And we're FINALLY back people!

Yeah, I know, been a while, but we were working on other stuff for a while, and then Timeless had to go on a trip, but since he's back, we jumped right back into this.

So without further ado, let's go!

Storm's Interlude

Things were lively at the location known as Paradiso Castle. With the defeat of the Digimon Emperor, Oren didn't waste time in coordinating efforts to rebuild the damages that were left in the Emperor's wake. The effort to do so was soon centered around Paradiso Castle where various groups worked tirelessly to coordinate and execute the rebuilding efforts.

"Ok, how's the south looking?" Jaune said with a sigh, sitting down at a table with a holographic map of Server being displayed.

"They're doing pretty good right now." Gomamon said, standing on the table "Said they were fine for now, and that they'd call if they needed anymore help."

"Looks like things are going smoothly. Everyone's chipping in to help. Almost hard to believe we were fighting each other not that long ago," Jaune chuckled a bit at the end.

"That's what happens when you get a common enemy, and have the sense to NOT go straight back to fighting each other," Gomamon snorted.

"Yeah, that's a big help," Jaune nodded, before shifting his focus to a different section of the map and bringing up the communications with that area, revealing an image of Oren. "How is progress in your sector? Need any help?" Jaune asked.

"No issues here. The rebuilding efforts are going smoothly," Oren said with a small smile as currently he was with Weiss, Rusty, and Aile, the four of them leading the rebuilding efforts on a town that had been badly damaged, various Digimon from both his army as well as the Resistance forces were working together to repair the town, thus things were being restored at a faster rate.

"Okay, if you need anything, be sure to let us know. Things are going pretty smoothly in the other areas too as far as we're seeing," Jaune nodded.

"Alright, thanks for that," Oren smiled a bit before they ended the call.

He was honestly glad that, in the end, he'd finally listened to the others, because now maybe he finally COULD make something close to his vision for the Digital World, a place of general peace, something that would start by repairing all the damages his brother had wrought.

This was… actually rather easy considering how many Digimon were willing to work, and all of them now had access to evolution, so they could use the forms they needed the most to help, such as Lopmon carrying around large stacks of wooden beams after evolving into Andiramon, while Terriermon had opted to simply stay at Gargomon while he helped repair the town's small bridge that went over a river.

He looked up, seeing Aile flying more material in while riding on Aquilamon, with Rusty and Vanguamon lugging it around the town itself to anyone who needed extra parts so to speak, as Weiss and Tentomon helped coordinate the efforts from one of the taller, mostly repaired buildings in town.

"Looks like everything is going smoothly," Rusty couldn't help but say after he and Vanguamon finished distributing some of the stuff they had on hand, having stopped near where Weiss and Tentomon were.

"With everyone helping, we'll have this town fixed in no time," Tentomon smiled, flying down a bit to his level.

"And from there we can fix up Server from all the damages," Weiss added with a smile of her own, sitting on the edge of the building to talk to him better.

"Still, we probably shouldn't let our guards down. Even though we took down his fortress, Nero himself got away," Vanguamon pointed out.

"If he DOES try anything again, then we'll just stop him," Aquilamon said as he and Aile had been near enough to hear them and thus flew closer to talk.

"But hopefully if/when that happens…we'll have had enough time to rebuild from the damage he'd caused," Aile sighed a bit.

"Of course preferably he'd just give up…but I think none of us expect him to give up so easily," Weiss sighed. "At any rate, the repairs for the town proper seem to be going smoothly. Next is…" she looked over the plans…and frowned. "...the sewer systems."

"Do we have to?" Tentomon asked her, clearly not enjoying the idea.

"Considering Nero really liked his surprises, we need to make sure he didn't plant bombs everywhere in them." Weiss shot back with a sigh.

"And we're the best suited to deal with underground areas…joy…" Tentomon groaned but didn't complain further as they soon made their way to the entrance of the sewers which had caved in, and one Armor Evolution later, ForceBeemon was drilling a way through the rubble. "Well…at least like this we won't have to worry about Numemon," he sighed a bit.

"Yes, at least we have a few small mercies," Weiss sighed even if she agreed, using her glyphs to help move some of the various smaller bits of rubble. "Well… the ones that would be a pain." she clarified "If there were Numemon down here that were actually WORKING, I wouldn't mind them being present."

ForceBeemon chuckled "Good point. The slackers and flirters are a pain, but the serious ones are just fine."

"Either way, let's clear this up quickly. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can get back above ground," Weiss sighed as the two continued working. Fortunately things were going smoothly so far, and the two were making good progress.

"Working in a sewer aside, its kinda nice to not have to worry about anything suddenly causing trouble," ForceBeemon chuckled as he cleared out more rubble.

"Yes, it does make our efforts feel worth it," Weiss agreed with a small smile. However, right as she said that, they heard something from deeper into the sewer system. "What was that?!" Weiss said, a little alarmed seeing as nothing else should be down here. That small feeling got bigger when they suddenly felt a tremor…before there was more sound followed by further tremors.

"Is something causing this?!" ForceBeemon asked in alarm.

"Whatever it is, we have to stop it!" Weiss said as the tremors got worse.

The two of them quickly went deeper into the sewers, looking for the source of the tremors. They eventually found it in a deeper tunnel, revealing to be a Golemon…that was for some reason smashing his fist into the tunnel wall with enough force to shake the whole place…and already cracks were starting to form.

"Oh no you don't!" Weiss glared at the sight, before quickly adjusting the Dust chamber of her weapon and switching to Ice Dust, quickly stabbed the ground, the ice traveling to the wall and covering it with ice, stopping the cracks from spreading.

The Golemon stopped short at the sight before turning to face them. "What in the world do you think you're doing?!" ForceBeemon demanded, his voice a mix of angry…and indignant. Seriously, they didn't spend the last couple hours clearing rubble out just for someone to bring down the sewers.

The Golemon didn't respond. In fact, they didn't even see so much as an emotion in the eyes of the Digimon. Of course they didn't have long to think on that seeing as the next thing the Golemon did was take a swing at them without so much as a hesitation. Or rather…it would have…if not for the fact it punched right into one of Weiss's Glyphs. Specifically a black glyph that would be used to catch and propel things.

"I don't know what your problem is, but if you're going to cause public damage, then take it SOMEWHERE ELSE!" Weiss glared at the Golemon…before the Golemon was launched back in an upward angle.

Back above ground, everyone else was wondering what the tremors were about, even doing a few checks on the ground, though so far it seemed like the tremors had stopped. Among them was Rusty who was tapping the ground with his tail, Vanguamon doing similarly not too far away. "Doesn't look like things are shaking anymore. Guess it was just a normal quake?" Rusty mused.

"You think so?" Vanguamon asked.

"Probably. So I guess we can say false alarm," he said…right before he felt the ground shake a bit…and something burst right out of the ground and kept going into the air…just shy of where he was standing. "WHAT IN TARNATION?!" Rusty shouted in alarm, the sudden bursting knocking him off his feet and down on his ass, while he and Vanguamon looked in the direction of whatever that had been…seeing as it was already a twinkle in the sky.

"The heck was that?" Vanguamon blinked, while his and Rusty's confusion just grew when Weiss and ForceBeemon came out of the whole, both of them looking at the two questioningly.

"Annoying Digimon that wanted to smash things for some reason," Weiss sighed before using Earth Dust to seal up the hole she'd made using Golemon.

"Well…they're not smashing anything again for a long time…doubly so if they land wrong…" Rusty said as he and Vanguamon had a huge sweat drop.

At the same time, on a hill in the distance overlooking the village, others were having some interest in what was happening. "Okay…got good news and bad news, boss," the man in blue said as he looked up from the binoculars he was using, and turned to look at Nero…who was working on something on his scroll…while sitting on a deck chair…with his special DigiEgg by his side placed almost lovingly on a pillow…with Raven fanning him and said egg like something out of one of those movies.

"Oh?" Nero mused, not looking up, but his tone made it clear he wanted the man to go on.

"Well, good news is the program worked, so we can make a new army anytime," the man in blue said. "Bad news is, if we keep it at that level...we might as well be sending tin soldiers to fight them. That Schnee girl nearly launched our prototype into orbit."

Nero paused at that, finally looking up "I didn't bother asking… but what Digimon did you two make exactly?"

"A Golemon, we felt it would be a safe first attempt." the man in blue answered.

Nero hummed at that, before turning to the woman in red hair who was toying with her hair, wrapping it around a finger "How hard would it be to make a Perfect?"

"I'd need more than just one, but probably not many… I think the actual difficult one would be an Ultimate." she said with a shrug.

"Right… and if we used THAT, do you think we'd get better results?" he asked her.

"It should work yes." she said with a nod.

"Uh… before we try that, maybe we attempt it from a safe distance?" the man in blue said nervously "Remember when you tried to use it as fuel boss?"

Nero paused at that, before nodding "Yeah, fair enough." he admitted "So, do you need to make another one right away?"

"Oh, no, Golemon is still active, it's just… not much of a threat to them." the man in blue clarified.

"Right… at least not head on." Nero said, humming in thought… before he smirked "If I recall… wasn't there a dam around these parts?"

The man and the woman grinned at that, clearly liking where he was going with this.

"Wait, run that by us again?" came Gyro's voice from a scroll.

"It was a Golemon that seemed intent on caving in the sewers for some reason," Weiss sighed from her end. "I didn't see any Dark Ring on him, not that they would even work anymore," she frowned. "From what I could see, it seemed to me like the typical feral Digimon."

"Huh…haven't seen one of those in a while," Jaune mused. "Think there was a reason for them wanting to do that, or nothing really comes to mind?"

"It was trying to cave in the sewers that would have probably caused the town to cave in as well, while not saying a thing. It also attacked us the moment we tried talking to it. I'm not even sure it was smart enough to have a reason," Weiss sighed.

"So either it was so mindless it just wanted to destroy something just because…or it could have possibly been following orders from someone," Oren frowned.

"Huh…yeah, a mindless looking Digimon? Easy minion material. Hopefully not though," Jaune frowned, seeing the logic there.

"For now we should all be careful and keep an eye out. Considering how some Digimon are more durable than others, that Golemon might still be around," Gyro said.

"Right," everyone nodded. The thing with some feral mon…they could be annoyingly persistent. Kuwagamon came to mind for them.

"Glad to know this place didn't take much if any damage. It'd have been a disaster if anything happened," Ruby said with a sigh as she, Pierce, Blake, Nora, and Emerald were in a different town helping with some repairs which overall was relatively minor, this town having by sheer luck avoided the worst of Nero's attacks.

"Still…gotta question the design choice here sometimes," Pierce frowned as he looked over to where they could see a dam not too far away from the town.

"Yeah…if something happened to that dam, the whole place would have been flooded," Emerald winced. "Seriously…that thing feels like a big target with the sign 'hit me' with how much of a disaster it could cause…"

"You're getting genre savvy." Nora said with a chuckle.

"Yeah, seems to happen a lot around you guys." Morphomon giggled.

"It DOES help us prepare better for various enemies. And considering we still have a big one to worry about later down the road, the more efficiently we deal with some enemies the better," Blake nodded.

"Oh yeah…the thing Yggdrasil has been keeping locked up. Honestly almost forgot about that…" Veemon winced.

"We just gotta keep getting stronger and I'm sure we can stop whatever it is," Patamon said encouragingly

"But first things first, we gotta finish with the repairs. Good thing those shouldn't take much longer here," Palmon chuckled.

However, thanks to the conversation regarding the dam, they all had the inward thought of 'unless something serious happens'. Murphy was having a slow day today it seemed.

"Big trouble!" a sudden shout was heard as one of the local residents, a Dokunemon, came running towards town, coming from the dam. "A Golemon! A Golemon is attacking the dam!" he shouted.

The gathered Chosen stopped short and looked at each other. "Do you think?" Ruby frowned.

"It has to be. That same Golemon Weiss encountered," Blake frowned.

"And now he's trying to break the dam. Either this guy is a complete psycho or whoever is pulling his strings is the psycho," Pierce growled.

"Whoever it is, I say we set them straight!" Veemon said, earning sounds of agreement as the group quickly made their way to the dam. Of course as they were running…

"Being Genre Savvy, huh? I could get used to that. It's kinda nice being able to see shit before it shows up," Emerald snorted.

"It IS useful," Morphomon agreed.

The group soon made their way to the dam and by the time they'd arrived, they saw the guard posts that had been set up to protect the dam had been smashed, the various local Digimon who were posted as guards groaning on the ground, having been in a fight and lost.

The group wanted to help them…but they literally had bigger things to worry about first. Namely the Golemon that was already reaching the dam.

"Ok, split decision! We gotta get him away from that NOW!" Pierce said hurriedly.

"Blake! Nora! Armor!" Ruby said quickly, the two girls in question nodding and quickly armor evolving their partners, Pegasmon and Nefertimon both flying up quickly and using their Sanctuary Bind to grab Golemon and yank him AWAY from the dam.

Golemon clearly didn't take kindly to the sudden interruption and with a roar, managed to break out of the bind. "Whoa, he's stronger than he looks," Nefertimon gasped.

"At least he's not climbing the dam anymore." Pegasmon said, finding some small relief.

"Okay everyone, let's take him down as fast as we can!" Pierce said.

"Just don't go too crazy here," Emerald spoke up. "Last thing we want is to destroy the dam in the process of trying to stop Golemon from destroying it!"

Pierce winced for a moment, suddenly imagining a certain giant robot with a car for a head…and the pilot of said robot that WOULD have definitely destroyed the dam in the process of trying to stop someone from destroying said dam. Yeah…as funny as that was on the screen…they really would be better off avoiding that in real life. "Okay, I think we're gonna have to stick to Adult or Armor at max. Anything higher than that and we're gonna risk destroying the dam in the process."

"And for us that means stick to Adult," Veemon added, reminding Pierce that yes, Magnamon wasn't the typical Armor…which wasn't helping them in this case.

Moving quickly, they made their choices and before long Veedramon, Konohamon, and Pierismon were joining the fray. Golemon clearly didn't care much for their interference and started fighting back…about as well as a single lone Digimon could against a group of five, as Golemon was quickly put on the defensive.

However, what should have been a quick battle was decidedly not so quick simply because the group…had to be careful. They couldn't fire off their moves without care because one wrong shot could possibly destroy the very thing they were trying to protect. That or cause friendly fire seeing as in an effort to keep the Golemon away from the dam, they were more or less surrounding it.

The hunters themselves didn't have to worry about that problem TOO much, as they were on higher ground shooting at it with their guns, figuring that chip damage would be helpful at the very least. However, this actually raised a new question.

"Is it just me or is Golemon not even feeling what we're doing?" Blake frowned. Oh sure they knew Digimon were tough, tougher than Grimm that's for sure, but being shot at this much…an Adult should have had more reaction. Heck…the times their partners were landing hits…the Golemon just kept coming.

"Hey you're right! Its almost like that thing isn't even registering the damage," Ruby frowned, before a thought crossed her mind and she quickly used her sniper scope, zooming in on the Golemon in more detail and… "Uh…guys? Did Golemon always have a layer of black stuff under their skin?" she asked.

"Wait, what?" Emerald said in confusion, before she pulled out a pair of binoculars and looked closer "Wait, you're right. What's going on with that?"

"That's NOT normal." Pierce noted with a frown "I mean, I could expect regular black stone… but that looks almost… sleek and not like rocks at all."

"Whatever it is, that doesn't change the fact this thing is a threat," Blake frowned. "We need to take it out quickly, but we can't do that easily while protecting the dam."

"If only we could put that Golemon somewhere we won't have to worry about hitting the dam!" Nora frowned.

"Not hitting the dam…" Ruby blinked before a light bulb came to her. "Pegasmon! Nefertimon! Catch it again, then bring it into the air! Make it a floating target!" she shouted.

"Yeah, sure, if you can think of a way to stop him from struggling so much!" Pegasmon snorted through his mask, breaking a thrown rock with his Needle Rain.

"I think I can take care of that part." Pierismon said, before aiming an attack at Golemon "Frozen Wall!" and he was soon surrounded by a tube of ice, thick enough he couldn't just break it on the spot, but thin enough their attacks would break it apart once they striked.

"Works for us!" Nefertimon said as she and Pegasmon used Sanctuary Bind once again, carrying the trapped Golemon into the air, and in a position that gave the group a clear shot.

"Hold that pose," Konohamon chuckled as she got ready. "Let's make this shot count!"

"My thoughts exactly!" Veedramon smirked as he looked to Pierce who returned the smirk and took out his D-Crest, which started to shine, and in a moment, Veedramon had Super Evolved to AeroVeedramon.

"Fimbulvinter!"

"Petal Storm!"

"Dragon Impulse!"

The three attacks hit, Fimbulvinter freezing Golemon further, but in a way that made him more brittle, followed by Petal Storm which hit the now brittle ice in various points, causing cracks to spread…and allowing Dragon Impulse to hit it and break right through, shattering the ice and Golemon with it, the Digimon shattering into data the moment the ice broke.

"And that's that," Pegasmon sighed.

"A bit harder than our usual, but then…I guess that just means we need a bit more practice with fighting while protecting a target," Konohamon sweat dropped a bit at the end as everyone soon reverted back to Child level.

"Something to add to the training room then." Veemon sighed, stretching his arms a bit "Still… that guy was… REALLY weird." he said with a frown as he crossed his arms.

"Tell me about it." Pierce said as he and the others got closer to the Digimon "He was just… like a machine really."

"To be precise, like one of the older AK Models." Emerald added "Too many feeling machines these days for that comparison to really work."

"Yeah, fair point." Pierce conceded that with a shrug. "Still, we'd better tell the others about this. With our luck, no way that was the only one."

"Yeah, sounds about right," Nora agreed. They'd been at this long enough to have an idea how things would go more or less.

A few hours later saw the Chosen in the RV, having gathered after they'd finished up most of the tasks at hand. There was still much to do in other areas of Server, but as things were, they'd agreed that they should go back to Remnant for a bit. They DID have responsibilities on both sides after all. Of course, they fully intended to come back soon, not just because of the repairs that still needed to be done, but also because of the strange case with the Golemon. There was no telling when more like it would pop up or how many of them would pop up when the time came.

At the very least, now that the majority of the clean up effort was well underway, they didn't need to be in the Digital World 24/7 and could actually take a proper break. The gate was soon opened and they were back in Remnant, parking the RV next to Glynda's vacation home as they soon walked out, heading back into the house.

"We're back every… one?" Ruby started off with a big smile, only to trail off in confusion at the sight that greeted her.

The reason? Everyone was on the ground, panting in exhaustion. The kind you'd get from working your butt off. Except for Penny of course, she just looked utterly confused as she sat on a sofa across from… a guest she supposed.

She… didn't know what to think about the man that was sitting across from her, drinking from a ceramic tea cup. He was wearing a black bodysuit of some kind, a white coat hanging off his shoulders, red geta on his feet, though they only had one… footing she supposed rather than the typical two, his hair red and swept back, a goatee and mustache on his face, and his eyes hidden behind a silver visor of some kind that had a pair of small horns on it.

Pausing at their arrival, the man grinned at the sight of them "Ah, so you've all finally returned from this excursion of yours!" he exclaimed, lifting up his visor, revealing a pair of red eyes as he stood up, showing that he looked to be about 7 feet tall "I was wondering when I'd get to see you all!"

"Uh… who are you sir?" Yang asked in confusion as she stepped inside.

"My name is Gankoomon! I am one of Yggdrasil's Royal Knights!" the Digimon apparently, revealed.

Digimon Analyzer: Gankoomon

Gankoomon. Data Type. An Ultimate Level Holy Knight Digimon. One of thirteen Royal Knights said to uphold order in the Digital World. He is a nomadic Digimon, traveling the Digital World and helping those in need where he goes, while training weaker Digimon so they too may defend the weak. His fighting spirit is so powerful, it manifests itself as its own entity tethered to him, named Hinukamuy, taking on a form similar to a dragon. Special attacks are Tekken Seisai, unleashing a heavy barrage of fists upon his opponent, and Chabudai Gaeshi, grabbing hold of the ground beneath his feet… and flipping it like a table.

The group was silent for a moment at that... before they all spoke at the same time "WHAT?!"

Ta-da!

Here comes the start of the next arc of the story, which I'm positive you all know what that is, and of course, the introduction to the next Royal Knight, who I'm positive nobody expected to show up in this way!

Anyway, there's... really not much to say besides that, since only a minor thing happened in this chapter.

Well, there's the fact this is technically the 100th chapter posting wise, but number wise, not quite yet.

Still, this IS something to celebrate, so... yay.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed, because...
