Jax woke with a yawn as he sat up and stretched in hid bed, doing his best to wake up fully to be ready for the day ahead. It had been three weeks since he started his tutoring that soon became study sessions with Jun and her twin sister Lin, the arctic fox could still hardly believe his luck at hitting such an unbelievable jackpot. What were even the odds of such a stroke of luck even happening? If he was an animal inclined to that kind of intelligence, he'd probably have some statistical number other than just the word astronomical.

That being said though, trouble maker and jokester that he was, being around the two vixens made him not want to view the situation that way most other guys would. Not that the temptation wasn't there, hell Jax doubted most guys wouldn't have the temptation to do so or try their luck. Well, most guys save for Shinoku, Sebastian, and Hassan…and Vega too admittedly. Jax also didn't view himself in that number either; sure he liked to press his luck, make light of everything, even joke about such things but he wouldn't go through with it, not really. The last thing Jax wanted to be was a scumbag jerk, he had seen what happens to those kind of guys and wanted NONE of that. No, he more fancied himself the lovable scamp and devil may care rogue with a...good enough nature and heart.

Plus, there was just something about Jun and Lin that just made him want to be not all that jokey about it around them. Sure they were hot...like...REALLY HOT, but from their talks and knowing the kind of rumors and reputations vixens tended to have due to their beauty he wasn't exactly about to play into what most would do and further subject them to unwanted cat calling and the like. After all, male foxes had their own reputation of sly tricksters that couldn't be trusted in any sense of the word lest you'd be taken advantage of or swindled blind. And while yeah, he did play a bit into that stereotype, it was more so because he wasn't about to let what other animals viewed foxes to be dictate how he behaved. That, and it was also a screw you to that very notion by just not giving ANY fucks and it was just plain fun.

Still, Jax couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to the sisters, something hidden and secretive that they didn't wish to be known. Sure they seemed as mischievous as he was, Jun's provocations were clear enough of that...and he liked a mischievous equal that challenged who could play who. But there was something else, something that felt dangerous...very dangerous, although he'd be lying if he said that wasn't alluring as well. It was the way they inquired about Shin, pressed him about talking about their misadventure to the back alley to rescue Anya, they seemed quite interested in the details about that.

Whatever it was that they were hiding they still seemed genuine in everything else, they were fun to be around and seemed to genuinely enjoy being around him. Sure the teases, the mild flirts, and even the reward of a kiss on the cheek could have all been a ploy, but they certainly didn't feel that way, especially since it had become quite the routine of somewhat snuggling up during study sessions. If all they were after was info on Shin, then why persist in things and continue to be so friendly? Whatever it was that they were keeping secret it had to be something that could potentially get the in big trouble, which just made them all the more alluring. And whatever that thing might be...he wanted in on it to.

After all, what was the harm in a little not so rule following fun here and there? Or even...often so long as no one that shouldn't be hurt by it got hurt by it? Shinoku and the others had the live by the rules covered anyway. Well. The others and somewhat Shinoku, but that was besides the point as the arctic wolf was still not really one to want to do anything that was not in some way justifiable or the like. But as for Jax himself, what point was there in living life if you didn't live it to the most exciting and fun, getting the fullest out of it that was the most enjoyable?

"You gonna get out of bed sleeping beauty?" Vega asked as he poked his head through the bed curtains with a smirk.

"Gee, I dunno, I was thinking about taking a sabbatical for my health." Jax joked.

Vega rolled his eyes slightly. "You know I could just have Hassan drag you out...the hard way."

"He wouldn't do that." Jax said with a dismissive wave.

"Yes I would." Came Hassan's voice.

Jax blinked. "But Seba-"

"I would let him." Sebastian interrupted.

"Well now I just feel attacked." Jax mock grumbled. "And what happened to you being my partner in crime hmm?" He added as he shot Vega a look.

"Only within reason dude." Vega answered. "Sure I might go along with a lot and have done so, but now that I've got Sheila I kinda want to stick to the whole cool smart ass thing."

Jax sighed as he crossed his arms. "I suppose I can't blame ya there. I mean, after being around Jun and Lin I have gotten a bit more responsible about studying and tone down my jokes around them slightly." He admitted.

"Speaking of, you ever gonna introduce us to these vixen sisters?" Vega asked. "I'm starting to wonder if you're just trying save face that you're stuck with some guy or something."

"I'm just happy that he's actually shown improvement." Came Sebastian's voice.

"They're real." Jax insisted. "I'm just trying to do this right, get to the right place to introduce you to them when they'd like to."

"Uh huh." Vega remarked.

Jax narrowed his eyes slightly. "Need I remind you of how long it took YOU to get around to Sheila or that Anya had to-"

"Point taken." Vega interrupted. "Now are you gonna get your ass out of bed or am I going to have to join Hassan in getting you out."

"Yeah ,yeah, I'm getting up." Vega said as he moved to slide out of his bunk while Vega made way for him to do so.

"I assume you're going to be once again meeting up with Jun and Lin to continue helping your studies?" Sebastian inquired.

"Yeah, but don't worry I'll bring up if they want to meet you guys." Jax remarked. "I'm just wanting to first see about securing the bag of potentially getting to date twins."

Sebastian and Hassan rolled their eyes. "Seriously?" Hassan asked.

"I really feel the opportunity's there, I just want to get a good read of things, see where they might go, THEN introduce you to them." Jax replied. "Whether it's both or just one, I'm not going to complain, Both are...nice."

Sebastian arched a brow as a slight smirk formed on his face. "Do I detect the, making a more well behaved and honest animal out of you?"

"Please." Jax scoffed as he waved dismissively. "I just want to show em that I'm not one of those guys and that I can be respectable enough. Besides, they seem to have a bit of a mischievous side to em as well that I like."

"We'll see." Hassan remarked. "Anyway, you better get ready."

"Yeah, yeah." Jax remarked as he went to get ready for school.

When Jax had finished getting ready he joined the others and headed down to the first floor and out of the male carnivore dorm, bidding farewell to Vega as he left to meet Shinoku, Anya, and Sheila at the female carnivore dorm. The arctic fox still couldn't believe Shinoku's luck even after how much time had passed, the fact that Anya was willing to let him and wanted him to stay the night with her was...well, not entirely a thing of luck. After all, it wasn't out of the ordinary for girls to want to sneak their boyfriends into the female dorms and visa versa. It was more so the fact that after all these months they had not gotten caught once and gotten in trouble. Granted, he was relieved that they didn't when Shinoku needed to be with her during the Otis incident, it was just that there was just a bit of jealousy about it. Not much, just a little, he was still very happy for Shinoku and glad that the arctic wolf had been having a string of good things happen.

And yet, despite all of that, after meeting Jun and Lin and then spending the evenings and early nights with them on a regular basis for the past few weeks...he wasn't exactly in a rush to get to that point with them. Not that he was fully in a rush to get there even before he had met Jun and her sister, he might joke and insinuate, even be eager, but he wasn't about to be a sleazebag jerk...not by several country miles. He might be bad in calculating odds at times and even tempt fate a bit, but he was definitely no dumb ass. He had seen enough examples of sleazebags and crappy guys around girls and seeing the results to know that was one thing he'd avoid being like it was a lethal disease. Still, would anyone blame him for at least wanting to appreciate when he saw an attractive girl?

As they got the main school building Jax said goodbye to Sebastian as he and Sebastian went off to their first class. "You were just kidding about that whole getting me out of bed the hard way right?" Jax asked as they walked.

Hassan glanced at him. "Would Shinoku?"

"…Fair point." Jax admitted.

"Besides, I'd only throw you at an angle where your ass would hit the ground first if you didn't get out after my first warning." Hassan said with a smirk.

"My ass huh?" Jax asked.

"Seemed like the least needed thing that could go with being hurt." Hassan quipped.

"And I thought Vega was the smart ass." Jax commented with a dismissive carefree tone.

"Can't let Vega have all the fun." Hassan remarked.

The two shared a chuckle before continuing on to their first class, both Hassan and Jax getting to their alphabetically assigned seats when they entered. While he still wasn't overly keen on classes and found them a bit boring, Jax still wasn't about to risk falling behind the rest of his friends. Not only that, but ever since he met Jun and Lin he felt more of a determined to do better regardless of how he felt. The way Jun and Lin carried themselves and seemed to take their studies seriously made Jax want to as well. They might be as, if not more, mischievous as him and might be hiding something on top of that. But the vixens were something...special, unique even, and the arctic fox found himself not only drawn to them but wanting to prove he could be something that they could find interest in as well.

Thankfully the class went by fast enough and despite Jax's uncaring for being in a boring lecture room listening to a teacher the arctic fox found himself not...disliking the classes like he used to, more so finding them boring than outright hating them. He wasn't loving them or anything, but more so just found himself not being bored to death anymore and tolerating them. Still, he wasn't really going to complain about them anymore, or doing studying...especially if it involved Jun and her sister. Hell, they might even get him to like this kind of stuff well enough if either decided to pursue such. Of course, given Lin's wanting to be a psychologist, that was unlikely, Although that did mean that she and likely Jun would pursue university. Great...looks like he was going to want to pursue that now. Oh well, there were worst fates than being in the same university as two vixens...if he got lucky, just meant he's have to try a bit harder.

The rest of the morning classes went by fast enough, each class seemingly as not as bad to get through as the last one, much to Jax's relief. Before the arctic fox knew it lunch had come and gone and so had the rest of the day's classes leaving only his after school club before having to meet up with the sisters for their usual study session. Between Manga club and study time with Jun and Lin, Jax actually found t rather hard to say which one he looked forward to the most. Sure he loved manga and the Manga club was always fun with never a dull meeting of discussing the latest volumes of certain manga or upcoming ones and even recommending new ones those in the club were reading. But there was just something, fun and exciting about being around Jun and Lin, especially with how his heart raced a bit faster around them. Although ultimately he knew the smart answer, and the one he'd pick just because they made it fun and challenging, was being around Jun and Lin.

When Manga club had ended Jax made his way as he had for the past few weeks since it was agreed upon to the female carnivore's dorm, making his way up to the floor their room after he made it into the dorm. While Shinoku and Anya might have to sneak around and try not to get him caught Jax didn't really have that issue of having the female students or the dorm mother see him since he had the excuse of being "tutored", although that had now just become study sessions. At least, that would be the case for now. Sure he could maybe still use it if things progressed as he hoped between him and the vixens, but it might still be a risk to a degree even if they kept up the study sessions. Oh well, that would just have to be an issue tackled by future Jax if it came. As he made it to their room Jax knocked as always, hearing that same giggling and noises he'd sometimes here that made him think things before being told it'd be a minute.

"Hello Jax, prompt as usual I see, gotten pretty good at that." Jun said with a smile after opening the door.

"Good to see you Jax." Lin remarked as she rested her head on Jun's shoulder. "You've not missed a day."

"How could I not want to be around you two?" Jax smirked. "You make learning fun and, well, if I have to be honest...I just like being around two vixens I see as being the most interesting and, if you don't mind me saying, lovely girls bar none."

The two vixens giggled a bit as they looked at him. "Aren't you being rather charming." Jun remarked as she smiled. "Wouldn't you say so Lin?"

"I would indeed Jun, he's being rather charming." Lin agreed. "I do appreciate the compliment and the fact you're being, and have been, genuine and upfront with us. It shows a great deal of character, it's not often that a self proclaimed troublemaker is so genuine." She added. "Although, from my studies, it would not be unheard of."

"Yes, he hasn't really shown much in terms of that other than claims, has he?" Jun smirked. "Although do give him credit, he was willing to come to our room."

"Fair." Lin noted.

"I'm just trying to not be a jerk to you." Jax remarked. "Any other guy would be trying his hardest and pushing his luck, but you girls don't deserve that, you deserve better because you are better. And to be fair, you haven't really given me any challenges to prove my worth, I much prefer you two come up with something so it'd be more fair and you can believe my claims. If I chose something, you'd just think I picked something I knew I could easily do or get away with,"

The two vixens blushed a bit at Jax's surprising gentlemen remark before smiling more at him. "Fair enough." Jun said. "Me and Lin will see if we can think of something while we study."

"Fair, I'll take any challenge, just to prove I can keep up with whatever you two can do, nothing's really off limits." Jax declared.

"Is that so?" Lin asked as her smile grew a bit more devilish. "I do like a man with confidence. You think you can back that up?"

"I'd be willing to, for you two, and not because of some macho man pride thing." Jax asserted.

Both vixens smiled as they blushed a bit more. "Very well then, I think we can have something for you to do by the time we're done." Lin remarked.

"And who knows, if you do well enough, you might impress us enough to potentially get a VERY good reward." Jun said with a smirk. "Now come on, we do have studying to get to." She added as she and Lin cleared the doorway.

"Right." Jax said as he entered, Jun, shutting the door behind him.

As had become the norm with Jax and the sisters a few days after his initial tutoring, the arctic fox went about getting his books out before he and Jun got comfortable as Lin went about her own studies. It wasn't long before Lin eventually joined the two after a bit of time passed, the three getting rather comfortable as the two vixens rested against either side of the arctic fox. And while most would assume would let such distract him or that he'd take advantage of such, they would be proven wrong as he stayed rather focused. Not that he wasn't tempted to a degree, but Jax wasn't THAT tempted. Well, he kind of was, but he was hellbent on being the kind of fox that Jun and Lin could like and want to be around...whatever that might entail given his slight suspicions of them having something else behind their mischievous attitudes.

The three made idle talk as Jun and Lin helped Jax with his studies and they went over things together for their classes, making idle talk as they did as they mainly talked about their day like most of the time and other things. Jax would sometimes ask about their parents and family, but he never truly pressed about what exactly their aunt did...or what they helped her with. He wasn't a fool despite how some of his antics and jokes might come of, not by a long shot. He was curious about what exactly they did for their aunt and who she was, but if it was anything that was tied to their curiosity towards Shinoku then he had to play this REALLY smart, not press too much less he off put them. Especially since he did genuinely have a thing for them, Jax just hoped that their interest in Shinoku's escapade into the back alley wasn't anything bad and was just genuine curiosity, which could seem the case considering they had since asked innocent stuff like what his other friends were like and what Shinoku and Anya's relationship was like.

And by bad, he meant being somehow tied to the authorities and being used to potentially get info. Sure, the authorities weren't necessarily bad, but the repercussions of them knowing might be. There was also the possibility of them being tied to some gang that might be tied to Otis as well; but given the fact it had been a while since he told them that seemed unlikely. The only other possibility would be just being tied to the back alley in some way via just some unrelated gang that was just curious, which somewhat ironically seemed similar to Sebastian's own ties. Which, if they were tied to the back alley in someway...that's actually be pretty cool, and hot.

Before Jax knew it it was getting late, the arctic fox blinking as he noticed the time on his phone. "Huh, seems like time just flies when I'm with you two." he remarked with a slight smile. "Guess I should be heading back to the guys."

"It seems so." Lin remarked as she looked at her own phone. "It is quite fun having you around."

"Yeah." Jun agreed before smirking. "Although I'm surprised you've yet to try to ask if you could stay over, and here I thought you might be a bad boy." She teased. "In fact, you actually haven't done all that much in trying to get another kiss from us."

"Not quite my style." Jax remarked with a slight grin. "Besides, haven't I already said that I feel you two deserve someone who recognizes how one of a kind you two are? Any guy would be lucky to be able to date one of you, let alone two." He added. "Besides, I'm in no real rush to really catch up to what Shin's managed to do, he deserves to have that kind of thing with everything he's gone through.

Jun and Lin blushed a bit at his compliment before smiling as they exchanged glances before each gave him a respective kiss on the cheek. "Well aren't you the sweetest, and a good friend." Lin commented.

"Perhaps all your bluster about being a trouble maker is just that and you're really just a sweet guy." Jun remarked before smirking. "Or maybe this is just some ploy of yours just to make us think that so we'd feel like you deserve a reward." She teased.

"Please, I might be one to chase trouble, but I'm not about to do something like that." Jax scoffed as he continued to grin. "I rather fancy myself the dashing rogue."

The two vixens giggled. "Dashing you say?" Lin remarked. "Do you see it Jun?"

"Hmmm….I'm not so sure." Jun replied. "Doesn't really seem roguish either, still might be all talk." She added.

"Well I did say you two could tell me what I could do to prove myself, I meant it when I said I'm more than willing to do so." Jax pointed out.

"Hmm…" Jun thought before looking at her sister who returned the contemplative look. "Give us a moment and we'll think of something." She said as she looked back at Jax.

"Alright, I'm in no real rush." Jax replied as he leaned back a bit.

"This shouldn't take long." Lin assured as she and her sister stepped out of the room and seemingly walked a bit away.

Jax blinked as he watched the two leave the room, wondering just what the two vixens would come up with for him to prove himself. It might have been a slight bit odd that they stepped out and elsewhere for the private discussion of what they'd come up with, but it also wasn't that odd if they wanted it to be a complete surprise so he wouldn't overhear and possibly have time to measure a reaction to the challenge. Not only that, but they did also kind of just left him in their room, so it might just or also be a test of trustworthiness. And if that was at least part of what they were going to have him do, then he wasn't going to let them down...not that he would if it wasn't.

"Alright, I think we have come up with something." Jun said as she and Lin came back into their room about five or so minutes later.

"Oh, what?" Jax asked as he looked at them curiously.

"We can't tell you everything now, but what we can tell you is that it involves proving your claims of willingly sneaking out." Lin explained. "We have a bit of a...excursion we want to go on Friday night and we'd figured it'd be a good test for your claims."

"So a Friday night sneak out eh?" Jax asked as he laid his arms behind his head. "I assume the rest will be revealed Friday night? Can I at least assume that it might involve some things that could very much get us in a fair bit of trouble?" He grinned.

"That might be a fair guess." Jun replied with a smirk.

"I knew I liked you two, count me in then." Jax replied with as his grin grew wider. "It's been far too long since I did anything like that and it's become quite the itch that needs scratching."

The two vixens giggled. "We'll see, you still need to show up." Jun remarked.

"Oh, I'll be there." Jax said as he continued to grin.

"We're also putting a fair bit of trust in you by telling you just that, you could easily let the faculty know and prevent us from even sneaking out." Lin said before smirking. "But I have a feeling based on my read of you that you won't."

"You're definitely going to make one hell of a psychologist." Jax remarked before getting up and gathering his things. "Well I better be going, see you guys tomorrow and looking forward to Friday night. Speaking of night, have a good one." He added as he started out the door.

"Good night Jax." Lin smiled.

"See you tomorrow." Jun replied with her own smile.

After Jax left the room the two Jun locked the door, looking to Lin with a smile as her tail swayed, only for Lin to look at her sister with a slightly concerned smile. "Are you still sure this will be a good idea?" Lin asked. "Don't get me wrong, he definitely seems like the fun type and as we've agreed, but I just don't really want to get him in too much trouble or anything." The vixen said as she moved to sit on the end of their bed.

"I'm sure he'll do fine Lin." Jun assured as she moved to sit next to her sister, wrapping an arm around Lin as she rested her head on Lin's shoulder. "We both agreed that there's something interesting about the guy and that he definitely has a quality to him that we both like. Sure at first it might have been to just get some info for our aunt while we were here, but he's grown on me and I know he has you too. We both have admitted we like how he both rises to our challenges while still treating us with more respect than a lot of other boys have." She added. "Plus, if he did help out Shinoku during the attack to save Anya I'm sure he can hold his own."

"Still…" Lin sighed. "He's kind of hard to really figure out." She admitted. "Sure he can say this or that, but what if it's all talk? What if my reads on him aren't as accurate?"

"I'm sure they are Lin, he said they were and he's been upfront and genuine with us from the get go. Plus, you've not really been wrong so far thanks to your studies." Jun encouraged as she gave her sister an affectionate nuzzle.

"But if we do this, allow ourselves to get a bit more entangled with him, allow ourselves the opportunity to pursue someone we both agree on, that means we can't exactly keep who our aunt is and what we help her with secret. Hell, we're practically telling him with what we'll be doing Friday." Lin pointed out. "And you know our aunt's rules, how she has things structured, that there's never been a-"

"I know, I know." Jun interrupted, pecking Lin's cheek. "She's had things the way they were ever since before she was in charge or part of them. That they are the way they are to keep vixens like you and I or any others like those stuck in bad areas that choose to join safe from being taken advantage of, prayed upon, or looked down on because of the stigma that's associated with vixens."

"A dumb and outdated stigma that has as much basis as any other fairy tail." Lin muttered.

"Yeah." Jun remarked as she nuzzled her sister more. "But it does give us the opportunity to show those other groups that power and authority aren't exclusively for a boys club, that females can also run things and be just as feared and fierce in doing so."

"True, it is fun to show all those guys that they should be fearing us more so than each other." Lin smirked as she kissed Jun's cheek.

"It is." Jun giggled. "The excitement and thrill of helping out our aunt is second to none, I'll never quite understand why mom dropped out."

"Well she couldn't exactly have stayed and raised us without any risk." Lin pointed out. "How else could she make sure that we were able to get a good education and be able to have the opportunity we do now?"

"True, but she always could have went back to some capacity, she would have been welcomed back and helped if needed." Jun countered.

"Fair, but at the same time I can see why she didn't, best for making sure no one came after us when we weren't able to defend ourselves or she wasn't around or anyone else who could protect us." Lin commented. "At least she was willing to not hide her past from us and even train us, allowing us to join if we wanted to."

"Yeah." Jun smiled as she leaned back onto the bed fully, pulling Lin with her as she snuggled her sister. "And I'm grateful for that, this kind of life is fun. I'm not quite sure I'd really want to ever give it up. Sure I might want to teach or whatever, maybe get a job in the local government, but I'd love to either just take over for auntie if she needs to step down or stay on as my work would make for a good cover. What about you?" Jun asked as she kept her head rested against Lin.

"It is fun…" Lin admitted as she idly rubbed her sister's side. "I'm not sure if I'd really want to give it up either, even if I'm able to get my dream job as a psychologist. It's like you said, it would be a great cover for continuing to be doing what we do."

"Exactly." Jun smiled.

"But again, what about Jax?" Lin asked. "How are we going to handle being able to see where things go with him, allow him to be able to be around us more, and help out?"

"I'm sure we'll think of something, or I will, or I will and then you will refine it like you tend to do from time to time." Jun assured as she pecked the side of Lin's neck. "If need be, could just have to come down to a simple challenge to where he gets to be more involved if we win."

"I suppose." Lin admitted. "But do we really want to get him more involved?"

"You're the up and coming psychologist, does he really feel like the kind of guy who WOULDN'T want to be involved in such things?" Jun retorted.

"...Fair point, he does definitely have all the markers of someone who would, even with the anachronistic areas that seem at odds with those markers like his genuineness and how nice he's been to us." Lin relented.

"Then it's settled then?" Jun asked.

"Yeah, I'd say it's settled." Lin agreed. "He does seem like someone who'd be worth exploring this path for and seeing where things would go." She added as she kissed Jun's head.

"He does indeed." Jun agreed with a smile. "I just wonder how far he will be willing to go and just how well he'll be able to keep up with us." She mused.

"Only one way to find out." Lin remarked simply. "I just hope he'll be able to, he seems like he has the capability and resolve."

"Yeah." Jun nodded. "Just think of all the fun the three of us can have if he's able to, not that I'm saying it just being you and me is boring or anything, you could never be boring." She said as she nuzzled Jun's neck.

Lin giggled a bit as she gently squeezed Jun. "I know, and neither could you." She cooed. "But you are right, the idea of all the fun could have with him in tow, it is very exciting." The vixen agreed with a giggle.

"Glad we're on the same page then like always." Jun smiled as she squeezed Lin back.

"So, what now?" Lin asked as she looked at Jun.

"Look forward to Friday, end the night with a bit of fun." Jun replied with a mischievous grin as she suddenly positioned herself on top of Lin, pinning her slightly to the bed as she looked down at her.

Lin giggled as she blushed, looking up at Jun, her tail swaying and ears flicking before her tail wrapped around the other vixen's. "So our usual end of day fun with the addition of excitement for our adventure with Jax."

"Yup." Jun grinned as she got in close to Lin.

"You're so incorrigible." Lin grinned widely.

"And you love it." Jun teased with a low, playful voice.

"Yes, yes I very much do." Lin admitted with half lidded eyes as she turned the tables on Jun, her mind not only on the fun they were about to have, but on just what might happen when they sneak out with Jax Friday. She just hoped, as she knew Jun was, that Jax could be a fine addition to their misadventures and that he could handle their speed. After all, she and Jun found him very...appealing after all the time they spent with him and how he had shown them the kind of fox he was.
