And here we have the next chapter!

We actually took a little break before writing it, just to put down some concepts for other stuff... and then I ended up having to deal with some bullshit two days in a row that prevented me from working more.

But, here it is now, so hope you enjoy.

Journey of Redemption - Part 6

The sound of an engine was heard as Emerald and her growing group were riding down the pathway again. It had been a few days since Igneetmon joined their little group and they'd been on the road since. Unfortunately being on the road non-stop made apparently a few new issues. Namely the fact that they hadn't refueled since they got the bike.

"If we don't find a town soon, we're gonna be in trouble," Emerald frowned as the fuel gauge on the bike was getting a bit too close to Empty for her liking.

"And leaving the bike is out of the question," Morphomon said, both because this helped them too much...and she knew how attached Emerald had gotten to the bike.

"Hey, I think I see something over there!" Norn said, pointing in a direction. True enough they COULD see something in the distance.

"Let's hope it's a settlement then," Igneetmon frowned as they were soon heading for the location.

Getting closer though, they started to hear faint music in the distance, which became clearer and clearer as they approached "Is that… carnival music?" Emerald said in confusion.

"I...think it is yes," Morphomon blinked, as true enough, it WAS in fact a carnival that they'd driven towards. Though...calling it a carnival might be too easy. It was more a town that was themed around a carnival, complete with various rides, stands, the works, among the more normal looking buildings. Heck, there was even a roller coaster track that seemed to go around and even through some of the buildings.

"Okay...so a literal carnival town. If this had been a couple of weeks ago, I'd wonder how someone could build something like this," Emerald said a bit dryly.

"So...think we can find any fuel here?" Norn asked after a moment.

"We might as well check. We literally don't have any options," Emerald sighed as the group soon parked the bike and entered the town.

"Well...this place is...lively," Igneetmon mused.

"Yeah, so lively I'm surprised the town hasn't burned down yet," Morphomon sweat dropped. The reason? The number of Child level Digimon running around, laughing...while they were doing literally whatever they liked, from breaking windows, doing graffiti, riding on various rides, to literally stuffing themselves till they puked. In short, it was absolute chaos.

"I think these aren't just Child level Digimon… but actually, LITERAL, children, as well." Igneetmon said after a moment.

"They sure ACT like brats." Emerald said with a sweatdrop.

"...so see if we can find what we need, then get out of here?" Norn guessed, earning several nods of confirmation.

With that said, they were careful to avoid the gangs of little monsters (pun not intended, but appropriate) and went deeper into the town in hopes of finding something they could use. As they did though, they soon found that the town seemed basically full of trouble makers, and yet nobody did anything to try and stop them.

"This town is crazy," Igneetmon couldn't help but say.

"It is. How and why would anyone just leave this be?" Norn frowned.

"Wish I could answer that one," Emerald sighed. Either way they needed fuel and if this place had power, then there should be something that worked as a fuel source.

However, right as they were doing that, a figure darted through them, but before anything could happen, Emerald moved faster, stopping an arm from grabbing her Digivice, and tossed them over, revealing a Gazimon that looked a bit dizzy from the failed attempt at theft. "Huh, not too shabby, but too obvious," Emerald said in mild amusement.

The Gazimon shook his head, and glared at them. "Oh yeah? What's a human think they know anyway?"

"Oh I know a lot. In fact I know a trick that'll REALLY knock your socks off," Emerald smirked a bit, walking towards him, before covering her face with her hands, much to the Gazimon's confusion, before she suddenly took her hands...and instead of her face there was an over-sized green mask with bulging bug eyes, a orange and purple-striped nose and a big toothy grin. "BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!"

The Gazimon let out a high pitched and very girly scream, and ran away so fast he actually made a hole in the wall, leaving Emerald to be unable to help herself but laugh at that one.

"I don't know what you did, but you sure showed him," Morphomon laughed at seeing the reaction.

Emerald chuckled as she turned back "Eh, just went easy on him and turned my face into an old halloween mask I remember seeing when I was a kid. Anyway, let's see if there's anything around here."

"I see something." Igneetmon said, pointing at where the Gazimon had ran and left a hole, making the group look… and see the hole repairing itself.

"Huh… don't see that everyday." Norn said with a confused blink.

"Unless you've spent some time at Beacon," Emerald said, idly remembering how many times Glynda Goodwitch was stuck repairing the damages caused by the students. Seriously, was she a teacher or the school's handywoman?

"So...we're assuming someone is making this happen, right?" Igneetmon sweat dropped.

"Yeah… this is the Digital World, but the way the parts are moving back into place, that's being done by someone, not automatic." Morphomon said with a nod.

"Guess someone is keeping this place from falling apart then. Question is who?" Norn frowned.

"That would be me," a new voice said, as they turned to the source and saw what could be summed up as a white colored Wizardmon, with a snowflake at the end of their staff. "Pleased to meet you and welcome to Carnival Town. I'm Sorcerymon, the owner and operator of this town."

Digimon Analyzer: Sorcerymon

Sorcerymon. Vaccine Type. An Adult Level Demon Man Digimon. A Digimon from Witchelny, rumored to be a compatriot of many other wizard type Digimon from that world. He is adept at using ice and light magic, and known to be a capable healer. Special attack is Crystal Cloud, summoning a storm cloud overhead that dispenses a blizzard on enemies.

"Huh… you look a lot like another Digimon I met a while back." Emerald said, remembering the time she encountered Wizardmon while still working for Cinder.

"Yes, I can guess what Digimon you speak of." Sorcerymon nodded "It's a bit of a recurring thing with people mistaking me for a Wizardmon, or vice versa."

"That's actually a fairly common issue in the Digital World. Lots of Digimon look like each other despite being different species. The worst I can think of are the NiseDrimogemon," Igneetmon mused.

"What's the difference with them?" Norn asked.

"They look exactly like a normal Drimogemon...only with a squiggly looking moustache," Igneetmon answered.

"...seriously?" Emerald deadpanned.

"Seriously," Morphomon nodded dryly.

"Wow…" Emerald said with a shake of her head, before she looked at Sorcerymon "Anyway, we were wondering if you had any fuel in your town? Like a gas station or something, we need to fill up our bike."

"Well, you won't find a gas station, but I do have a place to keep some fuel I could share," Sorcerymon mused.

"We'd like that yeah," Norn nodded gratefully.

"Follow me then," Sorcerymon nodded. As they walked he decided to strike up some conversation. "So, what brings you all out here?"

"A few things, but among them have you seen some weird...tower looking thing around here?" Morphomon asked. "Apparently it's possibly dangerous."

Sorcerymon hummed, looking back at them "A tower, you say?"

"Yeah, it's supposed to be some kind of… Dark Tower I think?" Igneetmon said, looking to Emerald.

"That's what she called it when talking to her boss yeah." she said with a nod, remembering when she spied on DeviWitchmon speaking to her boss she had apparently been planning to betray.

She didn't know just WHAT that Dark Tower was supposed to be, but it couldn't be anything good, that much was for sure.

"Well, if there was something like that I'm quite sure I'd have noticed," Sorcerymon said after a moment. "Other than my guests there really isn't much else here," he said.

"Speaking of them...what's THEIR story?" Morphomon asked...right as one of the little monsters...oh wow, did that one just crash a bumper car out of the ring somehow?

"...I'm surprised this town hasn't burnt down with the things they're doing," Igneetmon winced. "No offense meant."

"None taken," Sorcerymon waved off. "Yes, they are problematic, but they also have nowhere else to go, and repairing the damage is simple enough for me. So I decided to keep this place running."

"That's very nice of you," Norn smiled.

"Most people think I'm a bit odd, and maybe I am, but it makes me feel fulfilled," Sorcerymon smiled.

"Well, I guess if you enjoy doing it, we can't really fault you." Emerald smiled.

"Thank you." Sorcerymon nodded before continuing to guide them "You know, you could stay for a bit, there's going to be a show later, maybe you could watch it before getting back on the road?"

The group paused at that one. "Well...we HAVE been travelling for quite some time...maybe a break wouldn't hurt," Norn frowned.

"But we also have to keep moving so…" Morphomon frowned, before they began discussing amongst themselves. Eventually…

"Well...I guess a day wouldn't hurt. We could stock up on supplies too," Emerald said.

"Excellent. I'm sure you'll all enjoy the show we'll be having later," Sorcerymon said, very pleased.

"Alright then. We'll be sure to watch it," Igneetmon chuckled lightly.

A few hours later saw the group having gathered some extra supplies, and having gotten the fuel which they used to refuel the bike before going to see the show.

"Wonder what kind of show they're gonna be putting up," Morphomon mused.

"Well, if it's enough to get these troublemakers' attention it must be good," Emerald shrugged.

"We DID promise we'd see it so it can't hurt," Igneetmon said.

The group soon found themselves in the big top that was the venue of the show, just in time too as the show was about to start. Of course they only cut it close because they took the time to get some snacks. Hey, it was still a show. Might as well enjoy it right.

As they sat down, the show began, Sorcerymon taking to the ring. "Welcome everyone!" he smiled. "Are you ready for a show to remember?"

The cheers he was met with answered the questions.

"Then sit back and enjoy, as my aurora carnival begins now!" he said, raising his staff before statues made of ice came into being and soon started moving. What was once an empty central ring became a veritable circus of events as various ice sculptures played out various acts with the kind of grace that should have been only for living beings.

"This is...actually really good," Emerald blinked.

"He's quite a showmon," Morphomon agreed.

The show continued for a while, everyone having a good time until…

"And now it is time for our grand finale, but before that, I ask all of you if you've had a good time in my town?" Sorcerymon said, earning roars of approval. "Excellent!" he smiled...before something changed. "Now that you've all had your fun...it's time for you to pay me back," he said...right before the exits were covered in ice, followed by holes in the ground opening, and out of them came a swarm of black rings that flew into the air and went straight for the various Digimon.

Panic soon started as the Digimon were caught off guard, the rings affixing to them, and when they did, they stopped, their bodies becoming rigid and an unhealthy red glow covering their eyes.

"What the?!" Norn gasped in shock.

"What's going on here?!" Emerald shouted.

Sorcerymon chuckled at her words "Simply me doing my job of course. The final task Lady DeviWitchmon gave to me. I only recently became aware of her demise, but I figure it means I can take over operations here myself."

"You worked for her?! But she was planning to take over Folder!" Igneetmon said in rage.

Sorcerymon snorted "Obviously, though she couldn't quite measure up in the end, but I'll pick up the slack myself. Not much you can do about it to stop me after all, but at least this lets me put you back in your rightful place." he said, snapping his fingers as two more rings rose up from the holes "I had my suspicions about who you were, but when you mentioned the Dark Tower, it was obvious you were that servant she liked to use so much. I still can't believe how easy you were to fool."

"What are you talking about?!" Igneetmon roared at him, grabbing his weapons.

Sorcerymon laughed "You don't know?! That just makes it better then! SHE was the one who destroyed your home! She orchestrated everything because she felt the town was encroaching on her territory and didn't like the look of it, so she had it annihilated by some mon for hire. When she found you, she decided she might as well make use of you and turned you into her slave, and you were none the wiser!"

Igneetmon stilled at that, shaking, before letting out a roar of rage and anguish, both at hearing the words, and remembering his friends who'd been completely deleted with no chance to even revive.

Sorcerymon laughed "Ah, that level of sadness is always something fun to see. I'll make sure to savor this memory before I make you my slaves." he said, before pointing his fingers forwards, the rings flying towards them quickly, aiming right for the still grieving Igneetmon and the shocked Morphomon.

Emerald however did see them coming, and reacted quickly. "Look out!" she gasped, aiming to try and catch the rings. However, what happened instead was her Digivice glowing brightly and the rings suddenly stopped moving and fell to the ground, shattering into data.

"What?" Sorcerymon blinked, bewildered at what just happened...and giving the group an opening to do the only thing they could do right now.

"Quick, blow a hole open!" Norn shouted.

"But-!" Igneetmon started to protest, but Emerald stopped him.

"We won't let him get away, but we can only do that if we get out of here first!" Emerald said, causing him to quickly nod, and one Galapagos Field later, one of the barriers was destroyed, allowing them to escape, right as Sorcerymon ordered the captured Digimon to go after them.

Once they were out though, they got a bit of distance, and soon turned around. "Can't say I'm too happy about having to fight like this again, but guess we've got no choice," Emerald frowned.

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to stop them all without hurting them," Morphomon nodded as Emerald grabbed her Digivice and raised it as Morphomon prepared to Evolve.

"Morphomon, Evolution…!"

Buuut nothing happened.

"Uh...what?" Emerald blinked, as Morphomon looked just as confused. That always worked...normally.

"Nice try," Sorcerymon chuckled. "Unfortunately for you, you won't be Evolving as long as the Dark Tower's power is active."

"What?!" Norn gasped in shock.

"So you DID know after all huh?" Emerald frowned "Let me guess, you don't plan on letting us figure out where it is?"

"Correct." Sorcerymon chuckled as the many young Digimon walked out from the tent, all under his control "None of you will be leaving this place." he said darkly.

"Yeah, no," Emerald frowned, before looking at Norn and Igneetmon. "Carry me if you need to," she sighed, with a 'this is gonna suck' look, before she focused, focused hard, and suddenly the group was reeling back, various looks of surprise, and even Sorcerymon took a sudden jump back in shock. But that was all Emerald could manage to trigger as she felt her head hurt and she couldn't focus, breaking her Semblance, to which Igneetmon and Norn did as she asked, and with their help, the four of them soon made their escape for now.

By the time Sorcerymon regained his wits...they were already gone. "Find them! FIND THEM!" he roared.

Emerald groaned as she leaned against a wall inside one of the houses in the small town, a hand to her forehead "Damn it… I hate having to use it against a lot of people at once."

"Are you gonna be ok?" Morphomon asked her partner in worry.

"Yeah… just gonna have a headache for a bit." Emerald said with a sigh.

"Well, it's a good thing we found a place to hide at least." Igneetmon said, looking out a window with a frown, seeing the many Digimon that had rings on them patrolling the streets, looking for them.

"There's no way we're getting to the bike with them around, and we can't keep hiding forever…" Norn frowned.

"But we can't exactly fight back if I can't Evolve," Morphomon frowned.

"Not to mention we need to destroy that Dark Tower, wherever it is." Emerald added.

"In short, unless we figure something out, we're stuck here," Igneetmon frowned.

The group sighed at that, completely stumped as to WHAT they could do. However, right as they were almost at the end of their rope, the Crest around Emerald's neck started to glow softly. "Hm? What's this?" Emerald blinked, taking it off so she could have a closer look...to which the Crest seemed to tug into a certain direction.

"Is it...trying to lead us somewhere?" Norn blinked.

"Sure looks like it," Emerald frowned. "Man, what is it with this piece of jewelry? It's like it's alive or something…"

"I mean… considering it helped me reach Perfect… maybe it sort of is?" Morphomon said with a shrug.

"Right… good point." Emerald admitted before she got up "Well, if it's trying to guide us somewhere, might as well follow to see what's going on, it's probably something that could help."

"It's our best bet right now," Igneetmon frowned. "Now we're just gonna have to dodge the security…"

"Leave that one to me," Emerald sighed.

"You sure you should be doing that?" Morphomon asked in worry.

"It's either that or we get caught. It's not much of a choice," Emerald sighed.

"I think we should rely on your power as a last resort if possible." Igneetmon said "I mean, if it gives you a headache to use it for just a second… who says you won't get brain hemorrhaging if you use it for several minutes?"

"We'll be careful, so don't use that power of yours unless we really have to," Norn said with a frown.

"Don't worry, I'm not the type to cause self harm too easily," Emerald snorted lightly. "Thanks though," she smiled a bit.

"Hey, what are friends for? We look out for each other," Morphomon grinned.

Emerald nodded at that, before looking out the window, then down to her pendant "Right… let's go." she said seriously, before the group snuck back out of the building they were in.

They stuck to the alleys and back streets as they moved through the town, remaining patient to avoid being spotted by any of the controlled Digimon.

"Almost can't believe I'm saying this, but I liked the town better when they were tearing it apart for their own fun," Emerald frowned as they avoided another patrol.

"I think that's a feeling we can all agree with," Norn frowned. "Seeing them...anyone...like this is just wrong…"

"Well, that's why we'll just have to free them and destroy the Dark Tower, wherever it is." Morphomon frowned as they continued to follow the Crest.

Sneaking around carefully, they eventually found what seemed to be the source of whatever was directing them, which was…

"...you're kidding me." Emerald said in deadpan as they looked up at an ice cream parlor.

"Doesn't look like it is." Norn said as she looked at the Crest. "Maybe there's something in here that'll help us?"

"Only one way to find out," Emerald said, the group soon going through an alley and finding a backdoor. Quickly picking the lock, they soon gained entrance to the place. The first thing that hit them was well…

"Brrr...this place is cold, and not just because its an Ice Cream Parlor," Igneetmon shivered.

"Yeah, whoever owns this place turned the air conditioner way too low," Morphomon shivered as well.

"Let's not stay in here for too long," Emerald frowned, quickly following the Crest, which tugged towards… "Seriously?" she groaned, as it was inside one of the freezers. Resigning to her apparent immediate future, she walked into the freezer, her Aura keeping most of the biting cold at bay.

"There's a loooot of ice cream in here." Igneetmon noted idly as they walked inside.

"I bet those kids would have raided this place if they found it before they got turned into slaves." Morphomon added.

The group couldn't help but chuckle a bit at that one, especially by how true it was.

The Crest continued to guide them till they found what appeared to be a section that was very much frozen...and they noticed something glowing in the ice, matching the glow of the Crest.

The glow suddenly intensified for a moment, before the ice shattered, falling to the ground, while what was inside continued to float in the air, the glow dying down to reveal something that looked like a small white cocoon made of metal, with the crest printed on it in cool blue, slowly floating towards Emerald before landing in her hands.

"What is it?" Norn asked in wonder.

"I dunno, but its got the same symbol as this Crest thing. Maybe they're connected somehow?" Emerald blinked, examining the new item.

Their attention was suddenly drawn when they heard a light clapping not far behind them. Immediately on alert, they turned and saw a woman with short purple hair and glasses, an amused expression on her face. "Well done," she said. "Well done indeed."

"Who are you?" Emerald asked with a hard expression.

"You may call me Mirei." Mirei introduced herself "I came here to see just how the newest Chosen Child was doing."

"Chosen Child?" Norn said in confusion.

Mirei giggled mysteriously "Of course, any who bear a Crest are known as this."

"Wait… you mean like those guys that apparently saved the Digital World a while back?" Emerald asked.

"Indeed," Mirei chuckled. "Still, I admit I was quite surprised when my Master informed me of a new Crest created...and of the person who'd received it. Still, I can see he chose quite wisely."

"But...this is just something Norn found and gave to me," Emerald blinked.

"Believe what you wish. But more importantly, you're all in quite the predicament. That is why you were led to that Digimental," Mirei said. "With its power you will be able to undergo a special evolution known as Armor Evolution. It may not be as powerful as a Perfect level Digimon, but it can bypass the fields that the Dark Tower spreads. Use its power to free this town."

"Don't have to tell us twice, but how do we use it?" Morphomon asked.

"Simply call out 'Digimental Up!' while holding that Digimental and its power will activate," Mirei said, before turning away from them, and right as she took a step, she seemingly faded away.

"Wait, what the-?" Emerald said in confusion, going over to where Mirei had just been and feeling around "She's… gone?"

"Somehow… I don't think she was human." Igneetmon said in shock.

"But if she isn't human then...what is she?" Morphomon blinked.

"I...think that's a question for another time," Norn frowned. "At least we have an idea what to do with that," he said, looking at the Digimental.

"Guess we do. Only one way to find out if it works or not," Emerald frowned, before holding up the Digimental. "Digimental, Up!"

(Play 'Break Up!')

The void appeared as the Crest appeared and spun in the air, before Morphomon and the Digimental appeared, settling into a triangular formation with the Crest as all three rotated. "Morphomon, Armor Evolution…!" Morphomon called out as she and the Digimental soon made contact, before a burst of ice and snow came forth as she was soon cocooned in a large ice crystal, behind her a faded image of Hudiemon appeared followed by Papillonmon, and finally a shadowed image, before the ice burst open, revealing the new Digimon from within. The Digimon had a humanoid body, with four thin arms and a pair of thin legs, white armor covering most of her form, namely her arms, her torso, her thighs and the top of her head, with the helmet being vaguely shaped like a pointed hat and bearing the crest on it while a pair of antennae came out from two small holes on the helmet, while white fluff stuck out from beneath the armor, making it look like a pair of cuffs at her wrists and shoulders, almost like a skirt at her thighs, and like a high collar at her neck, hiding most of her face save for her eyes, her wings now mostly white, but still blue at the edges "Wondrous Redemption! Pierismon!"

Digimon Analyzer: Pierismon

Pierismon. Free Type. An Armor Level Insectoid Digimon. A Morphomon that evolved through the power of the Digimental of Redemption, gaining power over ice thanks to it. Digimon that don this Digimental will gain power over ice in all its forms, able to manipulate it as they see fit while they battle. Special attacks are Fimbulvinter, unleashing a massive blizzard that freezes anything in her path, and Frozen Wall, able to halt any attack, and also trap the enemy in its confines.

"Whoa...that actually worked," Emerald couldn't help but say.

"Glad I wasn't the only one who was a bit worried," Pierismon chuckled. "Now then, let's show Sorcerymon what happens when you mess with us."

With that said, the group soon made their exit from the building, an exit that soon drew attention, evident by the mon that soon came after them. Without hesitating the controlled mon opened fire, but…

"Frozen Wall!" Pierismon called out, creating a wall of ice in front of them, blocking all of the attacks, before she pushed forward, sending the wall forward, and suddenly it shifted, forming a large sphere...encasing the controlled Digimon and trapping them inside. "That should hold them for now," she frowned.

"First things first, we gotta deal with Sorcerymon and that Dark Tower. The problem is, how do we find it?" Igneetmon frowned.

"...let's find Sorcerymon," Norn suggested. "He has to know where it is, and failing that, if he's gone, nobody will be controlling the Digimon here, right?"

"...that works," everyone said.

Finding Sorcerymon wouldn't be easy, but they had a plan. After all...if they took out as many of the controlled Digimon as they could, they were bound to draw his attention eventually. Taking out patrols one after another, be it freezing them temporarily or destroying the rings to free them, they slowly made their way through the town, and eventually found another large group of controlled Digimon...near the carnival rides, specifically near what appeared to be one of those dropping tower rides.

Standing right behind the group of Digimon was Sorcerymon, looking rather angry with them "You… how dare you mess with my plans? And how did you even evolve?! The tower shouldn't even let you do that!"

"Wouldn't you like to know," Pierismon chuckled.

"Here's the deal, shut down the tower and we'll let you walk away from this. Alternatively we can kick your butt THEN shut down the tower!" Emerald said with a frown.

"You think just because you found a way around the Tower's power that you can defeat me? I still have an army at my side!" Sorcerymon laughed as the Digimon he had under his control charged forward but…

"Frozen Wall!" Pierismon called out, soon entrapping several of them in ice again.

Sorcerymon blinked, before glaring. "So perhaps you do have some power. No matter, I can handle you myself!" he declared, before several large warriors made of ice were conjured and charged forward.

The group acted quickly, and evaded the warriors, while Pierismon weaved around them, evading their strikes...which were always pretty wide for some reason. Even so, she was quick to evade, though she did manage to tag them a few times here and there, yet there didn't seem to be any real effect.

"Just give up already! There's nothing you can do to stop my-!" Sorcerymon laughed...right before Pierismon snapped her fingers...and the ice warriors crumbled. "...wat?"

"Funny thing about this new form, I'm able to control ice as well. That includes making your 'ice warriors' more brittle," Pierismon chuckled. "Neat trick, huh?"

"If you like tricks, then you'll love THIS!" Sorcerymon growled, waving his staff, and creating a number of ice constructs that either fired or lunged at her, but Pierismon all but danced around the attacks, repeating what she did before as she slowly made her way towards Sorcerymon.

Sorcerymon however was too focused on trying to pummel her with his creations...that he literally didn't fully realize how close she was getting till she was close enough to land a strong kick. Right in the face. A kick strong enough to literally send him flying.

"Ooooh! That's gonna leave a mark," Emerald winced but the smirk she had made it clear she wasn't feeling particularly empathetic to Sorcerymon. Sorcerymon himself was sent flying so hard that he actually crashed into one of the rides, specifically the drop ride, making a small hole in the tower's body...which broke away further, revealing a pitch black structure inside of it.

"I think we just found the Dark Tower," Norn said.

"In that case we know what we have to do!" Igneetmon agreed.

"One frozen tower, coming up!" Pierismon smirked, before gathering her energy as a magic circle appeared before her. "Fimbulvinter!" she called out as a MASSIVE blast of ice and snow shot forth, pelting the tower AND the still recovering Sorcerymon. He tried to put up some defense, but it was no good as the tower and himself soon froze over, trapping it all into a block of ice, before Pierismon flew over, and with a light tap, shattered the whole thing. "The end," she said, before landing on the ground and reverting to Morphomon, the Digimental flying towards Emerald and soon entered her Scroll much to her surprise.

(Song End)

"What the…?" she trailed off in confusion, pulling her Scroll out and opening it to see an app on the main screen, showing her Crest on it "Is this how I use it again?" she wondered.

"Could be." Morphomon said as she flew over "It kinda felt different to how I normally evolve, but I liked it, it was pretty interesting."

"Looks like the Digimon he was controlling are gonna be alright at least." Igneetmon said, looking over at all the young Digimon that were slowly getting up, the Dark Rings falling off of them as they came to their senses.

"In that case, I think we can move on from here now." Norn smiled "We've filled up the bike, we've gotten plenty of supplies, and we saved the Digimon."

Emerald nodded with a smile of her own "Yeah, only thing left to do now is to head to the Holy Highlands." she said, taking out her compass for emphasis.

"Then let's keep moving. The sooner we get there, the better," Norn said, earning several nods of agreement as they made a beeline for the bike, and were soon on the road once again.

And there!

Yeah, things almost got bad on Folder.

But Emerald and her group stopped it before it got too bad.

As well, we have another brand new, original Digimon made just for the story, Pierismon.

Her design, for reference, is basically a humanoid venezuelan poodle moth wearing armor that makes her look like an armored up witch.

...a certain moth vtuber might have influenced my choice on the design, namely in having multiple arms and a fluff collar.

And, yeah, the confirmation, to some of you, that Emerald is considered a Chosen Child now, because a certain somebody up top felt she deserved a chance, along with the name of her Crest, the Crest of Redemption.

Ratter fitting, yeah?

Anyway, hope you enjoyed, because...
