Chapter 683: Here at the Park. …
(August 5. Ketcham Park. Royal Woods Michigan.)
Lincoln and Luna Lewis are just here in the Park and enjoying each other's company, some big sister and little brother bonding time as usual. Jordan is busy with her parents and godfather and Sam and her family have left for Aloha Beach.
Luna looks to her little brother and she asks. "So you and Jordan about ready for returning to Middle School next month?"
Lincoln looks to his big sister and he speaks. "Yeah. We already chose the clubs we'll ne joining but obviously we're still members to the Gaming Club and Music Club. It's gonna be fun. How about you sis? Any big plans next month?"
Luna nods. "Senor year for me little brother. Last school year for me and Sam and also Sully and Mazzy. Then when that's done we'll be graduating and ready for whatever choice next in our lives." She then sees the concerned look from her little brother.
Luna knows what this is about and so she calms her brother down. "Don't be all worried there, Lincoln. Look, when Sam and I do graduate from High School, we're going to a local community college and not some college outside of town. Because this is our home, and we're not going to distance ourselves from those we love, and care for." Lincoln smiles hearing this and he embraces his big sister.
Luna returns the hug, and she kisses her brother on the forehead, and then Lincoln asks. "Luna, do we know what are the plans that our mom's have for the remaining weeks of summer vacation?"
Luna just rubs his head, and she thinks about this. "Huh, to be honest I have no idea too. Maybe they're going to surprise us and we should wait for when they are gonna tell us, but something tells me that the Loud's are also going to get involved." Lincoln and Luna then continue to spend time and bond.
But they both have one thing on their mind, and it's the chances of another encounter with Leonard Loud again, they know that he will be up to something and will risk breaking the restraining order to get to them, and they won't let him have his way, and they know that the Loud's are also on their side, that Leonard Loud has lost it, and doesn't accept change.
Above them and on the tree are Servine and Metang. Servine just sleeping on the branch next to some Caterpie, and Metang hovering around and keeping a close eye on everything, and Luna's Revavroom as usual, is asleep in her car. Seeing them makes Lincoln think about this. 'I wonder, are out Pokémon strong enough to take on Mega forms?'
Meanwhile, we see Lisa roaming around the Park, and she watches and she observes each Pokémon here, and also keeping track of what are here, and what might be new. She has seen some Pokémon which are the usual same, but she recalls that sometimes there are regional Pokémon forms that might show up here, and she recently heard of a Galarian Weezing sighted somewhere outside of town.
'There seems to be always something new and fascinating about these creatures, and the powers that they have within. There have been no sighting of such rare Pokémon or even Legendary types, and yet there have been rumors of ape-like Pokémon hiding within Tall Timbers Park. I wonder what kind of Pokémon they could be.'
Then Lisa sees the small calendar in her notebook, has a date for tomorrow. "Right, tomorrow is my 6th birthday and I will accept such changes since it is all for the better. Things are changing and that is a good thing. I wonder what everyone else will have planned for my birthday event tomorrow."
Then someone shows up. "Lisa! Lisa!" It's her best friend Darcy Helmandollar and she looks super excited. Darcy then hugs Lisa, and they both chuckle and then depart from the hug.
"Greetings Darcy, are you here in the Park alone?" asked Lisa.
Darcy then explains. "My big sister is here with me, but I wanna show you this little guy!" she shows Lisa the purple, furry looking insect Pokémon. "He was hiding in the shed, and we let him into the house and he's so nice and I think he's kinda cute too. What kind of Pokémon is he?" Lisa then checks the book.
Venonat.
Insect Pokémon. Bug and Poison Type.
Venonat is said to have evolved with a coat of thin, stiff hair that covers its entire body for protection. Lives in the shadows of tall trees where it eats insects. It is attracted by light at night. Its large eyes act as radars. In a bright place, you can see that they are clusters of many tiny eyes. Evolves into Venomoth.
Darcy is amazed to hear this. "So, he will fly when he evolves?" Both Lisa and Darcy continue to talk about her new Pokémon friend, and not too far from them are Lana, Lola and Maddie Logann, playing at the sandbox. Lola even explained to them, that she has given up on getting Kurt's attention.
This is something Lana and Maddie didn't see coming, and then Lana asks. "What changed your mind?"
Lola then explains. "It's just not worth it girls. Getting his attention, is not worth it and could land me into a world of trouble and so I will leave Leni and Kurt be, and also it reminds me of the whole thing we had when Lincoln had Hugh be his tutor. I recall, Luna calmed herself down and helped keep us back like wild animals. But, when Leni and Kurt do get married, I call bridesmaid."
This is truly something Maddie and Lana didn't expect. Maddie then speaks. "Good thing you did change, Lola. Because if you didn't…" she then grabs Lola and looks stern. "Then you would have regretted ever coming near my big brother and the girl he loves the most, because I am a little girl who knows her way around the ranch and you do not wanna face me, Lola Loud."
Maddie let's go of Lola and she continues with playing with Lana, but what Maddie did freaks them out, and now Lola is glad she changed, she doesn't wanna know what Maddie is capable of doing. Then Maddie stops. "Also, who said you'd become the bridesmaid?"
Lola doesn't wanna respond, and she just goes back to playing. Swadloon sees this and is confused, and not too far is Lucy and Banette, and they didn't think Maddie was one tough little girl. But then again, she's a Logann and the Logann's are tough when it matters.
Meanwhile, Leni and Kurt are at the picnic benches and talking to each other. Kurt then asks. "So, when are we going to tell your family about you're college plans?"
Leni then explains and she seems confident. "The day after tomorrow, then we will tell them about it. I wanna be sure we tell them after my little sister, Lisa's birthday. I know that it could be in any different state for them when I tell them, but I need to be strong and prepared."
Kurt then speaks to Leni. "Hey now. Look, everything will be alright because I know that you're family are very supportive, especially the Lewis'. There is no way they'd be upset from this, well chances you're dad might end up like a crying mess, similar to when Lori went to college right?" Leni chuckles, and she remembers that one, and getting Lynnard to let go was hard.
Leni and Kurt then share a small kiss. "I look forward to whatever happens next, for the both of us." They then hold hands, and blush. Both of them looking to each other lovingly, and not even notices Fiona and Miguel seeing this and they snicker.
