Based on an episode which we have seen and it involves what the McBride's have in their house, something that will make them panic and need help on how to fix it. I wanna say thanks to "Marvelomac1010" for the concept to this chapter and many more to come. Enjoy reading this guys.

Chapter 649: A flowering orchid problem…

(July 02. McBride Residence. Royal Woods Michigan.)

Here we see Lincoln Lewis and Jordan Rosato walking towards the house and they did greet Lola and Lana who drove by on Lola's car. Jordan then asks. "So, what the heck does Clyde need help with?"

"I honestly don't know Jordan" replied Lincoln. "All I do know is that the text message seemed serious, and thankfully I don't have any plans today and the rest of my family are doing their own thing."

Just then the front door opens and they see the cats from the McBride's; Cleopawtra and Nepurrtiti. They are allowed inside and they see the situation. "What in the heck is going on here?"

They see Chloe trying to comfort Clyde and before Chloe can explain, Clyde does. "My dad's orchid is destroyed and dead!" this surprises them and they see the dead flower in the pot.

Jordan does look closely at the flower. 'Hang on a minute. Why have I seen that flower before?'

Clyde then explains to them all about the flower. "This is a rare Eternal Love orchid and back when my dad's first met Harold presented this flower to Howard and he loved it. Thus this flower became the symbol of their love for each other and it's been with us ever since."

"When this flower blooms it is a rare occasion and my dad Howard cries tears of pure joy. This is truly the prize possession of my dad's love and I freaking killed it!" Chloe rubs his back and tries to calm him down. "I am supposed to water it ever 12 hours, but then I accidentally knocked over the water can and…"

"You gave the orchid too much water and it died?" asked Lincoln. Clyde nervously nods and then Lincoln thinks about this. "We need to know where we can find this kind of flower became judging by how it looks, we might not find it in any flower shops in town."

Clyde almost freaks out hearing this but then Jordan intervenes. "Guys, I know this flower. I saw it on TV and they're usually located at a swamp somewhere in Michigan north from Camp Mastodon." This surprises them. Clyde feels like fainting but Jordan speaks again.

"But, I have also seen one here in Royal Woods!" this shocks them. "Located at Tall Timbers Park on the far side of the lake within the woods, I know because my dad and I went fishing and we drifted off there and saw the orchids and didn't seem to bother them. Those orchids are the eternal love orchids!"

Lincoln is surprised and same with Clyde and Chloe. "How the heck did those orchids even adapt to living here? I mean, there isn't even a large swamp in Royal Woods."

"I don't know either" replied Jordan. "Now come on, let's get to the Park and get the orchid." Clyde grabs the pot but he does leave a fake orchid behind and they all head out.

(Tall Timbers Park.)

Walking along the edge of the lake shore are Lincoln, Jordan, Clyde and Chloe. They then see something incredible and Jordan smiles. "And there they are, just like how we saw them."

They are in awe at seeing so many of these Eternal Love Orchids. Clyde is at a loss for words. "Whoa! There's so many of them, but which one do I pick?"

Lincoln is confused when he said that. "Clyde, they all look the same and…" they then hear rustling at the bushes. "Something is here!" they stand fast and Beldum readies to attack.

Then they see that someone comes through the blushes and it's Harold McBride. This surprises the otherw and Clyde. "What the heck? Dad?! What are you doing here?"

Harold then explains. "I found the Eternal Love Orchid in the house was a fake and I assume that someone broke in and stole it, some guard cats they were and so I came here to get an orchid. I would usually go to the swamps North of Michigan but then I found out that there are orchids here."

Chloe is confused. "Wait, how did you know the also grow here?"

Harold explains. "Amanda Bright informed me. She told me when she was doing a cover story for the Royal Woods Gazette about the new flowers growing in Royal Woods." They did not see that one coming. Then he asks. "Wait. What are you kids doing here?"

Lincoln, Jordan and Chloe look towards Clyde and he has no other choice but to tell the truth. "Dad, the Orchid wasn't stolen. I accidentally knocked over some water on it and it died. So we came here to replace it and Jordan was the one who knew about the flowers being here."

Jordan then mentions. "Saw these when I went fishing with my dad." She then pets the head of Chikorita which is also living here.

This surprises Harold but then he smiles. "Clyde honey, don't feel so bad because… I sometimes end up killing the orchid too." This shocks them and Harold nods and he explains. "You see sometimes I can be a bit clumsy and it ends with the orchid taking the heat. So I always go out to find a new orchid which is far away and I come back on time before Howard even knows it's missing."

This surprises them and that means this is not the first time the orchid has met an accidental death, and that means this is not the original orchid from when Harold and Howard first met. Clyde then speaks. "It's alright dad. I totally understand, and I won't tell dad about this and…"

"There's no need boys." They see Howard show up and he has a photo camera. "Heard everything from the other side of the bushes. You all didn't even know I was here." Truth be told, Beldum did and just didn't know if he should tell the others.

Harold and the others are surprised, but then Howard speaks. "Everyone calm down, look I am not upset about the orchid and the many times it's perished by accident. Though, I am surprised you both went beyond the borders just to get a new one, and that warms my heart how much you care." Then he calms down and explains even further. "But to be honest, I don't think we should get another one."

This confuses them. "Wait, say what now?"

Harold then asks. "But Howie? That flower, I thought it meant so much to you even when it bloomed and all the times you tended to it."

Howard explains to them. "Yes, I liked it. I loved it back then, but now I just like it and also that flower is a high maintenance job to do where I ended up circling my entire schedule around it 24/7 365." That part makes it sound like torture and now Lincoln, Jordan and Chloe see where this is going.

Clyde then asks. "But wait, what about those times where you cried every time it bloomed?"

Howard looks sternly to the orchid. "Those… Were not… Tears… Of joy… Because, I am now free from dealing with the needs from the flower, and also spilling a can of water doesn't kill it, spilling it twice in one day could." They then question why the flower looked dead when they arrived.

(Wanna know the truth? So, before everyone woke up in the morning, the McBride cats were wandering around the kitchen, that they knocked over a glass of water left on the table and it hits the plant, and so they put the glass in the sink and pretend nothing happened.)

Howard then continues to speak. "Also, I don't need that orchid to be the symbol of our love, when I have you Hare bear and you Clyde, our little angel." They then share a hug. "Plus, we can just come here and see the orchids growing." That they can agree on.

Lincoln, Jordan and Chloe are glad that this is over, and that whatever the heck was really going on was a total misunderstanding of a series of strange events. Jordan then asks Lincoln. "Linc, you're not gonna get a special flower for the symbol of our love are you?"

"Heck no" replied Lincoln. "After hearing what they've been through, I don't think we need a flower to show how much our love is eternal." Chloe is also thinking about this and she too doesn't want a high maintenance flower to symbolize her love with Clyde.

Then Howard speaks. "Also, if you wanna know how these orchids are living here, well Amanda Bright told me that the place was renovated by FutureTech and they had these orchids planted here, and thanks to some of the Pokémon in the area, have helped maintain and pollinate them." Now that makes so much sense.

A/N: Problem solved, and also pretty much as we expected but changed compared to the episode involving the orchid and not going to deal with a dangerous swamp somewhere in Michigan. I do hope that you all enjoyed reading this new chapter everyone.
