1 monster that's in attack mode! I destroy Talzakin!"
Pixie Dragon fired an attack at Talzakin as it struck making a huge smoke screen while the road behind Sergey starts collapsing before it broke enough for Sergey to start falling as he screamed while Melissa Trail cried, "Ah! Sergey's not gonna make it!"
They all gasped in shock before something grabbed Sergey's mechanical arm as he looked to see Ancient Pixie Dragon had his arm in her jaw raising up as Dan asked him, "Nick ya okay?"
"Whoa! Dan used his dragon to pull off a heart-tumping midair rescue!" Melissa Trail cried seeing this,
Dan smiled to Nick, "I am looking forward to see a Duel till the end. No way that anything can stop that from happening, and I still have a promise to keep."
'Does not compete! Dan is enemy! Enemy should not help enemy! System overload!' Sergey thought holding his head as his vision registers 'Error' before he sighed, "I'm free..."
Ancient Pixie Dragon placed him back on the track as Gong shed a tear by Dan's heroic deed, "It's moments like these that made Gong proud to be a Duelist."
Soon the audience all cheered at this as Melissa Trail was also proud announcing, "That was an impressive save all right, but Dan's still weakened, and is now pulling from the rear! He better giddy-up quick folks 'cause there's an Action Card dead ahead with Sergey's name written all over it!"
Sergey did not take the Action Card shocking everyone as Roget yelled, "Sergey!"
Sergey rise up showing he has a small saying, "And now... Dan thank you, and come at me with everything in your arsenal!"
Hearing that Dan smiled to him, "I will Nick."
The smoke cleared showing Talzakin survived as Sergey or Nick now called, "Talzakin is unaffected by your effects when Fusion Summoned!"
"Well that's just great! Only destruction by battle can Dan manage to harm that thing." Sylvio grunted at that.
Shay however mentioned, "Maybe but I wouldn't think much. Sergey's acting different."
"Then... Dan must've freed him from Roget when he saved him!" Zuzu realized as they all looked.
Dan told Nick, "Okay Nick, next turn, I will finish things up. I end my turn."

Nick: 1900
Nick 6th Turn:
"And now my turn!" Nick called drawing but not looking at his card, "And now Talzakin attack Ancient Pixie Dragon!"
Talzakin attacked Pixie Dragon as Dan grabbed the Action Card he ignored being destroyed as Nick added, "And Geo Grasha!"
Geo Grasha charged an attack as Dan used the Action Card, "I activate Encore!"

"So now I copy Evasion's effect!" Dan called as they approach an Action Card.
"Get back to the plan! Pick up the next Action Card to use Talzakin to stop Encore! Do it or else!" Roget yelled but was ignored as they passed that card, "SERGEY!"
"I end my turn! Finish this Dan!" Nick called to him.
Dan 6th Turn:
"Alright draw!" Dan called drawing looking, and smiled, "A fitting card. I activate Change of Heart!"

"So now Grasha goes to me!" Dan called as Grasha roared flying to Dan's side of the field, "So now, this Earthbound is gonna become my partner to save you from Talzakin!"

Dan called, "And now for the big finish! Geo Grasha attack Earthbound Emperor Talzakin!"
Shocked everyone watched as Geo Grasha charged an attack at Talzakin as Melissa Trail announced, "Well now look at this! Dan is gonna throw a suicidal attack!"
"Not really. Cause it's thanks to a friend of mine have given this to me before she was taken!" Dan called, "I activate Battle Fusion!"

Quick-Play Spell Card
When an attack is declared involving a Fusion Monster you control and an opponent's monster: That monster you control gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster, until the end of the Damage Step. You can only activate 1 "Battle Fusion" per turn.
"So now Geo Grasha gains Talzakin's attack points!" Dan called as Grasha absorbed the power from Talzakin. (ATK: 3500 + 17100 = 20600)
Seeing Grasha in a purifying aura against Talzakin made Nick shed a tear saying, "Amazing..."
Everyone cheered seeing Dan's victory is now certain as he turned asking him, "You ready?"
"I am always ready! Bring the pain, and free me as you promised!" Nick called to him smiling.
Smiling back Dan said, "Okay here it comes Nick! Grasha finish this!"
Grasha fired a huge blast engulfing Talzakin as it reached Nick who only laughed.
Dan: 0100
Nick: 0000
Dan wins the duel!
Nick's Runner Suit broke down tripping the edge shocking everyone as Dan called, "Grasha!"
Geo Grasha reached to save him only for Nick to use his mechanical arm to smack Grasha's off away, "No! I will control my own fate Dan! Thank you... for saving me, and... reuniting me with my family."
"Nick..." Dan trailed off hearing that.
Nick laughed happily as he fell down crying, "I can now die happy!"
Dan looked on as tears build in his eyes wiping them as Melissa Trail announced, "Well with that Dan now wins the day, and is now the second finalist to be against Yuya Sakaki in the grand show-down!"
The audience, and everyone cheered as Yuya smiled seeing he's against Dan next while saddened Nick chose death but can now be back together with his family after Roget slaughtered them.
Meanwhile...
Nick's charts beeped red as 'Offline' was shown to a shocked Roget who had witnissed everything stammering, "Wha... I..."
He held his head screaming in horror.
"NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!/!/!/!"
And it's now done. Dan vs Sergey or Nick is finally done. I am saddened that Nick is now gone but now he's off to a better place now that he's free from Roget's controls thanks to Dan's efforts. And now with that they can focus on Roget by getting him at the Friendship Cup. Dan vs the origin of Pendulum Summoning himself, that's a match that none of you would want to miss!
