We're back with Ascension here everyone where Noah Kaiba who was thought to have been destroyed has been revived by the same guy that revived Primo to stop the Interdimensional War. Except he plans to end the war his own way by taking over Kaibacorp, and defeat anyone that gets in his way. The Lancers are all gearing up to stop him from doing so starting with Riley, and Dan dueling two Rare Hunters, Strings, and Arkana. Can they succeed? Let's see!
Summary: After encountering Noah Kaiba as the one responsible for their Duel Disks being hacked preventing them from leaving the Ritual Dimension to reunite with their allies they decide to help Noah get out of Kaibacorp's mainframe, and join Yugi, Atem, Kaiba, Mokuba, Chie, and Yuji in the Virtual World to do so while also stopping his intent. Noah meanwhile sent a file to Dan, and Riley's location where two former Rare Hunters, Strings, and Arkana cornered them both, and readied to duel them with some cards that Dan remembered he seen another Tag Duel had used.

"NO WAY ATEM!?" Dan blurted out which surprised everyone while shocking said man, and Yugi.
"How do you know me young man?" Atem asked him after calming down
"It's a long story." Ray explained to the Pharaoh before pointing out, "But we need to find someone first."
"The Forgotten Dragon with a Determined Soul! May it show salvation for these undead souls who joined their loved ones! Ritual Summon! Level 7, Forgotten Soul Ritual Dragon!" Yuji chanted as his ace burst out of the graveyard portal roaring loud before flying up in the air shooting down in a green mist energy tornado at the weakened Panther Dancer, "Fel Carrier Strike!"
The attack destroyed Panther Dancer as it then cuts to Celina advising Yuji holding up the two Spells, "Soul Absorption allows a player who controls this face-up to gain 500 Life Points for every card that has been banished. With you banishing a lot of cards you can recover from a lot of damage, and survive big attacks. And this, Pot of Desires banishes your top ten cards to draw 2 cards."
"Hate to interrupt..." Kit trailed off before pointing out, "But we were sent to find you, and bring you back."
"ERROR!"
Julia said in shock from figuring out what, "Something hacked into our Duel Disks so we can't transport back to the Synchro Dimension!"
"And maybe our visiting friends from another Dimension can assist with that." Noah smirked after he revealed himself to the group in Kaibacorp.
"I'm... Sorry? Who are you suppose to be?" Yuya asked him confused which Dan answered, "That's Noah Kaiba."
"Well well, I didn't expect to encounter anyone who would know me..." They all turned back as Noah smirked to them, "If you want to stop me then Seto, and Yugi will guide you to what... But just know that I will be waiting for you all to come!"
"Noah's my brother... And it's a brother's job to look after each other." Mokuba said before they all headed in.
"Strings!? Arkana now!?" Dan asked in shock seeing the two Rare Hunters that appeared with them. He then grunted turning Riley, "I know it's scary, let's both team up against them okay?"
Riley nodded as the four prepared themselves in the duel.

Let the duel begin!
The duel between the two had begun with Dan, and Riley back to back against the two former Rare Hunters that Noah had released against them both. Nothing on the field yet but it's safe to say it's gonna be tough.
Strings 1st Turn:
"I'm going first." Strings stated to them with his emotionless look. He looked at his hand before taking a card placing it, "I activate the spell, Side Attack."

Activate only in a Tag-Team Duel by choosing 1 of your opponents. Monsters you control can only attack that player's monsters, and can only be attacked by that player's monsters. That player's monsters can only attack your monsters, and can only be attacked by your monsters. If a player controls no monsters, their opponents can attack them directly.
"When this card activates in a Tag Duel, I can select one opponent. And now monsters that me, and the opponent I chose can only attack or be attacked by each other. And if a player doesn't control a monster their opponents can attack that player directly." Strings stated to them explaining his spell's effect.
Riley's eyes widen hearing that, "A card that can be used in Tag Duels?"
"That... That's the same card Frost used!" Dan realized seeing the card. He remembered in a two-parter of GX that a Tag-Team named Frost, and Thunder who both used Monarch Cards of Water, and Light use Tag-Team Cards to gain an advantage against Syrus, and Hassleberry in addition to their anti-Dinosaur, and Machine tactics to have an unfair advantage.
Strings pointed to Dan, "The opponent I select is in front of me. The kid."

"Then, I use the Spell card, Pot of Greed." Strings said drawing two cards after using the Legendary Spell Card.

"Stop there!" Dan looked up at Strings who revealed a trap.

Dan grunted at this, 'Well if he gets Tails it completely negates a Lockdown on him since his Jam Breeding Machine stops him from summoning anything but Slime Tokens...' The Grim Reaper throw the coin up landing on Heads, "Well that figures..."
"So now you can't Normal or Flip Summon this turn." Strings said to Dan who grunted.
Dan looked at his hand before setting Keeper of the Shrine, Damage Diet, and Red-Eyes Spirit, "If I can't summon anything yet, I can set this monster, and two cards to end my turn."

"Then I'm up next prepare yourself little girl!" Arkana smirked drawing as Dan tensed. He remembered that Arkana cheats in his Duels from trimming his cards so that he can always gets the cards he needs in his Deck. He just hopes Riley can be okay, "And now I summon Skilled Dark Magician!"
At that a black robed, purple armored spellcaster with the shadow crown covering his eyes with crested orbs on his shoulder guards, and staff rose up readying.

Dan frowned hearing that. With that card he, and Riley are at a disadvantage since the original anime focuses mostly on Normal Monsters, and Decks based on them are rare for modern Decks.
"W-Well... I can activate Virgil's ability to discard a Burning Abyss card, and shuffle a card back to the Deck." Riley said discarding a Spell as Virgil strummed his guitar as Soul Drain was shuffled back to Arkana which frees her Deck. Now stuck she sets a card, "I end my turn."

From what appeared from the machine was a small blue slime ball with red eyes, and a opened mouth.

The Fusion Monster charged in attacking the face-down monster which was Keeper of the Shrine as it's destroyed before Strings added, "Then Slime Token attack him directly!"
The Token charged tackling Dan's chest as it grunted from the collision. (Dan: 3500/Hand 3)
"You okay?" Riley asked him worried.
Dan winked to her, "It's alright. That slime ball wasn't that strong on me."
"Well now it'll be more." Strings stated to him as Dan grunted to him turning back before he placed down a card, "I end my turn."

"Okay my turn!" Dan called drawing just as the Grim Reaper on Strings' Tour of Doom card appeared again flipping the coin.
Heads.
"Okay no Normal Summons for me again." Dan said grumbling since he has a card he can use which was Yamata Dragon in his hand to turn the tide but due to Tour of Doom it's pretty much isn't useful at the moment. He looked at his hand seeing what he drawn was Polymerization, 'I would've drawn cards thanks to Yamata Dragon but no thanks to Tour of Doom, I can't now. I gotta get back on track!' "I activate Polymerization!" The Fusion Vortex appeared as he takes Red-Eyes, and Meteor Dragon raising them up, "That allows me to use these two in my hand to Fusion Summon!"
The two Dragons entered the Fusion Vortex fusing together. While that is happening Arkana called gesturing to Skilled Dark Magician, "Skilled Dark Magician's effect activates! At anytime we activate a Spell Card, my Magician gains a Spell Counter!"

"Dragon created from the Meteor! Dragon with gleaming Red-Eyes! Become one, and strive to unite peace! Fusion Summon! Come forth level 9! Meteor Back Comet Dragon!"
At that Meteor Black Comet appeared roaring.

"He sacrificed his Fusion Monster?" Riley asked shocked at that.
Dan grunted, "I didn't finish him... With that he had managed to stay in the duel. Old generic cards always find a way to make a difference in Dueling." Looking at his hand with Black Flare, and Yamata Dragon that he can't use due to Tour of Doom. And he knows isn't dumb enough to attack a set monster he tributes Keeper to summon since it counts as two sacrifices. So for now he has to wait this out, "I end my turn."

"My turn now draw!" Arkana smirked drawing looking. That was before he directed to his face-down, "And now, I activate the Spell, Spell Power Grasp!"

"And since I have three counters on my Magician, I can do this!" Arkana smirked as his Magician meditated glowing bright as they watched tensing up.
"Come forth, Dark Magician!" Arkana called as the ionic Spellcaster rose up.
Unlike what he originally looks like he instead has red and gold robes instead of purple, has slightly darker skin, silvery hair, black markings under the eyes and on the chin, and a more sinister expression.

At that what rose was a spellcaster like warrior having on red armor with gold markings on it with some spikes on his shoulder, elbows, and helmet visor holding a large shield that has points on the top, and bottom, a small sword shaped as a fencer, all three of which has an orb with the same crest on Skilled Dark Magician.

Riley gasped in shock seeing this as Dan widen his eyes before Arkana called, "And now Dark Magician! Eliminate that monster with Dark Magic Attack!"
His Dark Magician charged a dark orb blast firing it which strike Virgil as Riley cried out from the attack. (Riley: 3300/Hand: 2) Despite now being at a disadvantage she called, "W-Well... Since you just destroyed Virgil, I can draw another card!" She drew a card at that as Arkana smirked, "Draw as many as you want, I still got you! Breaker attack her directly!"
Breaker charged in slashing Riley with his sword as she screamed kneeling. (Riley: 1700/Hand: 2)
"Riley!" Dan cried concerned for his girlfriend kneeling down behind her stopping their back to back, "You okay?"
Riley grunted slowly standing up, "Y-Yeah... I didn't expect him to do that."
"Arkana is always a Cheater." Dan grunted glaring at Arkana.
"Cheater you say?"
They looked too see Noah had arrived by digitizing himself a few feet away from the duel with a smirk sitting on a bench watching the match as Riley shivered while Dan grunted before Noah pointed out, "If you know much about me you should also know that I don't tolerate cheating. I wouldn't be worthy to gain Kaibacorp using dirty methods."
"Yeah but you used Mokuba against Kaiba in your duel with him." Dan reminded.
Noah shook his head before saying, "Only because, I wanted to see him struggle between the choices of life. His brother or his own. I would prevent him from winning if I wanted too, but I decided to torture him before then." He then smirked, "And now that I learned my lesson then letting that happen again, I am now only gaining Kaibacorp without using tricks like them."
Hearing that Dan grunted looking down to Riley. Now that he hears that both Arkana, and Strings aren't using unfair methods against them which is bad for Riley. Who knows what else can happen here. Riley then stood up shaking her head, "I'm... I'm okay. I can keep going. He just caught me by surprise."
"Riley..." Dan trailed off as Riley smiled assuringly to him.
Arkana only told them, "If your done with that we got a match to get back too."

Dan grinned to her, "That's it Riley! Great job!"
Riley nodded before calling, "Plus with Calcab's ability, I return a set card to the hand!" She pointed to Arkana's only set card as he grunted returning the card, "And then with Virgil's ability by sending Farfa from my hand to the graveyard, I can shuffle Dark Magician back to your Deck!" Shocked Arkana watched as his Magician was shuffled back before he called, "You won't get away with this you brat! Since Magic Formula gone to the graveyard, I recover 1000 points!" (Arkana: 4000/Hand: 2)
"Well now since Farfa was sent to the graveyard," Riley stated as the graveyard portal opened again as Farfa shot out grabbing Breaker from behind as they vanished, "It banishes a monster until the end phase! Now attack him directly Malacoda!"
Malacoda charged in at Arkana who cried out kneeling down. (Arkana: 1300/Hand: 2) "And now Virgil finish him off!" Virgil charged an attack firing it at Arkana. He then smirked calling, "I activate the effect of Kuriboh to negate the damage you would deal!" Kuriboh appeared as Virgil strike it pulling back as it vanished.
From that Riley grunted before calling, "Then I Overlay both Level 6 Malacoda, and Virgil to build the Overlay Network!"
"Huh?" Dan asked shocked as both the two entered the Overlay Network.
"Lady of the Eternal Abyss who forged the Forbidden Contracts! Descend from above with your presence to rid us of dark powers! Lend me your power here, and now! Xyz Summon! Rank 6, Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal!"
What descended was a woman. She has fair skin lowering down looking like an angel having white angel wings wearing a white dress with blue armor almost looking like ice on her around her waist shoulders, chest, arms, and a crown on it. She also has a white veil from her crown that acts as some sort of hood.

Riley then rose her arm to Beatrice, "Beatrice's ability activates!" Beatrice took an Overlay Unit in her crown (ORU: 2 - 1) "I use one Overlay Unit to send 1 card from my Deck to my graveyard! I send Scram from my Deck to the graveyard!" She sent the card before adding, "And during the end of the turn if Scram is sent to the graveyard, I can place add a Level 3 Fiend to my hand!" Riley shows her added card to be Barbar placing it in her hand.

"I know... But you need to save your cards for your match with Arkana. Strings is mine." Dan assured her turning back to his opponent, "You need it."
Strings called, "And now Revival Jam attack his dragon!"
Revival Jam charged in at his Fusion Monster as Strings called, "Moon Mirror Shield's effect allows Revival Jam to be 100 points stronger!"

Dan called drawing looking over his hand in addition to Yamata Dragon, and the Red-Eyes he added to his hand from Keeper of the Shrine's special ability he had also drawn Hallohallo, Rain Bozu, Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon, Delta Flyer, and his drawn card being Mystical Space Typhoon. Seeing he had drawn a card hand he grinned before looking to Strings' field seeing Tour of Doom's effect is still on as the Grim Reaper tossed the coin up which landed down.
Heads.
"Heads again!?" Riley asked shock seeing her boyfriend can't again Normal Summon.
Noah shrugged admitting, "That's too bad. With the way the puppet has now he can't catch a break."
"Actually... I don't need to Normal Summon." Dan grinned which confuses the three villains. That was before he called, "I'll show you under Scale 2 Hallohallo, and Scale 8 Rain Bozu to set the Pendulum Scale! Ha!"
After placing down the cards his two Pendulum Ghost Spirits rose up on either side as the three looked on in shock as Dan declared, "Now I can summon monsters who's levels are 2 through 7 at once!"

Riley smiled seeing the scale. It's the same scale he had used in his own match with her, and remembering their effects she knows that Strings is hereby gone since Pendulum Summon doesn't count as Normal, or Tribute Summoning so Tour of Doom's effect is useless at that point. Arkana meanwhile shouted, "What's that kid doing!?"
"Monsters of the different Dimensions, and Times! Join through this world here to protect all those! Pendulum Summon! Join us my monsters!"
The portal appeared before two lights shot from the portal as they materialized his summoned monsters.
"Come back my second Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and the Tuner Monster, Delta Flyer!"
Red-Eyes appeared beside it's other self roaring while Delta Flyer flew up readying itself.

Noah looked on amazed having never witnessed Pendulum Summon. Any doubt of Dan, and Riley alongside their allies being from Different Dimensions just vanished without a trace from witnessing that since it gets around Tour of Doom's effect without any drawbacks. Plus from what he heard right Dan said he can summon monsters in between the Scale which means since he has two cards that are 2, and 8 he can summon cards between 3, and 7 all from his hand at once. Noah then gave a sly grin, 'Things just gotten even more interesting...'
Strings had lost his emotionless look from seeing the Pendulum Summon in shock. Dan grinned to him, "Don't stare long cause these two won't stay here long the way they are."
"What?" Strings asked hearing that.
Dan gestured to Hallohallo, "I activate Hallohallo's Pendulum Ability! I convert the Level of one of my Red-Eyes into what I roll! Go Ghost Dice!"
Hallohallo meditated as as the Dice appeared between Dan's hands rolling before stopping on a 4, "Level 4!" One of his two Red-Eyes glowed as his level lowered.
Red-Eyes: (LV: 7 - 3 = 4)
"And that allows me to Overlay, Keeper of the Shrine, and Red-Eyes!" Dan called as the two Dragons glowed purple entering the Overlay Network, "In order to build the Overlay Network!"
After the lights entered the Portal it exploded glowing bright.
"Queen of the Dragons! Rise through here, and defend the mighty Dragons with your peaceful rule! Xyz Summon! Rank 4, Queen Dragun Djinn!"
At that a woman having a flaming appearance with a dragon like staff appeared.

A red scaled three headed dragon rose up behind him roaring. The Dragon also has beige underbelly which also coats the front of his neck with two huge wings almost in the same way as Forgotten Soul, and a huge tail with massive spines from the back of his heads all the way to his tail.

"Consecutive attacks!?" Strings asked shocked by such a powerful ability.
"Then Queen Dragun's ability activates! By using an Overlay Unit," Dragun took an Overlay Unit in her staff as she rose it up opening the graveyard portal (ORU: 2- 1), "I can summon back a Level 5 or higher Dragon from the graveyard but it cannot attack this turn, or use it's special abilities! Revive back, Meteor Black Comet Dragon!"
His Fusion Dragon rose back up roaring though grey.

Dan then raised up another card, "I now activate the spell, Mystical Space Typhoon!"

The winds enveloped the Equip Spell destroying it thus getting rid of Revival Jam's offensive power. Though even without that the Slime Tokens enough would allow Dan to win though Dan remembering Strings' cards assumed Strings has Jam Defender which can redirect attacks to Revival Jam which is why he had gotten rid of Moon Mirror Shield so Revival Jam can't survive the next attacks, "And now for the big finish! Trident Dragion attack his Slime Tokens, and Revival Jam! Trident Flames!"
The Dragon charged three fire streams blasting the three Slime Monsters as Strings was pushed back screaming before vanishing in data. (Strings: 0000/Hand: 1) Dan watched on before smiling to Riley who smiled back before he said, "And with that I end my turn. Beat him Riley!"
Arkana 3rd Turn:
Arkana grunted before drawing his seventh card looking over before calling, "Well now, I activate Spell Power Grasp!" The Spell appeared as Breaker glowed, "This card gives Breaker one Spell Counter, then I add another copy of that card to my hand!" Breaker's crest again glowed as Arkana shows the card.
Breaker the Magical Warrior: (Spell Counter: 1/1/ATK: 1600 + 300 = 1900)
"Then I activate Dark Magic Curtain!" Arkana called using a spell.

After placing a card on his Duel Disk from the curtain shot his version of Dark Magician again readying himself while Riley grunted facing this Magician again.

His Dark Magician once again read the book before charging a spell again.

Knowing she has to do something Riley called, "I activate Beatrice's Special Ability!" Beatrice took a second Unit in her crown as Arkana looked shocked, "You can use that effect during my turn!?" (ORU: 1 - 0) "By using an Overlay Unit, I send 1 card from my Deck to the graveyard!" She looked over her Deck before smiling showing Barbar as Dan started to stifle his laughter remembering it's effect as Arkana looked confused as she sent it before revealing, "Since Barbar was sent to the graveyard, I can use it's ability to banish 3 Burning Abyss Cards from my graveyard... And deal you 300 points of damage for each card!"
"What the hell!?" Arkana cried in shock from hearing that. Had these kids known he would use Dark Magic Curtain which makes his points lower enough for that monster's ability to finish him off?
Barbar rose up from the graveyard portal swinging his ball at Arkana who looked on frightened before being hit screaming vanishing in data.

Dan started laughing from the way Riley won against Arkana, "He-He should've seen the look on his face when he knows of Barbar's ability!"
Riley chuckled herself as Noah watched on interested. From seeing Dan, and Riley using multiple summons at the same time with Fusion, and Ritual is sure to make things more fun. Of course he wonders what this could mean in his future plans. Deciding this is the time to head off he vanished in data as Dan noticed his departure, "Noah left."
"But we will encounter him again right?" Riley asked him a little nervous about Noah.
Dan placed an arm on her shoulder, "Yes we will." He turned to her deciding to find the others. "Come on we gotta find everyone else if we're gonna help Noah." She nodded as they both walked off together.
Meanwhile...
Noah was back in his chair as he watches Riley, and Dan walked off as he looked on, "Hmm... If all of these Different Dimension folk have these different summons then this will be interesting... Be a bit of a problem but interesting." He reflects back on what he witnessed, "Pendulum, Synchro, Xyz... All three interesting summon mechanics. I wonder just how we can take them in our own hands. Till then guess I should continue throwing obstacles at them or such." Looking into another thing he sees the Zuzu, and Aura by themselves looking around as he smirked, "Oh, I know the perfect guy to use on those two there."
With that thought he looked on a data file from File: Villains which is called Marik's Dark Half as he smirked, "Lately with the way Ra's support has been shown it is appropriate to unleash it's controller down on these two."
With that thought he merged the file with the location Zuzu, and Aura are at.
Oh that is bad news. One of the most infamous, and most sadistic duelists are coming out to play here next time with Zuzu, and Aura. How would those two deal against an Egyptian God here with an opponent like that, or better yet deal with a weaker version of it. Numbers maybe keeping their anime effects, the Egyptian Gods however don't since they gained a lot of support which has most of their original effects so it makes sense for it to be like that.
