(A.N. - Play Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood - Opening Song 'Hologram' by NICO Touches the Walls. English cover by Y. Chang)
Masshiro na keshiki ni ima sasowarete
Boku wa yuku yo mada minu sekai e
(Draw me with a picture of a higher place I know
When the colour fades to white again is where I'll go)
The opening begins with a white background where the camera moves in at an angle towards the back of a monochrome Izuku, zooming on his his fist which he raises in a pose akin to All Might before the camera pans away to a shot of Violet.
The camera passes through her blowing hair as the shot transitions back to Izuku (now in colour) standing on the roof of a building in the same pose before the camera pans up towards the sky as the title fades in.
My Incredible Academia
Maigo no mama tabi shiteita
nezumiiro no sora no shita
(Grey-slated heather
The sky's got my back
Might be lost but I'm moving on)
We see Izuku's hero licence being twirled between his fingers before we zoom out to see him sitting with his back against a chair inside the building from the opening which is revealed to be a pseudo hero agency. The boy has a dreary look on his face which matches the rainy weather outside, his friends sitting around him with similar dull or disgruntled looks about them.
Higawari no chizu
ikutsumo no yume ga nijinde ita
(Whatever the weather
Dreams dot the map, when you see them I'll be gone)
But then, as Tenya looks out the window, he starts to smile and calls the others over to show them the rain has stopped and the sun is shining down on Nabu Island. The rest of 1A start getting to their feet, their spirits rising with the sun.
Itsuka wa sa
chippoke na boku no kono hohaba demo
(Red-light shrouds
Change everyday, but I'm sure it won't be long)
We then cut to two quick shots of Jack-Jack and Dash posing in their hero costumes followed by a third shot of the two of them alongside Violet posing with her brothers, the three Parrs smiling confidently.
The next shot is a closeup of Katsuki, wearing his usual savage grin, which zooms out to show him standing on top of a skyscraper before he's soon joined by the rest of his classmates.
Ano kumo no mukō made yukeru kana
(I know step by step I'll fly far beyond the highest clouds)
We then get a sweeping shot past several adult characters from behind, each one turning around as the camera passes them: Rick Dicker, who raises his hand which glows blue; Winston Deavour, who strokes his chin with a winning smile; his sister, Evelyn, looking up from a smartphone with a smirk of her own; Edna Mode, who blows out a puff of smoke from her cigarette holder before grinning and raising her hand with several glowing fibres emerging from her fingertips; Lucius, who smirks and conjures a ball of ice into his hand; Helen, who winks at the camera and folds her arms; Bob, who flexes his muscles, jerking his thumb to himself; and finally Aizawa, who tugs at his scarf as he activates his quirk.
Tsuyogatte
kizutsuita
kokoro sukashita you ni
(Always be strong
Never be wrong
That was all a front for my heart)
We then get three more parallel shots at sunset; Bob standing by with a sad look on his face; All Might in his skinny form turning his head to look at Bob; and lastly the two of them standing a few feet apart in front of a memorial in a cemetery.
Furidashita
amatsubutachi ga
(Empty as a well
Finally the raindrops fell)
The next shot is in a black void where we see Izuku, surrounded by smoke save for the top of his face and his limbs, reaching out towards someone as he's pulled away into the void, several glowing hands reaching out for his.
We then get a shot of Ochako sitting in her bedroom, who seems to be deep in thought as we then cut to her desk which shows a framed picture of her and Izuku, smiling shyly at each other in the formal clothes they wore on I Island.
Ranhansha kurikaesu
(Revived the dream and showed me where to start)
The next few shots are of the villains: the first is a silhouette of Dabi amongst the ruins of a burning building surrounded by his signature blue flames;
The second shot is silhouettes of Toga, Spinner, Mr Compress and Illusion on a roof at night, the former's grin can be seen in the dark as she brandishes her syringes, as can be Spinner's sword, Illusion's electric batons and Compress' marbles;
The third shot is a closeup of Twice's mask as several more clones of it materialise out of the darkness surrounding him;
The fourth shot is another closeup; this one of the mysterious masked villain, Screenslaver, who looks directly into the camera as their goggles light up in a hypnotic array of black and white;
The final shot is of Shigaraki who sits on a throne with his head on one hand as he holds up a strange device in the other which he then squeezes causing a flash of electricity to light up the room, casting the shadow of a screaming figure over him.
Massugu na hikari ga kousa shite
(Outta sight like rays of light and I am on my way)
We then cut to a battle with Bob and Helen against the Screenslaver along with another villain: The Underminer.
Bob slams his fists against the ground causing it to crack and uproot, forming obstructions to block the charging villains. The Underminer smashes his way through the rock with his pneumatic fists before colliding with Bob and forcing him back. Meanwhile, Helen is able to dodge a flying kick from Screenslaver before grabbing them by the leg and swinging them against one of the obstructions, shattering it to pieces.
Yukusaki mo tsugenu mama
dokomademo tsukinukeru
(Through the bluest moon and the darkest river
I'll go through it all and never fall astray)
The next fight shows Shoto conjuring a blast of fire which engulfs the frame before it's dispersed by Dabi who passes through the now blue flames with a crazed grin on his scarred face.
We then see what looks like a cyborg Nomu, fused with technology that looks vaguely similar to that of the Omnidroid. The abomination is on the attack until it's slapped from behind by Ochako removing its gravity and leaving it suspended in the air, before being stuck with several projectiles and a pair of jacks. It's then revealed to be Kaminari, Jiro and Momo are also fighting the monster, the latter armed with a crossbow full of conductive metal bolts.
Kaminari then unleashes his lightning whilst Jiro activates her shockwaves; the combined sound and electrical attacks shorting out the cyborgs mechanical parts before Ochako brings down an avalanche of rubble on its head.
Awai zanzō ryōme ni yakitsukete
(Burn the prize into my eyes and let the image play)
The fourth battle opens with a pair of blades clashing with a pair of fists, followed by an explosion, before the shot zooms out to reveal Illusion battling against Kirishima and Bakugou. The quirkless villain appears to be holding his own against the two young heroes, countering their attacks with his multipurpose weapons until Iida comes sprinting onto the scene to attack him with an overhead kick which he narrowly blocks.
Kono sora no shita donna toko ni ite mo
(For no matter where I am, forget the 'yes or no')
The final battle is a slow motion shot of Shigaraki, the severed hands of his costume missing and a bloodthirsty look on his face. He roars as he thrusts out his hand towards his enemy, which is none other than Izuku who strikes back with his own attack, his fist encased in what appears to be a purple bubble, before their two attacks collide resulting in a tremendous explosion of green and red light.
Todoku hazu nanda mada minu sekai e
(When the colour fades to white again I'll seize the day)
When the light fades we see Violet's eyemask resting in the palm of her hand as she closes her fingers around it. We then see her surrounded by the members of 1A as she puts the mask on and grins at them with her thumb up. They return the gesture before they all exit the agency together, heading off to their next mission as the camera once more pans up towards the sunlit sky and eventually into space, the stars of One For All shining over them.

Shigaraki drummed his fingers impatiently. It had been two days since the destruction of the Omnidroid and Syndrome's attempted kidnapping of Incredible's child, though Shigaraki couldn't begin to understand why.
Why risk all that for one snivelling baby? Sure, he understood the lust for vengeance all too well but if Syndrome had to, wouldn't it have made more sense for him to go after Incredible himself like he did before? He had come so close after all.
The villain shook his head. He couldn't know for certain, but it didn't matter at this point. The sound of a door opening interrupted his thoughts as he saw the League's resident scientist/doctor, Daruma Ujiko, enter the room.
"Shigaraki." He greeted his leader.
"Well?"
"I've stabilised him." Daruma answered. "However, at a great cost to the patient." Shigaraki creased his brow as he dreaded just how great of a cost Daruma was saying.
"How much?" He asked hoarsely as Daruma wiped his brow.
"The surgery wasn't easy. Kurogiri was lucky to save as much of him as he did given how quickly the incident occurred. His lower half was completely severed by the turbine and the explosion engulfed most of his left side before he was pulled through the warp-gate. I had to amputate the arm and remove a large amount of tissue from the burnt areas. And on top of that, I'm sorry to say he's comatose."
Shigaraki gripped the table he was sitting at crumbling it into dust. "So you're saying he's useless now! There's barely anything left of him and what isleft is all but a vegetable!"
"A-All is not lost, Shigaraki." Daruma tried to reassure him. "The reports show no serious damage to the brain, so he's likely to awaken from the coma and with little memory loss."
"What good is a brain without a body to support it? He'll never invent again with only one working hand."
"That's where you're wrong, Tomura Shigaraki." The pair turned their heads to see Kurogiri arriving to join them. "I took the liberty of returning to the island along with Illusion and Mr Compress before the American government could reach it. We retrieved most of Syndrome's data, weapons and tech so I'm sure the good Doctor can restore his body to a state befitting his capabilities. And it can only be improved upon by him once he awakens."
Daruma looked back to his leader as the man ran a hand through his hair. "Do what you can to rebuild him, Doctor. I want him awake and back on his feet again as soon as possible. Only he can provide us with more of that technology. And now that we've saved his life he owes it to us. Oh, and while you're at it, add something to make him more…cooperative this time, if you know what I mean."
The doctor nodded before leaving the room as Kurogiri spoke to Shigaraki. "But while we wait for his recovery, there's something else I've been meaning to inform you about. Something All For One wanted me to collect..."
As Shigaraki listened to the warp villain, Daruma returned to his lab which was now filled with many crates containing Syndrome's assets. The mad doctor rubbed his hands gleefully as he approached the mangled and burnt remains of a person laying on an operating table. An assortment of tubes and drips were attached to their heavily bandaged body, along with an oxygen mask strapped to their face; the steady beeping of a heart monitor echoed throughout the room.
"Rest well, Syndrome. For I'll remake you as the perfect weapon for our leader." Daruma grinned maniacally, his goggles shining.
