Walking through London trying to hide the black eye that was a gift from her father, given to her the night before when her magic flared up in his presence. He had come home drunk and angry, and started to yell at her mother. Severus tried to divert his attention while she tried to get their mother to calm down. Their father in his drunken state, raised the glass bottle that he held ready to strike her brother, Saphera's magic threw up a protective enchantment and the bottle smashed against the enchantment. Which caused him to turn his angered attention to her as even drunk understood that Severus wouldn't be able to use magic outside of school, and his wife wouldn't dare use magic infront of him.

So now she was walking next to Severus heading towards Platform 9 ¾ to head to Hogwarts. Severus has already spent two years at school, where she had to live in the house with a monster. Severus the night before after she had gotten her beating had told her she shouldn't have done that. He helped her with a few of her cuts and as he did, he told her they where going to leave as early as they could the next morning. So here they where at 10 to 10 and they had two hours to kill while they wait for Lily.

Lost in her thoughts, Saphera was pulled from them when Severus moved her bangs to look at her eye. She could see the subtle differences between her brother and herself. His eyes where onyx, his hair straight where her eyes where like a raven and her hair had a slight wave to it. Severus gently moved her face so he could get a better look at it.

"Well its dark purple, when we find Lily we can see if she can heal it." Severus spoke his voice breaking at the end.

"It's fine Sev, if she cant I'll keep it covered." Saphera spoke quietly.

"I honestly think you'll end up in Hufflepuff."

"No I wont."

"You don't have a mean bone in your body Phera."

That was true, Saphera Snape according to bother her mother and brother was extremely kind, but that maybe because she had the influence of Lily. The Snape siblings meet Lily about 6 years ago at a park because they snuck out to get away from the yelling. Lily had been there showing her sister what she could do magic wise, when Severus called her a witch. While the older girl called him rude as Lily watched him curiously. Ever since that day Lily had been apart of their lives. Saphera had gotten owls from both Severus and Lily over the last two years.

"I can be, I place laxatives in fathers whisky last night after he passed out." She smiled at him.

She watched as Severus's lips twitched at her comment. Saphera had learned to sneak things into Their fathers drinks to either make him sick or sleep. She once mixed enough sleep medicine into one of his bottles of alcohol to make him sleep the weekend away. Saphera was told by her mother that day that she was kind like a Hufflepuff but cunning like a Slytherin.

"I just hope you're not a Gryffindor." Severus chuckled.

"What's wrong if she if one?" A voice came up next to them.

Turning around Severus came face to face with Lily and Saphera looked around her brother to see Mr. and Mrs. Evens standing behind Lily. Out of the three Evens, Lily was the only one that inherited red hair. Her parents both had darker hair, so Saphera could guess that it was either her grandparents that had the red hair.

"Little Saphera, what happened to your face?" Mrs. Evens asked coming to her to look at her eyes.

"I fell last night, nothing big." The lie slid off her tongue as easy as it always has.

"It looks like a nasty bruise though." Mrs. Evens commented while looking at her.

"I was going to ask the healer to look at it on the train." Severus explained.

Both Snape children could lie through their teeth when it came to their abuse they received at the hands of their monster of a father. Their mother when they where young told them that if they told anyone why they where bruised and hurt that they would be taken from her. That they where the reason that she tried to stay on their fathers good side. Though Saphera could tell that Lily knew about it from the look she was giving Severus.

"Mom, Phera is a bite clumsy. I've seen her trip over her own feet at the Ally last week." Lily agreed.

"Did your parents not get her looked at when she fell?" Mr. Evens asked.

"I didn't black out or anything so Mum thought it would be best to keep an eye on me before deciding to go see some one Mr. Evens." Saphera gave him a smile.

She could see that Mr. Evans, a Lawyer was thinking things threw about what was happening. Severus and Saphera believed that Mr. Evens was figuring things out since this happens quite regularly, the older man had seen both the siblings with various bandages and bruises. She had a broken wrist when Severus and Lily came back from Hogwarts last year. She told them she got hurt at school when she tripped down the stair. Even if he was putting two and two together he couldn't say anything at the present moment.

"Well hopefully you'll grow out of that dearie." Mrs. Evens said turning to Lily.

"My mum says the same thing all the time." Saphera laughed.

"Well Lily and Petunia went through their clothes and Lily put some aside for you. Some of Lily's old school uniforms are to small. I'm sure your mum and dad are having a hard time with paying things with the protests going on at the factories."

"That's nice of you all."

"Well its about time to get onto the Platform." Mr. Evens spoke as he looked at his watch.

The group walked through Kings Cross, Lily going on about pulling Saphera's hair up for the feast. There where many on lookers that looked at Saphera with a strange look when they saw her eye. Severus just watched as the girls chatted away. Lily explaining a few things about Hogwarts, it was the usual, Severus listening and watching as though it was what he was to do. Lily being his best friend and Saphera being his sister.

Passing onto the platform brought on amassment as Saphera saw everyone and their families. Sure she had been to the platform before but this time she was leaving with her brother. Not going back to their home to face the monster alone. She would make friends with those in her dorm and be around her brother, learn to control her magic so that what happened last night wont happen again. She wanted to learn everything she could.

"Well lets find a compartment and then I'll see if I can find a spell to help with your eye. Wouldn't want you to get sorted with a black eye." Lily said smiling at the younger girl.

"Ok, but can we leave my bangs alone Lily?"

"Lets see ok."

Settleing down into a compartment, Lily drug out her spell books and began looking through them for a spell. They didn't want her to have to see a Professor that was accompanying the student to the school. They would have to come up with a better lie as to how she got the injury besides falling. Lily told her that a few of her friends would love to meet her and even if she ended up in Slytherin Lily told her she would always help her. Saphera had a feeling that her brother would take a little bit to warm up to the idea if she was placed in Gryffindor. But unknown to either Lily or Severus that Saphera wanted to be in Slytherin. It would make it easier to be near her brother with out causing a stir.

Once Lily found a spell, she was able to help the coloring of the bruise to the point that it was barley noticeable. Soon Lily left to find her other friends and Severus went to look for a few of the boys he became acquainted with the last few years. So that left Saphera to her own devices. She picked up a few of the books that Lily left out and began reading.

"Anything off the trolley Dearie?"

"Um, will I be able to get a sugar quill?" She asked showing the trolley lady what Severus had left her.

"It should dearie." The women smiled at her.

"Thank you." Saphera smiled taking the green sugar quill that was offered up to her.

Saphera had gone back to reading the books around her. She was glad that she had gone un-noticed by many that passed by her compartment. She wasn't ready to meet anyone incase she was place in a house they weren't placed in. She had read that many friendships where broken by house placement. Lily and Severus's friendship was strange, but that was because they spend time together outside of school and they weren't forced into being friends either.

"Those guys are idiots." She heard Severus's voice when the door opened.

"Yeah I know." Another agreed.

She looked up from the book she was reading to find her brother covered in green goo. She saw him not an hour ago and he looked normal. Now he would need to try to get the goo out of his hair before the feast. Getting up she came up to him.

"Sev are you alright?" She asked eyeing the other boy.

"As great as I'll be, but I'm going to get Black back for this." He muttered.

"No offence meant." The other

"Black?" She asked.

"He means my brother Sirius, I'm Regulus Black and you are?" Regulus asked as he looked between the two siblings.

"I'm Saphera Snape, nice to meet you Regulus."
