Fallen Angels Arc Chapter 15: Fallen Date

It was now Saturday morning, and Asia had stayed the night at Jiro and Irina's house. After the three left the park, they went to a furniture store and bought Irina a bed for her bedroom and a futon for Asia to sleep on next to Irina's bed. Afterwards, they went to a clothing store to buy Asia more clothes since all she had was her nun's outfit, which she had been wearing for several days. Because all Asia had with her was a brown backpack containing small, scarce items such as a Bible, crucifix, holy water, and a few toiletries, she was able to settle pretty easily.

"Sorry, I don't have any spare rooms for you, Asia." Jiro said as they sat at the dining table and ate the breakfast Jiro made for them. Asia simply smiled reassuringly.

"Oh, no, it's fine. In fact, it's quite comfortable sleeping next to Irina-san's bed. It makes me feel safe," Asia said while chewing on a strip of bacon. Jiro and Irina chuckled at Asia's reassurance.

"However, I do appreciate both of you with all my heart for letting me stay here. It's been so long since I was able to have a nice shower and sleep on something comfortable. I hope God blesses both of you." Asia said, smiling while bowing her head.

Jiro and Irina smiled warmly in return. "There's no need to thank us, Asia-chan. We're friends, aren't we? And God has already blessed us with each other's presence, along with our unique abilities." Irina said, in her usual cheerful demeanor.

"You heard the angel, so just live in the moment while you're with us," Jiro said, patting Asia's head. "Yes, you're right. I'm happy to be here and bond with you," Asia said, blushing from Jiro's gesture.

After several minutes, they finished their breakfast. "That was amazing. You're really good at cooking, Jiro-san," Asia said in admiration.

Jiro smirked with pride. "Yes, I am. Glad you liked." Jiro said as he was about to start washing the dishes. Irina and Asia, seeing this, had different plans.

"Hey, now you cooked for us. I think it's fair that you let us wash the dishes." Irina said, grabbing the sponge from his hand. Asia nodded in agreement.

"Is that right? Well, no point in objecting. It's impossible to argue with you, Irina. So, I'll leave you two at it." Jiro said, stepping back from the sink with an amused smile.

Irina smiled and nodded smugly while Asia giggled as they began washing the dishes. Jiro glanced at the clock and realized something. "Oh, look at the time. It's about time I get ready for my 'meet up' with a certain individual." Jiro said, walking out of the room and up the stairs, leaving the church girls confused. Irina's eyes widened as she realized what he meant.

"If you want to come and watch, you better wash those dishes quickly, Ri-Ri-chan." Jiro yelled from upstairs. Irina began washing the dishes as fast as possible while Asia looked at her confusedly, also washing.

Thirty minutes later, Jiro came downstairs wearing his usual delinquent attire and saw Irina standing by the door, waiting for him. She was already fully dressed, wearing a yellow t-shirt with a cross on it, jean shorts, and white sneakers.

"Heh, looks like someone's eager." Jiro said with an amused smile. Irina pouted slightly and looked away, blushing slightly.

"Well, I have to make sure... she doesn't hurt you in any way. And you said I could watch over you during it, so what's the harm?" Irina said while fidgeting with her fingers.

Jiro chuckled at her response. Asia, who was watching from the couch, chimed in. "Are you two going somewhere?" Asia asked, looking up from her Bible that she was reading.

"Yes, we are. This is... important business, so we can't bring you along." Jiro said as Asia nodded innocently and replied, "Okay".

"Will you be alright here by yourself, Asia-chan?" Irina asked, her usual worrying self shining through. Asia smiled in response.

"I'll be able to manage. But I'm sure that if I end up in trouble, the two of you will be there to help me. And if I do end up getting hurt, I'll be able to heal myself." Asia said with a reassuring smile.

Jiro and Irina smiled at her faith in them. "Alright then, later, Asia." Jiro said, waving at her as he walked out the door, Irina doing the same. They closed the door behind them, leaving Asia reading her Bible on the couch.

"They're so cute together," Asia thought, before looking back down at her Bible.

Jiro walked onto the bridge where he first met "Yuma" and waited for her. (Jiro, the fallen angel, is nearby.) Ddraig said in Jiro's mind.

"Yeah, I sense her too. And jeez, again, she's not even bothering to conceal her unholy aura," Jiro said in his mind, replying to Ddraig.

(Heh, and I'm still surprised you're playing along with her little act.) Ddraig said, mildly amused. 'Like I said, so I can find out who she's working for and what her main plan is. Plus, she might be one of the fallen pursuing Asia. I'm interested to see what they're up to here. And also, it could be fun; I haven't had any action lately.' Jiro said, elaborating.

("I see. So you've thought this out thoroughly. Hm, looks like she's here,") Ddraig said, to which Jiro nodded.

Yuma saw Jiro standing there with his back to her, snuck up on him, and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him from behind. "Jiro-kun, I'm so happy to see you again!" Yuma said, squeezing him tightly.

"Happy to see you too, Yuma-chan," Jiro said, looking over his shoulder at her. 'Weird, I'm sensing traces of sadness and longing from deep within her,' Jiro thought to himself.

Irina, watching their interaction from the sky, was practically fuming in anger as she pouted. "Hrm, who does she think she is? I oughta go down there and teach her a lesson," Irina said to herself as she watched them.

Yuma pulls away from Jiro, and he turns around to look at her. She was wearing a purple blouse, black skirt, and black heels while carrying a pink purse on her shoulder. "Gotta admit, you're cuter than when I first met you. You're like an... angel," Jiro said, bringing his face closer to hers while smiling.

"Oh, um, thank you," Yuma said shyly, turning away with a massive blush on her face. 'I don't need your compliments, you perv. And stop trying to flaunt your handsomeness, dammit!' She thought to herself.

"Heh, well then, shall we go?" Jiro said, reaching out his hand for her to take, which she did while blushing. "Yes, we shall!" Yuma said, smiling as they started walking.

"Grr, hey now, no one's allowed to hold Jiro-kun's hand but me!" Irina said to herself, fuming even more as she watched them. She secretly wished she was the one there right now, but distracted herself by reminding herself that it was just an act.

Jiro and Yuma walk around the shopping district, going to many stores and trying on clothes. At one of the stores, Jiro buys Yuma a pink, scrunchy-like bracelet, which she now wears on her left wrist. They then visit a cafe where they eat parfaits and chat happily, laughing together. While all this is going on, Irina watches from afar, overflowing with jealousy.

Several hours later, the sun was starting to set and Jiro and Yuma were walking side by side through the park. "I sure had a lot of fun today," Yuma said, glancing at him. "Yeah, me too," Jiro said as he took her hand in his as they walked, making her blush.

'Weird, the reports said he was dangerous, but he doesn't actually seem like such a bad guy. It's almost a shame to kill him. Whatever, a job is a job.' Yuma thought to herself.

"Something wrong?" Jiro asked, glancing at her. She said, "Oh, nothing." Yuma then moved in front of him, making him stop in his tracks.

"This has been an amazing day. How about we end it in an amazing way?" Yuma said, stepping closer to him and putting her hands on his chest while looking into his eyes.

'WHAT DOES SHE THINK SHES DOING?!' Irina yelled in her mind with a huge blush on her face, her mouth a gape, believing Yuma was going to kiss him. She was hiding behind a tree, watching the scene, trying to resist the urge to jump out and push her away from Jiro.

Jiro smiled down at her. "Before we do, can I ask you an important question?" Jiro said. Yuma nodded, saying, "Of course, anything."

Jiro grinned, mischievously. "So... how long are you gonna keep up this act... miss fallen angel?" Jiro asked, making Yuma's eyes widen in shock.

"Y-you knew? F-for how long?" she asked in astonishment. "From the first moment I saw you," Jiro said, his grin widening.

"Let me guess, your plan was to invite me out on this "date" to make me lower my guard, bring me somewhere secluded like this park, and kill me in cold blood. Am I right... Raynare?" Jiro said with a knowing grin, making her eyes widen even further.

"Yes, you are. And how the hell did you know my real name?" Raynare asked, stepping back from him.

"You weren't exactly being subtle when making reports to your fellow fallen, honey." Jiro said, shrugging in amusement. Her face twisted with anger and humiliation, unable to accept being found out so easily.

"Hmph, then I guess there's no point in hiding it anymore," Raynare said as she started to transform into her true appearance. She grew taller, taking on a more mature appearance. Her initial clothing tore away and morphed into black, leather straps around and under her large breasts, a thong-like piece held around her hips by three thin straps, gloves that ran up her arms with a small chain hanging from her left arm, shoulder pads on her shoulders with three large spikes sprouting from her right shoulder, and black thigh-high heeled boots.

'I've never seen anything so amazing in my life.' Jiro thought to himself, trying to fight back a nosebleed, while Irina, from behind the tree, looked at Raynare in disapproval at her now shameless outfit.

"Now then, are you ready to die for me?" Raynare said as she unfurls her black wings and floats upwards while summoning a purple light spear. Jiro merely smirked at her threat.

"Not really, but let me see what you've got."

"You insolent little brat. Are you mocking me?"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."

"Tch, now you've gone too far. I'll show you the power of fallen angels," Raynare said as she lifted the light spear, ready to throw it.

Irina, who was watching the exchange behind the tree in concern, was about to summon her own light and attack Raynare in defense of Jiro.

Raynare throws the light spears with all her might, aiming to impale Jiro's heart. However, to the shock of Raynare and Irina, Jiro caught the spear in his left hand with ease. "Heh, want this back?" Jiro said as he threw the light spear back up at her with greater force, which she barely able to dodge.

"What the hell?" Raynare said in surprise.

"Come on, surely that's not your best," Jiro said, smiling smugly.

Raynare glares at him, summons another light spear, and dashes towards him with great speed, her spear pointed at his chest. She had no intention of holding back or going easy on him. Before Raynare could stab him, however, Jiro catches her light spear between his left thumb and index finger, stopping her in place.

Raynare glares at him with fury and a bit of surprise. She is taken off guard by his action, thinking he cannot withstand her strength, but he is able to catch her spears as if it were nothing. She tries to break away her spear from his firm grip, despite it being his fingers, but she can't.

"What in the name of hell!?" Raynare yelled in shock. "You little... How can you resist against me so easily?"

"Because I'm just nice like that," Jiro said as he reached over and flicked her forehead, sending her flying backwards, skirting across the ground, which surprised Irina even further. Raynare stood up and gritted her teeth.

The humiliation got to her head. This was supposed to be a simple mission of killing a damn human, but it turned out very differently. She got her identity revealed like nothing, and her pride as a fallen angel was on the line. She could not stand it, the humiliation of being stopped by a simple flick from his finger.

"T-This... cannot... this is impossible! You are just a human, you have no right to be so strong!" Raynare yelled in irritation and disbelief. Jiro then suddenly appeared right in front of her, glaring down at her.

"Oh, I do have the right… because I put in the effort and trained to get this strong. Unlike you, I didn't get cocky and slack off like you." Jiro said with a mischievous smile.

Raynare backed away, glaring at him and gritting her teeth. "Hmph, I don't know what kind of training you did, but it can NEVER make someone like you stronger than a fallen angel, a creature specifically created to kill humans. It's unnatural... It's like a damn bug trying to fight against a cat." Raynare said, trying to keep her composure, but the humiliation and anger inside her were building up faster and faster.

"Heh, you say that, but you haven't even dusted off the dirt from getting sent flying from one little flick." Jiro said with an amused smile. Raynare's veins on her forehead looked as though they were going to burst at this point as she channeled light energy into her fists, strengthening them.

"YOU BASTARD... HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME!" Raynare yells as she charges towards Jiro and throws a flurry of light-energy-enhanced punches at his face, chest, and stomach, creating shockwaves that kick up dust and leaves. Jiro simply stands there, his fists on his hips, taking all her punches like they're nothing.

She then finishes her assault with a powerful punch square in his face with immense force, but it has zero effect on him. Raynare is shocked that her punches had absolutely no effect on him.

"W-What?! H-how is that possible?! Y-you don't even wince?!" Raynare said, baffled and unable to accept that a mere human could withstand her strikes so easily and effortlessly.

"Is that all you got?" Jiro said as she slowly moved her fist from my face.

"Ok, then. Guess It's my turn," Jiro said. In a similar manner to how he knocked out Riser, he punched her in the stomach, making her cough up blood and fly back, but she didn't fall unconscious.

Raynare coughs uncontrollably as she flies back, landing heavily after a few dozen feet. She stands up and glares at him in anger while wiping blood from her mouth, feeling humiliated and offended.

"W-What the hell... How... This is impossible... How can a mere human have this much strength?! It doesn't make any sense!" Raynare said in disbelief.

"Heh, I am the impossible," Jiro said, shrugging.

At the same time, Irina, who watches from a little ways away behind a tree, was stunned at what she's seeing. She now realized the extent of his powers, which was hard for her to believe at first, but watching the fight unfold, she could feel it in the depths of her soul. His strength and power was much more than she expected. It makes her heart tighten with emotion, both joy and worry at the same time. She cannot believe that he could be so strong, dragon or not, but at the same time, she feels excited to see this display of his strength.

"Are you done yet, or do you want more? I don't know if you realized, but I haven't even moved from this spot yet." Jiro said, pointing at the ground.

Raynare looks at him wide-eyed in complete shock that she hadn't even so much as moved him. She then grits her teeth again.

"Then let's see if this moves you!" Raynare said in a low, threatening voice as she flares her unholy purple aura, charging up to her full power. She shoots into the air, raises her hands above her head, and a large purple spear forms above her.

She prepares to unleash her final, powerful attack. The light spear, far larger and brighter than her previous efforts, reaches the size of a house.

Irina, seeing the size of her light spear, jumps out from behind the tree in fear and concern. "Jiro-kun, that spear could do major damage!" Irina said, running towards Jiro.

Jiro simply reached out his right arm, gesturing for her to stop, which she did. "You stay right there, Ri-Ri-chan. Let's see what that huge light spear can do. Go on through it," Jiro said, smiling smugly while making a come-on gesture towards Raynare.

Irina looks at him as if he's gone insane while Raynare smirks, seeing Jiro's confident challenge. She readies the massive light spear with determination and points it at Jiro.

"Very well, Jiro Natsuo. Don't say I didn't warn you. Take this! UNHOLY RADIANT LIGHT SPEAR!" Raynare yells as she hurls the giant light spear directly at Jiro with incredible force, intending to pierce him with its brilliance.

As the spear descends rapidly, Jiro simply clenches his right fist and punches the tip of the spear once it is in range, shattering it completely and creating a massive gust of wind pressure from the force of his punch, leaving Raynare and Irina utterly shocked.

After the wind dies down, Raynare looks on in shock and disbelief that Jiro effortlessly shattered her strongest attacks with a single punch. She stumbles back in midair, her expression filled with a mix of shock and fear. Jiro looks up at her, amused by her expression.

"Heh, would you look at that? I think I almost put some effort into that one. Anyway, I think I've done enough playing around with you... so why don't I put this to bed... literally." Jiro said as he then suddenly appeared in front of her in midair and head-butted her, knocking her back down to the ground, rendering her unconscious.

Jiro then landed back down on the ground. "So, how did you like the show?" Jiro said, turning to Irina.

Irina looks at Jiro with wide eyes, looking shocked and impressed, still unable to believe what she experienced. Her mouth is wide open, her heart races, and words can't come out as she shakes her head in disbelief. However, a moment later, she manages to regain her voice, but not her composure.

"I-I can't believe what I just saw. That was really impressive, Jiro-kun. I never thought you'd be that strong. But it was an amazing fight. I'm glad I got to see it with my own eyes." Irina said, speaking in a trembling voice, before regaining her composure.

She looks at him, feeling a mix of admiration and a tiny bit of jealousy. She feels proud because her childhood friend is now so strong, but at the same time, she wishes she had that kind of strength. She feels a little self-conscious about her own power, she was by no means weak, but didn't know how she compared to others.

"Heh, glad you liked it. But I have to admit, she's quite strong in her own right. At full power, I'd say she's on par with Rias and Akeno." Jiro said, glancing at Raynare on the ground while scratching his chin.

Irina looked at him in contemplation before nodding in understanding. "As strong as a high-class devil and her 'Queen'? I guess that's a fair assessment, especially after the size of that last light spear." Irina said, secretly wondering if she could handle any of them in a fight.

"Anyway, it's time to take this one back home," Jiro said as he walked up to Raynare's unconscious body and picked her up in a bridal style.

Irina's eyes widened at his words. "W-wait, we're taking her back to our house?! Why?!" Irina asked in surprise, while secretly not liking the way he was carrying her.

"For questioning, of course. Gotta find out who she's working for and what her plans are." Jiro said casually.

"Why not just leave her with Rias and the others, and let them question her?!"

"Yeah, no, they'll just kill her right afterwards, and I'd rather not have that."

"What do you mean? She tried to kill you, didn't she? Why would it bother you if they did?"

"Because she was ordered to kill me. And I'm not so heartless as to kill someone who can't fight back and was just following orders."

Irina looked at him for a few seconds and then sighed in acceptance. "Fine, I don't think there's any way for me to stop you. But I'll only allow you to do this if you restrain her and block her magic somehow." Irina said, pointing at him.

Jiro chuckled at her declaration. "Heh, don't worry. That was already my plan," Jiro said as they started walking, leaving the park and heading back home.

Meanwhile in the abandoned church

Several hours passed, and by this time, the sun had already descended completely, leaving it dark outside. The others in the church looked at the time with puzzled looks. They had already finished their preparations for the ritual and were now awaiting Raynare's return with Asia.

"Where the hell is Raynare? She should have already killed that human by now," Dohnaseek said in mild annoyance. Kalawarner looks at the clock again in contemplation.

"Perhaps she's still looking for the nun?" Kalawarner said thoughtfully.

"But if she had finished the job and gone searching again, she would have sent a telepathic report to us. And she hasn't sent any reports since this afternoon." Mittlet said, thoughtfully.

Freed joins the courses of thoughts chucking nonchalantly. "Heh, maybe she fell head over heels for her boy toy and is letting him screw her senseless," Freed said, almost mockingly.

The fallen angels all glared at the stray priest. "One more word out of your mouth and you'll be eating a light sword," Kalawarner said, making Freed put his hands up in surrender and back away while chuckling.

"Anyway, if she's not back by tomorrow morning, we'll go pay those devils in town a visit and see if they have her. Maybe they'll have the nun as well. While we do that, we'll send the other fallen angels and priests around town to rampage as they look for them." Dohnaseek said, changing the subject.

Kalawarner and Mittelt nodded in response. "Sounds like a plan. Watching them cause chaos will be fun after all this preparation," Mittelt said with a mischievous smile.

Kalawarner looks at the pedestal for the ritual. "Yes, we can't afford to waste any more time. Lord Kokabiel awaits our return with Twilight Healing and Lullaby," Kalawarner said seriously.

To be continued
