A/N Rollercoaster of a day
Alt title: Rematch with Weiss ;)
.
.
So, this whole chapter started as a whim.
Some people were upset at the non-important contest of attrition from the last three chapters. So I said
"Would a Weiss x Cyril lewd make you feel better?"
And someone said
"How about a 16k chapter? And a lewd?"
And said, on whim
"Okay."
…
That's it. That's the whole reason. So, enjoy!
Here we have!
An end to the fights
Weiss's daddy issues on display
Ruby going Yandere
Cyril completing an arc and no longer being passive about things after Weiss nearly says/does something to break up with Ruby.
And pizza. Pepperoni.
.
Also, a lot of fighters in the exercise were sandbagging and holding back. Not wanting to show off too much for their competition before the Vytal Tournament.
.
.
Samejake: Thank you! I wish you good tidings as well.
cassnova5424: A good fanfic canvas. SOMEONE FINALLY PUT IT INTO WORDS! Also, have you checked out Kitsu recently?
Anyumaaka: every, single blacksmith I know eventually dips into wiccan stuff.
I don't know why.
GideonBlackthorn: Weiss is ready to, practice starting a family. Remember, she has a scent fetish, and has been stuck in a room full of sweaty, fighting teens. She is on a hair trigger.
Breuche: Free will? If you mean I'm doing this by choice, then yes. This is a hobby for me. As for mt. Glen? I haven't thought about it.
Reiss82: Genuinely forgot about the book.
FinalKingdomHearts: Here it is!

Cyril Leon POV
.
'About time he got back.' I think to myself as I watch the guy with the largest aura pool steps up to fight.
Jaune is, well he's clearly better than his series counterpart. Looking like his season four canon version with the armor and hair. His sword looks the same, though there's a diagonal seam at the middle. Hinting at some mechashift capacity that we have yet to see.
His shield is the most different. Having an unpolished gold cross on its face as opposed to the Arc crescents. It's a bit taller than the kite shield from canon. And I know the bottom can spear down and anchor it to the ground while the wings extend.
And then there's the shotgun under it. That's a surprise. Because nobody expects their opponent to raise their kite shield up, and see a double barrel pointed at them.
Meanwhile Dorian, has a whip sword and a headache inducing outfit. Not to mention a bootlegged version of the Schnee summoning.
Jaune, is actually annoying to fight. For me specifically. Mainly because he fights so defensively while I fight in a sort of reactionary way. So fights between us turn into, who has less patience and will make a mistake first this time?
And I win as much as I lose against him. My Thu'um being difficult to use against him as he manages to find ways around the effects, or just straight up counters them.
'Come to think of it.' I muse as the fight starts, the spectral bear still in the fight from earlier as it charges Jaune. 'At this rate if I can just rest up and get my aura to about eighty or so, I can shout most opponents out of the ring and win that way.'
Sure I won't be making any friends. But hey! That food ticket is worth it. They have pizza, sushi, cheesy potatoes and I can have all three in one sitting as opposed to only getting one or two as an 'extra' serving.
Hell, I have two points. I bet if I get to four I'll be golden.
"He's baiting him." Ruby says as she leans forward and rests her head in her hands. Her elbows resting on her knees.
Jaune is currently focusing on the bear, dodging and blocking swipe after swipe. And I do see what she means. Jaune's not moving nearly as nimbly as he normally does.
I start to zone out as the fight progresses. With Dorian entering the fray as Jaune fights to block and dodge both opponents. Doing so better than I thought he would as Dorian's dancing doesn't seem to hinder his attempts.
And then I feel it, the pull towards my understanding of the Voice.
Kaan, Kyne
The goddess Kynareth's Nordic name. It still refers to the same entity. Just in a more forceful manner. Just as mother and caretaker have different connotations. They can mean the same thing, but they are different titles.
Invoking her name, invokes her domain. And invoking her more ancient, mournful name Kyne, invokes more emotion with it. Kyne, invokes vulnerability. And that can be scary for many. Forcing them to stop and think, to ponder and open themselves up. To trust, and possible betrayal.
Kyne, invokes the goddess of storms' vulnerability. Kyne, being her aspect when mourning the loss of her husband Shor. The rains are said to be her tears, and the thunder, her wails of fury at his passing.
My eyes snap open as I'm brought from my thoughts by a loud bang sounding out through the room. Darting my head from side to side, I look around and notice that, in the arena circle. Dorian's head is encased in ice as he falls over. His spectral aura bear gone.
Jaune calmly walks up and steps on Dorian's chest. Holding him still as he aims his shield, and fires the shotgun at his head. Breaking the ice and calling the match.
'How long was I out?' I think to myself as I look up and see Jaune is at ninety percent.
"Wake me up when I need to fight." I say as I lay down.
"Seriously?" Weiss asks from beside me.
What?
"Wait, when did you and Ruby switch spots?" I ask as I look down to the white haired girl at my side.
"A few minutes ago." Weiss says with a pensive look.
"You doing good?" Blake asks as she leans forward, a brow raised in question.
"Yeah, I, I'm just tired." I say as the next fighter is chosen. Octavia Ember. "Think I might get some water."
I get up and start walking towards the locker room.
"Cyril wait!" Ruby gets up and runs over, grabbing ahold of my long coat to stop me. "What if you get called up! If you don't go in you'll be disqualified!" She hisses, like the mere word is scandalous.
"I'm just getting some water from the locker room." I say as the buzzer sounds and Jaune's fight with the redhead from Vacuo starts. "I'll be back in a few."
"I'll come get you if you get called." Ruby says, stealing gazes between me and the arena.
Truth is, I can feel the pull of The Voice. Like, whenever I get new words, I feel my attention pull towards it. And I need a quiet, uninterrupted place to properly meditate and consider the word's meaning.
I may have access to the word Kaan. But that doesn't do me a lot of good if I don't use it right. The Thu'um, is a language. Make a sentence that makes no sense and I may very well end up hurting myself. Like if I went Faas Su, Fear Air. That makes no sense in the language's sentence structure. If anything, it'd enhance my flight response and make me more likely to run from dangers, or my opponents. So, I need time to think.
I do go to the drinking fountains and get some water for myself however. Because genuinely? I'm tired and need a real break. Fights only tend to last about two to ten minutes at most. And I've gone for more than triple that time.
So yeah, I need a break.
.
.
"What'd I miss?" I ask as I get back and sit down next to Weiss. Seeing Jaune still in the ring.
"Octavia switched to Dove." Weiss says.
"Dove lost and is out with no points." Blake adds.
"So now it's Ciel from Penny's team up against Jaune." Ruby says.
Curious because Ciel seemed to be nothing more than a placeholder or a prop in canon. I turn my attention to the arena circle, and see the very underwhelming fight that is underway.
Ciel is, ironically more robotic than Penny. Her arms behind her back as she steps back and dodges Jaune's attacks.
"Tag! Nebula Violette." She calls out, and Ruby groans.
"Rmmm!" Ruby growls at the girl as she walks down the steps and past us. Causing the purple haired teen to eye us worryingly.
'That can't be good for stereotypes.' I mentally snark.
"Are you okay?" Blake asks the hooded girl with a note of concern.
"That's the Vacuoan whore who tried to ask Cyril out." Ruby huffs angrily.
'Woah!' I think as my eyes go wide as my head snaps to the growling wolf Faunus. 'Ruby using cuss words? The hell happened?'
"Ruby!" Weiss hisses and lightly slaps the girl's knee. "Language. Also, it was dealt with already."
"Hrrmmm." Ruby crosses her arms. "Knowing her, she's probably got so much sand between her ears she'll try again."
"Okay." I say, not wanting this to go on a tangent. "Stepping away from that, but is it just me or do the students from Vacuo have simpler weapons? Like, Nebula has a crossbow, sword thing. And Octavia had a dagger. Just a dagger."
With the question defaulting to her as she's the expert in all things weapons. Ruby takes a breath and calms down before answering.
"That's because Vacuo is a wasteland lacking in any stability." Ruby says pointedly. "They don't have access to anything coming close to quality materials. So, most things are dressed down. Weapons included. She uses a crossbow because a gun is likely too expensive to maintain and bolts are cheaper and more easily made than bullets."
"So, it's resource scarcity." I say.
That actually makes sense now that I think about it. Vale, Mistral and Atlas are more stable and as such have better supply chains. So better, everything, is a given because of the stability.
"What's a resource scare city?" Ruby leans forward and raises a brow at me. "Is it like, a city where the resources are scary? Like, dust that's extra volatile?"
Blake chuckles while Weiss groans and palms her face. Shaking her head in exasperation at the girl's idiocy.
"How did you pass basic social studies?" Weiss asks as she looks to said idiot. "How does Cyril have a more advanced vocabulary than you? He comes from some weird cult in the outskirts."
"It's not a cult." I furrow my brow, but can tell I go ignored.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asks. "I, passed my classes and got to move up a grade like everyone else."
"She probably got graded on a curve." Blake says casually.
"No, it was percentage based." Ruby says. "What's a curve? Is that how Menagerie's schools grade their students?"
'She has to be doing it on purpose at this point.' I think to myself.
Weiss goes to say something. But gives up in favor of resting her face in her hands.
"There there." I say as I pat her back affectionately.
"Don't touch me." She groans through her hands.
I roll my eyes at her tsundere nature before turning back to the fight. Just in time to see Nebula get a shield bash to the face and lower her aura to the red. Meaning Jaune has about four points now.
Checking my scroll, I tap into the regulator and check my team's auras. Aura actually regenerates at a decent pace for most people. It's different for everyone of course, but it's not like some DnD long rest bullshit where you need eight hours. So long as you're not doing anything to strain it, it starts steadily regenerating.
Weiss is back up to full. Same with Ruby and Blake. While I'm at about half.
In terms of our team, Weiss has the least amount of aura capacity followed by Blake being slightly above her. But Weiss makes up for it by having the fastest regen and greatest aura control out of the four of us.
Blake has, decent aura control and her aura regenerates at the same rate as Ruby's who has the second highest aura capacity of our team. Ruby also has the second best regen of the team and the second best control.
Whereas I have about four or five times the aura Weiss has, and about two and a half times the amount Ruby has. But my aura control is shit and my regen is meh.
If I had Weiss's regen, I'd be at about eighty percent right now.
"Looks like Lowen Brise is up next." Weiss comments as I look to the nondescript girl with short blonde hair and fair skin. Dressed in a similar outfit as Ciel, but with pants instead of a skirt. And a yellow painted, double barrel assault rifle on her back.
'If I can go up against a bunch of people without defenses against my Thu'um, I could spam them out of the arena.' I think to myself as I think of everyone I could do that to. 'Definitely Ren, Dove, no wait he's out. Um, Ren, Sky, Neptune, Dew, Octavia, Gwen. Maybe Sage, Russel, Nikel, Ciel and Lowen.'
"Tag, Nora!" Jaune says after about a minute of keeping his shield up to defend against the onslaught of bullets.
"Finally!" Nora jumps up and runs to the circle before Jaune can even collapse his shield. "Let's do this!"
Nora, is a nightmare. She has decent aura capacity, fourth in the whole class. And decent regen, on par with Ruby. But it's her all offense no defense style of fighting that's terrifying.
Nora gets in place and starts bouncing on her heels with her hammer already out. Looking like a playable in the start screen of an arcade fighting game.
You remember how I said weapons are light because they need to be? How bulkier weapons are still lighter than they appear? Yeah forget that. Nora's hammer weighs about fifty or sixty pounds. And she wields it like a baseball bat.
The only benefit to this, is there is no blocking her hits. Only dodging.
"She's out." Ruby says plainly.
"No contest." Weiss agrees as she adjusts her posture, back straight.
Something, Lowen doesn't seem to know as her Double Barreled Assault Rifle forms into a pair of bearded axes. She foolishly holds them up in an X. Likely trying to catch Nora's hammer by the shaft and disarm her.
Only for the Atlesian blonde to hit the floor with a hammer on her chest. And an explosion going off point blank not a moment after. Knocking her down from full, to twenty percent in an instant.
Fifteen is the cut off, but Tai calls the match there. Any more and Nora would likely break her aura, injuring or killing her.
He asks Lowen if she'd like to tag out. Or just call it quits. And Lowen seems to accept defeat as she heads back to her seat.
"Well, that was fast." Blake says.
"It was a clean hit and explosion from Nora." I say as I look over Ruby and Weiss's heads to talk to Blake. "How many people in our class could survive that do you think?"
Blake looks to me, stretching her back a bit as Weiss's ears flick up and block our view before they splay back.
"Um." Blake hums, her eyes looking up and to the right as she thinks, mouthing out a sentence as she counts on her hand. "You, Pyrrha, Ruby, Me, Cardin and Jaune."
"Now take away primary semblances." I say.
"You, Pyrrha, Cardin and Jaune." Blake corrects.
"That's enough for a team." Ruby says softly as she looks up in thought.
Our conversation dies out as Ren is called against Nora. And the fight, honestly drags out. The two just, know each other's fighting style too well. Like night and day.
Ren is all speed and counter, and Nora is all strength and relentless attack.
Ren can't switch out, and Nora probably won't.
"Are things really that bad in Vacuo?" I ask as I look to my team, the fight in front of us having turned repetitive.
"Of all the five kingdoms they're the least stable." Weiss says as her tail slips from Ruby's back to mine. "Even Menagerie which had a twelve year long civil war that ended not even a century ago, has more stability."
"That's because Ozma had a personal hand in forming their government." Ruby speaks up. "And last I heard about Vacuo, they don't even have a good grip on what little they have." She adds "The Tarak-"
"They are not the Tarak." Blake speaks up. "Or at least, the Tarak of Menagerie have disowned them."
"You mean disavowed." Weiss corrects.
"No I mean disowned." Blake corrects Weiss's correction. "The Tarak see all other Tarak as family. And refer to each other as such. To be disowned is their highest insult and disgrace. It means you're kicked out of the clan."
"What are we on about?" I ask, still not knowing about, anything.
"Oh yeah, you grew up isolated." Ruby says with a finger to her chin. "Well, about five years ago the Tarak of Vacuo decided they didn't like the current government. So, they decided to rebel."
"Rebellion is an, apt term I suppose. Though the tensions started long before that. The Vacuoan government is just saving face by claiming it's a recent thing." Weiss says. "Anyway, they currently hold sway over a third of the Vacuoan wastes. And are currently locked in a stalemate against the Vacuoan government who keeps trying to put down their rebellion, but are failing."
"Are things that bad?" I ask with a little bit of concern. Knowing that rebellions don't just happen out of nowhere.
"We, don't have the time to explore the politics of it." Weiss says. "Though if you're interested then after lunch I'd be willing to give you a private history session on the matter."
"Sure." I say and rub her head, earning a blush from her. "I'd like that."
"Ahem." She glares up at me through her blush. "What have I said about touching me without my permission?"
"To do it more?" I smirk, and she smacks my hand away. "Someone's testy."
"Only when my patience is being tested." She crosses her arms and huffs as her tail presses around my side even harder.
This is what I mean about mixed signals. She reinforced the no, but is trying to push me closer to her.
"Nora just tag out!" I hear Ren shout, pulling my attention back to the fight.
"You tag out!" Nora laughs as Ren limbos under a swing.
"I'm out of points, I can't!" He shouts as Nora brings the hammer up.
"Then bow your head to your king!" Nora shouts as she slams the hammer down as Ren jumps back. But gets hit in the radius of the explosion, knocking him back further.
"You know I would if I could!" He says, kinda out of nowhere.
"He does know he can forfeit, right?" Weiss asks.
"You can feel the romantic tension." Ruby says as she's locked into the fight.
"What?" Blake asks, voicing my own thoughts.
"Shhh." Ruby puts a hand out to her side and puts her finger to Blake's lips.
Blake looks to me and Weiss with an expression of confusion plastered on her face.
"Hey, I'm dating her and I can barely tell what goes through her head sometimes." I shrug. "Though, we've only been on two dates."
"I don't even try." Weiss says plainly. "If I wanted to go insane there are less frustrating ways to do so I'm sure."
"You guys suck." Ruby grumbles.
'Don't do it.' I tell myself.
"Last I checked that was you and Weiss." I let the intrusive thoughts win. "Can't speak for Blake, but I lick."

.
Taiyang Xiao-Long POV
.
'So far it seems some of the students have grasped the point of the competition.' I think to myself as the current fight drags on. 'Well, most of them.'
It honestly helps that Cyril went first. With how he fights, he's a godsend for me this year. Most students that get accepted into the academies come from combat schools and have little experience fighting other people outside of monitored matches with rules to ensure safety and fair fights for appraisal reasons. So, I've decided my year plan for the first years is breaking them of bad habits by displaying how little it accounts for in the field.
If it weren't for Cyril, I'd be calling in favors from Qrow to set the students straight. And speaking of the bandit raised bastard.
My team got lucky. We got the Branwen twins. Who were so uncivilized, they might as well have been feral. They quickly taught me and Summer how bandits think and operate. And how no courtesies will be extended to us.
Hell, first fight I had with Raven. She broke my aura, and continued to fight me until she broke my arm. Took both Summer and the combat teacher at the time to get her off me.
And Qrow, he just sat back and watched like it was the most normal thing ever. Because to him, it was.
'Pecking order blondie.' He laughed. 'Better learn it now before it becomes an issue later. Don't want you thinking you're in charge or anything.'
I can't help but chuckle at the memory. I was always the weakest of the team. In more ways than I'll ever care to admit. But I still miss those days.
Needless to say Qrow got better with time. Raven, we thought she got better. But the moment I refused to take Yang to the Branwen tribe, well.
I guess it was better than learning her true colors when it was too late. She might've corrupted Yang for the worse before-
"Ah!" I'm brought from my thoughts by a smack and it's following cry of pain as I look up to see my daughter's team in the second row of the bleachers on the right.
Cyril is holding his cheek as Weiss fumes with a red face. And Ruby is hiding under her hood as Blake puts up a hand to act as a border to not see the rest of her team.
I… can hazard a guess at what happened. And I smirk as I see my team in their place.
Sort of.
Cyril is like an odd mix of Me and Qrow. Ruby is a carbon copy of her mother. Weiss is like a weird mix of Raven's seriousness but Summer's disposition, after the news of her family. And Blake, is like Raven through and through if you remove the feral might makes right mentality and constant death threats to everyone she meets.
"I'm getting old." I sigh to myself as I return my attention to the fight.
At this rate, Ren and Nora are going to draw.
Ren keeps whittling away at Nora's aura. But he's slowing down as he gets more and more tired out. And Nora only really needs one good hit to send him flying out of the ring.
.
.
Cyril Leon POV
.
To absolutely no one's surprise. Ren and Nora tied.
"Cyril and Ciel!" Tai calls out, and I sigh as I get up. My plan in place as I take my position in the ring, right across from the girl.
"You are the Silver Eyed Orphan, correct?" Ciel asks in a flat tone as she tightens her wristwatch.
"I don't appreciate being reminded of the fact, but yes." I say with a bit of bite in my voice.
"My apologies for any offense." She says plainly. "It was not meant. My partner speaks much of you, if I didn't know better I'd say she was enamored with you."
"Fascinating." I say as I put my hands in my pockets.
Tai calls the match to start, and Ciel pulls out a handgun. But doesn't get to use it.
"Fus!" I shout, and send her flying back out of the ring. Skidding on her back as she gets a ring out. "Nothing personal! But I'm exhausted and don't really care to fight."
"Blasphemy!" Ruby shouts from the bleachers.
Looking to the board, I see I'm down from eighty five, to eighty percent.
More than enough to spam the fuck out of this.
I ended up pissing off a few people by spamming Fus. Alice, though I'm ninety percent sure she already didn't like me for some reason.
Scarlet, Sky and Neptune.
Then I got pitted against Penny again. With me at sixty percent and her at full. She steps up and salutes.
"Salutations once again friend Cyril!" She grins. "I look forward to our rematch!"
'Oh hey, she didn't include my gender in her greeting.' I note. 'Progress.'
"So do I." I smile before Tai starts the match, and I do an about face and walk out of the ring. "But not today."
"Cyril!" Ruby shouts angrily. "Explain yourself!"
"Easy!" I shout back. "I have seven points and there are eight people left aside from me. Right now, the only person who can beat that, is Jaune if he wins five more times in a row, or six times and only tags out once. Everyone else will need to fight nonstop and beat everyone else with no rest."
"As disappointing as it is, your assessment is correct Friend Cyril." Penny says in a disappointed tone with a sad face. "I hope we can have our rematch someday soon."
'Who knew I'd feel like a jackass for not picking a fight with a girl.' I bemuse to myself.
"Sometimes cutting your losses short is the best route." Tai nods before muttering. "Still, I need something to encourage the rest so. Alright! Second place gets a hundred Lien! Third gets twenty."
That's about two hundred and fifty dollars for second place, and fifty bucks for third.
I finally figured out a decent conversion. One lien, is equal to two and a half dollars. I just misunderstood the value of everything here. I was applying American value to the products because of how cosmopolitan Vale City was.
Bit of an oversight on my part but, meh.
"Oh yeah, teach!" I call back. "Can I just head back? I'm wiped and since I won't be fighting."
Tai shrugs and nods before swiping on his tablet. Announcing the next fighter to face off against Penny. Which is Dew.
"I shall accompany you Cyril." Weiss says as she gets up and walks after me. "I feel I should bathe and redress myself before the sweat dries too much."
"Alright." I say as I walk. "But I call the first shower."
"I don't believe that will be a problem." Weiss says.
"Have fun." Blake waves us off.
.
.
Ruby Rose POV
.
"So, how long do I need to stay out of the room?" Blake asks, referring to how Weiss is clearly about to sleep with Cyril.
"Hmm, about half an hour?" I say, remembering our last time. Though that was the three of us. "Maaayyybe a little less?"
We sit and watch as Dew Gayl is called up to the arena. Wielding a spear, that seems to have no mechashift capabilities.
'Why does everything from Vacuo have to suck so hard?' I sigh as I await the beat down she'll get. 'Just one interesting weapon would be nice.'
"Are you okay?" Blake asks after the buzzer sounds, initiating the fight.
"Hmm?" I ask as I look to my teammate. "Yeah, why?"
"Because Weiss and Cyril are off to, canoodle without you and… I just don't get it." Blake says, and I snort at the word canoodle.
It sounds like something a flustered Weiss would say.
"What do you mean?" I ask with a raised brow.
"I just don't see how you're okay with Cyril or Weiss sleeping with each other." Blake says. "Doesn't it feel, bad?"
"No?" I say before correcting her. "Besides, they're not sleeping with each other. They're with each other."
Blake gives me a flat look. Staring at me with her piercing gold eyes.
"You know what I mean." She says plainly.
"But they're not sleeping with other people." I say. "I like Weiss, I like Cyril. I like them being happy, and if they're happy with each other then that's great!"
"But they're happy without you." Blake says as we hear the buzzer sound, and we look to the arena and see Dew, flat on her back outside the ring. "That was fast."
"Eh, about what I expected." I shrug.
"Anyway." Blake looks back to me. "It doesn't bother you that they do things without you?"
"Sometimes." I say honestly. "But me and Weiss do things without Cyril. And me and Cyril do things without Weiss. It's not like we're excluding each other intentionally or anything. Besides, I'm sure I can, well, you know, with them whenever I want. Though, it's not as, fun without all three of us." I start to blush as I recall our night together.
'Now I wanna join!' I whine to myself. 'Thanks Blake!'
"I just, I wouldn't want my partner sleeping around." Blake says as Sage is called up.
"Again, they're not." I roll my eyes, not understanding why she keeps going back to that. "They're with each other. Not some, floozies from the red light district or anything.
"And how is it any different?" Blake asks as the next fight starts. "They are off, with other people, without you. Even if it's with each other."
"Blake, are you okay?" I ask my raven haired teammate with genuine concern. "You seem to really be focusing on this."
"It just doesn't make any sense!" She hisses. "How are you so, chill? How are any of you chill?"
"I don't see how it doesn't make sense." I shrug, not knowing how to put it.
If only Cyril and Weiss were here. Weiss is good with words, and Cyril is good at making her words understandable!
"I just, we enjoy each other." I say uncertainly. "I, I guess it seems lonely with only two? Like, we're not together all the time. And we can't be so, being with each other is better. And being all together is better? I'm just, I don't see why you're upset."
"Because it doesn't." She cuts herself off in frustration. "Most people only partner up and that's it."
"My sister, my mom and dad and uncle, me Cyril and Weiss, my cousin Garnet and his girlfriend and boyfriend, Team Coffee, you and Sun." I start listing off all the people I know for a fact aren't exclusively two people.
"Me and Sun are different." Blake defends. "We're just, friends with benefits."
"Then think of me, Cyril and Weiss as exclusive friends with benefits, with added conditions." I say with a smile, hoping to have finally put it into words.
"What conditions?" Blake asks sardonically.
"Well, we all love each other and don't go out of our way to exclude each other." I say as I think about it. "And, um, we each like making the other happy."
"If that's the case, then why not be okay with them visiting the brothels?" Blake counters.
"Because, our moments together are special because we love each other." I say with a frown as I cross my arms. "If Cyril or Weiss were to just, flitter around with whoever catches their fancy at the time. Then, do the moments we have really mean anything? If they can share those moments with just anyone they think is attractive, then what does that make our moments? If they're with each other, then that's fine. Because I know they love each other, and they'd only share that with someone they love."
Blake stares at me as she tries to think of something. Then shakes her head as she sighs and looks back to the arena.
"That made, no sense." Blake says.
"I'm okay with them being together without me there, because I know there will be moments I am there." I state as Sage switches to Jaune. "And I'm not okay with them being with others just because, because then it makes any moments we have less special by virtue of being shared with others who don't matter."
"Whatever you say Ruby." Blake says, checking out of the conversation.
I stare at the troubled girl. Not knowing what to say anymore.
"I don't understand you." I sigh.

-SLBR Dorms-
.
.
Cyril Leon POV
.
Walking into our dorm, I turn to head towards the bathroom. Intent on getting a shower as Ruby stays to await her turn in the arena, and Blake stayed for whatever reason. Weiss is with me, hoping to change out of her combat clothes and get clean.
Speaking of, I'm stopped as Weiss grabs the back of my long coat as soon as the door closes behind us.
"Hmm?" I hum as I turn to face her, ears splayed back and a slight blush dusting her face. "Need something?"
"Y-you did a lot today." Weiss says as she lets go. "Of everyone to fight in class I believe you may have fought the most. I-I figured you may want a way to, relax."
'So, not to get clean.' I think with amusement. 'But to get dirty… ugh, that sounded bad even in my head.'
I'm not so dumb that I don't see where this is going. Though, that doesn't mean I'm not going to mess with her. A flustered Weiss is an adorable Weiss.
"Yeah, I was gonna get a nice, hot and steamy bath." I say as I step a little closer to her, and watch her eyes go wide as she doesn't step back. Breathing in hot, heavy pants as I'm an inch from her. "That's not a problem is it-mrph!"
I don't get to finish as Weiss bounces up on her heels. Wrapping her arms around my neck as she pulls me down for a heated kiss. I feel her shift as I wrap my arms around her, pushing and grinding herself closer to me before pulling back with a gasp.
"H-h-how dare you take advantage of me like that!?" She says as she pushes me back. "S-s-sit on the bed! I was just going to offer a massage you brute!"
"Hey, you kissed me." I laugh as I walk back and sit on the edge of my bed.
"I most certainly did not." She hisses as she leans down and unlaces her heels before kicking them off.
I smirk as she takes her rapier and sets it against her vanity before sliding her socks off. Which is her sign that she's not intending to leave the room anytime soon.
"Well?" She asks me as she walks up and crosses her arms. Being almost eye level with me, despite the fact I'm sitting.
"Well what?" I ask with a smirk.
"Take your coat off you dolt!" She huffs as she leans forward and puts her hands under the front of my open coat and brings them to my shoulders. Sliding my coat off as she takes it and neatly folds the blue clothing. Before dropping it on the floor next to the bed. "I can't very well work with you when you have so many thick layers."
She then takes my axes out of their holsters and sets them on top of my coat. The whole time I just smile dumbly at her, knowing where this is gonna go. And honestly? I'm kinda giddy.
This sets a precedent. If Weiss wants it, she will let it be known. Rather than give vague, out of place hints and expecting me to just know what she wants.
… Anyway.
Her blush deepens even further as she gets in my lap. Straddling me with her knees at my sides, placing her hands on my shoulders as she starts squeezing them.
"So, this is how you do a massage?" I ask with a knowing smirk.
"Shut up!" She hisses as her ears splay back. "I know what I'm doing!"
"Oh I don't doubt that." I say as I move my hands to her sides and rub them gently, earning a shiver from her as I watch her tail flick and twitch behind her. "But I doubt you intend to just give me a massage." I add as she squeezes my shoulders harder.
"I, have no idea what you're implying." She says with a breathy shake in her voice as her tone loses some of its harshness. "B-but I'd appreciate, you not make any b-baseless accusations."
"Oh, they're not baseless." I say as I lean forward to rest my forehead to hers as I move my hands up and stop just before I reach her chest, then start moving them back down.
"Mmmm!" She gives a little whine as my hands retreat back down to her sides. "You, you are such a pig!"
"And you, are a bad liar." I whisper while I move my hands to wrap around her back and pull her close as I tilt my head and kiss her neck.
"Hah!" She squeaks as a full body shiver shoots through her as I feel my blood all rush to one spot. "Stop!"
"But I don't want to." I pull up to whisper in her ear. "I want to hear you."
She lets out a sharp gasp as I nibble the fleshy part on the bottom of her ear. Before going back down and nibbling on her collar bone.
"Y-y-y-you!" She shakily gasps. "You can't just, just, ah! Oh gosh."
I move my hands down to her rear and give a squeeze. She doesn't have a butt as plump and toned as Ruby's. But it's still nice and firm. And does have some decent cushioning to it that her skirt hides well. All making it so that feeling it quiver in my hands is a nice treat.
"Speak up Weiss." I say softly with a chuckle in the back of my throat as I move my hands under her skirt.
And immediately feel how wet she is, her own slickness on her thighs. And I'm sure if she stood up, I'd see a decent wet mark on my jeans.
"Sh-shut, stop talking!" She whines as she plants herself down fully. Jolting as she sits right on my bulge. "Ahn! Hrmm!"
She squeezes her eyes shut as her shoulders tremble before she starts grinding on my bulge.
Feeling, a bit evil. I lift her up and place her on the bed next to me. Earning a confused whine from her.
"Well, that was a good massage." I say as I get up and stretch. "But I need to get a bath."
"What, but, you, why, you jerk!" She shouts.
I look back to her, and hold in a smirk at her red face. Tears pricking the edges of her eyes.
"What's the matter?" I say as I turn around and lean over, causing her to lean back as I place my hands on the bed. "You said it yourself, it was just a massage right? Unless you, want more?"
"I, I, I, I." She stutters as she moves her arms back to catch herself from falling over onto the bed. Face red, her chest heaving in anticipation.
"What do you want Weiss?" I ask as I get close.
"I, I, I want." She tries to force out. "I want you, to, to, to stop being such an inconsiderate dunce!"
Grinning, I push her back with one arm as I stand up.
"What was that-" She starts to say as she sits up.
"Stay put." I say sternly as I shrug my shirt off and toss it at her.
"Yes sir." She eeps as she catches the shirt and holds it close. Hiding the lower half of her face as she stares at me with wide, expectant eyes.
I sit on the edge of the bed and lean over, untying my boots and kicking them off before undoing my belt.
Sliding my belt off, I look back to the horny fox. Her face redder than Ruby's cloak as her nose is buried in my shirt. Her tail wagging behind her viciously.
"Well?" I ask as I roll my hips and crawl on the bed, crawling over as she leans back further and further until she's laying down. "Are you going to tell me what you really want now?"
I take the shirt and toss it away. Revealing her face in all of its blushing, wide eyed, panting beauty.
"I, want, you." She says, tears forming in her eyes as I bring my hand to caress her cheek. "You, I want you."
"You want me to what?" I ask with a grin as I trail my hand down.
"Rmmm!" She whines as she squirms under me. "J-just, t-touch me!"
"That's more like it." I say as I move my hand down to her chest and give it a soft squeeze, causing her back to arch as she moans under me. "Anything else?"
"I, I want. I want you to, do what you want." She whines with glossy eyes. "Stop asking me, please! Just, just do."
'She wants me to take control.' I realize with, more than a little bit of satisfaction.
"In that case." I say as I trail my hand down her side and to the hem of her skirt. "I want you to get up, and I'll lay down as you sit in my lap. Got it?"
"Yes sir." She nods breathily.
We reposition ourselves. With Weiss's back to my chest as she sits in my lap. I hold her from behind as I trail one hand down to her dress's hem, while the other gropes her chest.
"Now, don't hold back." I say as I snake my hand under her dress and find her slit through her panties. Not that it was particularly hard with how wet she is.
"Ah!" She gasps as I bite down on her fox ear and begin slowly rubbing through her underwear. "Cyril, that's ahhaaahh!"
She arches her back as she moans. Putting her hand to my own on her chest as she interlocks her fingers over mine.
"Ahn!" She squeals as I press her sex a bit harder. Finding that little hood and rubbing gently around it.
"You have a beautiful voice." I say as she shivers. Wiggling her butt back and forth. Grinding her ass against my cock.
"Haaaahn~!" She moans louder. "I, I, I want you, you to."
She doesn't finish her request, but her tail presses harder into my back as it wraps around to do so. While she keeps grinding her ass into my bulge, flinching with an eep anytime my bulge presses against the base of her tail.
I bite her other ear as I start to curl my fingers into her sex, earning a gasp as she writhes against me. Panting as she gives desperate little moans.
"Hah! I'm, I'm going to, Cyril I'm-" She starts tensing up, squeezing my hand with her thighs.
"Good girl, let it out." I say and kiss her cheek.
No sooner had I said that, she cums. Nearly crushing my hand with her thighs as she arches her back. Throwing her head back as she clenches her eyes shut and bites her lip.
"Mmmmmrrrrrrrmmmmnnn!" She squeals, before going slack like a puppet with its strings cut. Panting as she relaxes against me. "Ha, ha, ha, hmmm. This, was, supposed to be, for you. Not, me." She pants out.
"Who said we're done?" I whisper, causing her to tense a little.
"Y-you intend, to keep going?" She asks with wide eyed disbelief, and a little bit of hope. "I-I suppose, I could go again."
Her tone is one of exasperation, but she's already rubbing her thighs together. With my soaked hand still between them. And she's already biting her lip as she does so.
She gets up and gets on her knees to face me. Giving me bedroom eyes as she starts to slide her dress off, where I grab her hand and stop her. Giving her a smirk that earns a gulp from her.
"Let me." I say as I slide my hands down her slim form and under her dress. Without waiting for a response, I lift her dress up, and as soon as I do. Weiss leans forward and crashes our lips together.
Unhooking her bra as we make out, I toss it to the side along with her dress.
"Pahh!" Weiss gasps for air as she pulls back, feverishly moving her hands down to my pants to unbutton and unzip them. Where she hurriedly pulls my pants and boxers down. Freeing my fully erect cock.
She sort of, freezes after that. Looking as though she was going on instinct, and that instinct doesn't know where to go at this point.
Putting a hand under her chin, I tilt the desperate looking girl's face up to look her in the eye. Smiling I lean forward and kiss her, before grabbing her by the ass and pulling her back into my lap.
"Hmmm!" She squeals as my cock presses against her damp panties.
She pulls back again, and turns around in my lap. Holding her legs together as she pulls her underwear off and tosses them to the side. Now with both of us completely naked, she places her hand on my cock between her thighs as I hold her hips.
Her tail wraps around my midsection, pressing into my back as she angles my dick to her pussy. Needing to get up on her knees a bit in order to aim it.
I suck in a breath through my nose as she sinks down with a moan. Her tight folds squeezing my length almost protectively.
"I, took it all." She says in a light, shaky voice.
"That you did, good job." i say as I hug her tightly from behind. And I swear I felt her pussy clench me tighter while I wrap my arms around her waist, before she starts moving on her own. Slowly at first, probably to adjust due to our size difference, because that does not last long.
"Ha ha ha harder!" She squeals as she bounces in my lap. "P-p-please Cyril! I-I want you-AH!"
She doesn't finish her sentence as I start thrusting up. Meeting her bounces with my own thrusts. Causing loud wet plaps to sound out as her ass meets my hips.
"AaaaaaH!" She moans in a shaky voice as I thrust harder, my balls coming up to slap her mons with each plap. "Yes! Right there! Oh lord yes!"
Leaning forward, I bite the tip of her fox ear. Making her squirm harshly in my lap as I feel her clamp down on cock. Biting her lip as she squeals and squeezes her thighs together.
I let go of her ear and hold her waist tightly. Bouncing her myself as I try to reach my finish with her.
"Oh fuck me!" Weiss practically screams. "Call, call me a good girl again! Please!"
Fully caught up in the moment, I comply easily.
"You're a good girl." I say as I feel myself getting close.
"Yes! I'm, I'm a good girl!" She screams as she cums. "I'm your good girl!"
I grit my teeth and hold her hips down as I cum. The tightness of her folds milking me for all I'm worth as I feel Weiss quiver in my lap. Back arched as she tenses up and bites her lip. Trembling with each pulse of my cock as I unload inside her.
About half a minute later, and she once again starts to relax. Going slack as she lifts her right leg above her head in an impressive display of flexibility. Turning around in my lap, she faces me with my dick still inside her. Putting her leg down, she moves forward and rests her head on my chest. Nuzzling her head into me.
Getting the hint, I bring a hand up to her head and rub the spot between her ears as I bring my other arm around to hold her. Humming contently as she rubs her face into my pecs.
After about ten minutes of this she sits back up. Blushing as she gives me glossy bedroom eyes before she closes them and rolls her hips. Grinding her sex on me with my cock still in her. Letting out a low moan, she starts bouncing again.
"You're insatiable." I say as she goes for round two.
"It's your fault." She opens her eyes to glare at me.
"How is this my fault?" I ask as I grab her hips and help her bounce.
"It, it just is!" She huffs out as she leans back and bites her lip. "Aaahaaha!" She goes wide eyed at the new angle before leaning forward again. Placing her hands on my shoulders to keep herself steady.
"Bad angle?" I ask awkwardly.
"Shut up! It's your fault!" She demands as she starts bouncing. Her skin shining with sweat as her tits jiggle slightly. "If your dick wasn't so oversized then it, rrmmm! It wouldn't be an issue! It's a wonder, I got it to fit in the first pla-ace!"
My cock throbs at her words, and I have no doubt she felt it as she shivers. Eyes going up briefly as she moans, before closing her eyes and tilting her head down. Opening them to look me in the eye with a desperate, pleasure ridden face. Blushing, eyes half lidden, sweating and lips parted as she pants.
"You want me to shut up, you'll have to make me." I challenge, causing her to lunge forward and smash our lips together.
While liplocked, she takes my hands and moves them lower. Resting under her ass as she bounces. And I take the hint, lifting the girl moaning into my mouth, helping her bounce higher.
"Mrrmmm!" She practically screams in my mouth as I help lift her so that just the tip is left. Before plopping her right back down. "Hrrrrmmmmm!"
"Too much?" I ask as we separate for air.
"I love you." She pants back, locking our lips together before I can say anything else.
This continues for a about a minute. Her bouncing going from short and fast, furious pumps. To long and hard strokes. Before Weiss separates for a breath of air. A breath that turns into a moan as her eyes roll up before clenching shut. And I feel her start to tremble. Her shoulders jerking as her back starts to arch. My arms straining as she forces herself down on my cock harder and harder.
She bites her lip as she cums again. Letting out high pitched squeals as she tries to contain herself. Slamming herself all the way down as she quivers and soaks my crotch, again. Wiggling her hips as she rides her high.
She stays there for a bit, before she starts bouncing again.
"Holy crap, you're-" I start to say before she cuts me off by a particularly harsh slam of her ass on my lap.
"Just shut up and fuck me!" She shouts with a hard bounce. "Please! I need this so much right now!"
'Holy shit.' Is as I can think as she begs me to rail her.
"As you wish, anything for my good girl." I grin as I start to lean forward and push her onto her back.
"Yes! Just like this!" She squeals before biting her lip as I start grinding my hips against hers. And she wraps her legs around my waist to meet my thrusts. Wrapping her arms around me as well to trap me in a hug as I fuck her senseless. "Call me a good girl! Make me your good girl!"

Weiss Schnee POV
.
'Why does this feel so good!?' I beg to know as I feel a comforting yet raging heat fill my body once more. Starting from my core where I'm repeatedly being stretched and filled.
"Right there, right there. Oh, fuck me!" I can't help but let out as Cyril finds that really good spot deep inside me. My legs wrapped around his waist as his massive dick plunges in and out of me. His balls likely leaving imprints on my rear as they slap down with each thrust.
I prefer this position. Where I can see him. His dopey, pleasure ridden face as he breathes harsh, ragged breaths. His sweat dripping down on me as he works me and himself mad. My arms around his shoulders as his glossy silver eyes focus all their attention on me. The heavy scent of our joining mixing in the air and constantly bringing me back to wanting more.
"Please!" I shout as I feel my third, or fourth, orgasm building. Holding him as tight as I can as I feel scores of white hot pleasure shoot through me. "Say it again! For me!"
"You're my good girl." Cyril pants out before kissing my forehead. Filling my chest with a comforting warmth that explodes throughout my body as I bury my face in his chest.
My stomach does backflips as I try to hold on. Trying to hold off my orgasm as much as I can. Despite the motion of everything as I'm rocked into the clouds.
"Hmm! Hmm! Hmm!" I whine through my nose. And I feel all hell break loose inside me as soon as Cyril bites my ear. "Aaaaah!"
I throw my head back and see spots as my legs clamp down on his waist. My mind blanking for a moment as all I focus on is the warmth exploding through my body. Traveling up and down my spine as my legs quiver. Cyril doesn't stop either, not that I want him to.
Though, thankfully he's not too far behind me as I feel him start to thrust erratically before slamming all the way into me. Sending a jolt of electricity to the base of my tail, and all the way up my spine as his dick throbs.
"Ha, ha haaa." I let out as I feel a wave of exhaustion sweep over me, pulling me to blissful sleep before I'm jolted back awake by him pulling out. Sending tingles of unwanted, overstimulation as I'm way too sensitive right now.
"Why, are you so good, at that?" I huff as he rolls over to his side, and I cling to his arm and let him hold me.
"I, don't have an answer for that." He pants as I place my ear to his chest. Listening to his heart thud as it gently slows down.
"Then shut up and kiss me." I demand as I look up.
"Anything for my, good girl." He grins like the cat that caught the canary.
I slap his chest for that one.
"You will tell no one of that." I say seriously. Hoping my look of seriousness gets across to him.
"It'll be our little thing." He chuckles, his chest reverberating with the act.
I bury my face in his chest. Not wanting to demean my seriousness with my blush as I mule over one word.
Our.
'Love isn't real.' I tell myself. 'It's a series of complex and simple chemical reactions in the brain meant to spur on the instinct to procreate and care for young so as to ensure the survival of the species.'
Then I guess I have a chemical addiction.

3rd person POV
.
"Holy shit." The purple haired Nebula sighs breathily as she and her teammates keep their ears to Team Silver's door. Faces red, eyes wide, and panties damp after having heard almost the entire ordeal.
"Guess what they say about Atlesians is true." Gwen says as she bites her lip. Having pictured herself in Weiss's place. Imagining it was her screaming on a bed that sounded as though it was one second away from breaking. Wanting nothing more in this moment than to be apart of that.
"I am so heading to the red light district tonight." Octavia says breathily as she turns from the door, freezing in place as she spies a certain individual.
"You have money, we get it." Dew gripes. With Vacuo having a major wealth disparity, you either had money. Or you didn't. And most did not.
"Do you think if we asked nicely, we'd, I'dunno. Get to join?" Gwen asks shyly.
"This isn't Vacuo, Gwen." Nebula sighs, knowing the difference in cultures. "I doubt they'd be up for a night scorcher."
Night scorcher, being Vacuoan slang for an orgy. Playing off the term steamy night.
"Yeah, besides it'd still be five girls and one guy." Dew adds. "None of us are gay, and I doubt any guy can outlast a team of four girls."
"Hrmm, why couldn't one of you be a hot guy?" Nebula bemoans her luck, or lack thereof, in getting put on a team of all straight girls.
"We could always ask if they're down for a few nights of one nighters." Dew shrugs as she gets away from the door after hearing the couple inside getting into their bathroom. "Worst they could say is no."
"Oh I can think of a few worse things than a simple no." A new, innocent sounding voice says.
"Oh yeah, like, what?" Dew scoffs as she turns to the new voice. Having yet to register that it is a new girl.
"I could not give you a ten second head start." Ruby says with a smile as her eyes glow from under her hood. Taking out Crescent Rose and cocking the bolt. "If you all scatter into different directions, this might take long enough for me to calm down and leave one of you alive and conscience!" She says with a cheerful grin that'd be more in place if she weren't threatening murder.

Weiss Schnee POV

I sigh as I lean back against his broad chest and let the warm water run over us. Sitting down in his lap as the tub slowly fills up around us.
I, think I may have tired him out more than any of the fighting in combat class did. I know he certainly did more of a number on me than anyone in the ring. And I can only pray that my aura will heal the soreness and any bruising before tomorrow.
"So, anything you want to talk about?" Cyril asks as he wraps his arms around me.
"I'm not up for a third round." I say automatically.
'I mean, I wouldn't refuse if he insisted on it.' I think as a the heat finds its way into my face. 'What's one more? Or two?'
"Not what I meant." Cyril chuckles. "Sorry to say, I don't think I could if I wanted to right now. No I, just wanted to talk."
"I'd, rather not." I say as I turn to the side in his lap, laying down comfortably on him as the water makes its way to our hips. "You can talk, but I'm just tired."
"So fussy." He chuckles as he wraps his arms around me and holds me tight. "That's fine, we can rest."
"I'm not fussy." I defend as rub my head against his chest. "Now, hold me."
He does so, allowing me to relax and let out a sigh. Glad that, that I can just relax. Knowing he'll be right here in case something happens.
"Hey." He shakes me a little, causing my eyes to snap open and my to jump a little. "Don't fall asleep on me. Be really awkward if you drowned."
"I wasn't falling asleep." I say as I sit up a little and stretch my back.
"Yes you were." He chuckles softly.
Not my fault he's comfortable.

Ruby Rose POV
.
"So, just a quick question." I say as I hold my baby's blade against the purple haired girl's neck. Said girl pressed against a tree. "Is your interest in my boyfriend romantic?"
"No! I swear!" She pleads as she tries to push the blade away. "I wasn't stealing your man, or your girl! I'm straight you see so, no need to get, drastic!"
"So it was just, physical to you?" I ask, hoping to make sure the, charges are accurate before justice is served.
"Yes! Exactly!" She nods with an awkward smile. "Purely physical attraction! I can just, find it somewhere else! No need to uh, continue this. I know now they are off limits!"
That's what I was fearing. If it were because she wanted to get to know him, and see where that would go. I'd let her go and apologize! There's nothing wrong with being lonely and wanting a relationship.
But, she's just a slut after my partner.
"Um, you, you can let me go now?" The purple haired strumpet says shakily. "I wasn't even going to ask! You told me off before the dance remember?"
'Oh yeah!' I think to myself as my eyes widen in recollection. 'I remember now. I did warn her away from Cyril.'
"You remember!" She says nervously with a laugh. "So um, we're good right? You know I'd never go after your man."
"Then what were you doing with your team at our door?" I ask with a glare.
"I, uhhhhhhh." She looks around as she tries to think of something. "I swear it wasn't what it looked like."

Cyril Leon POV
.
"You don't have to rub it in you dick." Blake glares as I lay out the tray of dessert sushi, a full bowl of cheesy mashed potatoes, three slices of pizza, and a two liter of Black Cherry soda.
"We, as sentient and sapient beings are not required to do many of the things we do." I say with a smile. "But we nonetheless do them." I say and eat a bit of sushi. "That, and I need the calories after all that exercise from earlier."
"You did get put through several fights." Weiss nods as she sips her tea.
"I mean, that too I guess." I nod my head to the side. And Weiss chokes on her tea as her eyes snap open. Causing the drink to come out of her nose as her tail jerks straight up.
"Cuh cuh, cack!" She coughs into her fist before turning a pointed glare at me and smacking my shoulder.
"Oh, that was perfect timing." I laugh, before I notice something. "Wait, where's Ruby?"
At my question, Blake gives me a confused look. Tilting her head to the side as she speaks.
"What, you didn't exercise with her?" Blake asks. "She was heading back to the dorm after Penny beat her."
I shake my head In response as I reach for my scroll and fish it out of my pocket. Pulling up the Team app, I see she's still above ninety percent aura, and it's not going down. So she doesn't seem to be in trouble.
"She seems fine, so-" I start to say as I look up.
"Can I have all members of Team Silver to my office." Ozpin's calm voice comes over the intercom. "I repeat, can I have all members of Team Silver to my office. Now."
"Why do I have a bad feeling about that?" Weiss groans as she rests her face in her hands.
.
.
-Ozpin's Office-
.
.
"What in the name of oblivion Ruby?" I sigh as I lean back and rub my eyes.
Sat in Ozpin's office, I just learned that Ruby had attack Team Indigo. All of them. And left them strewn out across the entire campus. Some tied up, some unconscious.
"I had good reason!" Ruby defends, though she refuses to look at us directly as I reach to the tray I brought with me and eat a piece of sushi.
What? I earned it, it's mine. Like hell I'm just leaving my food there. To hell with what Weiss says about etiquette.
"And just what could have led to the decision to leave Octavia tied to a pillar in the courtyard?" Weiss demands to know.
"What I want to know is how you managed to find that much duct tape." Blake comments from her chair as she rests her head on her fist.
"That's not the point!" Weiss raises her voice.
"But it is an important question." I say after swallowing, and continue before Weiss can berate me. "How did she manage to chase down four huntresses in training, and grab supplies to restrain them?"
The question doesn't go unanswered for long as Ruby clears that up.
"One of them ran past one of the supply closets, so I uh, borrowed some." Ruby says, still looking at the ground. "But they deserved it! I caught them with their ears to our door while you two were, um, you know."
'Okay, that does change a few things.' I mentally relent. 'But not the fact that she's still in the wrong. Just not as in the wrong as previously thought.'
"O-oh." Weiss stutters as her face goes red and her ears splay back. "W-well that changes things. In that case, well I suppose since no one suffered any permanent damage."
"From what I've heard, I'm surprised they need to be that close." Blake comments under her breath as she looks to her left, away from us.
Ignoring her for now.
"You're not seriously condoning what Ruby did, are you?" I ask with a sidelong stare.
"I've no sympathy for such degenerates who would feel it appropriate to eavesdrop on, a massage." Weiss says with a straight face.
"So that's what we're calling it now, a massage?" I ask with a raised brow.
"Yes, we are." Weiss says with a tone of finality, her head tilted up as she sits prim and proper. "Because that's all that happened."
"Ahem." Ozpin coughs into his fist. Gaining our attention.
"I am so sorry you had to bare witness to that, disgraceful display." Weiss says as she stands up and bows.
"He's seen worse." I say as I lean back.
"Cyril." Weiss and Blake hiss at me.
Though they flinch and stop glaring at me as Ozpin chuckles.
"You're not wrong Mister Leon." Ozpin says with a small smile, before returning to his more serious demeanor. "But, that being said. You are also right in that this is an issue. If they were members of Beacon's student body, then this could be solved in house. As it is, I must get ahold of Headmaster Theodore to discuss what to do going forward."
"We understand sir." Weiss says. "And we'll accept any punishment you see fit."
"I'm glad you said that." I wefacepalm at Ozpin's immediate response. "Because you will be punished."
"Wait, why are we being punished?" Blake asks as she points between all four of us.
"Because between this, Mr. Winchester and the third year Miss Burn." He says, looking between all of us. "It has become apparent that there is an issue of excessive force, and enabling on this team."
'Wait, what about a Burn girl?' I think to myself.
"No kill like overkill!" Ruby snaps her fingers into finger pistols. Before stopping as everyone looks to her with, very unamused expressions. "Sorry, just sort of, popped into my head."
"Right." Ozpin says slowly. "Anyway, as it stands. This is a team issue. And as such, the problem needs to be handled just as such. As a team. Some of you have issues controlling tempers and impulses. So, I'm doing what I feel best."
"A-and what's that?" Weiss asks.
"I'm calling the parents of those involved in this incident." Ozpin says. "Well, those I'm permitted to anyhow. Congratulations! The Hunter you'll be assigned to shadow has already been decided a week in advanced of your mission. Needless to say, your missions has also been chosen for you."
I groan as that bit of knowledge sinks in.
.
.
"So." I say to try and break the awkward silence in the elevator. "How'd the mini tournament exercise go? All I know is that I won."
And I just soured my own mood as I recall the lunch buffet I was forced to abandon for this. I finished the tray I brought with me. But I was allowed as much as I want, and lunch is over already.
"Well, Sage got called up to fight and swapped out to Jaune to fight Penny after she tangled his weapon in her wires and effectively disarmed him." Ruby starts recalling. "After that, Penny swapped right to me. Stating she wished to see a fight between me and Jaune. Where I won. Quite easily I might add."
"She hooked her scythe around his shield and shot him in the head. Yanking his shield and him with it, then tossing him out of the arena." Blake adds.
"Ring outs still count!" Ruby protests Blake's rather, anticlimactic retelling. "I got a point, I beat him. That's all that matters."
"Good job." I say and pat her head. "You're learning."
"Heh." She preens, before continuing as I stop once the elevator door opens. "Anyway! Russel got called in to fight after Jaune, where I beat him by getting close and planting Crescent Rose down and spin kicked him out of the arena. I was all, stab, and whoosh, Nooo! He was all, noo, not me. "
"We got that." Weiss says dryly.
I take a second to register what she said. Not that it's surprising or anything. But my mind spaced out for second and I thought she said Crescent Rise for some reason.
Regardless, Ruby's spin kicks are no joke. She kicks, as hard as I punch. So I can see how that went down.
"Then Octavia got called in." Ruby says awkwardly as she brings up the girl she left tied to a pillar in the courtyard. "I beat her. Sage was next, I beat him by whittling down his aura." She keeps going as we walk outside and head for the dormitories. "Then uh, Gwen forfeited and Penny got back in the ring and she uh, I lost."
"So, in keeping track that means Cyril finished first, Ruby second, and Jaune third?" Weiss tallies up.
I am so tempted to make a joke about how I don't finish first. But I refrain, for now.
"Yep!" Ruby says and digs into her pocket. Pulling out a wad of cash, like, five notes of twenties. "Momma's got money!"
"It's just a hundred lien." Weiss says. "That's not even enough for a new pair of shoes."
I take personal offense to that. I always bought twenty dollar pairs of sneakers from Walmart and I made those fuckers last. The fuck you mean a hundred isn't enough?
"Where are you getting your shoes?" Blake asks in disbelief.
"Um, from the cobbler?" Weiss says like it's obvious, and we all stop to look at her. "What?"
"You don't get your shoes from a store?" Ruby asks.
"They sell shoes in stores?" Weiss asks, and I have to stop myself from laughing.
"We saw them when we went dress shopping!" Ruby says.
"I thought they were just advertising a contracted cobbler!" Weiss defends as she crosses her arms.
"Why would they advertise something they aren't selling right there?" Blake asks.
"I don't know!" Weiss defends with a wave of her hands. "I'm not aware of all of Vale's business customs. In Atlas, a store will have a display of a series of items you can order custom commissions of from a skilled artesian. They have a catalogue next to the display with the artisan's scroll hours so you can negotiate and set up a meeting."
"That sounds, like a lot." Ruby says. "Our cobbler on Patch just lives near the bullhead station with his wife and three kids."
"I've, never seen or met a cobbler." I confess, not wanting to be left out.
"What?" Blake says as everyone looks to me now.
"Do you, resize and repair your own shoes?" Ruby asks curiously. "Because if so, can you do mine? That'd save me so much money."
"No I, just buy shoes and wear them." I shrug.
"What if they don't fit right?" Weiss asks curiously.
"And what if the pair of shoes doesn't come in the size you want?" Blake asks.
"What do you do when yours break?" Ruby adds on to the pile of questions.
"I just, wear them and get used to them." I say, not really having anything else to say. "So you all buy shoes, then have them tailored at a cobbler?"
"Yes." Ruby says plainly and holds out a leg. "I've had these boots since I was thirteen. Had them resized and repaired about ten times."
"Really?" Weiss asks as she looks down. "Whomever your village's cobbler is, they're quite skilled. I'd have assumed those were brand new for Beacon."
"Yeah." Ruby preens once more, fists on her hips as she puffs out her chest. "Patch has one of the best cobblers in Vale. And I'm on a first name basis with him."
"Weird brag but okay." Blake says, before looking down at her own heeled boots. "Actually, think you can put me in touch? Mine might be due for some stitch work."
"So once again I'm the weird one." I mutter to myself.
"I feel it cycles between you, Ruby and Blake." Weiss says curtly.
"From my perspective, you three are the weird ones." Blake adds as she leans to one side.
"I'm not that weird." Ruby mutters.
"Normal is overrated." I add, again just wanting to add something.

-Dorms-
.
.
"My Baby!" Summer shouts as we open the door to our dorm. Arms open wide and full of smiles as she rushes over and almost pushes us out of the way.
"Whyyyy?" Ruby groans as Summer throws her arms around her daughter's shoulders.
"Because someone didn't learn from when they broke up with Hyde." Summer says matter of factly in a falsely happy tone.
"Why do people keep talking about that?" Ruby whines as she slumps further.
"Okay that's like, the third time I've heard of Hyde or Gray, what happened?" I ask, now a bit concerned. "Should I be worried?"
"Only if you, no you should be fine." Summer answers way too quickly for my taste as she steps back. "Now, first thing's first. A bit out of the blue but, who's bed is that?" She says as she points to Ruby's bed in the corner.
"Um, mine." Ruby says with a confused look.
"Oh, well then." Summer says with a plastic smile. "Perhaps you can explain this?"
She then pulls out a black, hardback book from under her white cloak. The cover being all black with red calligraphy reading, Ninjas of Love.
"That's the book we found shoved behind the bookcase." Weiss says, before quietly muttering. "I was wondering where that went."
"Um, it's a uh, it's um." Ruby stutters, her hood and angle from me hiding her face from my view. "What are you doing in my room!?"
"I was going to surprise you when I heard that I'll be your assigned Hunter for your quarterly mission." She says happily. "I was going to bake you cookies and everything! Then I heard why. So I came by to give you a stern talking to. I sat down to wait, and felt this under my butt. So, why are you reading porn?"
"P-p-p-porn!?" Weiss says with a red face. "Ruby!"
"It's not, not that!" Ruby says as she grabs the book and holds it close to herself. "It's a guide to dating for Hunters!"
'That doesn't even sound remotely true.' I think with a roll of my eyes. 'There's no way she honestly expects Summer to believe that. Right?'
Please tell me Ruby isn't that dumb.
"Ruby." Summer says with that same plastic smile. "Be honest with me. Have you been emulating characters in that book as a baseline for your own relationships?"
"N-not, entirely." Ruby says sheepishly.
…
'Well then. She wasn't dumb enough to think Summer would believe it.' I think as I mentally check out for hot minute. 'Because she was dumb enough to believe it herself.'
"Ruby, this is porn." Summer says. "It says so in the cover letter. You have to know this is not in any way a reflection for how real relationships work."
I get a wave of second hand embarrassment as I remember when I was thirteen and my dad caught me watching porn. And later sat me down and explained, much like this, that what I say on the screen is not at all how it works.
Now I miss my dad. Great.
"But so many things worked when I- Why are you going through my stuff!" Ruby shouts as she reaches for the book, only for Summer to hold it up and away from the red reaper.
"I wasn't." Summer says as she keeps switching hands. "Like I said, I sat down on it."
"What are you doing in our room." I ask the more pressing question. "Pretty sure it's against the rules to invade our privacy like this."
"It's not." Weiss quietly says, almost robotically. "In the handbook, page one fifty eight. The dorms are Beacon property and may be subject to inspections for contraband or damages at any time. Missus Rose is under Headmaster Ozpin's employ and the Guild of Valean Hunters so she's credentialed to enter and inspect the rooms."
I think on that as I watch Ruby die on the inside, right in front of me. Summer giving her a stern talking to as Ruby still defends the book as a dating guide.
"There's a handbook?" I ask Weiss, who only groans.
.
.
"So, you must have gotten it from somewhere." Summer says as we're all sat on Blake's bed. My bed being off limits for, obvious reasons.
The sheets and mattress and all of it are clean! Just, the principle of it. And Weiss refuses to let anyone dirty her own bed.
Even though she almost never uses it.
"Okay? Books don't just grow wings and fly under people's blankets." She gives a pointed smile to Ruby. "They're not like cookies."
"I was six!" Ruby shouts. "When are you going to let that go!?"
Summer doesn't answer as she looks to me.
"What about you? Did you leave this around to poison my daughter's mind?" She asks sweetly. "Be honest."
"Do I look like I read-"
"Good point." She says and moves on to Weiss.
"-Those, kind of books." I finish, before raising my hands in mock surrender. "You know what? No, I'm just gonna take the out."
"What about you little snow fox?" She asks sweetly.
"Do I-" Weiss starts off in an offended tone.
"Yes." Summer says immediately. Causing Weiss to choke on her own breath. "Sweetie, I've been to my fair share of soiree's in Atlas acting as security. I know what you Atlesian's will get up to when you think no one is watching. And sometimes when they are."
"Aaaaaaaaeeeehhh." Weiss drawls out with a pained squeal. Face beet red as she looks positively scandalized and ready to cry.
"Mom stop this please!" Ruby groans into her hands. "Didn't you always say to pull from the wisdom of stories? How is this any different?"
"By the grace of every god that is willing to hear." I groan as I pinch the bridge of my nose. "Give this girl some sense."
"Save your prayers sweetheart." Summer says. "I've worked her whole life on it, and I still failed."
"Why is everyone being mean to me?" Ruby whines as she brings her knees up to hide her face.
"Because you based the foundation of our relationship on the that of pornographic material." Weiss says snippily as she crosses her arms, refusing to look at Ruby.
"Wait, is that why Ruby's been acting so weird around us?" I ask, looking to Weiss.
It would explain the constant false bravado, pushy sexual tension. And cringe worthy attempts at getting me and Weiss to sleep with her.
And the constant attempts to get us to sleep with her. And not like how she was in the bathroom that one time we got into some heavy petting. That was awkward and cute.
"I would assume so." Weiss says in a light, irritated tone as Summer moves on to the true guilty party. "If she has been emulating characters from some smut novel."
"What about you, Kitten?" Summer asks as she holds the book up. "I know your from the Billi clan. I know this stuff is your forte."
'If ever there was a time for Blake to be offended by someone's statement.' I muse to myself. 'Now would be the time.'
"Not mine." She says, shaking her head with a pensive look. "Besides aren't, graphic romance novels allowed? They're not included in the banned contraband list."
"There's a list?" I ask with a frustrated look. "What else don't I know?"
"A lot." Weiss huffs.
She's, very upset.
"Hmm, well I can't get a confession so-" Summer starts to say.
"It's Blake's." I say dryly.
"You can't prove that!" Blake shouts. "It's not mine! And even if it was, I'd agree with Ruby. It's harmless literature."
"To read, yes. To base your actions on? No." Summer says. "And as per the school, it's not banned. But as a mother who knows her daughter and how she thinks. I need to nip this in the bud."
"Rose pun, nice." I snort.
"What?" Summer asks with a look of confusion. "No it, oh god Tai's rubbing off on me." She finishes with wide eyes before shaking her head and speaking further. "Okay Cyril, do you have proof? Because if not, then I'm assuming it's yours and you're just throwing your teammate under the bus. At which point I'll throw you out the window on principle."
"The bed we're on?" I say with a raised brow. "Pull it out. The book's stashed between the frame and the wall behind us."
"How do, would you know that?" Blake asks with a panicked glare. "Are you going through my stuff?"
I turn to face her with another flat look as I rest my head on my hand.
"Blake, humans can't see in the dark." I say calmly. "But we can see in low light, and in dimly lit shadows. Especially when our eyes adjust. Like say, when someone is showering and the bathroom light peeks out from under the door. I can see you reading, and hiding the book when the bathroom door opens."
I watch as the color drains from her face, and her ears splay back. Eyes wide as she stutters out a response she can't quite form.
Summer pushes between me and Weiss and leans over the bed. And I catch Weiss staring right at Summer's butt as she digs around behind us. I give said white haired girl a flat stare as her cheeks darken. Before Summer comes back with a copy of the same book in hand.
"There we go!" Summer says. "Now. Weiss, Cyril." She sets the books down on the floor and rubs our heads. "You two are good children. Go and wait outside while I have a chat with the two perv-, with your partners."
.
.
-20 minutes later-
.
.
"Soooo." I say slowly as we wait against the wall opposite of our dorm room door. "How do you think it's going?"
Blake is here too. She came out about ten minutes ago and has said nothing. Any attempt to talk has her refusing to talk to us.
"Ruby is realizing the error of her ways as they talk. Yes I can hear them, no I will not relate any further information as it is, very private." Weiss says curtly as she flicks her ears. "I will add that all it took was for her to realize Blake was basing the foundation of her own romantic beliefs on the themes in the book. And with how Blake's love life has gone."
She leaves the rest unsaid as she trails off.
"Fuck you too." Blake mutters bitterly.
"She speaks! So anyway, she realized it was Blake's book and realized she messed up. Got it." I say with a slow nod, bouncing lightly on my heels as we wait in further silence.
"Cyril, do I really come off as, perverse?" Weiss asks nervously.
I look down to her and see her blush as she averts her gaze. And I decide that honesty is what she wants right now.
"Not really." I shrug. "Or, at least not entirely."
"What do you mean by that?" She asks with a bit of bite as she whips her head around.
"Well, you stare at anyone with any amount of exposed skin." I comment, remembering how she just, zones out when a guy with an open shirt comes into her view. "And I caught you staring at Ruby's mom so-"
"That doesn't count!" Weiss says immediately. "Ruby and Missus Rose are nearly identical in appearance. Any gazes I may stray are, coincidental."
'You literally just admitted to ogling her mom.' I think with a raised brow as I side eye the closet pervert.
She genuinely doesn't come off as perverted. Just, honestly a bit prudish if anything. But that's only when it's just me and Ruby around. And Blake because she is honestly so quiet, it's easy to forget she's there sometimes.
"And Ruby's dad?" I ask. "Or Sun, Adam, or-"
"I get it!" She huffs. "I'm just some perverted little girl from Atlas in your eyes that-"
"If you'd let me finish." I cut her off. "I was going to say that it just makes you seem prudish and unaccustomed to seeing skin."
"Eep!" She squeaks as I hit the reset button and pull her in for a hug. Squeezing her tightly against me as I watch her tail sway.
"I never said you were a perverse, whatever." I kiss her head. "I'm just saying you have your moments. But I don't see you as particularly perverted. Even with the extra stuff about you that I get to see come out during our, massages."
"Hrmmamrm." She grumbles into my chest.
"What was that?" I ask as I let up and let her pull away a bit.
"You're an ass." Weiss mutters.
"How?" I chuckle as she pushes herself against me.
"You just are. Don't question me." Weiss says, turning her head to the side. Before her ears perk right up and she pushes away from me, coughs into her fist and stands beside me against the wall as the door opens to reveal Summer.
"You're good." She says with a smile as she walks over and hugs Weiss, squishing the girl's face between her breasts. "And I'm sorry for what I said sweetie. I just thought you might've been manipulating my little rosebud with perverted ideas. I'm sure you're a sweet lady."
"You heard what we said, didn't you?" I say, more than ask the other Faunus.
"Of course!" She grins and lets go of Weiss. "Now, you have things you need to work out with your team. I suggest you do so. And Cyril?"
'Here we go again.' I think tiredly as I prepare to hear it from momma bear. About how I should keep my hands off of her precious daughter and all that.
"Yeah?" I sigh.
"Start initiating already." She says lightly and slaps my shoulder, catching me off guard. "We had a while to talk and you need to be more proactive with Ruby and Weiss. Relationships only work with effort. You can't let them do all the work."
"MOM!" Ruby yells from the room as Summer walks away from us.
I just stand there, contemplating how I just got told to do more with her daughter. She might not have meant it like that but-
"And use condoms!" Summer shouts. "Birth control is fine! But in the field you don't always have access to it! And going off of it after being on it for a long time guarantees a baby! So best get used to-"
"MOM!" Ruby yells louder and Summer disappears around the corner.
…
Did I just have my girlfriend's mom tell me to sleep with Ruby more? Or is that just my hormone addled brain twisting things.
"What was said about me?" I turn and ask Weiss.
"Nothing, particularly negative." She says evasively while recovering from her blush and dusting off her skirt. "There were several positive things I assure you."
"Okay, I get you're trying to reassure me." I say as she walks ahead of me and back into our room. "But you could at least look me in the eyes when lie to me."
"I didn't lie." She humphs. "Many good things were said."
'Let it go Cyril.' I tell myself as I follow the heiress into our room.
.
.
"Ruby, I promise. We don't think any less of you." I tell the empty bed.
"Speak for yourself." Weiss mutters angrily. "Do not take this the wrong way Cyril, but for all of your faults you never based your approach to our relationship on any attempts to recreate a work of fiction."
'A bit of a backhanded compliment.' I think as I keep my irritation from showing. 'But, I feel she's overstating this issue.'
"Stop using big words!" Ruby whines from under the bed. "And let me die already!"
"Okay I'm not doing this." I say as I crouch down and reach for the girl hiding under her bed, while also hiding her face under her hood. "Come out here and we'll talk this out like adults."
"I'm just wanna be alone!" She whines as she struggles in grasp. "Let me wallow!"
"Too bad." I say as I grab her ankle and pull her out. "At this point you're doing this for attention."
"No I'm not!" She cries as I pick her up.
"If that were true, you'd have petaled away by now." I say while I holding Ruby as she deadweights in my arms.
"You said not to when you're holding me." She mutters quietly. "Said it makes you sick."
I did say that.
"Okay, now talk." I say as I set Ruby on her bed.
Ruby prefers to fidget in place as me and Weiss stare her down. Looking up at us once, before pulling her hood down to hide her face.
'Okay fuck this.' I think as I resolve myself to bite the bullet.
"Okay, I'll start." I say, deciding to be the responsible one. "I personally find it funny that you read an erotica and took that as a reference for dating. Makes me want to see what's in it for you to think that."
"Lot of fighting, traveling, saving people, and um, other stuff in between." Ruby trails off. "Lots of, stuff."
"Okay, well I don't appreciate being used as a set piece in your fantasy!" Weiss says angrily. "I've had people being fake to me my whole life, and here I thought you were one of the only people who were just being yourself around me! That you could trust me and be yourself. Now I find out you were putting on an act to seduce me and reenact scenes from a- I can't believe this." She says, throwing her arms out and looking away. "I can't even look at you. And today was such a good day."
"Weiss it wasn't like that! I swear!" Ruby says as she gets up. "I just, I don't know what to do around you two! So when we pulled out that book and read some of it, I figured if I just followed the examples in that book then I wouldn't look like an idiot."
'Okay, that's actually understandable.' I reflect.
"And how's that working for you?" Weiss asks with a sarcastic smile as she whips her head around.
'Damn, Ice Queen out here roasting.' I think as I look to Ruby, who's about ready to cry.
"I really don't think she was doing anything with malicious intent." I say to try and calm Weiss down.
"I don't see how you're so blasé about this!" Weiss huffs incredulously. "She was faking who she was around you too!"
"I just figured it was a phase of hers." I shrug, having notice the change in Ruby's attitude not long after she and Weiss started dating. "And honestly, it's hilarious when you think on it."
"How?" Weiss crosses her arms with a look that could kill.
"Was I, really, um, was I acting that different?" Ruby asks softly.
"Yes." Me and Weiss say at the same time before looking back to each other.
"Because nothing bad came out of it." I say.
"Nothing bad-" Weiss starts.
"Aside from your trust in her being damaged and that is important." I say with a hand raised. "What I mean to say is nothing irreversibly bad came of this. Ruby."
"Eep!" She flinches at me addressing her.
"How long have you been following that books advice?" I ask.
"Um, about, uh, three weeks? I guess?" She mutters. "Just before the dance and, um. Yeah. But that night went so well, and I followed the book's advice then!" She blushes. "And the night with, Weiss, and you. And the other times with me and Weiss."
This is so out of my field. It's not even fucking funny. It should also go to show how upset Weiss is, that she didn't correct Ruby's grammar.
"So just, three weeks?" I ask and turn to Weiss. "That's not too long, and let's be honest with each other. Ruby is an idiot."
"Hey!"
"Shut up I'm helping you." I point to her while looking at Weiss. "She's an idiot. She knows she did wrong now. You're hurt and you feel your time with her was a lie, whether in part or full. Ruby wants to make it up to you. Just, tell her how and if she can."
"Why are you so, on her side here?" Weiss asks curiously. "She lied to you as well."
"Technically she didn't lie." I point out. "She was just putting on an act. I'm just glad to that it can be over and we get the old, goofy and awkward Ruby back. I liked her more."
"You did?" Ruby asks with a light tone.
"Yes." I say with a bit of exasperation. "I adored your awkwardness and how you'd get when flustered. How you melt down and just fiddled and stammered when you didn't know what to say or do. I said it on our date, and I said it on Weiss and I's date. I like you girls, for who you are. Not when you put on acts for me or anyone else."
I turn to Weiss.
"To answer your question I- what's the matter?" I ask the teary eyed girl as she covers her mouth with her hands.
"Nothing, shut up! Keep going, I mean." She coughs into her fist and composes herself. "I'm fine, continue."
"Okay, well. I'm just keeping our future in mind." I say, and receive another blush. Ignoring it I continue. "Both far, and near. We have our first real mission. In a week. We can't have this kind of drama or any bad blood going on when that happens."
Not to mention, I sleep here. Life would get real awkward real quick with that level of drama going on. Be real awkward to have Weiss glaring at an awkward and sad Ruby as I'm trying to get my homework done.
"I, suppose you are correct." Weiss sighs and looks to Ruby. She then steps forward, and surprises both of us by gently grabbing Ruby's cheeks in both hands and pulling her in for a chaste kiss.
"I forgive you Ruby." Weiss tells the blushing girl as she pulls back. "But! I'm still upset with you, and you will be making it up to me."
"Anything!" Ruby says eagerly. "Do you want a new weapon? Or backrubs, I can make coffee! Kinda, or tea. Tea is good right?"
"See!" I say with a smile as I hold a hand out to gesture at the scene. "That's the Ruby I want to see."
Weiss gives me a flat look. And I awkwardly put my hand back to my side.
"You two, are having a moment." I say awkwardly. "Got it. I'll uh, just step out and wait with Blake."
"That would be appreciated." Weiss nods.
.
.
"Sooo." I say slowly as I stand next to Blake. "How's life been treating you?"
"Like a punching bag." Blake quips.
"I feel that." I say, trying to make small talk.
"Look, I get that you're trying to reach out and be friendly." She says. "The thought is appreciated. But, I have a lot on my mind right now. So don't take this the wrong way when I say I don't want to talk."
"That's fair." I sigh, my attempt crashing and burning miserably.
A few minutes later, and the door opens up to reveal Weiss again. Seeming much calmer than before, she steps aside and holds the door open for us.
"You two can come back in now." Weiss says curtly. "I believe our relationship issues are sorted for the time being."
"Well, alright then." I sigh as I head back into the room.
"For now, we need to discuss Ruby's, handling of our eavesdroppers." Weiss says as we enter.
'Fuck I forgot about that.' I think tiredly.
"I don't see anything wrong with it." Blake shrugs as she heads towards her bed and pulls the fucking porn book out from under her pillow and starts reading it.
"Seriously?" Weiss asks in disbelief. "After everything that just happened?"
Blake shrugs as she flips to the next page.
"If I caught anyone snooping on me in my private time, I'd shoot them." Blake says.
"I think she was referring to the porn." I say as Ruby stays quiet. "But your opinion is noted."
"What?" Blake asks with a glare. "You all clearly know about it now. I'm not about to just drop something I enjoy because you three have a sour opinion about it."
'Spoken like a coherent drug addict.' I think sarcastically.
"It's not banned. So I see no issue with me reading it." She says as she goes back to her book.
"I, don't have the head for this. Especially not right now." Weiss sighs as she rubs her forehead. Taking a breath, she puts her hands back to her hips. "Fine, one issue at a time. While I agree Ruby had every right to deal with Team Indigo, what she did was out of line and excessive."
"Eh. I think that's a matter of opinion." Blake says.
"She tied Octavia to a pillar, left Nebula unconscious against a tree in the back of the school, same with Dew. And then there's Gwen, who was also duct taped to a pillar. In the cafeteria, upside down." I list off.
"Exactly!" Weiss says pointedly. "If she just shot them it'd be understandable!"
'Wait what?' I reel and do a double take as I look to the short girl.
"What? That's worse." I say with no small amount of concern.
"How?" Weiss asks with a raised brow. "They'd have aura, they'd just take off and know they're not welcome. Shooting them is what I would do. Perhaps freeze them in place and let them sit, if I was feeling petty."
You know, after two months you'd think I'd key into the fact that this place revolves around violence for conflict resolution.
"Oh right, aura, how silly of me to forget." I say sarcastically.
"Yes, how silly." Weiss says with a concerned look on her face now. "Cyril are you alright?"
"I'm just tired." I say as I head to my bed for a nap. "You guys, decide on this without me. I'll defer to majority ruling."
So far I've woken up and went to a class I didn't have to go to. Fought for nearly an hour straight. Had a massage for half an hour. Got a bath, went to lunch where I was allowed to eat whatever and however much I wanted. Had that interrupted by getting pulled to the office by Ruby going psycho on a group of girls for eavesdropping. Granted I agree some violence was warranted due to what they were eavesdropping in on. Then came back to learn all of Ruby's weird and false bravado came from the fact she was emulating what she read in porn. And I learned this, from her mother. Then I had to mediate between an angry Weiss and an ashamed Ruby.
It isn't even two in the afternoon yet. I'm tired.

-1 hour later-

Weiss Schnee POV
.
I sit down on Cyril's bed by his waist. I know he said he was getting a nap, but I've seen him sleep enough to know the difference between him napping, and him tuning the world out.
"Ahem. I'd, like to thank you." I say as I clear my throat. "For keeping a clear head a bit ago. I understand I may have, gotten a bit heated. And I'd like you to know I acknowledge your maturity there."
"Mrm, you're good." He says as he rolls over. "Think nothing of it."
"I'd rather not." I counter. "You surprised me, I suppose even you have your moments. Normally, you're the one making light of serious situations and exasperating issues. There, you showed a great sense of responsibility."
"Don't see where you got the idea that I exasperate issues." He says while sitting up and popping his back.
Taking the offer, I scoot over and sit in his lap. Knowing he likes it when I do so. And he did keep me from saying or doing anything I may have regretted. So this little is the least I can do as to reward him.
"Really?" He says dryly with a wry smile.
"Yes, really." I say and wiggle back into him, leaning against his chest to get comfortable. Where he does what I expected and wraps his arms around me. "Thank you."
"You're more than welcome." He says as I close my eyes.
"Hey um, guys?" Ruby says awkwardly, and I look over to my girlfriend.
"Yes, Ruby?" I say tiredly. Still upset with the adorable idiot.
I, concede to the fact that I overreacted. But I'll not apologize for my anger. I've had enough people being fake and putting up acts around me that, as asinine as it was. Hearing the idea that someone I'm close to was doing so, it hurt.
It hurt a lot.
But as Cyril said, it came from a place of idiocy, not malice.
"Um, I uh, was just wondering." She mutters, a blush on her face as she looks down to her lap. "Um, if that, we could. Um, well since you and Cyril had some time together today."
I feel Cyril, poke my butt as Ruby talks. And I look up to the pervert with a glare.
"Not my fault." He says in a low whisper. "I have a cute girl in my arms while another cute girl is bringing up what I did to the cute girl in my lap."
I don't say anything as I ignore the pressing issue. Just hoping that it doesn't get too big while I ignore it.
"Huh?" Ruby cocks her head before blushing. "Oh no! Not that, I mean just, well if you want I wouldn't say no just that, well with everything and what my mom and, now that." She rambles off before coughing into her fist and looking up to us. "C-can I have a hug? And maybe some cuddles?"
…
I hate how cute she can be sometimes.
"Very well." I say as I get up, and walk over to her, wrapping my arms around the dork.
Before sniffing as I notice her smell. "Ruby, did you shower after your fights?" I ask as I pull back from her.
"Um, no?" The silver eyed dunce admits bashfully.
"Get a shower you idiot." I tell as I go back to Cyril, and sit right back down. Wiggling to get comfortable as, well.
"You're doing this on purpose." He hisses into my ear.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." I say, not willing to take responsibility for his perversions.
"Guys, I'm right here." Blake says as she looks up from her book. My face burning at the scandal as I move.
"We're not doing anything wrong." Cyril says as he pulls me back into his lap. Further scandalizing me!
"Let me go you-mph!" I turn to glare at him, only for the cad to sneak a kiss.
"No." He says and holds me tighter. "You're staying right here and I'm going to hug you until we fall asleep."
I feel myself unconsciously lean into him more. His warm arms holding me snug and secure as he nuzzles the bottom of his chin into my head.
"Th-that, okay." I relent, not willing to fight him on this. Seeing how clearly desperate he is for the comfort.

-Three days later, 11/12, SLBR Dorm, 7am-
.
.
"Your hair is so soft." Ruby says as I'm sat at my vanity as she brushes it. "And long, I wish mine was this long."
"If you took proper care of yours and grew it out." I say as I touch up my eyeliner.
"No, my hair starts to curl once it gets past my shoulders." Ruby counters. "And not even together, it's just tangly and a pain to brush. Even without that, my hair gets knots as I sleep. How do you keep yours so, so perfect?"
That, sounds odd. But her hair also naturally reddens as it gets longer. So perhaps it's just a thing with her? I've heard weirder before.
"Perhaps it's because you twist and turn in your sleep?" I suggest. "I tend to stay in one spot all night, so maybe that's it?"
"Well I can't control how I sleep." Ruby says as she stops brushing and taps the brush to her chin in thought. "Unless, what if I rigged up a pulley system with a bunch of counter weights that was attached to my wrists and ankles. So that any time I turn it forces me back into place?"
"Of all the hair care and sleep routines I've heard of." I tell her as I screw the cap onto my eyeliner. "That would somehow be the most complicated and unnecessarily complex one. And that should say something."
I stand up from my seat and trade places with Ruby. Where she sits down, and hands me her brush as I start brushing. Unlike me, Ruby doesn't have any makeup routine. And it makes me a tad jealous because her eyes are gorgeous. The shape and the full, thick lashes that frame them are all natural.
"How does it get this rough?" I ask as I brush her coarse hair. Well, not coarse, just knotted.
"I wish I knew." Ruby whines as her ears splay back and get in my way.
"It's probably from wearing your hood all the time." I observe. "If you stopped doing that, then maybe you'd not need so much effort on just brushing your hair."
"I can't do that!" She defends as I have to hold her ears up. "My hood hides, well, some things I'd rather keep hidden."
As a Faunus, I can sympathize and understand.
'Though, isn't Vale supposed to be one of the more accepting kingdoms?' I can't help but think. 'I certainly haven't had any issues as of late.'
"If you need to hide your ears, I have hair clips and bobby pins you can borrow." I tell her softly as I get the knots out.
"What?" Ruby looks back to me in the mirror with a puzzled look. "No, it's my eyes. Have you noticed how Cyril gets a lot of attention in classes and in the city because of them?"
"He does tend to become a focal point." I say immediately.
"Well, when people see my silver eyes, they tend to give me that same level of attention." Ruby says. "And, I don't like it. The attention, the expectations, the people constantly looking to you like you're the one with the solutions. Even when you don't have the answers, they just, assume you'll figure them out. Because of course you will! You're a Silver Eyed Warrior! A hero among heroes! If you don't have the answers, if you're not the best, if you-"
I cut her off with a hug. Resting my chin on her shoulder as I, I understand the sentiment. And, I'm proud of her for showing me this vulnerability of hers.
"It's okay." I say, and let back as I return to brushing her hair. "I get it, the knotted hair is a small price when compared to, the weight of expectation."
Ruby doesn't say anything as she stares down at the vanity desk. Staying silent the rest of the time it takes to fix her hair.
"Alright." Cyril says as he enters the room with an armful of food from the cafeteria. "I got a blackberry yogurt and count grey tea for Weiss, a double chocolate breakfast bar and milk carton for Ruby, a berry mix oatmeal cup and orange juice for Blake." He finishes just in time for said cat Faunus to step out of the bathroom. "And I ate mine on the way here."
He tosses us our food before heading to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Blake sits down on her bed and digs into her oatmeal as Ruby gets up and stretches. Grabbing her food and heading to her bed, where I follow so we can eat together.
"He'd make a great father." Ruby says out of nowhere causing me to nearly spill my yogurt.
"He… has his moments." I concede easily. Recalling the other day and how he defused a rather, delicate situation. And of how, virile he is.
'He'd certainly be good at making them.' I find those annoying intrusive thoughts telling me.
"Hmm." Ruby hums. Looking over, I see a blush forming on her face. "Hey Blake!"
"What?" Said girl asks as she looks up from her scroll, spoon still in her mouth from her last bite of food.
"Can I have the room to me and Cyril later this afternoon?" Ruby asks, causing me to nearly choke at her blatant request.
"Sure." Blake shrugs and goes back to her scroll. "I have something I need to do later anyway."
"Yes!" Ruby fist pumps, kicking up her knees as she grins. And nearly falling back on her bed. "Woah!"
I sigh tiredly at her idiotic, yet endearing antics.

Blake Belladonna POV
.
I take a deep breath as I steady myself. And knock on the door.
…
"Who is, oh. It's you." The Atlesian Faunus woman with shorter gray hair says as she opens the door. "You have twenty words before I close the door."
'Starting off bitchy. Lovely.' I think irritably, but keep to myself.
"Is Adam here?" I ask nervously. "I'd like to have a word."
"Eleven left." Trifa says as she crosses her arms and leans against the doorframe. "And no, he's out. So is Perry if you want to insult his family again, and so is Shay if you want to piss him off."
'She really is keeping track.' I realize with a bit of, well a couple of mixed feelings.
"I, wanted to get a, I just wanted to talk." I curse the fuck out of myself for not thinking before I said anything. I just, I just panicked!
"Give me one good reason why I should tell you after what happened last time you, wanted to talk." She glares at me through her gray bangs. "One word left, make it count."
"Um?" I try and think of what one word to say that encapsulates what I need to say, and she shuts the door.
"Wait! Please I need to talk! And not like last time, I need to apologize to him!" I bang on the door.
She opens the door, and I go to talk and try to reason with her. Before I'm punched in the face.
"Ah!" I groan as I hold my nose. " You bitch!"
"Last time you were here, you called me a human passing poser and that I had a cushy life and didn't understand our kind's strife because I grew up in one of the main kingdom cities." She says, and extends her gray hand out to web my mouth shut. "So you can fuck off already!"
She slams the door as soon as she finishes, and as soon as I tear the web from my face.
"Look, I was wrong okay!?" I shout back through the door. "Please open the door!? Let's talk!"
…
Fuck me and my dumb mouth.
'How does Cyril do this?' I think to myself as I bite back my tears and let my head rest on the door. Sliding to my knees as I lose my motivation. At least this way, I'll be here when the door opens. 'He just, he has a way of talking reason into people. As weird as he is, and as infuriating as he can be. He knows what to say. And more importantly what other people are trying to say.'
He speaks Weiss and Ruby. And those two might as well speak a different language.
'Wait a minute, that's it!' I think as I get up and start sprinting back to the room.

Adam Taurus POV
.
"She's gone." Trifa says as she closes the door after checking the hall.
I let out a sigh as I step away from the wall. Feeling like shit for that, but not worse than when I heard her knock.
"You know she's just saying whatever to get to you." Trifa reminds me as she puts her hands in her pockets. "Right?"
"Yeah I know." I say as I rub my temples. "I just, there's a lot of history between us."
"Hey, cheer up man." Shay says as he steps out of the bathroom. His secondary being that he grabs people's attention more easily, and thus couldn't risk being in view. "We all got crazy exes, remember my fling with-"
"Yes! For fuck's sake how could we forget?" Perry says as he puts his hat on.
'None of us could forget.' I think bitterly at the memory.
Perry was on the bed the whole time Blake was at the door. But due to his passive, he went unnoticed. Funnily enough, without his brown hat, he just blends in to the background. Not invisible but, you sort of just pass over him unless something draws your attention. Hence the hat he always wears.
"God, I wish we could forget." Trifa sighs and rolls her eyes. "We had to fake your death after finding you chained up in a basement."
"Hey, I had a good time." Shay says with a dumb smirk, before it falls to a thousand yard stare. "At least until she brought out the candles."
"Yeah, kinda fucked my guy." Perry says as he walks over and puts an elbow on his partner's shoulder. "At least Blake isn't breaking into our room and stealing our stuff."
"Oh piss off!" Trifa throws her arm out and webs Perry's mouth shut. "I've heard it enough times already, let it die."
They're just doing this to make me feel better. Not that I don't appreciate their efforts, but.
"At least you guys didn't feel bad for your exes." I say as I walk over to my nightstand and turn around to lean against it. "I, grew up with Blake. I was there helping make signs that we would hold up during rallies in Anima. After things got better in Menagerie and we went back, we stayed close. I even helped her learn how to fight."
I enjoy those memories. I really do. It's just that Blake can't seem to move past them and wants to stay in a world where we're both kids playing house and act like we don't have different life plans.
"Well, hate to say it." Shay says as he plops down on his bed and lays down. "But uh, good thing you ain't a teacher. I've seen some of her fights and uh, you just stick to your lane."
"Gee, thanks Shay." I roll my eyes, grateful at the attempt to deflect. However poor it is. "But, it's fine. If we just keep ignoring her we-
Knock knock knock
Shay slumps his shoulders as Perry takes off his hat and stands in the corner. While I dive under the bed.
"What is it?" Trifa asks as she opens the door.
"A desperate call for help." I hear Cyril say tiredly.

Cyril Leon POV
.
"So uh, looks like Blake has something she needs to do." Ruby says awkwardly as I draft up a few prints for a watermill.
Weiss is currently in Vale doing, something or other with her money. I don't usually ask. She just said she was shopping for supplies and said I should stay.
Looking up, I turn to the red faced girl currently twiddling her fingers. And I see what's going on here. With Weiss being cagey about leaving, and Blake not being here. We have the room to ourselves.
"I suppose we do." I say as I set my tools down.
"Yep, just the two of us." She chuckles awkwardly as she puts her arms behind her back and rocks on her heels. "So uh, just a boy and a girl. All alone, with no one else around. Because that's what alone means!"
I smile as I stand up and walk towards her.
"You, are really bad at this." I chuckle as I cup her cheek. Causing her to puff her cheeks out in a pout as her ears splay back.
"Well, how would you know?" She pouts and turns around, crossing her arms with a huff.
"Well~." I say as I hold her from behind and pull her close and speak in her ear. "I could show you how I'd do it."
"D-d-do it then!" She tries to sound demanding. But just comes off as weakly challenging at best.
"Oh, I intend to do something." I say as I hold her tighter. "I intend to get you on your bed, and I intend to make sure you get what you want as I get rid of your clothes."
Ruby shivers in my arms as I talk. And I kiss the nape of her neck as I move a hand to unbutton her school blazer. All while she arches her back and presses her rear to my crotch.
"Cyril!" Blake shouts as she slams our door open.
"Ah!" Ruby freaks out and jumps out of my arms before petalling into the bathroom. Slamming the door behind her as I feel my heart leap out of my chest.
"Good you're dressed." Blake says as she grabs my hand and pulls me out of the dorm.
"What the fuck is it now?" I ask in frustration as I just got cockblocked.
"I need your weird therapy powers to help me fix my relationship with Adam and his team." She says as she drags me through the halls.
…
"What!?"

-Ozpin's Office-
.

"Girls will be girls, Oz." Theodore says over the monitor. "As far as I'm concerned, it's your school so I'll defer to your judgement. But I know that's not what you want to hear so, personally I'd figure out what started the incident. Then, if possible, send the teams on a group mission supervised by a staff member. To sort them out. Then once they got back, they'd have to clean the entire school campus together."
'Not a bad suggestion.' I muse. 'Only issue is that with how Young Miss Rose is, she may very well attack the transfers.'
The girl inherited some of her mother's protective instincts when it comes to relationships. But has yet to temper it with maturity and experience. Though, perhaps that experience is what's needed. But them in a situation where she'll be forced to rely on the people she forced bad blood upon.
"Not a bad suggestion." I tell my old friend. "I'll have to rework a few things and think on it further though. Thank you."
Theodore goes to say more, but a knocking sound draws his attention.
"Not a problem old friend." He says as he looks back to the screen. "Unfortunately, that's my assistant with the bane of my existence in hand. So I'll have to speak with you later."
"The dreaded paperwork." I nod sympathetically. "Farewell my friend."
I end the call just in time for my assistant to enter through the elevator with a stack of torture just for me.
"Lovely day today Glynda." I say as I sip my coffee.
"It's a day." She says curtly. "I presume you just finished speaking with Headmaster Theodore?"
"You would presume correctly." I say as I grab the top paper and read it. "Oh? A petition from the students?"
"I put that on top." Glynda says as she adjusts her glasses. "Figured you would enjoy a light start to your work."
I nod appreciatively as I read it
Petition to have ring outs be non-viable for this year's Vytal Tournament.
This petition is signed by all those wishing for this year of the Vytal festival to discount ring outs as a competitively viable method for victory. The methods of which we of the student body find to be lacking in the spirit of the event and counter productive to the tournament experience and all of its participants. Viewers and combatants alike.
Signed-
"This is the entirety of the first year students." I note as I see the list of signatures. "Sans Team Silver. I suspect that is not a coincidence?"
"It is not." Glynda says easily. "Yesterday during Mr. Xioa-Long's exercise, towards the end Cyril abused his semblance and won a series of fights in a row. Making him the winner by virtue of there not being enough combatants left to compete with his score."
I crack a smile at that. Not everyone is born with the same gifts. That is simply a fact of life. Cyril may have relied on his own, overly so or not. but it doesn't change the fact.
Besides, from what I've read of the reports. Restraining the use of his semblance for an easy win, will merely push him to use more undesirable tactics. Which would be quite the spectacle to see.
"Hmm." I hum in thought.
And sign the petition.

A/N
HOLY SHIT
Twenty one thousand words!
Fuck, me.
.
.
So, a bit to go through. Weiss's insecurities get thrown almost on full display here, her "daddy" issues really deal with control and validation. She literally gets off to being validated, something Cyril gives her in spades.
Ruby's issues were a lack of confidence causing her to put on an act to appear more desirable. And the mere fact that Ruby was putting on act around Weiss, set Weiss off.
Like she said, it made her feeling like a set piece to Ruby's play. And she sort of ran with that.
Cyril, played mediator because one, he does care for the two. Two, he meant what he said. He is genuinely glad to learn the way Ruby has been acting around them was just an act and not her. Otherwise he was thinking about slowly breaking things off with her. Three, he's done with letting issues build up while waiting for them to solve themselves.
He arc'd!
.
Ruby's views on their relationship, is pretty much Vale's view on polyamorous relationships. So long as they are exclusive to each other, then it's fine. Because it means they save those feelings for those they care about. If they see other people for purely superficial reasons while in an established relationship, then how do you know your moments are genuine, and not just superficial?
Granted, most people in Vale city still tend to have a single partner. With two being not uncommon but not exactly the standard.
Like, 50% of relationships are monogamous, 30% are polyamorous involving three people, and the other 20% are some other form like open relationships or harem situations like what Velvet has going on.
And yes, this means that by Valean standards Qrow is a bastard. Seeing as he's in a relationship, and still frequents brothels.
Qrow is good, when it comes to his job and training people. And that second one is questionable.
.
Next chapter, Cyril plays therapist to get back to Ruby. And then we have a bit of exploration to do with the other characters. Then a minor time skip into the missions.
