Also, notice how Ruby was, a little more than willing to just let Cyril continue what she thought he was about to do?
Samejake: Thank you!
A Dancing Leaf: glad I could make you laugh!

Cyril Leon POV
.
Waking up with a sigh. I stretch, or at least I try to. My right arm is being held down by the weight on my chest.
Opening my eyes, the bottom half of my vision is covered in white. And the, insignificance of the weight tells me just what, or rather who it is.
The ear flicking does little to hide her identity either.
Weiss is asleep on me. Sideways on my chest as she cradles my right arm. Her tail curled over her waist as she slumbers.
'Didn't we just have a thing about Ruby slipping into bed with me?' I think tiredly at the little hypocrite.
"Weiss." I say softly, jostling her in my arms. "Time to get up."
"Rmm." She moans, turning around on me as she goes from sideways, to face to face. Burying her face in my chest as she takes a deep breath, she looks up at me with half lidded eyes as she gives a soft smile. "Good morning, my rugged warrior."
She's half asleep.
"Hmmph." I give a small chuckle at her words. "So I'm your rugg-mrph."
She cuts me off with a kiss. Wrapping her arms around my head as she pulls herself in.
This girl, even half asleep is addicted to kisses.
"Ha." She moans as she comes back for air. "You have the most gentle touch, my dear warrior."
"Anything for my princess." I play along, intent on teasing her over this later.
Though, apparently that was the wrong thing to say. As she furrows her brow at me. Before her eyes grow wide as she looks around.
"Yes, you are awake." I say, causing her face to burst into color.
"Y-you fiend!" She curses as she shoots up, causing her to straddle my lap with her knees at my hips.
'Don't get a boner.' I scream at myself.
"You, you tricked me!" She accuses, putting her hands on my chest to distance us. "Here I am, keeping watch over you to make sure you stay safe and you take advantage of me!"
Okay that sounds way worse when taken out of context. And kills any mood I have been developing.
"You were asleep." I point out. "On me."
"If I fell asleep it's only because I grew tired while keeping watch over you!" She defends, her tail now straight up and puffed out as her ears splay back.
"So, you rested, on me?" I ask.
"Th-there was no where else in close reach!" She defends, her arms going slack.
"Uh, huh." I say as I bring a hand up and hit the reset, earning a groan instead of an eep from her this time. "Now, the truth?"
"I-I gave you the truth." She whines, her voice lowering significantly as she pushes her head into my hand.
"We both know that's a lie." I say as she slowly comes back to rest on my chest.
"No it's, not." She says weakly as she starts to drift back asleep in my arms.
"Sure it isn't." I chuckle, realizing I'm not getting any more teasing in.
"Rmm." She groans as she rubs her head on my chest. "You're warm, and, rmm."
"And what?" I ask as I rub her head.
"I'unno." She says in a low tone. "Just shut up and hold me."
"You're bossy today." I chuckle as her tail wraps around the arm holding her back.
"Rmm'not boshy." She says as she drifts back to sleep in my arms.
"Sure you're not." I chuckle as I rest my head back.

Ruby Rose POV
.
I got the picture!
Yes!
Soon as I get to Vale, this is getting printed and put into the scrap book!
Also, note to self. Advance to kisses. And come up with a combo name to call out in battle. Seeing them here I'm thinking, Moonlight.
Yeah. The future is coming up Ruby.

.
Cyril Leon POV
.
Out in Vale for a day off, It's Ruby's turn to choose the activity. And she suggested we travel Vale city for a bit before returning to Beacon for some video games.
The four of us in casuals, could not look more out of place. Blake is in a soft purple, eastern style dress with yellow vine stitching. Weiss, is in a dress that looks like her volume four outfit, only white instead of blue, and with less gems. Ruby is in a black hoodie with red rose icons and dark blue jeans.
Also, I forgot how short Volumes one and two are, because the Vytal festival is in two months. And the exchange students are coming in two weeks.
Haven't seen or heard of the White Fang, Roman has been making scenes but nothing more than canon. Overall, I'm, cautiously pessimistic. If I see Cinder, I'll warn Ozpin and run. Because fuck that bitch.
That's the plan until I can learn more. Until then, I, am in a white tee-shirt with a red jacket. And baggy black jeans. My axes holstered at my sides because I refuse to leave them anywhere not in reach. And I'm wearing boots with small rectangular sunglasses on.
I honestly look like Ben 10 Albedo trying to be a greaser but Ruby assures me I look good.
"And we need to head to Bulwark's Brassworks for ammunition." Weiss recites from the list as she walks ahead of us. "Afterwards Blake wants to head to Tukson's Book Store, Ruby wants to go to Anima Anime, whatever that is, and, Cyril!"
Weiss turns to me with a glare. Hands on her hips as her gaze bores into my shaded eyes.
"Yes?" I ask the huffy girl.
She holds up the paper and points to my addition.
"Cyril want food." She says.
"Yeah." I shrug. "Thought after everything we'd be hungry."
Weiss glares at me for a bit before tapping the sheet.
"That is not proper sentence structure." She says as her ears splay back.
' Okay ya grammer nazi.' I think sarcastically before realizing that Weiss, well, canon Weiss, that applies too well.
"The purpose of the written word is the preservation and dissemination of ideas without the need to verbalize them in person." I recite an argument I once had thrown at me in debate. "The exact structure of the message, is secondary to its primary purpose."
Ah, the pettiness and nitpicking nature of earth's politics. I hate you so much, no matter how entertaining you are.
"W-words inseminate ideas?" Ruby stutters next to me. Causing Blake to face palm.
Not touching that one!
"The only idea this propagates is that you intend to annoy me!" Weiss accuses as Blake explains to Ruby that words do not, do that.
"Maybe." I shrug with a smirk.
Weiss stares at me. Unimpressed for several seconds before taking the paper, and ripping it down the middle. She then turns around and struts off.
"Weiss!" Ruby shouts as she runs after her. "Stop! You're going the wrong way!"
"Did you actually write that to annoy her?" Blake asks, walking next to me with her arms crossed as she and I watch Ruby give chase.
"Pfft. No." I scoff as Ruby catches up to Weiss. "I was half awake when she told me to write down what I wanted to do today."
"Hmm." Blake hums as they turn around and head back. Weiss still looking to be in a huff.
"Do not mistake my return for happiness." Weiss says. "I'm still upset."
"Sure you are." I say as I pat her head. Causing a frown, and a swaying tail to let me know she likes it, before she bats my hand away. Giving me a glare as she does.
"Hmph!" She huffs and walks past me. Heading in the right direction this time as she does.
"You know, I was the one who brought her back." Ruby says haughtily.
Looking to the smug girl. I just shrug noncommittally. Which causes her to cough, and flick her ears.
Rolling my eyes, I rub her head as well. Earning a small blush from the girl.
"Get a room." Blake says with a tired sigh before walking off to follow Weiss.
Raising a brow to the girl in confusion. I look back to the happy Ruby.
"What's her deal?" I ask.
"She's just jealous." Ruby says before grabbing my hand and pulling me along. "Come on! We don't wanna lose them!"
"You have too much energy!" I call out as she drags me along.
.
.
-Anima Anime, 12:30pm-
.
.
"Yes!" Ruby shouts as she charges into the store of, well, nothing but knockoff anime. With a plastic statue of an edgy, red scarfed buff man wearing way too many belts.
I mean, I have a few more belts than needed. But I keep them stashed in case I need them. Like for a makeshift tourniquet, or if I need to hold something down. Really the only thing more useful is rope or bungee cord.
"So this is just, Mistralian pop culture?" Weiss asks with a curious, and somewhat worried expression as she looks around the store's interior.
"I think it's a niche subsection of it." I say as I look towards the manga section.
"How would you know?" Blake asks. "Didn't you grow up in a cult?"
"No?" I answer, genuinely confused. "What makes you think that?"
"Cyril you worship nine unknown gods and were raised in isolation." Blake says as she walks past me.
Okay, I get that I've been vague about my past. But, where and how on earth, or, Remnant I guess. Did they come to the conclusion that I was raised in a cult? I mean, I knew someone who was raised in a cult. And outside of their common sense, and distain for organized religion, they were a, normal, oh.
Okay I see it now.
"I wasn't isolated." I say defensively.
"You've never seen a Faunus before Ruby." Weiss points out. "And you weren't even aware of the Faunus tribes."
She then walks away, leaving me to think on, things.
…
Nope! Let's see what flavor of brain rot I can find in here.
.
.
Weiss Schnee POV
.
Leaving to let Ruby check out what she wants to, I find myself drawn to the music section. Deciding to do my best to enjoy the, establishment.
'Are all, common stores so crowded?' I find myself wondering.
Everything is placed so close together. It's difficult to move around without taking measured steps. The aisles are only large enough for singular individuals to move through. Hardly any personal space at all.
"WEISS!" Ruby says as she appears next to me with a large, round, white pillow in her arms.
"Ruby!" I hiss at the overly excitable girl. "I am right here, there is no need to shout."
"Sorry." She says, withdrawing a bit, before quickly recovering and holding up the pillow. "Look at this!"
Rolling my eyes at the girl's attitude. I compose myself as I look at the white, fox, plush. Completely round with large fox ears and a white tail hanging from behind it. Black beaded eyes and a stitched line face.
"Ruby, why?" I ask tiredly.
"Well, I saw it and, it made me think of you." She says softly as her ears fall. "Do you, not like it?"
Closing my eyes, I think about how to put it delicately.
"Ruby, that's a children's toy." I point out.
"W-well yeah but." She says, hiding behind it. "Cute."
…
Okay I will admit the site of her hiding behind a plush with a loose connection to me, is admittedly, endearing. But that is besides the point.
"You're such a child." I sigh as I pinch the bridge of my nose.
"C-can I get it?" She asks.
"Ruby, why would you need my permission to purchase it?" I ask.
"Well, if you don't like it, then I won't get it." She says plainly.
The sentiment is appreciated. Let that be noted.
"Very well." I relent tiredly. "Ruby, I don't mind if you get that."
She smiles brightly at my confirmation. A sight I, don't necessarily dislike.
"Eeeeee!" She squeals before disappearing.
Is it bad that I find her enthusiasm and optimism endearing?
"What was that about?" Blake asks as I hear her walk up behind me.
"Ruby found a misshapen plush of a white fox and wanted to see if I'd be upset if she got it." I say as I turn to my partner. "Find anything you like?"
"No, and honestly?" She remarks before gaining a look of disgust. "This place is, yeah I don't like it."
That's odd. Blake is a combative person by nature. But usually there's a reason, even if the reason is, misconceived.
"Is there a particular reason?" I ask, curious as to what could be upsetting her.
"There's just a lot of, Faunus fetishizing here." She says uncomfortably.
That's, concerning to say the least. Also because this place is Ruby's pick.
"I haven't seen anything of the sort." I remark, hoping it's just Blake taking things out of context.
"You also didn't see the figurines." Blake counters. " Or some of the posters."
"I highly doubt it's that bad." I retort as I cross my arms. "I feel an establishment wouldn't last long if they consistently paraded offensive material."
Blake crosses her arms and regards me with a flat look. One I recognize as that of disbelief.
"What?" I ask, not sure to her implication.
"Nothing." My partner says with a shake of her head as she uncrosses her arms. "Have you seen Cyril?" She asks.
"I believe he went to the right of the store to see what comics and novels they have." I answer. "Why?"
"Because I want to leave as soon as possible." She says as she turns around. "And leaving him behind will only cause problems."
I want to say something in regards to that. But there is nothing I can say that'll not be untrue. Cyril may not be one start things, normally, but he has no issue escalating them.
Following Blake around to the opposite end of the store, moving around the other consumers. We eventually find Cyril reading through a book of some sort, a dead look on his face. As he looks up to us.
"Um, you good?" Blake asks.
"Do you ever wonder if the gods hide in the heavens, because they fear their creations?" He asks in a low, haunted tone.
That, is a profoundly deep and disturbing thing to say. One that, I dare not dwell on.
"Cyril, what are you on?" Blake asks, sounding as disturbed as I am.
Cyril tosses us the book he was just looking through. Blake catches it and reads the title, gaining a, disturbed look on her face.
"This, this is why I don't trust humans." Blake says as she hands me the book.
Now more perplexed than before, I read the title of the book.
(My Foxy Faunus Step-Sister Can't Be This Cute!)
…
What?
My curiosity getting the better of me, I quickly flip through the book. Turns out it's a picture book in black and white.
And, oh god!
'Th-th-they're related!' I find myself horrified at the scene I find myself on.
"I believe we're done here." I say as I close the book and set it on a shelf. Not caring as to whether or not it is the correct location. "If you need me I'll be waiting outside."
"Same." Blake says.
"I'll, find Ruby." Cyril sighs.

-Vale Commercial District, 1:30pm-

.
Cyril Leon POV
.
"And I think it's highly inappropriate to have such content in an open space where anyone can walk in and discover it!" Weiss says as she types on her scroll.
She's uh, leaving a scathing review of the place. Sound harmless? Yeah, until you realize she's sending it from her official account. And she's been typing it up for the last fifteen minutes.
"Weiss it's the only place I can get Huntress Jasmine merchandise without paying the ridiculous shipping fees!" Ruby pleads. "Please! It's a fifty two percent markup!"
"You could post the review anonymously." I suggest as we walk.
"And why would I do that?" Weiss asks, turning to me. "And why do you care? You're a victim of that establishments poor product placement as well!"
"Agreed." I say. "I am forever scarred for life from what I saw. I may never be normal again from my experience-"
"That implies you were normal at some point." Blake cuts me off as we turn the corner.
"Fair." I point to address her, before swinging the point over to Weiss. " But, I think an anonymous, constructive critique is better here. If what Ruby says is true, you could destroy a small business by attaching the review to your name."
"Yes! What he said!" Ruby says pointing to me with hope. "That, construction critic stuff!"
Weiss looks between the two of us thoughtfully. She then sighs as she goes back to typing on her phone.
"Fine, I'll proceed with a more, measured response." Weiss concedes before muttering under her breath. "Ten minutes of carefully chosen words just gone."
"Thank you." Ruby gives a tired sigh of relief.
"Hey, where are we going?" I ask as we come across a plaza with Atlas soldiers walking around.
"Wherever Weiss is going." Ruby says with a shrug, causing Weiss to look up from her scroll and scowl at the girl.
"Wherever I, Ruby!" Weiss exclaims. "I was following you."
"But we've been following you all day!" Ruby counters.
" You're the one who knows Vale like the back of your hand!" Weiss says.
Looking around as the two bicker back and forth. I take in the public square and things start to seem, familiar. As the stage is being set and soldiers are guiding people around the stage they're setting up. Looking left and right around everywhere as Blake gets out her scroll and starts, doing whatever. I notice something that catches my eye.
A blonde man in jeans, and a white open shirt running our way. With police following close behind him, but losing ground as he outpaces them.
"Stop that Faunus!" One of them shouts, gaining the attention of, well the Faunus around me as he approaches us.
Blake and Ruby look over and Ruby actually gestures to herself in confusion.
I roll my eyes as the monkey Faunus rushes past us. Followed by three police officers, one of which stops in front of us to catch his breath.
"What's going on?" Weiss asks.
"St-stowaway." The officer pants, then looks to me. "Why, didn't you stop him?"
"Me?" I ask, pointing to myself.
"You're a Hunter aren't you?" He huffs as he stands up and gestures to the axes on my hips.
"In training, yeah." I answer and use my semblance to give myself time to think. "I've only fought Grimm and other Hunters in training. Against a civilian, I might hurt them beyond what is necessary."
The officer huffs a bit more before shaking his head and running off to follow his colleagues.
"Someone skipped leg day." I comment as he jogs off.
"Cyril we do not berate the peace keeping forces of Vale." Weiss says. "Even if they clearly need an update to their physical standards."
"Wait, didn't you just, but." Ruby starts to wrap her mind around Weiss's contradiction.
"Follow me." Blake says as she walks off in the opposite direction.
Shrugging and having nothing better to do. I follow her, might lead to something interesting.
"Wah, I, Blake!" Weiss calls out as she follows us. "Where are you going!?"
.
.
-Galubi Sushi cookout-
.
.
"Ooh it's been so long since I had some good sushi!" I comment as my plate of sashimi arrives.
Sushi is a much more widespread dish. Cheaper too. With limited food sources, people can't be too picky with what they eat. So, raw fish that's cleaned and prepared for consumption, is far more normal here than it is on earth.
"So, I just, eat it? Like this?" Weiss asks. Looking at the fish as though it might come back to life the moment she moves it to her mouth.
Except Atlas. To them, raw anything is peasant food.
"Yep!" I say as I bite into my, you know I'm not sure. I got excited and just pointed to a picture.
Still good!
"Come on Weiss, it's good!" Ruby says before she eats her squid.
"If this is another trick." Weiss whines as she holds her fork in front of her.
"Weiss if you keep being that cute I'm going to hold your hand and kiss your cheek." I threaten.
Which gets the intended result of her stammering and acting angry. Recovering enough to glare at me.
"And what kind of- umph!" She starts before Ruby forces the food into her mouth with one hand, and brings the other hand up to rub her head.
"There, see it's not bad!" Ruby says encouragingly.
"Rm." Weiss swallows. "It's chewy." She whines, her ears splayed back as a small blush appears on her face.
"If you don't like, I'll take it." I offer, only for her to take another bite. Earning a smile from Ruby.
"And I lost my appetite." Blake sighs.
"Oh don't tell me you're homophobic on top of being racist." I roll my eyes.
"What? No!" Blake says before gesturing to the two in front of us. "There's a time and place, the balcony of a restaurant, is not one of them!"
'So she's just adverse to PDA then?' I think to myself.
"Sounds like you're just jealous." I say as I pick up another piece of sushi.
"I am not jealous." Blake says.
"Ya sound pretty jealous to me." I hear the familiar voice say behind us.
Me and Blake turn to face the sound, Blake looking less surprised than me. And sure enough, Sun Wukong. Sitting on the balcony railing.
"Sup?" He waves.
"Hey!" Weiss says. "You're that stowaway!"
"Guilty!" He holds a hand up and grins.
.
.
"So you hid in a crate for a week because you didn't want to pay for travel fees?" Blake asks, dumbfounded.
"Yep, pretty much." He shrugs as the waiter brings over his plate of dessert sushi. "Thank you!" He thanks the man.
"Eh, I respect it." I say with a shrug.
"Cyril!" Weiss chastises. "Criminal behavior and delinquency should not be encouraged nor condoned!"
I'm just surprised she stopped staring at Sun's chest long enough to pay attention.
Yes, I'm a little bit irritated at that. But it's not like I expect her to do anything. I think. Ruby made it clear she only expects me and Weiss to date in the team.
…
I really need a sit down with them over this.
"Hey." I say as I put my hands up in mock surrender. "I'm of the opinion that if you can get away with something, then you just wanted it more than the other guy."
"So you're condoning theft now?" Weiss asks with a glare.
" No, I'm condoning victimless crimes." I reinforce. "That being said, I also believe that if you get caught, you're an idiot."
That is not the correct response it seems. As Weiss continues to glare at me.
"Cyril you're not making it better." Ruby whispers.
"Anyway, Sun." Blake pipes up and gets us back on topic. "Why'd you seek us out?"
"Oh, easy!" He says as he points a pair of chopsticks at me. "I recognize a fellow Hunter in training when I see them. And wanted to pick this guy's brain a bit."
He recognizes me as the Hunter here? That's so funny, it honestly makes me laugh.
"What?" Sun asks with a raised brow. "Are you not from Beacon? Are you visiting from Atlas?"
"He's-" Weiss starts.
"Nobody tell him!" I cut her off. "It's funnier if he finds out on his own."
"Finds out what?" He asks, looking between all of us. "Is he not a Huntsmen in training?"
"No, no I am." I say, getting my laughter under control.
"Then, what's so funny?" Sun asks as Ruby snickers and takes her hood off, revealing her silver eyes.
"Oh hey! We all Faunus here? That's, o-oh." He says, noticing Ruby's ears before her eyes. "I meant no offence! Not the Faunus thing, the Hunter thing. Oh, wow do I feel dumb."
Now he's getting it.
"This is your harem." He says to Ruby.
'Never fucking mind then!' I think as I start laughing my ass off. 'Fuck it! This is better!'
"Mah bah da huh!?" She immediately stutters. "No it's not, I mean me and Cyril, Weiss and, maybe not Blake, but maybe we and you just I don't think she's we're technically-"
It's at this point that she covers her face with her hood as she screams into it. While Weiss just rests her head in her hand as she glares at me for laughing.
"Okay! Okay." I say as I get my laughter under control. "We're not Ruby's harem."
"Thank you." Weiss nods.
"Just me and Weiss. Blake is a work in progress." I add quickly.
"Pffftt! Ca, cack!" Blake spits up and starts choking on her food. Pounding on her chest to get her breath back.
Sun is, understandably confused.
.
.
-Beacon, SLBR Dorms, 3:40pm-
.
.
"Alright." I say as we enter the room.
All of our stuff is being sent by delivery. The, books, and Ruby's giant plush, mine too.
I got a black wolf for the joke. And fuck they're expensive. No wonder Ruby was so desperate to keep the store open. Even if they need to put some of their stuff in an adult section.
"Blake, can you step out?" I ask the girl.
"Um, why?" The cat Faunus asks dubiously.
"Because I need to talk to Ruby and Weiss about our relationship." I say, causing the girl to snap her fingers and point at the door as she leaves immediately.
Social awkwardness. The killer of all.
"Cyril?" Weiss asks cautiously.
"Y-you meant that as like, a way to get her out and spend time alone with us? Right?" Ruby says nervously with a growing blush as her ears splay back. "I-I mean that's kind of mean and, if you wanted to spend time alone with we could always, there's the library and-"
As adorable as her ramblings are. I need to get this through to her.
"Ruby." I cut her off. "There's been some, misunderstandings I feel need clearing."
Weiss composes herself, clearly uncomfortable yet willing to talk. Holding her hands in front of her poignantly.
"Very well Cyril." Weiss says with a nod. "What do you believe needs addressing?"
"Us." I say, causing her ears to twitch and her tail to stiffen.
"Ar-are you breaking up with us?" Ruby asks with a heart wrenching tone.
"No!" I put a hand up. "No, I just. How does this, work? The three of us?"
Weiss cocks a brow as Ruby calms down. Also confused at my question.
"We're, dating." Ruby says, confused at me not getting it. "I'm dating you and Weiss, Weiss is dating you and me. You're dating me and Weiss."
"Weiss and I." Weiss goes ignored.
I got that part. It's what dating means here that I don't understand.
"And what does dating mean?" I ask.
Weiss and Ruby share a concerned look between each other. Before looking back to me.
"Courtship occurs between two or more individuals with the intent to eventually find out if they should marry or not." Weiss says clinically.
"We, spend time together, go out and do things. Hug, k-kiss, amnd well we emventually, when it's right we'll mm, y'know." Ruby mumbles more and more towards the end before picking back up. "Then when we get older and become financially secure, we start a family."
Nice to know she has it thought out at least.
"Are there, others involved in this?" I ask, earning a glare from Ruby.
"Are you thinking of cheating on us!?" She stomps her foot.
"No!" I defend. "I just don't know how this works okay?! Back home only two people would date at a time and never more than that."
"Ever?" Weiss furrows her brow. "Even in Atlas, mistresses and paramours are common and accepted. So long as no children are produce from the joining, then it is perfectly acceptable."
That's, both surprising and somehow not.
"See that?" I point out. "That's not a thing where I'm from."
"But, why?" Ruby asks. "Aren't you concerned about having children? What if someone you love turns out infertile, or sterile, or you just fall out of love?"
I just shrug. Not knowing how to answer that, admittedly very complicated and loaded question.
"Well, adoption and surrogates are always an option for children." I answer uncertainly. "As for falling out of love? Well, it's, sad. But, something you just have to live through I guess."
"What's a surrogate?" Weiss asks with a curious tilt of her head.
"Something people do when they want to raise a child from birth, but one of them can't conceive, is that they'll ask a friend or, hire someone, to assist in either, carrying the baby or, helping produce it." I answer as best I can without getting crude.
Weiss and Ruby just stare at me for a bit. Before looking to each other. Ruby just shrugs uncertainly.
"Cyril, at that point why would they not just have been courting another?" Weiss asks.
"I don't know!?" I say desperately. "That's just, how it is?"
"That's, and you wonder why we assume you were raised in a cult." Weiss sighs tiredly.
'From my perspective this is cult like.' I can't help but think.
"Well, to answer your question." Ruby says. "You, me, Weiss. Maybe Blake if she ever gets over her issues."
"Not happening." I say immediately.
"We'll talk about it later." Ruby shrugs. "But, does that answer it? It's just us, no one else."
Thinking on it, and how they were confused at the idea of sleeping outside of us. I, think I have most of my concerns addressed.
"Yeah that answers it for me." I say.
"Sooo." Ruby says as she takes a step forward, eyes wide and curious. "You're not breaking up with us?"
Nice to see her priorities.
"No Ruby." I chuckle as I put a hand to her head and rub. "I'm not breaking up with you two."
Weiss lets out a sigh of relief as I say that. Relaxing a bit as her tail goes slack. Before seeing me smirk at her and crosses her arms, looking away with a huff.
"That's good!" Ruby says with a sigh as she steps away from me with a small blush and a look of relief.
She fidgets with her fingers a little before waving a hand down. Motioning me to come closer.
Doing so, she grabs my face and kisses me. It's a chaste, quick, two second kiss before she separates with a smile and massive blush. Stepping away with a squeal.
"Eeeee! Ah!" She squeals as she takes her hood and pulls it down to cover her face before petalling to her bed.
Me and Weiss watch as Ruby squeals into her pillow while kicking her feet.
Rolling my eyes. I walk over to the door and open it. Finding Blake against the wall and texting on her phone. Scroll, fuck that'll never not be difficult.
"Hey, you're good." I say to the girl who looks up with a bored expression.

Weiss Schnee POV

"So, he was definitely raised in a cult." I say to Ruby.
"We're not sure just yet." She says as she leans on the sink.
"Isolated, pure human community, he knows Menagerian board games but not that the Faunus have nine established ethnicities. He has the basics of math down yet insists on overpaying staff by an eighteen to twenty percent margin. Nine gods, some of whom have Faunus features yet for some reason aren't Faunus." I start listing off. "And, he had no idea that silver eyes were considered a big deal."
All of it is not painting a pretty picture. His insistence on living a normal life, yet everything about his life that he's told is anything but.
"Well, yeah." Ruby concedes. "Bu-"
We're both brought from our talk by the sound of crashing and a struggle. Instincts taking over, we rush out of the bathroom and into the dorm where we see a tall, dark haired, red eyed man holding Cyril.
And then I smell it. The drink. Mother has the smell consistently enough that I recognize it anywhere.
"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby says excitedly, waking up Blake.
"Hey puppers!" The man says as he holds an arm under Cyril's chin. "Just need to have a chat with the kid here, man to man."
Blake grabs her gun from beside her bed and aims it, only for the man to jump out the window with Cyril.
"Fuck not agaaaaiin!" Cyril cries out.
"Cyril!" I cry out as I run to the window, looking out and seeing nothing, I turn back to my teammate. "Ruby! That was your uncle!?"
"Yeah." She says with a smile.
"He just kidnapped Cyril!" I point out.
"He'll bring him back!" Ruby waves it off.
"Um, what did he mean by, not again?" Blake pipes up. "Also why are we calm about this?"
" We're not!" I say to my partner before turning back to Ruby. "Ruby this completely- wait."
I then recall what Cyril said about being kidnapped by a drunk.
"What?" Ruby asks.
"Didn't Cyril say he was kidnapped to Beacon by a drunk?" Blake says for me.
"Ruby was your uncle the one that kidnapped Cyril, the first time!?" I ask, not believing the words that came out of my mouth.
"What?!" Ruby says before waving it off. "Pssht, no. Uncle Qrow would nev- actually now that I think about it he would. Hmm."
Ruby stops and thinks for a minute. Hand to her chin as she taps her foot.
"Ruby!" I stress.
"I'm sure he had a good reason!" Ruby defends.
"RUBY!"

Interracial relations, Qrow edition
.

So, Faunus and Humans. It's no secret that relations between the two are, varied, depending on who you ask. For example, ask me, and I'll tell you there's no difference, 'sides one of them getting a genetic leg up on the other.
To Humans, Faunus are an enigma. Simply put, they're different. And with that, comes a sense of fear, and desire. A fear of the unknown we all posses deep down. And, a desire to understand, to unravel the enigma, and conquer that fear. Through better or worse means. Not gonna go too into it, but let's just say there's a reason most Faunus, won't see a Human doctor unless they're from Sanus. That, and we've known that Faunus are, biologically compatible with Humans, and that Faunus genes are dominant, for a long time.
Hey, someone had to get curious. Not that I blame them.
To the Faunus however, Humans are brutish and xenophobic by nature. But also, feeble and, pitiable. They see us the same way we see a rabid puppy. Dangerous and ready to attack anything it doesn't like. They're not wrong.
But they also see us in that same light, as something that is jealous of them and their gifts. Hell, there's a medical diagnosis for Faunus that lack night vision. And it's see as a disability. That should tell you all you need.
Now, when interacting, miscommunication and misunderstandings are bound to happen. From a shared perspective, there are a lot of misconceptions between the two.
Most Faunus, find it hard to comprehend not being able to see in the dark. I once got asked how I can live my life just, blindfolded half the time. Hell, Summer once wore a pair of sunglasses at night, just to see what we saw, and spent the next month baby proofing the room for when the lights went out.
Then there's the, misconceptions about Faunus. Those are more numerous. For example, estrus. No, Faunus women do not go into heat. That is a myth more likely to get you slapped before anything else. Then, there's the misconception of allergies, no a cat Faunus will not cause your cat allergies to act up.
Doesn't help that, well. A lot of smaller things are true. Cat Faunus tend to like fish, fish Faunus are better swimmers, and wolf Faunus have slightly larger canine teeth. Small difference. But, if one of the things humans are good at. Is taking small things, and making them seem bigger than they actually are.
All that said, there is one that has some truth to it. Faunus features, can be sensitive. Not always, special spot sensitive. But sensitive enough that if you try petting a wolf Faunus, they may actually bite you if you're not close like that.
It's a thing of endearment. You don't just walk up to a stranger and kiss'em on the forehead after all. That'll get you strange looks at best, and a generous slap more often than not.
Trust me on that one.

A/N
The reason everyone kept assuming Cyril was the Hunter, is because he was the only one actively carrying his weapons on his person.
.
Also, in case it wasn't obvious, Ruby has a type. Atlesian.
Cyril, is an ass man.
And Weiss prefers dominant, outgoing partners.
.
And Cyril has been giving headpats, not knowing that it's a step down from kissing for Faunus.
