I woke up with a groan, I didn't sleep well. I had a nightmare. I hadn't had one in a while, but this was the worst one. I was in the woods in my wolf form, when I heard a piercing howl, Jake. I started running towards him and saw...Edward on top of Jake, strangling him. I was ready to pounce when Alice jumped on top of me and bite into my neck... Thats when I woke up. Holding back a scream. I managed to get up and went to the bathroom. I changed into the only shirt and pants that fit me, a light grey t-shirt and a pair of cropped off jeans. I brushed my hair and walked into the hallway.
I heard sounds coming from the kitchen. I walked over and saw Jake and Billy cooking breakfast, I was honestly a bit surprised. When they heard me walk in, they looked up at me. Billy smiled and nodded, before turning back to the scrambled eggs he was cooking. Jake walked over to me and gave me a bear hug. I returned it gratefully, before kissing him on the cheek. He smiles and grabs my hand, leading me over to the tiny table in the kitchen corner. It was such a relief to see him, even though I knew it was just a dream, it scared me. I felt a tear on my cheek, but quickly wiped it away. Before I wiped it away, Jake noticed and frowned.
"What's wrong Bells?" He asks me, he sounded concerned, I knew he was concerned.
"I had a nightmare last night, you... were being killed by...Edward and I was in my wolf form and tried to help you, but Alice... bit me in the neck." I whispered, holding back sobs.
"Oh Bells..." He says quietly, he pulls me into another hug. We sat like that for a few minutes, before Billy brought over 3 plates of eggs and bacon. I pull myself out of the hug, but still held his hand. I realized that I much hungrier then normal, I wolf down the eggs and bacon in record time, so does Jake. Billy laughs. Alwas hungry, another wolf thing. Me and Jake laugh with him. Then Billy turns to me.
"Bella, now that you are a wolf there are some things you have to do." Billy said, giving Jake a look. Then Jake turns to me. A bit of a frown on his face.
"Bells, you may not like it but..." He pauses and I look at him, starting to realize what he means. He continues. "Now that you are a wolf you have to cut your hair and... get the tattoo that all pack members have." He said, a hint of worry about how I would react in his voice. I groan. I forgot, when a wolf joins the pack, they have to cut their hair and get the pack tattoo, that shows two wolves twinned together, it is meant to represent strength and solidarity, to show that you are part of the pack. I wasn't planning to get a tattoo, but I am part of the pack. I wasn't going to complain. I was happy to be a part of the pack.
"Fine, but where?" I ask, not sure where I get the tattoo, we could cut my hair anywhere, but the tattoo has special meaning. Jake smiles a weak smile.
"We can do both at the Clearwater's." Billy says, I nod. Billy smiles. I get up and walk towards the door, Jake follows. I wanted to go in my wolf form, but I decided to phase after the tattoo and hair cut were done. I walked over to my truck and went to the drivers side. Jake hopped into the passenger side and I started down the road. I knew how to get there, I had been there before all this wolf stuff had happened. The ride was silent.
I pulled up out front of the faded blue house and got out. Jake got out and walked over to me, grabbing my hand. I saw Leah smiling at me from the front porch. I smiled back. We walked up to the porch and I gave Leah a hug. We walked inside and I saw Sue and Harry waiting for me.
"Billy called, you ready?" Harry asked me. I nodded. Sue came over and gave me a hug.
"We'll cut your hair first." Sue said, grabbing my hand and pulling me to the back porch, Leah followed. Jake waited in the living room, he was helping Harry set up. Sue pointed to a chair sitting on the porch and I sat down.
"How short do you want it?" Sue asked me kindly. I knew that I wanted it at about the length that Leah had her hair. It was a bit shorter then medium length.
"Is it ok if I have it about Leahs length?" I asked looking at Leah. She rolled her eyes and smiled. Then she nodded.
"Of course!" Sue said enthusiastically. I smiled at her and then Leah. She started cutting my hair and was done within a few minutes. It was weird to not feel it down on my shoulders anymore, but I didn't mind that much.
"Thank you Sue." I said, she smiled at me and nodded. I got up and walked back inside. Leah followed me. I went upstairs and looked in a mirror. I liked my haircut. Leah smiled at me. I walked back downstairs and into the living room. I saw Harry sitting in a chair by the couch, next to him was a small side table with a trey on top of it. I was Jake sitting on the far end of the couch away from Harry. I noticed that the trey had a buzz needle and a black ink bottle on it. I felt the anxiety flood through me. I felt Leahs hand on my shoulder, I turned around and looked at her.
"You be fine, it isn't as bad as you think." She said trying to calm me down. I took a deep breath and walked over to the side of the couch near Harry. Jake scooted across the couch and grabbed my hand, squeezing it lightly. I looked at him, trying to calm myself down.
"Ok Bella, I promise to make it as quick as I can." Harry said, I turned around to look at him and saw him putting ink on the needle. I turned back to Jake. I heard the buzz of the needle, and then I felt it. It felt like a hundred needles piercing my skin. I let out a quiet moan of pain. Jake squeezed my hand a little harder. The pain was still there, but it started to become numbing. I still let out a few moans and groans of pain. Every time I did Jake would try to calm me down. It finally stopped as I felt the needle move away, and the buzzing faded. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I opened my eyes and looked at my shoulder. I saw the pack tattoo on my arm. I honestly liked it. I was part of the pack. Jack still didn't let go of my hand, but I looked over at Harry. He smiled at me and took the needle and ink away. I turned back over to Jake and hugged him.
"You ok Bells?" Jake asked me, he seemed to be fairly calm.
"I'm great, I love this." I said, he seemed surprised. But it was true, I did love it, I loved my hair and the tattoo. I loved that I was a part of the pack. Jake smiled and helped me up. I wanted to phase and practice. I was excited to feel the wind.
"Want to practice phasing and running?" Jake asked me, as if he could read my thoughts. I smiled and nodded. I noticed Leah standing in the doorway a huge grin on her face. I grinned back.
"Welcome to the pack sister." She said before letting out a happy laugh. She walked over to the back door, me and Jake followed her. We walked to the tree line. Jake turned to look at me.
"Here Bells, tie your clothes around your leg so that when you phase back you don't need more clothes." Jake said, handing me a rubber band. I nod and follow Leah behind a tree. She goes behind a bush and I go behind a different bush. I take off my clothes and tie them around my leg. Then I realize I am not sure how to phase. I try to think about something that makes me angry. I thought about how Edward had left me broken. Then I felt the odd feeling, my bones shifting, breaking and being put back together. It hurt, I still wasn't used to it. Then I heard the others in my head. I did it! I had phased. I was a wolf now.
Jake - Hey Bells! Phase ok?
Just fine, who all is here?
Leah - There you are! Then I see a gray wolf bound towards me, barking playfully. I bark as Leah bounds into me, yipping happily. She runs into me and we tumble into a clearing. I see a russet wolf sitting in the field. Jake. Me and Leah get up and walk over to him.
This is still such a weird feeling. I say, it was only the second time I had walked on 4 legs. Jake lets out a bark that sounded like a laugh.
Jake - I'm going to call all the others, the meeting with the Cullens is in an hour. I realized that the sun was already setting.
Jake - Leah, help Bella practice running please. I notice Leah nod, it looks weird to see a wolf nodding. Then Jake lets out a loud howl, an alpha howl. A howl that calls the rest of the pack to phase. I feel a weird feeling when the others phase in.

Embry - Hey! Jake where are we meeting?
Jake - In a clearing, Leah is going to help Bella practice running. We are going to be discussing what we will be doing when we meet with the Cullens.
I hear all of them approve in their mind. Leah started running and told me to follower her. It felt incredible to run through the forest. So free. After running around with Leah for 50 something minutes, I was more graceful and felt better about being on 4 legs. Jake called us back to the clearing. It was already completely dark outside, but I could still see so much. As we arrived at the clearing, I saw 7 wolfs sitting in the clearing. Me and Leah walked over to them and sat down. I sat down next to Seth and Paul.
Jake - It's time, we are going over to their land. Seth, Jared, Paul, Quil and Embry, you guys will all go as wolfs. Leah, Sam and Bella your guys are with me in human form. Nobody think about Bella being a wolf, I will tell them. We all nod. We all start running towards the border, it stinks. The sickly sweet smell burns my nose. I let out a tiny whimper.
Sam - You get used to it.
We make it to the river that is the borders edge, everyone but me jump over the river. I am not sure if I can make it. But I walk back a few paces, then run as fast as I can and jump. I barely manage to make it across and tumble. Jake walked over to me and nudged me with his nose. Helping me up.

We keep running and then I see the big house in the distance. I whimper, nervous.
Jake - It's time, Leah, Sam and Bella go phase, I will to. I walk over behind a bush and think happy thoughts, I think about Jake and the pack. I start to phase back, but then I remember my nightmare, I get scared again and my calm thoughts evaporate.
Seth - You ok Bella?
I can't do it, I can't phase back. I think, upset at myself. The others try to help me phase back, by thinking about all the pack members. It doesn't work. Then I just decide to walk out from behind the bush, still in wolf form. I see Jake, Sam and Leah all looking at me.
"Bella, why couldn't you phase back?" Jake asked me, I just whimper. He walks over and strokes my fur. Then I notice Seth is gone. I see him running back in human form over to Jake.
"She is too worried, she can't phase back, even with our help." Seth said, a hint of sadness in his voice.
"Ok, Seth stay human, Bella you know that they will notice you are a new wolf." I nod. Still anxious. We walk over to the Cullens house. I see all the Cullens waiting outside. Everyone else walks forward, but I stay behind a tree not sure it I should show myself or not.
Sam - Bella it'll be fine.
I don't know.
Jared - Jake needs you.
That convinces me. I walk over to where all the others are standing looking at the Cullens. Their eyes all fall on me, confused. Edward looks the most confused.
"I see that you guys have a new member of the pack." Carlisle says curtly. Jake nodded.
"Yes, we do, but we are here to discuss the treaty." Jake said, knowing that Edward would figure it out soon.
"Who is it?" Edward asks trying to sound calm. Before Jake can answer Edwards face turns furious.
"I'm sure you can figure it out." Jake says calmly. Edward crouches ready to spring. I bared my teeth and growled.
"Where is Bella?!" Edward yells, Carlisle grabs his son's shoulders holding him there.
"She is safe, I promise." Jake says. Looking at me for a fraction of a second.
"Why can't I hear the new dog's thoughts?" Edward asks, he must either already know now, or he was piecing it together.
"I don't know, but we are not here to figure that out." Jake says, starting to get a bit frustrated.
"Thats BELLA!" Edward yells, launching himself towards Jake.
- Sorry for the cliffhanger! I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, I decided to write about Bella's full day. All pack members have to cut their hair and get the pack tattoo. I couldn't just forget about that important detail! I have been sick the past few days so I didn't get to write this chapter until today. I promise to write and post the next chapter soon!
