Well, I finished season 3 of Dr. Stone and it was great, I can't tell you WHY I fell off when season 2 finished, but it was just as fun as I thought it would be. So now I wait for season 4 as I'm pretty sure that the manga has more chapters, with at least 2 arcs being coming up which with how many chapters they use per episode, should be enough for more or less 20 episodes, which would be less than season 3, but a lot more than season 2. Now, I just got to finish season one of Vinland Saga

Chapter 37: Internships

"Now that we've got through your hero names, you need to go through your options for your internships. They'll last a week, so don't pick places that you'll have issues with staying with overnight, though I would advise you consider expanding your horizons based on who you'll pick." Vlad stated that as he and Midnight addressed the class, his partner was pleased with how things had gone.

"As you can imagine, pros have specialties. Thirteen is all about Rescue, while someone like Mirko is a straight brawler, and pros like Wash and Uwabami are more media focused." Midnight explained, which the students seemed to absorb well enough, though she doubted that Mirko had sent in an offer as while Hawks at least had sidekicks, Mirko didn't even have an agency and was fiercely independent.

"Like I said, those that didn't receive offers would instead be picking one of the 40 agencies that the school has already vetted and signed agreements with, we made sure that the agencies are located in different parts of Japan and focus on different aspects of hero work to ensure you all get a wide range of choices, but this also is open to those who did receive offers, but got less than 40." Vlad held up one of those standard lists for them to see.

"So just…6 of us would be getting personalized listings?" Tetsutetsu asked, after taking a second to do a head of those he recalled that managed to break that 40-plus threshold.

"Correct," Vlad replied, which made Honenuki sigh that while he got offers, it wasn't enough, though he couldn't be too angry about it. Not like he had the chance to impress like the rest. With that said, Vlad and Midnight went around passing around the lists, the 6 who got more than 40 had lists that were notably longer than the rest, with their names at the top of the multiple pages, while the rest got single sheets.

"I need someone who can help me learn to fight in urban areas." Tetsutetsu smiled as he looked through his list, trying to find pros that specialized in combat in cities.

"I could use this as a chance to learn how to better navigate urban areas without damaging things." Shishida looked through his options, as with his quirk's side effects, it wouldn't do for him to chase after villains if that meant wrecking things in the way.

"If I can improve my scouting skills, then I'm there," Tokage smirked, as she could see the advantages of being able to improve her ability to spot and track targets.

"Rescue and recovery seem like a prudent choice for me." Shiozaki perhaps, unsurprisingly, wasn't looking into the names of heroes she imagined would have wanted her for combat, though she didn't ignore them either as learning how to restrain villains was also on the table.

"I wonder if the listings have any underground heroes," Kuroiro noted, as there was no distinction between hero agencies on the list, so he'd have to look into this when he got home.

"I'll try and pick someone close to All Might and Endeavour, I'll need better training for how to be an all-rounder," Monoma said, spoiled for choice with over 300 to pick from. There were sure to be some good ones in there.

Midoriya, who by far had the largest listings, found himself shifting through 70 pages worth of offers, picking up the first one, he saw the basic information like the hero that made the offer, their agency, location, and specialty. "I'm going to try and keep away from city centers, there's more than enough work to be done to the periphery." That meant that he was going to ignore the offer from Endeavour.

"You have till the last bell tomorrow to turn in your choices," Vlad informed them as he and Midnight walked towards the door, surprising the students with how little time they would have, especially for those who got 100 plus offers.

"Just 2 days?" Kaibara asked, to which Vlad nodded as Midnight opened the door.

"That should be plenty of time, think of it as part of your training, as heroes need to be patient and thoughtful enough to gather evidence, but decisive to not waste time," Vlad told them as he stepped through the door.

"Good luck, I know you'll do great!" Midnight gave one last word of encouragement before she closed the door behind them.

Hours later, with the lunch bell had rung, the bulk of the students remained in class rather than head out to the cafeteria, the reason being that with this being their first free time since they got them, they were looking over their offers and trying to figure out where to go. Those who had multiple pages to shift through had it the worst.

"Have you made any progress?" Kuroiro asked Shiozaki as she looked through her options, a frown on her face.

"There are quite a lot of names on the list, it's…taking time to consider all of them." She replied, as it was taking a lot longer than she first thought, even when she removed the options from pure battle-type heroes.

Midoriya had stopped looking through his options when he reached the 11th page, now he was face down on his desk as he groaned out. "Don't even talk to me about it, if I had known that I'll be buried in offers, I wouldn't have shown off so damn much!"

"You would have." Kodai rebuffed.

"Oh, you hurt me," He muttered as he turned his head to her, with the girl meeting his gaze, giving nothing before he rolled his eyes and smirked. "Fine, I would have."

"Thank of it this way, our green Cheshire cat," Tokage detached her head and floated it over to the two. "Over 3 thousand different pros think you're going to be big one day and want to help you achieve that." Frankly, if they could share offers, she wouldn't mind parsing through the ones he had already crossed out, but when she looked over at his offers, she was surprised when she saw 2 names in that rejected group.

"Speaking of big time, did you cross out Endeavour and Ryukyu?" She was shocked to see that he got offers from both the number 2 and number 9 heroes. Her mentioning it brought more attention from their classmates still around as for most, the options the school provided were for pros nowhere near the top 100, never mind the top 10.

"Is it because Endeavour's flames might not pair well with your quirk?" She asked as she hadn't thought about that yet, but how flame-resistant was Midoriya's wood? She smiled at the question in her head, and Midoriya needed just one look to tell that she was thinking something dirty, and it probably involved him with how she was eying him.

Still, he shook his head at her question. "It's not an issue of quirk capability, it's an issue of location. I don't want to just follow someone around in the middle of town where they're plenty of pros and the limelight, I want to go where pros rarely do and help there."

Fukidashi, who was passing by, stopped to think about that. "That's true, pros tend to concentrate in larger population centers, my hometown has a fraction of the heroes that a big place like Tokyo has, and certainly no pros in the top 100 have been in the area for a while."

His hometown wasn't all that big, maybe around 40 thousand people, the kind of place where most people knew each other, but he also knew that aside from its low population, which meant that they just had a couple dozen pros, it was also an outlier when it came to him and people like him, one that he was immensely grateful for.

Midoriya snapped his fingers at that, pointing at Fukidashi. "Exactly my point! The big cities have plenty of pros already, so this cat's going to where the rest don't think is worth their time, even if nothing happens for my internship, I'll sleep better knowing I was around just in case it did, rather than show up after things already happened." Midoriya smelled smoke, felt the heat, and heard cries in that moment, but shook his head to clear it.

"Uwabami," Kodai revealed, placing her list down without any more thought.

"Really? Her?" Monoma asked, and when she nodded, her half-heartedly shrugged. "Well, I can't stop you, but didn't Midnight mention she's more media-related than on the streets fighting villains?"

"I need help with marketing," Kodai replied, which was an understatement if they had ever heard one as Monoma leaned back into his seat.

"That isn't too surprising, as you are a capable and attractive young lady, but don't have the best social skills." He noted, Kodai not refuting a single claim of his.

"Big talk coming from you, who are you even picking?" Tetsutetsu asked him, as Monoma dramatically sighed, doing a terrible job of hiding his smile.

"I've already eliminated a few names, but one seems to be a strong contender." Monoma showed the white-haired boy one of the names he had underlined for a second look once he had gotten rid of the rest.

"Ms. Joke? Who's that?" Tetsutetsu asked, to which Midoriya took a moment to think about it before he was able to put a face to the name.

"She's a brawler hero, her quirk makes it that she forces people to laugh uncontrollably, then she takes advantage of the chaos to finish off villains." He explained, cracking a smile as her fights were always a blast to watch, not just her quirk but her attitude and energy could make even the most serious of fights into a real-life Looney Tunes bit. Helped by the fact that her fists were like those cartoon hammers with how much force she could pack into blows.

Monoma nodded at the explanation as he tapped his highlighter on his desk. "She's also one of the more popular heroines despite not being in the top 200. And is noted to be quite intelligent, I could learn a thing or two from shadowing someone like that, a smiling face with a sharp mind."

"Just don't come back trying to make us laugh," Kaibara told him, Monoma turning to face him as Yanagi walked on by.

"Yeah, that'll be creepy." Monoma turned to her, yelling that it was downright comical to hear her complain about things being creepy, and how he was very much not creepy.

"Oh yeah, I found a great choice!" Before the argument could grow further, Kamakiri jumped to his feet.

Looking at his form, Tsuburaba couldn't help but be impressed by what he had seen the mohawked boy had highlighted. "Holy-! You got an offer from Shishido?"

"Hell yeah, someone recognized my potential. Now I can't wait for internships to start!" Kamakiri punched his fists together, as Shishido was a top 20 hero, one of the best of the best, especially when it came to his combat abilities as he's taken down some seriously powerful villains in his time.

When the day came to an end, the students were preparing to leave, the rain had broken hours before meant that they wouldn't need to worry about it but instead could enjoy the setting sun, Midoriya had plans to do just that while he went through his offers.

Gathering his things, including his stack of offers, he was approached by Kuroiro and Kodai. "Midoriya, you free to walk to the station together?" The black-skinned boy asked, to which Midoriya smiled as they made their way to the door.

"Of course I…" Midoriya paused, then frowned as he looked towards the door, picking up something coming, someone.

"Midoriya," Kodai asked as it was quite strange for him to just pause like that.

"One second." Midoriya reached for the door, pulling it open right as All Might slid into view, surprising the others with how out of nowhere this was.

"I am here! In a b-!"

"Afternoon, All Might. Is there something you need?" Midoriya interrupted All Might, raising an eyebrow, the man nearly biting his tongue at how his bit had been so rudely cut short.

"How did you even know he was coming? The door was closed!" Monoma asked, to which Midoriya turned his head towards him.

"You know how your cat always seems to know-" Monoma stopped him there, he figured that it had something to do with his power, but while he could ask about that later, he knew it would be like pulling teeth now.

"Forget it, we know, you're like the weirdest cat out there." He muttered as All Might coughed into his hand to draw attention back to him.

"Sorry for interrupting your talk, but would you come with me for a moment, Midoriya? I wish to speak with you." Now, even Midoriya was surprised by that, as he and All Might didn't have much of a connection, nothing greater than what the number one had with the rest of his class. Still, there wasn't much reason to refuse him and it would allow him a chance to speak with him.

"Sure, lead the way." He nodded as he turned to his friends, smiling apologetically. "I'll try and catch up with you guys if I can, but don't wait up." While wondering why All Might wished to speak with him, his friends didn't push it and said their goodbyes as All Might led Midoriya away. As he expected, they didn't go for the exit but walked deeper into the school, its winding halls nearly empty with only a few students around, and staff elsewhere.

After a couple of minutes, he realized that they were going towards the faculty lounge, a place he had known about, but had never the reason or desire to go there himself. Reaching it, All Might opened the door for him, only for him to find that there was something else waiting. "Kendo?"

The orange-haired girl was equally surprised to see him as she had been seated on the couch, a set of tea on the table, already coming to a boil. "Midoriya? Was he the reason you stepped out?" Kendo directed the question towards All Might, who walked in after Midoriya and gently closed the door.

"Yes," The man burst into steam, getting a shocked yelp from Midoriya, when it cleared, he was in his skinny form. "I wanted to speak with you both before you left for the day." As Midoriya had seen before, the man's voice changed, losing that deep baritone but somehow still carrying through that this was All Might, at least, it did to him.

But there was one thing that was off about this, as Kendo didn't react to All Might's true form at all, her eyes didn't even widen or her breath increased. "She knew about this." Midoriya realized as All Might directed him to take the seat next to her as he went about finishing the tea.

As he did that, Kendo explained things. "I've known for a few months. All Might's kinda scouted me before the year started and it was only a matter of time before I caught how he looks when he isn't 'sucking in his gut and puffing out his chest.'" She gave the man a side-eye at that, but he didn't take it to the chin, the two having prepared the cover beforehand, one made stronger by the fact that it was true, there were merely details missing from it, like anything relating to quirks or One for All.

"…Somehow," Midoriya started but paused before he chuckled while shaking his head. "I buy that." Yeah, All Might seemed like the type to make a slip like that, number one he might be, but he wasn't perfect.

But that could come later as he turned his full attention to All Might. "Before you say what you wish, there is something I want to say first, and that's an apology." Midoriya bowed his head, catching the two off guard.

"Apology?" All Might asked.

"The day we met, I…I was emotional from a hard day and took it out on you for no fault of yours. I understand that I was in the wrong, and hope to make it up to you." Midoriya stated, as trying to pretend like it didn't happen, not acknowledging when he was in the wrong, which was shameful, a disgrace to everything he had been taught.

All Might recalled that day, but he didn't feel any anger towards Midoriya as he reached over and pat the boy's hand, making sure to avoid the 'cat' ears that sat atop his head. "Young Midoriya, please raise your head, it wasn't as if my words were kind to you."

"But they weren't wrong, it was wrong of me to react like that," Midoriya affirmed, which All Might mused about before coming to a plan of action.

"Well, I never held it against you, my boy. We all say things we don't mean when we're angry, comes with being human." He said as he retracted his hand and took the pot off the heater, setting aside two cups to pour tea into, as he did so, he continued the conversation. "But I called you hear because I wished to get into contact with your master, Ms. Kenmikito."

Midoriya blinked, wondering why he would want to contact his master before he recalled something. With a snap of his fingers, he pointed towards All Might. "Oh, is this about the bet?"

"Bet, what bet?" Kendo asked, to which All Might winced as he set Midoriya's cup down in front of him.

"You didn't tell her?" Midoriya asked him, picking up his cup and taking in the smell of it, the earthy nutty scent reminding him of a garden.

"Tell me what, All Might?" All Might started to sweat a little when Kendo turned her gaze towards him, completely ignoring the tea he had poured her. Midoriya observed the interaction as he sipped his drink.

'There some history between these two, he must have trained her for a while for them to act like this.' Well, that seemed to line up with their explanation of him being her mentor, though as much as he wanted to watch the man squirm a little just for the novelty of it, he decided to bail him out.

"All Might, Endeavour, and my master made a little wager during the Sports Festival. Whoever's student won would gain the right to speak with the other two, and since you defeated Todoroki and knocked me on my ass, that means All Might can request a sit-in with my master." He started like he reading off a page, as he had long accepted that he had lost.

"Wait, you gambled on me?" Kendo seemed appalled by the idea that All Might could gamble, but then she looked towards Midoriya and saw that he had not reacted like she expected he would. "Your master gambled on you?"

"I mean-yeah. Nothing wrong with it, not like she gambled away my freedom or virginity." Midoriya was nonplussed with it, he had been since his master informed him of the bet during the festival.

His choice of examples made Kendo gasped for air, her face going red as All Might groaned. "I wish you wouldn't phrase it like that, it makes it sound so much worse than it was."

Midoriya chuckled, as now that the air between the two was settled, he felt comfortable enough to mess around with the symbol of peace. He twitched his air as he held up his tea. "What I just said was that it didn't include those things. Besides, mentors bet on their students all the time, you bet that the time you spent teaching us would allow us to achieve and get far in life. The only difference here is that the 3 of them said the quiet part out loud."

"Young Midoriya." All Might frowned at him, but Midoriya only smiled wider as he took another snip of his tea, Kendo doing the same to try and bury the insane example Izuku had given where if she lost she would have to sleep with either Todroroki or Midoriya.

"No worries, All Might, I'll give you her contacts, you can settle on a date between the two of you," Midoriya asked for the man's phone, and once he got it, he quickly put in his master's personal contact details, reasoning that she wouldn't mind before he handed the phone back to All Might, who saw Midoriya had recorded her details, including her email under the name 'Master Kenmikito.'

But now that he had brought up the bet, he also thought of something else. "But I do wonder how mad Endeavour must have been when his boy got laid out like a pancake." Midoriya crackled at that, Kendo keeping silent as she recalled how withdrawn Todoroki had been, even by his standards in class.

As soon as he saw her when she walked in, it was like that quiet confidence he once held in his ice was gone, replaced with uncertainty, but it was better than what he had looked like after the festival, so unless it got out of hand, she'll let him accept things at his own pace.

At least, that was the plan before she learned of this little agreement between the two adults. Even a casual person could tell you that Endeavour wasn't an easy man to please or get along with, and her sole encounter with him before her match with Todoroki only cemented that. She had heard from the son, and seen how the father acted, so now she worried that he had been less than kind to Shoto after his loss, especially because he had been holding back the entire time. She'll need to speak with him tomorrow.

'Great, first I have the situation with Iida, now this?' Kendo thought to herself, recalling how things had gone with her friend.

"With that little discussion settled," All Might moved them away from that, and let Kendo forget her worries, even if for the time being. "There was something else I wished to ask, that being if you've chosen where you'll intern." He directed the question towards Midoriya, who shook his head.

"As a matter of fact, no. I got over 3100 offers, and only have eliminated around 400 of them." He replied as he had planned to sit on the engawa of the dojo and go through names, even postponing the evening training he normally did to give himself extra time to think things through.

All Might smiled at that. "Well, I was hoping that you'd coordinate where you went with young Kendo here."

"Or-ordinate, why?" Midoriya asked as Kendo explained it.

"Because he thinks we can help each other improve since well, you're the only one in our grade that can keep up with me." She stated, no arrogance but truth in her words.

"I would say can follow more than keep up." Midoriya corrected as he recalled which of them got the gold.

"Says the one that passed outstanding." Kendo rebutted.

"The point is, that I believe that you can sharpen each other skills and one way you can do that is if you pick pros that either work close to each other, or ideally, the same agency." All Might stopped them from arguing about their respective power, they could do that later.

"That's…not impossible, I'm sure that we can find a common ground, how many offers did you get, Kendo?" Midoriya asked as he saw plenty of names that he had also sent offers to others in his class, well at least those that got over 100 offers.

"It was a little higher than I thought," Kendo replied, feeling a little bashful about that.

Midoriya gave her a straight, unamused smirk. "Kendo, I was expecting maybe 500 and got over 3K, whatever number you got isn't gonna surprise me."

"Over 4200." She admitted, as she had gotten the most in her class by far, almost 4 times what second place Bakugo got and he made it clear how pissed he had been with that. However, Midoriya didn't react at all. "Why aren't you surprised?!"

He merely raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing. "Why would I be? You swept the competition, if I could take 3rd and get as many, I would have expected you would have got like 5k." He would have thought she'd have every agency in the country interested in her, even smaller ones out in the boonies. "But that does mean that the odds are that a few hundred of our offers must have come from the same agencies. We can discuss this overline later."

All Might clapped his hands together. "Excellent, well then, I won't keep you any longer. Please enjoy your evening and be sure to pick agencies that you'll learn the most from."

"Midoriya, just out of curiosity, what was the offer spread for your class?" Kendo asked as the two walked out of the school, having taken the time to finish their tea and chat with All Might beforehand, but that meant that their friends had already left campus.

Midoriya answered the question, revealing that like her, he got the most offers in his class by far. "That is a steep change, though not as bad as what happened with Shoji." Kendo frowned, still angry over what she had seen.

"Did he not get any offers?" Midoriya asked, concerned that such a thing could have happened, and wondering what kind of response class A would have had to it.

Kendo shook her head, as it wasn't that bad, but it was still an insulting number. "He did, but just 95, the 3rd lowest in our class," Kendo replied, as she didn't hold it against Yaoyorozu, especially when the heiress seemed to see it herself, but it was a front to their hard work that she, who was easily eliminated in the first round managed 108 offers. Even people like Ashido and Tokoyami who while also knocked out in the first round, but had arguably better showings, got 21 and 48 offers respectively.

Midoriya out a breath of annoyance through his nose at that. "Utter fools, he's a powerful unit, probably would have bested Bakugo if he had the means to counter those explosions."

"I talked with him about it, and he seemed like he expecting something like it, but at least 95 agencies can recognize potential," Kendo added, as she and several others in class had been quite vocal about Shoji's rather lacking offers, which she was sure he appreciated, Uraraka even offered to share some of her offers with him as she got 147, till Aizawa told her that wasn't how it worked.

"Part of me wants to ask him which sent him offers so I can give them a second look if I've already crossed them out." Midoriya sighed, to which Kendo offered him a smile as they walked towards the main gates, the sun lower in the sky, giving them less than half an hour before it was gone.

"I'm sure he'll appreciate that," Kendo replied, but Midoriya could tell she was thinking of something else, something unpleasant.

"Something on your mind?" He asked her.

"I…well, I'm just worried that I didn't make the right call earlier, with Iida." Kendo nearly blew it off, but stopped herself, sighing herself as he massaged her forehead.

"And what was that?" Midoriya asked, to which she looked at him like he was an idiot before she recalled that she didn't know much about Iida either when the year started, so why would he?

"Well, his brother was attacked by Stain during the festival, he had to leave early to get to the hospital to see him," Kendo explained to him, which made him frown, as he hadn't noticed that Iida had been upset during the medal ceremony, being out of it thanks to exhaustion. However, that didn't mean he didn't know about Stain, as if not from the news, the residents of the estate liked talking about him. The villain was especially dangerous as he seemed to only target pros, and had already taken several lives doing it.

"Dammit, is he?" He asked as he feared for the worst, his mind making a note to think about the fact Iida's brother was a pro for later.

"His brother survived…but he's been paralyzed from the waist down." Kendo relayed what she had heard from Iida earlier, but her frown only grew more pronounced. "But the thing is…Iida was acting normal today."

Midoriya was confused. "Is there an issue?"

She shook her head, her hands forming into fists as she recalled how she had seen him that morning. "You would have needed to see it to understand but…Iida was acting normal, but he didn't seem normal. He's still dealing with everything, and no one can blame him but he's not talking with us. Uraraka and I offered even just an ear and he just said he appreciates it but he's fine."

Midoriya thought about him, also frowning as he could see where her concern was coming from. He had seen plenty of people's responses to trauma and loss in that damned fire, but the ones that refused to even acknowledge it were always the most troubling cases, as at least with the others, they let themselves grief, as one needed that period misery to start healing. All it did to ignore it, wasn't merely to pause the healing process, but added to that emotional unbalance, which like a pressure cooker left on the fire sealed shut, meant that if it wasn't addressed soon, it would explode.

"That is upsetting, but it seems like you didn't do anything wrong. You can't force him to accept that he needs to talk to something." Midoriya told her, as he had seen people try, even he did in those early days, but all that did was make such people close themselves off even more or get aggressive in their denials of even having an issue.

Kendo nodded, as she knew that, but while she worried about that, her real issue was in what she uncovered. "That wasn't the issue. The issue came with our internship offers. As class rep, I'm the one that Aizawa said had to handle our forms, and Iida handed his in today, or at least tried to." Midoriya wondered why that was, as with them, they either went straight to the staff room, or handed them to Vlad-sensei directly, but then again, Vlad-sensei did comment from time to time that Aizawa was more of a hands-off teacher, or in his words 'sleepy bum'.

Kendo continued, her anxiety and frustrations fusing as she recounted what she had uncovered. "I saw that he chose Manuel, he's not a bad choice, pretty solid stats but he's based in Hosu."

"I'm guessing that Iida's brother was attacked in Hosu?" Midoriya said, not asked, and when Kendo didn't refute it, he crossed his arms in thought. "That…that doesn't seem like him, I can't say I know him, we're in different classes but our match." He admitted though Iida seemed like the type that wore his character on his sleeve.

"He didn't seem like the type that planned something that reckless." And that character would never purposely put himself into a situation where he'll need to fight a villain, one that's proven capable of killing fully trained and experienced pros.

"Normally, he is, but he's not acting normal right now." Kendo reminded him, recalling when she saw the form, and what action she took. "I caught up with him before lunch ended and asked him about it, but he just tried to blow me off, so I put my foot down." Again, he tried to play it off, offering a smile and words that it was merely a coincidence, that he heard Manuel was a good pro he could learn from.

"I told him he either changed his choice, or I told the teachers about my concerns, which could get him barred from internships entirely." The fact that he could lie to her face like infuriated her, so she grabbed him as he turned to leave and gave him an ultimatum, one she had full intentions of following through if, and she made that clear.

"You don't mess around, do you?" Midoriya didn't judge her, if anything, his eyes held respect for her making what could have only been a right play even when it was incredibly unpopular. "And he didn't take that well at all."

She groaned out a curse, stress leaving her but not all of it. "That's simplifying it. He refused to look at me for the rest of the day, and when the last bell sounded, he was out the door like that." Once he saw that she wasn't playing, he tried to force her to back off, but against the fact she was a class rep and the stronger of the two by a mile, there was little he could do other than glare at her.

But he did retract his papers so there was that, all she'll need to do was check up tomorrow during lunch to see if he didn't just think he could pull a fast one when she wasn't looking, after all, it wouldn't be odd for All Might to check them for her if she asked.

"Well, if you ask me, you made the right call. As someone who got pissy with All Might when he was mad, I can tell you that you aren't liable to make practical choices when emotional. I'm sure once he's calmed down, he'll understand that you stopped him from making a big mistake." Midoriya laughed, patting her on the back.

Kendo took some relief in that as she couldn't talk about this with Uraraka, as she wasn't really in a place where she could understand, nor did she want to drag her into this frosty dynamic she now had with their speedster friend. There was Yaomomo, her vice rep, but the girl, like Todoroki, was dealing with her things as she had been quite downtrodden and quiet since she was so easily defeated, even time away from school hadn't changed that much. It wouldn't be fair to ask her for advice with dealing with something like this now.

She couldn't even talk with All Might about it since as a teacher, he would be obligated to act, and while she made the threat, Kendo preferred to not involve them in this if she could help it. With their chat's deeper issues finishing, they were able to share much lighter topics till they reached the station, the two wishing the other a good night as Kendo boarded a train to head home, Midoriya needing to wait a little longer for his own to pass through.
