"Hey Ash," Brandon said to Ash, as Ash entered inside of the control room of the Battle Pyramid. "What can I do for you?"

"Well, yesterday Amber gave me a tour of this place," Ash said. "And I got to say, it's really amazing."

"Well, thank you, Ash," Brandon said. "The Battle Pyramid is my home, my work place, my research center. It's everything to me."

"You've got a nice home, I'll give you that," Ash said. "But anyway. I've seen that you have a Fossil Restoration machine in the fossil room. I'm assuming its working, right?"

"Naturally," Brandon said. "It took a lot of time, and money, but I was able to get my hands on one. It comes very handy to revive the fossils I find during my expeditions."

"I was actually wondering if you could revive some fossils for me." Ash asked.

"Of course I will, Ash," Brandon said with a smile. "I owe you a lot for saving my Pokémon, and stopping Regigigas, and Hunter J."

"Don't worry about it," Ash waved it off. "But I really need to get rid of these fossils, and not carry them with me."

"How many do you have?" Brandon asked.

"I've got four," Ash said. "And Lillie has one."

Brandon nodded. "Well, it takes 24 hours to revive one fossil," Brandon said. "The machine can only revive one at the time, so it will take five days and nights to revive five fossils."

"I figured as much," Ash sighed. "But, I guess we better wait for five day before continuing our journey, then to carry the fossils with us."

"Well, you are gonna have to go to Lake Acuity, so you won't have to stay here, and wait," Brandon said. "You can leave the fossils, and I could take them to you once they are revived."

Ash raised his eyebrows. "Why would I go to the Lake Acuity?" Ash asked Brandon.

Brandon looked surprised at Ash's question. "Didn't Lillie tell you?" He asked.

"About what?" Ash asked.

"Well, yesterday when you and Amber were away, Reggie brought it up that he would want to see a full battle between you, and Paul," Brandon said, and Ash immediately narrowed his eyes.

"Please tell me Lillie didn't accept it in my name?" Ash asked.

"She didn't," Brandon said. "She said that you would probably refuse, as you don't see Paul as your rival. Then she said that you mentioned it to her and Paul one time that they could be rivals. So, Reggie asked her to battle against Paul in a full battle, and she accepted.

"They agreed to have a battle near the Pokémon Center at Lake Acuity, 10 days from now."

Ash groaned when he heard this. "Great," he said. "How did she get roped into this?"

"What's the problem," Brandon asked? "I think that it's a great idea. It would help both of them, and their Pokémon, if they have that kind of battle."

"I really don't like Paul," Ash admitted. "He's really hard to be around."

Brandon smiled. "Yeah," he said. "I've noticed. But he isn't a bad guy. He just… kind of took a path which he thinks is right. He really didn't like it when I defeated his brother all those years ago. Then to top it off, Reggie quit being a trainer after that."

"I know the story," Ash said. "I told Reggie that he has made a mistake when he quit. It doesn't matter that he lost, he should have gone forward, and got better."

"Maybe," Brandon shrugged. "But, he's a breeder now, from what I've heard, and he seems to like his job."

Ash shrugged. "If you say so."

"So, what are you going to do now," Brandon asked?

"I think I'll just wait here for the fossils to be revived," Ash said. "Lake Acuity isn't that far from here. We can get there in three days on foot."

"There is a train going there from the Snowpoint City," Brandon said. "You'll be there in less than a day."

Ash nodded. "Great," he said. "Even better."

"Where are the fossils," Brandon asked? "I can have the first start the revival right now."

"I'll go and get them," Ash said. "I'll also have Lillie bring her'."

Brandon nodded. "Bring them directly to the fossil room." He said.

Ash nodded, as he exited the control room.

Ash was lying on the grass right beside the Lake Acuity.

He has arrived there two days ago, along with Lillie, and Dawn. Surprisingly, Amber also wanted to come with him, and see the battle between Lillie and Paul. As such, she was also there, with Anabel.

The five of them have arrived on Lake Acuity from the Snowpoint city, via a train, just like Brandon recommended. They've arrived there after spending five days on the Battle Pyramid, while waiting for the fossils to be revived.

Ash wasn't really surprised by the Pokémon he, and Lillie got. He already knew that his Dome, Root, Claw, and Armor fossils will be revived into a Kabuto, Lileep, Anorith, and Shieldon. He also knew which fossil Lillie had. She didn't though, so she was really surprised when she saw which is was. She was shocked at first, but then she was over the moon.

With the fossils revived, there was no longer any need to stay at the Battle Pyramid, and since Lillie had a match scheduled against Paul, they left the Battle Pyramid, went back to the Snowpoint City, and from there, boarded the train for the Lake Acuity.

They arrived by the end of the day, which was the seventh day after the match was scheduled, thus, there were three days left until the battle.

Two days have passed since then, and those were two days Ash has spent training with his Pokémon. There really was nothing better to do.

Just as he trained with his Pokémon, so did Lillie; in preparation for her match against Paul. She was being helped preparing by Amber, and Anabel, who have decided to help Lillie train, and have few battles, here and there.

As for Dawn, she also trained, but she trained alone, and with her new Pokémon. A Pokémon which Ash gave her.

Of the four Pokémon Ash revived from the fossils, he thought about what to keep. He really didn't need all four at this stage of his traveling through Sinnoh, so he thought of what to do with them. The answer came quickly.

Dawn loves Steel, and Ground Type Pokémon. Shieldon is part Steel Type, thus, he gave it to her.

She was overjoyed.

That left Kabuto, Lileep, and Anorith. All three are part rock type, thus, he decided to send them to May. He figured she will make a better use of them, then he would.

Naturally, Lillie kept her new Pokémon. There was simply no way in hell anyone is separating her from her Amaura.

As he was lying on the grass, looking at the clear sky; Ash dozed off.

- Dream –

Ash was being held by his hands by Amber, and Anabel, as they are dragging him through the Snowpoint City.

"Where exactly are you dragging me?" Ash asked the two girls.

"You are taking us on a date, of course." Amber said.

"Yes, I'm taking you on a date," Ash spoke, not really getting it at first. Then… he realized what he heard, and agreed to. "Wait. What?"

"You are taking us on a date." Now, it was Anabel who spoke. She was all smiles, just like Amber.

"Both of you?" Ash questioned.

"Of course," Amber said. "Anabel is my girlfriend, so if you want to take me out, you have to take her out, as well."

Ash looked between the two girls, before he said. "You do realize that this is really weird."

Amber cast a look at Ash. "Remember what I said that last time you said that?"

Ash did remember.

He sighed. "Fine," he agreed. "So, who is choosing where we go? You two, or I?"

"Well, normally it would be you," Anabel said. "But this time, it will be the two of us."

"Yeah," Amber said. "We won't be doing too much, though. We'll go to the movies, then have a lunch. After that, we'll walk around for a little bit, and talk. Maybe we'll make-out a little bit as well."

"You mean the two of us?" Ash just wanted to make sure.

"Yeah," Amber said. "The two of us, and Anabel and I. We'll wait a little bit for you and Anabel to make-out. She's a lesbian, so she really needs to get used to you to allow you to kiss her."

Ash heard all of this, and sighed. "This is weird even for me." He though in his head.

- Dream end –

Ash was suddenly woken up from his dream.

He remembered that day very well. It was on the third day in the Battle Pyramid, when Amber, and Anabel dragged him away from the large Pyramid, and took him to the Snowpoint City, where they spend majority of that day, on a date.

It was really weird day for Ash, but he won't say that he hated it. In fact, he liked it a lot, especially the make-outs with Amber, and Amber's kissing with Anabel. That shit was so hot.

"Hey Ash," Ash was pulled out of his memories by Lillie's voice. She approached him from the side, and stood above him. "What are you doing here?"

Seeing her, Ash was reminded of the fifth day in the Battle Pyramid.

After his date with Amber, and Anabel, it came to Ash that he hasn't spent a lot of alone-time with Lillie, ever since they came to Sinnoh. They were always traveling, and Dawn was always there, so it was almost impossible.

So, on that fifth day, Ash took Lillie on a date around the Snowpoint City.

Unlike with Amber, and Lillie; Ash was prepared for this date, so, he took Lillie to the movies. Then, instead of taking her to a lunch in a restaurant, he got all that is needed, and then took her on a picnic. It was a nice day. It wasn't that cold, so they were able to do it. He figured, the two of them alone on a picnic would be more romantic then a lunch, or a dinner in a restaurant with other people around them.

The two of them had a very nice date, but even better night, when they were finally able to be alone after a long time.

"I'm just relaxing." Ash replied to Lillie's question.

"You aren't training with your Pokémon?" She asked.

"I trained them into the ground the last few days, so I left them to rest a little." Ash said. "What about you? Are you ready for your battle against Paul?"

"I am," Lillie said, as she set on the ground next to Ash. He just kept lying on his back, with his hands behind his head. "Amber, and Anabel helped me a lot, so I believe that I'll win."

"Which Pokémon are you going to use?" Ash asked.

"I'll go with four of my stronger Pokémon, and two of my weaker ones," Lillie said. "I figured Paul won't hold back, and will bring his strongest possible team, which is why I need my strongest. But, I also want to give a chance to at least two of my newer, and weaker Pokémon."

Ash nodded. "That's a nice choice." He said.

After that, the two continued to seat/lie in silence, as they enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Lake Acuity.

XXX

The time for a battle between Paul, and Lillie has finally arrived.

The two of them, along with Reggie, Ash, Dawn, Amber, and Anabel, are on a large clearing right next to the Lake Acuity.

Along with them all, is a referee for the match, which Reggie has hired. He came along with another man as his assistant, via a hot-air balloon, and even has a portable monitor, which will show Lillie's and Paul's pictures, and the Pokémon they use in the match. It's pretty much like the monitor of the League Stadiums.

"Representing Alola Region, is Lillie from Hau'oli City," the referee spoke while standing in front of the hot-air balloon. The assistant is in the balloon. Lillie and Paul are already on their positions, and are ready to start the match. Ash, Dawn, Anabel, Amber, and Reggie, are seating on several large boulders right next to the hot-air balloon. "Representing Sinnoh, is Paul from Veilstone City!

"We now begin a full six-on-six battle! There is no time limit, and both sides may exchange Pokémon freely at desire. The battle will be over when all six Pokémon on either side are unable to continue!

"We will now use a coin toss to see who will use the first attack!"

Lillie chose heads, while Paul was left with tails. The referee used a Coin Toss app on his Pokétch, and it fell on heads, which means that Lillie will start the battle.

Lillie went and released her Snover, as her first Pokémon.

Paul followed, and released his Torterra, meaning that he's going all out from the start, as he has released his strongest Pokémon, even though it has a disadvantage against a part Ice Type, like Snover.

The portable screen showed the pictures of the two Pokémon on their trainer's side.

"BEGIN!" The referee started the battle.

Lillie started up with Blizzard, as her Snover put his arms forward, and shot a powerful blizzard at Torterra.

Torterra couldn't dodge it, and was hit by a powerful Ice Type Attack, which was its major weakens. It stood strong though, even with the frost appearing all over its body.

Paul told Torterra to use Giga Drain. The three rocks on Torterra's back glowed green, before green beams of energy shot toward Snover.

Snover dodged the attack, and then he used Ice Beam, which hit Torterra straight on the face, causing it more damage.

Torterra used Frenzy Plant, but Snover dodged again, showing his speed against an opponent who can barely more. Snover used Bullet Seed, and hit Torterra, who couldn't move due to the previous moves. Then, Snover used Ice Beam once again, and hit Torterra, freezing part of its body.

Torterra has taken quite a bit of damage by then, but it was standing strong. Lillie realized very quickly that while her Snover is dealing damage, he's not strong enough to end the battle. In that segment, Torterra has the advantage, as it's very durable.

Torterra used Stone Edge, and this time, it managed to hit Snover, who was sent to the ground, and dealt a lot of damage against a powerful attack, which is his weakness.

Torterra used Giga Drain, once again. It managed to catch Snover, and started to sap him of his energy. Snover cried out from being sucked of his energy, but he was tied up, and there was little he can do.

Luckily for him, and Lillie, few of his attacks can be used without his arms. One such attack is Ice Beam. Snover created a white orb in front of his head, and then fired multiple whitish beams toward Torterra.

Torterra was hit by the beams, and caused more damage, it also made it stop the Giga Drain.

Snover dropped on the ground, and went on his knees. He wasn't defeated, but he was sucked out of a great deal of his energy, and has used a lot of it on his attack.

Torterra was breathing hard. It has only landed one attack on Snover, but it's still in pretty much the same conditions as its opponent. Still, it's questionable how long it can last against an opponent who has major type advantage against it.

Lillie told Snover to use Blizzard, once again.

Before the attack could land, though; Paul returned his Torterra. He looked at Lillie with narrowed eyes, before he released his Weavile, as his second Pokémon.

"That's unexpected," Reggie commented to Ash, and Dawn. "I never thought that Paul would be forced to recall his strongest Pokémon."

"He realized that it's unnecessary for Torterra to take more damage," Ash said. "Snover is one of Lillie's newer Pokémon, and his attack power isn't great enough to defeat Torterra; at least not fast enough. On the other hand, Torterra is continuously taking damage, and that's a bad news for Paul. He figured it's better to leave Torterra for later, and let another Pokémon deal with Lillie's ice type." Ash smiled at that. "If only he knew."

"If only he knew, what?" Reggie asked.

"Lillie is primarily an Ice Type Pokémon trainer," Ash said, making Reggie's eyes widened. "She came into this battle with four Pokémon which are at least part Ice Type. If Paul thinks that saving Torterra for later will help him, he is very wrong."

"I see." Reggie said, before he returned to watch the battle. He hoped that Paul has chosen a good team to deal with Lillie's Ice Type Pokémon.

"Weavile, use Swords Dance," Paul said to his Pokémon, whose claws glowed, and extended, as its attack power went up. Then, Weavile went with Metal Claw to attack.

Snover used Ingrain, and grew roots from the ground, which grabbed Weavile while charging at him, much to Paul's shock.

Snover manipulated the roots, and slammed Weavile into the ground.

Weavile managed to break from the roots by cutting them with Metal Claw, and then used Blizzard on Snover.

The attack was at least somewhat successful, but not that much. Snover used Bullet Seed, which hit Weavile, and dealt it more damage.

Weavile used Metal Claw, as it charged at Snover.

Snover used Bullet Seed, once again, and again hit Weavile. Weavile held strong, though, and continued to run toward Snover. Once it was close enough, it used Metal Claw on Lillie's Pokémon.

Snover fell on the ground, and stayed there. He was defeated.

"Snover is unable to battle," the referee called out! "The winner is Weavile."

Lillie returned her defeated Pokémon, after she thanked him for a great battle. She took another Poke Ball, and released her second Pokémon. Her Alolan Sandslash.

Paul was shocked when he saw this Pokémon. "What is that?" He asked.

"Alolan Sandslash," Lillie said. "It's a bit different then a regular Sandslash."

The battle was started right away, and Lillie attacked head-on, with her Alolan Sandslash using Slash, on Weavile.

Weavile flew back from the Normal Type attack, as it was slashed over the face. It fell on the ground, and didn't get up.

"Weavile is unable to battle," the referee called out again! "The winner is Alolan Sandslash!"

"Damn, that was fast." Reggie said, as he watched his brother return his defeated Pokémon.

"Well, that Sandslash has been with Lillie since before she came here in Sinnoh," Ash said. "It's one of her more powerful Pokémon."

Reggie nodded in understanding.

Paul released his Magmortar as his third Pokémon.

Lillie knew that she was in a big disadvantage, but she also knew that Magmortar, is Paul's only fire type. As such, she decided to stay with her Alolan Sandslash, and see how it goes.

Lillie started the round with Swift. Alolan Sandslash started to roll in the air, and released a large number of yellow stars on Magmortar.

Magmortar fired a Flamethrower from the cannons on its hands. The Flamethrower cut a path through the stars, and went toward Alolan Sandslash, leaving a whole bunch of stars to still rain down on its body.

Alolan Sandslash used Dig, to escape from the fire type attack, leaving him undamaged, while Magmortar did receive some slight damage from the Swift.

Paul, and Magmortar looked around to see where Sandslash will come out from.

Seconds later, Alolan Sandslash burst out from the ground right behind Magmortar, and Lillie told him to use Slash.

Alolan Sandslash' claws glowed, before he slashed at Magmortar, once with each claw.

Magmortar yelled in pain, as it's face was slashed, dealing it quite a bit of damage.

Unfortunately, flames suddenly burst out around Alolan Sandslash' body, making him scream in pain from a very effective move.

This happened because of Magmortar' ability, Flame Body, which means that every time a Pokémon makes a physical contact with Magmortar, it will be burned. What's worse, once burned, the flames will periodically appear around the affected Pokémon's body, meaning that Lillie's Pokémon will be burned as long as he is in the battle.

Lillie told her Pokémon to use Icicle Crash. Alolan Sandslash made several meter-long icicle spears, which then started to rain down on Magmortar.

It didn't do much damage, but it distracted Magmortar from reacting on time, and was hit by Alolan Sandslash, using a Rollout.

Alolan Sandslash slammed into Magmortar at immense speed, and actually sent a much larger Pokémon, flying backwards through the air, until it fell on its back.

Once again, flames burst around Alolan Sandslash' body, dealing him even more damage, but he held strong, and then used Swift, and rained it down on the lying Magmortar, dealing it even more damage.

"Your Pokémon might have a great type advantage against my Pokémon, Paul," Lillie spoke to her Pokémon. "But my Pokémon has had a lot more training then your own, and can hold his own even against opponents stronger then him.

"Keep that in mind the next time you believe that type advantage, will bring you the victory."

Paul growled, before he told his Magmortar to use Flamethrower.

Alolan Sandslash dodged the attack, but was then met right in the face by Magmortar' Fire Punch.

Alolan Sandslash was sent flying, and crashed into the ground. He stood up quickly, feeling pain, but ignored it, along with new flames which burst around his body. He used Dig, and once again went underground.

Paul told Magmortar to be ready to use Fire Punch, and the fire type was ready, as its arms burst into flames. It was just waiting for Alolan Sandslash to come out from below the ground.

Paul, and Magmortar were somewhat expecting for Sandslash to come out behind Magmortar, like he did earlier. Instead, Alolan Sandslash came out right from below Magmortar, and hit it on the chin, sending it flying up, and backwards.

Alolan Sandslash used double Slash, and slashed Magmortar across the face, with both of his claws.

Alolan Sandslash completely ignored the flames around his body, as he used Swift on Magmortar, followed up with Rollout, and then another double Slash. At that moment, Alolan Sandslash looked like he was on steroids, due to the fact that he's viciously attacking, while his body was enveloped in flames, which are his major weakness.

All those attacks landed on Magmortar, who couldn't do anything except take them.

Eventually, it couldn't take any more, and passed out.

Much to everyone's shock, well, except Lillie's, and Ash's; Alolan Sandslash fell on the ground right after Magmortar passed out.

The round was declared a double knock-out, though everyone knew that Alolan Sandslash has won it.

Paul growled as he returned his defeated Pokémon. This isn't how he was thinking that the things will go. He knew Ash to be a skillful trainer, but this girl, who is several years younger than him, is making him go all out, and he's still losing.

That's not good.

Paul released his next Pokémon. It was his Honchkrow. At the same time, Lillie released her Piloswine.

"How many Ice Types do you have?" Paul couldn't help but ask.

"How many do you need?" Lillie asked back with a smirk.

Paul growled. It was then that he started to realize that he barely knows anything about Lillie, and considering that she has at least three Ice type Pokémon - which isn't exactly typical - it could mean that Lillie is an Ice Type Pokémon Trainer.

If that's true, he might be in trouble.

Paul returned his Honchkrow right away, and released his Electabuzz.

Everyone was surprised by this, but Paul didn't care. He immediately sent his Pokémon to attack using Brick Break.

Electabuzz run, and then jumped toward Piloswine, his right arm glowing. Then, he tried to hit Lillie's Pokémon, but instead, Electabuzz got an Ice Shard right in the face.

He was sent flying backwards, and fell on the ground in front of Paul. Electabuzz got up quickly though, only to see Piloswine using Ancient Power.

Paul had his Electabuzz use Protect, which blocked Piloswine's attack. Then, he used Light Screen.

Immediately, Paul returned his Electabuzz, and sent his Ursaring to the battle.

Everyone was surprised by what Paul seems to be doing, but they didn't stay on it for too long, as Paul went to attack.

First, Paul had Ursaring use Bulk Up, which raised Ursaring's attack, and defense. Then, Ursaring attacked with Focus Blast.

Piloswine used Ice Shard to stop the Focus Blast, before he immediately fired Ancient Power.

It was then that a barrier appeared around Ursaring, and protected it from Piloswine's attack.

At that moment, everyone understood what the point of Electabuzz's Light Screen was. Its protection has passed onto the next Pokémon as well.

That wasn't a problem for Lillie, though. Light Screen only protects from Special Attacks. Not physical ones.

Lillie immediately had Piloswine use Ice Shard. It's a physical attack, so Light Screen won't protect Ursaring.

Light Screen won't protect Ursaring, but it can protected itself, as it used Slash, and broke the Ice Shard. Then, Ursaring used Hammer Arm on Piloswine. It has hit the Ice/Ground type right over the head, and slamming him into the ground.

Piloswine rose back up, and shock his head. That attack hurt. That was for sure. He attacked right away, as Lillie told him to use Earthquake.

Piloswine rose his front body up, and then slammed it back down onto the ground, causing an earthquake, as the shockwaves spread around the battlefield, and hit Ursaring, who couldn't stay on its feet from the shaking.

Piloswine run toward Ursaring, and used Take Down on the bear Pokémon as soon as it got up, sending it back down on the ground.

Ursaring got up, and tried to use Hammer Arm on Piloswine, again hitting him over the head, and slamming it into the ground.

Those two Hammer Arms have done a lot of damage to Piloswine, but not enough to defeat him. Still, Lillie had plans for Piloswine, and didn't want him to take more damage, so she recalled him, and released her fourth Pokémon. It was her Aerodactyl.

Paul was really surprised to see Aerodactyl. He was almost expecting to see another Ice, or part Ice Type, considered that the three Pokémon Lillie used so far, have all been part Ice Type.

"That was a good decision on Lillie's part." Reggie said to Ash and Dawn.

"I know," Ash said. "She decided to leave Piloswine for later, when she might need him, even though he is the second weakest Pokémon she brought for today's battle."

"Are you serious?" Reggie asked in shock.

"Yeah," Ash said. "Snover was the weakest. Piloswine is the second weakest, while Alolan Sandslash is the third weakest. Her Pidgeot is her strongest Pokémon. As for the second and third, it's hard to tell who is stronger between Aerodactyl, and Alolan Ninetales, which is Ice/Fairy Type."

"You mean to tell me that so far, Lillie has been using her three weakest Pokémon, and she is still having advantage over Paul?" Reggie questioned in disbelief.

"It's funny, isn't it," Ash questioned? "She's so young, but she's a great trainer. I would know, as I trained her."

"What do you mean by that?" Reggie asked.

"I was a teacher in the Pokémon School in Alola Region for a full year, before I came here to Sinnoh," Ash revealed to Reggie, leaving the older man very shocked. "Lillie was one of my students there. So I know what she's capable of, and what she still has to learn."

Reggie didn't know what to say to that. He really wasn't expecting Ash to be a teacher of any kind. He just doesn't seem like a person to teach.

Reggie, Ash, and Dawn focused back on the battle, and watched as Aerodactyl used Ancient Power, which was dodged by Ursaring. That was all that Aerodactyl, and Lillie needed, because right away, Aerodactyl used Hyper Beam, and defeated Ursaring.

"Ursaring is unable to battle," the referee called, once again! "The winner is Aerodactyl!"

Paul returned his defeated Ursaring, while growling in anger.

Lillie also returned her Aerodactyl, as she didn't want to leave him to take unnecessary damage, as he can't move after using Hyper Beam.

Paul went and released his Honchkrow, revealing that it is his last Pokémon he will use in today's battle.

Lillie kind of expected this, so she released her Alolan Ninetales, much to Pauls' shocks, as he has never before seen a Ninetales like this one.

Not only that, but as soon as Alolan Ninetales appeared on the battlefield, a strong snowstorm appeared, covering the whole battlefield, and the surrounding ground. Honchkrow had a problem with visibility, even though it was somewhat protected from the snowstorm because of Electabuzz' Light Screen.

To make matters worse, a white mist appeared around Alolan Ninetales, and her body has become hardly visible.

"It's Ice/Fairy type," Lillie said to Paul. "Just so you know. She also has Snow Cloak, and Snow Warning, as her abilities."

Paul growled. Another Ice Type, and this one is part Fairy Type as well, which means that it has great advantage against his Honchkrow. The two abilities make the situation even worse, as his Torterra would barely be able to do anything against this. Electabuzz might be able to do something, but even Electric Type attacks won't be that effective against Ice, and Fairy Type. Brick Break would, but Paul doubts that one fighting type attack would be enough to defeat one of Lillie's Pokémon. They seem to be far too strong to be taken down that easily.

Paul stayed with his Honchkrow, and attacked using Shadow Ball.

Lillie countered with her Alolan Ninetales using Aurora Beam. The Ice Type attack broke through Honchkrow's Shadow Ball, and hit Honchkrow. Luckily for the Flying/Dark type, the effects of the Light Screen are still in play, so it was protected, somewhat.

Paul tried with Aerial Ace, but Lillie told Ninetales to use Disable.

Honchkrow was stopped mid-flight, and couldn't move a muscle. Then, it was slammed into the ground, before Ninetales used Ice Shard. As a Physical attack, it managed to hit Honchkrow, dealing it heavy damage. Then, Alolan Ninetales used Take Down.

She run at incredible speed, and slammed into Honchkrow, sending it flying across the battlefield. It stopped right in front of Paul's feet, allowing the purple-haired guy to see that his Pokémon was defeated.

Even though the snowstorm, the referee was also able to see that Honchkrow was defeated, so he called it. "Honchkrow is unable to battle! The winner is Alolan Ninetales!"

"That was really fast," Reggie commented in disbelief. "Lillie's is making a mockery of Paul."

"I'm surprised as well," Dawn admitted. "I knew Lillie is good, but not this good. Especially since Paul isn't actually a bad trainer."

"Lillie knows a lot about Paul," Ash said. "He doesn't know anything about her. Lillie is better than Paul, but not this better. Lillie simply has greater knowledge of Paul, then Paul of her, and she is using that right now. Unfortunately for Paul, he can't do anything about it at this moment."

Reggie and Dawn had to agree that Ash is right.

Paul returned his defeated Honchkrow, and released his Electabuzz.

Lillie went and returned her Alolan Ninetales, which caused the snowstorm to vanish from the battlefield, and allowed everyone to see clearly, and not shake from the cold. She then sent her Aerodactyl back to the battlefield, somewhat surprising everyone, as it's a part flying type, thus has a weakness against Electric Type attack.

Paul started right away with Thunder.

The powerful electric type attack hit Aerodactyl, causing him to growl in pain, but it wasn't able to defeat him. Instead, Lillie told Aerodactyl to use Ancient Power.

Electabuzz used Protect, followed by Light Screen. Thus, he, and Torterra will be protected from all special attacks from now on.

That was fine with Lillie, as she had her Aerodactyl fly at Electabuzz, and use Steel Wing.

Electabuzz countered with Thunder Punch, which led to the two Pokémon hitting each other.

Aerodactyl came out of the clash with more damage than Electabuzz, but he was still fine, as he has great endurance.

Aerodactyl used Stone Edge, as his next attack. Two light blue rings surrounded Aerodactyl's body. Then, the rings disappear and two rings of glowing white rocks circle his body. Aerodactyl's eyes glow light blue before he fired the rocks at Electabuzz.

Electabuzz used Protect to defend against the onslaught of the rocks, which bombed the barrier which was protecting Electabuzz.

Electabuzz was barely able to hold it, but in the end, its barrier held long enough to protect it from all the rocks.

Just as the barrier dropped down, Aerodactyl flew in front of Electabuzz, with his teeth glowing. Electabuzz was able to raise his left hand in front of himself, which was then bit by Aerodactyl using Crunch.

Electabuzz cried out in pain, while Paul growled, and told his Pokémon to use Thunder.

A powerful lighting strike came down from the sky, and hit both Aerodactyl, and Electabuzz. Electabuzz wasn't affected, but Aerodactyl was, as he let go of Electabuzz's arms, and shouted in pain from another electric type attack hitting him.

Aerodactyl still held strong as he used Stone Edge once again.

Electabuzz dodged the attack, and then tried to use Thunder Punch on the ancient Pokémon.

Aerodactyl used Giga Impact, though, as he flew at amazing speed toward Electabuzz. Aerodactyl clashed with Electabuzz's fist, before the two pushed at each other. Aerodactyl cried out in pain from the electricity which was circulating his body, but he didn't give up. Instead, he pushed more, and managed to overpower Electabuzz.

Electabuzz was sent flying, and rolling across the battlefield, until it finally stopped. Everyone saw swirls in its eyes, and knew that it was defeated.

As for Aerodactyl, he was standing on the ground, breathing hard from the injuries, and tiredness, while sparks of electricity were surrounding his body.

Paul returned his Electabuzz, and sent his final Pokémon. His Torterra.

Lillie decided to stay with Aerodactyl, as he himself wanted to stay. Lillie decided to honor his wishes.

Aerodactyl used Stone Edge, and rained it down on Torterra, who was hit by all of them, damaging it somewhat.

Torterra used Leaf Storm, but Aerodactyl flew around, and dodged the attack. But then, before Aerodactyl could attack, Torterra used Hyper Beam, and struck Aerodactyl down.

Aerodactyl fell on the ground. He was defeated.

"Aerodactyl is unable to continue! The winner is Torterra!" The referee called out.

Lillie returned her defeated Pokémon, as she thanked him for a great battle. She then took another Poke Ball, and released her Piloswine.

Paul started the battle by telling Torterra to use Giga Drain.

Piloswine countered with Ice Shard, which hit Torterra, dealing it damage, and stopping the Giga Drain.

Torterra used Frenzy Plant, and this one hit Piloswine, dealing it quite a bit of damage.

He stood strong, though, as Lillie looked at Paul. "This was a good battle, Paul," she told him. "But it's time to end it."

"What are you talking about?" Paul asked. He was really curious why she was speaking like she's practically won.

"Because of this," Lillie spoke. "Piloswine… use Fissure."

Paul's eyes nearly popped out of his head, as he heard this. He watched as Piloswine rose his front body of the ground, and then slammed it back down. A crack was created on the ground, which spread toward Torterra, as a white energy beam went through the crack, and struck Torterra right in the face, lifting it off the ground, and actually making it fall on its side.

Fissure is a one-hit KO attack. It was enough to defeat Torterra, and bring Lillie a win over Paul.

"Torterra is unable to battle, and the winner is Piloswine," The referee called out! "Which means that the victor is, Lillie!"

Everyone was stunned by the way the battle has ended. By every, it means everyone except Ash. He has kind of seen this one coming, as he knew about Piloswine learning Fissure just a few days ago. In fact, Lillie taught him that move just for this battle.

Also, Lillie's win was expected by Ash. He really meant what he said earlier about Lillie knowing Paul, but he didn't know much about her.

"That was a great battle, you two." Reggie said to Lillie and Paul, as he, Ash, Dawn, and the referee came close to the two trainers.

"It really was," Lillie said with a smile. "Well, now you know about me," she said to Paul, who looked at her. "I won this very easily because I knew almost everything about you and your Pokémon, while you didn't know practically anything abbot me. Now you know, so I expect to see a better battle from you, if we end up battling at the Sinnoh League."

Paul looked at Lillie for a few moments, saying nothing. He finally nodded, before he looked at the referee, nodded at him as well. Then, he said to Reggie that he will send him his Pokémon. He turned around, and left, without saying anything to Lillie, Dawn, or Ash.

"He really isn't happy about the way he lost." Reggie said with a sigh.

"I bet he isn't," Ash said. "But, if nothing else, then he has learned something today. We can only hope that what he learned will make him a better trainer, and a better person."

Reggie didn't know how to feel about Ash's words. In the end, he let it go, as he knows that Ash doesn't really like Paul.
